Positive: Location Negative: Room needs a good cleaning. No mattress pad on bed. The fridge on the floor. The hotel is really showing its age. They need to put in bigger refrigerator not one you have to get on the floor to us. Security was lacking. To many outside doors left unlocke
Im giving a shout out to Adam specifically I attempted to make a reservation for my wedding, me being the bride and it was SOLD OUT!!! 😱 I was devastated, I asked if I could be a priority shall there be a cancelation, couldnt guarantee me that but as we were on the phone he diligently kept refreshing and boom cancelation and he got me in Adam ur the real mvp
The room is very nice and the view amazing but we were very disappointed to find that the pool and restaurant are closed on Sunday and Monday. I wish they would tell you those things upfront at the hotel website. I hadn’t thought to check Google maps for weird hours. We only came for those reasons on a Sunday night and so cannot enjoy either.
5 Stars to this hotels and staff! Starting with the check-in meeting Anna and Melissa to checking out, everything was perfect. Because I am a Gold Member, i asked for an upgrade and Anna found one even though they were quite busy. Our room was not quite ready as we were a little early. I told Anna we were going to lunch in the hotel restaurant. She said she would come us know when the room was ready. In the restaurant, Summer helped my wife make the best selection for lunch and then made the best Martini ever! Anna showed up to tell us the room was ready and off we went. The room was great. It had a down stairs living room, a balcony overlooking the river, and a jacuzzi! My wife felt like royalty. Great job the whole way around. The hotel looked great. The atrium is impressive as was our room, the restaurant, and other areas, too. The heated pool was actually heated. Great job everyone.
This had to be the nastiest hotel room my husband and I has stayed in! The ceiling was falling with water damage, cigarette burns on the night stand, tub/shower was so disgusting and the heating vents was full of hair, dirt, and grime I doubt the fire alarms work because they were also nasty!! They should be a MOTEL! charging motel prices not a 5 star hotel because its definitely an one star hotel! If I were you I would keep driving until I find an hotel thats my home away from home.
Employees are very nice and try to help as much as possible for the most part. The hotel itself is definitely a need of a good refresh job. But if you have enough unlimited mimosas at the Sunday brunch,.. none of it matters anyway. Lol especially if you enjoy nature and the beautiful water and most of the scenery outside... (Just dont look too close at the things inside on the way to the outside and youll be fine.) All in all a nice place to stay as long as you get a good rate and splurge a little on yourself to enjoy the Sunday brunch... (Did I mention that you can get unlimited mimosas and the beautiful water-view) 🤭😂
The exquisite design of the Sheratons physical layout nestles this grand hotel directly into the side of a roaring creek. The two story room was the size of a small apartment, and the bottom level, a kitchen and living room area with a pullout bed, featured a double balcony overlooking the bank of the watercourse. The upper floor featured a King suite with leather furniture, a jacuzzi and double bathroom. The cleaning was impeccable and the on site restaurants were excellent. Cant wait to return!
The hotel is a nice location the views of the water are beautiful and watching the kayakers is amazing. The food in the restaurants are expensive and not good at all. Better off going to town to the many restaurants near by. The nicest worker was the young valet guy. He was the friendliest worker at the hotel. The room was huge and the bed was comfortable, it does however need to be redone, the shower was horrible and in need of repair. The pool was closed the days we were there as was the gym. So they shouldn’t advertise they have them. If I paid the going rate and not the block rate I would have been disgusted.
We had an amazing reception in the Cuyahoga Room. Our Maître d’ Ally was awesome and did a fabulous job taking care of our evening! She was extremely attentive and always checking in to make sure we didn’t need anything. We also really enjoyed working with Cathy on the front end of planning our event. She was very responsive to our questions and concerns and helped to make sure our night was planned out exactly how we wanted.
The town is a hidden gem! There were plenty of stores and restaurants. The town was very clean. Highly recommended. The hotel seems to be the anchor of the town and everything mentioned above is in walking distance. The hotel is clean and our room was roomy and also well kept. Check-in was smooth, the front desk person didnt ask if wanted points or a market item nor did she acknowledge my Marriott status.Overall, a very good place to stay. If I have to return to the area, Id stay at this hotel, recommended!
When we arrived the staff was knowledgeable and let us know all that was taking place in the area. The room was nice and clean. The hotel was clean for the most part. The hot tub was down for repairs. The lower deck were the falls are is in need of repair. However over all our stay was great. I did use points to stay and they still charged me for a 135.00 cleaning fee, they did not clean the room the entire time of our stay which I’m assuming was due to Covid and being short on help and I understand that. We will definitely be back to stay. You can open your window just a bit and hear the falls! Also I almost forgot….. the orange cream brûlée was amazing!
My visit was for respite. I have cared for my 81 yr old Mom since 2015. This was our 1st break since Sept 2020. I was able to dine across the street at Butcher and Sprout. Kayak the river with Burning River, and enjoy a walking tour by Shops off the Boardwalk. My experience was so lovely. My Room was quiet even though it faced the street. My fellow Guests were respectful. Staff seemed to enjoy their experience as well.
They had to move us into another room because the air conditioning wasn’t working. Our closet door was broken. The toilet seat wasn’t tied to the floor all the way. The sheets weren’t completely on the mattress, which then exposed a dirty mattress. The bath tub was chipped and rusted near the drain. Paid WAY to much for this hotel for one night. Newer hotels are much nicer. They 100% need to upgrade and update. The staff was very nice and accommodating. I used to stay at this hotel when I was younger and it was such a nice hotel. The quality has definitely gone down since. I hope they renovate soon.
We stayed here because of the cool view of the falls, and for that, it was just right. The Falls View rooms are unique! The casual restaurant on the water was hip and good. The in hotel restaurant was super dated and stuffy. The room was clean but amenities were scarce. No blanket? Just a top sheet? Only one towel for family of four? We did some looking around the hotel and found many areas needing repair, specifically the rock stairwell- literally some exposed wire, hole in the wall, standing water with a cone nearby. ?
The room, personnel, and views were very nice. A few things knocked the rating down. Mainly, many amenities were very limited due to staffing issues, but there was no mention of this prior to check-in, no discount was given for the reduced amenities, and the building seems like it could use some maintenance. The room I booked came with club lounge access, but it was closed. The hours seemed very limited for the restaurant. The pool was closed for part of our stay. The compensation we were given was a $10 voucher to be used for breakfast or in the store by reception. It was checked for two people, so I would assume it was worth $20, but really it was $10 total, so $5 per person. This is a very small amount for the large lack of amenities. The Jettys restaurant/bar had very poor service as well.
The room was a nice size and layout. Warning: staff does not wear masks. Hotel was very crowded. Our room smelled of cigarette smoke (we aren’t smokers), and we were asked to sign a paper saying we wouldn’t smoke in the room. My son found food smeared in the carpet. We found wads of hair around the room. Pretty gross considering the price we paid. Expected more.
We had our wedding here which was excellent!!!! The hotel rooms could use an update and the bedding could really be updated/refreshed. You could see where maintenance has lacked ... the little walkway from the rock level to the elevator has mold and is leaking water. Some of the rooms have wallpaper peeling and the ac in some rooms wasn’t really working. The guy at the front desk at the time didn’t seem to care. It was a good stay and a beautiful hotel.. with the right upgrades and some attention to detail this hotel could be that much better.
We had a lovely and very welcoming time at this Sheraton! We were able to check in early, even though it was a busy weekend, and the front desk manager was so polite and accommodating. Every staff member we encountered was warm and welcoming! Our room was well appointed and we had plenty of space to all peacefully coexist! The views cannot be beat and our brunch at the restaurant, Beaus on the River was spectacular! I definitely recommend this hotel!
