Our experience with Rite Rug Fairborn was terrific. We found the floor we wanted 5 months ago but Mike advised was to wait for cabinets and counter top installation until they installed the floor. Last week the floor was installed hassle free and it looks great. Mike worked with us for 5 months to ensure all went well. I thought Rite Rug was more expensive than the Big Box stores but I was wrong. Very satisfied withe the price, support and installation not to mention they were the ones that had the floor we fell in love with.
After getting quotes and seeing samples from two other companies, we decided to go with RiteRug. I had heard about them from a FB group for moms. The in-home consultation was low-pressure, efficient, and I was really impressed with the superior look of their carpet. They had way more color options than other companies and we loved the grey carpet we chose - it has a nice sheen/shimmer to it. The installers were on time, courteous, and extremely hard-working and replaced our den, stairs, and hallway in 3-4 hours. We are so glad we updated our carpet!
Carpet looks great but one of the installers leaned a work light on our master King mattress that burned a significant hole, (lucky it didnt catch fire by the damage and smoke ring around it) then left without saying anything. When we discovered it I reached out to our salesman and to customer service to address this issue. No response. Not at all what I expected from a reputable company with years of experience.
First Stefanie Powers was amazing. She able to make it to our house within days to measure, made great recommendations on our flooring needs, complied with our schedule. She was friendly, upbeat and had great follow through. The crew who did the installation were ROCK stars. The carpet looks great and it was an unbelievable value for us. We could not be happier. Ray delivered excellent customer service! He was timely with all correspondences and offered valuable insight in regards to style and color choices. His knowledge afforded us the beautiful carpet we wanted on our desired date of installation. The installation team was on time and polite. We are very happy with our purchase and would definitely recommend Rite Rug.
Used Rite Rug for an outdoor carpet installation. Initially, the glue didnt hold and the carpet came up at the seams and on the stairs, but the company handled a re-installation of the carpet with different glue and new carpet, properly prepared and leveled everything, and didnt charge any extra fees for having to redo the job. Their customer service and sales teams were very responsive through the whole process. Ray (sales) and Amy (customer service) were very helpful every step along the way.
I had a awesome experience with RiteRug. The Sales Rep, Jerry Combs, was incredibly helpful in helping us figure out what carpet and flooring we needed in our home. He even personally stained the transition piece we needed for our stair nose. The installers did a fantastic job on the install. I am a designer and had the opportunity to work with RiteRug on a house I was staging before it went up for sale. The reason I mention this is because I have worked with many different flooring companies and I feel compelled to tell you about my personal experience.Stefanie, in sales was wonderful! She came right out to the house with a full truck of all of the carpet and flooring samples. I was able to pick everything out directly at the property so I could see exactly how it would look with the new colors and finishes. This made such a difference because they look so much different in the space than they do from a picture online. She was so knowledgeable about the products and made the whole process so much fun!Then during the installation of the vinyl plank flooring and carpet (3K sqft) the team that came out were very respectful of the property and our health. They were in and out in 2 days! Everything was pulled up and thrown out and the new floors were installed without any damage to the property and it was cleaned up very well. They didn’t leave anything behind. It was so easy for the homeowner. You would have never know they were in and out if it wasn’t for the fact that the 25 year old house looks brand new again!I was so worried about moving the furniture out of the house and having an enormous mess but they took care of everything! And it cost much less than the other companies I had quotes from! I’m so happy with this entire project from start to finish! I will definitely use RiteRug in the future and have already referred them to three more homeowners!
Thanks RiteRug! Enjoyed meeting Ray, he had all the answers and the best price for our Carpet replacement. He was just as interested and concerned about our needs and our priceline. Carpet was installed by 2 men who moved very large pieces of furniture, cleaned up after themselves. We LOVE our new carpets and appreciate Ray and the installers!!!
We shopped at the Fairborn location and Mike and Bart were excellent with product selection and customer relations pre-install. HOWEVER, the installation went terribly and customer relations after the fact to fix the problems are even more useless. The installers were over 3 hours late, didn’t finish the job on the scheduled day, and didn’t have the correct supplies. I had to call Rite Rug multiple times to ensure the process was moving along and then after the installation was finally completed THE NEXT WEEK, the careless installers left significant damage to the walls which had been recently painted a week or two before the install date. When customer relations (Mandy) came to inspect, they simply said to “try a magic eraser” when in fact the walls need repairing and repainting! That is NOT “minor damage”. Frankly, I regret the whole purchase and wish I would’ve paid the higher dollar from Lowe’s because at least their customer service cares. We are now going to be out of pocket a minimum $250+ to hire painters and purchase additional paint to fix the damage done by Rite Rug. What a shame for someone who was simply trying to support the more local companies.
Two months ago I had rite rug install luxury vinyl in three bath rooms and install quarter round and thresholds transition straps between the carpet on the outside and the flooring. At least thats what they were supposed to do.The floor looks great no problems with that but the quarter round they installed was white not the reddish wood that was supposed to be installed and they did not install any of the transition strips between the vinyl and carpet. When I asked the installers they said they were just doing what the paper told them.Ive contacted rite rug several times and have been told customer service will get in touch with me but havent heard anything yet. I will update this review if they fix the issues. They are nice people and I like the flooring itself but they need to fix the issues before I can give them a good review. Its been two months of run around with customer service.
