Matt was awesome and did really good work. What should’ve been an easy fix, turned into a much bigger job. We had a leak coming from the toilet which was the original reason we needed them to come out. The only reason this review is getting 4 stars is because they originally said the plumber would be there at 10am and he didn’t show up until about 2:30/3pm. We did call the company and everyone we spoke to was super helpful. As Matt worked he unfortunately found multiple other problems and instead of doing the bare minimum and fixing the first problem only, he fixed everything that he could. He had to come back for the second day and he showed up on time and worked quickly. He worked constantly and quickly when he was there and we eventually got everything fixed that we needed.
I had the pleasure of working with Vernon loyd 3994 and he was amazing. He was knowledgeable of the problem and helped me get the best price possible and stayed till it was fixed right. It leaked after the disposal was installed and he fixed it to make sure there was no leaks at all. He was professional and courteous and I would use them again! So glad I have a kitchen sink and disposal that does not leak anymore!!!
From the moment I received the phone call to the time they left, I was very impressed. I was greeted by Ben who handled insurance claims, then moments later Kevin #5040, the technician. He walked us threw everything and did an amazing job. At the end his field supervisor Ben showed up, and followed up with everything that was done and will be needed done.I would recommend this company and if you ever need them, request Kevin.
Adam was very professional and respectful of us and our home. He called us to let us know he was on his way and showed up on time! He was fair and honest. Gave us a detailed estimate and took the time to answer our questions. He was thorough in his work and got the problem fixed and cleaned up everything afterwards. Adam was really great from start to finish. We were happy to have our problem fixed the same morning that we called for service. Wouldnt think twice about calling again the next time we need a plumber and will definitely request Adam.
100% recommend. I went online, scheduled when I wanted someone to come out, got a call and Matt Z actually came early. I gave Matt a messy plumbing situation after we tried to do it ourselves. He gave me price point options, he wasnt pushy, and he explained everything he was doing, and why. He replaced pipes under my kitchen sink, and he replaced lead pipe in the basement and got our toilet and outside faucet working again. A week later we had him back to replace the main shut off. He was incredibly flexible considering Cleveland water didnt turn our water off the day he was scheduled. He followed through, was incredibly polite, and clearly took pride in his work.

