Called and spoke with Mike aka Coach, super nice guy, really enjoyed talking with him. The finance guy was also really cool to talk with. I got a good deal they paid off my trade plus some. So head on over to Slimans in Amherst ask for Coach and get yourself a new to you ride!!!
Silmans Staff & customer online experience is extraordinary! Mike aka Coach was on the ball with my inrerested vehicles info! Was quick & kinda.Responded quicker than the other 4 dealers I reached out on Sunday. Coach had a video of the vehicle for me ready by 9am Monday Morning. And was ready to have me set for prepping to finance out of state! An All Star Team for Staff. Will be checking in with this Dealer next vehicle purchase ASAP
Bought a 2022 Ram 3500 and Charged an additional $2205 for adding on a towing prep package and upgraded hitch to it. Upon delivery of truck yesterday NO upgraded hitch installed (no hitch at all installed actually) and only basic service for towing package completed which ram website shows is only $545. Appears to be a sales tactic used to increase price of vehicle without actually providing the added value to the vehicle that I was made to think I was getting. Kris Koepp was our sales man and he refuses to provide the itemized receipts for the proof of why I was charged $2205 for the service. Bad business move as we buy new vehicles every two years for the past 20 years. Never again will we buy from Silmans.
I originally went in for a used 4 runner and stole Coach to assist me for a test drive and while waiting inside I couldn’t help but look at the white jeep gladiator sitting right in front of me. Coach was amazing he gave me the rundown on everything and I got to drive away in a brand new jeep gladiator like i had been talking about for months! Thank u Coach!
I wish I had the ability to rate this as a zero and not a one star. Well, lets begin. I had an engine light come on with my 2019 Ram. I decided I would take it to my local delearship (this place should be named a stealership) because that is essentially what they are. I scheduled an appointment and dropped it off on a Saturday. Upon arriving back later that day once the work (essential resetting the sensor) was completed. They charged me 160 dollars to reset the sensor I was told. I questioned them and said well what if it comes back on, since they really did not fix anything. The service rep said well just bring it back in. I left and imagine two days later the check engine light was back on. They said they would need a few days to look at it and fix whatever was wrong. I scheduled another appointment and dropped it off. Two days go by and I ask them what is going on with my truck and their response was we are short staffed and have done nothing with it. I came in the next day and picked up my truck. I would steer clear of this place, they will drag you along until you are tired of dealing with them and nothing will get fixed.
I inquired about a truck through email and Kelly got back to me really fast. She put me in contact with Breanna who got me the numbers I was looking for and didn’t play any games. I told Breanna we would be up the next day to get the truck and she told me to ask for Nick. When we arrived one of the guys behind the desk thanked us for driving all the way there. Nick was already waiting for us with the keys in his hand. We went for a test drive signed papers and that was that. Everyone there was super nice and the process was a piece of cake. Will definitely shop there for our future purchases.
I would watch out for this place, they try hard to sell poor used vehicles for top dollar, I dont care if that is the market, you dont sell junk to people. Also, they do not provide fair offers for your vehicle. I had my ram truck priced at several area dealers, most were about the same and this place was thousands less. They then told me to hurry to the other dealers... terrible experience for the second time.
Hello. Just want to give a heads up on the 2022 RAM 1500. Everyone we have talked to has been as helpful as they could be.But as for the RAM as of now we are very unhappy with it more then we should be with a new vehicle. The large screen in the center goes blank, and the key fob doesnt like to be registered by the truck. And will not start. You been warned.
Not a good experience at all. The service I experienced from them was not at all what I expected. I was quoted at $35 per day for car rental while my vehicle was being repaired for 10 days. Ended up being charged $55 per day. My vehicle shimmies at moderate to higher speeds after they replaced all 24 of the rocker arms inside my engine. Although, it did address the number 4 cylinder misfire.UPDATE: Service supervisor called me about a week after the work was completed. He agreed that I overpaid for the rental and promised I would be receiving a prorated refund. Havent received it yet. 😕UPDATE: I did receive a check finally.
Scheduled oil change was told a price and when done was almost 20$ over price because my vehicle takes 7 quarts shouldnt have the person I made appt with have known that its the only place I get oil changed at Im in the system also not even water in waiting room Conrads, discount tire etc at least has water for there customers when getting a 107$ oil change will be last oil change at this stealership also on invoice got charged 2$ to tell me I need 2 rear tires which I already knew smh
I just bought my first Jeep Wrangler at Slimans and it was an outstanding experience. Slimans has a first class showroom and a friendly staff that is very knowledgeable. I did some research on line, but learned a lot more from my sales consultant Kris Koepp. I went in thinking I would get the 2-door hardtop, but the more I talked to Kris the more I realized that a soft top was the right move for me. He introduced me to the owner Paul Sliman who went out of his way to make me comfortable with the buying experience. It is clear that Paul has been in this business a long time and he truly knows how to treat his customers. I was able to test drive a number of vehicles and each time I was given a thorough explanation of the vehicles features and benefits. I ordered my Wrangler in order to get all the options I wanted - 80th anniversary package, cherry red paint (the actual color shall remain unnamed), automatic, cold-weather package, convenience group, and safety group. When the vehicle arrived, it was exactly how I pictured it. The purchase process was smooth and easy. Kris talked me through all the features and technology. Paul was there at the end to make sure I was completely satisfied. I even got to meet his wonderful daughters Mallory and Olivia who Paul is grooming to take his place.I know my Wrangler will give me many years of great service. I cant wait for the warm weather so I can drop the top, remove the doors and get the full jeep experience. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Slimans for your next Jeep. You can count on a positive experience, friendly staff, and an outstanding vehicle.
They were one of the only places I could get an alignment done on my lifted truck. Was told it was too big to work on by multiple places and dons towing and trucking recommended. Would of gave five stars but they charged me an extra $16 to reset my Sirius radio trial when I cant even use it cause my head unit is broken.
We purchased a beautiful new Jeep that we actually had a hard time getting due to the current chip shortage. Thankfully enough Mike was able to locate the car I wanted and get it to his dealership. Additionally, he went further and made sure the deal was within a comfortable term and payment that fit our budget, solidifying the best deal for us. I was a little apprehensive at first because of previous bad experiences but truly there was no gimmick and I was treated with kindness and understanding the entire time we spoke. When I was available to see the car and potentially make the purchase Mike had the day off, but he directed me to meet with Nick.I cant say enough good things about Nick. He was very knowledgeable, kind, respectful, and super patient with me. Nick didnt pressure me one time and I can say I genuinely appreciated that about him.He really took the time to make sure I was taken care of, learn the vehicle extensively and also become acquainted with the service department. Nick was incredible!I was more than thankful for finding the vehicle I wanted and for working with us to make sure we were as happy as we could be with every part of the purchase. Thank you!
Just wanted to give a huge shout out to Mike (coach) Chermonitz, sales advisor at Slimans. He was the best salesman we have ever worked with. Transaction was smooth as silk, no pressure or changing numbers around last minute like some other car dealers where your like WHAT? Very nice, sincere guy interested in you not just selling you a car. Really enjoyed working with him and are happy with our purchase. I will send friends and family to him every time. Thanks Coach!! Also shout out to Teddy Stout in finance! He also did a great job for us! Thanks Teddy!
Bobby Zimmerman was my salesperson he walked me through all the features demonstrated worked with me on the pricing got me a fantastic deal. Also very noticeable from the road to locate the dealership. Wheelchair accessibility for the building and parking lot very well-marked. And assistance is needed they will help you. They offer free car washes on their vehicle sold.
Went for key code. Says masks required, they will even give you one. Then I go in and see this. Not good. Wont ever be back. So they respond saying they are taking virus seriously. Really? So all ur employees are tested? And our surgeons masks will protect against one of ur asymptomatic employees? Mandated masks mean mandated masks. Theres no grey area.