We stayed 2 nights for our 25th anniversary. It was wonderful!! The restaurant was awesome for dinner with exquisite lobster bisque and good steaks .Our room was attractive and well appointed. Other than a few cobwebs on the ceiling, it was immaculate. Tip:you have to ask for maid service. We will know next time!Plus the view was spectacular!!!!
We just did a wedding room block and let me tell you how special they treated us….it was truly special! From the associate that stopped me in the hallway because I had a cart and offered to take it for me, to front desk that was so kind and caring (especially Anna), to Stacey Sobel with events and housekeeping who did an amazing job. They offered to hold our flowers in their coolers without being asked, checked on us as we walked by, brought us breakfast tickets as they knew we were busy with entertaining our guests, offered to hand out welcome gifts to guests…all of this for only 10 guests rooms. I was amazed with the service. Thank you all!!
Great property with am amazing river view. Can walk to breweries, restaurants and local shopping to the right or left of the hotel. Perfect location for hiking in Cuyahoga Falls as well. Stayed there with my family for the older kids Fall Break from school and had a wonderful time. Perfect weekend getaway!
Got tired on the road back home and jumped off the freeway when we saw we were approaching some hotels and stopped at the Sheraton. They were able to accommodate us without a reservation, placed us in a beautiful suite and honored a military discount. The lounge was still open and we were able to wind down a bit. The staff was very personable and the facility is large and beautiful. Very unexpected surprise for a last minute jump-off from the freeway.
You would think for the amount you pay for a room. They would at least have. a continental breakfast for their guests. Instead they have a restaurant inside the hotel. They have nothing to do with Sheraton. And Sheraton brunch starts at $26. I thought that was awful. So if you had children with you. Its very inconvenient. The staff were pleasant. The check in was awful. I had guests coming from out of town. They had to wait about an hour to get their rooms. Reservations I made in December. Everyone should be on the same page. However Stacy took great care of us. She is awesome.
Most front desk workers are very respectable had only bad experience where my kids see other children they know from school and the hotel took it as because they where all the only African American kids in the pool that we were all together and complained about have over 6 guest until I pointed out I didn’t know them and then a hall complaint of loud noice from the other group took it as in because once again a group of black boys playing in the hall that it was my room that was doing it until I complained about it and asked them to watch camera they told me “I don’t seem to see anything” yet I recorded the kids knocking and running and asked them to see what room they go to and contact the person at charge
I booked 20+ rooms for a weekend basketball tournament. Stacy in group sales had everything set up for us and was very easy to work with. She even returned phone messages. Ally at the front desk was very accommodating and helpful during our stay and the night shift gentleman (sorry I didn’t get his name) was able to meet our needs as far as the parents and teams went. Great Job! Huge hotel, good parking, great location and staff.
I have stayed at this hotel several times for a professional conference. The staff is always helpful, rooms clean and comfortable. Food service is good and the food prepared well.Very nice location right on the river. The newer The Jetty bar is a nice spot for meeting with friends.
Customer Service was great. However, it was loud due to guests from wedding and the highway is so close. Convenient location but my brother n law stayed at a cheaper Marriott hotel and they even got continental breakfast which makes a difference when you have 2 kids that wake up super early!
We had a nice stay at the Sheraton. The hotel was extremely clean. The staff was helpful and friendly. We loved the pool. We just needed a little family time and this hotel was perfect. Beds are really hard and pull out sofa is flat but we just stayed one night so not a big deal.
On 9/14/2021, my husband and I went there for our anniversary. Our rate was changed because we were black. They charged my husbands card for $89.89, the next day they changed my t and charged $144.74 plus the $89.89. on top of all that they double charged us for our food in the lounge. This place is terrible, the food was terrible and the service was even worse. Housekeeping woke us up at 9:40 am, check out is 12 pm! I really feel mistreated! Talking to them on the phone before we got there, they were as sweet as pie. Then in person, they do what they feel you deserve because we are black. I will never stay there again! That place is so runned down, that they will take all your money and laugh in your face! Shame on you!
We secured the Sheraton a year and a half before the wedding. Their coordinators were top notch even through COVID. We ended up moving the wedding to the site as well as the church would not open as long as the County was red on the COVID map. The tasting day was well organized the the food was excellent. The event itself went off without a hitch. Everyone had a great time. As the mother of the. bride, destressing in the room was easy. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and the shower was hot. I can’t thank the Sheraton and their coordinator, Cathy, enough for all of their efforts in making the wedding a success.
The hotel is nice (a bit old), the Staff are AMAZING and friendly. Because of COVID there were no breakfast options in the hotel until Saturday/Sunday. It was nice to be able to use the pool and hot tub and that area could use some updating. Our King room was HUGE and had a microwave, coffee maker, and small fridge. No housekeeping unless you request it. Again, some updating on those appliances could be done. Overall, a great stay and would come back.
Were promised upgrades of some kind that we did not get. Told at check in we didn’t qualify even though we were offered & promised when made reservations. Special occasion of our birthdays & anniversary. Disappointed as we had our wedding reception there over 20 years ago and stayed many times since. Planned to stay 3 nights and stayed only 1 night.
During my stay I had the whirlpool suite. We dined I. The restaurant and the staff there were wonderful. The room and view were beautiful. The evening staff on the other hand were not up to par. They did not greet me with kindness they actually did the exact opposite. I probably will not be coming back to this location due to the evening staff at the main entrance check in desk making me feel uncomfortable.
The lobby, ballroom, and food were wonderful. However, the hotel rooms were dirty and appeared as if they hadn’t been updated in at least 20 years. The lower bed covering on the bottom of the bed looked as if it had a coffee stain or a bodily fluid (brown) stain all down the side by the nightstand. Clearly, the sheets had not been cleaned. Additionally, the air conditioning worked in the central lobby areas but did not work at all in the rooms. You could hear it blowing but it was a solid 80 degrees in the room, despite it having a unit which could be lowered to 60. This did not work at all. Given covid, you would expect the hotel to be cleaned regularly; however the staff only clean/visit the room after you leave. Despite staying two days and not having cleaning services they only provide you towels for one night and you have to request more. They also charge you an upfront unauthorized charge for damages that are said to be refunded upon proof of no damage; however, we’ll see if that is the case in the next few days. I was not informed of this charge until after reviewing my bank account as all invoices excluded this and I had to ask the front desk about the additional charge. I felt stuffy after the first night and continued to feel that way during my stay. It’s so dirty and stuffy temperature wise that breathing in the rooms is restricted. I would only recommend if you are eating here to enjoy the view of the falls. Otherwise, this is not a hotel to stay the night in due to its cleanliness issues. I would equate it to a motel in this regard.
Where we arrived for our reservation for a king size bed, our room had 2 full size beds. When I called the front desk we were told they did not have a king size bed to give us, to fulfill Our reservation. But we were more than welcome to check out and go stay somewhere elstay somewhere else. We went downstairs to eat after driving 3 hours 3 hours and the restaurant was not seating or serving anyone and closing 2 hours early its 2 hours early. We were told we could go to the bar next door extor which was standing room only , no covid protocol in place. Our reservation. We asked about room service and was told they did not have it but we could take our food to go to our room.. The next morning I went downstairs to get hot decaf coffee since I have a heart condition and was told they do not have any brewed but handed me a packet and told me I could make it in my room I would not recommend.
My wife and I stayed there because I was doing the Burning River 100 race. While I was running my wife had a very relaxing weekend, sitting by the falls enjoying a good book or eating in the restaurant overlooking the falls. Not sure there is a better location around the region. The staff was awesome and the place was clean!
