Dont buy! They try to sell me flooded car!!! worst experience ever I went there ready to buy a specific car after price drop on their web page just to find out the car was full with water. There was water in every compartment under the floor mats, engine , trunk under the spare tire... after asking to speak with manager to find out what is going on they told me car in not for sale. I made some pictures as proof
Amazing experience today buying a Kia Seltos with my fiancé. From Rafael Jacobo to Steve Walker and Josh Tolliver they created a fun, simple, and amazing experience. If you have never been here or boughten a car from Ricart they should be your number 1 choice every time . They treat you like family and make the process fast and efficient while keeping you comfortable. Thanks again guys!
Where do I start about another horrible experience from Ricart. I swear I cant make this up. My best friend went to look for a car. He called before hand and told him what the desire payment would be. And not a dollar more. Our salesman was Greg Boytman. So me, my best friend, and fiance get there 4-13-2019 @11:45am. We didnt leave the lot until 7:30pm, without a car mind you.So the first car we look at is a 2013 Dodge Charger RT. Fully loaded. Our salesman brings us the carfax report on the car and proceeds to tell us that there is 3 recalls on the vehicle and all we had to do is take it to a dodge dealership and they would fix the issues for free. I proceeded to ask is the vehicle ok to drive with the recalls, and Greg said its just a alternator issue, you will be fine. So we take it on the test drive, go down Williams Road to Alum Creek and jump on 270 East. As we proceed to head on to the freeway, the car shuts down. The gauges go all the way up, then down. The 8 inch screen goes black, the A/C cuts off. Mid you we are on the freeway full speed. The windshield wipers come on , gauges going haywire and now fear is setting in. The car locks up the steering wheel and we have no BRAKES! ZERO brakes!!! We are coasting down the freeway and coming up on the Hamilton road exit. Thank God it is a uphill exit. Because of that we come within inches of hitting the car in front of us. The car completely shuts down at the top of the ramp. No power or anything, we cant even put it in gear to push it off the road. So we call are salesman Greg and proceed to tell him the car broke down on the exit ramp and we cant move. And we need someone to come and get up. He asked us was we serious and if this is a joke. We have him on speaker phone and tell him this isnt a joke. We need someone to get up. And asked again if this was a joke. No sense of urgency or belief what we are telling him is truth. Until we finally get aggressive with our tone and tell him, this isnt a joke and send someone to come get us NOW!So we get back to dealership. They apologize for our near death experience. They bring us another car test. This one was able to complete a test drive. We didnt like it so we moved on to test drive a Ford Edge. We all really liked it a lot. We get back to the lot after the test drive and we tell Greg this SUV is the ONE. We go back inside and proceed to get the numbers to work. Mind you we told him $400 a month was out limit. Nothing more, it was non negotiable with the $400 a month. Well of course he comes back with a $485 a month term and $500 down, smh! We tell him thats not acceptable. He says why not, its a nice SUV. Then immediately he says what about $450 a month lol just like that it dropped $35 a month. We tell him no way, we ask can we get a discount for our near death experience in their car on the freeway. They laugh at that statement like it was a joke. Mind you we didnt think anything was funny. So after back and forth about the $450 payment we ask can they just fix the Dodge Charger and gives a extended warranty and we would buy that car. We really really liked that car. They said they would do that for us and they got the payments where we needed it. Perfect, done deal right?? Nope!! Then they asked us if we would put the $500 down on the car to hold it. I ask him why would we put $500 down on a car that isnt running or working? He looked me dead in the eye and said to hold it. Like that made sense. I asked him again, for a car thats not working? I let him know that would be foolish to put money down on a car that isnt fixed yet nor is it guarantee it would get fixed. Greg assured us by Wednesday it would be fixed, Friday at the latest lol Once we told him were not putting money down until we test drove it again and it was fixed. Next thing I know Greg said well how about you sign the financial paperwork that you are purchasing the car. We told him it would be absurd to sign a deal of a non working vehicle. He told us after its fix the public could buy it(bullying us)! BUYER BEWARE!!
Price was fair, car was in better shape than same models at two other large Columbus-area dealers and Nate the sales guy was fast and didnt waste my time with typical used car sales guy B.S.Once Nate realized I was a serious buyer and just needed to evaluate this specific car, we were full throttle toward the finish line, and I appreciated that. For the test ride, he handed me the keys and said, take it out as long as you want. There was no prescribed route or time limit. As for the car, it presented very well. It ran strong and performed as expected when asked to accelerate past the point of reasonable traction (sorry, Nate). It was clean and had no strange noises or vibrations. Im surprised at the number of large, big-name dealers who dont seem to properly detail, or even vacuum, their late-model used cars. I get that this is a lot of work, but Ricart apparently can pull it off; this car was spotless.A couple other cars that I drove at other dealerships of the same age (2013) and miles (around 40k) were filthy and, even more troubling, vibrated almost to the point of a safety concerns. Either I was the first one to drive those cars (doubtful) or they just didnt care.I forget the name of the finance guy, but he was just as quick. Of course, he pushed the extended warranty pretty hard, but thats his job. Once we went through the motions and I said no the proverbial three times, he whipped through the paperwork in a flash and I was out of there. Its important to understand that buying a car, especially a used one, is a two-way street. Often when people have bad experiences, its because they didnt know what they wanted or what they could afford when they walked into the dealership. I arrived at Ricart knowing exactly what I wanted, with experience shopping this model and with financing already set up and a down payment ready to go.I cant comment on what type of experience youll have if you go in unprepared, or work with a different sales rep, but if you have your business in order and expectations properly set, Ricart and Nate the sales guy are a solid option.
