Select Auto has been taking care of our cars for almost 2 decades and charges a fair rate for excellent work. They are helpful at helping keep the cars in good shape with respect for our time and budget.
This shop is a blessing to women. They take the time to explain what has gone wrong and how it needs to go back together. As a non mechanical person, it is nice to feel that I am not being taken advantage of for just being a woman that only knows how to put gas in her car. I will definately be returning to this business from now on!

I hate unfair reviews like the one mentioned earlier. I know the person that left this review and they are trying to scam a good business by trying to leave a bad review in hopes of a free repair. Select auto repair in Xenia is a great honest business that does fabulous work.
They did amazing work on my car and my boyfriends 2 vehicles. Theyre friendly and cost is reasonable.
With todays economy most people would like to save money, get fair prices,be treated with respect, and get what they pay for. I feel that this repair service failed to provide me with these expectations for the following reasons: I was not given a form when I dropped off the car giving my permission to do the work, and agreeing to a cost greater than $25.Secondly, I was contacted by phone that the A/C repair would cost $1300. I declined the repair, and after two attempts to pick up the car, handed a bill that exceeded the $25. repair limit by 6imes that amount.Thirdly, when I disputed the amount I was threatened and I called the local police to help resolve it. These are the facts with my experience with this business. For some unknown reason, Google removed my last comments, so this is my second attempt at letting the people know my experience using Google s service.
Shady car place. I was told service would be $35, never received a car regarding the complexity or that the price would increase. Rodney extorted me by telling, “ if you don’t pay, I’ll file for your title”. The bill was $264. Normally, if things will cost more money, it’s a customary standard to contact you prior to doing work, he didn’t. Then he tried to insult my intelligence on the phone ( I’m a CPA). Select Auto is a piece of garbage, take your car done to JimHarworth on Detroit Street in Xenia or Fishers Diesel off of Patton street. Stay away from Rodney and Select Auto, they’ll try extort you to take your car!
Serviced the transmission on my sisters van, when she got home transmission fluid had sprayed all over the engine compartment. Rodney claimed it was engine coolant (obviously wasnt). Charged an additional $300 to fix his mistake.
A blessing,you got to be kidding! I guarantee that they put it to you good. Im sure he thanked the Lord when you came into his establishment, especially not knowing anything about automotive repair. This establishment is over priced, does shoddy work, and charges for services that werent needed or they didnt even do. BOTTOM LINE, this shop needs to be investigated by the States Attorney General for its business practices and shut down.
They did a great job on my car in a timely manner. They did exactly what I needed some and only that! Witch was very nice! They were very nice Also!
Has the technology to diagnose. My vehicles have always been fixed properly, Ive never had to return for the same problem. Always fixed right the first time.
The workers are very nice and take the time to explain everything to you. Prices are fair and any questions are always answered! Really great repair shop.

Took it in because car was pulling to the left they convinced me I needed to change my calipers for 800 bucks didnt call me when the job was done and my car still pulls to the left

2022-05-12Just finished my first time getting work done on my car here. So far Rodney and his crew are 1/1 on great service. For my air conditioning fixed in less than a day despite the lot being full of cars. I dont really know anything about cars but he seemed to explain to me step by step what he did so it seems like that is a way of being transparent and making sure I know exactly what Im paying for. Ill be back next time my car needs work.

2022-04-04They drained oil from the car, but never put oil back in the car! Good thing we caught the issue before the engine blew up. Good job on the things you had to fix, but you just cant forget the oil or your work will be for no reason.

2022-07-28They did good work on my engine from everything I can tell, but do not let these people near your brakes. His only solution to any problem appears to be replace everything with the cheapest parts I can find at the highest rate I think theyll pay. That lesson cost me well over $500.

2020-12-15I wish the owner could be more patient and on time. If you are the one who has questions when you take your car in for a repair/check, I would suggest you think twice. Did a pre-purchase inspection, its very vague from the report what has been inspected or not. No list of inspected things. Only one or two lines telling me what I need to change. Not as professional as other shops I had been before. Also, told me they were going to call me back to give me estimate about the parts cost. Never got a call from them after I paid them.

2017-12-09I have used Select Auto Repair since moving to Xenia more than a decade ago. They are, by far, the best auto repair shop i have ever used. Great work at fair prices. Disregard the negative post. I have had many dealings with Select Auto and they are top shelf.

2017-10-27Good place to get repairs. Always Informative. Some of the best repair prices in the area. Never had to come back to fix a recurring problem. I trusted this place to fix the 5 vehicles I ever owned. No problems, great service. All you ever wanted out of a mechanic.