Just got a new 2021 Jeep Wrangler! Coach was extremely helpful! He did a bunch of footwork before we got there. Had all our available options ready to choose from. Got us a great trade in offer. He went above and beyond to make our experience excellent! We will definitely be buying from Coach in the future!
Outstanding customer service from start to finish. From our first communication with Kris, to them walking us through all the safety features and cool gadgets in our new van, the team at Slimans could not have been more courteous or professional. Even the employee that we paid our bill with told us everything that she was doing and how little time it would take. Amazing! If you are looking for a new or used car, or not even thinking about it like we were, stop by and ask for Kris. You might just end up like us walking away with a new car and lower payments!!! Thanks Slimans! You have a new customer for life here.
My 80 year old father nearly died after he had his spare tire replaced and remounted on his RAM Pro Master City Van. THE SPARE TIRE FELL OFF while he was driving back to the St Louis area where he lives! The spare tire, and wheel were destroyed and his van suffered body damage. His calls to this reprehensible business are not being returned. His insurance company (State Farm) is getting his money back from this Slimy business. Needless to say he wont be returning to this place. The mechanics here are undertrained and inept at safely remounting a spare tire to a van they sell. If you value your life, your loved ones lives or the lives of anyone around you DONT GO HERE!!!
Slimans has good employees and good ethics. They tried real hard to get me into a vehicle that was sufficient for my family and affordable. Unfortunately, we did not succeed in finding that vehicle this time around, but thats okay. I drove away in the vehicle I had purchased from them 3 years ago. #repeatcustomer
I had a great experience purchasing my 2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe at Slimans. Tony Accardi was fantastic! He was very responsive to any question I had, very knowledgeable, and helped me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. His knowledge really helped guide me to customize the perfect Jeep for our family. Thank you Tony!
What an awesome dealership the staff was so incredibly nice and very friendly. “No pressure “My wife and I purchased a 21’ Rubicon from Nick,Once we completed the deal we met up the sales manager Sam and had a great conversation. Then into finance Dee was absolutely fantastic with us, as mentioned before absolutely no pressure and we were in and out.Thank you Sliman’s for making your facility a very enjoyable atmosphere.
Purchased a 2016 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon from Ross. Ross was great! Friendly and very helpful. Sent me multiple photographs and answered all my questions. Very customer service oriented and responsive. Most enjoyable car buying experience I’ve ever had. We love our new used “Ruby”! Thank you Ross. 😎
First of all, this was my first online order shipping from Ohio to Virginia. Gene was extremely quick to respond and constantly gave updates after we came to an agreement on a deal. If you want fast, reliable and a peace of mind, stress free service/process I highly recommend speaking to Gene. My 2018 Ram 1500 is way above standards and at a reasonable price. The Interior came nice and clean as expected.
I have never dealt with such unproffesionalism or lack of urgency. My truck was transfered to Slimans for a reprogramming of the throttle body and it sat for almost three weeks. I had rescheduled camping trips, physical therapy, and needed to change my hours at work to match my wifes. I called several times and was given the same story, that they were working on it. I went to Slimans to retrieve some paperwork, only to find my truck in the parking lot. I still have to find a service center that either can or is willing to service my truck after almost 3 weeks.
Horrible place for service, took in my Jeep for service got it back with a cracked windshield that they refuse to pay for. Also had to bring it back 3 times for them to fix the same thing... finally took it to somewhere competent to get fixed. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS. Yes you did offer a resolution it was giving me an aftermarket windshield that I was to pay full price for I don’t really call that a resolution when you broke the windshield
I recently purchased a used car from Slimans using a far search app. I requested more info on the car I found and heard back quickly! I was in contact with the online sales manager, Coach. He was great to work with and the application process was streamlined very well. I would definitely recommend this dealership to friends and family.
Slimans service department is absolutely terrible! They said our car was fixed and to come pick it up but surprise it wasnt we didnt even make it out of the parking spot we were in then they said to leave it again and they would contact us. 2 days later they said it should be ready to pick up tomorrow (friday) it is now monday and we still dont have our car and I had to call them to hear they need another 7-10 days to get another part thats $400. They wont provide any details or information nor a rental to get through the total 3 weeks they have ours. POOR service, communication and customer support will never recommend!
Today was a great experience at Slimans in Amherst. Mike “Coach” helped me pick out my new dream car a, Jeep Grand Cherokee limited edition. “Coach” was very honest, down to earth, trustworthy, genuine, and very easy to talk with. “Coach” made me feel at ease and helped calm my nerves. I would highly recommend Slimans dealership, I feel like they are a great company to buy from. The buying process was very smooth, I didn’t feel pressured or taken advantage of when buying a car here. I would also highly recommend working with Mike “coach”. I would buy again from here.
I definitely would not recommend them to anyone, I was in the market for a car and they had just the one I wanted but when I got my quote back they tried to charge me msrp prices. No rebates no incentives Nothing at all. Bottom line is they quoted me almost 800 bucks a month with 2k down for a 48k vehicle lol what a a joke. I had multiple quotes before I tried to deal with them and they arent even in the ballpark of a good deal. Dont deal with them if your looking for a vehicle.
Well my Dodge Dart blew the transmission with 112k miles. That’s should tell you enough about dodge. They wanted 7600 to replace, there was nothing wrong with the car as preventative maintenance has always been done. As I wasn’t paying the 7600 to get the car fixed I called a tow company to get the car out. No one told me about a 140 dollar diagnostic test I could’ve done at auto zone for free as my tow driver wasn’t able to take the car. Needless to say, these people didn’t even try and sell me a new car and make a deal. I do not recommend this company to anyone, even my worst enemy. I went with Premier Toyota of Amherst where I got a brand new 2021 Rav4
Mike coach our salesman was excellent! Patient, good listener, happy to help in any way possible. He was the reason my very particular father was able to get a new Jeep Cherokee with every single feature he wanted at a price he could live with. Highly recommend him and Slimans Dodge in Amherst,OH!
Today My bestie and I went to the dealership looking simply to test drive a Jeep and are now leaving with a beautiful new to me Jeep Patriot 4x4 which I needed for the backroads I will be on in the near future. Coach Mike Chermonitz was absolutely amazing and my whole experience here was truly enjoyable! Great people doing great things. 👍 thank you for making the process relaxed and comfortable from start to finish ❤
Purchased a vehicle from out of state. Mike Cheromitz (Coach) took lots of pictures including video to ensure we had the best experience even when purchasing remote. Mike was the most responsive and truly provided a wonderful experience! The truck is exactly as Mike said and we couldnt be more happier with the experience at Slimans!
Coach was absolutely amazing to work with! He was extremely knowledgeable and made the car-buying experience so stress-free and pleasant. I will definitely be seeing him for my next car purchase and highly recommend him and the entire Slimans team. Thanks! I love my Jeep!
We just purchased a car yesterday from Slimans. Mike, aka Coach, was great. He was personable, knowledgeable, and if he didnt know the answer to a question we asked, he would find someone who did. Mike definitely cares about his customers and really enjoys his job. Mike listens to his customers wants and needs.
I just got a car from them yesterday and I am 100% SATISFACED! Not only with the car but also with the amazing treat from the team. Especially Coach Mike! He was extremely nice and helpful from beginning to end. He made sure we felt comfortable while we waited for paperwork to be ready and everything was done just how I wanted it. They have a lot amazing cars (new cars and used cars) to select from and really affordable prices which is the best part.
Yesterday I traded in my car hoping to find something a little bigger and safer, because I have a baby due in August. It was a hot day and I am almost 8 months pregnant, but Coach (Mike) was very accommodating to us. They were out of water, so he bought us water from the break room. He was very patient with me as I was waddling around the lot trying to keep up. Hes very caring and personable. He showed my boyfriend and I a few cars which fit our needs without wasting time or trying to sell us something we obviously didnt want. We decided on a car that I thought Id have to wait many more years for- one of my dream cars! When we left the lot, we discovered even more features that we didnt know we were getting. These features were also in my idea of a dream car, but I hadnt expressed that to him at the time, like a very nice sound system and cooled seats. Overall Coach was phenomenal; he was the perfect salesman for us. I hope whoever reads this asks for him, because you wont be disappointed!