We have bought trucks from here since the early 90s just about every 2 to 3 years. We have been very faithful to ford. We have a 2019, we had a flat, went to change it with the tire tool that was in the truck , the tool put scratches around the lug nut area on the wheel. The tool is off center. The woman in service said how do I know that was the tool that came with the truck, then insinuated my husband did not know how to use it properly. My husband has many certifications in mechanics. So they wont help. Ford wont help. They put the messed up tool in the truck. They would not even look at the truck. We thought very highly of ricart. We just feel that its not customer friendly anymore.
Probably the worst experience I’ve had purchasing a vehicle. We had originally gone in for an SUV but could not get the financing to work. Our salesman showed us other options, none of which I was very impressed with. By the end of the night, I was convinced I had to trade my newer car in for a used 2015 SUV. This car had a horrible odor to which the salesman said it was because they were short staffed but it would come out if we cleaned it…. Its been a couple months and no one can get this smell out. I also should mention since we were shown the vehicle after the sun had gone down, we didn’t notice the cigarette burn marks all over the back doors. I’m honestly disgusted I even went to this place and they still felt good about selling me a car I absolutely hate.
Ricart will provide excellent service when selling you a car or when badgering you to trade your current vehicle for a new one. Trying to get your three year old car scheduled for a serious service issue is less effective. My car wont start but they cant get to it for ten days. When I called, twice, to try to arrange a loaner car for the meantime I never received a return call. I realize that it was a holiday weekend but a ten minute phone call wouldnt have taken that much time from their day. And while I hate to pull the cancer card, I have to have a reliable car to get to my doctor appointments and chemo treatments. They were made aware of that in both of my messages and still no call. I was thinking of trading my car in this fall for a new one but it looks like I might have to go to a different dealership.Addendum: I finally received a return phone call and theyve found an interim solution while we wait for my service date.
My boyfriend and I were looking for a specific car and decided to check this place out. The guy helping us was nice at first then proceeded to be pushy and try to up sale us. I know all these gimmicks. He then proceeded try to push other cars onto us and when we politely said no thanks, he just started to walk away from us in the parking lot. Their staff could use training on customer service, this coming from someone who has worked in management extensively.
Everyone is friendly but this place is a rip off. I bought a new car here. My credit score ranges from 800-815. They gave me a 5% interest rate. They said that was the best they could do. I found out later that they profit off of the interest rates too. I know to bring my own loan next time I am car shopping but probably will not do it here.
I was really looking forward to purchasing my first new car with Ricart but sadly due to a salesman (Nathan Keasey) lack of care and experience I will no longer be considering ricart. Very rushed and very unprofessional. Customer service is obviously not important to these folks.
Its a gated dealership. For test drives stop at the main entrance gate and attendant will put a tag on the vehicle.Went their in August and ordered a kia seltos sx. Received a call in September that seltos is here!! Went there to test drive and found out it was seltos s not sx. What happened to the X after the S. Oh! Kia sent the wrong one! Really! This auto shortage is insane. Hard to get what you want, just pick whats there. Cant blame the dealership for the shortage. They are doing their best. Nice people though. 4 stars are for the people, sales, receptionist, entrance attendants who put tags on for test drives. maybe not the director who never replied to my voice mail and probably knew what was going on thats why.
Bought a really nice 96 Thunderbird there years ago and was very satisfied. Im in the market to get a car now so I might have to swing by again. Last time the sales guy I spoke to when I tried to finance something myself was upfront, honest and said having less then a 1,000 down payment shouldnt discourage me. He was willing to stay after hours and help me. I felt bad and didnt want to waste his time and not get approved My cousin bought both her vehicles there when she worked there. Said no issues at all.
Fairly unpleasant experience. I came here completely ready to buy a specific car after speaking with a sales rep and letting him know to expect me. Having grown up in the area, I wasn’t keen on dealing with Ricart, they have a poor reputation for customer service, among other things. I spent a great deal of the evening waiting. Eventually, I test drove the vehicle and I would’ve bought it if not for the car dealer games they decided to play. (Getting a phone call talking about how I’m “playing hardball” because I won’t take half of what I’d been offered at another dealership for my trade-in). He basically told me that since I had my own financing and I had picked a car they had listed for a really good price, that they had to make money on the deal in some way. The sales manager was supposed to call me back later that day and never bothered. I never heard from the guy again. Another guy called me a few days later. I called him right back and never heard from him again either. I bought a brand new Jeep at Performance Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram and am pretty happy to have ended up doing business with a much more reputable company.
Worst customer service ever! My boyfriend has bought several vehicles over the years from Ricart and was a loyal customer. His 2013 Ford F 350 superduty diesels engine blew with only 95,000 miles on it! Ricart had the vehicle for 3 weeks anns charged him $950 to diagnose the issue. They wanted to charge him more to put everything back together! They wouldnt offer any assistance besides a tiny discount and told him it would cost $18,000 for a new engine! They couldnt offer any reason why the engine would blow when the truck shouldve lasted many more years. I would discourage anyone from going to this dealership. I have talked to several other people since then that said they would never go back to Ricart. They are terrible to someone who was a loyal customer!
It was a great privilege to work Heather in my new car purchase. She was very considerate, she went over all the details of my new car, and took a lot of time in setting up all the features for my car. Her excellent customer service and courtesy made me feel comfortable in what can be a very stressful and intimidating experience buying a new car. She really cares about making sure you are happy and knowledgeable about your purchase. I met Cameron a few weeks prior and was great to work with, and really helped me in getting excellent pricing for my purchase and trade in. Sean was awesome in the finance department in getting me the best loan and answering all my questions in helping me understand the process and paperwork. Everyone in the dealership was so nice in making this experience excellent. I would highly recommend anybody in the car buying market come to Ricart and see Heather for their purchase!
