Great selection and excellent service. They attended my table often and fed me well for a great price. The value is unmatchedThe loss of the sushi is disappointing. after the 3 months of being closed right after opening due to the bridge closing im glad theyve stayed open under such circumstances and hope they plan to bring the chef back.
Ordered online, said it would be ready in 15 minutes. After showing up 16 minutes later, I stood in line amidst nothing but commotion and lots of angry patrons. 20 minutes later, I got someone to tell me my order had not even been entered yet and would be at least another 30 to 40 minutes. Their food isnt good enough to put up with such poor service and complete lack of organization. I wont be going here again, China Wok is better anyway.
With a complete lack of even decent Chinese food in this town, I decided to give Sakura a try hoping for the best. Their food is inconsistent at best. I have ordered Vegetable Lo Mein several times, always requesting that the noodles and veggies be cooked FIRM, not mushy. While the noodles are always varying degrees of mushy anyway, typically the veggies are at least firm and flavorful. Not today. Both are so mushy that chewing was not necessary. My family additionally ordered Shrimp Fried Rice and Shrimp Dumplings. Both were absolute garbage. I called the restaurant to ask if they read special instructions and was told yes. When I asked if there is a better way to request the noodles and veggies to be firm, I was told that the noodles are pre-made. So evidently they are made in advance and left sitting until ordered. Gross. The unpalatable food has all been trashed and I will not be ordering from there again.
I’ve got mixed feelings. Their egg rolls and wonton soup were both delicious, but the main dish I got was chicken fried rice, and it was so bad I didn’t eat more than 3 bites before I threw it away. The chicken was so squishy and pale I thought it was shrimp at first. There was hardly any flavor except for onion. It was just bad. But like I said the other stuff was good. Maybe it was just an off day, but I’m really grossed out by the main dish.
The service was amazing. They made us feel like we were very important. My husband and I will be going back and soon. My first time in a asian restaurant was a very good impression. Thank you for making us feel like we mattered. The food was excellent the flavors were amazing thank you so much
The servers were friendly and attendant. The food was good overall. Sushi and apps were great. I ordered the steak hibachi, it was cooked perfectly but came with some kind of brown corn starch sauce Ive never encountered with hibachi before. Seemed a little pricey but not too bad.
I have always wanted to try this place. The food was really good. After ordering we didnt have to wait long for the food to come out. The Service could have been better from the server. My husband and I felt very rushed to order, eat, and pay! Half way though dinner she bought the check. We had came in after 7pm. In the future I believe well eat there again with the hope of a different server.
The staff is very friendly, but the last few times I have ate there its either looked undercooked or very crispy. And I order black pepper chicken like I have so many times before and this time it was like soup with big white pieces of chicken. Not so good since the re opening..
First, the food was good. Service iffy. Beef lo mein, very good, veggie fried rice, so so. A lot of rice and broccoli very little other veggies and it was very late getting to our table. 40 minutes. Never did get the egg rolls ??? Kept my cool and asked for the manager. I was directed to the mens room ? After asking 4 employees, one came forward. Not sure anyone understood but kept saying Im sorry that they were very busy. What are we ? Chopped liver. I dont think they were anticipating the crowd for the re-grand opening. Well go back but they will understand the time restaintts.
This place was terrible. The miso soup tastes like tofu, seaweed and water. I was told that the lo mein was rice noodles and not egg noodles and it in fact was egg noodles!! The fried banana had lettuce on it! What the hell is that?? Lettuce on a dessert? A hot dessert?? Really? I’m never buying from here again. The staff are uninformed about what they’re serving and it’s low quality.
Not amazing, but pretty good food. It is Marysville so not expecting much of anything other than generic food. Definitely better than China Wok and the Buffet which apparently is owned/run by the same people. Have had both takeout and dine in and never had any issues with service or food quality.
This restaurant was sold two months ago and the menu is basically the same, but staff and cooks are all new. The food today was very salty and the noodles were not done well at all. This is sad because the food under the previous management and staff was exceptional. This was disappointing to say the least.
Before going we read reviews. Was hesitant but decided to try it. The restaurant was clean and nice. Price was good and the staff was friendly despite other reviews. Food was very good!! I say try it you may be surprised. Get what you give...be kind get kindness in return
OK They were very slow the day we were there. Food was OK. When I ask where the crab meat was the waitress pointed to the imitation crab and said right there. I pointed out that on the menu it says crab meat. She said talk to the owner. I did. He said I shouldnt expect (real) crab meat. Everyone else does it too. Will not return. I did notice now closed. Nothing lost.
The food was decent. The services was horrible. Was never asked if we wanted fried or steamed rice. When food was brought out without rice I asked about it and she went and scooped us out steamed and took her time. At the end of the meal I asked for a box and she brought one and we realized we needed two and when asked for another she rolled her eyes. I said we can just put it in one so she dumped in my lap trying to do so. We paid cash and when she brought the change she said this does not include tip. WHO SAYS THAT!!! Than she hovered over us very uncomfortable like. My date got up to avoid her and I was going to leave a tip I got up to grab him to see if he had any smaller bills and the hovering waitress told us service isnt free and we must leave tip. At that point I was insulted and upset. So choose to walk with out tipping. I was told never to come back and followed out the door. I always tip at least 20% Im a waitress myself but Id never treat people so poorly.
If I didnt have to wait so long for my food, I would have given this place 5 stars. All of the food we got was great! And was obviously made with quality, fresh ingredients. If youre looking for something better than the typical crappy American Chinese food you usually find throughout ohio, I would recommend you check this place out.
Boyfriend and I decided to try it and honestly wasnt very impressed. They are limited in their menu choices and didnt have a few what I consider to be Asian staples like orange chicken. Got the beef lo mein and spring rolls, he got beef on a stick and pineapple chicken. Both main courses were very bland and beef on a stick wasnt anything more than unseasoned beef and green pepper kabobs grilled to a crisp. The service wasnt exactly horrible but nothing to brag on either. She wasnt rude at all and even asked if I was ok and if the food was ok cuz I wasnt eating, due to upset stomach, completely unrelated. She probably could have checked on our table more especially since we were one of the only two patrons in the place. So no problem with the service, just the food, so probably wont be returning cuz it doesnt really compare with the other Asian place over by the video game store and Wal-Mart in my opinion.
One, if not thee, best restaurant in town. Great food, very courteous service, and extremely clean. If you love sushi rolls, shashimi, and flavorful dishes with fresh fruit, spices, and a selection of Japaneese, Chineese, and Thai you will love it.If you are a meat and potatoes person this is not your restaurant. Or if you prefer food made with MSG this is not your restaurant. So many restaurants in Marysvikke use MSG and I am allergic so I am pleased to find they dont use MSG.
I just door dashed this place craving some basic american-chinese food. I was pleasantly surprised. Especially being delivery which I understand is not an ideal environment for something like fried calamari. It was delicious. and still crispy somehow. Also general tsos and thai hot and sour (I actually prefer traditional but was curious about the thai style) were great. thanks guys.