Great customer service working with John. My husband and I just moved into this house last week. John helped us detect an area in the shower where it was not fully sealed around a faucet and gave us Information for what we needed to do as new homeowners. Thanks for the help, glad we have a very easy fix on our hands. We will be in contact if we have any issues in the future.
Our technician, Jake, did a great job from start to finish. He was very respectful and professional. He did a great job diagnosing the problems, describing the work needing done, as well as presenting the costs for the work. We were very pleased with Jakes work and will try to request him for any future plumbing needs.
Although they were almost 6 hours out of our scheduled time, they kept me informed of them being late amd assured they were still coming. The problem was fixed, the price was better than expected. Didnt take long at all. The plumber was courteous and knowledgeable. I do love that I didnt have to wait days/weeks for an appointment.
Greg was the absolute best. He went above and beyond. I got completely screwed over by the previous home owner and he worked tirelessly for me for 2 days straight trying to set it right. Was lucky to get same day service for a garbage disposal replacement. Tech (Corey) was excellent. He came out, gave me a quote and was able to do the work in that visit. I had an appointment a little over an hour after he started but he got the old one out, replacement in, cleaned up and went over everything with me and I still got out on time. He did a great job and I would definitely recommend.
Larry was superbly professional, friendly, and explained everything he was going to do/did. Called and had John from the restoration dept to. come and explain how to file claim with insurance with offer to help file/answer any questions we might have. Field supervisor came and explained issues that we needed to be aware of due to age of house and what not. Will most definitely use Roto-rooter again and request Larry if at all possible and available. Thank you all so, so much!
My Technician Kyle was very informative and professional. I didn’t feel like he was trying to sell or give me services that were not needed. I had many questions and some concerns and he answered all of them professionally and kindly. Matthew was great from the minute he showed up. He explained what he was going to do and why and when he ran into some unexpected challenges while cleaning out the drain, he called his supervisor (Ben) and they devised a new plan. Camden arrived right on time and had a super pleasant attitude. He took the time to inspect all the plumbing in my home and educate me on things to put attention to as a new homeowner. He also explained about all of the services that Roto Rooter offers so that I would know in what instances they could help. I really appreciated his knowledge of his field and his simplified explanations of things for me.
Super helpful and kind. I knew there was a leak that had previously been fixed, but suddenly there was water again. The plumber looked and he didn’t find an issue at first. I asked him to try a couple more things. He was happy to hear me out and look in spots that weren’t obvious. Low and behold we found the gasket of the overflow drain was installed backward and causing the new problem. I’m grateful he didn’t insist there wasn’t an issue and that he was willing to think creatively to help me solve the problem. It is always worth a lot to me when a contractor believes me.
Amazing experience with Roto Rooter and cannot thank their team enough! Dispatch listened to the situation and understood it was an emergency. They had a plumber out to us on a Saturday evening even earlier than anticipated.Our plumbing expert, Corey, was fantastic. He was personable and professional. Our situation was complicated and he was great at problem solving and finding the source of the issue (which happened to be in the condo above us!). He gave us options for repairs and solutions. Finding a pipe leak at midnight is not fun. I called and was able to get some one to come out Monday morning by 9 am. First I received a confirmation call at 7:45 and Dylan arrived to my phone at 8:46. He was very nice and professional, he came it, listened to my issue, went to my basement to check it out and then talked to me to explain what he could do to fix the issue. He explained things well, wrote up an estimate, checked his truck for what he needed, saw he was missing what he needed. Told he he would go and get the stuff and come back. He returned in an hours time, got to work and did a solid job. He showed me his work, we checked it together and things were fine. Thank you Dylan, great job.
Had some water backup in our basement after a heavy storm, and I was very pleased at being able to secure an appointment time online for the coming week and receive text updates on when I would expect my service technician on the day of the appointment. Matt was very respectful & professional with assessing all potential & possible issues, and was able to clearly explain the findings and future hiccups to watch out for. I hope I don’t need to call on Matt and Roto-Rooter any time in the near future, but if I do- I am glad to know through my experience that they are more than capable to take on any projects or issues in the future.
Jake and his assistant were very friendly and courteous. Jake gave me all the repair options and costs involving our badly backed up toilet. He and his sidekick tried several times to unplug it using the cheaper option…and it worked! Could have easily “uncharged me.” Even gave me a $75 discount. This is what reliable, honest service is all about. If you call Roto-Rooter…ask for Jake!
Jake was our serviceman and he did an amazing job. When all hope seemed lost he found another access point and within minutes our bathtub was draining. Jake humored my children and their questions was extremely knowledgeable and wouldnt give up. I will not only use Roto Rooter for all my plumbing issues, but will be requesting Jake specifically.