Nick Walter and Sam the manager made my purchase of my fifth vehicle from Slimans the easiest one yet. I came in to look at a Jeep Compass and decided it was not for me. Nick offered to show me a few options that might fit what I was looking for. I chose a Dodge Journey that was a great value for money. After I purchased he walked me through all of the new options on my car. I will always recommend Slimans to anyone I know. Stop up and ask for Nick you will be very happy.
Bought a new car and the experience was uneventful, but the service department at this dealership is horrible. Had an accident in the car and decided to bring it back to Slimans. The original quote for repairs was 16 days (got hit on the passenger door and driver side fender. Simple and quick repair you’d think). 16 days later the repairs were delayed to 22 days. 22 days later the repairs were delayed another 8 days. 30 days deep on my 16 day original estimate you’d think they’d have it done. Nope, another delay for 4 days. Dealer told me it’d be done for sure this time. Then I call them and they tell me it was actually delayed until early tomorrow around noon. Call at noon again and they tell me it was delayed again until around 5 pm. Every time I’d call in to ask about the service I’d get voice mailed. Call back and speak to the desk only to be told the person that at this point had voice mailed me 5 times in a row was sitting at her desk.TLDR: if you want someone that can keep to their word on your car repairs find a different repair shop. Very slow and unreliable.
Very dishonest, typical car dealership. They gave us the run around multiple times, Mike, the salesman we were working with over the phone, told us one thing and the dealership told us another. The first time we visited the dealership we drove 2 hours one way, for him to not be there. The second time we were supposed to have made a deal prior to making the drive to the dealership, upon arrival we find out Mike is not there, again. No one knew of the deal that was made and we were told they could not honor it. Even though we had proof of the deal through messages. When we tried to contact Mike, he would not answer his phone. Even though the dealership said they had just spoke to him moments before.
I drove 4hrs to purchase a new/used truck, excellent service and the hospitality was exceptional. Worked with a salesman by the name of Joe Shrader and the finance lady Vicky Carrubba, they had me out the door in my new truck within a hour. Big thanks to Alicia Zagorski - Internet Sales Advisor for getting the sales process started and the seamless hand off!!
Disappointed in the service received today. I usually have a car ready for me when I drop off for service but today there’s no car. I’m almost 38 weeks pregnant and now standing around waiting for a ride home. And then have to get a ride back as I work tomorrow morning and pick the kids up from school. It would have been helpful to know there was no rental car available before I made the appointment.
*****Update*****Here is a follow up to my previous review. My truck ended up going in four times total just to have the recalled bed step replaced. After the third visit, the bumper looks like it was removed or loosened to accommodate the bracket for the step. When I got home, I noticed the bumper looked out of place which was causing the step to get stuck behind it, instead of it moving freely up and down. I immediately called and spoke to the manager who said he would pick it up the next day and have it fixed and returned. I was left without my vehicle for about 5 hours...another day wasted. Bed step was finally fixed properly, however, when my vehicle was returned, the memory functions for the seats and mirrors no longer work. This may just be a coincidence, but my truck is still very new and everything was working prior to it being picked up. So, it’s extremely frustrating that every time I get my vehicle back, there are more problems.I have since filled out the survey. I have not been contacted by anyone. Personally, I hate being so negative, but this is some of the worst customer service I’ve had, period!I have been to Firelands (formally Kasper) Dodge/Jeep/Ram service department a few times and the service was far above and beyond Sliman’s. I will gladly travel further to have my vehicle serviced there. It’s a pity...they could’ve easily done so much more to make up for their poor service.******************I want to explain what happened and show how unacceptable this experience was.I returned a call on Thursday (Aug 6th), in response to a voicemail that was left saying the parts were in to replace my bed step, that was removed a few weeks earlier due to a recall. They didn’t have any availability until the following week, which was not a problem. I scheduled the first appointment available, Monday at 8:00 am. I was asked if I would be leaving my vehicle or staying. I asked how long the service would take and I was told about 30 min, 45 min max.I brought my vehicle in around 7:50 am and was immediately checked in and was told they would get my truck in as soon as the techs arrived. I was directed to the waiting area where I remained until a little after 9 when I poked my head into the service bays to see if my truck was still being worked on and didn’t see it. I figured I’d give it a bit more time time, went back to the waiting area. After another hour I poked my head back in and still did not see my truck being worked on. I walked around the parking lot to see if my truck was out there, and didn’t see it. So, around 10:30 I went to the service counter and asked about my truck. The guy had no idea what was going on with my truck, so he went to talk to the service tech. He comes back to tell me that they don’t have the part to replace the bed step and it would take a few days to get the part. He asked me if I wanted to leave my vehicle there, which I replied no. He gave me my key back and said they would call me when the part they need comes in.Not only was I made to needlessly wait around for two and a half hours, but I could’ve waited the whole day with absolutely nothing being done and not being told anything. Not sure why they called to schedule the repair without having the parts needed and I am absolutely fuming that they could’ve told me in the first few minutes after realizing they couldn’t complete the repair instead of parking my truck out in the back of the parking lot and forgetting about me.It has also been a week now since the incident and have not heard anything about getting the part in that they need.No customer should be treated in this manner. It clearly shows that a lack of respect and appreciation for your customers and that customers aren’t a number 1 priority.
I do not recommend using this dealers service or body shop referral ever. They do an abysmal job and then if the customer is not happy...you are out of luck. We were actually told if we did not pay we do not get our vehicle back, even if you are not satisfied. Second rate all the way. And the service manager called my guy an a**hole. Unbelievable
Had a wonderful experience purchasing a certified pre owned vehicle at Slimans. Searched on line this afternoon and found my vehicle then spoke to Alicia who got things going via phone. Credit check and financing done on line with Nick. Came in at 6pm signed papers, turned in my lease and drove home at 8pm. The easiest car purchase ever! Thank you for your kindness and professionalism. I would highly recommend Slimans to anyone looking for a Jeep or Chrysler product.
We scheduled an appointment to get a recall completed on our truck. The batteries died the morning of our appointment. We used our Jeep to jump the truck and arrived at our appointment on time. I explained that I thought the batteries were shot upon dropping it off (4+ year old original batteries). Even with our appointment it took the service department 8 days with our truck before it was completed. I am not sure the purpose of scheduling an appointment as other jobs seemed to take priority. I did end up buying new batteries through the dealer, which was a mistake. While the price of the batteries was not bad, the labor to install and reset codes was ridiculous. When I showed up to pickup the truck I suppose I was expecting a little relief on the labor cost since the tech had said Ill make good on it when my truck had not been touched for days after drop off. However that was not the case. I was charged for everything they possibly could charge me for ($563.11 for two batteries installed). I understand things happen but do not tell me you will make good on it then at pickup offer nothing more than an apology and explaining this was not a normal timeline. We will be taking our truck and Jeep elsewhere for future service and purchases.
AMAZEBALLS!!!! I am a nightshift nurse and the fact that they let me come in so late and I didnt feel rushed was great. However what truely makes it AMAZEBALLS is their staff. From the time I walked in I was treated like an old friend. I had called ahead and spoke with Sam, when I got there Mike (Coach) had the vehicles waiting for me to test drive. He was honest about everything (I had done my research before hand). He was friendly and really let me explore my options. It was snowing and cold and it didnt phase him nor Sam. Then came the part most people dread, the financing part. Sam had shown us all the best options and let us choose. He didnt try to push one option over another. Then we headed over to Vicky. She was just AMAZEBALLS as the boys. She didnt try and get us to buy into extra coverage that we wouldnt need. She made everything efficient and easy, no rushing either, she didnt even get annoyed when I was reading the paperwork (even though it was almost closing). When I finished signing everything she also made sure I was coming back to do their welcome to the family like tour, as it was after closing when we finished. The whole gang really made me feel at ease making such a huge purchase. I was not ready or expecting to make a purchase of a vehicle yet. I used to get all my vehicles from another place we wont mention, but I know can see me coming here for the long run. They are a local family business. At most dealerships its so fast paced and if you leave you lose the offer, not here. They value their name and reputation (very rare in todays world) and I really appreciate that.In short if you are looking for a vehicle (ready or not) give them a stop in. I promise you wont be disappointed.Thank you guys for everything!!
