Samanthas Restaurant in other cities:
Crazy wait times. Multiple times we have called ahead only to get there and them not have our name. One instance, we checked in on arrival and confirmed the number with the hostess, waited in the lot 30 minutes and then decided to leave. Never did get a call. The food quality was normally great but not worth the hassle of getting a seat. We find better service at Another broken egg cafe
Wonderful establishment.I can not say enough positives.Everything was fantastic! The restaurant was extremely busy but we were seated right away.Service was impeccable.extremely attentive staff in all areas.the food was out of this world.the best breakfast I have ever had!We drove an hour to get there and I was in no way dissapointed. We will definitely go back. Also I would like to praise our serverMckenzie.she was hands down the best server we have ever encountered!!!Thank you Samanthas one and all .It was our pleasure!
Reasonably priced local restaurant, know for breakfast items and large portions. I had chorizo sausage gravy and biscuits. Very tasty, somewhat spicy, but, not overwhelming though. Also served was stuffed French toast and common French toast. The portions were large and served piping hot. The coffee was good and my cup kept topped off. The bill was just over$10,each,including tax Our waitress was attentive.
Good foodNice environmentVery cleanTheir omelette is not an omelette...the egg is made into a pancake (cooked both sides) then they put the cooked ham, cheese and broccoli . The cheese was not melted into the omelette...not worth the money. But my son said the burger was good with the fries.
Waitress was nice. Place inside was DIRTY.. 🤯😡😱 Took my FIL here for Brunch after an appointment. Samanthas was NOT BUSY. There were 3 of us, my hubs had to ask for water from a different waitress. Then, my order was completely wrong, and then when I got it back, it was cold! Eggs, hashbrowns, toast and sausage that I watched get cooked in the microwave 🙄🤯🤪 NASTY! Then, some handwritten, taped on the door, sign about rising prices on their front door. EVERYONE has raised their prices. At least make the sign presentable and NOT a scrap of paper.Consider consolidating your menu choices, giving your restaurant a thorough clean.
Came here due to their gluten free offerings and was not disappointed! Theres a huge selection of food for those with celiac, including pancakes and french toast, and all that we tried was very good! The staff were very friendly. The interior is also very nice.My only complaints are that the openness of the joint allows for a lot of echoing and the bathrooms need a little maintenance.
I understand that the world is facing a work shortage. However, my family called the restaurant and we were told there was no wait. Awesome. I arrive and Im told theres a 20 minute wait. No problem at all. We ended up waiting for 45 minutes. I specifically asked for a highchair twice. We got our table and there was no highchairs available. Then I was told our food would be about 40 minutes until it was ready. So a simple breakfast took about 3 hours. I was not impressed with the service, and our food was cold. Im pretty patient but it doesnt take an astronaut to follow directions.
I will start off by saying that the food tastes amazing. That being said, the past two times I have eaten there, I have had stomach issues. I have celiac disease and they have a lot of gluten free options. Unfortunately, when there is cross contamination due to carelessness In the kitchen or delivery of the food, theres no point in ordering gluten free because Im going to get sick. Having so many gluten free options, you would think they would care more about stuff like that but Ive been burned twice now. For some of us, gluten free is not a choice but an allergy. Your food may be good but the after affects are not and its not worth the misery. Sad to say we wont be back.
I don’t think we will come back. The food was satisfactory, but the service was definitely lacking. I ordered a coffee, and as she poured it I could see thru the pot. One sip and it didn’t even taste like coffee - I could see the bottom of my mug clearly. When I told the waitress she said yeah “our coffee maker doesn’t work right”. Okay then.I ordered the scrambler, my kids had chicken and waffles. They forgot to enter my wife’s breakfast burrito ... didn’t realize it until they brought all of us our food. We were mostly done eating when they served her the burrito. Also if you have kids - read the menu photo attached - does it read “Kids Drinks Free” and “Refills 99 cents” ? Your wrong, as were we. They charged us for kids drinks. The waitress said “yeah a lot of people get that wrong”. Change the wording or tell your customers! Also, they only have one restroom for a large restaurant... there was almost a continual standing line outside the door of customers waiting.
Wanted some breakfast today. ..decided to try .....SAMANTHAS RESTAURANT...very nice and clean....I ordered a county fried steak, scrambled eggs and toast....was very delicious. ....BUT WHAT IMPRESSED ME....was the vegetables omelet I took home for the girlfriend. This thing is massive and smells outstanding ....great job
The seafood omelet is my go-to if I can get to Samanthas. It is so good that I would consider liking my plate clean if I werent in a public place! We went there for my mans daughters birthday lunch at noon on Sunday, but unfortunately, they didnt seem equipped to handle our medium - sized- party of eight and we ended up spending nearly two hours in the place (not ideal.)