Greg was wonderful with help our family out with multiple plumbing issues in the home. He was extremely friendly, explained in detail what he was doing and why, did the service in a timely manner and cleaned up so well you wouldnt know he was there. If we ever have another issue, we will call back and ask for Greg by name.
Absolutely incredible service! We had them come out when we noticed a backup in our laundry room. Turns out how sewer line was the problem. The tech was here for a couple of hours but managed to get the line clear. They’re sending out another guy with a camera to check the line and see what the future looks like for no extra charge! That’s a nice little add on to help us prepare in case there’s a bigger issue, rather than being surprised by it in the future. While we didn’t use it, they do offer payment plans as well!
Ryan was completely professional prompt honest straightforward and extremely qualified. He explained every step to me make sure I understood and was empathetic to the fact that the service was costly. Understood my needs as a customer and did above and beyond as far as diligence and honesty. This young man will be the reason I return to roto rooter.
John came over on a Sunday to assist with a disconnected pipe under our kitchen sink. Each time a decision needed to be made, John provided updates throughout his work time, and offered options regarding our choices of the work he could complete for us. There was no cleanup needed after his departure, and the work area was left better than when John began. We are exceedingly pleased with his work and the guarantees that were made as part of our work contract.
Bryan and Adam were amazing! They came to replace the basement utility tub, but noticed some corrosion on the faucet heads, saving us from a nightmare in the near future. They also were able to come up with a way to fix our cracked sewer pipe- without having to drill into our basement floor! It was a very long day for them, but the results are incredible. They were courteous, professional, and most importantly, very competent! Would definitely request them for any future needs!
Our gas company came out and cut off my gas because I had a gas leak. I called R/R to find the leak. The tech who was pleasant, skilled and diplomatic. On my way to the basement, we passed the stove and he said, in passing, that it could be a culprit. After looking around it the basement he made some recommendations (update gas valve and a union). He also alerted me that he might have to cut out some of the basement ceiling. I was appreciative that he alerted me to that possibility since it had financial consequences. (As it turns out, he didnt need to do any cutting.)When he pulled the stove out from the wall he immediately saw the culprit: a coil was compromised. He asked me the age of the stove. I told him I had lived in the house for 22 years. He said that he was happy to make the repair, but I might want to consider purchasing a new one. I decided to get a new stove after I saw online that stoves typically have a about 15 year life expectancy.
Wow what an amazing service. They came in a few hours of me calling them, and provided amazing services. They diagnosed the issue and got to work right away. They (Kevin) was thorough and extremely professional. I was amazed how cost efficient the service was especially for the job done. I will use again if the situation arises.

Chuck was great about providing updates and showing me what he was doing and why, which I appreciated. It was an expensive repair, but when he showed me the sink drain pipe that had rusted completely shut, it was clear all the work was necessary. He also got along wonderfully with my dog.

When the young men came to my home for a plumbing issue in the basement all three times they were nothing but respectful. The first night they came they came out and saw what was going on said it would be a 5 hour job and would have to come back another day. They got here the following day and they spent hours trying to fix the problem in the basement. These guys didn’t leave till almost 12am. He said ma’am we have one problem fixed it you are able to use all of your rubbing water now but you can’t use the washer because it will back the basement up. I said okay well what do we do about that. He said I will come back out tomorrow and work on that. AS I was pulling in my driveway him and his partner were already at the house working on the. Last problem. They Spent maybe two hours working on that system however they resolved all of my issues with no complaints just sweat and tears.
Kyle is a true professional. He called me with an ETA and said he was downstairs earlier than he had predicted. The removal and disposal of the garbage disposal were labor intense and time-consuming, yet never once did he any indication that he was tired, frustrated, or overwhelmed. Each time that he needed to go back to his van for a part or a tool, he notified me android what he was bringing up and why. It was impressive how he laid the parts and pieces of the pipes out as if they were a giant jig saw puzzle. I checked in on him from time to time, and he answered all of my questions patiently and used terms I could understand without talking down to me. I appreciated that. What I appreciated the most was his clean-up. In my opinion, he went above, and beyond cleaning up, so nothing was left behind. It was a pleasant surprise to learn that I have a years warranty on the parts. Ill have to find a new home for the bucket that lived under my sink, catching the leaking water for months. I am a satisfied customer.I will recommend your company to neighbors, co-workers, family, and friends. Kyle did such a good job that I doubt that I will need a plumber here again. However, if I do, I will not hesitate to call Roto-Rooter and request Kyle by name. Thank you very much. Roto Rooter responded to our request to clean out the main drain from house to street within an hour. The rep was professional, thorough and knowledgeable. He took care to minimize any mess and cleaned all debris once he was done. Price was reasonable and we are happy our drains are working properly again after he cleared out a mess of tree roots! I would definitely recommend Roto Rooter and will use them again in the future.

John was very professional and communicative during the whole process despite working along side Cleveland Water. John made the repairs very fast, and we were grateful to have him fix everything in a timely manner. I would highly recommend Roto-Rooter plumbing.
Kyle was amazing and on time. He fixed the issue in no time. I thought I was going to hate my experience because they gave me a window of arrival 12-4 and I received a called at almost 9pm stating they had to reschedule. They gave me a 10% discount but the service was still pricey but overall I really like Kyle and his honesty.
Alex the technician was thorough with the installation, He took time to explain what he did. After installation, dirty water was coming out of the faucets and he took time to drain the tank to ensure clean water. I am satisfied with the service. Excellent.