My first leasing experience with Sliman’s was great. I was very fortunate to meet and work with Kris Koepp in the sales department. Kris went above and beyond to provide an exceptional experience from start to finish. Perfect balance of professionalism, efficiency and personability. Not once did I feel pressured. Keep up the great work & thank you guys!
I’ve now leased 3 vehicles from Sliman’s. My most recent purchase was not available on the lot in my preferred color. They graciously searched for it, picked it up, and it was ready to be driven off the lot all within 4 days. Very satisfied customer! Thank you Sliman’s dealership for the incomparable customer service!
Take this as a warning- DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE TO GET SERVICED!! By far the worst customer service we have experienced. We bought a truck from here and its been nothing but issues. First it took almost 3 months to get the spare key, then last week we had to get towed in because it wouldnt start... 2016 power wagon, 42k miles on it.First we were told it was the starter, then they call back and say that the brakes were completely shot and all 4 need replaced, mind you that weve had the truck for 5 1/2months and only put 2,500 miles on it. They said it was going to be 1600 for brakes, 500 for the starter. After 2 days of arguing with them we find out that the brakes are at 50% and dont need replaced, the starter was completely rusted and shouldve been replaced before they even put it on the lot. Then because we found another place that will charge us $300 to do the brakes, slimans service people decide to act like children and delay putting the truck back together and when it was finally done the truck is a mess inside/out, grease inside the truck, on the seat, on the doors, inside the handles. The truck has white powder stuff all over it. The service manager Mark was rude & very defensive, Travis the secretary/cashier should not be talking to customers on the phone especially if he doesnt know what is wrong with the vehicle. Very unprofessional how they treated us and they also talked badly about the other business that will be doing our brakes, Kitchens in vermilion. The service manager at slimans talked badly about them in front of other customers because we decided to have them fix the truck. We will never purchase another vehicle here again. Completely disgusted with the service, how we were treated and the condition our vehicle was in when we got it back.
If you’re reading this, you too have likely scoured countless dealerships online trying to find a great deal or the perfect car. After ample due diligence and search parameters of 250 miles in an effort to breakdown various pricing tactics and hidden fees, I found a $42,000 used Ram that met nearly every prerequisite I had. I provided a dozen pictures of my vehicle, mileage, and my VIN for a ballpark trade in value to spare a 5 hour drive. The numbers looked good and I had two pending offers with other dealers to weigh my options. Slimans accepted my offer via email, replied with a written proposal and the current mileage on their vehicle, (~20% higher than advertised on their site and 3rd party listing), and I reviewed the pending deals over the weekend. Sunday, I noticed the truck was no longer on my favorites and emailed the finance person and texted the salesperson hoping for a reply in the morning. Perhaps they pulled the vehicle from the site due to the accepted offer? A second attempt midday Monday returned a text stating it SOLD, but naturally only after the 73+ days on their lot once I have an accepted offer. The vehicle was back in my favorites and online Monday, so by Wednesday, I assumed the other deal (?) fell through. I called the dealership from the same name/number on file in their CRM, and Gene answered, eager to check on the vehicles availability. In an effort to fill the silence he told me he was logging in to the program to check, looked momentarily, then put me on a brief hold, to return stating the truck had sold “a few days ago”. His demeanor and tone seemed off. Sure enough, the truck was still on their site, that same site that provides the free carfax, that same carfax showing the vehicle being listed for sale again the day prior (odd for a car already sold 3 days ago). You know when things just don’t add up to the point where you think you’ve gone crazy? I was there. To cross check my hunch having now been fully vested, my wife requested information on the truck via the third party search engine. Two hours later, Nick sends her an email stating that not only is it still available, but the 2019 Ram Laramie is an EXCELLENT choice. Very reassuring!I immediately forwarded that email to the finance person and Nick, along with the carfax image and the signed proposal. NOTHING.Maybe the owner cares? His name IS on the building. Forwarded the email thread and synopsis hoping it was merely oversight and miscommunication to allow an opportunity for resolve or redemption. Will he assist to honor the deal? NO reply.Thursday...radio SILENCE. Sent a follow-up to the owner and hinted towards the repercussions of a NEGATIVE online review to boot. ZERO response.Friday, while writing reviews on the third party site for each notable dealership I dealt with (some were very pleasant experiences), Slimans mysteriously is NOT LISTED deeming it unable to be reviewed on the site as it cycles through the “rate this dealer” field. I wrote to those gurus to determine WHY Slimans is the ONLY dealer I CANNOT review and am awaiting a reply. I attempted to circumvent it by visiting Slimans directly on said site, I click on the reviews button, and it defaults me to not only the OTHER dealership I bought from this morning, but the other 8+/- that I’d contacted in the last two weeks. There are RAMifications for the lack of integrity and ethics ;). A potential net loss on the direct cost of a vehicle is a solitary event. The indirect expense of providing a terrible customer experience collectively leaves a virtual scar.So if you’d like to pursue business with a company who seems to condone a culture of ingrained deceit and blatant lies whilst knowing the power of various online tools to disprove them, by all means, you can have my spot in line. When presented with a problem, they not only failed to acknowledge their actions and/or take any accountability, but apparently went even further to attempt to silence my voice on the third party review.**INSERT PUBLIC REACTIVE CUSTOMER RELATIONS FEEDBACK BELOW
I shared this (lengthy) review with the corporate survey Chrysler sent after our purchase and thought I would copy and share it here as well! Sorry its so long but I feel its worth your time if youre in a rush, skip to the end.Our lease on our 2017 Pacifica was coming to an end and car shopping with three kids was definitely something I was not looking forward to doing! I needed a final oil change before turning in our leased Pacifica (through another dealership) and thought Id discuss lease end options while I waited. I walked into the showroom and after myself and my kids were basically were ignored and dismissed by the welcome staff I decided it was time to find a new dealership.I checked inventory online at a few other places and settled on starting our search at Slimans based on their selection. From the time we pulled into their parking lot until the time we drove away in our new van every step was seamless!!I couldnt have asked for a better experience!! Mike Coach helped us look at the Pacifica models I narrowed it down to online. He answered every question we had and what he didnt know he found out. He was so sweet with our kids, acknowledged them and how they felt and explained to us how they would benefit from certain features in the models we were looking at now and in the future. The conversation regarding trim levels felt genuine and really made it seem like we were friends taking about cars, not a salesman selling us something we didnt need.Once we settled on the van we all liked, Mike set us up at a table inside with enough seats for all of us. Everyone in the showroom was friendly and the facility in general was clean and tidy. The manager, Sam, came over to see how everything was going. He was exceptional!! Typically managers we have interacted with elsewhere do their check in and it feels very flat and scripted. Sam talked to everyone with the same kind, genuine tone and was very professional when someone else needed his attention. He made us all feel very welcome there!!Between Sam and Mike I felt the entire numbers process was fair, respected everyones best interest and truthfully was the part I was most nervous about. I didnt think the kids had the ability to sit through that part but it was so easy, quick and to the point in the end it wasnt a concern at all.Two other people I want to mention were Sherry who I assume was in a cashier type position and Vicky, in finance.Sherry is one of the kindest people Ive ever met. On the way to the restroom I stopped and told her how we thought her shredder sounded like a popcorn machine to the kids! She laughed at the thought of them being disappointed it was only paper and reminisced about the pre Covid popcorn and snacks they previously had. Honestly, she couldve continued shredding while we talked but made the point to stop what she was doing and really listened. Vicky did our final paperwork. She made that process so much less intimidating by explaining things clearly and kept things simple. She explained different packages available to add to our purchase and removed all confusion by breaking things down appropriately. We talked about her kids and the similarities between our children and how much we miss things we previously have taken for granted like graduations.I mention all the side conversation to really stress the point each person we interacted with wanted to make us all feel like family! There wasnt a second of our time that I felt was wasted on some sales pitch and the small talk had meaning. That type of service cant be taught! It isnt learned through meetings or training. That only comes from good, honest people. Although I felt confident we got the best deal, I will continue to go there for years to come even if somehow I could save money elsewhere JUST because of the people we met at Slimans. Everyone deserves to be treated with kindness, always and the people we met at Slimans must feel the same way. Thank you for everything!