Our Rite Rug experience was initially good but turned sour. The contractor left an entire house of old carpet on our front lawn. I called my salesman and rite rug several times and it sat there for 6 days until someone picked it up. The contractor also did a poor job on our stairs and some had to come fix his work. It was so hard to get ahold of someone that would take ownership of the problem.
I highly recommend RiteRug! They were amazing through the entire process. The sales professionals were honest and helpful in the buying process, and I never felt pressure to go over my budget. The install staff were great. They communicated well, worked quickly and cleaned up once they were done. I will definitely be a repeat customer!
The Fairborn Rite Rug has been fantastic to work with on two projects. One was a whole house carpeting replacement in a rental and the other was hardwood install in our own home. Both times all the work was performed as promised and the installers did a very professional job. Been very happy with everything.
If I could give them a zero star I would. We had Rite Rug come out to do measurements at our house and pick out a carpet. Not only did the guy steer us away from the carpet we wanted because he didnt think it would be good for us but he also NEVER GAVE US OUR QUOTE. It has been 3 months and we are still waiting for it - I take that back, I have given up on it and scheduled our carpet replacement with another company. So if you want your time wasted, then by all means contact them...Otherwise, Id go with some other reputable business.
If 0 was an option that would be my rating. I have purchased carpet from Rite Rug 3 times and this will be the last time. The seams are completely visible in a high traffic area and seem to be getting worse by the day. I have attempted to reach out to Rite Rug as instructed two times with no response! I remember the salesman stating that this would be the last carpet that I would purchase from him because of the quality. I guess the real reason is because the service has become less than sub par and I will never shop there again. Please don’t be fooled and think they will stand behind their product.
We are extremely dissatisfied with RiteRug. When we purchased our house the previous owners had to have the carpet replaced under warrant because it was defective. The carpet was coming apart at all the transitions. It was unraveling and the carpet fiber were coming apart. We have only been in the house for 3 months and the carpet is already unraveling again.I called RiteRug and despite the defects and the age of the carpet they refused replace it. They said the warranty doesnt transfer. I asked them to hold the manufacturer accountable for the defective carpet but again they refused.This is not the way to run a business. I will never do business with RiteRug a will steer everyone I know away from them.
I originally sent the review of Rite Rug that appears below. That review was based on the Sales Reps performance. My husband warned me about reviewing the company too soon and he was right. We had our flooring installed on October 25 and 26 and there were several things that were left incomplete. It is now December 4 and those same items are still incomplete. I am prepared to complain to the BBB and have my Credit Card company challenge the charges. Anger and disappointment do not adequately describe how I feel.Stay away from this company.Our experience with Rite Rug has been spectacular so far! Stefanie Powers, the representative, was receptive and helpful from the moment I contacted her on a Saturday at the recommendation of our Real Estate agent. She showed up on time, walked the entire house measuring, talked with us about our needs and had an estimate within 2 hours of her visit. The installation went off without a hitch and Stefanie checked up on the team during the last day of installation. My only negative comment would be with their clean up. We were left with quite a bit of debris that needed to be cleaned up but they did a lot of work in a short amount of time! Great experience so far!
I was disappointed with my service. The rug and the bathroom tile looked fine. I was disappointed at the customer service. Five guys showed up in a van to install my carpet in two small room. They opened all the curtains in the vacant unit and left them open which was not good considering the unit is vacant and people could see in. The next day a crew came to lay bathroom tile. I left and when i came back they were gone. As I uncovered the old carpet I had pulled up, from the tarp, I saw the bathroom crew had dumped all my old bathroom flooring in my living room and covered it with a tarp. I am very disappointed seeing as they made me remove my toilet before they came to make it easier for them. They did nothing to make it easy for me. I dont know if the old flooring had asbestos or any other kind of contaminate on it. I couldnt believe they left the hauling of that away for me.
Shawn Pope was great to work with at the Rite Rug location in Fairborn OH. He was able to help me find carpet to match well with what is already installed in my house. He was also very accommodating and patient as I brought two little kids in with me. He was also very helpful in picking carpet padding and worked with me on the install date I needed. The carpet install went fast and looks great! I highly recommend Rite Rug and working with Shawn Pope.
This is a very hard review to write because the Salesman, Bart Wilson, did a great job helping with the selection of our new flooring, answering all of our questions and explaining the whole process. When a problem did arise Bart was helpful in pointing me to the Customer Care. Customer Care on the other hand was HORRIBLE!! The was a problem with the waterline to the refrigerator. The line was improperly reconnected, interesting to note that the installers werent supposed to disconnect it in the first place, so it leaked under the new flooring and into the basement. The installation was completed on Friday 6 Nov and the leak wasnt discovered until 8 Nov, I called Bart right away and he gave me Customer Cares number. I called on the 9th since they dont work on Sundays. Customer Care, after much hemming and hawing, scheduled an inspection for 13 Nov. I asked if the inspector was an engineer or professional inspector and was told that the Lady was very smart. The inspectors, a man who was a house inspector, and a young woman showed up on time and took a look at the area where the water had leaked, they took pictures and used a moisture meter to determine if the wood was still wet. I asked them if I could reconnect the waterline, and he suggested that I wait and have a plumber do it. I waited a few days expecting a call from Customer Care and heard nothing. I have called on the 20th, 24th and the 25th of Nov talking with a representative and promises of return calls which never happened. It is now 4 Dec and I have not heard anything. I again have called customer care and asked to speak with a supervisor to which I was forwarded and got the answering machine. I will NOT be using Rite Rug in the future.
