The family at Richs were great. They came in a short amount of time, towed my truck and trailer, and offered plenty of help. They were reasonably pricedgiven todays market demand. They even gave me a lift to a local hotel without any additional costs. I highly recommend this company for any of your towing needs. Aside from towing They also haul oversized loads such as, Bulldozers, Excavating equipment, and etc. Thank you so much for your help and professionalism
Richs was not the first service I called for a jump start 7:00 PM on a Sunday night (started with closest to me first) but the others would only deal with commercial accounts and not private service call after hours.Driver arrived when they said and he was excellent and did all he could to help. There was an issue ( I wont go into details) and when I called the next day to resolve Richs did so without argument or questionIssue was resolved 100% to my satisfaction. Thank you Richs (and to the person I spoke with one the phone who was also very helpful) for working with me on this.Do not hesitate to give them a call when the need arises.
My car blew a tire on the freeway last night and I was 2/3 through a 10 hour drive. Not ideal! USAA connected me with Rich’s Towing and I was very nervous, but Phil came and was sweet as can be getting me fixed up. He ended up needing to tow me as my spare tire was flat but they made things easy and quick while also being a complete gentleman to a girl stuck on the side of the road late at night nowhere near home. I absolutely recommend using them!
I am highly disappointed with the service request I made today! My truck and driver were let down by Rush Truck Center, due to their poor time management and unprofessional behavior. I called 11am to arrange my truck for starter gone bad. If I knew that they will treat their long term customer so badly I was about to make different arrangements for fixing the starter of my vehicle elsewhere. Its Feb. 5th, heavy snow and terrible freezing temperatures Richs Towing refused service to help jump start my truck so my driver would not freeze to death. Only because they are avoiding to take over a customer from Rush Truck Center....with no consideration of a human life. I really feel terrible how ultimately I am treated like the bad person...while I have been nothing but professional. To pick & choose customers in winter night is really unethical.
Nobody hardly ever likes to call and say something positive. Richs delivered a 85 foot boom lift for cat rental to my job site. Rob the delivery driver was awesome with my 7 year old. He made sure he blew his air horn and let my son check out the truck. Tyler the pick up driver was also awesome. They both showed their skills and were very professional. I was in a hard location but they both took their time and did everything they could to make it best for me. I called and told the dispatcher but more importantly i want you all to read it yourself and i hope they see it as well
I dont know why my review was taken down, but over a month or so ago I saw one of Richs towing was driving on 71 and going over 85 miles per hour and nearly ran a woman off the road driver was driving way to aggressive and could of killed someone think twice before you call them
Really great towing company. I cant remember the exact day it was but itmit was last fall indin September. I just bought my dumptruck and itdit broke down on the border of Strongsville and Middleburg heights. I was on my way to my last stump grinding Job and I had to take a right onto Sprague and then my dumptruck just wouldnt go any further then that on the intersection where u turn right onto Sprague when u turn off of Pearl. I called them and they were really nice. They wanted me to describe where I was and the guy over the phone said o yeah I know where u r, u r in Middleburg heights. One of their mechanics showed up with a massive tow truck and he knew exactly what to do. Gave me good suggestions and good recommendations. Just what one of the good reviews said on here the guys name was Alvin. I thought from looking at him he was a goofball because of the piercings he had on him. But all in all he was a very nice guy and a very great guy. Probably The only thing I didnt like about them was that they dont accept checks. Only cash or card. If any of my vehicles or trailers ever brake down again I am definitely calling them again and not only that Ill give them a enormous tip and Ill even take them out to get a bite to eat. I got lots of respect and tip my hat to these guys. I really do appreciate them. They love doing the work first then getting paid. Thats what I like doing to and theyre gonna go far. I know they have multiple shops but once they put up another shop not only will I invest in that company but Ill also give them a certain percentage for that building to get built as long as they can throw me work Ill throw them work
This place is ready to any emergency that might present!the operators are great hard working guys.My only bad experience with this place was with the ladie in the office she is very nasty not helpful and very impatiently I think that you should have someone with a better attitude to represent your company in the office.
Theyll come to you without proper equipment, insist on payment even though no service was rendered, and will call the police after you explain that you wont pay for them having done nothing. State trooper clearly saw it that way too, as he sent us on our way to safety.
Honest and FAST! Stranded when a Mishap disabled my Electric Car, 16 other tow companies would not tow it siting liability (just because it has a electric motor and battery instead of a massive tank filled with highly flammable gasoline). Finally, Police took us to a hotel for the night (Had to leave our car on the freeway).Rested and now warm, I started the search for someone who would tow my car. found Riches, called, got a almost immediate No Problem. They were at my car in 15 minutes from the call, within another 15 minutes, it was on the flat bed and we were on our way to the supercharger was was 3 miles away. Great service, and very reasonable!
