Ordered dragon noodles to go. Service is great. But the noodles were over cooked and there were barely any veggies or meet. Flavor was good but idk that I’d go back.
One of the best Thai restaurants I have been to in a long while. The food was excellent. I dint have to wait long and the server was very polite and pleasant. I would strongly recommend this restaurant based on my experience.

The Pad Thai chicken was fantastic! I ordered it medium spicy and it was hotter than most Thai restaurants I have been to. Adjust accordingly. That said, I will order it the same way next time. I like a sweet hot afterburn!
My wife and I went for the first time and walked out. The place is not fancy at all and the prices are really high. There wasnt one person in there when we went. A simple stir fry with vegetables was gonna be $13.99. Everything is priced separate. By the time you get an egg roll for $5.00 and a drink you might as well go someplace nicer and get a steak. We wanted to eat there, but not at those prices.👎☹️ Sorry
Plan on a little bit of time for your food but well worth the wait. Fantastic authentic Thai food. We get takeout from here constantly and they never let us down.
I just ordered the chicken in coconut milk soup and the Pad Thai Beef. It is so salty I cannot eat it. The soup contained two tiny pieces of chicken and contained tomatoes. Ive eaten this all over the US and never had tomatoes in it. This was a total waste of my money. I cook Thai myself but enjoy ordering it once in awhile. Never again
The green curry is amazing and you can change your spice level to whatever you are comfortable with. A must go restaurant while in Heath. Family owned business that is happy to welcome regulars and walk-ins with a happy smile and fantastic authentic Thai grub!
Incredibly good food! Loved the Thai Mamasan(sp?). Friendly, efficient service, short wait for food after ordering. Nice decor, easy parking. Cant wait to go back and try something new!

This post is long overdue... my family and I love Royal Thai. We used to visit occasionally but the new family running this restaurant are simply amazing. Our food is always exceptional and the order is always ready when they promise. But its the staff that really makes this place remarkable. Strongly encourage anyone to try this place.
Was just passing through for the day and wanted to get lunch with a friend. Holy cow this went above and beyond my expectations. Perhaps one of my favorite Thai restaurants ever?? And I love my Thai food. I got the Pad Thai and the spices were much more robust than I am used to and the noodles were cooked to perfection. I think there was a hint of cinnamon flavor? Not sure what but boy did it work well. Also perfectly spicy just the right kick. The waitress was absolutely lovely and even recognized my friend who has been in before. Who would have thought in small town Ohio there was this little gem. Still thinking about that meal now!

The food is outstanding. when ordering you can choose a spicy level from 1-10 on some dishes. I recommend going a little under what you think you may like. I like my spicy food to have a little kick and a 3 is usually good for me. The people are friendly as well.
By far the best restaurant in town. The new owners are absolutely fantastic, and they didnt change the menu. If you havent given this place a try now is the time. Every person that I take here gets addicted.
They went over and above -- my wife locked her keys in her car, and they stayed with her for over an hour even though their store was closed. Wonderful people!! And the food is AMAZING, we always eat here when we are in the area :)

Something has changed! The food isnt like it was. Where it had been consistently excellent, it is now mediocre at best! The last 3 times Ive ordered dinner, it seems the taste and textures are lacking! If this continues, Royal Thai will no longer be a place I go. Please resolve issue.
This place has changed! I noticed right away it wasnt the same people running it from the last time I came here (granted that was 4 years ago) but I was so disappointed with the presentation! The menu was different, the people were different and the food wasnt exactly what I remember it to be! Just wasnt that good! Not even close! Probably wont ever return. Given I live further away now. But when I do come to town, this will not be somewhere I suggest anymore... Sorry.
In the top 3 best restaurants in the Newark/Heath area in my opinion. The owners are very friendly and the food is delicious. You can increase the spicy hot level of any dish on a scale of 1-10. I like spicy food but I stick to around a 3-4. The restaurant is clean. The serving size is generous. Highly recommended!