Had a water main leak that was noticed in the evening. Called the 24 hour line and scheduled an appointment for the next morning. The technician was prompt, knowledgeable, and efficient. The tech assessed and repaired all three issues in a couple of hours. The price was very reasonable given the repair prevented an event that would have caused damages that would have cost 10 to 15 times more to repair

Sump pump failed, they came out the next morning and were able to replace and install new sump pump. Chuck our technician was very helpful and informative. He explained what happened and how the new pump would work. Was able to answer all my questions especially since the whole basement flooded, it was an unpleasant new experience but Chuck did a great job to help alleviate part of that problem.
Our shower drain clogged on a Saturday. The companies we contacted said they would come out for a service call, but never showed up. Another emergency plumber charged our credit card twice, and didnt call! Roto-Rooters plumber, Doug was fantastic and very professional. He explained everything to my husband and resolved our issues. I would use this company again.
I would absolutely recommend this service to anyone. The technician was friendly, courteous, efficient, and extremely helpful. We ended up needing a new toilet and he went to Home Depot to pick it up so that I didn’t have to struggle with it. I’m so pleased with this experience and will use them again in the future
Rene was very friendly and very helpful! He made sure to give me lots of tips so that I don’t mess up my drains again. This is the second time I’ve used Roto Rooter and I will use them again in the future. I really needed service and the company that was recommended to me by my apartment’s property management company never contacted me and I wasn’t able to get ahold of them. Roto Rooter was the one that I contacted on a Friday night and they were able to service my apartment Saturday morning.

Our Roto-Rooter, was very polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. He explained to my husband what he wanted to do, and did that. Checking all our drains to make sure they were open when he finished. He called his supervisor to take a picture of the drain to make sure it was open to the sewer, the picture showed that there was a problem at the city side of the drain, that could have caused our blocked. This was for replacement of the faucets at our washing machine. The original work was done with copper piping in the 1970s (or earlier) and the seal around the faucets were failing. Jaime came in right on time, was able to put in a much needed water hammer arrestor and shut-off valve for the cold and hot water taps. We live in a 100+ year old home, so knowing we dont need to worry about water leaks relieves a lot of stress! Highly recommend his work!
Went above and beyond to fix the issue. Advised the homeowner (Me) of every action needed and possible causes and the steps needed to complete the job. This job was a recall due to the unusual circumstances in regards to the leak . There was a disposable replaced and also a beautiful recommended faucet was replaced. John gave us a great discount. JUST a note the previous plumber did everything right its just this one did a little more troubleshooting. He took the disposal apart and put it together several times. When the issue still was not fixed he stayed to troubleshoot showing me the customer exactly what it could be. He then found the real issue and replaced the faucet with a great looking Moen Faucet. Alex and Mike were very professional. They were able to install a new water tank expansion tank and correct the pressure in my house. Took about 30 mins after they retrieved the parts. Also explained exactly what was wrong and how they were going to fix it.

The guys came out to update the refrigerator water line. We received a next day appointment, which was great!! They were very pleasant, professional and fast. We would definitely recommend and use again.
They put in a herculean effort to get my main line cleared but needed a pressure tool. They did not charge me a penny for the near 4 hours they spent trying to open the line back up. John was great and though going to take another day with a different truck with a specialty tool, would strongly recommend them anytime.

We need regular cleaning to get rid of roots in our lines. Roto-rooter has been our go to for the last couple years. Always professional and very clean. Usually able get here the same day we call and the one time it was an emergency, they were here in a couple of hours.
Our tech, Rene, was professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. Id recommend him for any plumbing job.Edit: Extensive repairs made after additional service led to a leak in my basement. This can unfortunately happen of course, but my chief complaint (and the reason for the 1 star review) rests with dispatch. I called in the evening and was told someone would be out that same night. A few hours pass and I call back, only this time Im told someone will call me the next morning to schedule an appointment.Check the Roto-Rooter website: youll see a proud proclamation of 24/7 service. Well, thats a false claim. The repair job mentioned above was quite costly--I expected a prompt response to remedy the situation. Instead, Im left with a leaky basement.I wouldnt recommend Roto-Rooter to anyone.