Arrived for breakfast shortly before 9:00am and was seated in the bar area because that was the only place they still had tables available. Staff was very friendly. Several people would check to see if everything was ok whenever they passed the table and coffee refill offers were frequent. Omelette was fluffy, well cooked and generously filled. Nice selection of toast options beyond just white or wheat. Interesting options for omelettes, Benedicts, waffles and pancakes. Order was taken promptly, took a bit to get the food but understandable considering how busy they were. There was a line waiting for tables by the end of the meal. Seems like a very popular place. Would definitely go back and try more from the menu.
Food was okay but pancakes were chewy, simple stuff was not taken care of such as clean bathrooms and properly dressed staff. It was also very hot and the thermostat was set at 81. As a business owner I was not impressed. On top of fixing these things find ways that will set you apart, also took 90 minutes to get food.
First time there. Highly recommend. What an amazing selection of food for a covid time. The drinks were on point. I had a stuffed salmon dinner that melted in my mouth. Wish I would have know of it before but will be back even though I am an hour away. Reviewed their breakfast menu an absolute amazing selection. I have been to 5 star restaurant in Dallas and Washington DC and if you take out the elegant deco the food was equal.
Had a wonderful meal! My fiance got the hangover burrito, which he said was amazing. They offer the option of deep-fried or grilled. He said that next time he will get grilled. Deep-fried was good but almost too much. The queso on it was fabulous.I had the Holy Chicken sandwich. It deserves that name. It was absolutely a glorious version of chicken and waffles. The menu says spicy but it was not hot to me. I do wish that it came with more chicken though. We decided to split the biscuits and gravy flight. Definitely worth trying at least once. The biscuit was light and fluffy and each of the 3 gravy choices was different from the others and delicious. The chipped beef was my favorite. It had some nostalgic flavors. Our waitress, Amanda, was lovely and never let our drinks run dry.
Food is great but the service is awful. Our first experience here we only saw out waitress when she took out food order. She didnt take our drink order someone else did and someone else brought our food to the table. Anytime the waitress would walk through the dining room shed keep her head down purposely so you couldnt get her attention for anything. I sat my entire meal trying to get my drink refilled to no avail but my waitress had more than enough time to chit-chat with the bar staff. Today when I did an online order, you have to pick up at a special counter that no one was manning so you just have to stand there and wait until a passing staff member asks if youve been helped. Also, the emails shouldnt say arrive promptly at your pick up time if the food isnt going to be ready at the time.
The good food is ruined by the overwhelming atmosphere and lack of organization. Upon arrival we waited 20 minutes for a table (not an issue), but after being seated we waited 25 minutes for someone to even ask what drinks wed prefer. I ordered a holy chicken waffle which was listed at 7.99, and when I got the bill it was 10.79. When I addressed this, the waitress said the menu said our prices are subject to change I think that is something that shouldve been addressed sooner, it being in fine print in a completely different section of the menu was insanely counterproductive and misleading. The poor service and lack of clear warning about the changing prices are very deterring. Wont be getting my money again. It would take very little time to print and laminate new menus with CORRECT prices. You cant fine print a clause on a completely different section of the menu and continue to display incorrect pricing. Overall it is a very counterproductive place, and the waitresses are spotty and inconsistent.
Samanthas is amazing. You usually will have to wait for a table a while but believe me it is worth it! Our daughter has Celiacs Disease so we appreciate the gluten free options on their menu. Weve only had breakfast/brunch there but everything is delicious. Their coffee is some of the smoothest Ive ever tasted. Recommend you try it!
As I type this, I’m sitting in the parking lot of Samantha’s waiting on my husband to pick up an order - that was placed an hour ago.We were told 25-30 minutes.I’m hungry, getting hangry and we have plans for the day.Unfortunately because of this snafu - we’ll be cutting out at least one of our planned activities because we won’t have enough time.I love your food, but holy cannolis Batman, this timing is unreal.
Food was good, service was good. Was very disappointed to see the bill item prices were 30% higher than what was listed on the menu. Even more disappointed when the staff basically said it is what it is.The menus are printed in black and white on plain paper. If they have time to update the computer prices, they should be able to come up with the $2 to print new menus too.
