Honestly I never leave reviews but this was necessary….we were hoping for the small local bar with good food and good service for a browns game without the crowd . Unfortunately that was far from our experience. Food was maybe average… & our waitress was very nice but honestly awful . It wasn’t busy by any means …. 2 hours for wings and a wrap is ridiculous.
Atmosphere: 10/10Cute homie vibes - perfect for the dive bar thats not too much of a dive experience. Lots of wood to warm the place up.Price: 10/10Great prices for what you get!Food: 11/10Great quality, portion size and flavor!!!!Service: 11/10Our bartender was speedy & efficient (it was a weekday) but he didnt spend a long time talking to one table and ignoring us, which I find common on slow days. He also was a comfortable guy teasing and creating banter. Had a great time!
First time back since pandemic. I get the chicken wing shortage. You at least are still serving the largest wings around. But how about maybe offering some fries or something else to offset. And when I ask for wings extra, EXTRA well done, I don’t expect to have to come home and put them in the air fryer for another 20 min. I should have checked, the server did not put notes on the order to have them well done. SMH. Loss in value AND can’t get the order correct. Sorry Rush, I used to sing your praises over all of Lakewood. I won’t badmouth you, but I am on the search for a new wing spot.
The food is wonderful 90 percent of the time. Fries are always good as well as the wings. If you order a well done burger its always burnt so I would recommend ordering medium well. The service isnt always fast. Whether I go to the bar or sit down usually it takes about 5 to 10 minutes to be greeted. I do see the servers and bartenders have a lot of regulars whom they are nice and friendly too.
Food is grossly over priced. Kenny doesn’t even care anymore. You can get the same exact potato skins at Riverwood for $3.00 less and get two more skins. Kitchen doesn’t care anymore. Used to be pretty good bar food. Now just average but priced like a steak house. Brendan has zero personality and now that Jeannie is gone it will go down hill.
Food was good. Our server barely came by to the table to check on us though. We had to flag her down for drink refills and to bring our check. They also dont allow you to order all flats or all drums for wings and they dont try to make it an even mix. If you like flats you might end up with one flat and all drums like I did the last 2 times Ive gone...
We’ve been going to the Rush for the last 12 years and have always had a great experience. One time it was short staffed due to an emergency and it had long wait times, but the staff made up for it.The wings have always been outstanding and are always well priced. Try the French Dip as well. Beer selection is always good and the staff is friendly and fast. When we’re looking for a quick date escape, this is it.
Amazing food and service. I couldnt get over how good the wings are and how thick and juicy they were. Definitely will be recommending and definitely coming back. The lady behind the car said she had been an employee for a very long time. She was definitely very helpful and made us feel right at home.
The Rush Inn is the first place I think of when I want a good sitdown Burger (even when I had to carry out!), and the Rush Burger is top on that list. I get it medium with tater tots and its truly a delicious experience.Right up there is amazing meals is their fish and chips meal, which features an *enormous* portion of cod for the value.Couple that with their always cool and attentive service, and its a place Ill be supporting as much as possible.
Went on Thursday to get wings, theyre 75 cents a wing & you can order however many you please no increments of 6 or 12. They have fast, friendly service & live music as well. The bar isnt too loud great for conversation plus booths are available on both sides of the restaurant so youll never feel crowded.
I’ve been to Rush Inn many times. We used to go weekly, but lately everything has been super inconsistent. We love the friendly staff and the food is typically good. Prices are reasonable. Unfortunately, when it’s busy the quality of everything seems to go down—food doesn’t get cooked all the way through and orders get messed up. We’ll still visit, but it’s not one of our favorites anymore.
I used to love to get a hangover burger and fries here...but...you got rid of the DELICIOUS shoestring fries..and I unfortunately lost my interest in coming here regularly for my burger fix because the new fries were just....meh... The staff is lovely though, and there are some good bottled beer/cider options...but I can get that anywhere. Please bring back those fries...they were so good! :(
One of my favorite spots in Lakewood. The service is always on point. Always. The menu items are also...always on point. Just the right amount of options and the only place I know of that has Beef Stroganoff as a staple, like most places would have...say, chicken fingers.Eat here. Drink here. Do it.
They make the BEST wing in Cleveland(On special Sunday mornings, Monday nights, and Thursday nights!!). No contest. Breaded to perfection and a great selection of sauces, including my personal favorite, mango jalapeno (its addicting and impossible to duplicate). However, they have a large menu if you arent feeling wings. PBR is always on special amongst the other good draft selections. Great staff.
Absolutely one of THE bars/restaurant to go to!! Their food is excellent and you KNOW you are getting very fresh, quality food! The chicken teriyaki sandwich had the sweetest, freshest pineapple on the sandwich (something I have not seen before). They have seasonal menu alongside their regular menu and they change that seasonal every 4 weeks or so, perfect!! They give you VERY generous portions and they have a program where after every 10th visit on lunch (only Thurs, Fri and Saturday lunch is served) you get a $10.00 gift card. The managers name is Melanie who also took care of us both times we went to lunch and she is one of the main reasons we went back. She is so sweet and was very attentive to us through the whole visit. Please give this long time establishment a try, you will NOT be sorry and their tater-tots are to die for, superb!!! We will reach our 10 visits very quickly!!
Best wings around. Whether you grab a dry rub or a saucy concoction these wings are to die for. And they are LARGE. im used to shoving 2 dozen wings into my gullet like its a hobby. But a dozen fills me up. I still get 2 dozen but i get 12 togo. Price isnt bad. Beer is good. Service is great as well. I will say the lakewood location REALLY needs to do something about their bathroom. Super steep, sketchy stairs and a ghetto thrown together closet of a bathroom. The Avon location has a modern atmosphere with live music. In lakewood you get more of a shot and beer vibe. I love both locations!
Rush inn was good for the fourth of July for me. My sister and I were planning to go elsewhere but the place was closed, and Rush Inn was a great alternative. The older female bar tender was absolutely great served us with cheer and kindness, and even recommended a drink we both tried. The younger server however was not as kind and hung all over what appeared to be a male customer. When I tried to make polite conversation she shut me down and said she worked there in a very rude manner. I left after this encounter and while I loved the bartender, the waitress made it so I didnt want to come back.
One of the MOST expensive places to eat and drink in this town. Which would be one thing if it didn’t look like 1980 inside with 14 stairs to a bathroom. Owner just ratchets up the prices every year, makes zero improvements, and has ZERO appreciation for loyalty of long standing employees.
This is a long-standing local treasure. It may look like a hole in the wall, but youll find it has a surprisingly decent menu - not just your typical bar food! Its also not so loud that you cant hear the conversation youre having, which makes it a great choice if youre meeting up with friends.
Where do I start...The wings here are quite possibly the answer to world peace. A flavor explosion, rivaled by none other, the chicken that were deemed worthy enough for the pleasure bathing themselves in the nectar of the kitchen-Gods are now free-range behind the pearly gates in Heavens special kitchen. Not only that, but the food is so precious, that my 2 year old manages to close the perpetual-energy machine she calls a mouth from the moment the food is brought out until that last, bittersweet moment her final wing is stripped clean, and a wing graveyard is all that remains.Plus, beer.
WINGS WINGS WINGS! Get them during their special night or any other day of the week. They really are a specialty that cannot be missed. They are crispy and juicy and HUGE! They come by the 1/2 pound, and that could be enough for many. Dont be afraid of the Fat Boy sauce; nacho cheese with BBQ! WOAH
I’ve been here multiple times and never had an experience like this. Me and my family are regulars here and we know the long time bar staff, usually we have genie and she is awesome. We had Eric tonight and it was the worst experience I’ve ever had in a restaurant before. He approached us got us drinks everything was all good, up until we ordered. Everyone put in there food order and he went back to the bar talking to other people for quite awhile, we sat with empty drinks for atleast 20 minutes. When he brings our food out (4 people, me, my mother, my aunt, and my friend) he also brings another “to go” box of food for bill. Who is my mothers fiancé and is out of town on a business trip in Illinois, mind you we are in Ohio. Before we even get to say anything he says he has ordered us another salad to go WITHOUT our permission for bill who is not even in the state. Even though we tell him this multiple times he still plays dumb like we are to stupid to notice he is trying to scam us. Fast forward a bit and we are waiting for the check, I will told him in the beginning that me and my friend were going to be separate on one check and my mother and her friend were going to be another check. He comes to the table and insisted it be on one check. Didn’t make me feel very comfortable after the whole salad thing. He brings me a check 39 dollars and some change is my total. Cool no problem, put my card in and he takes it 15 minutes later. Comes back with my card and bill, hands it to my mother. We switch check presenters only to find out that he had taken the original copy of my 39 dollar total out completely and charge me another 15 dollars for the extra salad that he rang in that no one ordered after we told him no multiple times. I ask him to come to the table and question him about why he had taken my original copy out and why my bill had went from 39 to 56 and he started to get mean and angry. He got in my face and spit all over us while he claims he was doing bill a favor. BILL IS NOT IN OHIO. We came here to have a good time with me mom and her friend and Eric ruined it completely, we have been regulars for awhile but WILL NOT be coming back. Don’t come here unless you want to be scammed.
I gave this place one star because I had to give a star to get to the review portion. Its 4 something on a Saturday afternoon and someone is absolutely abusing the touch tunes music player. Playing Bawitdaba and the rest of these Kid Rock songs and such an obscene volume is unacceptable. The staff should really be taking care of this and they dont seem to be bothered. The service otherwise has been great and Im sure the food is ok too, but I wont know because I CANT stick around to find out. Really, Kid Rock..
I live on Kenilworth and like the Tavern there. But it is nothing like what happens at the Rush. The Kenilworth has nothing on the food at the Rush. There is no bartender in Lakewood like Jeannie. There is only one place in Lakewood to enjoy yourself and learn a thing or two. That place is the Rush.