We had a large job for Roto-Rooter and all the technicians that we had at the house we all not only very professional but also very nice & friendly. Called at 8:30 pm for a plumbing issue: tub and shower clogged, toilet and tub backup, water overflow into the ceiling. Roto Rooter was able to send a plumber. Camden was fantastic! He came out to my house around 10:30 pm the same evening and addressed our plumbing concerns and worked tirelessly to try and unclog the drain till 2 am. We have an older home built in 1941 so the drains/p-traps are complicated.The next morning, Camden’s supervisor Corry came out first thing the next morning and was able to get to the root of the problem. The 90 degree elbow under the floor needed replacing. There were tree roots in the lines.Thank you to Camden, Corry, and Arya who all played a significant role in addressing my plumbing issue.Rooter Rooter has always been available when I have needed emergency service; from water back up, clean up/restoration and now plumbing service. They are timely, professional, knowledgeable and take the time to listen and explain what they will be doing and give you options. Roto Rooter has the most professional and dedicated staff. Water heater gave out overnight and these guys stuck around late getting the new one in and cleaned up next day. Even helped me with a small problem on a toilet upstairs while they were here. Good guys. Didnt have luxury of time to shop for other prices but I paid what I expected to so I cant complain.

I had a leak in my kitchen from my shower. They came out. Vern was very nice and helping me understand everything. However the company in general is very money hungry. They came out and insisted on doing an asbestos check, which for safety of the plumbers I understand. They ripped up my bathroom flooring and cut a huge hole in my ceiling. So another plumber from Roto rooter came out to look at the leak and couldn’t find the leak, he was there for at most 10 minutes. So he told me to use the shower and find it myself and take a video…. I finally had another plumber come out for a different company who told me it wasn’t the plumbing it was the caulking around my bath faucet. So i had to pay from insurance $4000 for something that only costed $175 only because their plumber didn’t want to be bothered to find the leak and had me do it. Also had Roto rooter come out at the same time for a water pipe to be removed and a water line to be added for dishwasher and refrigerator. They charged me $1100 which I said seemed high but they assured me it wasn’t. That same guy who came and did the water line saw the hole in my ceiling and said he could just replace all my pipes without finding the leak and “that should fix it”. Right then and there something told me to never use them again. They don’t care about the customer they only care about the money.
First I want to commend Roto-Rooter for their hiring practices. THESE GUYS WERE SPOT ON and so professional! AMAZING SERVICE OVERALL!!! THANK YOU!!! Secondly, I want to mention the specific individuals that we worked with. John whom was the field supervisor/assessor on my call was FANTASTIC! Super profesional, super courteous, and overall incredibly knowledgeable, and such a calming individual during such a stressful time for me and my family! His visit to our home then lead to a plumber, Bailey (service number 6264) and he was completely the BEST service individual that I have ever worked with! That includes any service individual that I have ever dealt with. He was EXTREMELY knowledgeable, professional, thorough, and just an overall welcome and joy to have on our side during this stressful ordeal! I CANNOT say enough about how positive my experience was with him and John! I WILL BE CALLING THESE TWO FOR EVERY SINGLE ISSUE THAT I MAY EVER HAVE regarding plumbing! Heck, they were so great, I might call them even if it has nothing to do with plumbing! Haha! TOP NOTCH! NO DOUBT ABOUT IT! I run an Airbnb and a guest had flushed something that my plunger couldn’t dislodge. I had a guest coming that night and needed a working toilet! I called Roto Rooter and they sent Corey. Charles was phenomenal- he was determined to get out shower drain unplugged without having to access the pipe further down (i.e. cutting a hole in the wall or ceiling). He worked for all of three and a half hours to assure we had the best outcome!
I needed to have a drain line cleaned out and a drain cap installed. Spent $572 to fix a small leak in my basement that essentially made another leak 4 inches away… when I called to ask them what’s going on they sent someone to say it will be another $400 and it’s not covered under warranty. Awfully overpriced that does not actually fix the problem. This company is a scam.