Lets start positive. The food is good. Now, wait time to be seated isnt bad, about 20 min around noon for a party of five on Fathers Day Sunday. Then it starts to get questionable. We were seated with breakfast menus, took about 10 min to get a lunch menu in hand. The first three things my dad asks for from the menu are out of stock. Not good. Then, once everyone has ordered, the waitress lets us know that our meal will not be served for at least 35-45 minutes. What? At this point were already committed so we stay. 40 minutes later our food starts to arrive a few plates at a time. First my Samantha Sandwich (pictured). When it arrives its just warm not hot. Everyone elses order trickles to the table over the next 5 min. EXCEPT for my dad. We sit, stalled, waiting for his meal to arrive before we dig in. Another 5 minutes go by. We flag the waitress when shes finally spotted. We ask about dads meatloaf. She gets a little snippy, says theyre still working on it. She can bring the broccoli (his side dish). Few more minutes. By this time the restaurant is about half empty and our boys have given in to hunger and have picked at their food to the point that its almost gone. The meatloaf and brocolli finally arrive, but no potato. Waitress says their working on it. Dad starts to eat, finishes his meatloaf and brocolli before potato makes it to the table. When it does finally get there, its not fully cooked. At this point dad just eats it. Hes hungry and weve been here for what feels like forever. The waitress comps the meatloaf. Now, I can also say that last year for my birthday we had a similar experience, only that time it was my turn to not only be the last to eat, but have everyone served first and then told what I ordered was out of stock. I thought for sure that was a fluke, but today confirms for me that Samanthas suffers from some seriously deficient management. My husband and I love to support local business, but today was the last time they will get any of our money.
Great lunch! I had the Italian Chicken Sandwich on a gluten free bagel. So delicious! The chicken itself was cooked superbly and the tomato pesto was delectable. The man had the pork carnitas melt. The meat was juicy and tender and the flavor combination was fantastic! Good service and a large menu. We will be back to try more items ( I have my eye on the deep fried breakfast burrito).
TERRIBLE service today......Terrible! Went for breakfast. Daughter in laws mother ordered French toast. Came with no syrup. Asked for syrup - was given sugar free syrup and told we are out, someone is going to store but here’s this. Whhhaaaaatt??? As big as this place is there is not another container of syrup on a table you could borrow for a minute? We waited. Asked again. Amanda told us they are not back from store. Table near us had syrup on their table - so I asked “can’t we use that one?”Very rudely she said no we would have to wait until they were done. Again.....Whhhaaaaat? After she left couple nicely said here we are done. I walked over to get syrup, thanking them and noticed they were done eating, had stacked their plates they were so done, But we couldn’t use the syrup. Yes Amanda you blew it- we are known for leaving very generous tips- needless to say you were left bare minimum, as you could have cared less. We like the food here but doubtful we will be back.
Ordered the promoted cinnamon glazed french toast; restaurant was not too busy, took a long time for meal to arrive; a mediocre entree and overpriced. Would not order again. My partner had the eggs Benedict; much better choice; attractive appearance and tasty. Service was good.
It looks kind of intimidating from the outside, as my girlfriend put it. But the inside is so clean and the inspirational wall quotes were an added touch. I got the cheesy pierogi scramble, and I it was really good and super filling. I added a side of sweet potato fries and they were so good, highly recommend.
Went today about 10 am, got the sunrise same as my husband, we got our food eggs was supposed to be over easy, over hard is what we got, the bacon was cold, and hash browns were soaked in grease and cold, toast was burnt. Would have gave 0 stars but not an option,$ 25.00 for cold food
Used to eat here weekly wont return. Will find a new restaurant to eat breakfast at. Went in to put on our name said it was going to be 20 minute wait we had to wait in the vehicle and wait for a text. Waited 45 minutes and watched other people go in and put their name in come back out and wait in their vehicle and go in before us. Lady on the phone told that people were doing call ahead thats what pushed our times back? So you are saying because I was there in person ready to be seated people calling ahead after me were getting seated first? Makes absolutely no sense. Girl on the phone didnt have a care I was upset just said have a good day and hung up. Wont be back.
Amazing local joint with a mix of breakfasts, lunch and dinner offerings. I really struggle when I go here because everything is so good and I have to choose something new! Everything is homemade using top notch ingredients. Take your significant other for a lunch date and get cocktails! Enjoy!