2022-07-31I’m not sure if I didn’t have wings in a long time or if these are the best wings I’ve had in my wife. The wings were so juicy and tasty. Although the portions of fries were tiny, they were goods. I ordered ten honey bbq wings and fries, and my bill was $19. The seating was a bit uncomfortable, but overall great experience and great food. I will return againIf you find this review helpful, please leave a thumbs up🙃

2022-04-30This has become our Friday night Tavern experience. Really dig the locals vibe, friendly service and a delicious perch dinner with OMG mini potato pancakes. The appetizers and chili are both winners, too. We were hapoh as frogs.

2022-07-23Their wings are the best. They come breaded or naked with a variety of sauces. Their RusInn sald is also very good.

2020-03-07Cozy environment for a nice night out in a Lakewood staple. The aromna of garlic and fried food made for a Friday fish fry. Perogies with French onion dip was phenomenal. The FISH FRY was better than the fish and chips. Great drafts and company.

2022-03-03Tasty food but absolutely horrible service. Bartender/waitress was too busy doing shots with the staff and friends at the bar to attend to us. When she did, forgot our drinks and our food. I had to tell her what we ordered for our bill. Embarrassingly bad. This place has unfortunately gone way downhill.

2022-01-31My wife and I had an impromptu date night when we were able to get a last minute baby-sitter. Mazzi was our server and she was nothing short of amazing!! She was attentive, sweet and just overall darling! The food was soooo yummy too! We will definitely be back to see Mazzi and try something else delicious from the menu!!