Good experience from start to finish. The manager personally came to our house after work to measure and again to make sure the installers were doing a good job. The installers were very nice, professional, and precise. They cleaned after they were done making sure no debris was left behind.
The sales rep was great and kept everything moving but it went downhill fast from there. The issues started when they came to install. I was told late morning / early afternoon they would be there. At 3:00 I had to call and find out where the installers were. What I found is the installers were given the wrong address two times before receiving the correct address. They finally show up around 4:30-5:00 and get to work. Not very long after that they informed us they didn’t have all of the carpet for the job. When they returned two days later the installers were given the wrong address again! The installation process was a complete mess and I don’t feel like anyone cares about the issues we had. The carpet is very nice but next time I will probably go somewhere else as I had to take two days off work because if the disorganization.
We couldn’t be more happy with our beautiful new hardwood floors. After an initial hiccup with our order, Shawn Pope the Dayton Sales Manager, was brought in and really went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. He oversaw the entire project and communicated with us from start to finish. The installation crew had over 600 square feet of floor installed in less than a day and did a great job. Bart and Mandy were also very helpful. We feel like we ended up with a great product and a great deal.
The experience with Stefanie went great and the carpet we chose looks great as well. We also felt we have a great quality carpet for a cooperative price and this carpet will last years with kids. Everyone that came to install was friendly and did their job in an timely manner. We would reccomend Rite Rug.
First time, they canceled, 2nd time they brought 6 pieces of leftover rug to seem together in my living room, I called, they past the buck, no help, the installation guys left. I had to wait 5 days, with everything out of the living room because they left the padding. 3rd time they brought exact same leftover carpet. Very disappointing experience!
I would not recommend this Rite Rug to anyone. My husband purchased some discontinued hardwood from there a couple months ago. When the installers came out we discovered the wood was all pieces about a foot long and they would not recommend installing the floor. We have been trying to get a refund and have been treated very poorly in the process. I realize it was discontinued and the policy was no return however I feel we were misled in the sale. We should have been provided a disclaimer about the quality of the wood. Lesson learned should have opened all the boxes.
Carpet was installed throughout our home its really looks nice and we love it. Old carpet and old padding was left at our home in our garage and outside in our driveway and not taken away. We called your company and it was immediately picked up, so we give you five stars thank you.
Horrible experience with this store! We waited all day for them to arrive to install our carpet in a single bedroom. I finally called at 5:00 and spoke with Patrick and he said our carpet was still at the store. Patrick called the installation crew and they said we were the 5th stop and would be arriving soon. The installation crew finally arrived at 7:00. They got the carpet installed but they did not do the transition strip the way we were told it would be. It was supposed to be folded under but instead we have a horrendous looking metal strip between the carpet and our hard wood floors. I told the installation guy that it was done incorrectly and he said they were just a back up crew helping out so there was nothing he could do. So them being called in as a back up crew proved they had forgotten about our installation all along and we were lied to about being the 5th stop. So I called Patrick back and explained they had installed the carpet incorrectly and he called the installation department and called me back. All of this happened on Wednesday. He said they could not get back to me that week but would call me the following Monday and see what could be done. And it is now the next Wednesday and I have not received that phone call. Horrible customer service and just an awful experience all around!! I will never visit this store again and will discourage all of my family and friends from doing so either. Do not use this store!!
I was very happy with service, and installed after 3 days, booked for weekend, greg and rob did a great job after having problems with the way it was measured, but greg thought of best way to eliminate seams, i would give the installers a 5😊rite rug a 5 service, but the guy who did measuring not so good..
I would leave zero stars if it were possible to. By far the most disorganized, unprofessional company I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. They have zero regard for customer satisfaction and will not fix any damage to your home. Do not call RiteRug unless you want to repair your walls and baseboards too
To be honest, I needed more than just flooring, I needed guidance. Jesse Pence went above and beyond, helping with color coordination, picking the right materials, quality and style.I had multiple bids, and could have gotten things cheaper, but you get what you pay for. I would rather pay a reasonable price for a quality product with a knowledgeable person who has skills that I dont possess. At the end of the day, do you want to put up with the outcome, or love how it looks and show it off?Like I said, Jesse Pence tied our whole renovation together. His advice was very much appreciated.
There was a little problemBut they made up for it.If you call them ask for there sales woman Rebecca you will love her she is very knowledgeable and with her interior design degree She help this dumb old hillbilly pick the color s my wife loved it.I would addopt her.Or if I still had my bussiness would hire her away from Rite rug.they better hope I do not go back in bussiness.Lol Over all company is great.Installers included
What a dump!! 1st) they scammed an 85 year old woman out of over 1000 dollars. Lied about when the work was gonna be done.her kitchen items have been in her family room for days...excuse after excuse from this shot shack...dont use these scam artists..nor their lying contractors!!! Scam! No subject floor needed at all!! But she sure was charged for..tried to get money back before work has even been started..nope!! No honor!! No respect for customers!! Scam !! This place is a scam!!!
WAITED ALMOST 2 MONTHS TO HAVE 2 PIECES OF MOLDING INSTALLED .WAS TOLD IT WAS BACK ORDERED, AND WOULD BE ANOTHER 4 TO 6 WEEKS.WENT TO LOEWS,PURCHASED THE 2 STRIPS, STAINED, INSTALLED MYSELF. WANTED MY MONEY BACK AND WAS TOLD THEY WOULD NOT RETURN IT $35, THEY WERE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL REPAIRS. WAS GOING TO PURCHASE ABOUT RUG FOR ANOTHER ROOM, ANOTHER $2500, NOT NOW.

