I have tried this place on 2 different occasions. The first time, I was VERY happy with my veggie roll. I had also ordered the cucumber salad which was just ok to me. It had crushed peanuts which wasn’t bad but it also lacked moisture so dry cucumber and peanuts was a little strange. In addition to the roll and salad, I had also ordered Spring rolls which were cold and greasy. So my first visit was a 6/10 but the veggie roll was so good I gave it another chance. My second time around, I only ordered the veggie tempura roll which included tempura yams, cucumber and some other veggies. It’s normally topped with avocado but I opted out of that. The sauces are normally a spicy Mayo and sriracha but I requested to have the sriracha left off and eel sauce added instead. They followed my modifications perfectly which was great but after eating most of the roll I found a piece of shrimp! I am full vegetarian and don’t eat any meat at all. I instantly stopped and called the shop (after instantly becoming sick). I spoke with 2 people who refused to do anything for me and could not under that I was severely sick. I was yelled at and made to feel like a liar although I offered to bring the food back to show them. I unfortunately really enjoyed the flavors but after realizing I was eating meat and the menu clearly said my roll was vegetarian friendly, I will not be returning.
Order often via delivery service.- almost weekly. The sushi is great but restaurant has difficulty responding to very simple instructions. ‘Extra wasabi please’. I believe I’ve received the request 2/20 times. Also spotty with attention towards request for brown rice despite being an option offered on delivery site.
Customer service was excellent but the food is very bland. I got the Panang Curry and my mom the sesame chicken. It tasted like more breading than chicken with her fish. The spinach crab appetizer was okay. I’ve eaten these dishes at several places in Atlanta when I lived there and this place has NO flavor. I won’t be returning.
One of my favorite sushi spots around the Dublin area.Everything that I have had here is great. Prices tend to be on par with other sushi restaurants in the area but the quality seems to be far superior.Ive had a few of the entree dishes and theyve been great, but I tend to stick to the sushi when I visit. We usually order the spinach cheese wonton appetizer in addition to our sushi and it has not disappointed once. Though I have ordered quite a few different sushi rolls here they have all been great. I have narrowed it down to my usual for the most part, but it seems like its difficult to go wrong with anything on the menu.Everyone here is friendly enough and the wait times are more than acceptable. They also have a pretty great happy hour if you can make it.We tend to frequent this place, visiting at least once every other week if not weekly. They have a decent patio in the back, though it is somewhat shared with a the neighboring restaurants, with only a short, metal gate separating the restaurant patios.
My husband and I order sushi and entrees from here probably once or twice a week and we have never been disappointed! Love love love this place! The staff is always super friendly and the food is great. Took us a long time to find decent sushi in Columbus and we havent looked back since. Highly recommend!
My wife and I have been going here ever since it opened and its by far our favorite sushi restaurant around. The staff is very friendly and the food is always great! Happy hour is very good if you can make it there before 6:30. If youre not into sushi, the rest of the food is good too, although its mainly Chinese and not Japanese. Favorites are the Playboy roll, garlic shrimp, jalapeno chicken, and thai spring rolls.
Ordered from here a few days ago via Grubhub (which was an hour late). The sushi was average but was falling apart. Pad Thai was below average. The hot food was lukewarm and the cold food (sushi) was warm. All around a pretty poor experience, and we wont be ordering from there again. There are better places to spend my money on better sushi.
I’ve always been a fan of Ronin’s, really great sushi and decent prices. I’ve ordered delivery a few times during COVID and still is great and tastes fresh when it arrives. Today I decided to order for pickup through DoorDash. When I got to the restaurant, someone had already taken my order and claimed they were my DoorDash driver, so my order was stolen before I got there. They were so nice about it and re-made the order for me immediately. They let me know that it’s best to order directly on their website, they can keep track of the orders better and it’s also cheaper. I’ll be doing that from now on. Love this place and the staff is amazing! Support local businesses!
Loved their food and service - went on a Saturday in time to catch happy hour. Their $4 cocktails were pretty good! Even if you get it at regular price ($6), it is totally worth it. Their entrees are very sizable portions, and their sushi was delicious. Would definitely go back there if ever I visit Ohio again.
The service was good, great drinks, the sushi rolls had minced fish- not pieces/chunks! The texture was all off in my opinion. We didnt have any entrees but it was busy and that was what many were eating. I will try again, nice atmosphere and very clean, but will stick to the main course meals