The staff was excellent at the front desk, in the lounge and at the restaurant. We had asked for a 1pm checkin and we’re told it would be 2:30 which I understood. When we came back at that time the room wasn’t ready so they upgraded us to a 2 story king suite and gave us free breakfast vouchers. Great customer service!
We had a wonderful stay. The room was very clean. The pool was clean. We were alittke disappointed The hot tub was being fixed but understood those things happen. The staff was helpful and friendly. My only complaint is the beds are extremely hard. Weve stayed here a few times and the beds are always hard! Otherwise an great stay every time
I stayed here four nights as part of running the Burning River trail race. (Actually three nights - one night I was out there running.) Location was perfect, with the race start and finish just yards away. And my room was spacious and comfortable - just what I needed. Several good restaurants and a coffee shop are within walking distance or just a short drive away. Couldnt recommend this place more to someone doing this race or visiting Cuyahoga Falls.
You can tell this WAS a very nice hotel, but it’s showing it’s age. Between a lobby leak when we arrived, sinks or toilets that did not work properly, and uncomfortable beds and bedding, my whole stay was not pleasant. The floors in the suite had not been swept well and there was trash left in the cans from previous guest.
We came here for nostalgias sake, as 10 years ago, it was where we stayed for our honeymoon. At the time we could only afford a basic room. This time however, we stayed in a a bi-level suite for our anniversary. Nice upgrade or so we thought.First night was great, hotel staff was attentive when we checked in, as they should be. We made reservation at Beaus for the next evening.Breakfast does not get served until 8:45 in the morning. We ate out as we are early risers and are up well before then.As we arrived in the evening, close to dusk, we went out to eat elsewhere our first evening. The rooms are in sore need of updating for a Sheraton/Marriot brand but we were here for nostalgias sake and didnt mind. The basic local TV was disappointing as even the oldest Marriot family of hotels I stay at always have the Marriot TV packages. The next day, after we came back from breakfast, we went out to the River side view. Trash and beer cans everywhere on the. The landscaping has been neglected for quite some time. Doors and windows open, there are no screens in any of them. Most were quite dirty inside and out. Then the parties started showing up. There was a wedding reception or similar. Teens and children running up and down the halls. Large, loud groups roaming the halls and standing around talking loud enough to hear downstairs in the suite. We went to Beau’s for dinner and while our server was very attentive and the food was lovely, they sat us, in a nearly empty restaurant near an inebriated family of 10. We were treated to the father’s tales on drunkenness at that very location over the years. We tipped out server well and left.During the meal, the people we had caring for our animals had report to us that one of our dogs ran off while being let out. We really don’t live that far, so we quickly retreated to our room and changed to go look for our animal. Due to the fact that we could not find her, my wife decided to stay home and cut our stay short. I returned to the Hotel to retrieve our belongings and check out.The staff upon checkout did not even ask why we were leaving that early, 11pm the night before or original departure time. I stay at Marriots for work. When I leave early, due to the projects I am on being done sooner than expected, I have never NOT been asked why I am leaving early.I believe in the future I will be staying at a different Hotel brand. In the future when my wife and I want to revisit somewhere for Nostalgia’s sake, we will skip this memory.
Look at the reviews for this property, every other comment is something negative. Everything from the cleanliness/ upkeep of the hotel all the way to the service was very poor. Disappointing, The hotel needs a complete remodel starting with most of the front staff. The management needs better training dealing with civil matters without escalating them into a criminal matter by threatening to call the police (Especially on a group of African American guests). Looking through the reviews online this is not an isolated event.
We stopped here for our halfway point of a road trip. We have 2 kids under 3 so we needed a place to allow a pack n play in a separate area of the room. The rooms are very spacious and great for a family to spend an evening. The surrounding area is great for walking and killing time. The only issue we had was on both times we stayed, the sheets were dirty when we got to the room. The second time we stayed the door that slides to close the living space off was installed incorrectly and didnt slide to create separate sleeping spaces.
This was our 1st time at this location. Beautiful, clean and the customer service was wonderful. I spoke with Whitney when I called to find out about the location, then I spoke with Melissa when we were ready to book, Josh checked us in and in the Lounge overlooking the falls we had Monica wait on us, the steak was cooked perfect, the shrimp were large and tasty too. Top notch cook and service. I hope I got the servers name right. She made us a phenomenal apple martini with a interesting cherry which was super yummy. The room had a wonderful view of the falls, thank you Melissa and we will be back. We bought a home and are moving out of the socialist run State of Michigan. I think that the employees should NOT be wearing masks, they make me feel uncomfortable, especially since its clear that face diapers do not work. I would feel better seeing their smiles & thats important to the health and wellbeing of Society. Smiles and laughter are good for the body, mind and soul. It would be different if the Virus didnt have over a 99% full recovery rate for over 97% of the population Thank you
I stayed here for a wedding. Upon checkout I left the gown that I wore in our room. That was my mistake. The issue is that someone walked off with my gown. And the hotel is telling me they don’t have it. They have not been helpful at all. Not calling me back when they say they will. I don’t know how you can tell me housekeeping didn’t find a long pink gown in the closet. Maybe this is showing that they don’t clean and do a thorough check of the room before the next guest. Leaving the dress in the room for the next guest to steal. So either they don’t clean well and the next guest stole me dress or an employee of the hotel stole it and did a good job of not leaving any trace.
Tried a weekend getaway. Planned on staying 2 days. Friday check-in Sunday checkout.Myself, wife and 2 young children. We were in one of the penthouses facing the river.SoThe staff is great. Friendly. But in all honesty the hotel need a remodel. The windows are cracked, falling off the tracks etc. The wallpaper is coming down. Carpet worn. Its really due for a make over.We had dirty socks from previous people behind door in bathroom. My 2 year old handed me medicine she got from underneath the couch. Thank God she didnt eat it.Very unsatisfied with the quality of cleaning (especially during covid).Needless to say we checked out early. Most likely wont go back to this location.
We booked a room to get ready for our elopement and stay for our wedding night. The cleanliness and upkeep of the room was wanting - a weird bag of linens was stashed in the closet, surfaces were sticky, and it was kind of shabby. We saw a few guests roaming in the halls maskless. We didnt complain because we were on a tight schedule and had a lot of running around to do what with wedding stuff. We had planned on having room service breakfast in bed the next morning, but there was no info in room at all about hotel amenities. I get that COVID precautions change availability of things, but its been a year - you couldnt at least leave a sign indicating there werent amenities? The staff were great, the hotel location is lovely, the restaurant is very good (weve been there previously). The stay was lacking.
We chose this hotel for the location (right on the rushing river) and because the pool was open (many hotels still have them closed). For an older hotel, the building was well kept and clean. Food choices were still quite limited but we found what we needed in the small store in the lobby. Great area within walking distance of several great restaurants and shops.
The hotel is best located if someone is planning to explore Cuyahoga National Park. The hotel itself sits by the river stream and if you can get a good deal on river view rooms, that will be awesome. The hotel has nice park just adjacent to it if you want to unwind and relax after days hiking and exploring the various attractions around. We didnt have time to use Swimming Pool and Gym but theyre there for use. We were a group of two families and had adjacent rooms with connected door which was good. If we visit the park again, sure to rent back. Thanks
This hotel is so dirty and run down. The bathroom had tons of mold. The outdoor area is haphazardly put together and completely not taken care of (cobwebs and spider webs everywhere on the decks). Just a mess all around. The view would be great if the hotel wasn’t so run down. But at twice the price of other hotels in the area, this wasn’t even remotely worth it.
Great location, comfortable and spacious suites, friendly and helpful staff. Now, pool, hot tub and the bar are all shut down in one day? Not acceptable at all and some form of rewards should be substituted to make up for a massive gaping hole in guests’ amenities that are all marketed as available.