I took my vehicle here for a recall repair. While there I paid them to do some diagnostics at a charge of $110. They picked my car up and returned it. When I looked at my receipt, they overcharged me more than we agreed upon. When I called to dispute this charge, the guy kept trying to man splain how they charge everyone these extra hidden fees that were unauthorized. I have left message after message for their manager Mark and have yet to receive a return call. Ive disputed with my bank and my next step will be a police report for theft! NEGATIVE 10 STARS!!!
I just recently purchased a 2010 Chrysler 300C from a smaller dealer and it had 3 open recalls on it. I called Slimans to set up an appointment to get the recalls fixed ASAP. The man I spoke with checked inventory and said he had most of the parts on site to perform the recall work and set up a drop off date of Friday 10/04. He had to order a few other parts he didnt have but assured me they would arrive in a day or so. So Friday came and I dropped my vehicle off in the morning and met with my service advisor Pam. She is amazing by the way. Very sweet and very upfront. I told her I knew my vehicle needed an alignment and possibly other things done to it and that I had literally just picked the vehicle up from another small dealer and was pretty sure it needed a few other minor things fixed but I just wanted Slimans to do the recall work. She made sure to put in the service notes. I left and by the time I got home Pam contacted me and reminded me of the timing chain recall on my vehicle and that they wouldnt be able to start until possibly Monday. I said that was fine. She also said she could get me a loaner if needed. I declined because I already made plans to be out of a car for at least a week. So fast forward to Monday afternoon, around noon, the heavy engine mechanic was already done with the 2 other recalls working on the timing chain and noticed my water pump was leaking in my timing case. Pam called me immediately and notified me of the issue and I decided to go ahead and have them replace while the heavy engine mechanic was already in the area that needed attention. Because of Pam I saved hundreds of dollars in labor installing a water pump. My car was done and ready to be picked up Monday 10/07 around 2pm! I am so happy with the service and care I received at Slimans! Seriously. I dont know who the mechanics are that worked on my vehicle but Id like to thank them and tell them they did an amazing job and are super efficient at what they do! Thank you guys so much. And thank you Pam for being amazing and taking the time to be an awesome service advisor! Somebody get these people a raise! 5 star review for you Slimans!
Bought my first Jeep at Sliman’s . Everyone was very nice and helpful but Eugene went beyond that. Eugene made sure I got all the the features that I wanted as well as the color making my purchase very easy. He also helped me with getting service done on my vehicle. Eugene stays connected with his customers and is an excellent salesperson!!
Fantastic service! I was looking at a used 2019 Jeep Compass Trailhawk where I live in Indiana, and Kelly Hettinga from Slimans hooked me up with the exact same vehicle, in better condition, certified pre-owned with all of those benefits, and with less miles for a better deal! The salesman Chris and business manager Ryan were also a pleasure to work with, as well as the delivery driver who brought the vehicle- FOR FREE- to me 3 hours and 45 minutes away to check out and test drive at my house. I couldnt be any happier and highly recommend Slimans!
Ok, Ill elaborate on our experience with Slimans Dodge. A few years ago, we went there to purchase a car. We settled on a.. Dodge Journey I believe it was, but they didnt have one in stock with the all of the features we wanted. The salesman told us not to worry, he would find us one with everything we wanted. Couple days go by, we hear nothing, so I called him... Oh yeah oh yeah we found it and its in transit. Itll be here in just a few days.. Another few days goes by, hear nothing. Call him up, this time its Oh the truck broke down, but its on its way.. A week goes by of, you guessed it, hearing nothing. We went straight to Mike Bass and drive our brand new car off the lot the very next day.
This has been the worst service I’ve ever experienced!! When my fiancé bought a Challenger they told us as part of the deal they would fix the 4 small dents on the car the following week. Nobody followed up with us for over 3 weeks, even though we kept asking, then they blamed it on someone else. We set up an appt to get them fixed finally and we live 1 hr 15 mins away, so after driving there and waiting for 3 hrs at the shop they told me the dent guy never showed up. Why was I not told hours before this?? We were also supposed to get our 2nd key that day but they said it didn’t come in and we’d have to come back in a day or two. I was so upset and the manager had no good explanation. They then promised to come to our house the following week, pick up the car, fix the dents, detail it and bring back with a full tank of gas and the 2nd key. We just got the car back and it was not detailed nor did anyone call us to follow up today or to tell us when it was done. They didn’t even give it a free car wash! The customer service here is beyond horrible. I would NEVER recommend this dealership to anyone. And the fact that we have yet to even hear from our original sales person is ridiculous. Some severe training needs done here on human decency and customer service.
Just received some of the best service ever!!!! Nick Walter is hands down one of the best people to ever purchase a car from. Not only was he extremely helpful during the process, but he also went above and beyond to get me in the car that I wanted. I will for sure be going back to him for every single vehicle purchase I make.
I have purchased 2 vehicles from Tom. He found me exactly what I needed and wanted in the price range I wanted to be in. The first vehicle I purchased was a used Jeep Patriot and the second a new Grand Caravan. I have always had excellent service with both of my vehicles. I could not be happier with Slimans and Tom.
When I walked in to the service department, there was no one present. About two minutes later Shane walked in, he did not acknowledge me, not hello, have you been helped, not even I’ll be with you shortly. After the service was completed on my vehicle I was disappointed that the deal that I have been offered and have received for about a year now was not even offered by Shane. When I asked, I was told that I needed to mention the offer. I feel that Shane needs to work on his customer service. I have been a customer of Sliman’s for years and this is the first time I have been dissatisfied.
My husband Scott Williams and I bought a Jeep Renegade recently. The whole experience from test driving several cars to the financing of our new vehicle was excellent and stress free. Eugene McCoy was our salesman and provided us excellent service during the whole process. We will definitely be buying our next vehicle from Eugene and Slimans. I highly recommend checking them out and asking for Eugene!
Mike Akers was excellent. Very communicative and quick to help with a couple of minor hiccups along the way after purchasing the vehicle. Took the vehicle to service to have a few minor dents fixed that were there upon purchase, service did not call us when vehicle was fixed even though they knew we had to be back in Columbus by Monday. Sales managaer and Mike were really quick to locate our vehicle in time while service was closed for the weekend.
From the first time I walked in to Slimans I was impressed with the courteous and friendly staff. Eugene McCoy found exactly what I was looking for and in my price range. He made purchasing my Jeep Patriot easy and stress-freeThe service staff are efficient and will take time to answer my questions. I am always satisfied when I leave there.
Had a great experience buying my car from here! Couldnt have asked for more friendly people. Worked with Casey and Tom, both were so friendly and helped me out and went the extra mile for me. Definitely will be taking my business back to them. I would recommend Casey from Sales, super nice guy and isnt the pushy type of sales men. Great experience from the whole staff!
Went there to check into a car for my tax refund and the salesman was amazing open and honest. I dont have his name. My dad and sisters have been buying trucks and keeps from them for decades. Trusted dealer. We however had to go somewhere that doesnt use credit. Otherwise wed gone through here
I have always had good service each time Ive been there, the staff was friendly and it was an overall good experience. When I had purchased my Chrysler 200, Tom Szudarek was very friendly with a smile on his face and his personality made this purchase more pleasurable. I will refer friends and family to Tom every time. If Im ever in the market again, I will be returning to Slimans and will be looking forward to Tom selling me my next car.
