Excellent Pizza and the customer service rocks. Every time we order they are never shy about the toppings. The pizza box literally feels like it weighs 10 lbs so you definitely get excellent value here not to mention the pizza is honestly one of the best in the area. This used to be the old Marcy Diner if you are from around here. You should most definitely give SILOHS a shot and support our local businesses. They have never disappointed.
The food was good. I had the Pulled Pork with Lettuce Bun and Natural Cut Fries. My sister had a Mushroom Burger and Tater Tots. Two fountain drinks and two cones came to under 30 dollars. We would eat there again. I seen a sign for All You Can Eat Wings On Thursdays.
This is an edit of my original review. Still one of mine and my husbands favorite stops! They seem to know us when we come in we always come on a motorcycle and eat outside and get the same thing every time the ladies who work inside are so kind and we like to tip them especially since they bring our food to us but theres no way to tip on credit card. Please make It so these ladies and gentlemen can get credit tips. Even if your machine doesnt allow it set up a venmo just for tips for your servers.Stopped here for some wings from their Wing special on Wednesday and a pizza. These were some of the best wings weve ever had. Lots of sauces to choose from. The pizza was good to. Outside seating. Definitely going to be our new Wednesday stop when out riding. Also the girls who took our order and brought it to us were very friendly. The inside was nicely decorated and very clean.
Sunday evening middle schoolers cooking my food, eating, picking on plates & kicking dropped food under surfaces instead of picking it up. Odd to watch, honestly. I stopped in after a long ride, hungry & the nostalgia stopped me. I cant say for any other day, but today was definitely off.
So this was recently sold and now has new owners! Its called SilOHs (as in a farm siloh). The inside has been rearranged and allows for more seating which is great! They have Velvet ice cream and other things like chips etc like before and are in the very beginning stages of getting their menus finalized. They serve breakfast all day which I love! Their menu has expanded greatly since re-opening to include all farm named hearty burgers, buffalo wings, pizza and more!! Get on their fb page for fun contests, menu input, announcements and bonus gift card deals!! You can also order online, get a time estimate for puck-up, text when you arrive and have your hot food brought out to your car?! You cant beat that!!These guys have engaged in non-stop continuous updates all the way around! Be SURE to take a look at their gorgeous outdoor murals depicting the former Historic Marcy Store & Diner at this site!!! Crazy good!!! Stop and take a selfie of the whole fam!! Located wonderfully close to the entrance of Slate Run Metro Park! Corner of Rt. 674 and Alspaugh Rd across from the church.
Not living very far from Silohs was great, and the first pizza we ordered was really good. The second pizza we ordered was great, but the order and after sales phone call was a big turnoff, and we doubt well be returning.NOTE: The ordering system is different now. The tip is included automatically. The pizza we ordered was the Extreme Supreme Pizza. We were charged the maximum price. Questions asked? Cut, Crust, Sauce and Extreme Meat.We have all bought this type of pizza before which looks like the picture as shown in their add, so you would expect all the toppings. (Vegetables)When we got the pizza, there was only a few vegetables. When my wife called and questioned this, the defensive gloves went on right away. If you want to run a business, keep in mind youre going to have to deal with the public and the common person cant read your mind. If you cannot articulate yourself to a customer without getting emotional maybe you should find another line of work.
Love this diner. I live down the road and frequent this great place. Everyone is always very kind and service is quick. Fries are great. Pizza is loaded with toppings. I usually get whatever the special is for the day and Im always happy with how it comes out. I can also get my beer and bread while Im here 😁
First impression of the place took me back to a quaint country diner. Portion sizes were up perfect and the burgers so flavorful. Old school feel made the comfort food all the better. Prices fair :) lovely jewel of a place for canal Winchester. Definitely worth a visit
Instant FALL IN LOVE! YOU HAD ME AT FIRST BITE ! The very best thing that has gone into this building. Great food, but, more important, GREAT FOLKS who run Silohs! Neal is very personable. We sat on the patio. Located in raw countryside. Peaceful and scenic. Come on down.