Buyer Beware. I wrote an eval shortly after I purchased this vehicle when it experienced problems with smoking coming from under the hood and couldnt find help. They kept it for 2 weeks and said nothing wrong and returned it. Less than 1500 miles later, a major component is found to be leaking (oil cooler) which they now refuse to fix. I also have the included MOTOR TREND CERTIFIED VEHICLE WARRANTY (6 months or 7500 miles) which refuses to cover this major component which was probably the cause of the problem 1 week after purchase. I also have the 100k miles warranty which refuses to cover the issue either even though is a crucial component due to the NAME of the part, not what it does. Then Ricart states they wont cover it because over 60 days from purchase, even though they possessed it for over 2 weeks. Im told since I cant prove that this was the issue when they had it for 2 weeks then oh well. The warranty is called EASY CARE but is anything but easy. Even if their staff looks over the vehicle and certifies it, you are on your own. I know they have multiple great reviews but Ive had 2 HORRIBLE instances now in less than 90 days. Youre going in on luck if you purchase from them. Their word means nothing. My mechanic is appalled at how this is being handled and cant believe the treatment and run around they received either.Side note: I didnt purchase a 20 year old sedan, I purchased a 5 year old Heavy Duty Diesel truck with only 60k miles. Steer clear!
I was looking at a used Equus on Auto Trader these guys had and I inquired about it and Matt got right back to me via text (thank you so much for texting me instead of bugging me with a zillion calls, I am definitely a texter!) and sent me the Carfax report to review and I would really have loved to have bought that particular Equus because it was the best overall deal on one that was available anywhere in the country at that moment (and I have been looking at these for a while). However, the car was such a good deal it flew off their lot that same day, but Matt was kind enough to follow up with me and text me to let me know and offered to help me further. I don’t live in Ohio, but I’d definitely recommend this place if I did. I just hope whatever car I end up with is as good a deal as this one was!
My reason for this review is because these boys truly earned it. They made me feel welcome and apart of the family at Ricart. Daniel and Austin were more then kind and caring while I was trying to figure out what I wanted in a new car. We had some craziness during the process but they were completely understandable and kept telling me everything was going to be fine. They made sure I was buying the right car for me and made sure I knew what I wanted before we sealed the deal. If I had to choose anyone to help myself or anyone I know buy a car it would be them. With their help that day I got a brand new car that Im completely in love with. I couldnt possibly thank these men enough. If I was asked by anyone where they should buy a car it would definitely be Ricart. But most importantly I would recommend these men to help them. You guys are excellent workers and sales men. Thank you for making my experience worth it and making me feel like a part of the Ricart family 😊
Was a 3 time Ricart customer, always did right by me , then pandemic hit, wanted to trade in for a less expensive car, called, sales staff with no return call, then called and left sales manager a message, no reply, finally someone calling for sales manager called back. Told him I wanted to trade for a new model, but was currently underwater with loan.Asked him to look into all possibilities, would have accepted a sorry can’t help you. Instead, waited for 2 days for a call back. No call, so I called and left another message, and waited to no avail. Guess I wasn’t worth calling back.Lost my future business, since I won’t be underwater long, but another dealership might respond to a 3 time customer.
I cant begin to explain the headache and really poor customer service Ricart gives. I really dont know how people continue to buy cars there. All that being said, Ill try to be concise with my complaint. They were supposed to refund me money for a service they didnt follow through on. I received a portion of it after many many phone calls and speaking to the manager of that department. But now after more calls Ive made, like before, no returned calls. All Im wanting is the money they were supposed to give me. But all I get are excuses, poor customer service, and no returned calls. I dont know if small claims is an option but Ill be looking into my options. Beware of shopping there. After you buy a car its all down hill.Add on: I would like to say that in both of the bad customer service experiences I had, Cindy followed up with me. I will say that she did a great job of trying to clean up the bad experiences; I really appreciate her help.
Showed up for oil change an rotation 15 minutes early at 7:45 am. Was second in line. 2 hours later it was done. Pulled out of their garage and heard a clicking. Pulled a u turn back into their garage and there was a large nail in my tire. They tried to say I must have had it when I came in. I drive 80mph from an hour away to get here. Lol. No chance that was in there. They picked it up when taking it to service. Said they’d plug it and that was over two hours ago. Multiple service issues with other patrons while I’m waiting. I’ll never be back here for anything.
They need to have way better communication! My husband and I drove an hour out there and spent 4 hours looking at cars and left with nothing due to the numbers not lining up from what the salesman was telling us it should be, and what it actually was when we sat down. Once home we looked online and decided on a New Telluride listed as it transit, and my husband was emailing with someone telling them we wanted it and trying to sort everything out. Someone new (not original salesman, not the person that emailed) called him the next morning and had no idea about the e-mails. We told him the car we were interested in, even though we were confused since he had been emailing with someone the night before. We asked for him to check the interior color for us before we moved forward with paperwork. First he told us it was just off the truck and being inspected and would send a pic when he got back to it. Next text was saying someone was looking at it so he could not get a pic of the interior and he was pretty sure they were going to but it. Didnt matter that we had spent hours there two days before or that we reached out the day before about that specific car. We were informed by the first salesman that they are on commission...so apparently that equals out to they dont care about you. We were told before we left the dealership the first day we could could purchase totally online and we thought that was true. You might be able to do the paperwork and everything if you get to that point, but they dont value you as a customer unless you are there in person. We reached out the day before about the Telluride they let the people there in person walk away with it. Not the way to treat people! Beyond disappointed in Ricart! Remember they are on commission and dont care about their customers! Never got a follow up or anything from them..probably because they dont care.
We bought our most recent car from Ricart for the first time. And the last. A few hours after leaving the dealer ship, the light came on to check the auto stop. So the very next day we had to take it the shop and have the battery fixed. Luckily, its still under warranty since it only has 5k miles on it. Also, items that were listed to be with the vehicle at the time of purchase were not included. Even after calling and letting them know the items were missing, they said would not be getting them for us. So more money we had to spend out of pocket even after spending almost $35k with them. Poor customer service, false inspection reports, and they were very sneaky with financing. Highly do not recommend.
