Scramblers in other cities:
We loooove Marie Scramblers in Columbus. So when we saw that there was one on our way up to Cleveland, we decided to stop here. The people are sweet and our waitress seemed knowledgeable. But it was super slow service. My husband had to send his food back to be remade. Drinks were not refilled. My youngest daughter loved her smiley face pancake. For the price and time it wasnt worth it. They need to learn how to manage this place from the ones who manage the one in Columbus.
We have gone here a couple times and each time it was pretty crowded so they must get return customers. On my last visit service getting coffee water and food was quick. The tables was spotlessly clean. I had their version of eggs Benedict called the Benny. It was excellent properly cooked and hot. The little difference I noticed was grilled shaved ham instead of Canadian bacon. I will return again.
I don’t know how this place has so many positive reviews. This place was filthy! From the glasses, to the silverware and even the plates that our food was served on. Our server, Krista was terrible to us. Every-time we asked for something she acted like we were a burden to her, we had to ask multiple times for drinks, napkins, and straws. At one point a member in my party had to actually get up himself and ask another server who was friendly for a straw. It’s unfortunate because I thought this would’ve been a good breakfast spot, sadly this isn’t the case. Between our server and the restaurant it was overall a bad experience.
My mom and I came here for the first time. The waitress asked if we preferred a table or booth, we said booth. We were seated at one that hadnt been cleaned yet (the table had hair and crumbs on it). When we asked for it to be cleaned, the waitress kind of stared at us in disbelief before going to get the cleaning supplies.Ordered fresh fruit (definitely was not fresh and it was questionable whether it had been washed or not), my mom ordered a glass of milk and she was given warm milk. Our water pitcher was never refilled. The service was not good at all. From anyone. Our waitress seemed to be annoyed with us from the very start. The food was good, but I probably will not come here again.
A slightly more expensive diner with a more upscale/creative menu. Pricing is 1-4$ more per entree than a Dennys or Perkins. They specialize is breakfast and only serve bfast, brunch, and lunch. I went for breakfast. The serving staff was nice and accommodated substitutions. The bacon is thick cut and delicious but make sure to order it crispy, they undercook it a little too much for my liking. The potato chunks would have been better if fried. If you are just looking for a classic american breakfast Id say stick with Perkins, if you want something upscale/creative give them a shot.
Been here twice in 2 weeks. I like this place better than First Watch. Portions are generous, prices fair, huge menu of unique breakfast options, fast and friendly service. I always tip well here because I am so satisfied with my servers. Both my friends really liked the crab cake breakfast they had too!
Very poor service. Waited 10 minutes for a coffee cup after she delivered the coffee. Waited another 8 minutes after asking for sugar for my coffee. Waitress never came to refill our drinks. And some person never got their toast because it was delivered to our table. Then the waitress looked at us like we were the bad person when she got a small tip. GOOD SERVICE GETS GOOD TIPS.
We went for mothers day for brunch. I called ahead to ensure they could seat our family since we have a larger family and was told they in fact did have seating available for us. We arrived approximately 10 min later and were not only greeted with rude looks by multiple staff members by the number of children we had, we also waited for the table that was supposed to be available for over 20 min before leaving to go elsewhere. The entire time we waited we felt very uncomfortable with the constant stares by staff members. So much for happy mothers day!
Terrible. Got seated at a dirty table. Got served dirty glasses for our water that had lemons in it when we specifically asked for no lemons. They would not give me a high chair for my 2 year old. And the waitress was so unpleasant it was disturbing. Once we finally got to place our order, I got up and cancelled it and we left. TERRIBLE service! Will NEVER go back! Didnt even get to try the food and dont care either. You dont give people attitude when they ask you a question about an item on the menu. Especially new customers!
One of my favorite restaurants in town! The pancakes are thick, fluffy, and filling, although they also offer bottomless plates too :) This is a great place for families! The prices are excellent and the service is friendly. The atmosphere is cozy and bright. It is often not packed but moderately busy, I have never had to wait to be seated, even when I am in a large party.
