I spotted this place on the way into Columbus. If your a trucker this is a great little place to rest or even just get a bite and a bet. In the back there is a large quite dirt parking lot for the 18 wheelers. Hotel if your trying to get a shower and a bed. Food is above average… I recommend the pizza. There is diesel across the street. Large bars huge TVs. Place is also very clean. Only down side only slots, racing, sports bets that’s it no card or table games!!!!
This was my first trip here usually we go to Hollywood casino. I found the casino to be clean with a good selection of slot machines also I noticed it was a good deal smaller than Hollywood, which was a good thing because none of our cell phones worked and half our time was spent walking around looking for each other. I have been told that the slots were a lot looser here but everyone in our party lost all their money so I dispute that. Since husband mostly plays table games when he can get to them ( seems to be rare) we will probably not go back there again.
Nice little casino with some updated machines and some older machines has a little bit of a Vegas feel to it bar food court restaurant.
Yesterday I visited the casino with my daughter and her Family . Long time since I had been there because of the covid. Used to go a lot . I tried to get a new card . Since I had let my license expire because I am 90 I was unable to get one . I have not gotten a state ID because I didnt think I would ever need one again . The hospital used my expired license. including the new Dr that I went to . It has my picture on it . I just want to know is this being reasonable? My Grandson was with me and they seem to be talking to him instead of looking at me . I know you probably think I would not understand what they were saying . But maybe some OLD people but not me . I still do all my banking , house bills and everything else pertaining to existing. Please take me seriously and give me a good reason for me needing a new license.to get one of your cards. Isnt it true that people without a license can vote or it is trying to be passed?
I wasnt even much into casinos before coming here, and while I had a time previously at places like the MGM Grand in Detroit, Scioto Downs is my kind of casino. Laid back but still with all the glitz and glamor of a big time casino. Friendly staff, tasty and AFFORDABLE beer and cocktails ($4-$7) at the bar, the restaurant/brewery attached was excellent, and a great selection of slots. What more do you need? Head on down to Scioto Downs!!!
Why does Columbus Ohio have two casinos that are within 20 minutes apart. Theyre all the same except the decor is different. I prefer the Hollywood casino over scioto Downs. There is always some extent in the air as you walk in it smells like a constant air freshener. Its too small and too busy

If your debit card doesnt have a chip you can not use the ATM but the employees at Guest Services were so helpful. The casino was filled with so many different slot games to choose from. There were complimentary beverage stations with coffee and coke products. The womens bathroom was definitely needing some attention but otherwise it was clean in the casino.
We were a pretty lucky pair, but not as much since Caesars took over. Additionally, lots of empty promises of amenities from the hosts for the last year and a half.I was just shy of getting the hisghest tier status last year, but then and now never even had a host assigned to me. They gave me their numbers, but never responded to any contact...like they said they would. The only time I got to talk to them about concerns was if I wait an hour in line at their office doors.I go there once a week, but since i do not go more often, this leaves me unable to rack up the points for them to take me seriously as a patron.Not surprised that the great roman empire fell...after my experience with Caesars Scioto downs.
Very disappointed. We have been going here a handful of times each year since it opened, and we were very disappointed this time. The buffet was closed and the pizza was inedible. The machines were also a disappointment. I had to play 5 different machines before I found one with sound. Most machines had broken peices. Very underwhelmed!
Me and my boyfriend has been coming in there over three years sometimes four times a week the service has been dropping compared to what it was the big pot drawings We Believe are rigged or catered to certain individuals because every drawing you hear the same names which dont give the under dog any benefits to win any extra drawings or free play in fact the drawing on Friday 6/ 10 as we are playing by the stage and we overheard the host tell an individual that hell make sure she wins and 30 minutes later she is winning a pot over $8,000 the final drawing of the night if that dont sound rigged or conveniently catered to certain individuals I dont know what would its be when the odds are very high that her name would be picked out of the 1000s of enters. my boyfriend spends anywhere from $1,500 to $2,000 a week and hes never won a pot over $1,000 or a hand pay so the biometrics in your guyss system has to be rigged even though they claim its not its just weird that we come in there for over 3 years and hes never won a large prize.
Facility is nice lots of games the smoking patio areas are nice as well. 3 stars because I never seem to win here and the semi parking has craters which need to be filled in with gravel
This casino plays terrible music - loudly. Ive ever heard a good band here either. I hear them announcing winners pretty often, but ya know I dont ever see anyone win big near me.