The hotel had clean rooms that were well furnished. The food at the restaurant was very good. It had a great location close to the river and shops and restaurants. The only issue we had was that there was a childrens soccer tournament that had many families staying at the hotel. Thus resulted in children running up and down the hallways with no masks and the pool and jacuzzi being packed. At one time there were more than a dozen children in the jacuzzi. We walked to the pool area multiple times to see if the crowd had thinned out. Finally, 30 minutes before it closed, we felt comfortable that the crowd was small and we were able to use the jacuzzi for about 15 minutes. I would suggest additionally monitoring when large groups such as this are staying at the hotel during covid so that guests not associated with the event may be able to use the facilities and feel comfortable doing so. Other than that, we would recommend.
This hotel desperately needs an overhaul. Desperately. Faucets corroded and hard to turn on and off, burnt out lights, no USB charging, leaking tub faucet, and the HVAC....oh my god....sooooo loud my wife and I had to raise our voices and the volume of the TV when it was on. Not only that but the odd thud/crashing noises above us every 45-60 minutes which we could not explain....really loud....like someone dropping a piece of furniture....but we were on the top floor? It woke us three times a night at least and happened at random times during the day when we were in and out of the room. There were other issues like the threadbare duvets on the beds and so forth but overall the HVAC was the worst part by far. So loud. The view from the restaurant is amazing and the staff and food are good. The front desk was kind and helpful but the facility is really poor.
Overall I was not pleased with my stay at this hotel. I generally stay appx. 30 days a year in Marriot properties and this one was one of the poorest experiences. Staff was pleasant at check in but the hotel smelled musty, almost reminiscent of urine in the common areas and elevators. It was very offputting. Additionally, my room was not properly cleaned at check in (mirrors had scum/water marks from someone brushing teeth/face wash that hadnt been cleaned) and my room was not serviced at all during my stay. I would not stay here again.
While I would definitely recommend and stay at the Sheraton Suites in Cuyahoga Falls again, there were a few things that left me a little disappointed with my experience. We requested a first floor room 3 times prior to arriving. First two were through direct phone calls, My final time was during my early check in chat which I received confirmation that Id receive a first floor room. (Elevator was an issue with my traveling companion). We arrived half hour before the 3 pm check in with no first floor room for us (I even showed the girl my confirmation). No adjustment made. Getting to our room, no hand soap and only 3 wash cloths even though housekeeping would not be there during our stay. Called down for hand soap. Took two calls before we received any. Unable to take advantage of our complimentary breakfast due to the limited hours of their restaurant due to covid restrictions, they offered us vouchers for their gift shop. At no time were we told it was only good for food items. Saturday the girl allowed us to use it for non food item and offered to let us use our Sunday vouchers at that time. We waited. Mistake. Sunday we chose food and another small tube of hand cream. Sundays associate would only allow the food. By the way the gift shop prices are insane. Since these issues are not earth shattering, I would still recommend and stay here again.
Really enjoyed my 2 weeks at the Sheraton, rooms were clean, staff at desk was friendly and acknowledged each time arriving. Restaurant/Bar needs work, Male bartender seemed to be more interested in his phone then paying attention to customers. Bar was not routinely wiped down, had to ask a couple times for it to be cleaned. Covid protocols need to be reviewed, saw him one night actually cough into his hand and made no attempt to wash his hands or use sanitizer afterwards. Food was average.
I had a bartender suggest a glass of wine for me. I got my bill and the glass was $18. I was mortified. Thats the most expensive wine I have ever unintentionally ordered in my life. It was not worth it. He asked how it was and I said it was okay. Then I saw the price and just about died. I think you should have let me know that was one of the most high-end glasses of wine available in the universe LOL. The service was incredibly poor and it took over a half hour to get our bill. The entertainment was fabulous though. Stan Miller. The rest of the place can go bye-bye.
Overall the hotel was great. Room was clean and well cared for and the front desk staff were friendly and accommodating! The complimentary coffee is Starbucks... bonus! The only disappointment was the pool area. It seems to need an upgrade as it was not as well cared for as the rest of the hotel.
The wedding venue was elegant. Dinner, not so, only one dinner role per person. Not good. Had to wait for coffee or help myself from the other room. Not convenient. Food wise, appeared to be skimpy. Salad consisted of lettuce, and 1 tomato. Wow. So generous. Could Sheridan Hotel afford it? Beef and asparagus were fine. Its the little things that matter.
Staff friendly enough but the room was poorly lit making it hard to do desk work or even read the newspaper. Breakfast service was poor — food was not at the buffet table when breakfast opened and the hot quiche was lukewarm at best — not a great way to start the day. No Netflix service so stuck with lousy TV channels.
The Cuyahoga Sheraton is like a beautiful placid river you just want to jump into, only to realize the jagged rocks and current flow make it inhospitable. Lovely furnishings, nice couch, good amenities. And then…, The bathtub backs up at night revealing gross…matter? and ants. The internet is useless during evening events (fine in the morning), which is a huge problem if you want to get work done. Television non-intuitive (and I’m an IT guy). Fitness center just reopened for weekend access, so that’s better (Apple Watch interface does not work with equipment, though).
I will always stay here when I come to town! The views from the river suites are to die for, the drinks, bartenders, and food from everywhere (and did I mention the views at the restaurants and lounges within?) are all amazing. The pool and hot tub area and huge and quality, as is the fitness center! Do yourself a favor next time youre in the area and stay at the Sheraton. Eat there. Hang out on your patio by the river, taking in the sights and smells and energy. Its a high quality venue right next to a beautiful river, that lets you unwind and relax.
The staff is friendly and the location is great. No housekeeping but they should have at least brought the guests fresh towels daily instead of constantly asking for them. The hotel is tired, it needs an upgrade. I will continue to stay there for business because of the location.
This was our mid-point stop for going cross-country. When I reserved the hotel amenities said the hotel was pet-friendly which was a deciding factor in staying at this property. When I checked in...then and only then did the hotel provide further info on the pet policy and added a $50 non-refundable charge for having a pet. That was disappointing.Otherwise...the hotel was restful and the staff was great. Hotel could use an update...it looks worn-out in the bathroom. Old caulk, loud toilets, and bathtub shower is not my thing, otherwise we slept well and hit the road early in the morning to continue our journey.
Met with clients in a large conference room with plentiful refreshments. Staff was friendly and tended to every need during the stay. Amenities were not open 24 hours, but with Covid, this has been common. Dining was nice and the views were beautiful facing the river.
The pool hours do not make any sense Open at 11 am and check out at 12. The pool wasnt clean, Hot tub was not working. The windows by the pool were dirty in and out. The lower level was flooded with a bad smell. I feel like I paid too much for not to enjoy the place at all.
Poorly lit parking lot. Room is very outdated, like somebodys retired grandpas house. You have to hold the base below the handle when turning on the sink. The refrigerator not very cool temperature wise. Little 32 inch televisions. No channel guide. Thermostat is a seek and find mission. Hint its in the bedroom? Who puts the thermostat in the bedroom. Within the hour of arriving turned my two night stay to one. To be continued maybe, Im still here... If youre on the second floor prepare to sleep with the tv on to block parking lot noise.
I will find another property at which to stay and would like to request a portion of my cost to be refunded. I am a long term rewards customer and it is my intention to make sure that the corporate office knows about this experience and the lack of care and response provided me and my wife. I also requested that the 2nd TV be looked at due to it not working well and nothing was done.