2022-05-19The experience was pleasant. I love the carpet. The guys were pleasant, they were listening to their music, not loud to bother me, then 1 of them started to sing, I found funny, no problem. I wish I would of had u all to install the wood floors I recently had done. Thank u so much!

2022-06-18Jerry and his team did a wonderful job. We are a military family and are remodeling our new duty station home from a distance. Jerry helped coordinate the tear out and install of new carpet and LVP throughout our new house. His office sent us samples in the mail and were very easy to work with. His installers were polite and cleaned up their mess when they were finished. I highly recommend RiteRug! Thank you!

2022-06-06Rite rug has now done two rooms in my house, can’t tell you how much I love them. They’re so fast and do an awesome job. My smaller room, I think it took them maybe 15/20min and they were done. Definitely recommend them!

2022-07-17Excellently installed vinyl plank flooring in full and half bathrooms, the same planking that was also installed in our kitchen and play/sun room. Installer quickly corrected direction of the planking in the half bathroom when it was discovered it was perpendicular to all other flooring. Installer in half bathroom properly dealt with issues caused by previously installed vinyl flooring.

2022-07-04Install was lousy and we paid for items they never used. Installers barely spoke English, maybe thats a problem? Sales person doesnt seem to care even though we are repeat business. Waiting to see how much longer I have to wait for someone to call and make this right because at the end of the day, I spent a lot of money for a job poorly done.EDIT: there was so much wrong with our install including using flooring from the hallway to finish a bedroom - because they were short material - nevermind it was a different color! They installed it anyway. Then to correct the problem, we waited two weeks for new material, and then they said that color was no longer available. They charged for materials never used and they scratched the flooring while moving furniture. Those boards were replaced. Heres your option: use the product from them, but hire your own installers. And customer service is a nightmare, dropped our order twice! Sales man couldnt care, he got his commission and passed the problem on, didnt care he overcharged me.

2022-01-11We had carpet installed in bedrooms and it was a real easy process and very timely done. No complaints except their vacuum they use for clean up got clogged...the company should buy those guys a newer vacuum.

2021-11-11The installer did a fantastic job tearing out the old flooring, then installing the new luxury vinyl plank floor. He paid excellent attention to detail and went out of his way to do the best install possible. He also hauled away all of the debris. A job well done!