Fun place to put slots. They have a lot of variety and denominations to choose from. Plus there is harness racing and thats a fun time in itself.
Was a pretty decent place until shift manager More started harassing me every time I go in now. One day I was recording with my mother on a Thursday my slot play, even told slot attendants and the cage staff I was recording my play all day no-one told me I couldnt. So I go back the following week and 3 machines in Im approached by this really mean blonde lady demanding me to stop recording, explained that I was not told by anyone that I couldnt the previous week made an excuse that the staff I spoke with didnt know the policies. (in Ohio it is legal to record as long as there is not a general expectation of privacy.) She claimed it was private property, she probably most likely meant it is privately owned, big difference in the two, anyways I asked to see a copy of their written policy that said I cannot record, it doesnt exist according to the Ohio Casino Commission the racinos as they are referred as are supposedly required to follow all state and federal laws. She then threatened to call the cops on me simply because I asked to see a written policy that doesnt exist, 3 other staff also looked for around an hour for this policy but no one could find it. She claimed it was due to a contract with the slot manufacturers whom I contacted and stated no agreement exists. So after I get information back from the OCC and OVLT I go back in again to record since the policy doesnt exist and was confirmed it doesnt exist then immediately when I enter she follows me around and as I sit down at my first game about 5 spins in security comes up to me and tells me to stop recording again, then she comes up to me and I change that I was in contact with OCC and OVLT and explain everything, then rudely she writes on a paper DO NOT RECORD game play. Taking pictures of wins is fine. ~Shift Manager More and tosses it in my face and said hows that for written I simply stated it doesnt make it public facing and her response was it never will be. She is one of the most unfriendly humans I have ever met in my entire life.Lackluster responses like the one below is another reason that this place is bad. Did not address any of the concerns I raised or apologized for her hateful behavior towards me. Just another reason to find somewhere else where the staff is friendly and have actual public human communication skills. Not just state we indeed have a policy that isnt publicly explicitly posted anywhere.
You hear a lot of slot machines but you dont hear a lot of bells you dont hear a lot of jackpots usually its pretty busy its nice and clean its not as spaced out as Hollywood between games but they have a lot more choices they got really big outdoor areas where you can drink they have full service bars and smoke. cigarettes of course
We were there just to waste a couple hours. We didnt see any card tables, so we just played slots. Plenty of fun ones to choose from. Place was very clean. Would like to go back sometime to stay at hotel and try the restaurants.
Thursday night was really good. Missed the horse races but did well on the slots. They must have had them opened up some!!
First, the food at Brew Brothers was shockingly good, came in large portions and the bill was so low we double-checked to make sure it was correct! Service was excellent! We will be back for that alone?! The Casino is huge after the expansion especially. It has ample parking and machines and is spotless both on the floor, at the bars and in the restrooms. A great place for some easy and relaxed fun at the machines or listening to live music.
Overall, good experience. I didnt have any luck. Seemed a little tight, but everyone around me was winning. So maybe it was just me. Clean friendly environment.

We went at The Grove Buffet for the unlimited snow crabs! It was amazing comparing to other buffet that serves snow crabs, I love how they cook/steam their snow crabs, meat is tender and its like fresh and steamed right away, worth every penny, I was expecting though more main course variety but its pretty decent, I love the mussels, sausage and corn I just wish they have this seafood broil sauce. Their dessert section has a lot of variety. The staff are hardworking, friendly and very accommodating I will definitely go back again.
The employees there are very cordial to me.Security is right on top of everything.I enjoy spending my time here.I do wish my name would be called for one of the drawings.The NYE’s meal was awesome and I was treated so kindly.Thank you.I’m a Diamond Elite and sign up for all drawings and have not succeeded yet.So hopeful one day I will hear my name called over the intercom.
2nd Friday of every month they have karaoke. Some of the singers are really good and some of the people who get up and dance are.....entertaining. Every Friday night they have all you can eat crab leg buffet. Veterans get $3 off with id.
It has become a joke since it was taken over by Caesars. You could win a little something before Caesars. Now you dont see anyone winning. Yes its a gamble on winning but when you can walk around and hear people complaining and threatening to never return to Scioto Downs then you no something isnt right. The games dont pay what they use to. Not even close. They have taken everyones free play, and dinning credits. Its awful because they were my favorite place to go gambling. Im going to start going to Hollywood. Ive also met many people that has decided to go to Hollywood instead of Scioto Downs. I mean as much money as they take in they could pay a little more out. I think there suppose to be paying so much out in winning but Im gonna say theres no way there doing what is suppose to be done. I dont understand why they would rather loose the business over being so tight. We use to really enjoy going there a few times a week but theyve lost 2 people that I know of and theres many more I just want put them in my words Ill let them speak freely if they choose to waste there time.