Ive been going to Ronin for years - and I keep returning, so I suppose thats the ultimate endorsement! Many options for sushi lovers as well as those not into the fish. I appreciate the vegetarian options (there are only a couple of veg sushi choices, both super, as well as other Asian dishes - love the tofu peanut curry!), and the lunch menu is a bargain.
Ronin is a very good restaurant. The sushi and Japanese dishes are delicious and good quality. The ingredients are all fresh and cooked to order so they are perfectly done. And the service is good. I thought the curry was too creamy and sweet for my taste, but again, this dish was made with high quality and fresh ingredients. They have very affordable lunch specials and they served me and got me out quickly during my business lunch which was very nice. I will continue to patronize Ronin.
The sushi tastes very fresh, (personal favorites are spicy tuna and salmon avocado rolls), and the cooked Asian dishes like sesame chicken and green curry are great too. Ive been here many times, and Im most impressed with how consistently they get the order RIGHT. Even when Im ordering takeout for a large group, they have never messed up an order or forgotten a dish. Much appreciated!!!
Fantastic food. Everything tastes amazing that we ordered (apps and sushi). My girlfriend had to custom order some sushi due to food requirements and they accommodated exactly as needed. Highly recommend and will be coming back. Most staff are English as second language so can come off as brusk, but are absolutely helpful as long as you ask and take the time to clarify.
It was ok. Nothing spectacular, except the company I came with.I ordered my favorite dish, orange chicken. I had never ordered it anywhere else and not liked it, however there is a first for everything. It was very sweet, too sweet. And not at all spicy to balance the sweetness.I was impressed with the rice coming in the shape of a pyramid, it was cute.
The service and quality here are very high. The Sushi is very Americanized and the majority of their featured rolls involve rich western sauces and fried ingredients. Many, many crab rolls. If you enjoy this kind of sushi, then the quality and presentation are good. If you are like me and you like simpler more traditional Sushi with fish and fresh vegetables then the selection is pretty limited but there are a few good items available.
Ronins has become our favorite sushi restaurant, they have a great selection of both basic and deluxe sushi rolls as well as good Asian rice or noodle dishes. Get there before 6:30 for their buy one get one half off sushi rolls and good drink specials. Always fresh and delicious.
Tried this because of the good reviews but was not impressed... the service was okay...asked for ginger dressing on my salad and was given peanut dressing. sushi was not so fresh.. tuna was dark brown?? The tempura was not good almost greasy texture... I did not like the decor very bright and not welcoming.. fast foodish atmosphere.
We are from out of town and were looking forward to dinner. My boyfriends sushi was good. But my teriyaki chicken was cold in different spots, dry, and tasted like it was microwaved after being bought from the store precooked. Honestly our sushi place at home is better quality for a better price.
Been going for years. Best sushi Ive ever had...however service can be really awful. On Valentines day we sat for an hour before we put our order in and waited nearly another hour for our food. Servers were unapologetic. Every straight couple in the restaurant recieved a rose but me and my partner werent offerred one - minor inconvenience but nothing goes better with sushi than a side of homophobia.
My husband and I love Ronin sushi! We recently moved to Grove City, but we still make the drive to Dublin get our sushi fix. The food is fresh and the seasoning and spices are perfect.Ronin Sushi has THE BEST Spicy Tuna Roll ever! I’ve never had a better spicy tuna roll anywhere else. The flavors are perfectly balanced. We always get that, the Dublin Roll and their Miso soup.
I should’ve known that it wasn’t going to be the best experience walking in. Completely silent and all eyes are on me from the wait staff. I chose to sit at the bar since I was alone. From previous experiences sitting at a sushi bar, it giving you the opportunity to interact with the chef and watch him at work. The chef had their backs turn away from me as they watched TV waiting for orders to come in. Hello? Sushi grade was pretty mediocre. Definitely had better in the city. For me, service and food goes hand and hand. They were very subpar!
We have been here twice and have not been disappointed yet. If you go during happy hour (3:30-6:30 Monday-SATURDAY!!) then it is even better priced. Prices are great for the quality. The food has been great with a wide variety of dishes and a wide variety of sushi. Edamame comes free before your meal comes, which is a great bonus.Wife and I went here during happy hour and spent $24 on 4 sushi rolls, drink, and tip.
I agree with the other reviews on Ronin. Really VERY good food, so much better than the national Asian fare chains. A big fan of the noodle offerings and the Thai dishes are the best Ive had in Columbus, by far. Sushi is fresh and simple - never strong or stale. I have eaten lunch there about 15 times and dinner several times. It is the only sushi/Asian I will eat in Columbus. Only negative- the place is pretty small and tables are close together, but they do have a patio in the summer.