I would like to Thank Vernon and Gary and the crew of Roto-Rooter for their efficient work and promptness while repairing our drain connecting to the main sewer due to a collapsed tile. This made it especially tough because it was Christmas Day and Vernon went above and beyond trying to get us some relief on Christmas Day, I Thank him for a job well done. The next day the team was back and I want to Thank Gary for assembling a crew together immediately to start working on repairing the tile outside, we were now able to use our facilities. The job was completed the following day. What a great team of workers who care enough about their job and more importantly their concern for me as a customer. Thank you all again so very much!
Responded to request for service extremely quickly, and was able to complete all services requested. Pipes replaced were excellently done, and added water line for the fridge was done perfectly.
Steve was the technician who came to my home, he was professional & did a great job. He answered all of my questions, he was very efficient & effective.
Ive had to call them numerous times for different units. And every time they give me a date and a 4hr window. They wait until the last hr then call me and say theyre overbooked and cant get to me until the next day, after Ive paid someone to sit and i guess babysit a clogged toilet waiting for them to arrive.
These people have saved my @$$ multiple times. They were professional and, even though I was the last appointment of a Sunday, they spent time to answer all my questions and made sure they showed me (and I understood) all the work they did. Highly recommend!
We tried to use this business but are receiving such bad service they havent even shown up yet. We cant use any plumbing at all, called yesterday at 5:00 pm. They said theyd be out in 4 hours. At 10:00 they called saying they couldnt come but would be here at 8:00 this morning. We called at 8:00 today when they didnt show and were told they should be here by noon. This is not good service!

The Technician Bryan arrived with in 2 1/2 hours which was faster than originally expected. Promptly repaired my clogged drain pipe, reassembled pipes that I removed. Gave advice on preventing further problems along with proprietary treatment products assistance. We then completed the bill and the manager offered at no charge internal video inspection of the problem area of the drain that was scheduled for the following week. Very good job!

It was snowing and Doug had to shovel to get to my back door. That was above and beyond. Doug and Brandon were both very polite and kept me informed of what was going on each step of the way. They were both very tolerant of my barking dogs. This was a tough job in an old house that other plumbing companies couldnt or wouldnt do. I would definitely call them again for plumbing issues.
Technician (Vernon L.) gave me attitude when I requested that he wear his mask to work. He said he was fully vaccinated and preferred to work without wearing a mask. He did not wear gloves when initially checking the problem (touched disposal switch, cabinet doors, etc. without gloves). He also did not wear gloves when doing paperwork. All of this goes against Roto-Rooters Zero Contact Policy that is advertised on their website. In addition, we feel the cost of service ($415 less $75 discount) was excessive for the work performed - unclogging a drain. We will not use Roto-Rooter again and will use a local plumber instead.
I really appreciate Dan explaining and making a new home owner like myself aware of certain things that will assist me in making my water and gas dryer more efficient. My only issue was how the company took to came to my house but the plumber explained that they were short staff. I like that he knew what he was doing and the entire thing didn’t take a long time.

This is our second time using Roto Rooter for a big plumbing project. Not only did they complete the job timely, they also did in a less invasive way and worked through any issues and concerns we had so that ultimately we were completely satisfied with our experience. This was our first time using Roto Rooter and we were extremely impressed with the work Jamie Long, John Rice and assistant Matt did for us. Jamie was very through in explaining what had to be completed in order to bring us up to code on our water tank. They all worked efficiently and carefully to complete the job. After finishing, Jamie explained everything about the work they did and what we needed to do. He explained the warranty and explained the new parts he installed. I was very satisfied with the work from beginning to end. All employees were very polite and explained the work being done. The work was completed in a very timely manner. When I made the first call with the problem, Jake 807 was at my door in less than 30 minutes to start working. He explained that his supervisor would be out to let me know my options for further work to be done. Long story short, although the work was expensive, I shouldn’t have anymore problems. Roto Rooter has been working hand in hand with me for a week on a big sewer backup problem. They suggested actions (contact the city) to clear up part of the problem and have spent days working on the diagnosis of where my issue was and at least got me functioning back in my home again. We are not there yet, but Roto Rooter has invested a lot of time at no charge for several trips advise on defining my issue and helping me make decisions on next steps with my issue. They will be doing my repair once we have the full extent of the scope to repair a bad section of owner responsibility sewer pipe in an aging home. I highly recommend them!
Had two visits from RotoRooter, 1) to snake drain line and 2) to visually inspect drain with camera. Both were done in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner. The snake line was done from the outside and the technician was challenged with the amount of snowfall and was persistent and Weathered through it. Well Done.
I needed emergency repair service on a Sunday. Chuck came and was great. He figured out what I needed and worked to get the job done. Including having to make a trip to Lowes to get the part he needed. I have used Roto-Rooter in the past and they have always done a great job.

