Great group of lawyers. I used them when I was involved in a car accident they worked hard to settle my case kept me informed of everything that was going on. In my dealing with mr Silas Pisani was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. Totally unprofessional and extremely rude. So much that I had to withdraw his counsel and seek other. Sean Buchanan is by far one of the worst attorneys weve ever dealt with. He purposefully withheld evidence and acknowledged doing so, because he did not think his client was innocent of the crime they were being accused of. His client is now serving a sentence for something they didnt do, because Mr. Buchanan refused to bring in witnesses, document evidence, and present evidence to the court. We would not recommend Mr. Buchanan to anyone. Weve spoken to people who have encountered him and they have disclosed to us that he is infamous for being a horrible criminal defense attorney.

I contacted them for a dog bite, and they were very quick to take my information. Then after they realized it wasnt going to be a big case where they would make a ton of money they stopped contacting me, and responding to my emails and texts. After a month or so someone finally contacted me and told me that I was a little important (in so many words) and that my case wasnt that promising and he forgot to send out the letter to the owner of the dog. The most unprofessional company Ive ever dealt with in 38 years. Honestly the 13-year-old boy who cuts my lawn for $20 is more professional than this law firm heed this warning. If there was a way to post pictures on here I could prove it. I have email and texts showing different sir. I respectfully disagree. I dont post my name publicly, and just because you cant find my name does not take away from my credibility.

Rob Horton from Slater and Zurz really helped me out when I was in a very serious accident. I received numerous letters in the mail from attorneys around the area that wanted to represent me. What I loved about this company was that I was the one that had came to them based on their excellent ratings. They are not the law firm that you see on commercials or harass you through the mail to prey on the fact that have just had a traumatic experience. I highly recommend Silas Pisani if you are going through any type of divorce situation. I hired an attorney to handle my case before Silas and it was a complete nightmare. Not only were they draining me financially and not doing a good job, but they also caused me to have to go through an entire divorce process all over again. Silas saved me and my children and turned everything around for us. He helped the court see all of the facts and fought hard for us. We came out very favorable in this situation thanks to him knowing exactly how to handle our case. He is very responsive and easy to get ahold of, even at night and on weekends, when things usually happen regarding custody issues, whereas my other attorney’s office did not want to be bothered outside of normal business hours. Going through a divorce after 22 years of marriage is not a pleasant experience. I was referred to Rick Zurz by another lawyer in Akron and he was fantastic. I contacted them about a case and after looking at the files they sent a letter stating they refused to help. Which is fine but if you’re actually going to blame the family, you could at least be professional enough to contact them to get their side of the events leading up to it. Did they do that? NO. To me that’s very hurtful, disrespectful and absolutely unprofessional. That shows they are only interested in the easy win cases.

I used Silas as my lawyer during a custody battle and he told me that we had a strong case. I feel that he didnt not do what I needed done. I wanted more time with my daughter and I didnt get anywhere and was a waste of a couple thousand dollars. The case was over with and I had some very important questions about my case so I tried his office number and cell phone numerous time 2 to 3 weeks to get ahold of him and he will not return any phone calls or text what kind of lawyer represents someone gets paid for the job that didnt get done and now doesnt return calls or texts I feel like others should know that this is how this lawyer is its not like I didnt pay you in full if I didnt I would understand but this is ridiculous I would of used a different lawyer

I had the best experience with Slater and Zurz. I was in an automobile accident in 2013. I contacted the firm that same day and Mr. Slater was more concerned about my health than anything else. I found this surprising since some attorneys are ambulance chasers. Every time I ever met with Mr. slater and his staff they were so nice and personable. Mr. Slater makes you feel like your a family member, and he always asked how I was doing and I could feel his genuine concern for me. I approached Mr. Buchanan last year, after having known him from previous endeavors years back, about a lawsuit that had been filed against my significant other and I. John Lynett was the worst experience Ive ever encountered! Unfortunately after having a horrible outcome with him in a prior case I still went back a second time as the experience with the chiropractor he recommended was pleasant. I gave him the benefit of the doubt hoping things would be better- No! Either this old man is washed up and unskilled at settlements or hes a crook; or both. He works extremely slow and I often felt that I needed an attorney for my attorney. I would not recommend him to anyone!