Can’t judge a whole restaurant based on one dish but…the pad won sen is not great. No flavor, sad veggies, randomly has bell peppers, not very many noodles. The tofu is good though.
The food is great and so is the service! I was staying at the Hampton beside it and have been eating there every night. Everything has been good. They can handle GF requests too.
This was my first time eating Thai food since I moved to Ohio 7 years ago. I was craving some Pad Thai so I ordered some shrimp Pad Thai to go. Omg. It was so good. Just enough spiciness (level 2) and tons of flavor. Only $12 during lunch hours. I will be back for more!
I went to this restaurant a couple years and tried the crispy duck. It was very good. It has a good amount of fat but very tasty. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area. Too bad I live in Illinois and cant visit this place often. Service was also great.
This is my favorite Thai place and my family’s too! The masaman curry is heaven sent and they made my food to order when my dietary needs changed which I appreciate so much. And excellent Thai tea!
Under new management! Fantastic hidden gem in Heath, Ohio. Owners are extremely hospitable and welcoming every visit. I have traveled down the menu and would recommend trying any of the items. Thai Iced team is a great drink to tame the heat if you like it hot! Beef pad Thai is my favorite. The hot scale 1 mild-10 Hot Lava. I average 3-4, would not go above 5 unless you have built up a tolerance. We always get gyoza, chicken pot stickers, steamed and fried. The chicken egg rolls are delicious and the spring rolls are equally as good. Try the chicken lemongrass soup it’s rich and full of flavor. Dine in or take out!

Fantastic! Stopped in randomly looking for food waiting to go to Legend Valley for a festival - such a gem! Spice level was actually on point - on a scale of 1-10 I did a 10 and it was FIRE. So good.

I absolutely love this restaurant. The most authentic Thai food I have had. I am a big fan of their Currys and noodle dishes. The restraunt is owned by a husband and wife and they really make you feel like family. This is my go to favorite sit down restraunt. If you have not been here before...go!

It does take a while to get your food like any nice sit down restaurant, but is well worth the wait !! The food is excellent and anything you order will be amazing and healthy. No msg or added oil, you feel energized instead of weighed down after the large portion of food is served that you wont be able to stop eating. It also has tons of great vegetarian options just talk to them about your preferences.

My favorite place to go to Thai food. I’ve tried other restaurants but none of them come close to Royal Thai. The owners are so nice, and I look forward to seeing them each time I come in; and also knowing I’m about to eat a great meal! My favorite is the Pad Thai with tofu and chicken. Yum!

The doctor I work for orders here several times a week. He always says how great his food is, But we are always having to call 4-5 times before someone answers the phone right when they open and sometimes we have never gotten an answer. Today I called in to order his lunch and they tell me they dont have what he wanted, so I asked for the women to hold on one second so I could ask him what else he would want and she hung up the phone. I drive to the restaurant to order his food and there was only one table in there. She finally takes my order and tells me theres no hot peppers, I said what do you mean? She states no peppers we dont have time for that! Moral of the story we love the food here but the service could be better.