I truly am loving Ricart Ford. I had the most excellent service at this Mega Car area. I had been turned down by several car lots, even the ones who coin the phrase,Bad Credit, Low Credit and even No Credit, that they guarantee you will be approved for a car loan and actually turned there backs to me shaking there heads. When I entered Ricart, I was treated with the upmost respect and informed that they work with several different banks. As I test drove a beautiful, gold , 4-door , vehicle which had a roof top, I came back and was quickly approved. Even though I did not get this car, because I needed to get to my bank on Monday to obtain the funds. This beautiful car was sold that Saturday. I appreciate all the time and effort that the Sales Person put in to help me find another vehicle that was reliable and within my budget. So glad I was blessed to have such a wonderful team working extremely hard to satisfy me, as I enjoyed the FREE coffee ☕ and popcorn. Thanks Ricart👍
Was roped in with an offer for a free visa gift card to get my recall serviced there. They were friendly, but thats where my good experience ends. Later not only did they give me an estimate on repairs for other things, but said repairs would have costed me a lot 563.88 to replace spark plugs a 1hour job at the most. 632.00 to mount and balance 4 new tires.? Then I got emails letters and phone calls to try and purchase my car. Look do not go to a dealership to get repairs done. Unless you are under warranty, or you drive a BMW or something that has said repairs covered for the life of your car. Ladies please dont let anyone scare you into going to a dealership. Especially Not The Dealership! I say ladies because it is a well known fact that a lot of people in the industry will try to play on your fears and take advantage of you for a sale. And everyone keep yourself well informed about what repairs should cost both high and low ends of the spectrum. End rant
I havent purchased a car from a dealership in over 13 years. I was prepared for a very long and exhaustive day. I was very surprised at how smooth this transaction went. I was in and out in less than 3 hours. We went online and found the car we wanted to test drive, went to Ricart met John and he took it from there. He was direct, honest, and respectful of our time. He really helped to drive the process along in a timely manner. My past experience really soured me on the car buying experience, it is safe to say that John has renewed my confidence. I highly recommend Ricart Used Car dealership, and if you go there ask for John.
I purchased a new Hyundai 3 months ago. The buying experience itself was good and went smoothly, but after that, its been nothing but problems. A simple oil change resulted in the oil being overfilled by a couple quarts. Ive been in there 3 times for issues with the radio shutting off randomly. I got video of it occurring and was told itd be 3-5 days to get here. I called after 5 days and was told it was on backorder. Apparently its too much to call and notify someone that you have no idea when or if the radio will ever show up. This is the first and the last car I will ever buy from here.Update: On August 1st, I got a call about a different review. There was no record of my 3rd visit where I showed them the video of the radio issue. They called pretty quick after I left the review. If they were as quick & consistent on fixing things as getting upset over an honest review, things might actually go smoothly for them.
This was a big purchase for us and we had a great time hanging out with Nick Nader - maybe too much fun! We had researched the KONA online and thought that was what we wanted - but Nick showed us so much more and there was a ton of laughter during the test drive and demonstration. The whole process was very easy and simple starting on the phone the day before our purchase. We were greeted by multiple people who helped to make us comfortable and they had the cars we wanted to look at ready to go before we arrived. We were there about 4 hours or so - part of that was us asking questions while we were making the decision. The second part was the super and thorough customer service that Ricart offered. The finance part of the deal was actually very easy and faster than I expected. We were getting weary of the clock by the end - but the delivery checklist proved to be super important in making sure that everything was covered (like installing the Navigation chip). We have seen the commercials for years - but this was our first Ricart experience. Best price in Ohio on this car and a superior can-do but no-pressure atmosphere. We wont need another car for awhile - but we wont forget our Ricart experience when that time comes!
I had a wonderful experience coming to Ricart. Cars and pricing were great. The staff were helpful and nice. They did a great job of explaining the process. They even worked with me on getting a car without a down payment. I went in on a Saturday(which was busy) and was helped right away. I was driving home in a new car in less than 3 hours. I have to give a shout out to Jon P. because he was professional, down to earth, and was all around the best cars salesman! I definitely will recommend Ricart to anyone looking for a new or used car. I will be coming back for any future car purchases. Thank Ricart for making buying a car easy and an enjoyable experience!
I had researched on-line before coming and wanted to see and feel cars in person. As advertised, Ricart had largest selection available on lot so it was one stop to see everything we were considering. I wasnt planning on making a purchase during this visit as we were evaluating options. The car and price were right so I decided we were done with research and to make the purchase.Brian, our salesperson, was great. He treated me (mom) and my daughter with respect, greeted us as we got out of the car and provided the right level of technical info for me.The financing took longer than anticipated. Partly because I had not researched this yet as I wasnt planning on buying during this visit. And, partly because the dealership was very busy.Overall, I was very impressed with the Ricart campus, availability, and service. I will definitely make the 30 minute drive from Dublin the next time we are in the market.
My past experience with Ricart about 12 years ago did not go well, with Ricart or with Ford. So when I was looking for a new car, I did not hesitate to discount Ricart. However, it would have been a mistake on my part. They had the car I wanted and worked with me on the price. The people I dealt with were nice and professional. The follow up after my purchase was top notch. The free car wash is an added bonus. I should get my first oil change in about 3 months and hope my surprising and outstanding experience continues.
I purchased my car there and go for all of my cars service needs. Everyone is pleasant and easy to work with. Ive never felt like I was being taken advantage of like other vehicle service shops. When I purchased my vehicle, I also got a VIP package so I get a few oil changes free and free car washes anytime I want. You cant beat it. It was worth it have a lasting good relationship and great service.