Excellent eats tonight. We had the bologna sandwich and the ham and cheese sandwich with side orders of home cut fries and onion rings with two fountain drinks all for $21..Couldnt have been any better. Nice visit and chat with the owner. Another reason to support our local businesses...
Good service and good food - not a mask in sight though. If youre still concerned about COVID this may not be the time to stop by. Didnt see any customers or employees masked up. We sat as far away from everyone as we could. The pizza was just so-so (overall lacking in flavor, probably could have used more time in the oven) but the burgers my family got were a huge hit. The mac and cheese was made of different kinds of noodles but it looked like it wasnt very fresh. Ice cream got the thumbs up from the whole family.Well get food here again, but probably get it to-go until the pandemic has subsided.
Good food at good prices but sadly I will not be back after they had me waiting over 45 minutes in their parking lot for my order. When I placed my order online it gave me a half hour estimate, they quickly called me to let me know that it would actually be an hour. No big deal and I really appreciated the call. Knowing that they were running behind I showed up 5 minutes later than they asked and still waited an extra 45 minutes. They kept telling me that they got backed up from dine in customers but I had already paid and placed my order over an hour ago at this point? If I already paid why do dine in customers get preferential treatment over take out? As annoying as this all was I probably would have given them another chance but the pizza they brought out to me after waiting 45 minutes in their parking lot had obviously been sitting for some time. All that time wasted just for a stale pizza that had been dried out from them trying to keep it warm while I waited all that time. To be fair, my 12 wings and Fries were fresh though. Good food (when it hasnt been sitting for an hour) and good prices but this was such a awful experience that it burned me from ever coming back. Ive only been here 5 times and had to wait for my food 3/5 times which I truly dont mind but when it leads to situations like the one I described thats just too much.
Ordered for the first time last night after hearing great things about this place. I ordered 14 wings and a pickle fry and my mom ordered a burger and fries. The pickle fries were soggy so i popped them in my air fryer when i got home and they were delicious. Cannot say the same for the wings. I almost puked. They were disgusting. They tasted like propane or something just awful. I didnt even finish one wing so a whole order of 14 wings wasted. The burger and fries were okay. Just the wings. Service was very friendly and quick.
Went March 9, 2021. We told the waitress it was our 1st time and she just said OK, was not friendly. She seemed to be in a hurry and was tapping her fingernails on the counter. We placed our order which the food was served quickly and it was good except the fries were soggy. She never came back to the table to check on us. I had to go behind the counter and get a bag for our leftovers. And they want you to clean the table but theres no tray to do so. We had to lay the chicken bones on the table and needed more napkins. Never going back.
I love to support local small business so I thought we would give this new place a try. We ordered the white chicken bacon onion pizza, wings, and pulled pork. We absolutely loved everything! I cant wait to try some of the other pizzas. I will be spreading the word about this place so more people can get out there and enjoy it too. Great Job!
First time ordering since the new owner. Called in my order, and picked up on time. The servers were friendly. The food was great, as with portion sizes.....will definitely be ordering again. Glad to see this place pulling in the business. Long overdue for this little restaurant.
