It was a service garage that Safelite worked out of. He was able to to do the work in a timely fashion and get me on my way. Unfortunately for me because I had liability insurance on the car in question, I had to cover the cost of the repair. But Im okay with that. Good job and good work for them, would look to them again if I had to.
I couldn’t be more pleased with the service I received from Joseph. They got me in right away and I was able to file my insurance information online with no hassle. When I arrived, Joseph was courteous and honest about the repair. He had it finished in about 15 minutes and did such a good job, we both had a hard time figuring out where the damage had been! 10/10
Matthew was my technician— he went above and beyond to make sure my windshield was perfect. The first time I had my windshield replaced my auto wipers stopped working— Matthew made sure to customize the windshield to make sure the auto wipers worked perfectly. He also took the time to make sure the seal was perfectly even. If possible I would request him to fix an future windshield problems!!
Great service. A semi kicked up a rock that cracked my windshield while driving on the highway. I called them right away and explained everything, gave them my insurance and location. They told me theyd call me when they were in route and they did just that. When they got to where my car was they explained the process and did the job efficiently. They said if I had issues in the future to give them a call because it was all under warranty. Super appreciative of their great work.
Had a chip from a stone to outer glass of windshield during traveling for the holidays. Chose to come home before getting it fixed. Made an appointment online yesterday for this morning. Was even able to get insurance info. online to find out theyd cover a repair!! Great service and was fast (20-30 min. while I waited.) You can barely see that its there (probably if you didnt know where it was you wouldnt notice it at all).I was early for my appointment (and yes, as I see another reviewer noted, the guy was on his phone, however, I was the one who was early and he was willing to take my car in early, so I wasnt going to complain that a business owner is taking care of business while waiting for my appointment time. It happens--and not everyone is early for their appointments.) He took my car in right away even though I was early.
You cannot talk to a live person, all they do is tell you to go to their website because thats how they now conduct business. Thats crazy, I had questions to ask. I dont mind scheduling online, but to do away with customer service support is a dumb concept. Needless to say I found a company who actually answers the phone and will talk to you! Thats who I went with!
Came to fix deliver truck window. They show up and cant fix. Needs replaced. No problem. EXCEPT didnt bother to let us no THEY JUST LEFT. . They say we canceled to reschedule. Lack of communication 100%. Had my delivery guys sitting around ON CLOCK for i dont no how long. Just saying what a disappointment on this company. BE AWARE. Wont ever use this company again. Thanks safelite!!!! No stars if i could.
Have a honda civis. Over the weekend passenger window stuck open. Not broke. made an apt on line. Monday am. got there early. Took me early & out the door really fast. It was unbelievable. Employee who i talked to really kind. I was having a bad week. He was the highlight for me. Back on the road!!!
Do not use them if you own a Ford Flex! No problems getting the windshield installed but they use aftermarket a pillar trim pieces that make a horrible noise. Last attempt they did to fix the problem was to reinstall aftermarket trim pieces with some glue to hold down the rubber seal that makes all the noise.still refusing to use OEM parts and now glue has worn off after a month and back to making noise again. Tried to call service manager again but has yet to return my call. Very disappointed in the service
Avon Ohio. Guy was very rude. Making phone calls and talking on while talking talking to customers. I asked for a price to fix a small chip in my windshield. He walks outside to look (Still on phone) and says 125 before I even showed it to him. No way he could see it from where he was. Tells me to take it to Cleveland because my truck wont fit in shop. P.S. had whole windshield replaced a year ago for 150. Different company. Guess Ill go back to them

2022-02-19Eric, the technician arrived on time within the scheduled window. He called earlier in the day to give an approximate time of arrival. He explained the process to replace my windshield and completed everything within an hour. I found it very easy to schedule the mobile service online and received texts of the progress throughout. I would definitely recommend Safelite Avon.

2022-03-13Started a repair online. The part is not found online. It said the agent would contact me within 30 minutes. Never happened. I tried calling three times. Automated and won’t let me through to anyone no matter what I do it tells me to go online, and hangs up on me. I should not have to beg to spend money here.

2021-10-10Let me start by saying I understand that mistakes happen I totally get it, so I will edit/update this review. Scheduled an appointment online which to me is a setup for failure choosing what I thought was my vehicle (only had a couple options and turns out none of them were it) but having gotten a call the day before my appointment ( which I jumped through a lot of hoops to make and cancelled appointments of my own) was told my appointment had to be moved to a different location reason being vehicle would not fit ( funny because the do mobile installs not in doors), after explaining that my vehicle is not what they think it is and I tell them exactly what it is and dimensions of it I was told to carry on with original time and place. Once I got there I was told that they had wrong glass (but was confirmed prior to appointment) and after a couple of calls by install tech I was sent on my way being assured someone would call me. Didnt happen so I called them and was told how sorry they were and offered the come to me service with fee being waived, was given a couple options on days but wasnt sure exactly where I would be then, told the person on phone plz give me a few minutes to check my schedule was told no problem and it all went even more downhill from there. Appointment days not available fee not waived on quote. And not the friendliest or knowledgeable agents on phone, so now I wait on the call again, ...... To be continued

2021-08-19Few things:1. My appointment was scheduled from 8a-12p, but the technician texted me with a window of 11a-1p. 1pm is not within the window that I agreed to, so I was worried that I would not have access to my car when I needed it. The technician arrived a little after 11a, though.2. They don’t share important info easily on the website, like that they will refuse to repair if the windshield is too hot. Had I known prior to the day of the appointment, I would have made accommodations to adequately prepare so as to not have my appointment rescheduled.3. Don’t go off of the live map they provide for their technicians because it isn’t accurate. The map said the tech was 45 minutes away but showed up in 3 minutes. To circumvent the issue I had with the window being hot, I was going to let my car AC run to cool the window down before the technician got there and when he showed up sooner than expected, it wasn’t possible.4. After the technician was done berating me about “not reading my texts” and scolding me for the windshield being too hot, I told him I would contact his manager and cancel my appointment because obviously this wasn’t going to work out. Once I said this, he loosened up and tried to assuage the situation. I appreciated his honesty that if he did end up working on the car with it being too hot, that the repair would fail. I’m not a windshield repairmen or expert, but I understood and appreciated his honesty in wanting to do it correctly the first time.5. Scheduling is easy and simple, but I guess the Avon location isn’t doing indoor shop repairs currently and that limits the scheduling options. The next available appointment that works with my schedule is 45mins away that the technician helped me schedule.Overall, I had a disappointing experience and I still don’t have my windshield fixed. Communication is a large issue, and being professional with customers would definitely help. I definitely did “read my texts”.