I bought my 1st John die from record. The sales people were very helpful the business people are very helpful very pushy but they wanna make a sale. I like them and I hate them all at the same time I like them because they tried to get me to buy car and I did buy one I hate them in the sense that I dont like being pushed and pressured without an opportunity to thank. When they say were dealing theyre really not but what they do have are great prices to start with so in a sense theyve already dealt. All in all a very nice experience for car buying
Ricart has changed through the years. Its changed for the good. Back in 1998 I bought a brand new truck. Not paying attention by the time I paid it off I had been over charged $4000. I was suppose to get the Ford A plan and pay what Ricart had paid for the truck. But seeing the info when I got the title the car dealers they had then didnt do me right. But the people that works for them now are awesome. I thought Id never go back. But they have way more selections to choose from. So Ive had 3 great experiences in buying 3 used cars. But always pay attention to what youre being charged. Good job Ricart!!!By the way, Drew Harrison was the young man I bought my 2014 Ford Escape from. He was very friendly and made sure I was treated in a kind manner and with respect. The salesman that helped us with my wifes car, same thing. Very nice gentleman. Also when we bought my daughter a car. So yeah, great place to buy your vehicle!
Not only did we get a great vehicle, we got a great sales person. Josh was amazing! Staff was very friendly, helpful and professional! This was our first time at this dealership and we will definitely come back. Even though we live over an hour away, the trip was well worth the drive. We got a great vehicle at a great price and our very satisfied! Thank you Josh!!!
Our salesman did everything possible to make sure that I was approved and walked out with a car the day I went in, and that was not an easy task. He made me feel comfortable and confident about all the decisions I was making. He genuinely cared about what car was best for me and what deal was most beneficial for ME. He made sure I was getting a car that was right for my situation. I am happy with the financing I was able to get. I would not have a new car if it werent for Shanes persistence and hard work.
Usually dont have any issues here with service. This trip came up short. Car wasnt washed (needed salt removed badly). Was told the car wash wasnt working. However the person checking out ahead of me had a nice clean car, and the service tech announced we even got it washed for you! Also waited 25 minutes after I was told my service was done and theyd be right out, to get my car. But, my oil was changed, and tires rotated, which is why I was there. So three out of five isnt horrible.
2 year old car peeling paint which is a shoddy factory defect. Both Ford and Ricart refused to make it right. We have bought numerous vehicles from Ricart over many year. Spent 5 hours at dealership the day we got my Escape. Paid for extended warranty plus other packages that supposedly protect paint under carriage fabric etc which raised the monthly payment up $200+. Only to be told this issue was not covered and warranty expired. Not sure how extended warranty is already over in just 2 years. Was told we would have to pay $677.25 to get it repainted properly. With all the money we have spent with Ricart over the years and all the money spent for extra coverage on the Escape, that they should have approved that $677.25 to make a factory shoddy paint job that was not done right. Paint SHOULD NOT literally peal off the car. Ford and Ricart make so much money that they can afford to pay to make a Ford mistake right for a loyal customer. Cant believe we are being treated this way. It is not like we are asking a lot to make me vehicle right. I paid for all the extra protection and spent hours at the dealership and Ford wont approve a measly $677.25 to make the paint right. SAD situation. Please make it right.
Kevin K. at the Ford Quick lane was excellent. My car was having electrical issues, which SUCK BTW because they are hard to pinpoint the cause.Kevin was friendly and very thorough, trying to find the cause, even though one was never found. I can say it wasnt for his lack of trying. He assured me that my car was ok that they would be more than happy to look at it again if the issue arises in the future.Again, electrical issues are so hard to find, it can be a needle in a haystack, but Kevin gave me the assurance we needed to continue to Ricart for our car buying and repair needs. Keep up the great work, Kevin.
My father had spoke to two representatives about getting a base line model car and we asked if we could get it with a monthly payment of $180, me being a college student. We gave them my information that they would use to figure out my quotes before we even left. My dad said we wouldnt make the hour and half trip if they knew they couldnt help us. The representative that we mainly worked with said that we could definitely do that sir. We got there, spent our time signing paperwork, and tested the car for a few minutes, then waited on them to set up the last details. They then tell my dad that we would have a monthly payment of $250 on a base line car after we had already given them my information well beforehand and said we cant do that. They then bring out the one of the head workers to try to talk us into buying it before we left. They still only moved it to $220. They moved the price oh so quick, but only that small amount after knowing that we could only do 180? 220 monthly is not even close to 180 for a college student... They LIED and WASTED our time... NOT worth reasoning with them...
Right from the beginning Brian made me feel like he cared about my situation. He was super friendly and very helpful. And he made sure I understood everything that was being explained to me. I had just been in an accident that totaled my car, and he made sure I got exactly what I was looking for. Didnt pressure me into buying more than I needed, or at a price higher than my budget allowed. Overall I would absolutely recommend this store to someone looking for a car. And if I ever need to get another car, I will definitely be going back to Ricart. Drew Elford was also very helpful and got me everything I needed in the financial department. Thank you so much!
DONT BUY! Very aggressive. Takes your keys to trade and wont give back. Will say they lost them. Highly seasoned rip offs. They lie to the banks to get you a so called low payment but in reality you pay thousands more. Bought a mits out sport at 18,000, when we got the contract it was over 25,000. tricks you by saying you get a Platinum Coverage at no charge then in contract they charge you 1500. Tried to leave out the trade in. Says if they charge you more your payment will be less. Tax and prep I understand, but still paid $5,000.00 more than other dealers.
My husband and I recently purchased a new vehicle (ford) from Ricart Automotive and we were blown away by the customer service! Dom was very helpful throughout the entire purchasing process and Zane made sure we were comfortable and informed with our cost and pricing. Our overall experience was definitely 5 star! We drove from Detroit, MI for a specific vehicle and would drive down again in the future because of the service we received! Thank you!