If you had asked me to rate this place 4 years ago, I would had rate a 5 star rating. Their bathrooms are dirty and changing the hand dryers to paper towels was a bad decision. Especially during the pandemic.
Ive stayed away from Scioto Downs for a few months. Thought ide give it a another try. Wow did the best Ive ever done there. Went in with $40 went home with $500 it was a good night. Everything was hitting.
Love this place... but as a truck driver it is a shame to see that they cant keep the truck parking pot holes filled.... I love stopping and getting a bit of relief but as of this afternoon they are really letting it go... it is a shame... someone is going to tip over in these pot holes... hope they care enough to fix this sometime soon... not like the money isnt there to get some gravel
Made use of the oversized parking at North entrance off US23 . Didnt come in because it poured rain and lot was muddy , could use some gravel, Hope to come in and get acquainted in the near future.Robert Grindstaff

Guy at the door was rude, waited 10 minutes for him to get someone to “verify” my perfectly legitimate id I just received a month ago. Got tired of waiting and left. Ruined my 21st birthday, will not give this establishment a dime.Edit: That doesn’t excuse the long wait. On a busy Saturday night there should be more than one person at the door. Customer service was also horrible. I’ll go to Hollywood before I ever give scioto downs a dime even though it’s 5 minutes away.

It has truck parking in the dirt which is a plus. Got a hotel room and checked out the casino which was very nice. Had fire roasted pizza which was amazing.
Opening day was great. It was a good time.
All slots,hardly ever have free drinks working, dont update games,some people cleaning watching you as youre in bonus, annoying. Not a fun place to gamble. Decent music on certain days,but that wont bring me back. You just cant win much here. From my experience.
Clean and organized staff were laid back and courteous this was my first time ever going to a casino and I the laid back atmosphere was nice also very co to see a smoking section with games and seating areas very cool experience and probably will again

The buffet is clean and organized the atmosphere is happy. The service is great. I love the pizza bar the brick oven is great.the price is a little high however you get what you pay for. Very clean and well stocked. I will be back and treat myself to a great experience.
Staff is courteous. Beth the bartender is amazing and always knows our favorite libations. My friend and I go weekly, we both are Diamond and Diamond Plus however we have never been approached by a host, we travel to Las Vegas 2 or 3 times a year and feel a bit slighted. I would also like to see some video poker machines and slot tournaments. See you next week.
As of May 15th the grandstands were closed. The restaurant inside was open and has good food you can make your bets there and watch the races from inside. Nice views, TVs to watch and machines or tellers will process your bets.15 races on Friday. You can check betting options online. $2 minimum for most bets.Buy a program for $3 outside of the clubhouse so that you can read horse and rider stats and make your best bets. Drivers make a big difference, and Brett Miller won a lot of races.For horse racing everything revolves around the clubhouse. Free soft drinks! Can purchase alcohol at bars. You can keep your restaurant table and make bets all night...no expectation to leave. Last race at 11pm, first one at 6:15pm.They currently have outdoor seating in front of the grandstands, right at the finish line.

Never win here , must be my luck, but they only have slots and no table games unfortunately. Lots of empty cups and drinks at the slot tables .
The machines are tight and you wait forever for service when they run out of paper or break in some way. It used to be so much better.
This place was clean. Staff was easy to be found, friendly, and helpful! While most casinos featuring slots have new games w/a $5+ maximum bet ON PENNY MACHINES, Scioto had a lot of old school games. Payout was decent, we walked out w/money! Definitely worth stopping in!