Great food, service, staff and menu!! Weve eaten there twice and have loved everything. We had a party of 7 last night ate outside. The inside is being remodeled and will be open August. Everyone was very pleased with all their food.. the lettuce, tomatoes, onions on sandwiches are so fresh. 🥗The pizza is totally amazing...crust is the best and they will make it anyway you want🍕 well, then theres the homemade deserts... cant say enough about those...you just have to try em😊
Been coming here for years back when it was the historic Marcys Diner. Prior to this ownership . And several times post Marcys pre covid. Covid has changed this place dramatically. Long gone is the local dive where you could get a great cheap breakfast and discuss world events. (They dont open for breakfast now)Lets start with the good. The food here is still pretty good. Weve ordered carry out multiple times and been happy. And. Thats where it endsLast night we dined in for the first time in over a year.. And to be honest, we wont do that again. Covid restrictions are over but you wouldnt know that here. Service model has changed drastically and nowhere do they tell you that. No waitresses. You order at the counter. And literally once the food comes youre on your own. Theyve turned Marcys into basically a fast food restaurant. We were a party of 8. Several folks drove up from Lancaster to meet us here. Owner was there. Not one time did he or anyone else ask us how things were or if we needed anything. You are literally on your own here.So disappointing. You have 8 people dining here and literally cared less. I have seen this owner multiple times and he never interacts with us. Its very weird to me that hes in food service and appears so unfriendly. They simply no longer care about those dinning in. Get your own drinks. Grab your own plastic ware. Clean your own table. Oh, and be prepared for no air conditioning and the constant beeping of the drive thru. Thats their business model now. Many in our party were disappointed and wont be back. Ill stick to the occasional carryout and hope they return to an actual restaurant some day soon. If you want a McDonalds like experience youll love it. For those of you looking for a nice, quiet, comfortable place to eat out, you might want to go elsewhere.Ps. Parking extremely limited now due to their drive thru
Placed a to-go order on their website. Arrived at the restaurant 40 minutes later when they said the food would be ready and was told it would be another 20 minutes. No big deal. They are busy and I understood. After waiting for 20 minutes, two separate parties come in, place their orders and have a seat at their table. At this point it has been an hour since I ordered my food.20 minutes later I still don’t have my food but the two parties have now received their food after only waiting for 20 minutes. My food is finally ready an hour and 25 minutes after ordering. 45 minutes after I was told it would be ready.I don’t understand how two separate tables received their food before me after only waiting 20 minutes when I ordered my food an hour before them.Talked to the manager but could not get an explanation that made any sense to me.Won’t be back!
Ordered 2 big barn salads, was ordering off the posted menu, what should have came to 17 dollars 7.99 a piece .99 bacon on one..ended up totaling 24.90. When asked how did it come to that was told there was some extra charges for items..8 dollars extra for toppings which were onions ,red peppers, black olives ,all .59 each pepperoni and bacon now 1.99 each..literally could have gotten another whole salad for that. Biggest thing, would have never added the toppings if I knew they were going to be all upcharged. Either way was just a little stunned over the price of a salad..literally counted the pepperoni..10 on the whole salad..need to update the menu with the correct pricing and possibly the qty you get for those prices..will try them again but definitely way to pricey for salad..
Stopped in here, the store is under new ownership. Menu consists of burgers tacos Pizza some standard. I didnt eat but it did smell very good, and I would definitely like to go back and give it a shot. The beer caves of decent size, numerous convenience products, and some homemade goods as well. Theyve been open for about the last seven weeks, and say business has been steady. Get out there and see them, support your local business!
Well to tell the truth, we have rode (we ride a Harley) by this place so many times going up and down 674, but had never stopped. So we were out for a Sunday afternoon ride and we decided to stop in for a pizza, but come to find out, they serve a large menu of items. So we scanned the menu and decided on burgers. Now, I do consider my self as a foodie, these are good burgers, an order of fries is more then one person needs and hand cut and so so good, try them with mayo to dip them in,, yum.. So now it is one of our favorite places to stop in. They also send me coupons in my email and we do use them. They also have Ice Cream for your sweet tooth. So if you are out and about and looking for something to fill up with, givem a try. This is just my 2 cent opinion.
Stopped in at SilOHs for dinner. Was greeted as soon as we walked in. We decided on the burgers. They were made to order and they were delicious. This is the first time we have been in since the new owners took over. They have done some remodeling inside and it looks great. Decided to get a slice of the homemade carrot cake on the way out to take home. It was delicious. Will be stopping back in the future for sure. Thanks for the delicious meal and the great service.
Rating this a 2, but they have time and room to improve. Went here based on reviews, and the menu posted online. Apparently the reviews were for the previous owners. Current owners have only had the place for about a month, and are still in the discovery stage. The food was mediocre, at best, and the menu was very limited. Everything is fried. No salad selections. The french fries looked like they could have been amazing, but they were super greasy, and limp. Hopefully they learn, and grow into the 4.2 stars that the previous owners gifted them with.