Heather Golden was the salesperson that greeted me on May 17, 2017 when I stopped at Ricart (just to look). Right away, I noticed that Heather was different; she didnt seem anxious to make a sale, which was refreshing. Instead, she was relaxed and had an air of confidence that encouraged me to look with a purpose of making a purchase. Heather is knowledgeable about the cars, is a good listener, and makes you feel as though she is not just out to make a sale. There were a couple of things that I wanted to have done to my old car before turning it in, which I was unable to do, since I decided to make a purchase the very same day. Fear Not! Heather took care of that; she coordinated it all with the service department. It gave me peace of mind since it was one less thing I had to deal with. There were four options that I had with ending my lease. I chose to give the keys back to Hyundai and walk away from the lease. The process was much easier than I had anticipated it to be.After all of the negotiations, I drove away happy!!!
I have always heard really negative things about Ricart but I saw a truck that seemed like a pretty good price so I checked it out. My salesperson Abby was very professional and did a good job showing me the vehicle.Unfortunately I hit a brick wall when dealing with finance and the sales manager, apparently there is no negotiating on used vehicles any longer. Even asking for things that are normal at other large car lots are out of the question. Things like a detail on the car or a tank full of gas or an extra key fob are enough for a manager to tell you a line must be drawn in the sand somewhere. I questioned the sales manager about saying this and told him it seemed silly to lose a sale over it. The sales managers response was Im just the messenger, Im just telling you what the finance guy said.I will listen to my friends from now on and stay away from the shysters at Ricart. I will continue to pass the word to anyone looking for a car, new or used. Go Anywhere but Ricart...Update: I did receive a call from the used car sales manager. They did work with me and I did buy the vehicle. I am willing to give them credit for that and give an additional two stars. However it shouldnt have needed to reach the point of a bad review.
I went to ricart used cars because I needed to get another vehicle, I previously had a 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe, in my opinion that was the best vehicle I ever owned, I finally paid it off and after just barely a month after paying it off I was in a really horrible accident, unfortunately my car was totaled, so I went out to ricart to look around, I already knew what I wanted, just as soon as my feet hit the ground I had sales people coming at me, long story short I had to make a few trips back just to pick up my owner manual, I also left messages for the person that sold me the vehicle never heard back from him, finally when I did speak with him he was short with me, why, he promised that he would provide me with a cargo net and first aid kit for my vehicle. I just thought it was very unprofessional to say he would get me those items and not come threw with it, this is my second time leaving a review about my experience. Someone did respond but never followed through, dont you just love it that the sales people will cater to you when you start looking but then you have to go through this to get a issue resolved, I doubt I will hear from anyone about this, I just dont think they should promise items they have no intention on delivering.
I leased a brand new Mazda 2018 back in October 2018. I was surprised when they worked me out a deal so quickly especially when I wasnt expecting it. Depending whose in the line of duty of helping you makes your purchase much more easier. I will say they are not aggressive unlike other companies because everyone gets paid by the hour which is great. When I got my car it was unexpected they were working deals negotiating on my behalf. Thankful!
Went there 1 week ago today with my niece to see about getting her a car. Made a appt told them what she was interested in and howMuch she could pay and had a down payment of $500. Long story short they didn’t even try to help us kept on making excuses why they couldn’t do anything then was handed of to someone else. She gave them everything they asked for and called the next day and nothing. She called again thru this past week and talked to someone new (of course) she said send everything to me and I will get it taken care of...... nothing back. They then called her 3 days later I guess to check and see if she was still interested and she told them everything that has happened and they said oh we will call you right back with the details and here we sit 1 week later and they aren’t even trying. This was my 1st experience I have bought many cars and this will definitely be my last I ever go there and won’t recommend them either. Thanks for not helping someone that is trying to get a better car for herself and children.
Settled on a car that was not on there lot. Gentleman said they seen one in system and should have no problem getting one. Went back next day with trade spent several hours negotiating a deal to be told they haven’t heard back from the dealership they were looking to trade with. I finally called back late that day to be told they cannot get the vehicle. Went back the next day at the urge of a sales manager to look at alternative vehicles. Went back and was told we already verified that we can get you what you want , after sales person speaks to sales director I am told that they made a mistake and the vehicle was not what I wanted. Received a third call from sales manager wanting to thank me for coming in and him telling me the person that locates vehicles was off that day and they have all my information and they would get back to me. That was last Saturday and haven’t heard from anyone. When speaking with them it appears to me the internal communication was poor at best. While I believe the idea of follow up is important it’s obvious to me it only counts when you convey a positive experience.
Buy DO NOT serviceRicart used to be me & my family’s go to when it came to purchasing our vehicles & getting them serviced. Both of my parents & I purchased all three of our vehicles from here with extreme satisfaction. I always recommend them when I know someone is looking for a vehicle, however over the past few years the ford service department has left us very disappointed. We continued to give chance after chance throughout the years only because the sales department was so friendly & treated us extremely well but after today I believe I am done.I received an email stating “ We would like to offer you a FREE Oil Change and Vehicle Inspection in exchange for bringing in your vehicle. You can either sell us your car, upgrade your car or get your car inspected with a FREE Oil Change just by setting up an appointment with our team! We hope to hear from you soon.” so that’s what I did. I called, let the representative know what email I received & scheduled the appointment. This morning I arrive & the person was confused asking me what I needed done so I mentioned that I made the appointment for the email shown above. He said, “ I don’t believe the sales department is even in this early, and it’s only if have your vehicle appraised first and speak about upgrading”. I responded with “ I don’t want to trade in at this time but I am open to speaking to someone about the options & stuff so I am ready in the near future.” That’s what I assumed anyway would be happening obviously Ricart isn’t giving away free oil changes for no reason I expected to be speaking to a salesperson while the vehicle was being worked on. However because the representative didn’t listen to what I said while on the phone with them to schedule this it couldn’t be done. The guy who was checking me in told me there was nothing he could do for me unless I wanted to pay for it which I was not going to do since it’s over $50 for an oil change and I can get them somewhere else for way less. I left after that with nothing done except waisted time. This is my final straw with Ricart. It is the 3rd or 4th time the service department has upset my family and I. I’d go into detail about the other times but it would just make this book longer.. short version is, my moms ABS system mysteriously broke while in their possession and they refused to address or fix the issue, I’ve had hard times getting loaner vehicles on several occasions in the past, had times where they wouldn’t give me updates until very late in the day, and prices are very high. The service department can either be extremely pleasant or very disappointing. There isn’t consistency.Unfortunately I will not be buying my next vehicle here like I planned too.
