We had a hard time finding a balanced trainer locally whose training philosophy aligned with ours. So we drove 2 hours to Ridgeside K9 from Columbus. We chose to complete a 2 week board and train with our 10 month puppy. So glad we went this route! We like that he went home with the trainer at the end of the day and didnt stay in a kennel, he was worked in the facility and out in the real world with real distractions. We got updates each day about his progress, full of pics and videos. They took time to get to know us, our dog, and what we were hoping get out of the program. We especially like the fact that Ridgeside offers refresher classes.Trainers are all very knowledgable and professional, and most of all they really care about the dogs and want them to have fun and succeed! Couldnt recommend enough! Eric has built a wonderful program here
If you dont get your dog trained here then ask your self Did my dog really get the best training? Well if you went elsewhere then that answer is no these guys offer life time training in other words if 2 years down the road good ole red aint quite listening like he used to then u make a call and wallah they give red a refresher course and get him back to that place he was after he went through there amazing training course
Ridgeside trained my dog. He can now be trusted off-leash and is less reactive.

2022-04-06I cannot say enough good things about Ridgeside K9 - Ohio and their trainer, Timmy! Carter just completed the 2 week board & train program. His homecoming was not just a quick drop-off. Timmy, spent over 6 hours with us explaining the methodology behind the training, the tools used, and ensured we understood how to continue the training by running us through hands on practice both at home and at the local park (real life distractions). I cant get over how well Carter walks on and off leash. He didnt overreact to people/dogs at the park. And he was so happy, wagging his tail the whole time. The transformation is incredible!

2021-11-07This business is top notch! We had a 100% turnaround with our crazy German shepherd puppy! She is now manageable and enjoyable. The way Eric and Amanda run this business is the way I wish all businesses would operate! Any issues are addressed promptly and made right x100! Would definitely use their service again without hesitation. Thank you for such a great experience and most of all for fixing our puppy 😊

2022-05-03Love Ridgeside! The staff and trainers are fabulous! Amanda answered a lot of my initial questions and guided us into the correct package for our family. I was nervous about using an e-collar (and boarding her) on my pup (previous experience was not good). But Sarah taught us and Bali not to be afraid of it. She did amazing with Bali and taking the time to answer our questions/concerns through drop off and checking up on us after. We also LOVE the refresher courses offered after completing the training program. Thank you again!

2022-06-08Timmy had our dog Tucker for the 2 week board&train. He brought us back a very well trained dog and spent hours going over the training with us to ensure that we continue with his training . He was great! He kept us updated with plenty of pics and videos. He explained everything in great detail with daily updates. Amanda was also always available to answer any questions or concerns we had. We were really hesitant with sending our puppy away at first but seeing him run off leash and listen to commands proved worth it! Thanks again!

2022-06-21Awesome training! My trainer was amazing. Any time I had questions he answered right away, and met me at the refresher class as I was having some problem with Sly getting over excited to play with other dogs. He worked with we and gave me some pointers and helped with the correction collar. I highly recommend the training. The atmosphere is by far the best places for training and everyone feels welcome. They want the best for you and the dog

2021-11-22The review is long overdue. The communication was fantastic. I put in an inquiry and heard back within 24-hours. They answered all my questions via email. After I decided they were the ones to bring our girl Jackie to, they had us booked up. We chose the Board and Train package. It did take a couple months after contacting them because they were booked out. Jackies trainer Sarah did an amazing job with her. She went into the training because she had some bad resource guarding issues with our other dog. Sarah worked with Jackie to the point where my husband and I do not have to tip toe around our two dogs to avoid a fight breaking out, and we feel a lot better for our other dogs safety. Sarah also did a great job tending to the needs of Jackie because she is a senior dog so some commands were a little harder for her to do than others and she did not force Jackie to do these in case they made her uncomfortable.We are definitely thinking about bringing our other dog here next year to brush up on some basic manners!

2021-12-10CJ was our trainer for a two week board and train program and I can’t say enough good things. He and the entire staff are wonderful and so helpful. They go above and beyond. Our Marley girl (German shepherd-9 months) was kind of a terror as shepherds can be! He completely fixed all the issues we were having. We can finally connect with our dog and trust her 100%. I have recommended them to so many people!

2022-03-08Love the new location. Everything is clean and professional. I have zero concerns about my dogs care while she is at the daycare. I had not used Eric to train my current dog (shed probably do a more consistent recall if I had), but I have a friend who did seek training assistance here and she was more than pleased.

2022-08-14**Edit to say I was contacted for my pup to do a refresher course to correct some issues he was still having. I am so very pleased with the time they have given him and appreciate all the effort to reach out and helpLet me start off by saying the building where we dropped off and picked up was very clean and nice. For the price of the 2 week board in train I expected more then just my dog learning not to pull while on a leash. I never saw pictures at like lowes, pets mart where he would have been socially helped. I got pics of him on a normal walks. We did and are still very consistent in the home training and I know it is not a quick fix/ learn for these puppies but I do feel I could have put a chocker on him and taught him not to pull on leash myself. I was looking for more of the puppy behavior to be corrected such as the biting , and not being scared around other dogs, listening better also. I just feel I got the leash training

2022-06-25I showed up with a scared little rescue puppy. I left with a totally transformed puppy and continue to trust their every move. Absolutely recommend and encourage everyone with a dog of any kind to reach out for training, daycare, boarding and any needs..