I have to say I think the service I received at Slimans is the worst I have received in my life. Went in for a recall by Dodge, I was told on the day of my appointment that the computer system was down and I would have to re-schedule. Which I did and figured why I was there I would get a oil change. Matt the service guy that was helping me rescheduled the recall appointment and oil change, he even wrote everything on the back of his business card. Well the day of the appointment came and we dropped off my truck. Matt told me they will call us when my truck was ready. So I waited and waited finally my husband called and talked to Matt. Matt said recall was done but he had no record of the oil change. My husband went on to question Matt about the oil change and even reminded him he made the appointment and even wrote it in the back of his business card. Well Matt rudely hung up on my husband after arguing for about 10 minutes. When I got my truck back it was dirtier than when I took it in. Grease and oil finger prints all over the hood and front fenders. Then to top it all off when I went to pay the quote for the oil change was about $35 but of course when I went to pay the bill is now $66. Bait and switch, scam!! The lady that checked me out was even more unpleasant to deal with than Matt. I would suggest everyone stay away from from this dealership. My husband grew up in Amherst and could not believe the terrible service we got. I will have to travel now to North Olmsted now for service. Also husband called to talk with service manager and of course no one was brave enough to call back. Slimans you have our contact information I’d you would like to discuss
I had the best experience at slimans! Eugene helped us get into a vehicle that was in our price range even with less than perfect credit. He gave us his undivided attention from the time we pulled into the lot until the time we left. My husband and I had such a great experience we took my daughter and son in law to see Eugene when they needed a car! Definitely going to go back there!
Just want to give Kris Koepp and Eugene McCoy shout outs. Both are very helpful, upfront and honest. I will be a lifetime customer because of them. The service dept staff also deserves a shout out. There’s nothing they won’t do for you and they’ll do it with a smile. Thank you for all you do Slimans!
Bought our can here a couple of years ago. great service from the salesmen as well as the service center. great with explaining warranties and what any issues are. also loved that we had 4 free oil changes. Will definitely continue to do business with Slimans! If in the market to buy a new or used car from here, talk to James Elwell!
THE WORSTAbsolutely horrible service department. I opted not to have unnecessary work done, and when my vehicle was returned, it looked like someone dumped a shop-vac on my vehicle. (it was clean when it went in) AND they greased the car all up (grease under the door handles, etc). Criminal behavior by low paid, uneducated children working in the garage.I will never set foot in that place, for any reason, ever again. STAY AWAY!
Very satisfied...Ha! All of three weeks into buying the car..then my driver window busted came in and told them about my issue service manager told me that I didnt purchase an extended warranty but that he would do me the favor and charge me a 100 dollars!! as if I did mind you I didnt even make my first payment and he argued with me back n forth even telling me well maam it is a USED CAR👿 um.... You didnt say that when you were trying to sell the car! Well this went on for a few minutes until he finally agreed to fix it... I bring the car in my appointment was at 1pm arrived at 12:48.. 3p rolls around and they had completely forgot about my car and mind you Im sitting in the waiting room with three kids one of them a 2yr old! And theyre pissy with me about it for something that cant take more than 20min to do.... left at 5pm five hours!!! Terrible customer service everything was sweet until you sign the papers then Im a problem! Never Again!
Over the past 5 years I have had my heart set on purchasing a Jeep Wrangler. And with the help of an awesome sales associate by the name of Eugene at Slimans Chrysler in Amherst,Oh he made that possible. Words cannot describe how happy and pleased I am with my purchase and with my overall treatment. I give the sales associate, staff, and dealership 5 stars and I highly recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle.
Set up a 8:30am appointment so I could have my Jeep back the same day they said. They’re replacing control arms that they said they had in stock and it’s a job I can do in 3 hours MYSELF and I’m no mechanic. But I did it through them bc of warranty . They didn’t get my car in the shop till 4:00pm WHYD I even set an appointment. Just another day of work missed. They did this also with a computer in my Jeep when I got it replaced a few weeks ago. They told me it could be a few days. to get the part and get it done no big deal. A few days . Finally got my car back over a week later with smudges and scratches that I know damn well weren’t there before. I always take pictures of my car before I send it to the shop due to a bad experience before. So after the week I struggled to find a way to work and this time around the 2 200$ deductibles have cost me about 1,200$ in lost wages. Never dealing with them again.
Best Stealership around! Theyll take more money than they quoted and not do the work. Courtesy check is free cause they dont do it. Car could have serious safety issues, but they dont care. Wont stand by their word or do anything to help a customer. Service took over a week for simple computer scan/flash and new key. Parts pricing is even over corporate MSRP so you know its good. Called to see if they would make things right and only got the run around with no straight answer upfront. Ill never go back and never recommend anyone to.Added for response: I have already called Mark for an answer and got absolutely no response, that was part of the run around I got. You definitely took more money than quoted. Coupon from your site was not on the bill. Any kind of courtesy check was not done with my paid service.
Ive had nothing but wonderful experiences with Slimans. Theyre always accommodating and quick to tackle any concern. Im BIG on positive customer service, and theyve never disappointed me or my family. I will always, always, always get my vehicles AND service here. Aside from their service to their customers, Slimans is always giving back to the community in big ways - clothing drives, breast cancer research, local athletics, and Special Olympics are just a handful of ways they show support. Thank you to such a wonderful business and even better family for all you do.
Horrible Customer Service. Very pushy dealership. My girlfriends grandma always bought her cars outright. This time she financed and went to Slimans because someone she knows owns a Renegade. She felt pressured and got it and realized after a day that her 80 year old body couldn’t take the discomfort of the seats. We contacted the lender who agreed to cancel the funding but Slimans only cares about there money and stated they don’t take back cars and if the lender didn’t fund the loan they would have to finance her through another lender. While an 80 year old woman cried in the finance office and attempted to just get her car back or even swap or trade it in for another car they still wouldn’t do anything. We went over to Premier Toyota of Amherst where they have a large selection of new and pre owned vehicles. I personally always go there, they were able to do exactly what we needed to do for a shorter term, lower payment, and got her a 2020 Toyota RAV4 completely loaded. Mr. Sliman should be ashamed of how he allows himself and his employees to do business. Awful experience for an elderly woman.
Ive had two cars serviced here and bought a used Jeep from them and all have been very positive experiences. The Sliman family still runs the store and are there every day delivering personal service. I drive past two other Jeep dealers to get out to their store because I trust these guys.
Called and scheduled recall service over a week in advance on a used truck I had bought. They told me to bring it in Monday for the repair. On Tuesday I called and asked for an update (I had informed them I needed the truck back quick to tow a trailer) and was told they might get to it Thursday. And when I questioned why I was given a Monday appointment:There are trucks that have been here since the middle of June unfortunately. But they also have greater needs. I am trying to get it in ASAP.The service rep (not a mechanic) also told me: I would be more afraid of all the front end noise than these recalls being completed …. just sayinCalled another dealer 45 minutes away and they could have me done next day. The recalls are for the front end issues.I understand that a service departments get backed up but dont schedule me and not even get to my vehicle for 4 days.Needless to say I will never return to Slimans for anything.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Slimans Chrysler/Jeep/Dodge in Amherst. As a former Ford employee, it took a lot to break my loyalty with Ford Motor Company. The combination of customer service, great deals and a family-like atmosphere at Slimans did it for me. Everyone treats me like family when I am there, whether its in the salesroom, service area or simply just to get my car washed. Tom Szudarek was amazing and took care of everything during the purchase/lease process. I would certainly recommend Slimans to anyone in need of a vehicle or service!!On top of their top notch business practices, Paul, Olivia and the rest of the Slimans crew continually support the community in any way that they can possibly do so. Amherst is a better place because of all that Slimans does for it!