My salesperson took too long to make copies of my drivers license and insurance. I wonder if he was planning to pull my credit without my knowledge/consent (highly illegal, in case youre reading this, Ricart!) I test drove a brand new Mazda with the rubber sealing on the door falling apart and a light on in the dashboard explaining the car was in need of mechanical repair. Ridiculous. This car is a 2017 and had less than 50 miles on it. To top it off, we were pulling into the dealership after the test drive when one of the owners pulled in right against our bumper and reved his engine as loud as he could to show off. I didnt appreciate that. Guess the old saying is true... money does not buy you class, Mr. Ricart.Needless to say, my husband and I walked away without even obtaining out-the-door pricing. This is THE WORST dealership I have ever been to. The buy-here-pay-here place on a corner in the Hilltop offers nicer cars than what we were seeing and with better service. Well be giving our business to Buckeye Nissan-- class all the way, nice new cars, and top notch service!
Not sure what anyone else took away from there experience but ours was top notch. Pulled up rep met us at the door and was all about us after that. Kevin Mills was our rep. He asked and answered any we had as well as knew how to get us what we wanted and needed. Once we decided on a vehicle test drive and details on financing the whole team made it one of the best car buying experience we have had. Highly recommend and will return. Great job Kevin M. And the whole Ricart team.
I have purchased my last three cars from Ricart, and take them there for service too. This visit was for routine service. I cant say enough positive things about their service department. They are fast and thorough, and Ive never had any issues with their repairs or maintenance. The waiting area is comfortable, and the service advisors do a great job of keeping their customers updated. I wont take my vehicles anywhere else!
Received an offer via email about getting a free oil change and inspection by setting up appointment with the used car department. I emailed that would like to take up on the offer. Sales rep named Noah Stein reaches out asking when would be a good time. I responded that whatever time when oil change could be done and never responded back after multiple emails. I then called the number provided and person who answered had no idea about the offer and ended up transferring me to service. I spoke with Amber Mann on who advised that she would look into it and just send email to her. I sent the email and she never responded too. Waste of time and not worth my business. The sad thing is only time Ricart reps respond is when you give a negative review!*Update- I had my oil 1/25/20 and requested my life long mileage verification. Amber requested additional info(1/28/20)to process and I sent it over. I sent a follow up email(2/4/20) to see if she received with no response. I sent another email on 2/9/20 and received a reply that she did send it and thought she responded. I checked with Hyundai and they never received verification. Another example of terrible communication with multiple representatives of Ricart!*
Bait and switch outfit! I drove to Ricart because I was interested in a car I saw online that was a VERY good deal. I didnt call first so I knew I was taking a chance that it would be sold but when I got there I was told it sold in February - it is now 5/14!!! The saleman who was waiting on me got a supervisor immediately when she saw which car I was interested in.I asked the supervisor why the price online had dropped twice in April since the car had already been sold and was told they have an automatic system for reductions - BUT apparently they dont have an automatic system do remove inventory when it is sold. I was also told they had mentioned this oversight to management several times and it has not been corrected. Shady Outfit!! I will NOT buy from them.
I was just in Ricart today and purchased a 2017 Ford Explorer XLT from Shawn. Shawn was my sales person and he was very knowledgeable and very friendly the entire time. Gave me great advice on down payments and showed me the different options with the amount of down payments I was willing to do. He was friendly and personable during the test drive also, we joked around and it was a great experience. I would highly recommend buying a car from Ricart!! The finance department was also wonderful and the cashier lady was pleasant and friendly as well!! I couldn’t be happier with my experience at Ricart!! Just to add: it does take time to buy a car, don’t expect to go in and be done in an hour. That’s not reasonable anywhere to be honest. But that said, they brought snacks, drinks, and coloring books for my kids! Had coffee and even fresh popcorn!!! 👍🏻
I was greeted upon entering the Ricart Ford dealership and was asked a few basic questions before starting. They did smaller but noticeably nice things that add up to a great experience. For example, asking if I need a drink or snack every so often and taking plenty of time to think about things, I never felt rushed. Everyone at Ford was polite and professional and offered me to call them personally if I had any questions. In the end, I walked out with a deal happily.
I test drove the Elantra Sport with Johnny Goodman a couple weeks ago and told him upfront I wasnt buying that day. He still took his time to talk to me and answer questions. I have to say Im extremely impressed with his knowledge and attentiveness. Im a car girl and could tell he knew his product. When we were at the table and the payment was not where I needed it to be, he remembered what I said a week ago about not needing GPS. He located a car they didnt have in the inventory, minus the GPS and at the price I needed. Thank you to Johnny and also to Nate for getting me into the car I actually wanted, without having to settle for the lesser trim.
I went to Ricart back in September when my car was totaled. I had a wonderful experience with Thomas Thorton, a very kind and thorough salesman. Unfortunately, 35 days later the engine blew out in the car I had purchased. While this is unfortunate, Jason Ricart called me himself and allowed me to use the credit for my purchase towards a new vehicle. I met with Thomas again and I’m now in a cute Honda civic. While my experience with Thomas and Jason were both excellent, a miscommunication from the accounting team lead to me being missed quoted on a car. I ended up not being able to afford the car I had spent five hours looking at and test driving and had to make a change because of this miscommunication. Then, when I went to meet with Michelle in accounting to sign the paperwork, she was aggressive and pushy. She tried to force me to buy Ricart’s insurance saying “we won’t cover this if it happens again. You need the insurance if this car breaks down to to cover the repairs.“ Rather than reassuring me I was in a good car and making a good decision, she made me feel stupid and I actually cried in her office. Overall, I would say I had an excellent experience with Thomas in the sales department, but the accounting department at Ricart left a very bad taste in my mouth.