I took my family to this hotel and I even got 2 rooms we tried to eat dinner but that wasn’t even an option due to online reservations for EVERYONE NOT EVEN GUESTS! Then we sat for 20 minutes in the lounge by the bar area and no server ever even attempted to greet us or even ask if we wanted menus or water! I went to the bar to ask for a menu and beforeI could speak a server says, WE ARE BUSY WE WILL GET TO YOU WHEN WE CAN! My refrigerator didn’t work in the phones in both rooms didn’t work at all I had to the front desk to ask for things! When I asked the front desk for a menu the front desk employee offered me a Euro Gyro menu vs the Hotel menu I wanted as if I wanted to eat $6 dinners so instead I ordered $300 worth of food from Door Dash and tipped another $50 Just for the delivery driver! This hotel is full of disrespectful Stereo types jumped to judge me because I’m in my comfy clothes but I had money to spend and this is my second disappointment with this hotel I think they need to correct these issues before they continue to get bad reviews for the horrible service and unpleasant environments they continue to provide!!!!
Positive: The location Negative: Requested a city view room instead we were placed on the lower level under the hotel with a view of dirt and bushes. Went to use the shower in the morning and found that it wasn¿t clean. Had hairs and red spots. Front desk staff was very rude
We stayed in a multi-level suite. The bathtub had a yellow ring, dirt was built up in the corners, there was a hole in the couch. This room was not up to the level that would be expected for such a pricey room. On top of that they charged the wrong card for the room and made zero effort to correct their mistake. We are frequent travelers and this is the worst experience we have had in years.
The first place we ever stayed in the Akron area, and its still our go-to staycation destination. The bar inside is a great place for a date night drink, and the one outside is a cool place to hang on nights when the weather is nice. In the Beforetimes, the Sunday brunch buffet was one of our favorites.
This is a beautiful hotel. Very clean, spacious suite. Nice view in the restaurant bar/dining room overlooking the falls. Only negatives: the pillows were very uncomfortable, they smoosh down too much for any real support. Also, it is located across the street from a fire dept. so there is noise/sirens.
Beautiful hotel right on the river. Walking distance to decent eating and drinking choices. Pet friendly which was a huge reason why we choose it with a location to walk the dog in close proximity. Well maintained and everyone was very helpful and courteous. Only negative was so packed parking was difficult a couple days.
This is a nice hotel. I have stayed here on various occasions, but to be honest, I do not feel that the rooms are worth the price being charged and the food was VERY subpar. The staff was kind and did what they could to help any problems we had for the most part. I did run into a few unclean spots in my hotel room where I found hair left behind by the bed and my refrigerator was not working. We did figure out the refrigerator situation though.
First our keys didn’t work to get to our room. Then we get new keys. Someone was already in the room. They moved our room. Bed was comfortable but the toilet ran all night long making a ton of noise. The bathroom grout was so dirty and there was a ton of hair in the drain. When we were leaving there was a carbon monoxide issue and someone was taken out on a stretcher.
I checked in on 4/9, my birthday, and they began check in with awful customer service. My card was authorized for $704.00, and before the staff member did it, I told her twice I wasn’t the person she was referring to, but we had the same last name. They never apologize nor did they offer to fix it. All they did was talk down to me as though I didn’t know what an authorization hold was, but zero explanation as to why the hold was so much in the first place- when I heard other people being checked on for longer stays being charged less. I won’t stay again, this is the second time I’ve experienced profiled and targeted issues with this hotel. I have come to expect much more from the Marriott brand, but that definitely isn’t the case here.
The space in the one bedroom suite was comfortable and homie, 3 other of my childhood friends got together to celebrate a 50th birthday milestone and this room was perfect! The amount of space, the comfortable beds with amazing sheets and blankets all the way down to the sleeper sofa!!!! It was a perfect night
We reserved a king suite for a wedding and reception we were attending at the Sheraton. Upon arrival we thought the hotel was beautifully designed , the staff was waiting to check you In with smiles . Everyone was very friendly, informative, and helpful in pointing us in proper directions for our event. The wedding and reception was held in beautiful rooms and the food was amazing! Our room was spacious, clean , and very comfortable. We both have bad backs so we are extremely picky about beds and pillows, these were so comfy that we slept in! I would recommend this hotel to couples or families! We will definitely come back again.
I rarely stay at hotels during the holiday season because they tend to raise the prices and have a skeleton crew running the place. However, my stay at Sheraton in Cuyahoga Falls was just the opposite. I am a rewards member and I booked, approximately six weeks in advance so I received a very affordable rate for a four day stay (including Christmas Day). When I checked in there were two hotel clerks at the front desk. This seemed to be the norm throughout my stay with even three clerks when I checked out. And there probably were more housekeepers working than guests...lol. I love this location because I felt safe walking my dog...yes, its pet friendly! There were plenty of food choices from local, room service, or a highway literally around the corner for a quick trip if you dont like the other options. Lastly, the parking lot was large and well lit. The only negative thing I would say about this hotel is the fact that breakfast isnt free/included. This might be a deal breaker for big families traveling. But, not for me. I highly recommend this hotel.
The suite was as beautifully decorated as the public areas in this hotel. The river view was spectacular from the room as well as lounge. The king bed was perfect in comfort, with selection of cover thicknesses and pillow types. Layout of the room was magnificent, sliding doors between every space. I will return to this hotel when I need accommodation next time. This review has my age as 18-25, but I am double that, and have travelled around the world twice. This is definitely the best hotel I have been in, hands down.
TV didn’t work the first night I asked for maintenance to come fix it in the morning and he overheard a conversation and I was speaking about my stay there saying I should get a discount because I didn’t have a TV like that I didn’t have everything I was supposed to have a next thing I know they kick me out of the room and over charged my account. I want my refund and I want it now. This is my first time staying here and this will probably be my last time the service was terrible but the room was nice minus the TV that didn’t work in the bedroom. And the room could’ve been clean better and sanitized because of Covid.
Our hotel room was dirty and front desk person made us feel uncomfortable and unwelcomed. Shower faucet dripped all night, rust in the tub due to the dripping faucet, stain on wash cloth, and dirty coffee cup found by coffee maker.Front desk person kept watching us all night whenever we went by the front desk area like we were doing something wrong and unwelcomed. He made a comment to us when requesting plastic silverwares about number of people allowed in room. We had 4 people in the hotel room that stayed overnight but had an additional member come to swim with us which put our number to 5 people. Front desk person never mentioned this information and/or stated that this was not allowed when checking in. We avoided the front desk area during our stay due to how uncomfortable and unwelcomed this person made us feel. Would not recommend.
The bilevel suites need renovated they are old and out dated certainly not worth the 500/night. The sofa had a stain on it and it smelled like urine. The wallpaper is peeling and there were stains on the ceiling they should offer more amenities for the kitchenette- paper towels dish towels or dishrags.I will definitely not recommend going here if you are looking for something nice it’s not worth the money
Positive: The river it was built on. Negative: Paid for king bed riverview room, got queen and only view of river was by standing on the desk to look down. There was a loud bang every ~30 minutes thru the night so sleep was impossible. Room service orders were wrong and delivered in takeout boxe
I got a suite and was told 4 people to a suite at all times so I purchased a 2nd suite. Went to eat dinner and restaurant was packed without outside guests people not staying at the hotel then the lounge left my family unattended without even a hello for 20+minutes. When I went to the front desk to get a menu for room service the attendant tried to hand me a EuroGyro menu as if I wanted to buy $6 dinners for my family so I DoorDashed dinner spending $300 and tipping another $100 to the driver... Not everyone was rude but 70% of these people at this hotel are rude as heck and should be working in the hospitality business at all... I love Marriott hotels and this one was my favorite oasis but not anymore... I don’t recommend this hotel...
