Really honest! They do good work and stand by it. Also they price things very fairly. I was getting a tow here and the driver said that he brings people there from two or three towns away, because theyre the best. They arent flashy, because their reputation does all their advertising.
The Sahlani Brothers family are among the most welcoming and generous people I have worked with in the world of film. They seriously know their cars and how to repair them with expert precision and speed at a reasonable cost to the car-owner, but there are other reviews you can read for more information about this.I am a recent graduate from Case Western who shot scenes in and around the Sahlani Brothers garage for my friends thesis film. From the first moment we stepped into the Sahlanis place of business, Jim (our primary contact) was the epitome of kindness and selflessness. Helping with production design, providing a handful of beautifully slick sports and muscle cars to film in and around, teaching our lead actress how to convincingly work a variety of tools in the garage and keeping the shop quiet while filming scenes that require clean audio were among the many ways Jim gave of himself and his business. Jim even opened the shop for a half day of filming on his day off.I am so very grateful to the Sahlani Brothers (especially Jims) hospitality and unflinching willingness to help out up-and-coming filmmakers. These are passionate, good people, and I would suggest anyone in need of car repairs to support an altruistic local business and get them done at the Sahlani Brothers.
Sahlani Brothers are the definition of integrity. They treat you like family from the first moment you walk into their shop. They attend to your vehicle much like a physician does a patient. I tell everyone I know about them!

Cant get better mechanics in the Cleveland area. Diagnose problems and quick and reasonably priced. Also makes note of other maintenance to consider in the future. And as friendly as the Super Mario Bros. Five stars!
They damaged my oil pan during an oil change and charged me around $200 some to replace it when I came back with an oil leak a day later.
Great shop, they helped me out a lot. I dont see any reason to take my car anywhere else.

2022-03-15I’ve been bringing them my vehicles for repairs and oil changes for 3 years now. They’ve flawlessly repaired both my 2010 vehicle as well as my 2020. They’re very nice, extremely *honest*, and have squeezed my appointments in on little notice several times now. I’ve been reading some of the negative reviews (which are on the minority side), and I can’t help but wonder if it’s the entire story. These are some of the nicest businessmen I’ve ever dealt with. Not to mention their reasonable prices—I was a college student during most of that time. I absolutely recommend them!

2018-03-23Jim Sahlani is extremely trustworthy, kind and skilled. He thoroughly explains any issues with your car, texts you the relevant pictures, and is very fair on pricing. I am so happy I found him after trying many other mechanics in the area. He also saved me nearly $500 by suggesting that my dealer cover a repair on a car I had recently bought. 2020-05-23I wish I could give this business zero stars. They take advantage of the elderly. They serviced my husbands car and charged him a lot of money. Each time he picked up the car it stopped a mile later. The shop always gave some reason it stopped, usually another part that was needed and more service. They did this multiple times. They kept his car in the shop for a long time (almost a year) until they were tired of making up more parts that needed to be replaced. My husband was very trusting of these people this is why he allowed this. Prior to this he had vehicles serviced in this shop with no problems. In the end they told him the vehicle needed too much work and should be junked. They offered to sell it to a selvage company for my husband and promised to give him the money from the company. They have never given him his money and each time he calls they promise to mail his check! They are outright thieves! Do not trust them!

2012-10-27We have been taking both cars to Sahlani Brothers for almost 3 years and they have yet to disappoint us. They are honest, reliable, and have reasonable prices. Jim Sahlani also greets you like an old friend and seems very genuine about it. The only thing I would change is adding some mechanism for earlier morning drop-offs (8 am is tough with our work hours). Overall we feel so lucky to have identified a mechanic we like and trust.

2017-01-10Sahlani brothers is the perfect auto repair shop in every sense. First of all, Jim is a really nice guy. He also actually takes time to break down the problem, and find out whatever he can to help with the diagnosis. They are great at finding out what is wrong without suggesting you do unnecessary repairs. Im certain that when I go here for repairs Ill find out, truthfully, what is happening with my car, and what is the most cost effective way forward. Cant say enough good things about this place, and Ive been to a lot of mechanics with my 16 year old, 130,000 mile car.

2013-07-17I have been going to Sahlani Brothers for 3 years now and I am telling you they are the most fair and honest in the business. I have taken my car and received work estimates that Sahlani has done for hundreds less than the competition. The very first time that I went there they treated me like they knew me their who lives. He actually brought out the dirty oil to show me and said you really did need an oil change and also your door was a little squeaky so I put some oil on it so it doesnt squeak anymore (no charge).

2013-11-17The best mechanic shop ever. Im from Detroit - and am very pick about where I take my cars. If I had a garage I would handle my service myself - I like to make sure my cars are maintained with love and things are done right.The guys at Sahlanis always address my concerns, and professionally address issues and are extremely communicative - always letting me know what is going on and what options I have, the price points for each option, and the positives and negatives of each choice.The other thing that has me hooked to Sahlanis is their honesty. Over two years ago I took my car there with a horrible engine knock - I assumed I had lost a lifter, or needed some other serious top end work. I fully expected to put another engine into the car. Sahlani charged me around $100 for some minor maintenance that addressed the issue.Again, I cant recommend them enough!

2013-11-01I have had my car serviced with Sahlani Brothers for more years than I can imagine. Every time that I have taken my car to them they have diagnosed the problem correctly and repaired my car. Jim has taken the time to explain to me what caused the issues with my car and what it would take to repair it. The last time I took my 99 Honda Accord to them I did not even bother to ask what needed to be done. I knew that whatever he suggested would be the solution to the problem. Always suggest repairs, but I believe that he has never tried to suggest any unnecessary repairs. Competent and Trustworthy. Which is very rare. Will always use them to repair my car from now on.

2013-09-06Sahlani Brothers is the best kept secret in Cleveland Heights. Not only do they do great work at the most reasonable prices, they take the time to show you the old parts and give advice on any other problems they notice. They will also give you options on genuine factory replacement or after market parts. Its just so wonderful to call Jim and have him recognize your voice and call you by name before you even identify yourself. Sahlani Brothers make you feel like family and since I have found them I would go no where else and have also recommended many others to go to them. I would also add that if you are one of the many Subaru owners in the area like me (I have taken 3 different Subraus to Sahlani Brothers), they EXCEL in Subaru repairs (they own and love them as well).