Have used Roto Rooter for years - older home with invasive tree roots that cause blockage. Always excellent service, prompt, fairly priced. Larry is wonderful and is never satisfied until everything is perfect.
Other then the fact my appointment was scheduled for 8-10, I called at 10:15, they said they called me and it went to voice mail. They rescheduled for 12-2, said that would text me this time. The technician showed at 1, no text. He was polite, courteous, and did his job perfectly.

Initially rated 5 stars because Dylan was awesome and would still give his service 5 stars its not his fault his employer runs a bait and switch operation. After a backup into our basement they came out and diagnosed us with an issue that was going to take $16k to fix. We got different estimates and fortunately a local plumber decided he was going to run a cam and see what was going on. Nothing wrong at all. Took the time to show us the footage and walked us through everything whereas Roto Rooter just wanted us to believe it was an emergency that needed fixed asap. Roto Rooter was completely trying to scam us out of $16k. Do yourself a favor and get a local plumber.

Mike was the technician that came to my house and in my opinion was outstanding. The clog was not your typical clog and Mike had a guy feeling of what the issue was. He stayed with his gut feeling which turned out to be right and unclogged the drain, saving me from a way more expensive repair. He was nice, courteous, and respectful. He also looked professional and spoke intelligently about the issue. I recommend him highly along with Roto Rooter.

2022-02-08We had a sewer line that collapsed that was located under the basement floor. The technicians were able to clear the initial clog that caused the sewer to backup, and were able to identify and locate the source of the issue. I was able to see on the inspection camera the area that had collapsed, and the technicians were able to identify the specific location that needed to be dug up in the floor using their equipment. All of the work was completed by the technician in a timely manner, and the quality of the workmanship in making the repairs was excellent. I am very satisfied with the quality of the work, and the serviceman who did all of the work was very courteous and professional. I have absolutely no complaints with the technician, or the quality and speed of his work. That being said, I feel like you should be aware that this level of service definitely comes at a premium. The job came in at $9k (gulp), but the work was done well, expediently, and all debris from the trenching was hauled off and disposed of, and we have a five year guarantee on the work completed.

2022-07-13Horrible customer care, amateur at best work.Charged 4x what 2 local companies quoted and Roto-Rooter didn’t do the job per the contract. Didn’t fix the leak, created a larger leak. Wouldn’t come out and help with leak for 12 hours even though they advertise 24 hour service. Refuse to try and resolve anything. Failed to keep their end of the contract and avoid all valid complaints.Absolutely pathetic company.

2022-08-24Greg the plumber was very helpful and courteous and friendly, and was very kind to my dog! :-) He seemed very skilled in diagnosing the problem and answering all my questions. He took time with me to make sure I fully understood what was going on. I also worked with project manager Corey, who helped me understand the cost of the project and the various options moving forward. Im going to need a fairly big project done so it was important that I understood, and it was important that they take the time to help me understand so that I can be present and accountable as the project progresses. I also worked with John with the water mitigation team, and he was responsive and knowledgeable and helpful in figuring out my insurance and getting things filed, which I greatly appreciate it. They still have to do a good amount of the work, so I totally give five stars to their diagnostic and project planning work. Now we wait and see how the rest of the big project goes in terms of installation and staying close to schedule. Im expecting very good things from the whole team. I should note that Im disabled, and thus far everybody on the team has been very helpful in accommodating me as this project progresses. I appreciate that almost as much as I appreciate the kindness all of them showed to my dog! :-)