Hard to have a conversation with the loudest of the restaurant. And the food was good the coffee was weak as is someone did not allow the pot to completely brew and what I was served was the end bit. I would probably go back if invited but it would be my first choice of places to eat.
This place flew under the radar for me for a long while. Wish I would have stopped by sooner! The service was nice and friendly and the food was great! They have a really good selection of different plates. Enough to cover the pickiest of eaters. I will be going back to try some other choices. I highly recommend this place.
We came for brunch and sat for over 20 mins without someone even coming to take a drink order. Got fed up and left. As we were leaving an employee taunted us saying “leaving so soon?” and laughed when we told him we waited over 20 mins without any service. Will never come here again.
Ordered breakfast for two. My wife had the stuffed French toast, came out cold, no strawberrys, inedible. My breakfast was to be eggs bacon, potato cakes with rye toast. Runny eggs hard overcooked bacon, so salty as to be inedible. Potato cakes were raw inside. Toast was soggy and only half toasted. What an incredible disappointment.
Pleasant surprise. The restaurant didnt seem crowded, so I didnt expect much. The food was presented in a favorable manor and all of the items that I tasted were good. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive. The crowd varied in age. I will return to this location.
Food was okay for what was available. Tried to order and was told we are out of that on several options. Soda was extremely watered down and when asked for a refill the waiter brought another glass and dumped alittle in each of our glasses from the one glass. Was hoping for a better experience than past visits, three strikes your out and wont be revisiting again.
Went for breakfast. They were out of cranberry juice and rissoto (wanted the New rissoto eggs Benedict. Got the fried green tomato benedict instead which had no taste and bits of odd food. Husband got a skillet, (eggs, hash browns, sausage gravy) which had hardly any sausage, and he said tasteless as well.
Our food was great but the service wasn’t that great! Our server Danya W was very slow, walked passed us many times without looking at us when we needed something, took forever to get refills, boxes and our bills took awhile too. We will be back for the food, just hope we get a different server.
This place is really fast, friendly, and the food is delicious. Came here years ago and eventually stopped going because it was always so slow. Its much improved now, and were surprised how quick the food comes out. A lot of very unique creations in the menu too, like the spicy waffle.

2022-07-05We went to Canton to go to the Indian Motorcycle dealer and after finishing up there we googled places to eat since we hadn’t been to Canton before. The atmosphere is very uplifting to say the least with all the motivational quotes on the walls, and the fast and friendly service. The food was delicious we had a burger and steak. We were very pleased with the meal and the price.

2022-01-30This place is always a go to for me and my family! The food is delicious. However, the last time we went, we decided to try the bloody Marys. They always look so good! We first had the bacon rimmed bloody Mary, and then the regular. For 4 drinks, it was almost $40! You couldnt even tell there was alcohol in them. Thats a sin for 4 drinks to cost triple the price of our food. We will obviously go back for the food, but not for the drinks. Unless their drinks have some sort of healing properties....they have no business being almost $10 a piece.

2022-01-22We drive 45 minutes to eat here! I dream of their GF pancakes! Menu is nicely marked gluten free. So many options we take too long to order. GF toast, GF potatoes all wonderful! The English muffin was weird and I won’t get again. Can be a wait on the food but so worth it. They do take reservations.

2022-05-22We went, party of 4, after church today and they were busy. The wait to be seated was about 35 minutes, which wasnt too bad considering the day. The wait for our food was much longer, but we understand the difficulty getting employees and filling orders. The food was extremely good. Our server was very friendly and attentive. However, my meal was $2.11 more than quoted on the menu. I Thats a big change - $10.89 to $13.00. I would have ordered something else, had I known. When I mentioned this to the server, she said there were signs posted all over the restaurant (we saw 1 on the front door, a long-handwritten message which we didnt have time to read as we went in and saw on the way out). I replied, if the prices change, why do they put prices in the menu? to which she replied Maam, Im not the owner and she turned and walked away. $2.11 was quite a big difference, and yes, she is not the owner and did not make policy, but an appropriate response would have started with Im so sorry, Maam, but the restaurant had to change the price due to ... or something like that. This was our first visit to the restaurant, and we left a little put off.

2022-03-27YUM! We arrived at 7:30am, was seated and given our drinks immediately. The place is clean, comfortable and the service was good and the food was great! We had the stuffed french toast with fresh fruits, and the au gratin scramble was layers of ham, sausage, potatoes, cheese, onion and eggs. And we tried the cinnamon roll which was fresh and hot. Everything, even the coffee was great and we will be going back again soon.