The corned beef hash looks and smells like cat food. The corned beef was mushy and looked like someone chewed it up and spit it on my plate. The potatoes were cut so tiny I almost couldn’t tell they were in there. What a soppy / wet gross mess. This is not corned beef hash, they should be ashamed to serve people something like this.
The food is good except prices are high on some meals. I gave it 3.5 stars. My parents had the pancakes and they the size of the dinner plate. I had hamburger and fries... hamburger was good but they were skimpy of the portion of fries. The water glasses smelled fishy and grossed me out. They said it was from the detergent. I never had detergent smell like that...only when the water was at its dirtiest. The waitress was real nice. The tables were clean. Not very busy at 11 am.
Fantastic food for breakfast. Creative and healthy options on the menu. All the food seems truly homemade. The portions are huge and reasonably priced for the quality and serving sizes. Very popular on weekends, the service occasionally is a bit slow. Several times had to sit and wait on check and the waitress to cash me out (one in particular talks to her regulars too much). But the food is always served in a timely fashion and piping hot.
Ive been wanting to visit this place for years. I finally made it and yikes. The glasses smelled funny so I asked for to go cups. I asked waitress if she recommended anything she had 2 items. Had no suggestions of a popular dish. They have 1 soup I asked how was it response I dont like pumpkin so not sure. My food came half burnt , my son 3hotcakes came with 1 butter no syrup. Had to ask 2x for hot chocolate. I didnt get charged for meal or hot chocolate and got a free meal coupon but I wont return needless to say I can see why they only had 5 other tables
We ordered breakfast from Scramblers for our company holiday party. The food and prices were great, and they even included all plates, napkins, utensils, and serving spoons. The manager (Brandon) was professional and helpful. He took time to explain all the catering options and help us decide what would be best for our large group. The customer service we were shown was fantastic and we will definitely be ordering again. They were great with confirming our order and making sure it was ready for pickup. Would recommend to friends and family.
Slightly above average food. Staff was bickering which ruins any meal. Our waitress brought my breakfast out with a half empty plate and then complained about the cooks not knowing what theyre doing. She shouldve waited for the corrected plate and my husbands food. Not a great experience.
Me and my wife asked for a table for two. Hostess wrote our name on a different page from the main list. They skip us and a couple goes ahead ,even though we were there 15 minutes before them. We finally got seated and they brought coffee out. Took a while to order, but after ordering we waited an hour and a half and our food never came. Waitress never came back in that amount of time to check on us. We canceled our order walked out. Never approached by a manager. The couple we were skipped over ate and left before we finally gave up. Terrible service. Great way to start 2019 .... Horrible experience.
I usually pick up my food, I love this place, They are fast - friendly and very accommodating. I have always got exactly what I ordered at a great price for the amount of food you receive. I am a regular here due to over all cleanliness and great service. Recommend anyone to frequent! 5 stars
I come here all the time and have never had a problem or a complaint. They’re very consistent and that’s one thing I love about the place. Today I had a to go order, and there was a mistake on the order and they had to re make it. I wasn’t even upset I just sat down for maybe 5 minutes, they had it out quick. For the mistake, they gave me a coupon for next time I come back. I didn’t ask for one, or even complain at all. Mistakes happen, we’re all human. To get a coupon without me Complaining at all just shows they care. Great customer service and the food is just as good.
The last couple times Ive been to Scramblers Ive been very pleased. The food is very good, and the staff is very nice. I appreciate that they put an entire pot of coffee at everyones table, as someone who drinks a lot of coffee, it is a nice thing that they do. There can be quite the wait sometimes because its so popular, but sometimes we get seated right away.