So I was referred to Slater and Zurz and Mr. Luna was very helpful and within a few minute of talking with him Mr. Slater himself had called me and gave me suggested on what to do never once did they ask me to sign papers or hire them to represent me they both where more worried about my welfare. So I took care of my health and went to a few specialist and had a MRI done come to find out I was stage 3 moving into stage 4 kidney cancer I had a 5cm growth on and eating through my kidney my Dr in 30yrs of practice never seen something so bad in alive patient with no symptoms. His exact words where you would not be here next June if we did not find this on your MRI. So I just want people to know what a GREAT THOUGHTFUL FIRM THEY ARE!! Mr Slater and Mr Luna my wife and I thank you for extending our life together!!

It isnt often that you are able to speak directly to your attorney but I had the privilege of speaking to him many times. I found them after conducting a google search. I went on their website filled out their form describing why I was searching for legal assistance. Initially they were quick infact a Mr. Zurz called me personally to hear my story and then sell their amazing capabilities and the special attorney he was going to assign to me if I decided to choose their firm. I decided to at least speak with his attorney, Sean Buchanon (claiming to be the only real litigator at the firm) at Slater & Zurz he indicated I had a case in which he could litigate and win. His target number was $100k. Well after several years the case went to trial. The day of the trial, I walked into the courtroom only to realize this was the first time I was going to meet my attorney - never dawned on me I do not even know what he looks like. Then I realized we never once strategized prior to this day. He did not discuss what questions he was going to ask, how should handle questions from the defense, he never asked for income verification nothing, he never discussed with the court how painful it was having over 75 stiches in my face, never showed a single bill to the court. It was a simple case that was easily won but because WE did not demonstrate to the court any pain and suffering or out of pocket expenses the jury quickly rendered a verdict in our favor but without any idea on how much they determined I should receive $5,000.00 not the $100,000 they thought I would get. I then expressed my disappointment with them and they decided to pull out of the case and not even attempt to collect the $5,000.Thank you Slater & Zurz. I am wondering if there is a malpractice suit here?

Brandon at Slater & Zurz handled the fallout from a car accident my son and I were in. We were struck on a wintery road and our car was totaled. There were medical bills, replacing the car - lots of complicated stuff that would have been like taking on a part-time job to figure out. Once Brandon was on the case the hospitals quit trying to charge me for things the insurance said they would pay and the insurance company had to deal straight with us. Bit by my sister-in-laws rescue dog. Deep ankle wound required a couple of surgeries and a skin graft. Attorney, Brandon Dean, navigated a difficult case. My wife and I were on our 2nd anniversary trip and our daughter was at her grandparents home over the 4th of July weekend. He listened very carefully and with empathy to what had happened to me. Jim and his partner took a lot of time and both did an extensive analysis of my case and were very honest and upfront with their advice on how to proceed. I couldnt have had a better experience with Jim Slater as he is a very caring, sincere and great lawyer. 2022-04-04My experience with attorney Zurz was truly the best. My fiancé and I were introduced to Attorney Zurz through attorney Gilbert shortly after the passing of our daughter. Attorney Zurz took the initiative to make sure we were comfortable and understanding of all legal actions, precautions and the different play outs we could encounter over the next few weeks trying to accomplish what we needed. 2022-01-11I came to Jeff after the lawyer I originally hired pretty much took my money and didnt really do anything. And Jeff and his staff took over immediately they answered all my questions got to work right away. It was a very good feeling knowing he had my back and let me know exactly what was going on and when. Even when I didnt understand what was happening he made it a Point to call me and talk to me exactly what the plan was and what everything meant and made understand what was happening. 2022-06-10Used this firm for my boyfriends motorcycle accident & they was the best lawyers I have ever worked with. Kept me informed during the whole process asked me for my opinion & if I didnt want to do what they suggested we do they listened to me & took my stance on the situation. You want treated like family & shown care & not treated as a dollar sign not blown off or ignored then this is the firm you should contact cause they dont treat you like that at all. I never felt as if I was annoying them even at times I had called several times in a single day. If they couldnt get back to me that day they would contact me first thing the following day. Highly recommend these guys.

She could have easily said no, we cannot help and hung up...but she cared enough to point me in the right direction. Wonderful customer service.