I cant even explain how much I appreciate the quick response to my call and excellent recovery!!! Very pleased I live in Missouri and was terrified on the cost of a big wrecker to lift my front end and bring it around!! Very reasonable on cost and even better service very helpful and polite!! They have a excellent and very qualified heavy wrecker service!! Job Well Done!!
Upon picking up our car, we noticed that while Richs towing had our car between the hours of 4:30 am and 1:00 pm, somehow, a half tank of gas was used and a little more than 75 miles were put on our car. The mileage between pick up point (flatbed) and Richs towing was a little more than 3 miles. And the rates were way over average rates. The guys even talked to us about how the car ran, engine size, and commented that they hoped that it would be left there do that they could have more fun with it. Unacceptable! Would not recommend.
Extremely expensive. You have to pay $90 just to hookup and I had to help push the car to get lined up, then install the hook for the tow truck driver to hook up to my car to pull onto the flatbed. Plus pay $68 for mileage which was a total of 17 miles. Then the tow truck driver did not remove the hook from my car after he was done, that was left me to take care of. Why am I paying for a service when I have to do some of the work. Will never use or recommend ever!
Called to schedule a move of equipment.. was told don’t do appointments to call when I’m ready.. called a day before I was ready to set up a time for noon.. tells me itl be sometime in afternoon because they have appointments. I tell them what happened and I called days earlier to schedule this and now I have to wait..he says we don’t do appointments lol... then I said why did you just tell me you have scheduled people then??? He throws a fit and tells me to get somebody else to move it... horrible business practices. Completely unprofessional.
Jesus this receptionist either hates her job, or has no soul. Just her demeanor on the phone was enough to tell her no thank you, Ill call someone else. Her tone basically says I dont care for your business, your towing need is an inconvenience to our towing company.Yeesh. Took my business to AUTO REPAIR INC. They grabbed my car in 15 minutes, and were super polite.
Extremely difficult and unreasonable clerk. Be prepared to go hunting for obscure documents. The clerk went out of his way to make sure the car would be in storage for as long as possible (hint: they charge a lot for daily storage). Also, I got charged for two full days of storage when the car was stored for less than 24 hours. The whole car towing system is basically a scam, but these guys are very proficient at squeezing every dollar they can from you.
Give it 4 stars for the tow truck guy that helped my daughter and i. were had car fire on turnpike travelling. we had to wait 4 hours for my sister. he was in communication with lady In office. none told us while youre waiting 4 hours at a restaurant you need to call insurance company file claim. Im still in shock we were traveling to Michigan from Pennsylvania. was freaking out. when my sister gets there 4 hours later. we go to get stuff from car because everything for trip in car. that lady was ignorant and rude and snotty..so of course after 12 hours at this point im mentally exausted and tired and she is going to talk to me the way she did. funny when I went back in after reaching out to myself insurance. he said ill stay on phone with you. since had him on speaker. thats when she turned all nice because someone was listening. when someone went through what my daughter and I did. communication is key. you knew we were coming back so tell driver to tell us what we need when we come back. dont be snotty to me when i come there. would of gotten negative stars if wasnt for them awsome tow truck guy cant remember his name but he was awsome and super sweet.
First thing first customer service with the lady that pick up the phone is a Zero period. She couldnt give me any hotel in the area. She was off the phone in less then 2 minute. Call at 1030 the next morning to let her know I be checking out n was told one hour look like another hour when I call back. Im a disability veteran with bad knees told her if they not going to pick me up let me know I walk the 3 miles. It a dam shame u cant get service for the price of doing business with these company. Make u ask urself I defend this country for what ppls to lie to u. I say this to the owner I feel ur better then that Sir u need to check ur worker attention too detail. Oooh rrraaahhh. Have a bless day.
My husband discovered he had a flat tire on his way home from work. While trying to remove the tire at a gas station, one of the lug nuts broke, leaving him stranded. He saw a truck from Richs pull in and spoke with the driver who then came over, got the broken nut off and made sure the spare was secure before sending my husband on his way. We are so grateful for the help and kindness shown!
Be careful if you are going to use this company. They are extremely expensive and borderline dishonest. They charge for everything, including the right to use your credit card. Shop around if you can, because if not, you are at their mercy and its likely that the bill will be double what you expect.
Unfortunately my friend was driving my car when it was impounded and towed. First they told me they needed the title - I called prior to going up there and this was never mentioned. They said they didn’t have my keys when I got there and I almost flipped - then they found them in a high cupboard...?. Horrible experience with this company!!!
Norm was an outstanding person we were stuck in freezing below temps he changed our tire less than 30 minutes and went out of his way above and beyond what anyone else would of done this man deserves a raise I represent ur coming 100 percent and would not call anybody else thank you Darlene kovarik