Amazing staff and excellent responsiveness to our circumstances . We used our reward points to book two rooms as a treat and a good nights rest for my siblings. After traveling two days we were all looking forward to a good nights sleep. The hotel was well appointed and on the river and had under gone a major renovation in the lobby and a good percentage of the rooms. When I booked the rooms I read the reviews and they were mixed mostly due to the renovation process but there were many glowing reviews of the staff when issues arose as in our case. Our room was lovely and comfortable with well appointed seating and living spaces however, on this hot August night, the air conditioning although it was working, was very sluggish and it never really cooled the room. That wasnt a huge issue for me by itself as we live in Florida and that happens sometimes. However, about 2 am, a car which was parked directly under our window as our room faced the street, the alarm went off on on for a period of around two hours or more. Needless to say,we had a very tense , restless night. I normally do not complain and I realize that issues outside of the hotel may be out of their control but our quality of sleep was affected and we spent a lot of points on the two rooms . I called down to the guest services and Megan was great and apologetic. She offered us vouchers for breakfast buffet for our party if four and told me that I could speak with Elizabeth, the manager, when she got in. Elizabeth was gracious and wanted us to have a good experience at the Akron hotel so she told me that some points would be added back into our Starwood account within 10 days. We were very pleased at the number of points added back into the account. I rated this hotel stay as a good one because even though there were a couple of major issues, like we find in just living life, the way the staff all responded was amazing and that is what makes one want to come back.
I travel a lot and this hotel is one of the nicest and well maintained hotels Ive stayed. My husband and I enjoyed the river view from the lounge while sipping a glass or two of wine. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. Our room was beautiful with a comfortable bed and great bedding. The layout of the room was perfect since I am an early riser and my husband likes to sleep a little longer we were able to close the bedroom off from the remaining area of the room. Very comfortable, very clean, went above my expectations.
Hotel lobby and rooms were clean and modern. Carpet felt clean however was a little wrinkled in our room. The hotel pool seemed pretty dated, although the area was nice with plenty of windows and bright light. We had mixed experiences with the staff. Most were friendly and tried to help, but just couldnt in some cases (unable to answer questions about club lounge hours over a holiday weekend).I also noticed several things staff just plain ignored; dirty glasses left in common areas all day long, trash in hallways for hours, cigarette butts on the ground by the front door, club lounge out of water and snacks for more than half the day. These arent deal breakers but little details add up.Rita in the club lounge was a highlight. She went far out of her way to accommodate us. Thanks Rita!
I came to this hotel for brunch after a friends wedding. The waitress Wendy gave us menus with half of the available options and got upset when we asked what else is offered. Wendy continued trying to keep her composure after being told the she’s wrong for not explaining everything that her job offered but ya know, costumer service. Then we all ended having to tip Wendy $8.40 due to gratuity being included due to our party size. She didn’t deserve any type of tip. Wouldn’t recommend anyone attend brunch at this establishment. Plus there was more juice that champagne in the mimosa. Prime rib was good though.
For 500 a night the suites need upgraded had problems with the tv working after checking in on my wedding day and also not many channels, the sofa downstairs had stains on it just all the furniture needs to be updated I’ve been to many less costly suites that looked a lot better
Took my girlfriend here to get engaged at Beaus on the River and the restaurant was excellent. I then surprised my now fiance with a stay at the Sheraton and the service was great staff was great. Beds were very comfortable, pool was nice, and the room was very clean. I had a bit of planning to get engaged and the staff was very accommodating, they helped me make the reservations, set up the room special and helped me pick the table at Beaus with the best view and best camera angle to capture it all on tape.10/10 Will stay here again. All staff was great! But special thanks to Julia at the front desk and Rachel the supervisor at Beaus.
The location was perfect for us, with easy access to the highway, Akron, Cleveland and surrounding areas. We loved the pool and hot tub, and the views of the river and waterfalls were incredible. We had an issue with a drain in our room, but received a new room quickly. The rooms have lots of space, which is really nice, as we had family visit while we were there. The mattress on the bed could have been a little softer, otherwise, we were very comfortable. The lounge at the hotel had great food, and a good wine list, so that was a bonus.
The Sheraton was a very comfortable place upon entry you felt welcomed right away. Check in was convenient. The interior design is beautiful. Gives a luxurious feel. The elevator is glass you can look out while taking the elevator up. The room was very comfy. Beautiful view of the fall from our room. The bath tub whirl pool was Soo comfortable and soothing. Service was great ppl was very friendly. Beaus on the river was a great place for dining. Phenomenal Over all stay was awesome. 5 stars
I havent been to Cuyahoga Falls in 20 years, so I was pleasantly surprised that there were so many things to do in the area. The hotel was very clean, the staff was courteous and attentive, the scenery was outstanding, and our little get-away was over much too quickly.
We had a great experience at this Sheraton. The room was clean, we had views of the falls, the gym was clean, and the pool/jacuzzi area was great. We were also able to take our two dogs with us which was a great feature! The service was also amazing (front desk/room service were very kind). The only thing that we had a slight problem with was the shower (water pressure was pretty low/shower was a bit moldy).
My businesss stay for 2 nights was good. Professional and courteous representatives and clean. Good and comfortable spacious room. Really good food at Beaus restaurant. Only one issues, bathtub faucets leaked continuously and was not fixed during my stay. I would stay there again.
Room was awesome! It was kept very clean and had a lot of neat features like a pocket door to separate beds from sink area, which was nice when I got up earlier than my coworker and didnt want the light to wake her. The beds were very comfortable and I enjoyed the shampoo/conditioner/body wash provided as well as the mouthwash and lotion. The hotel itself was located within walking distance of some delicious restaurants and a short drive to any other store you may need.
I’ve stayed at much cheaper hotels that were nicer. I expected a great experience, however I was extremely disappointed. The beds, pillows and blankets were god awful. When we got into the room there was dirty standing water in the tub. The whole room was janky and needs updating bad. Such a disappointment
Having a hotel with all suites is great. I make an annual trip to Cuyahoga Falls and after staying at the Sheraton Suites in Akron/Cuyahoga Falls I avoid the hotel search game and head straight to the Sheraton. The suites are roomy and have all the comforts of home. I love the sliding doors between the sleeping area and sitting area both for privacy and the feeling of home. Each room features a larger than dorm size refrigerator, microwave, sink with plenty of cups/glasses. The staff is most welcoming and ready to help with any of your needs. I highly recommend this hotel and give it an A++++ My only disappointment was our waitress for breakfast. Very poor on day one, but day two she was fantastic. As the saying goes you dont know what may have been going on in her life and after her great service on day two, Im convinced that was the service guests are more accustomed to from her.
The hotel was poorly maintained and decided to closed workout facility and pool on a weekend when hotel was fully occupied for soccer tournament in town. Staff was rude but mostly in the evenings and also allowed a woman to stand in lobby with containers of her belongings for over 8 hours by door with no mask waiting for a ride they said. no restaurant on sunday or monday. had no alternate options. had to call housekeeping because did not keep up with maintaining rooms and even when they did come they nuts laid stuff in other places never empties trash and just straightened beds didn’t change sheets. will never go back
A very good experience with many staff being helpful when needed. Good food at resterant and reception. Had river and highway noise, but it was acceptable. They need better lighting in the room. There were plenty of lights, just too dim for reading. No freezer in the fridge. The wedding reception was first class. Easy on and off the highway. Parking is an issue when there are other events at the hotel and/ or in the area. We had both. The bed was very comfortable.
We have enjoyed this hotel over the last 25 years! Its clean, staff is great, the restaurant`s are awesome and its pet friendly. We travel with our dog, and there was NO fee here, until this year. Which makes a difference when traveling & staying at a nice hotel. I hope they will change that. Otherwise, i wouldve given them a stretch to a 5 star. Really they are a 4 1/2. The rooms are very nice & clean. Some things are a bit dated, but it doesnt take away from the experience. We love the space in the rooms, and the beds are super comfy. Overall, its a Great hotel!
