Took my son who was having a lot of trouble in kindergarten in Columbus Public to St Marys told them my issue. They were extremely considerate and understanding then enrolled him immediately, and told us we will figure out tuition as we go. They find anyway to make their school as affordable as possible for all families of all incomes. Not to mention the staff go above and beyond to truly get to know all the kids. The principal on down know the kids by name and their parents by face. I couldn’t be more happy with how my son has blossomed into a outgoing great student. He’s now a 2nd grader and my youngest is in kindergarten there. I just can’t speak highly enough of St Marys and Columbus Catholic.

They pick and choose the children they want in this school. and they will dismiss you after making all payments for school ! i applied all the way in April and here come school time , and they dont have my son on the list! we bought all supplies and and uniforms for them to tell us my son is not on the list with no explanation ! they took my money and still have the papers stating we were accepted which is truly sad ! i had high hopes for this school this is really sad. ITS SAD THAT WE APPLIED AND GOT APPROVED BACK IN APRIL AND WERE JUST TOLD NOW THAT THERES A PROBLEM MIND YOU IF THEY DID THEIR JOB CORRECTLY WE WOULD NOT BE HERE ! WE HAD MORE THAN ENOUGH TIME TO FIX ANY THING I FEEL ITS DISCRIMINATION IF ITS NOT FIXED WE WILL PRESSURE FURTHER ACTION AGAINST THE SCHOOL !!! NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND ACT!

Our children attending SMS has proven to be one of the greatest gifts that we can provide for them academically and holistically. SMS’s celebration of diversity and it focus on academic excellence is undoubtedly building a foundation for our children as they grow into adults that are leaders.All my children score above average on their math and reading scores. They have a love for reading which can be attributed to the wonderful and dedicated school staff. They trust and love their teachers. The SMS is considered an extension of family to not only our children but to us as parents. Their dedication to going above and beyond for their students is obvious. I have also been truly impressed with their dedication to making sure all students, no matter their culture, feel represented in the imagery of the classroom and within the curriculum.SMS is beautifully diverse. The real friendships our children have with peers that come from an economic and culturally diverse background that is different from their own will be invaluable to our children as they grown. Living and learning in celebrated diversity will produce long term success in our children’s contribution to their community. Our family finds the this the most beautiful and valuable part of SMS.When moving to Columbus, schooling for our children was our biggest concern. After researching and touring local public schools we quickly knew the public option wasnt a fit for us. We toured a few private schools but feared that financially they would not be an option. SMS walked us through the Ed Choice Scholarship option provided by the state. They showed us that because of our zip code we qualified, as most Columbus residents do. With the assistance of Ed Choice, tuition became something we could afford. We love SMS so much that we consider the existing tuition after the scholarship an important investment towards our childrens future. SMS also has an extraordinarily high acceptance rate for 8th graders entering local Catholic High Schools. These high schools academic statistics blow all our other high school options out of the water when preparing students for college and careers. SMS students who enter these high schools as freshman are prepared and equipped to succeed, making our investment at Saint Mary even more worthy.