Excellent service. Immense selection. Superb flavor. Wonderful ambiance.EDIT: After coming in again, and dealing with a different wait staff, I had to drop my star rating by one. Its a shame because the food is amazing, but the waitresses I had this last time made me feel unwelcome.
Good sushi. I had two rolls as Im not a big fan of sashimi my buddy had sashimi and said it was tasty and fresh. I had a fire cracker roll and a modified California roll both were tasty. Usually we get saki when we do sushi but I his time we didnt. I did have a Sapuro and it was cold and refreshing. I will visit here again next time I am in the area.
I went to this restaurant with my sister on Thursday Oct 8 for lunch. By the evening I had severe stomach issues. I have had stomach issues since Thursday evening and it is now Oct 14 , my birthday and I cannot even leave my house to enjoy my birthday. My stomach issues have not resolved within the last 5 days. If you do not want to have severe stomach issues and I am talking about the gut-wrenching stomach issues, please do not visit this restaurant. My sister had a mild case because she only ate half her food.
Kind of a small dining area during the winter months but a nice outdoor area for when the weather cooperates. The sushi / sashimi is consistently some of the best youll find in Columbus. Affordable - definitely the best bang for the buck Ive found for quality sushi in the metro area.
Came here on Monday after two weeks of eating at home. I went there with two friends, and neither were sick. Yet fun enough for me, not only did I take sushi away with me, but also some kind of illness (common cold probably)! Would not recommend, especially with all the people constantly shuffling in and out of the kitchen, worker or not. Someone probably sneezed or coughed in my food and was too lazy to remake it. This is why people develop trust issues with restaurants. Find another sushi place, the food here isnt special anyways.
This is my first time Getting food from this restaurant. I had to wait for my food extra 40min before getting my food. If you guys are experiencing busy just tell the customers that the Oder will take longer then expected. No need to tell them your food will be ready in 30min and then have them wait extra 30 min until they get there food.
Not sure if there is a new owner but the food just isnt the same.. I have tried about 95% of the sushi rolls and all were amazing..the last few times I have been the food does not sit well with me and the rolls arent very good anymore. This place went from being the best to the worst.
Food was ok, dont plan on going for a casual place to talk throughout your meal. Staff rushes you to order and leave to the point of being rude. Told the waitress we needed a few minutes to order and she continued to harass us about ordering 6 different times within 5 minutes. Mind you, we werent talking during this time, just trying to look over the menu. Was not a busy time for them, yet she was rushing us to pay while we were still eating. Food not worth dealing with the staff.
I had to go back and change my 5 star review... Unfortunately the quality of the sushi has significantly gone down hill in the past year, this is very unfortunate as I used to come here all the time and they were consistently amazing with their sushi, now they are hit and miss - spicy tuna not fresh and fishy… Very disappointing
The service is horrible. The entire wait staff Sat down beside us after we were seated and stated eating, after 7 or 8 minutes I asked if our waiter was available to take our order...they ignored us and continued to eat. Eventually one women got up and came to get our order. She argued with me about what I wanted on my sushi and brought my something totally different and then Sat back down and talked Japanese while they all kept looking at our table. Rude
Food was delicious. The staff lacks customer service. After they dropped off the food, the only time they came back was to give us our check. Never checked on us, didnt fill up our water, etc. They didnt even give us the little dish for the soy sauce. Very blah. As I said, the only good thing about the place is the food.
I love this place. The food is amazing. (I recommend the pyramid of egypt roll). Its also always so calm and peaceful. The service is fantastic. One of my absolute favorite places to eat out .Ive tried a great dealnofnfood here and have yet to be disappointed. Completely fantastic.
WORST service ever. Ive eaten at the restaurant several times but decided one day to do carry out. I arrive to pick up my food and all four employees working sat at a table and ate while I stood there awkwardly. I am not one to speak up and say something so I stood there. 10 minutes later a woman came out from the back and finally helped me. I got my receipt and realized they never gave me 10% off for carryout like they say they do. I was furious. I will not be back.
Terrible service, took 15 minutes to get our bill and they just kept walking past us. We were there at 8pm and they close at 11pm but were acting like we were keeping them from closing down their resturant. Food was okay...and so was the sushi but totally wouldnt go back