Royal Thai consistently serves some of the best food in Central Ohio. Ive not had a bad dish here, and the service is nice. If you like Thai food, spend the afternoon checking out the Indian Mounds, then go to Royal Thai for dinner.
Great lil hole in the wall spot off beaten path. Great food will make it mild, or as hot as you want. Inside you will find hard working lady run register and serve a whole room full of people. Well worth seeking out, and supporting small business.
We came here Friday to celebrate my friends birthday! Experience the worst restaurant ever!9 of us wait for one and half hour and get nothing on our table! All the customers came later finished their dinner, the server was super rude since we came to the store! We do not know why, she is a absolutely racism and did not show any respect to her guests! We never had such terrible experiences with any restaurant! She not only rude with us, lots of our friends and other customers told us she is also rude to them!If you do not want to serve people, DO NOT DO RESTAURANT! If you do plz show your respect!
First visit - very good! I got the green curry which is my goto Thai dish. Very tasty. I asked for extra spicy and it was but it still had great flavor. Lots of green beans and broccoli in the curry and a fair amount of Thai basil. My wife got the phad Thai ordered spicy. Good flavor and good portion size. As I remember it the curry was about $11 and the phad thai about $10. We will visit whenever we are in Heath!
Went there with a decent sized group. Had excellent service and excellent food. Had to wait a little bit for our food, but theyre not really set up for large groups so it wasnt that bad. Would definitely recommend it to anyone!!
Great food! Be careful of their hours. The first time we stopped by the food was great! Very nice wait staff.The second time I tried going here, I arrived at 2:15. The door was locked. A gentleman did come to the door and he said it was closed. I said the sign says 2:30. He said sorry were closed. If not for this, they would have gotten a better rating. Today, customer service was lacking
I usually go elsewhere for Thai food, but, no more. The food at Royal Thai is spectacular. The green curry knocked my socks off and the service was friendly and inviting. I will be eating here often.
The waitress used to be much nicer, but the past few times Ive been here, shes been rude and unhelpful. It took 5 minutes to receive drinks and we never received a refill after they were empty. My food was made wrong and rather than remaking it correctly, she insisted that it wasnt her fault and that the cooks made it wrong and wouldnt remake it. It was not taken off of our check either. I will never return here.
Staff here is nothing short of AWESOME. I hope Royal Thai is around for a very long time because I love going there every chance I get! The Pad Thai here is delicious!

The food was great HOWEVER!!! The woman who owned the restaurant and served us was the RUDEST human. She was not kind in her manner promptly attempted to kick us out at 3:02 (the store closes at 3 for dinner) even though there was still food on our plates.Good food. AWFUL EXPERIENCE.

This restaurant ruined my day... We came all the way here and waited 1 and half hour on my birthday. They didn’t serve us food for the entire time and told us “we have to follow the steps”. But we’ve been waiting hungry since 5! Finally we left because we don’t feel any respect here. I would not recommend anyone coming.

I believe its someone else has bought the Royal Thia restaurant or a different chef / hash cook was there because there was a definite lack of flav or there was a definite lack of chef cuisine the even the decoration for the plate the carrot butterfly was absent the soup that we had some guy was flat had no mushrooms didnt have the lemongrass had nothing in it that was reminded of the first few times that we had gone to Royal Thai the cashew chicken that I ordered had no cashews at all when we questioned they had run out when we ask for the cheese Rangoon they had run out this was on an early Friday evening they would have had plenty of time to replenish and seeing as it was the first of the month they would have had no problem having any kind of stores they needed for their supplies we did not receive a decent meal the chicken that was supposed to have been with the cashew chicken and two meals was nothing more than bits and pieces it was not bite it was nothing like it had been before the soup instead of having several layers of flavor had one hot flavor hot not temperature hot we hadnt even asked for hot but we were given the hottest seasoning that they had when we asked about it we didnt ever get a response back plus the persons who are waiting on us were not Asian descent to my knowledge the people that were owners of this restaurant where are of Asian descent and some of the most incredibly gifted and talented people in the waiting and in the cooking are they the chef previous chew the arm a visit could have done anywhere in the world and Bennett 10 star chef this last two visits were horrible I do think it had to been under some new owner because the original chef would never have gone on line and written a comment calling themselves the owner and then have the tremasity to call what they put on a plate as good food..Whoever cooked the two times we went to this restaurant for dinner ...is NOT the MULTIFACETED TALENT that the CHEF who prepared our meals back in March.Whoever cooked for us in March, April and May Does NOT EVEN HAVE THE SKILL to cook as Well as those worn out Mobile Roach Coach cooks that stay just one light ahead of the health inspectors.No..the actual original owner of this restaurant would never have spoken out bringing attention to himself or his business. These people are very talented , fine and Modest ...Always. and people who owned the business before they seem to have been bought out or had their business taken from them..over the difference in the meals and the atmosphere are as obvious as black and white , up or down and left to write recently the initial chef and owner of the business was modest hard-working and extremely gifted. We plan on going there again if you wakes I do hope that the initial owners of business have comeback from maybe being on vacation or maybe they had to go and visit relatives otherwise things have definitely changed for the worst.I hope the wonderful family who were there are okay..and that wherever they are..that they come back soon.

