Absolutely delicious. BBQ pork tacos were soooooo good. They werent too busy and everything came out quick.
I got the Hawaii Fajitas. Perfection! Pineapple, chicken, chorizo, peppers, onions were juicy and full of flavor. And ya know hearing that sizzle just gets your senses ready to nomnom.Hubby got the Tacos ala Mexicana. He ate the entire meal and was compelled to get another for lunch the next day. The chicken is SO GOOD!Ask the server for their hot sauce. Its bold and flavorful, doesnt taste vinegary.10/10!!! Keep up the great work! You have revived our interest in Mexican food.
As a Hispanic who has dined in many mexican restaurant this one not close enough to authentic our food was blend I order a pina colada no pinaple flavor in it most folk that doesnt know what real mexican food should taste like go to si señor at Colombia rd that is real mexican food

By far the best quesa Birria with consumé I’ve ever had!!! Hands down really good compared to some of the other places in the area selling it and also it’s a bigger Birria and you get 3. Staff was amazing it was my first time ordering and the girl who I talked to was amazing. All in all 1000/10

Best birria tacos ever
Have been here twice now and each time the food is great. One of the best Mexican restaurants Ive been to. The quesa birria are hands down the best Ive ever had.

This place is a local treat. I havent had anything g on the menu that I didnt.like. e en if we prepare Theron portio. Of the meal at home we still we purchase Salas and chips to complement the meal. The last trip was two orders of salsa and chips and a pitcher of margaritas to go. Taco bar party needed so authenticity

Dont let the unassuming storefront fool you, this place has oodles of atmosphere inside and out. Ate lunch on the patio out back, and the food was tremendous. Fajitas came out at full sizzle, and tasted great! Real attention to detail in the rice and refried beans. Highly recommend! Well be back!
I really enjoyed my last few experiences here. I never like to judge a place on a single isolated experience whether it was positive or negative. This place has been consistent and an enjoyable place to have a good meal and margarita! Will be back again soon.

We wanted to go in since they opened, so glad we finally did! The lovely wife and I wanted to grab a few tacos to try and ordered ahead. We went in for a couple of shots before the food was ready for pick up. The restaurant looks great inside! The staff is great! They were courteous, professional, friendly and as warm as the Patron. The food was delicious! Very colorful and flavorful!! I recommend Ricos to anyone within an hours drive. -a 5 rating isnt a common rating for me.
We took my daughters boyfriend to dinner at Ricos for his birthday. He thought it was great. I did not I ordered something and it was just me with some green and no sauce very dry but I guess everybody said it was good but me!! Who am I???
Met my son for lunch, we sat at the bar. Ordered a margarita - easily in the top 3 that Ive ever had. We also ordered Guac & Chips as an appetizer - their chunky style based on the bartender recommendation. Not only does he make a good drink but he also knows his guac. Very good! I ordered the shrimp enchiladas. They were a bit too salty for my taste, however with a little guac on them - they were fine. My son ordered steak tacos and said they were good as well. Next time in the error Id definitely want to return to Ricos.
Service was awful!! We had to ask other waiters for things we needed. Our waitress was more focused on standing around. She did try to take our drinks that were not empty. She did not visit our table as she should. My son had to wait for his meal after we all received our meals. The presentation of food and food was not very good. The ground beef was awful...burnt. The steak burrito can with nothing! Just the burrito. Our waitress did manage to bring the check right as we put our forks down. Overall terrible experience. Not sure where all the good reviews are coming from.
This was our first time eating at Rico’s. We were blown away by the size of the restaurant, the cleanliness, the decor, the staff and the food. The little nuances like moon shaped dishes, metal trays for chips and salsa, the fresh guacamole and the very genuine concern for our experience was so refreshing. Thank you to the General Manager Mario for the personal attention and wonderful experience. We will be back. Mucho gracias.
Anyone that knows me, knows I travel for tacos! We stumbled upon Ricos while driving to Michigan, and Im so glad we did. I had the quesa birria tacos and they were so good I litwrally dreamed of them a week later and HAD to go back for more!
Nice little place, good chips and salsa, then tasty fajitas.
Nachos Carbon was excellent, with lots of juicy steak, spicy chicken and shrimp. Loved the guac, made with cilantro, as God intended!4 churros were crispy, drizzled with chocolate sauce and served with a small side of vanilla ice cream. 👍Really good. Will be back.