2022-05-21The food is great importantly my familys favorite was hunan shrimp. The fried rice was not excellent, that is why I took 1 star off otherwise this is great place.

2017-08-29Good quality food for a reasonable price. We got two entrees and two egg rolls. Both were good and we took home half of the meal! Service was a bit slow for my taste (also because including our group of 6 there were only 10 people eating here). Id go back again for sure.

2019-04-12Food: 6/10I ordered the Gyoza appatizer and the Beef w/Broccoli entree.Appetizer came quickly. The presentation was nice and the ingredients tasted fresh and savory. The salad that came with it didnt do anything for me and was relatively plain tasting. The entree was a bit on the small side; it would likely only feed one to two people. I felt that the sauce was a bit on the heavy side and the broccoli was slightly undercooked. The rice that came with it was mealy tasting and detracted from the overall meal.Drinks: 0/10Although there were signs for beer apparently they are currently not serving it. This in itself is not a reason for a zero score, however the fountain drink mix was also off leading to poor taste as well. Please dont advertise alcohol if you do not serve it. It comes across as disingenuous.Atmosphere: 6/10The place was very clean, well lit, and comfortable. My main concern was with the choices of media. While I was there, they were playing very downbeat country music, which was honestly kind of depressing when trying to eat dinner. In contrast to this were the TVs on the wall showing game shows. The net effect was that of a family style country western Asian restaurant, which is a first for me.Overall: 4/10If youre looking for a place to grab some food with a large group, this might not be a bad choice.

2016-10-29Overall good, mixed results. The first time we ate here the food was great, service was great. The second time we had carryout and the place was super busy and the food was mediocre, but they appeared to be understaffed and overwhelmed so Ill give them a pass. They have an excellent selection of Asian cuisine with traditional take out fare, hibachi, and sushi. They have also done a great job renovating. Both visits my service was good. Well be going back again Im sure.

2019-12-26Sooooo glad that I found this place by accident. The food is AMAZING and the boss lady and servers are the best. I asked if they could make Szechuan chicken my favorite way that only one other place makes and when it came to my table I about cried because I was so happy, then the waitress caught me dancing while I ate. 10/10 would recommend to everyone. If youre looking for something spicy and delicious, ask for the Szechuan with green onion and jalapenos (meat) only in the sauce ❤

2017-09-06My husband and I love this place for our date night. Really good, fresh food with good prices. The service is also good. I love the dragon and California rolls. I ordered the dragon roll with the most soup. When my plate came out, it had the California roll too - on the house! Whats not to love!? The Sizzling Shrimp was fantastic the time before this. The shrimp is large and plentiful. Cant beat the price of it!! Hope to try one of the hibachi dishes in the future.