2022-02-06The people I dealt with were pleasant enough, but they somehow misplaced my keys after my car was towed there following an accident. When I came back to retrieve personal items from my (totaled) car, I was just told to “go find it” out on the lot, which was very difficult considering the recent snowfall.

2022-05-16I recently had a health issue on the Ohio turnpike. Rich’s was called and showed up in record time. They took me back to their yard so they could coordinate with the turnpike for a lane closure. The truck was leaning VERY close to the tipping point due to a soft shoulder. They got it upright and lifted back on the road. And I was able to drive off no issues. Thank you from the bottom of my heart guys!

2022-06-18I will not use this business due to the receptionist got nasty and irate with me over the phone just now. I have called around to get estimates for my tow on my motorcycle. She remembered my first and only call to her. So inquired to all my searches for the best tow company. This lady was not nice! She recognized my situation yet I needed to get to her of the address to tow it to. Let me just say she was not friendly in consummating this tow transaction. Not my place to franchise.

2022-05-30Words cannot express our gratitude to Christian, who rescued us from interstate 80 early Memorial Day morning after getting stranded by a flat tire and then a flat spare. He was extremely understanding and kind. He presented options for resolving our tire issue, gave us some future travel tips that we will definitely use and safely delivered us to a location that could assist us with getting a tire a getting back on the road. Thank you so much Christian!

2022-06-28The location in Middleburg Heights didn’t give me a satisfactory experience first off I was charged 309.00 for a possible 8 mile tow. The driver that night made a threat towards me over payment he used foul language even after I was trying to pay on the spot. The customer service I received from the dispatcher both times was delightful I’m getting a 25.00 refund but the driver swore my bill wouldn’t surpass 225.00 I’m not at all satisfied I’m challenging this tooth and nail we’re not quite finished hopefully they’ll settle peacefully and courts don’t have to get involved we’ve already payed them but this is far from over.

2022-03-28Very rude and abrasive over the phone. Called and told them I needed a tow from my home to a repair shop and she snottily replied “does your home have an address?” Didn’t need this attitude today after my car broke down. Will never use again

2018-08-31This review is for the Oakwood Branch. Even though they damaged my stabilizers, this operation is quite impressive! Background: My trailer broke down on the Ohio Turnpike and Richs has the contract for all turnpike towing in this section. So my travel trailer insurance company, Coach Net, contacted them. Two guys showed up in two trucks and they worked for an hour getting the trailer and car loaded onto a landoll. In the process they scraped the bottom and a stabilizer was bent. (It happens.) I was concerned about more damage but the two drivers insisted only one stabilizer was bent. Both guys (Jim & Blane) were professional and obviously experienced; they knew what they were doing (especially Blane). They took pictures of the damage theyd done and apologized & said they were sure Richs would cover the cost of damage theyd caused. They towed us to a Walmart to spend the night, since thats what our insurer had arranged, and they returned the next day at 3 (an hour late due to storm). This time Alvin was the driver. He, too, was quite knowledgeable - a real pro: professional & had tons of equipment and tools for handling whatever might come up. He worked methodically and with precision. He, too, apologized for damage that had occurred the night before. We followed him and after unloading the trailer at the repair shop (JTI), providing dinner recommendations, and scouting the lot to assure we were safe, he left us.Now, heres whats most impressive! The next morning shortly after 8 a.m. another Richs truck showed up, driven by Denise. Shed come to look at the stabilizer damage and arrange for that to be paid for by Richs. She asked about what had happened and determined that not one but two stabilizers were bent. She worked with JTIs customer service to assure Richs was billed for new stabilizers.Imagine that! A company not only proactively agreeing to cover damage theyd done (without needing to be coerced into that) but actually finding and arranging to pay for additional damage we werent yet aware of. And like Blane and Alvin, Denise was quite professional, courteous, and clearly knew her stuff. But wait. It gets even better. When Richs learned it would take an extra day to get the parts in for the stabilizer repair, the branch manager, Jay, stepped in to assure our comfort. So that we could explore Cleveland, he personally got our trailer when JTI was finished for the day and tired it to his branch location which has 24 hour security. He connected us to water and electricity and even turned a light on for us. He assured the night manager knew wed be coming and would provide us access to whatever we needed plus coffee in the morning. But thats still not all! He even had his guys wash our trailer (wed been on the road for 6 weeks so it was filthy.) THATs customer service! Thanks, Jay and Richs.