I love this place. I and my friends meet there and play the slots and socialize drinking the coffee and just having a good time while doing so. There is never any drama and all the patrons are friendly. I have even came after work and even tho it is of total class they still let me in. I would recommend this place to my family and friends as a safe and clean escape from the hectic.
Nice slot selection but no table games. Im the youngest person in there whenever I go and Im 42. Lots of money to be won and lost. Dont expect to win big if your betting under 2 bucks a spin.
Since they are now Caesars its not the same. You do not get as much play time for your money. Payouts are not that great.It was way better when it was just Scioto Downs.
If Scioto Downs were still just that, instead of being bought out once again from companies whose only interest is making as large as profit as possible. The initial Scioto you could win at 20, 30 and 40 cents. There was always huge crowds most nights and especially on weekends. Everyone had a chance to win money when special events were ran. Now the only ones who get to be entered into the special events are the big spenders. Most machines are a minimum of 50 cent bet and more to start with. Youve left a lot of small time betters out in the cold. Ive heard we want the experience to be like Las Vegas. Well were not in Las Vegas baby and never will be. The weekends the crowds are minimal , when an event is over the people have left, its suppose to be entertaining but how entertaining can it be if people arent winning unless you bet big and if you are lucky enough to hit, obviously not all of us can do that. You cant even keep the coffee or sugar and creamers full. I still go to Scioto, but not as often as i would if I could win at smaller bet amounts. The more you allow people to win some, even tho Ive been told The House has the advantage, the bigger your crowds would be. But that hasnt been figured out yet.
Very clean, very kind service and very respectful. Parking is free but frustrating because of property blocking entrance. (Hard not to hit people and cars in most situations.) BE CAREFUL! Also come with your own wheelchair they car not offering the rental at this time. CALL AHEAD to make sure there are any available. Lastly I had good family Fun! I won some money as well!
Great atmosphere great staff, I love the new slots thats came in recently! I have fun every time I come if I win or loose some. Mother always said, you cant win them all honey! So always a great time!!! When I need a get a way from life this is where I come! We live an hour away but its worth the trip! I havent yet won the big jack stack pot but its coming!!!! Not very good. Slots are way to tight. More like a money dump. Its not about the winning. Its about having a good time. If all you are doing is feeding the machine and not getting anything in return Its not a good time. When playing max and getting pennies in return for the occasional line pay and not seeing anyone getting bonuses there is a major problem. They have a recording that will play every half hour that claims a jackpot winner but you never see anyone getting paid. It sounds like a scam. Would not recommend this place and will not ever return to it. Just my opinion.
I recently started working there and never thought I end working under the roof of a casino. I work as a hostess at Brew Brothers. Its not as easy one would think. The food is good and the employees are very nice. So if you never been you should check out.

I do not believe, but they care about the people who come in. They offer a free gift on certain days. And you have to earn 150 points. In order to get them points you have to spend somewhere around 400 to $500. Not sure how that gift is free. I personally am no longer going to go to this place. To me when you say free it is free and it doesnt cost a dime.
I love it here if your smart about it you can stay ahead Im here more than my house been coming here for years they basically give me a whole other paycheck every week

I love it there. Until recently you could never find and ATM or voucher kiosk anywhere but as of last week its no loner an issue. The staff is usually nice and games are kept somewhat well. Its a great place to try and not go broke at. It seems money is won if you know what to play.

The lady in the photo described herself as the supervisor of the cage I had not requested a supervisor so when she was trying to explain whatever it was that she wanted to explain to me I told her no thank you I just want to transact my business get my $200 and go. She took offense to that and told me that I was being rude and she wanted to take down my name. As I was surprised I asked her what I had done that bothered her? I didn’t want to be forced to listen to what she had to say true. She said she was going to get a manager and I said oh please do because now my money was being held hostage they would not allow the cashier to give me my money until after security showed up and I started recorded. I asked numerous times, “May I have my money?” I hadn’t done anything wrong except exert the fact that I did not want to stand there and listen to what she had to say there was no need. What she was explaining was not pertinent to me getting my transaction taken care of and when she brought the gentleman out the one that you see in the photo he took offense to me saying that she was trying to force me to stand here and listen to her and I didn’t think that was necessary, so no thank you and I just wanted to transact my business. They wouldn’t let so now I’m still standing there and they both are stopping me from transacting my business.he tells me that he wasn’t going to let me stand there and berate his supervisor. I now asked the gentleman what words had I used to berate his supervisor and when he couldn’t answer I asked for his supervisor and that’s when they began to play this game where she’s my supervisor he’s my supervisor they wouldn’t answer the question as to who’s the actual supervisor and how what process I could use to speak to that person so I started videoing because they were playing with me as a customer who had done nothing wrong, they threatened me with security and security did show up. I spoke to them they walked away but again they didn’t help when I expressed to them - Security that I would like to file a complaint there was no customer service whatsoever and the only feelings that were being considered or concerned with were the staff members which everybody’s feelings should’ve been the concern.
First time ever going to casino and all 4 of us had a blast. Made 150 profit. The young lady who check ideas was extremely sweet and I loved her attitude as she was very personable towards my daughters appears and her attire. So definitely recommend trying it out.