This Mexican Restaurant is much more expensive than most that I have visited. They forgot to bring chips and salsa to the table after serving our drinks. After 20 minutes we finally ask if we could have some. The food was ok but not your normal Mexican food. Everything was foofoo... My nachos had grilled veggies including corn in it. It had black beans instead of refried beans (which I liked). My husbands fiestas tacos didnt have a shell. They were wrapped in lettuce... He said it was good, just not what he expected. I guess we were looking for more traditional food...l
Our new favorite spot. Good atmosphere, great service, quality food. Huge selection of tacos. Seafood dip app is delish. Live music on Thursday nights is great. Highly, highly recommend!

The chicken soup was delicious, had enough for 2 days. Street corn was big and juicy. Also had a chorizo taco and steak tacos, they were big and full of flavor. Definitely will be back!!

Cinco de Mayo - I ordered online. I was early getting there and gave my name and told them I ordered online. I waited at the restraurant for over 30 minutes when they came out and said they lost my order. I said cancel. On my way home, I get a call that my order was ready. I dont know if they have good food, but they sure were not ready for todays rush. Very poor planning and Im not sure I ever want to give them another try.

When the bill came there were three extra drinks on it. Not one, not two, but three extra drinks at $8.99 each. If you go to Ricos make sure that you scrutinize your bill carefully.

My first visit to Ricos food was pretty good.. I went back recently on a taco Tuesday and ordered quesa birria tacos... Not only were they the worst Ive ever tasted they were loaded with onions that werent even in the menu description.. which by the way I actually like onions.. long story short I felt like I was going to die before I even left the restaurant... Tacos from that establishment are good I just would not recommend their birria tacos to anyone not worth it $20 for 3 tacos and beef broth.... When you can get the same meal plus rice and refried beans for half the cost...

2022-05-02My wife and I came here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. We loved the location , the decor, ambiance. Very authentic looking Mexican restaurant. We got seated quickly, and our server was very pleasant. The chips and salsa was VERY good. Salsa tasted fresh and the chips were nice and crispy and had a good flavor. My wife ordered off of the lunch side of the menu, which was the grande burrito. I ordered the quesa birria tacos. It came in an order of 3 with a hot broth type soup. Our food came quickly and was hot. I don’t have any complaints other then the food was not very seasoned at all. My tacos were very greasy and the taco meat was bland. My wife’s burrito was the same way. She had chicken for the meat, and it was bland as well. We felt the prices for the entrees was pretty high. But being in Avon lake. Yeah. The rent must be high in this building. I mean. You do get good portions but I’ve had meals that cost less at other Mexican restaurants that tasted better then here. I really wanted to like this place, but we probably won’t be back again.

2021-07-23My wife and I decided to try Ricos tonight. We been wanting to but after going out with friends and them recommending going. We definitely had to. I ordered the Canpechanos and my wife ordered the ACP. Everything was amazing. The atmosphere of Ricos is so cool and chill. The presentation of the food was perfect and very fast service. Israel was one of the best servers Ive had in a long time. I definitely recommend to try Ricos if youre looking for great Mexican food. Also the drinks are very good.

2021-02-23👍🏼Absolutely Delicious!👍🏼I moved to Ohio from a border town in South Texas. Where real mexican food is the norm & everything else is trying to be. BUT This place. This golden gem called Ricos Tacos & Tequila completely knocked it out of the park. Walked in, place was clean, smelled clean & is beautiful. The art and decor is true. Theres a nice live performance stage with a fireplace. We were promptly seated by our friendly server. Service was fast, food was hot and flavorful. Appetizer was the mexi calamari. Yum! Temp was hot and flavorful. I ordered the Torta.. my number one tester in any mexican restaurant. I immediately smiled. Yum! (Steak Torta) My husband ordered the lunch burrito, I didnt hear which one sorry. But It was delicious. I had a piece. Chips and salsa were incredibly fresh. Guys, I was impressed. Prices are great considering other places like Don Tequila, since they raised their prices, we havent gone back there but Ricos, oh man, great prices and great food. Highly recommend!! We dined in to support the business & employees. Give tips and meet staff. New regulars.

2021-05-23Today was first visit and we were really happy.The exterior is deceiving, it looks super small,Cool atmosphere, and theres a nice sized stage, so I suspect there have entertainment.Outside, is a large patio with several tables and cabana type bar with a large flatscreen tv.Fiesta tacos were great, not slathered in sauce, with great flavors. Mexican street corn was delightful. Perfect portion of rice and bean-a lot of places overdo this IMO.( Tacos Ala Mexicana pictured)Only small complaint was the margarita. We all expect cocktails to be overpriced in restaurants, but this was far too expensive for a large glass packed with ice and very little margarita.Great find, we will be back.