This is the last time I will be at a Scrambler Maries. The service was absolutely a nightmare. Our waitress was rude and inattentive. She came to our table once to get our orders and then to give the check. She put about 15 mugs on our table although we only had 7 people. She seemed very rushed and seemed annoyed when we asked questions about the menu. The silverware and some of the mugs were dirty and we had to ask for clean ones. The food was mediocre at best. Nothing tasted fresh. She never cleared any of the dishes on the table although we were at a table smaller for our party and were very cramped. At the end of our visit, one person in our party called the waitress out on being rude and her response was not an Im sorry but rather a thank you with a smirk. Will never come here again, and would warn all others against it.
I’ve been 3 times now, hoping for a better experience. Sadly, didn’t happen. I don’t think they have swept the floor in a year, it’s disgusting. Not to mention the water pitchers and glasses that look legitimately filthy. The food has no real taste and is over priced. Can’t give you a single reason to give this place money.
Went there to take advantage of their free birthday meal mailer, service was great! Ordered burger and fries (I know, an oddity for a place that known for breakfasts) and was not disappointed! Proportions were great, the fries were extra crispy, an excellent experience. Would definitely recommend!!!
I’ve got to agree with most other reviewers here. The food and quality is far below average. The food needs cooked. Cooked all the way. Many things come out and it’s barely warm. The home fries. The omelette was borderline under cooked. He bacon also rubbery and limp.
Our food was excellent, so delicious. I was a little nervous trying something new like their crab cake eggs benedict, but it was surprisingly delicious. Also my daughters turkey breakfast sandwich was very good. We usually have had good experiences here at Scrambler Maries in North Olmsted OH.
The food is always good. Prices are a little bit high but they give you a lot of food. Mini skillets are a great size for smaller appetites. Have had mixed reviews about the service in the 4 times I have been there. Ranging from great to slow. Overall I would go back.
This place reminds me of Dennys if it upgraded to the next level. Lots of healthy options. And the servers are on their game. My family puts them through their paces, and they are always in good spirits. Food comes out of the kitchen in good order. Keep up the good work Scrambler peeps.
It was dissapointing!!!No one at the podium when we walked in, while other employees stared at us just standing there waiting to be seated. We didnt wait long...it was just unprofessional. It took longer than expected to place our order, and when it arrived the sides were missing. My wife and I finished our meals by the time we got our breakfast hash browns. I had ordered mine well done and they did not come out to order, on top of being late. Neither of us ate them... We waited (upset) for the bill; till we decided to go to the register, and just pay for our food by forcing someone to tend to us.I paid the total amount due for our meals with no tip, and didnt bother complaining. No one seemed to be overly concerned, so why bother. I also didnt want to seem like I was trying to get something for free, or some type of discount. The food was ok...the service was sub-par! I most likely will not be returning. It is also note worthy to mention that the restaurant wasnt busy, and that it was less than half full.
The food is good and the service is good. The restroom facilities are really bad. when I needed to use the restroom I discovered that that the one stall in the mens room was occupied by a guy who was playing video games on his smartphone and was not about to give up the stall. The so-called manager dealt with the problem by attempting to discredit the problem rather than deal with it.
One of the worst places Ive eaten in a long time. My burger was fine but they ran out of French fries. My moms pouched egg came out hardboiled. We waited 10 minutes before we got greeted at the front. Then 10 minutes before we got our drinks. We didnt get silverware until after our food got there. I never got a refill. Dont eat here.
Why doesnt this place check its reviews? I understand that the staff could care less, but the owner should be making major changes. The staff is so worried about there next smoke break they could give a crap less about you the customer!! The good news is if you are like me and know this place is terrible, again check the reviews it will not be there long. With God awful wait times, service, and food really its a matter of time before they are OOB!! Out of business if your one of the morons who work there and do not understand!! Its truely sad that the company is ran so poorly. Its tough to find a good breakfast at a fair price and this place is definitely not it. I will keep looking while in the area for business.
If you value your time DO NOT COME HERE. Absolute terrible service. Besides the obvious hygiene issues, and the dirty silverware and cups, the place stunk with An awful egg smell. After waiting for the table to be cleaned one spoon at a time, we were seated. Then We waited for 20 minutes while servers pretended we do not exist, the hostess tried her best not to look our way for some reason. Beyond disrespectful.Save yourself the misery and make some scrambled eggs at home.