Beautiful hotel! From the outside, it doesnt look all the special. The hotel was clean and modern. The elevators have glass on the back, and you can see through them as you go to your room. We were on the third floor. The rooms were well-kept. Our room had sliding doors to close off the bedroom, which I found unique. The have a cozy bar and a restaurant in the hotel. Staff was very nice and helpful.
Absolutely wonderful. We had a King Suite full on with the romance package.we had a wonderful stay. Minus the TV in the bedroom was broken and would Not turn on. Everything was just perfect. Thank you Sheraton and Beaus on the River staff for being so kind. We will definitely be staying again for sure. The river view is awesome this time of year.
I dont care how long you have been together as a couple but I bet that you will not be able to help yourself in falling in love again with a Getaway Weekend at the Sheraton Suites Akron Cuyahoga Falls! Who would think with all places to go that this location hits the top!!! I love the interior decor! Modern, soothing and relaxing.! The individual suites have everything that one would desire but I highly recommend staying on the river side. The falls are outstanding. The outdoor patio bar with music on the river just adds magic to your evening along with an inviting selection of food and drinks. The atmosphere is friendly and it is easy to pick up a conversation with server staff and other guests sitting nearby. Very nice and clean pool, hot tub and workout room facilities and the breakfast buffet has something for everyone. And also, to say the least, very tasty! So if you want to have a fun and romantic getaway surprise your other half and make your reservation today!
My husband, mother and I enjoyed a one-night getaway in one of the bi-level suites on a Friday night. The balcony overlooking the Falls was wonderful, and the layout of the suite was not only unique, but perfect for our needs. The beds were comfortable, everything was clean, and the staff we encountered (with the exception of lackluster wait service at breakfast at Beaus) were great. Another perk is that there are quite a few dining/nightlife options within an easy walking distance from the hotel. The only reason I did not give this 5 stars is that the facility could use some updating. Our suite had areas where carpeting and wallpaper were torn, and the pool area/hot tub seemed to need some attention, as well. That being said, the pool/hot tub/sauna area is huge, and we did enjoy using it.We will stay here again for a nice getaway, and have recommended it to family and friends.
Great place to stay. The front desk personnel were friendly and helpful. The wait staff members in the dining room were efficient and personable. The room set up is great for business. The Wi-Fi was dependable and quick. The bathroom is large with a separate area for the toilet which is nice for a couple or a family. The tub is generously sized with a shower head. The view of the river from the room and from the dining room is marvelous. Parking is adequate.
We were there for a military ball and everything was wonderful! The dinner before the ball was excellent, even though there was a mishap in the kitchen. They cleared the 25 tables away quickly and we were able to dance the night away. The staff was easy to work with for conference rooms, vendor tables, etc. Check in and check out was a breeze.
My stay was terrible For my anniversary, I paid over $1200 for a king bi level balcony suite for two nights and had one bar of soap! One roll of tissue , one set of towels! I had to call the front desk and I feel for that price I shouldn’t have! The room was dirty , no bag in the tiny trash can ! I always loved the Sheraton but I won’t waste my money there anymore!!! Really has gone down hill!!
The room sizes are nice and for the most part the word suite is used correctly. Although I enjoyed the sitting area, wet bar (They actually had a beer opener which is amazing.), and microwave, the room was very dated and had some issues. For example, our room had peeling wallpaper in multiple areas. We thought one spot was weird looking, so we decided to investigate. Black spots (assuming mold) all behind. I wanted to throw up. The grouting it the bathroom around the tile, sink, and tub could have been redone. Oh, and the outlets were crooked. Nevertheless, I understand maintaining a hotel is a lot so I did not wish to complain while they were hosting 2 weddings last night. Anyway, the physical location of the hotel should be a five. The dining is right over the river, you can walk to the outdoor square where the amphitheater is location, close to the highway, and there are several trails to use as well.
My wife and I stay at this property a few times a year. We typically get a suite. Our last stay did not match the roughly 200 dollar a night price tag. Our room was not particularly clean. There were smudges in the door near the peephole. One of the towels had gross make-up stains on it. Sink handle was broken. I requested extra towels and did not get them. There was a wedding going on and I appreciate they were busy but these lapses in quality are what make us look elsewhere for our weekend getaways. Still one of our preferred properties to stay at but one that needs some attention to detail.
The room was perfect, never had to ask for anything. We had our puppy and they were able to put us in a room that was close to the door that leads to pet area outside. Amazing view of the river. Very quiet in the hallways and rooms around us. Hotel has many places to visit within walking distance. We would live to stay here again. I want to stay in the bi-level suite next time just to have the outside balcony that overlooks river. Looks like we will be going back! Loved our weekend getaway! We had our puppy with us and found this hotel through “bring Fido’s.
Our first stay at your hotel was exceptional. We arrived early to enjoy the buffet brunch at Beaus On the River. If you are here on a Sunday, this is a must! There is a vast array of exceptionally good food from eggs Benedict, shrimp cocktail, carved prime rib, chicken franchise, smoked salmon, salad, fruits, and desert table. Each item was incredible. Add to this the exceptional view overlooking the Cuyahoga River. Our suite was awesome! Very clean, comfortable and warm, with a stunning view of the river. Our room had a whirlpool that was just what the doctor ordered. The bed was perfect and led to a great night of sleep. The swimming pool and jacuzzi are appealing, but we never got a chance to enjoy them. The staff was friendly and helpful. It seemed as though time stood still for the short visit we had at Sheraton Suites. As a winter getaway we give your hotel the highest rating. The only negative of the trip is that we did not stay two nights. I guess we will plan to visit you next month and enjoy your hospitality for that extra day.Thank you for the memory.
We had our wedding at the Sheraton and we’re extremely pleased with everything. Dawn was wonderful to work with in setting everything up and Michelle did a great job taking care of everything that night. We had our ceremony in the Library room, cocktail hour in the Cascade Overlook and our reception in the Riverfront Ballroom. All of the spaces were beautiful; they just finished remodeling. The food was excellent; we had many complements. I also can not say enough good things about the staff that helped us make our special day so great. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The girls at the front desk were enthusiastic about my wedding as I was checking in; it made me even more excited for the day. The bartender working our event was wonderful as well, she made sure the groom and I always had a drink and had fun interacting with our guests. I would highly recommend the Sheraton for anyone in search of a beautiful wedding venue. The only negative thing I would mention is that while the bridal suite was large and had a great view; it was very outdated and didn’t seem to fit with the rest of our experience there. However, I believe they are remodeling those rooms as well, so that should not be an issue in the near future.
We booked the Sheraton hotel for the views. We absolutely loved the idea of being on the river; the giant windows, ect. It was really cool because we could hear the river from the inside of our room, awesome to wake up to! We were very excited about the hot tub; it was very busy on Saturday night so we skipped out but on Sunday no one was there so we went back! Unfortunately the hot tub would not heat up at all. This dropped our stay down a few levels. Otherwise, great stay.
My wife and I attended the 32nd Annual Ohio Regimental Military Ball here. The room, food, and facility are excellent; but I do not believe that the staffing was prepared for this event. There was to be an After-party at the Beau on the River bar, but sadly there was no or poor communication about what that entailed. The bartenders were insistent on closing, at midnight, with at least 30 to 40 people wanting to get service and this being a pre-arranged portion of our ball/conference. I feel bad for the person(s) the next day who could have planned this better and taken advantage of willingness to pay. Hopefully this is a learning experience for all, and our next meeting will be smoother.