2022-08-17Compromised pipe in foundation. Water proofed basement flooded. Roto-Rooter to the rescue! They came out that day, found the issue, worked with me as far as what was discovered and how they would repair, as well as handle the water restoration. It was a hard pill to swallow considering I really love my house. Jason was a voice of reason and was able to get me the financing I would need to pay for repair and restoration. Thank god I qualified for financing (another lesson as to why its a necessity to maintain good credit). Kyle was 1st guy to come out and snake sewer line to discover the breach. He was very cool and professional. Mike, one of the plumbers (forgot the other plumbers names please forgive) was beyond cool (as where the others) extremely cordial, professional and timely - which at that time being in panic mode, was what I needed. Im happy that I wont see them again (hopefully lol), but well worth it in the end. Remember most back door or friend plumbers dont offer guarantees if something goes wrong in the future. Something to think about when you want to add or work on plumbing in your house. Thanks Again

2022-06-19I was getting one thump when turned any faucet on or flushed toilet.Plumber was dispatched next day after I called. I was extremely happy with Rotor Rooter’s prompt service.Chuck my plumber was very knowledgeable. He checked my prv (pressure reducing value) to insure it was working properly which it wasn’t. Chuck explained everything to me as he was analyzing my problem.He needed to get parts for my repair therefore for both our convenience we scheduled the repair three days out. Although he was willing to complete job that same dayChuck was wonderful. Thank you Rotor Rooter and Chuck.No more thump when use water in home. I am a happy customer.

2022-05-25From the initial emergency call until the drivers left, they were very courteous. The drivers arrived within 30 minutes. Very knowledgeable and thorough in explanation of their services as well as the issue I was having. Did a main line sewer clean and clean up. Explained the process step by step allowing me to see exactly what was being done. Upon completion, they gave recommendations for what all would need to be done in future, leaving me totally at ease. 2022-02-24It really SUCKS to walk downstairs and find out that “stuff” you thought you flushed away forever has paid you yet another visit…in a very untimely and unsanitary kind of way!!!! However, calling Roto-Rooter made this unpleasant situation much more bearable. They were very helpful on the phone and our technician arrived on time the next morning ( thank goodness!). Doug was very professional and informed me of his plan to find the issue. He was able to find the issue, discuss it with my husband and I, explain his plan to get things back to normal and answered all our questions. He was very friendly and informative. He completed the tasks and made sure we were satisfied with the results. He cleaned up after the job was completed. He offered some very helpful tips to prevent “unwanted visits” in the future. It was nice to have such a kind and pleasant technician with a solid base of experience and expertise! He definitely made this situation SUCK LESS! Thank you so much, Doug!!!

2022-05-09Doug was an excellent service technician who explained all causes and procedures in an easily understandable mode for me, as I have been an anxious customer in other experiences. He is a patient professional who provided an honest assessment and recourse for repair. His behavior put me at ease and made me feel confident in my own evaluation of the information I received and the ensuing plumbing repair proposed.I am convinced that , even on a Mother’s Day celebration, I was helped the company’s best employee. The Roto Rooter company is one which I shall always call plumbing and other types of repair.

2022-03-30Rene came out to check our hot water tank, the pilot light wouldnt stay lit. After looking at it, he gave usour options and we decided to replace it. Rene went and got the parts and did a great job taking out the old tank, installing the new tank, answering our questions and making sure we were happy with his service. He was awesome. He took the time to point out a couple of other potential problem areas we should be aware of and even adjusted one of our faucets. He noticed things we didnt think about. 2022-04-06The first time out the a week ago was fast and easy l. They had it all cleared out and business was back to usual at our house. Today we got back up again and we got water back in the basement. I called and they sent a good team of Bryan and Matthew. They were able to locate the sewer clog not long after they got there. It seems it was on the county side of things! It stinks I had to have them come out twice. But that 6 month warranty was definitely worth the price. Now I am just hoping we can get the county to reimburse us for the service call! Of course were not holding our breath, but a man sure can dream!
