This is an older rink. Its got a decent snack bar, clean bathrooms and a bar upstairs overlooking the two sheets of ice. Theres a skate rental and a small proshop. One side of the ice is much colder than the others so I recommend a pair of gloves and a warm coat. Overall not a bad rink.
We needed a place to ice skate on last minute notice yesterday. We came here, and they were wonderful. Service and customer care was on point, 100%. Everyone was friendly, and the ice was slick! Ive never been ice skating before, but if Im ever in town and want to go again, this is the place Id go first! Great job
Seating for watching games is horrible. They really need to either invest some money or Im guessing that they will be closed within 10 years. Definitely one of the worst hockey arenas Ive been to. Theres definitely worse out there but this is in the lower 10% that Ive been too.
This place is awful. With the exception of Tonya, Karen, and Tom there isnt a decent person running the place. The figure skating moms make it the most unwelcoming environment. If youre a hockey player, go somewhere else, at least there they dont treat you like a second class citizen. They take players money for drop in and tell you it ends at 12:00 and then theyll shut it down at 11:30 like they did last night. If management had it their way this would be a figure skating only venue.
I went for skating with 7 of my friends and we left a half hour in to it. We paid $12 for 2 hours of skating, pizza, and pop. They did not have skates large enough for my one friend so he paid the $12 and was going to sit on the bench and watch us skate. He was told that if he did not have skates, he had to leave the arena or they would kick him out. We were also told that we could not walk around the lobby in our tennis shoes. We HAD to wear our skates (I dont know about anyone else, but I feel like Im going to break my ankle when I walk in ice skates)! I could almost understand this if they were using it as a way to tell who paid and who didnt, but we were given wristbands to show that we had paid. I was very disappointed in the way that we were treated and the way that everything was handled, so we left after 30 minutes.
This place is a joke on Friday nights ..They have so called skate guards that worry about skating not about the kids getting shoved on purpose from there so called classmates .Officer Roche does nothing about fights .I was almost shoved down first time visiting here with a friend .Its Harding Bully Hang Out Place 😲😲😲😲😲Oh and FF made 30 mins up before serving ..Cold cold cold Like the place 😂😂😂😂

2020-12-29Not a bad rink, but definitely on the smaller size. The locker rooms, bench area, etc are too small for high school teams, but you can manage for a few games. We didnt interact with any staff, but the people running the games were great. They have temp checks and doing all the right things with the covid precautions. Were here for a few more days so hope all goes well and we can keep playing hockey and keep the kids off their phone or playing video games.

2016-10-14Best place to skate ever! DJ skate is so cheap, and lasts a good solid 2.5 hours, and its a really good and fun time to hang with your friends. Parents say that its fun for the kids, especially cuz of the DJ, and it really is.

2021-09-13Winterhurst was “the” place to skate until the city sold it and adult skating to music eliminated. Skating to music on the double rink was as close to skaters heaven as we will ever know. Please bring back the adult double rink skating to music sessions and the couple and trios skates. This tradition shouldn’t die. A plea from all the rink rats!!!

2022-03-11The cafe worker was very rude to me when I was ordering popcorn. He told me to “WAIT A FEW MINUTES LADY” and me and kids were shocked. It took 5 minutes for this rude worker to hand over the popcorn. I was thinking to myself what is he mad about? I will not be recommending the cafe food because it also tasted dry.

2022-03-16Ice is great, locker rooms are clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. One of the better rink experiences I have had.

2022-03-12Limited seating, just 3 levels of wooden bleachers on one side of the rink. It doesnt offer much of a view of the game. No other services were available when we were there (championship game of a tournament) such as concessions, etc.

2021-09-09My son said the ice was decent. The glass is very clear. Locker rooms are setup poorly. They are very small and ask of the rooms are on one side. People who are going out coming from the second ice arena need to walk right past the Zamboni door. Im the Zam is on the ice it creates a jam because to does block the path. Not well thought out. But the place is clean and there is a good viewing area upstairs.

2022-01-23Good place for hockey with two sheets of ice but not nearly enough parking space. Had to drive around the lot for ten minutes waiting for someone to leave.