2020-01-18Went to dinner for my husbands birthday on a Friday night. It wasn’t too loud and busy so we were able to have a more intimate dinner. Our waitress was very nice. All our service was fast. I liked both my rolls the Funky roll and sunshine roll, but my husband was not impressed with the buffalo roll, we agreed it was not very buffalo-saucey. Overall we enjoyed our experience here.

2020-09-16I have ordered from Ronin a few times now in the time of COVID, and I have not been disappointed. The sushi is fresh and tasty, with relatively competitive prices (at least for their more basic rolls.) I am a big fan of the spicy salmon roll, and their staff seems great; I actually received a phone call from someone to clarify my exact allergies before they prepared my food, which made me feel very safe. They’re also pretty quick, and my food has arrived before the scheduled delivery time on a few occasions. I would absolutely recommend Ronin to anyone in the Dublin area.

2017-06-29I frequent this sushi place often and every time Ive been here its been really good. Happy hour buy one get one half off special until 6:30 so I ordered spicy tuna and Alaska roll which were both really good. Also ordered a volcano roll which Ive never tried before but it was really good. Service is always really good. Highly recommend for a Sushi fix.

2022-03-24The food quality and value for the price are both excellent at Ronin. In addition, the service I received when ordering and picking up my food was very friendly and they were patient with me as I had never been there and needed additional time to make a decision. All of my menu questions were answered and I was offered the option of getting a bento box when I asked for teriyaki chicken. The bento box included delicious grilled teriyaki chicken on a bed of vegetables (broccoli, asparagus, cucumber, carrots, mushrooms), fried rice, two gyoza with dipping sauce, and four pieces of California roll. A ton of food for the price.Unfortunately due to the pandemic they no longer offer dining inside, so when you enter they will meet you at the inner door for your order or you can get it through Doordash/UberEATS. I will be back to try their extensive menu!

2017-12-11Small little place to serve your appetite. Soup is warm and has typical Asian taste so you will feel at home. Springs rolls were fresh and crispy. We order Combo C, Veggie Tempura Roll Sushi and Spider man Roll. The taste was good. Place is clean and service is quick.

2019-04-28Best sushi in Columbus.Dine-in or take out. All good. Delicious!!!! Rolls aren’t tiny like in many places, have happy hour and lunch specials. Great location with option of inside or outside patio sitting.

2019-05-19Ronin was decent overall and the service was ok! The complimentary edamame was overcooked and lacked good flavor, along with the ginger and soy sauce.I would definitely recommend the sushi sandwich though. 🍣 🥪

2019-07-28We love this place its close, the sushi and hot plates are all great! I usually do the sashimi regular, this last visit wasnt as great as it usually is but that wont keep us from going back any time we are craving sushi 🍣! The white fish on the platter is usually superb, the texture is like silk/butter. The staff is very nice and the restaurant is always clean. They share a patio with the noodle company and thr Mexican restaurant nextdoor so the music is a little odd for sushi but any place with a nice patio, great food, and good drinks in Cbus is a winner in my book!

2019-03-18Always loved going to Ronin. Their samurai roll is one of my all time favorite sushi roll. The staff is friendly and the location is easy to reach with parking infront of the door.
