A miniature of a large lake park. Lego Village style. Small dock, picnic tables, grills, swings, tennis courts, pavilions, tiny beach and yes, turtles. No fishing license needed!
Nice walking path. free swimming and fishing(without license). Playground is nice for older kids. But some of the equipment is outdated and not advisable for children under 5 imo.
Its a really good part to come stay the night very quiet at night friendly people but you never know how many people ever exercise until you stay out of walking Park
Will always be the park my kids and i go to. The trail is amazing and they have cameras around the area. Not to mention the no smoking is a plus
Nice area. There is a .8 mile walking/running trail which loops around the lake. If youre coming here to fish, do not waste youre time. Its very rare to pull from here. It has been cleaned up over the last few years and I hope the fish population increases in that time.
A beautiful place to exercise or chill and be at peace. We are so fortunate to have it. Kids have a terrific park to play and just be kids. Just might get lucky and find a painted Richwood Rock.

A great little park with a beautiful lake. Kids can swim, fish, play on the playground, and run around in a safe, small-town environment. The baseball and softball fields are very well-kept. There is even primitive camping available.

Very nice place to have everything from a small family picnic to a reunion. Water was still high from all the rain but they did an excellent job of cleaning up the areas that had receded.
Beautiful park but its missing a few things, like trash cans/recycling bins around the path, plus water fountains for both people and animals. Other than that its fabulous

Beautiful park with a great playground and lake. I just wish that they would do done maintenance and repairs to the bathrooms and some of the play equipment. My 4 year old lives it!

Plenty of things to keep the kids busy. not to long ago they put in a bunch of rock around the lake and a new walking path and they keep up on the trash

The water is dirty and I swear fish do not exist in it. But, all around its not that bad. Basketball courts and a play ground for kids with a shelter house or 2...
Love the park, grew up playing softball on the softball fields and playing on the playground. The new walking trail is a great addition as well.
Pretty park with lots of shade and a pond to fish. Portajohns, shelter houses and ample parking. Great spot for bikers to stop...if you can find it. 😉
First time there. Not to bad. Need more sand for where you lay. But people are trashing it with litter. Put litter in trash cans. Keep it nice.

I went fishing it was so nasty and disgusting there were bees everywhere dead fish every where

2020-10-13Nice park for a town the size of Richwood. The lake itself is beautiful. You can fish there without a license required, boat, and there is a beach as well. Restroom facilities are available, in need of a little updating though. There is ball fields, basketball court, tennis courts, horseshoe pits, and shelter houses. Many of these are in need of upkeep, but are available.

2022-06-07Great place for pokemon go, fishing, and kids. Stay out of park after 10pm, unless youre fishing, otherwise the cops will tell you to leave the park.

Very family friendly, shelters to have events, tennis court, basketball court, ball fields, swings, play ground, a trail all around the lake, a nice clean beach to swim, and an asphalt walking trail all the way around the lake. Trash cans, benches, parking, and pet friendly!!!! Love our park!!!

2021-07-28Nice peaceful beautiful place to go take a walk. It is nice the trail is easier to walk and does not have as many tripping hazards hazards butThe downside is it doesnt have as much of a nature walk type of feel. I think everyone in the community does a great job at keeping the park very clean.

2020-07-19This is a really Gorgeous park! Theres a lake where you can swim in the sandy beach area, I was told you can boat, and also fish without a license, Theres a playground, as well. The shelters were only $35 to rent for the whole day! My only complaint is that there was a lot of animal feces on the sand, in the beach area. So, you had to tip toe around piles, and I wouldnt allow my kids to play in the sand. But, other than that, we loved it!

2021-04-02This is a great park,nice walking path around a clean pond, playground area for the kids . The ballfields are always in great shape. Richwood always have great ball leagues. Very family friendly.
