Nice welcoming small community with a big church at heart. Very welcoming message for people anywhere in their faith life. Liked that there were opportunities for new people to learn more about the church without them being super pushy. Worship and communion was a fantastic experience. Only docking a star because sermon was a little long and repetitive.
My wife and I were invited to our nieces baptism about 2 1/2 years ago... And we are still visiting. Very contemporary praise and worship music and some of the best Bible teaching Ive heard in my short existence as a Christian. Challenging contemplation for a relationship with GOD... Not a religion... If your not a believer: Come and feel what Jesus love may have been in the beginning of his teaching ministry of: GOD, forgiveness, redemption, self worth... eternity. If you dont leave with a little more joy than when you came in. Look for me, Ill buy you lunch
Great church with a great (new) lead pastor. I thoroughly enjoy the worship--I feel that our worship team/music are incredibly talented, and enjoy the fundamental teachings from the Bible delivered by all of our pastors. We strive to welcome everyone as they are, where they are, no matter how they are, and hope that you feel Gods love when youre at Polaris Church. My son and I have been at the church for about 5 years and he loved the kids church (when he was a kid) and now loves Chain Reaction (youth group on Wed nights). We feel comfortable here--not so big that you get lost in the shuffle.
Wonderful church made up of authentic people. Biblically based teaching, great worship and fun life groups. My kids also love being a part of the youth ministry that meets on Wednesday nights.
If youre looking for a church that feels like home, this is it. I have never felt uncomfortable or judged here. The people are friendly, the pastors are real, the messages are relevant and applicable to everyday life. Walking in, I feel welcome; leaving I feel refreshed and renewed.
I have been at the church since 2005. My kids go to Polaris Christian Academy and The Gathering Place. This is the BEST HIDDEN place in Polaris! If you are looking for a home church, childcare or a wonderful Christian school you will NOT be disappointed. The church staff is phenomenal as are all the of teachers at both the childcare and school. I HIGHLY recommend this place!
I watched the service for the first time since moving to Columbus very nice young pastor can tell he believes in what he preaches will watch again
Very disappointing that Pastor Pete has left because the board at Polaris Church decided to merge with Rock City Church. Polaris Church will be called Rock City Polaris. They informed the membership that they will be streaming Rock City services to the Polaris location. To me this isnt church. Why would you come to a church to watch a service being held some place else? I want my pastor to be there live. So you can talk and discuss if needed. Very disappointing that the Polaris Church board did this. Now its off to find a new place to worship.
I was verbally accosted by a pastor(?) when I got lost in the area. He attempted to open my car door and was yelling at me to not use my f**king church as an expressway before I could even explain myself. Very unstable man and a disturbing experience, cannot imagine what his sermons are like.
Crusader ministry is fantastic and why I go to this location. They have a fantastic sports program. Football, rugby, flag football, cheerleading and more.
I wasnt sure at first, but Ill tell you this is one of the best churches Ive been too. Just one sermon was all it took to know this would be our home church.

There are no 24hr churches anymore. God is only there when its convenient for the pastor, not when you actually need him
I visited this church that my daughter attends. They gave a very good Christian bible based message.

Id like to post this with no stars. Tried to get a job here the office decided not to hire for the position after I already quit my job. I had no job for over a month which made me very mad 😠😤

2022-07-18I’ve been coming here for over a month. Great at first but this particular church and all their locations are more of a business than it is as a house of God. An “experience” instead of anointing. They brought up the BLM, love is love and science is real garbage. Something that’s completely against Gods word. It was a smack in the face. They twist scripture around. It’s a gummy bear church. I will say they at least teach grace through faith in Christ alone and that the only way to be saved is having Jesus in your heart. But a lot of other stuff is just a “feel good” speech. They only discuss specific topics. They DO NOT talk about the rapture or the end times. Don’t walk away. RUN!

2022-01-02Rock City feeds my soul. Pastor Chad is amazing and he relates everyday life to the Bible, which makes one understand and relate. The music is outstanding. The love this church gives off is just amazing. You can feel Jesus all around you .

2021-10-07Rock City is an amazing church. If you like to see your pastor preach live, then go to the Hilliard campus. The sermons are streamed to Polaris and to the Short North. Either way, the worship experience is truly that - an experience. We have a terrific worship team. The music is top notch. Yes, its loud and if that bothers you, there are ear plugs readily available at the door. The preaching is biblically based and truly, always a great message. Some people worry about being able to connect with others at such a large church but there are so many ways to get involved here: join a small group and/or join a team to serve on Sunday mornings. You can be a behind the scenes person serving on the production or hospitality teams, for example, or front and center as a greeter or usher. Maybe help with parking. Or if you like kids, come work with them! There are so many different ways to get involved and meet people. If you have a heart for serving, RC works with the Dream Center down in the Short North that offers plenty of opportunities to serve the homeless as well as kids. If youre looking for a great, growing church, then come here. RC is definitely different.

2021-08-07Loud music at 7a.m. waking people up in the neighborhood. My 5 year old and I moved into a house behind the church recently. Unfortunately not knowing that they play their music extremely loud at 7:00 a.m. Standing in my living room I could feel the bass. Which is now affecting the sleep of my child and myself. A few of the neighbors have expressed their discomfort living here because of it. I thought churches were supposed to be friendly places full of friendly people, not a nuisance.

2021-09-06We absolutely love Rock City Church. We have been members for a little over 2 years now. This past June, Pastor Chiayim Burney married us. He did such a wonderful job. So many of our guests still tell us how much they loved him! If you’re looking for a church, definitely check out Rock City!

2021-08-07I also live in the neighborhood behind the church. My neighbor told me she put a review in about this place after her child was woken up at 7:00 a.m. because of their loud music. It seems like these past couple months have been extremely bad. We have a couple different families in our neighborhood that goes to that church and they informed a number of us that it is a small joke between a couple of the people who get there early in the morning about the music being so loud because of a previous review they read. No one else in the congregation is there that early when theyre doing soundchecks. I dont leave reviews at all but I decided to have my daughter make me a Google account so I can specifically review this place. Its sad to see nowadays its a church thats causing a problem with noise in neighborhoods and not some young kids driving by in cars or having house parties.

2021-09-26VERY RUDE AND IGNORANT PEOPLE!! Blaring bass at 7:00a.m. Good thing you think about your neighbors. Did it again on 7/18. Waking up a 6 month year old. You people are A-Holes. 8/1- 7:01 a.m. Waking up the baby again with all the bass. Why at 7am? Stopped for a few weeks, but they are back at it again.

2019-07-30Loved this church, loved Pastor Pete and the friends we made in the 2 years we attended church here. Loved that my kids were comfortable and enjoyed attending as well. Do not love that the board forced out people that were so dearly loved, just to join forces with a larger church.