I always order my hash browns extra crispy because restaurants have a tendency to undercooked the potatoes. When I received them, barely a color to them and lukewarm at best. I asked the server to recook them and to keep the rest of my meal warm. She told me that she would reheat it in the microwave. What I ordered would not bode well in a microwave. While waiting for the hash browns, the bus boy came by to grab the original plate. I wanted to keep it. But I had seen him grab other dirty dishes with those bare hands and I was disgusted when he handed me back my plate. I could only eat a few more bites and pushed the remainder aside. I will not be returning to this establishment.
My wife and I together with 4-5 other people breakfast out slot. Scramblers is a restaurant that continues to make this fun and interesting. Their menu covers the breakfast and lunch options giving you the flexibility to pick from a wide selection of foods. They have just brought back a collection of seasonal choices for Fall. Give it a try and enjoy!
Used to be better. Recently revamped menu removed some of the plates I preferred. Food is usually good, though occasionally, an order gets messed up.We always seem to have a good server, though others I know who visit dont always have the best experience.Only open for breakfast and lunch.
I love there menus but service sucks! Ive only visited twice but found many flaws as I was a server for a breakfast spot in Strongsville for many years. I asked a server for silverware and she told me she would tell my server. She never did. I understand the whole tip thing clearly but customers dont care who gets them a spoon to stir there coffee, they just want a spoon before there meals come. Not too much to ask. I got up to get it my self and then had servers talked about it the whole time. As a server i always got requested thing for tables other then mine. It comes full circle in the service industry trust me! Also, you should never seat guest with out silverware.
It was very cramped. My boyfriend had to get up to let a man out of his seat to leave because there was no extra space. It was as if they cared more about having as much seating as possible without caring how uncomfortably tight it would be for customers. The food wasnt great neither and we only saw the waitress twice. She never asked how our food was. And someone else dropped the check off literally a minute after we got our food which made us feel rushed.
Sorry but at 10:00 am food should be fresh!I had the potato chunks and they were old and cold! The bacon was served the same way, OLD AND COLD.When mentioned to server she laughed and walked away. Came back 10 minutes later with the check! Hahahaha never going back.Oh the eggs were good.
Would not recommend or go back to. The service was bad and slow, the food was not that great and their pricing was kinda high for breakfast. Only positive was they do give a lot of food for the money (not that it is good) and bring out a craft of coffee so no waiting on a refill.
I love the chain. I started going in Perrysburg, Oh. The food is usually hit or miss. The french toast, pancakes, and Waffles are all good but when you venture from there, the food is either amazing or bland. Im disappointed this location doesnt offer the gourmet coffee flavors that the chain is supposed to, the other locations have a great Mackinac Island blend, and Im disappointed theres no outdoor seating but that comes with being in sshopping center.
Zero would be better...as many people say, service is horrible and its the backbone of any business. First time for breakfast I waited like 25 min for poached eggs where I ordered the sauce on the side. They got it wrong, so like another 20. Rediculous....second time, we didnt get drinks forever, my food was so bad I could not eat it, had a sour/expired taste but no one came around ever to check on us so I could order something else Stay away. They dont care either and pricey
The food is good every time I go. But something always happens when I go. First time the waitress messed up our cheeks, the second time we were asked to move to new seating in the back corner of the building because of a big party they forgot was coming in. We had to keep our jackets on because it was so cold....
Place is nice and comforting, but the food doesnt really wow me. Other locations are great, just disappointed this one falls short. Food doesnt stay hot long and the service needs to improve and be more involved with the customers rather than sometimes coming by to check on how everything is going
Horrible!!!!! I took my boys for late lunch and wish I didnt. .the potato squares had such a strong odor of freezer burn. Omlet had to have everything else but eggs. So dry and spongy. Way to much baking powder that sticks to your palette. Omlet it self was probably 1/10 super thin. Pancakes dry and chewy. My 5 yo asked mom how did they take all the flavor from grill cheese sandwich. Its tasteless?? Only thing that was some what ok were the fries. Not sure how they stay in business. On top of it all when we walked in we were told they are closing in 40 min so we need to hurry up.As we walked out my 17yo said, ok mom can we go get some real food now..
