Had to get gas for my boat one day. The young man was friendly and helpful. Apparently they service the sheriffs boats at the marina. The shop was spartan but reasonably well stocked for many boatersneeds.
The MOST unprofessional place. The owners are completely unreasonable, immature and loose cannons. It’s only a matter of time before they lash out at you for no reason. I guarantee any positive review is from a friend or family member. Do yourself a favor and dock your boat elsewhere!!!!!!!!
Owner is very rude and disrespectful. Was enjoying a nice day on the lakes with family when owner and worker got very biligerant. After explaining multiple times that we were leaving owner proceeded to call the police. If I could give this place 0 stars I would.
After being treated very rudely by the illiterate woman at counter, I did some research on the owners. James and Zana Genovese. He has an extensive criminal record...as does their son. They are over priced on everything and seem to treat everyone with indifference and very rude. I would never do business with them and recommend that everyone reading this run away screaming before they can get their hooks into you. Just check them out yourself.
Very rude. Its like Im inconveniencing them to look at our boat. They dont call you back. I left a message; no call back. Then I called a week and a half later and they say theyre too busy and to call in a couple of weeks. They will not make an appointment or anything.I dont know about you, but I dont want someone doing any work for me that has this attitude.
Great place to do business.Jim,Zana and Jimmy have been very helpful regarding all my boating needs.Do not believe all those negative reviews that have been posted.Cannot wait for them to open their restaurant.I am a very satisfied customer.
You can only get food the way its on the menu. You cant take things off. They dont know how to charge you.

2021-07-04WROST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. We docked our boat and the owner told us to leave and was screaming and cussing. He ended up throwing a glass beer bottle at me and my mom from the balcony of his restaurant because he thought we didn’t have a dock. The owner is a horrible human being. I have never experienced something like this ever. A grown man throwing a beer bottle at two women who have docked here for four years for doing absolutely nothing. It is dangerous there. DO NOT GO!!

2020-07-18We bought our first boat at Sandy Beach Marina. It was a busy holiday weekend and they were able to get everything done for us very quickly. Weve ate at their restaurant and bar several times now and the food is good and fairly priced. The outdoor area has a nice view of the marina and lake. Ive read the negative reviews on here and have to assume that those people just cant be made happy by anyone. Im happy we decided to buy a boat here and dock it at their marina and would recommend Sandy Beach to anyone else.

2018-11-22The Service is Wonderful. The Sauerkraut Balls the best since Arts Place. Same recipe. The Ahi Tuna was good, needed more Balsamic Reduction sauce, warmed. The Mushroom Risotto was exceptionally good. However, the Scalloped Potatoes left little to be desired, under cooked. Well try other things next time. Lastly, the place is too noisy for dinning. Too dark, and too cold.

2021-11-04Unprofessional. Greedy. Rude. Raised dock fees 50% without notice. Making dock renters pay for the taxes on the new restaurant? Owner is one of those “entitled” people - friendly on the outside but business practices are unfair and unethical.

2018-12-27Been there several times. Service was great when we sat at a table as well as when seated at the bar watching football. One of the best burgers I have had at a restaurant. The steak was exceptional. Cant wait for summer to sit out on the patio overlooking the lake.

2018-05-21This company really screwed me over. After telling me they were going to wash the bottom of my boat for $150 they lied about everything. They said to wait a week before bringing it in so I did. I go to take it there today and after they told me it would be done before the weekend, they now said it would be the end of next week (after the holiday). They also now changed the price on me. After waiting a week for them now all the other places have no openings to clean the boat before this weekend. They really screwed me and now I wont be able to take my family out on the boat this holiday weekend.Avoid this place at all costs. They are a bunch of liars, and cheaters. Plenty of other more reputable places in town. If I could give them 0 stars I would.

2017-04-28I disagree with all the above comments negative about owners..my experience was exceptional . I felt the staff at Sandy Beach went out of there way and was very kind to me every time I have dealt with them..never once did I feel it was a bad exp..great marina store mechanics..avai and .alot items needed for boating needs..storage reasonable and locked gates..soon there will be a restaurant to visit in a prime location . Dont let a few jerks paint a incorrect picture . This is a great staff and marina..stop in..see for yourself .

2017-12-08Bought a new boat there and took it home for two seasons to pay it off.When We returned we were told no dock spaces were available.Only for new boats they suggested we buy another new boat.AND SORRY NO COLORED PEOPLE ALLOWED!I am about 12% native American.But if you are African American just forget about help with parts service or dock space...TWO THUMBS DOWNNOW THEY ARE OPENING A NEW RESTARAUNT.Hope you like sewer bass.. 2016-08-05The owner is LITERALLY one of the worst people I have met during my time. I have not been able to get over how bad of a person he is. Everyone in town warned me about trying to go here. If I had the time I would dedicate every weekend of my life standing in front of this place to warn peope from experiencing the worst marina in Northeast Ohio. The Genovese name has been smeared by this man.