Sales experience was good but service department is definitely lacking. They talked me into a package deal of oil changes but never told me they expire. I get regular oil changes but cant always fit in the service dept hours so visited Valvoline on last few. Scheduled an appointment with Slimans and the man confirmed I had a package oil change left. Went in and service staff told me it had expired. Did not discuss it with me further. I said Id just take it elsewhere and he tossed the keys on the counter and walked away. I dont expect them to beg and Im sure the expiration date was in some fine print I signed somewhere but I just bought the vehicle there a year ago and already they could not care less to keep my business or even discuss options.
My son took his Liberty in for an oil leak front of the engine thinking front crank seal. The service writer call with a quote that the front engine cover was leaking and was over a 1k to fix. I had him bring it to me. Jacked it up used about half a can of brake cleaner. Took the car on a 5min ride came back and got back under and found oil filter was loose. I put a twist on it and not another drop. Im guessing that they didnt plan on his dad being mechanic at on time. Theses flat rate mechanics will seek anything that big hours but only takes a few.
I admit I dont have the highest credit score in the world. Before I walked into Slimans though it was over 600, I told them about my situation beforehand and that I would need in-house or special financing, but that didnt stop them from hitting the major Banks and trying to get me credit through them. Long story made short, I walked in with a credit score over 600 and walked out with the credit score about 580. But what the heck they were just trying to sell a car and really didnt care what they did to my credit score to do it! I will say this however the salesman were very nice.
We had bought a Chrysler 200 a couple years back. Best service we had ever had buying a car. Salesman Tom Szudarek is an ace at what he does. He will go the extra mile to get the best for you! Hes always got a smile on his and genuinely happy to make you happy. Slymans always gives back to the community which is so admirable.
They where able to get my vehicle in quickly and repair multiple things with out a problem, Pam in customer service was great about getting back to me and letting me know the status of repairs, extremely friendly and professional.Definite recommended, will be going back!
Taylor (Service Advisor) and the technicians at Slimans are always so helpful, patient, and most importantly thorough any time I bring my car in for service.I’ve had many a disastrous car repair experience in the past at other dealerships with sloppy, “run me through the mill” work, but at Sliman’s I finally found a dealership that cares about customer satisfaction.I’m never disappointed....THANKS SLIMANS CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE !!!!Feel free to contact me anytime if you doubt anything I’ve said!
When I was in severe need of a new vehicle, I spoke with Tom Szudarek and he did everything he could possibly do to get me in a great car. Then a year later I took my sons fiancee there and Tom got her into a great Jeep. He is an absolutely great person to go to when you are looking for a new vehicle...I will always recommend Slimans in Amherst, Ohio and Tom!
I called for service and was told to bring in my car in on Tuesday and I’ll have it back on Thursday. I knew it would be a little longer so I didn’t bother. I waited a week and my car was still not started at this point. As a business you never just give out dates for a pick up not knowing how long or the situation. Definitely a frustrating learning experience.
It is sales people like Eugene McCoy who keep us coming back to Slimans in Amherst, Ohio. We have purchased our last three vehicles from Eugene. He has always gone above and beyond and continues to go above and beyond to insure that we have received and continue to receive the best customer care and service!
These people are the most unscrupulous car dealers I have ever had the misfortune to come into contact with. If they tell you the used car had been checked and certified, get it in writing. My truck was sold as having gone through a 150 point inspection, it had not. I was promised 5 free oil changes for my trouble, I got one. From the moment I purchased the vehicle it was trouble. I finally got rid of it after only driving it for 8 months. Slimans refused to accept any of the blame for selling me a lemon. I would advise you to avoid this dealership at all costs.
DO NOT GET YOUR CAR SERVICED HERE. Took my 2018 Jeep in because my brakes were pulsating and they told me ALL FOUR brake rotors were bad and they needed to replace all of them. I only have 10,000 miles on my car and it’s BRAND NEW. Rotors last WAY longer than 10,000 miles and there’s no way all four of them were bad. If you want to get fair and honest service DO NOT GO HERE.
Very easy to buy a truck there. Service department is very poor. Slowest oil change I have ever experienced in my life. I bought an extended warranty on my truck and I called to see what I had to do to get a warrantied item replaced and the service department told me that they had to diagnose the problem themselves which would be 100 bucks and then I would have to pay the 100 deductible that I have for the warranty. Usually when it is a warranty item the customer is not charged to diagnose the problem
This place is great! Chad was the best sales person I have ever dealt with over many of years buying cars. From helping me out with things for my truck, and even texting me at times to see how the truck was. Paul was outstanding to work with too. For example, I got a new tonneau cover for my truck. It was in the middle of winter with sub zero temps and lots of snow. So I called and asked him if he would let me install it in there garage out of the elements. With out hesitation he said offcourse! When doing so even some of the staff there helped out. Never have I had such great customer service from a dealer.
Absolutely outstanding service!! Had a water pump go out while in Cleveland area. Only place within 20 miles with service open on Saturday. They went above and beyond the call to get me and my child back on the road. The work was done right and with a professional attitude. I can’t say enough about how pleased I was with service. I’d give six stars if I could!! Thank you Sliman’s!!!
Tom Szudarek made purchasing a minivan easy. I had done a lot of research and was very specific about the features and color I wanted. Tom made sure I was able to get exactly what I wanted. He was super helpful and always available to answer questions. He was never a pushy salesman. I highly recommend Slimans and Tom Szudarek.
Nothing but trouble since the day I bought my car here. Ive taken it here to get fixed for things you shouldnt have to worry about with a brand new car. Three times now. And after getting an oil change at tuffy the other day, I was informed that it appears that these guys at slimans didnt even do anything the last time I took it in. The same problem is still there, they also didnt change my oil like they were supposed to for that particular fix. Also have had terrible customer service with talking about these problems.
Strongly suggest going to a different dealership. You will be scammed out of thousands of dollars just so they can get their paycheck. Ryan is the rudest and most annoying salesman i’ve ever dealt with. Has no remorse for any of his actions because at the end of the day he’s getting his check and that’s what’s most important to him.
Very satisfied with the service the salesman Gene McCoy was very prompt and helpful on helping my wife and I purchasing our vehicle and would come back to slimans for future vehicles again they have always been good to us on service and our needs thank you Gene and slimans for your services the Johnson’s
I would like to give this dealership a zero. I need to get the word out to consumers like myself that did not know that dealerships can get approval for a decent interest rate through one of their many lenders they do business with, then present you with an inflated interest rate and pocket the mark up for themselves. To who they do this to and how much they decide to inflate your interest rate is to the sole discretion of the dealership. I have a credit score of 751 and questioned them when they said the best they could get me was an interest rate of 8.65%. I trusted that was the best I could get according to them. I find out two days later from my bank that I am eligible for a 3.65% rate and that someone with my good credit standing should never have received a 8.65%. I went back to talk to the general manager and presented my findings to see if the deal could be re-worked. When I advised him of what I found out they did, he became very angry and actually yelled at me and told me to get out of his office. He continued to tell at me in the show room full of people where I broke out in tears asking why he did this to me. He said it was just business. He threatened to call the police and I calmly asked him why when I wasnt yelling, I was just simply wanting to know why they decided to pick me to raise my interest rate so far beyond what I could of qualified for. All the salesman turned their backs to me as their general manager continued to yell and embarrass me. I have never felt more humiliated and discriminated against in my life. I have filed a consumer complaint with the ohio attorney generals office and with local news stations. I just dont want anyone else to be taken advantage of. This all happened when I took my jeep in for an oil change and was told I needed over $1000 in work done in order to travel safely in my vehicle. I decided to buy a car that day because of this information they provided. Now I cannot re finance the vehicle because Im told it is valued less than what I need the loan for. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!
I hate car dealerships that dont put the prices on their cars. We had to walk around with a young man that had to look up every vehicle we were interested in on a sheet of paper her had folded up in his pocket. That is NOT my ideal way of shopping for a new car. I want to look around alone! This just made me feel awkward, rushed, and pressured. I DID NOT by my car from here.