My pizza was very over cooked to the point I couldnt eat it. My fries had so much salt on them I couldnt eat those either. The girl that took my order wasnt pleasant at all. She was in a big hurry. No one working seemed to care we were even in the restaurant. Ive been here several times over the years and just seems to be going down hill.
Went Friday night March 5th around 7 pm, the young teen Jillian at the front seemed very disengaged with the jib of greeting and helping customers. I inquired about the French dressing , which is actually a common dressing to ask about when dining out , she said I dont know followed by rolling her eyes when I asked what kind it was . My friends mother received the same response when she asked about Italian dressing. So I asked about getting a different one just in case I didnt like it ( which the dressing tasted terrible like oily) , she said it would be 99 cents for a dressing to go with the large barn salad . Speaking of sald it was huge and only comes with one dressing like the little barn salad, but dressing cup is the same size ( one would think the big would have 2 ) .Service is not very speedy it took 55 minutes for medium pizza with green peppers and mushrooms. The restaurant wasnt busy inside at all . They serve pizza sauce cold if you want extra for pizza and dont have a microwave to heat it . It is in an old barn like building where every time someone walks on floor it feels like it will give way at any moment . Thats an insurance claim waiting to happen . When it was time to leave I was wondering if they were going to charge for the box togo ( pizza did not taste good reheated or cold at all. ) I definitely would not recommend this place at all, there are definitely much better and friendlier options around town in canal winchester.
Food is good, however while waiting for my order to be ready, I noticed a window open in the kitchen area.In my half hour wait for my to-go order, I did NOT see ANYONE wearing a mask while they prepared food. They did however have the person bringing food to the car wear a mask. Appearances? With COVID being as bad as it is right now, I hoped Silohs would care a little more about their customers.
Visited this establishment regularly prior to its reincarnation as the Shiloh. The restaurant is abit out of the way for me, but I enjoyed the scenic ride there as well as the quaint bucolic feel to it with the hardwood floors. Reminded me of an old time General store. The food was tasty and plentiful in portion as well as reasonable in cost. The current establishment appears to be distancing themselves from the former. Reminds me of the quirky nouveau cuisine restaurants aligning the Short North. Kind of out of place in the countryside. Food was decent. Service polite. The only thing off putting was that they serve homemade cookies and spices which the owner unashamedly hawked his wares which I felt were expensive. i believe the cookies cost close to $ 3 a piece and about par with store bought Pepperidge Farm. Sadly, Im not sure Ill be back. Some of the magic possessed by the former establishment was lost in transit.
Personally I didnt have the greatest experience here. The waitress didnt seem to understand our order at all even though it was simple, 2 burgers and 2 salads and mozzarella sticks. They werent busy when we went and the food took a long time, we didnt even get our mozzarella sticks. The food tasted alright though. Probably wont go back, not worth the price.
We went in for a pizza sale they had going on. I think buy one get one for $5, something cheap like that. Weve never had their pizza, so we wanted to try it out.We were the only ones there so the waitress was pretty quick to our table. When I asked her about the sale, she said she never heard of it but if i can show her where i heard that, she would see if she could honor it. I showed her the Facebook post and she said Must be true then so we ordered two pizzas. We also ordered 10 wings. When we asked what sauces they offered. She said she wasnt sure and just stood there. We had to suggest to her what they might have. She then said I think hot, bbq, and ranch well we still ordered. However we only got 8 wings when they came out. For being smaller than BWW, they werent bad. But I wouldnt have paid over $1 for each if I knew we would be shorted two.About the pizza. Mine was just pep & cheese. My husbands had at least 3 toppings. Mine was black on the bottom and tasted horrible. If the pizzas were good in general it would have been a great deal. Since even the medium you could feed 3 people. However we took them home and tried to doctor them up. Ended up throwing away the rest of mine.Weve only been there twice since the new owners and each time it hasnt been the best experience. I hope things turn around soon. You guys are close to us and we used to enjoy going there.