Good food but they never answer phone calls. Ive had them pick the phone up and just leave it so that I couldnt call. I tried multiple days. Not sure what their issue is with pickup orders, but I hate their practice.

Worst restaurant experience I have ever had! Service was aggrivating, and it had no atmosphere unless you count the overwhelming odor of chemicals. They forgot my food even with only two seated tables in the restaurant. For fifteen minutes everyone in the restaurant (including the employees and everyone else at my table) were eating happliy except for me. When they finally noticed and served my food, I take a bite and am stabbed in the gums with a bone(in a bite size peice of duck). Upon further inspection the dish wasnt cooked just warmed. Appetite ruined, I asked it be taken off the bill. The waiter said that he could not and offered only a discount in a manner that suggested he was doing me a favor. Avoid this place!

Food was great and very authentic however the service was awful. Didnt get a refill until I was ready to pay. The waitress was very rude to our table and rushed us out right at 3:00 on a Saturday because they close for lunch.

2022-01-26Legit Thai dish with spicy and sour taste. The duck roast is crispy outside, but soft inside. You can ask them how much spicy you want, they can make it mild or really spicy. Good place to try Thais style fried rice and tea.

2022-03-05Was staying at the Hampton for a hockey tournament and decided to try for lunch. Small place with very attentive service. Food came out fast and very tasty. Had the fried dumplings that come with a sweet sauce. Also had the beef Pad Thai.

2022-05-11I used to really enjoy eating here. First, I will start by saying the staff is friendly. The flavor of the food is good. However the last three times I’ve ordered my meal is mostly onions. I always pick the onion out. There is literally more onion than all other vegetables and chicken combined that is unacceptable. Especially for the price of the meal. Very disappointed

2022-06-10I got the Yellow Curry and my mom got the Pineapple Rice with chicken.The waitress was the kindest woman and trippe checked our order. She brought many refills. The crab rangoon is a MUST if you come!

2022-03-11Everything was hot and fresh, the service was pretty quick, seeing as they make the Curry to-order, LOVED the yellow chicken curry sauce! Also got the Tom Yum Chicken soup. I have a gluten/dairy allergy and didnt have any issues with my order or feeling sick after. Definitely will be back again.

2022-04-19I stopped at this restaurant for dinner while on a road trip. I got the duck curry and it was very delicious! The duck was cooked well and a bit spicy - I recommend getting extra rice if you aren’t good with spices.The customer service was awesome! I definitely recommend this place if you want yummy Thai food and duck - they have quite a few dishes with it!

2022-05-17Server was extremely cheerful & attentive to every request regarding our orders. Food was very good & served attractively...(two egg rolls were sliced & placed upon a paper doily with orange dipping sauce)...a pleasant change from the usual soy sauce. There was also a variety of fried rice options; FREE refills on sodas, & hot pot of tea. Also, this is just one of a very few places that have the DINE-IN option! A little pricey, but then again....everything is becoming expensive!

2022-02-21The food is delicious. I especially enjoyed the Massaman curry. Other family members who like spicier food like the yellow curry at level 6 spice. The pineapple and the mango fried rice are also good. The minor downside is that the wait for food takes a long time as each dish is prepared. So be sure to order appetizers.

2022-03-06Loved the atmosphere, service, and food. The crab rangoon was the best I have ever had. The Thai salad was very light with good textures. The spicy lemon grass soup with shrimp was incredible. My only regret is I was just staying overnight in the area.