Just got told by Matt that doing a simply tire change and wheel mount would be an all day thing. Sorry Matt that I run 2 business and work from 8 in the morning to 9 at night Monday through Friday. Didnt know a Saturday was a bad day to get a simple service done. But hey if you need a oil change- Matts your guy apparently.
Stay away. Spent 1500 on repair. One month later getting same issues. Called Bryan in Service. Stated they would look at it no charge. I told him if there is a charge Im not bringing it in. Stated there was no charge. They had the car for 5 days. Said they could not find issue. Charged me 100 then lowered it to 59. Service manager would rather have 59 bucks than keeping his word. He will lose 5 customers from this plus bad reviews!
I called to schedule service for a factory recall. They never called me when the parts came in. I called them, but then they would not schedule my appointment because I did not have the recall number or my vin number on me. I provided all of that information when I ordered the parts and being at work, I was not prepared to find all of that information again. The woman in service was very rude. I told her to forget it- I will go somewhere else. So silly. I drive a 2010 jeep wrangler and cant wait to get a new rubicon! Guess where I wont be getting it from?
Everyone here is very polite and friendly. However Eugene McCoy goes far beyond that and connects with his customers and makes everything easy and comfortable. He’s able to answer every question and is willing to help in any way he can. He’s very honest and the greatest person there :)
SENIOR CITIZEN TREATED AWFUL , I came in for an oil change package for 4 oil changes for $89 and to have my fuses looked at on my car because the door locks were acting funny and a tire rotation that comes with the package deal because i think i have a bad belt in my front tire. They said OK. They offered a $100 diagnostic test which i turned down and said I was prepared to pay around $150 but thats all. They decided I got a one time oil change for $34 and no tire rotation, no package deal and no checking on my fuses for my door locks and wrote on my bill She said she had no money!! Meagan the clerk said Take the money you saved and go fix something on your ca r!!!!! This was said in front of people in the waiting room and I had to leave shaking and nothing done on my car I came to have done but the oil change. Thank you for treating me like I was nothing and I will make sure when I buy a new car and my sister buys a new car it wont be from Slimans. I am so upset that my service was so unreal and awful I cant stop talking about it. I called your office and got no response but a call back to backed his place . the caravan is a 2005 and needs work but runs great, but tell Meagan if she continues to treat people so badly she probably will need a new job. Lenny oehlke at Sliman’s made my husband and I feel at ease when we went to trade in my older model Jeep. He jumped through hoops to get us everything we asked for, and really came through for us. I drove away in my brand new red Jeep with a smile on my face. Thank you Lenny !!!!!
My experience at slimans was not good at all they make false promises to customers they will offer and promise you everything just to get you to buy the cars off them and once you do its screw you they dont honor their promises and what they say. My brother was offered a free service upon buying his truck. They called and txt daily to bring his truck up there for his first service. He brings his truck up there for the sevice. Upon arriving my brother asked the service tech what does the full service consist of. He told an oil change and thts it after they promised him a 10point inspection and a full service for free. Come to find out the service only covers regular oil not synthetic and doesnt include the tire rotation everyone knows tht when you do an oil change most places rotate the tires for free with the oil change. Come to findout they were gonna charge him 20 for the rotation and 25 for the difference of the synthetic oil. This no way to conduct business and treat customers that have spent a nice amount of money with them. I dont recommend anyone there but if you do make sure you get everything written in paper that way no-one else has this problem. This is absurd they wont get anymore of my business again.
Our family has been buying and servicing cars here for years and have always had exceptional prompt service and support. My most recent purchase that Eugene our salesman helped me with was a Jeep Renegade 75th Anniversary Edition. This car replaced my Dodge RT Nitro that I absolutely loved. Eugene also helped me synch my phone to the car which I appreciated.
I have had work done at various locations all over the country. The service writer is the first contact I usually have with a dealership. I have been treated no less than wonderful by Taylor Zehnder. She has went above and beyond the call of duty. Since Sliman’s Dodge has decided to let Taylor go I will be taking my business elsewhere. Sounds like Sliman’s cut their nose off to spite their face.
Service nightmare! Do not take your vehicle here for service unless you want rude, untimely and inadequate service. After a lengthy dispute with their terrible service mananger I finally went straight to the top to the owner himself which surprisingly was hard and painful to even speak with anyone at all. He promised to look into the matter and call me back. No response. Zero. I have tried numerous times to contact him and thank God I have written proof (text, email, etc) because I am sure they would LIE and say otherwise. I have been begging for a response so this is my last straw. They have an insurance check that was written to two parties, myself and them. I did not initially sign it because there is a dispute over their shoddy workmanship. At this point I don’t even care to fight with them because I don’t even trust them to do it right and I don’t trust them that they would not sabatoge my vehicle. To the point, I’ve asked them to send me the check so that I may sign it and get this nightmare over with and they will not send it to me, nor will they contact me. The most awful customer service I’ve ever had from a dealer. I hope they will publicly answer me here as I am at my wits end with these people.
I concur with Steve Mason. My $$$$ follows the person who was providing the service. No loyalty between a business and its employees (especially when they went above and beyond in their duties on a regular basis) equals no loyalty from me. Only in the car business is change necessary when nothings wrong. Our two Jeeps will be serviced elsewhere.

2021-12-08I worked with Mike on trading in my Cherokee for a Grand Cherokee. He was very upfront, communicated every detail through the entire process and was the friendliest salesman I’ve ever worked with when buying a car. Even after the sale, he’s been available to answer questions happily and has been very helpful. His level of personal relationship when buying a car exceeded my expectations so much that we decided it was also time to trade my husbands truck for a new Gladiator. Mike has been outstanding and I’d definitely work with him again!

2021-09-21Mike was great, worked hard to get us exactly what we wanted. Ended up ordering a Gladiator Mojave and he was awesome from test drive to pickup. He kept us informed of the process and couldn’t have been more friendly and eager to help. Not your typical salesman, felt like he cared about what we wanted, not what he needed to sell. Thanks Mike.

2022-05-17I have never had a experience at a dealership that I had a Sliman’s. My salesman Mike “Coach” Chermonitz was great from the first phone call until I took possession of the vehicle. The dealership was also great and accommodating. And since I was an out of town guest to their dealership they delivered vehicle to me couple of days after the sale, due to the rear glass was broken and a low tire pressure was on. Which they fixed. I can’t speak highly enough about this dealership and the people I encountered there. BUT, the vehicle I purchased had/ has some major issues. I noticed the day after it was delivered to me a oil slick under the vehicle and since I signed a “as is” warranty, their is no way to go back to them and I’m roughly 1-1/2 hours from them. After inspection, oil cooler assembly was leaking everywhere and it shows it was leaking for long time. The Oil cooler assembly part was beat up and whoever put this part in didn’t seat it right and the hose clamp for the antifreeze line in the back of the oil cooler was stripped and leaking, plus it wasn’t the right clamp for the part. I feel this should of been caught from the very beginning because it would’ve been leaking whoever turned the vehicle in. The other issue that is being looked at is the rear main seal on the transmission. I will have an answer on that issue in the next day or so, if I need to drop the transmission or not to repair that after seeing fluid around that area. But I’m not sue if it’s from the oil cooler assembly dripping down from the top of the engine. I’m double checking everything at this point. So I’m at a cross roads at the moment. I was hoping the salesman was going to reach out to me after a week to see how things were going (I had dealerships do this in the past). But after spending 30k for a vehicle and dealing with these 2 issues that should’ve been caught from the beginning when the dealership took possession of this vehicle in my opinion and it’s only been 2 weeks since I bought the vehicle. Regardless on my review. I still give Mike “Coach” and the staffed that helped during the process 10/10. They are totally different then other dealerships. They were class acts. In my opinion the ball was dropped when they did there inspection when putting this vehicle up for sale. I like the vehicle I purchased. It was what I was looking for and everything. But as of right now, very low 4/5 review!