I gave this place 3 stars several weeks ago as things were slow and not great. They just went under new management.I promised to come back and give it another shot.I am pleased. Nice people, much better food and service. For a little diner experience, it is nice.Goid job to all those working here.
2019-06-01: Marcys Diner - Small country store, restaurant; great atmosphere, people, service; be patient & expect to wait a bit with maybe one cook on the grill; great food, burgers, omelettes, fried bologna, homemade chili, etc.; pizza toppings good but crust needs work; nice Velvet ice cream selection & homemade pies; beer menu; can buy bottled wine; clean environment2020-03-17: SilOHs - new ownership, formerly Marcys Diner; have not been here under new ownership, but will when in the area.
Ok look please do not listen to the negative reviews I grew up in a small country town I travel to check out these small town diners. When we first walked we were waited on right away I had my son with me they made him feel welcome that’s important to me he got to Color other customers that I assume were regulars had conversations with him all and all great friendly environment my son and I had the breakfast it was amazing and a lot of food for the price we couldn’t even finish it all I will be back a lot more we loved I can’t say enough about this diner over all expierence A+.
Highest priced diner food on earth. 2 burgers and fries, and two pancakes was $25. A lot of flies. It took 15 minutes to get a menu, and it was not busy. It was like I did not even have a waitress. People in the kitchen was wiping their hands on their jeans, and opening customers beer bottles with the inside of their shirt.

2022-01-15Really delicious pizza and sides! From the sauces to the food, it was all amazing. Their prices cant be beat either. If feeding a large group, this is our new go-to!

2022-07-03? There is A/C, but it was hot inside so we ate outside. My food was pretty good, wife ordered baked chicken in salad, they were out of and she ordered a strawberry milkshake, out of strawberry. Her salad took a very long time and the veggies were fresh. My hamburger was good, as were the fries. The intersection they are on has to be one of the most dangerous in the county. I would like to go back to try their pizza.

2022-05-01Had a relatively large group (5 adults, 4 kids) and ordered a variety of items. Pulled pork is quite good with a well rounded variety of sauces available. Kids devoured the wings and pizza with no hesitation. Wrapped up the meal with reportedly exceptional ice cream, carrot cake, and an apple crumble.Nice variety available in a smaller cozy setting. I’ll come back if I’m in the area again!Customer service was also very well handled and they’ve went out of their way to set up a drive through that looked pretty busy while we were there!

2021-06-20My wife and I took a ride out to Marcy and stopped at Silos for a bite. I had the ScreamyReaper Cheese burger which was an awesome burger. It does have some heat but not as hot as you would think. I love things HOT though. This would be pushing the hot level if your not used to hot items. My wife had the Slop Bucket full of goodness. The wings were a little on the small side. Good flavor. We were informed of many plans for the location to be announced. Also a Bike night every Thursday.

2021-11-14This is a neat little restaurant, diner, pizza shop all rolled into one. Its kind of in the middle of nowhere if youre not from the area.It has a nostalgic feel and look to it. There are many things around the inside from the World War 2 era.

2021-07-03Small little sandwich and pizza place. Keep reading it is more than you think. They have fresh fair fries and malt vinegar for them. Their cost for order of fries is 99 cents. The amount of fries you get is a little more than a large order from McDonalds. Wonderful pulled pork with multiple options of sauce. Also home made pies and cakes, the owners mother-in-law makes them. We have eaten here a few times, always good. Stopped there many more for a piece of pie and cake...drool. We always say we will wait til we get home and that usually doesnt happen. We go to the park. The Slate Run metro park is very close by. We usually eat and then go to the park for a nice stroll at the pond.

2022-04-16Pizza was good. Boneless wings were super small chicken ball looking things. Definitely not worth the money. The gentleman there was very friendly and provided good service.