The demo work on the grandstand is underway, I hope it doesnt adversely affect the racing, the slots in the casino seem to be looser and payout rate seems to be better. I will update once the season starts.

This is a bitter sweet place. Will you hit a hand play yes soon or later. This place will tell everyone in the casino when there is a hand play to hit and I love that. But when this place wants to take and not give than watch out. But this place can also have some good times on the slots. The food is good before covid it was better but it’s good. The wings, meatloaf, Mac and cheese, burger I would suggest any of those items. This place also brews the beer which is nice to see. They also have a over 50 day and they will give prizes and different games in the months. They also have a hotel but it doesn’t belong to Caesar but if you speak with a host you may can get a night on them Sunday-Wednesday. If you in Ohio this could be a good visit, also they have horse races here.
Friendly staff, club house is really outdated. Went to watch the derby, was hard to follow on the small screens.
Scioto is cool but their maintenance from the snow was the worst, and there security wont help if phone is stolen, no secure place to charge phones either

Had a great time but as always way to cold inside. Slots was paying a little here and there buy not the 88 fortunes played $400 at 8.88 and didnt get 1 bonus. Was no coffee and seemed like half the slots was out of order in the smoking area.

For my first time the experience was good with great food with what was open and fun games.
(2022 update review) its a beautiful casino. And fun to go to, but the payout is horrible now compared to recent years. Unless ur past your mid 40s u dont really hit big. Or a high card member. I go to the casino quite a bit and this is exactly what I experience and see. I know its based on luck but when 40s plus keep hitting for good amounts and Im spending the same amount of not more on the same machines I hit small amounts or nothing. I know a worker told me certain sections of the casino is set to hit an certain amount of jackpots each day. The slots are programmed for payout. That came from a worker that works on the machines.
I stayed at the hotel next door. And I was a le to catch a few races. Awesome experience! Great people, environment and service. Cant wait to come back.
This was my first visit. It was also my last. The machines are too close together and it was very crowded. The music was loud. I had to shout for the lady at the cashier booth to hear me. It wasnt a bad experience, but it wasnt that great either. $5 dollars was a welcome incentive when I signed up for the rewards card. I will stick with Hollywood Casino. When I signed up for the rewards card there, I received a $25 free play. Maybe Saturday wasnt a good day to choose for my first experience at Scioto Downs. I just know I wont go back.

Had a great experience here. Nice people. The food was 100% good I had the sirloin steak and the pasta. The two bartenders gave us the best service. It was my first time playing games at the casino. Visited from Atlanta!
I arrived really late Friday night or early Saturday morning. First thing I noticed was the parking lot was empty, all 3 parking lots! This started worrying me cause even smaller casinos Ive been to, parking lots are completely full! Even in Tunica, MS., is this empty throughout the week! From there it was all around disappointment! Food was even a let down. If you are wanting excitement, I can give you a list of better casinos to visit.
I have been here before and this time they just behave weird to me. I had the paper id given by the ohio bmv and they did not accept that as a valid id instead they wanted the hard copy which i didnt received yet, because it takes 7-10 days to get the hard copy in mail. I am not exactly sure if it was just the id issue because i been there before and they sometimes dont even ask for id. This ruined our thanksgiving.