Well, the overall stay was great, close to home, valet parking, Breakfast was amazing. But, I was really disappointed in the fact that we signed up for the New Years Eve party package so that we could celebrate safely. So, there was 8 of us and I Understand the expense of the liquor, BUT it was not top shelf the cups were small and you seriously wanted to charge $2.00 for a cup of water!!! As big as you are and the number of people you had for this party, Was it too much for you to put a pitcher of water on the table ?! All of these people were drinking and having a great time, But it was really warm in the ballroom and you couldnt give up a cup of water to people that spent a lot of money to stay at you hotel. This is not expectable by any means. That you are charging $2.00 for tap water. and they wanted us to use our drink tickets for a cup of water! Really!!! You need to rethink your options for next year because we all felt the same way. It might not sound like a big deal to you, But I will tell you that many guests were complaining about this. Believe it or not something this simple really does make a difference when it comes down to making the event great. But you chose to charge $2.00 for a CUP OF WATER
Excellent building with plenty of open areas and spacious clean suites and rooms. The on site dining establishment wont require you to leave the hotel for dinner or snacks. Both the restaurant and bar overlook the falls and the river and the staff are acquainted with the history. The staff is always pleasant and eager to please while not overbearing. The location in Cuyahoga Falls is literally minutes from any of the local attractions including the Hall of Fame or if you are off to visit the Cleveland Browns. We have stayed multiple times and never been disappointed.
The Sheraton Suites was just what we were looking for to relax and enjoy our 41 st Anniversary. The suites are large The pool was inviting and hot tub also. We enjoyed all the amenities the lounge was great for happy hour and the nice people we met who picked up our tab we truly Thank you!! also friendly bartender Larry . Beaus on the river views were beautiful and the restaurant was classy ,comfortable fine dining . There are places to walk to outside of the hotel. Glad we chose the Sheraton for our stay.
Just now leaving the Cuyahoga property. We had a GREAT stay at your hotel last evening!Your “pet friendly” hotel was clean, convenient and run SO WELL by your most welcoming, thoughtful and highly professional staff at the front desk and others. We have stayed at other “pet friendly” properties and found them AWFUL!!!We are sorry that these difficult times are bringing the hospitality industry such challenges, and we wish to HIGHLY RECOMMEND to other travelers your Cuyahoga Falls hotel, as we felt COMPLETELY SAFE, and PROTECTED from Covid 19. The staff at the front desk, and the woman who provided us with extra water, all wore masks and kept a distance, minimizing any need to touch anything other than our credit card for payment in the machine. The room was VERY CLEAN, provided us with water, hand sanitizers, sealed drinking cups, all needed to mitigate the spread! We plan to stay at your property upon our return trip. We appreciate the fact that your staff is highly vigilant, taking ALL PRECAUTIONS to keep even our pets VERY SAFE.Thank you,Diane
We had a one-night stay in Cuyahoga Falls and wanted it to be nice. This property exceeded expectations. Kasey at the front desk was stellar. The room was comfortable (especially the bed), and the view was beautiful. Quick access to OH-8 and the interstates also make this a great place to stay. They are also a pet-friendly property with a deposit and contract.Id stay here again for sure.
We received impeccable service at this really nice hotel. From Guest Services, Housekeeping and Maintenance, all were attentive and prompt to our needs. Beautiful falls view. Train noise didnt affect sleep once youve already fallen asleep. Super impressed with the cleanliness and layout of the suite. Super luxurious with spa tub, robes provided and closets and drawers in the bathrooms making getting ready quicker and easier. Had to avoid ordering anything grilled from the restaurant since it was black charcoaled lines affecting the taste. Other than that, the food and service at the restaurant was outstanding. Try the lobster bisque. TV channels reception on the upper channels not so great due to satellite dish issues. Wonderful view and wonderful suite. Fabulous and inviting pool, whirlpool, dry heat sauna and fitness center. Will definitely stay here again! Bravo!
I love this property for its staff - very professional, friendly and competent; beds are very comfortable; food is great and bar staff especially is fabulous and river-side view is unequaled in a 30 mile radius. But the property is showing some signs of age - fraying bar stool upholstery, elevator buttons which do not light up when pressed, beige/brown décor on guest floor halls and rooms. One item all travelers should be aware of - there are no USB charging ports in the guest rooms. Make sure you bring a corded charger for your cell phone or other devices.
This is truly one of our most favorite hotels in the area! The staff is absolutely amazing and the accommodations are incredible. Not to mention the amazing views and atmosphere. We highly recommend booking your next stay here or even just visiting for dinner and drinks with live music!!
We were there for my sons wedding which took place at a different location. The staff was friendly and the room very comfortable. Loved the mattress. We didnt experience any problems but some of the wedding party had problems with air conditioning and another with a leaking ceiling. It was raining very hard. Both issues were resolved promptly. Very pretty hotel and close to done really cool shops and restaurants.

2022-05-23Very disappointed. The staff was not friendly, the guy at the desk was rude when I asked about the $50 fee that was charged to my card that I was unaware of when booking. [Front desk never said anything and it was my first time staying here]. The beds were so hard, I didnt sleep the 2 nights I stayed. It felt like I was sleeping on a wooden board. The couch was more comfortable than the bed and thats where I slept. The lights were so dim we couldnt see much to get ready. There was no soap in the bathroom when arriving, so I had to go down to the front and ask. No bags in the trash cans. The TV in the living room of the suite wouldnt pick up reception for the channels, only one channel worked and wasnt fuzzy. Drinks were over priced and the vending machines were only ice machines. For what we paid for the room, I could have went somewhere actually enjoyable. We wont be back.

2022-02-01Wonderful little hotel with beautiful views of the falls from the suites. The restaurant and pool were fantastic, but what makes this hotel a five star review in my opinion is the front desk staff, especially whitney. She always goes above and beyond to make our stays perfect. A huge thank you to Sheraton suites.

2022-06-12The staff at the Sheraton Suites Akron Cuyahoga Falls was amazing! The hotel itself was great, and the location is top notch. While eating at the restaurant, you get a great view Cuyahoga River - it feels like you are on top of the waterfalls. The proximity to restaurants and shops is first class. There are multiple shops within a quarter-mile of the hotel. Highly recommend.

2021-12-12It was nice to visit my hometown and to be greeted by probably the friendliest hotel staff Ive ever met. They provide excellent room service (we only ever requested more towels or coffee packs), the bed was super comfortable, and the room was neat, clean, and organized upon our arrival. The views of the river were also stunning. They might be a few more dollars to stay here, but it is well worth it.

2022-02-15Very clean, staff super nice. The toilet was dirty though and my room had no shampoo or body wash which was unfortunate since I was staying due to work and didnt have time to go to the store before. Overall very good!

2022-05-20We arrived after a long trip for a 6 day stay. We were handed a sheet of paper - which we never read - saying no house keeping. While the reason of COVID sounds ok for less contact, when no staff are wearing masks let’s not fool ourselves. It’s because they can’t get staff. The lady who finally cleaned our room after many requests was such a darling. Thank you. It’s just sad the hotel can’t be honest about why they aren’t servicing the rooms and also don’t give a discount because they are saving on staff.Time to choose Air BNB! No room servicing there either

2022-04-01As a prior returning patron this experience is extremely disturbing. Will NOT return. This is not A 4/5 STAR hotel anymore as it once was.As I am well aware times have changed partons wandering around in lobby in there pjs and slippers is first clue. Rooms with broken TVs. No room service. Extremely out of date furniture peeling wallpaper old carpet I can go on and on.A front dest manager that uses excuses one after another of the good old we are short staffed line. My view is your not short staffed to pick up that phone to book that room and charge that CC of mine are you? Will not return