Five stars arent enough... need more stars.I have NEVER had such a fantastic dining experience... I mean every aspect was awesome...The server smiled the prettiest and most genuine smile Ive ever seen when I walked in. She honestly must be a very happy person because she didnt half smile or fake it once the whole time I was there which tells me that she must actually enjoy being there, which helps me enjoy being there.I got coffee and water... And dude... whoever thought of the whole, give the customer a huge bottle to refill water and coffee idea is a genius and should be given an Island to rule over.I ordered the crab Benny or whatever its called and WOW. That cook was an artist. I seriously didnt even want to cut my food and eat it. I sat shaking my head in a state of disbelief. I wasnt expecting such a good experience so I was really blown away each little step of the way.Kelsey, my server, was on top of her duties like she was programmed specifically to wait on me. It was insane. She probably would have poured my drinks for me if Id asked. At one point another server was bringing so much food out to a table she needed help from someone in a black shirt... I dont know if he was a cook or just kitchen staff but even that dude was smiling and made sure to wave at a super cute baby nearby. What on earth are they giving these people to be so happy? Even if theyre paying them 100$ they still deserve more.I ate the delicious meal and was actually full, which I wasnt expecting because it didnt seem like much food, really but Im a bigger dude and like big plates.Again I was met with a smile, along with my check. I had to ask for a manager because theres no excuse to enjoy such a fine thing without letting the person in charge know what a fine job their staff is doing. As much as Im focusing on Kelseys performance I should also comment on the rest of the staff... they all seemed genuinely happy... Like I was in some weird 50s tv show or in a version of the Truman show.I asked for the manager and shortly after, i met Brent.I had to tell him what a fantastic job Kelsey and the chef had done. I also wanted him to know that HE must be a really good manager to have such a happy and hard-working staff. He explained that he had only been managing this store for a short time and I had to thank him for the effort he must be putting in.I almost wanted to apply to work there because I want to be as happy as Kelsey and Brent are but a smile doesnt look quite as good pasted on my face, as much as it does on theirs.Anyways, in my opinion the whole staff should be rewarded greatly and Kelsey should be paid her weight in gold... no, make it MY weight in gold. Not only will I be frequenting this establishment but I am going to make it my duty to make sure everybody I know knows just how awesome eating at Scramblers is.Seriously, GO TO SCRAMBLERS. Ask for Kelsey (Im sure theyre all great but this girl seriously has the nicest smile Ive ever seen). Try one of the Bennys.Tip Kelsey a million dollars.Shake Brents hand. And then become a regular like Im going to and Ill see you up there next Thursday at 8AM.
Terrible. Dont waste your time. Worst service I have ever seen. Took over 15 minutes and asking twice for us to get our drinks. Wrong drink was brought to the table. Food order was wrong. Multiple times a hot plate came out and we were asked if it was ours. Didnt get Silverware until after we got our plates.

2022-01-29As the only breakfast restaurant that I know about in this area, it automatically gets a few stars! The menu has a great variety, they seem to take COVID precautions pretty seriously, and the servers were quite friendly and prompt.

2022-04-29We went as a party of four plus a toddler. The wait staff was excellent. However, I had to wait beyond everyone else to get my omelet and then it was overcooked. The eggs on another order were missing and had to be asked for and were then brought even later.

2022-04-17The meal was okay, but care should be exercised. The hash browns were cold below room temperature. Overdone crispy (burnt and dried out). The portions were acceptable, but the price point missed the mark for what was served. Maybe your meal might be better?! Easter morning was a miss for our visit.