I am a Diamond plus rewards member with ceasars players club and since they switched to ceasars rewards players club cards its been glitchy. This isnt a bad review really but I just wanted to tell about my experience and let others know. If you have any food comps or celebratory mile stone dinners, make sure you have something in writing on another paper to give to the server so it will cover your meal. I was told it would be on my players club card and it was not when it came time to pay my tab.....it was a very embarrassing situation... so always go to the players club first to make sure you have everything your offers say you have... they found my offer at the players club and made everything right and that was awesome but it was very frustrating having to deal with this. Just make sure you have everything covered. Nobody wants to do dishes. I always have a great time here, Ive only played the slot machines inside, but will soon be outside placing bets on the horse races. They have a machine for everyone here and are always putting in more of the latest and greatest, the visual effects are starting to become unbelievable! Its not impossible to hit big on the slots but sometimes it feels impossible to leave with anything in your pocket. Make sure you get a players card and always familiarize yourself with the machines bet amounts before you hit max bet.Hats off to the security for tracking down the thieves who stole my buddies phone and recovered it, truly amazing work and Thank you!
I visit a lot of casinos across this country, this casino has the worst payback percentage I have ever seen, been here multiple times and it is always the same, bet anything higher then the bare minimum your not gonna win anything. Just my opinion, the worst of all I visit.
This place is a joke. The machines are definitely off. They come a whole 30 minutes after you call an attendant or even a slow night when you win. Their promotions are a joke, received free plays (in the mail) and thought it was for a lot but the amount turns out its not, just a mirage to get you to come there to play. Used to win before covid hit but now, ugh. They need a better cleaning crew on the weekends. And heard of a waitress that was messed with and had to quit because another waitress. Inside and out this place is a joke. Brew Brothers is the only thing worth it in there. The hotel is nice. Hollywood is better. But when your a Vegas regular you know how it goes.

I WAS TOLD THEY WOULD CONTACT ME. Well somehow the ball got dropped and Thanks to Kathy my money was put on my players card. She met with me, got all the details and solved my issue. I really appreciate her concern, and diligence in resolving this and not dropping the ball as the others before her. Seems like they are not as good on giving out comps anymore. I mean they seem to give out $10 dollars on your players club card. They use to give more. They are becoming cheap. We spend hundreds there and they give you very little in return. Ripoff anymore.

A bit disappointing. I used to go here fairly regularly. But I havent been here since Covid hit. A good selection of machines, but there were probably about 40 or so machines out of service. The buffett was closed. Despite the Columbus indoor mask mandate, about 25% of the people in there werent wearing masks. And I guess incoming cash outweighs enforcing safety protocols. Ill go back - but probably when covid is over.
First time being there a little overwhelming but had fun didnt win witch would have helped but got out of the house.

Stopped on our way through town on 6/10/21 to check the place out. Did so-so on games. Chose to grab a quick lunch at the Dash Cafe. Husband had the pizza which wasn’t great. I grabbed a tiramisu out of the refrigerated display and it tasted fine. All 10 or so pieces were past expiration date by 1 day (6/9) Those dates are real…I ate nothing else that day, spent the night puking my guts out. Yuck!! Not a great experience.

I heard they were short handed. Several times used restroom and several bathroom doors I opened needed cleaned. In the smoking area, have to look for ashtrays, half the time and theyre alway full. Other then that alway a fun place.

Now the reason, Im giving them 4 stars today is because, had to go to 4 different Cash out machines, because they werent working. The employees were very helpful. Ate at the food and dash, their food is good, and reasonal. The restrooms are alway clean and so is the casino. They could stand to empty ashtrays a little more in smoking area, and could use more ashtrays, I seem to alway have to look for one. Love going there, a little to much. 😆

Won a jackpot on the slots when I first got there and it took an hour to get a payout. Absolutely way too long. People kept walking by and looking at what I won. I really didn’t feel that safe with everyone looking over my shoulder, especially for an hour. I wanted to gamble but after the payout, I left. I’ve been to allot of casinos, especially Vegas, you don’t have these issues. The casino needs to step up there game.
Been coming here from the time it first opened and its gone from good in the beginning to worse every year. The workers are friendly and a big positive for the casino. But as for me personally I no longer enjoy going there and feel the atmosphere is terrible.
Always have a great time here...plenty of parking for 18 wheelers no matter how late...resort is clean and comfy...Casino is always nice...amped up on some weekends tho🤣...but being an OTR trucker and have stopped here numerous occasions both weekend and weekday and has never disappointed...one of the best casinos in the country
Thought we had casino cash to spend. Traveled only to find we had nothing. Played many slots. Still had nothing. Played over 1 grand. Still had nothing. Stayed in hotel. That cost 139.00 a night plus taxes. Talked to players club host. Got 25.00 casino cash to play on. That was the extent of the casinos hospitality. Go somewhere elseAnywhere. Other casinos appreciate their players.

However I find it incredibly upsetting at this point in the COVID-19 battle that over 100,000 individuals can crowd into OSU football stadium not masked and you can’t walk 2 feet into this venue without being harassed by staff “Wear a mask or leave”How in this great country in which we live can there be SUCH IRREGULARITIES… ?????Take a stand for your patrons Scioto Downs!!!If 100,000 people can sit side by side enjoying College football I should be permitted to sit 6’ apart with no mask inside your venueSHAMEFUL- will not return until Scioto takes a stand for its customers

2022-03-15Love playing at this place. They have all the games. Love the horse racing love having the hotel attached to it. Just wish they had another restaurant because the other two have limited menus. Amazed that Ohio casinos have Lottery machines on their property. Quite handy.

2021-09-03Awesome facility and casino. They have semi parking off to the left in back. Spent 18 hours here playing the slots and only lost $80 in 8 hours of playing. At one time I was up $300 but kept playing. The machines are calibrated right and not too tight. Workers are super friendly and professional. I also ate lunch and dinner inside and it was excellent at a good price!!! I would definitely recommend coming here! I’ll be back that’s for sure.

2022-01-23First time going there the security was funny and nice, the desk services people were friendly and helped tremendously. They have a smoking section which is a plus for me (yes I know smoking sucks) everything was clean. However the slots were a little tight for my liking Ive seen looser slots at bars, maybe it just wasnt my night. I do plan on going back but going to wait until the races start back up.

Which I would continue to come back if I seen at least 1 person win. But the machines were trash. But definitely a place to go to get food at dash Cafe.

2022-02-15The room we booked in the hotel was great. It was large with plenty of room to move around, unlike most hotels Ive stayed in. I would definitely stay again. The casino was clean, staff was friendly and joking around with us while checking IDs, I heard quite a few people being asked if they needed drinks. I thought the payout was pretty good, I won $100 after a few $1 spins on a machine, ended up with 48!! Free spins on another. The layout was easy to manoeuver and remember where certain slots are. Overall I was impressed with our experience and will definitely be back to Scioto Downs and recommend to anyone thinking of visiting.

2022-06-13I come here 2-4 times a week. Yes, I have won some here and there; however, the machines have become tight.I wasn’t going to post a review, but a few weeks prior I had went. The machine malfunctioned, which is fine (it happens) the issue lies within the organization. I waited 40-45 mins for a tech to come so I could cash out my money ticket. The bartender advised me to wait, as well as guest services. They had stated that the service call button will put me in a queue. I requested a manager after 30 minutes, which never came.Going forward, I submitted a complaint to Caesars, in which the “Director of Slots” emailed me back after 10 days of the filed complaint. They had a manager from the casino reach out to me, to only ask the name of the bartender and guest services staff we dealt with ( not going to happen, I’m not here for upper management to come down on their staff, they are not the issue)So after all of this, the manager that called me stated to compensate for me time they will provide me with $20 free play.I have played thousands of dollars, and waited 45 mins for a tech, to offer $20 free play for my time.Terrible management, cheap corporate level, no sense of care for customers.

2022-04-04Its fine. They do a pretty good job of keeping it clean. A lot of slot machines to keep people gaming. I feel like the older slot machines are wasted space. Nobody seems to play them unless its a packed house. Im almost 40 and got I.D checked same with my mother who is retirement aged, kind of weird. Others walked right past who were younger and no check. Should at least be some consistency with that 🤷♂️ Not sure the parking will be able to handle when a sports book is added at the end of 2022.

2022-04-28Like the atmosphere of the casino, and the wide choice of gaming machines. My personal reservation is the time period of winnings. Some days it seems easy to win, while on other days you cant win regardless how much you bet. Now a days we have to schedule time to go due to financial restraint. Alot of time we dont use our cards, hoping for a natural winnings. Not a scheduled winning by card tracking. Not complaining, just an observation. Thank you.