Should have known going to a dealership just me and my mother would be recipe for disaster. The used car factory got me and my mother on board with a new car the day we went in there, the manager of the used car factory (Thomas Rodney) even came in on his day off to help us, with the promise that my trade-in was worth $1000. About 4 days after my new car is in my happy hands I get a phone call from Thomas telling us that we must pay $900 because the trade-in only worth $100 now and must come resign all the paperwork or give the car back. What a joke. Definitely wouldnt recommend to anyone. Some advice to management would definitely be to get some understanding of your business and what your employees are doing better, dont make promises on a car you didnt even take the time to research?
I purchased a brand new vehicle from Ricart recently and it has been the worst experience of my life. I was lied to, it was not made right and now because of Ricarts mistake, my credit is being severely impacted by this. When I went to get a new car, my credit score was a 708, it is now a 597 because Ricart has done nothing but disappoint, I advised all of my friends and family to stay away from the dealership. Ricart is a joke and you are better off going to a different dealership, even after buying a 2020 car, they still acted like i was in the wrong for being lied to and then told me that i could not return the car when there is a 30 day policy to return the car to the lot. I had to miss days of classes in order to take care of issues with my vehicle and they did not resolve anything for 3 months, when i brought up the issue to them after one month because that is when i noticed it. They are a joke and will screw around to avoid from helping you. My next vehicle will not come from them, nor will any of my families or friends.
I had already secured a good deal with another dealership. Jeremy and Vannii reached out to me after an internet inquiry and beat the deal I had secured elsewhere. I knew what I wanted and what I was willing to pay for it and Jeremy and Vanni gave me an offer I couldnt refuse, meeting me fairly in the middle throughout the process. This is exactly the kind of experience I was looking for - quick, no hassle, get down to business and get the deal done. I left Ricart in less than a few hours with my new Nissan Rogue and LOVE IT!
We bought a van from here from Drew. He was very helpful & so nice. We had a small issue with the van recently & even though it wasnt in our warranty, Drew made sure to take care of us. I was so impressed. Also, Eric in the service department was wonderful too. They both really went the extra mile even though they didnt have to. Will deff buy our next car from them & recommend them to anyone looking to buy!
I dont normally write reviews for good or bad.... I will start by saying 1 star is to many!! First time we went in to Ricart will definitely be our last. My mom and I bought 4 cars each from Bobb Suzuki and regret ever walking in to Ricart!! We advised them of a preapproval of $16,000.00 from her Credit Union they talked her in to trying financing through one of their banks, she did. Left with the car - a week later my 68 yr old mother got a voicemail saying if she didnt provide documents she wasnt asked for they were taking the car back from her. So she called the gentleman back left a message, again she is 68 so I called and left 2 messages. We were told he was going to be off on that Monday, this was on a Saturday. I called again to try to retain the document information from someone. I needed talk to Spencer (Or Stephen) Burden I believe (hes the one that left the message & who we signed the contract with). Im not sure why he thinks its ok to leave a threatening message like that then not return a call that would take very little time (we needed to know what documents my mom needed). So on Monday I got a hold of Brad Sommerkamp not real helpful said he needed talk to the other guy however did give me some documents that he could be referring to. I then ask him instead of jumping through hoops with this other company cant my mom just go through her Credit Union since we had a preapproval? He says I dont know??? What do you mean you dont know?? The whole point is for Ricart to get paid for the car from whoever finances, right? Then the bank gets to deal with collecting the money after Ricart already collected it from the bank? So we get that all worked out!!! The car is financed through my moms Credit Union with a lot better stipulations like we wanted in the 1st place!! Now we are a couple days from the tag expiring my mom takes the ONLY memo title she received mailed on 2/6/2020 to the BMV to get tags, this is after I call because the Lien Holder is still the 1st one not her Credit Union. I am told by Samantha in the title dept oh that dont matter we just havent updated & sent her a new title yet. But you can go out of your way to pick up the new title if you want??? Um no not if it wont matter at the BMV? She lives roughly 35 mins from Ricart and does not drive often & never drives the freeway. Mind you we were in Ricart in January!!!!! So my mom tries to go get tags today and the title # is wrong, the Lien Holder is wrong, the WHOLE SITUATION has been WRONG!!!!! We have no idea how to resolve the title issue & neither does Ricart obviously!! Im seriously considering filing a complaint with the Ohio Attorney Generals Office!!! Not to mention the argument I got in with my salesman Jeff Kuhlman when trying to negotiate the price of the vehicle...…. He literally started telling me about all their awesome inspections & I wont find a better deal somewhere else w/those types of inspections!!!!! Then we turn around & notice a crack in the windshield (Ricart did make good on that)… However the low tire pressure light was on when we left we were told they put air in the tire & it would go off after driven. That wasnt correct to this day we are still having a tire issue!!!!! I got to be honest I dont know if I would ever step foot on Ricarts lot again even if they offered me a free car, Id be afraid theyd mess that up somehow!!!! I really dont know how theyve been in business so long!! ****Signed Severely Disappointed One Time Customer****
I have lived in Columbus for the last 20 years of my life and have never shopped at Ricart. Well, last weekend I went looking for a reliable used car at a competitor dealership near by. I knew what I wanted. And what I wanted to spend. I read reviews prior as well and was pleasantly surprised that Ricart had such great reviews.Well, we had a disastrous visit at the competitor. Just all and all slimey feeling. Was hard to get prices. Felt bullied into buying more car than I was comfortable with. So we left.A quick google search showed a similar vehicle for sale at Ricart for 10k less than the competitor wanted!!!! We walked right in and asked about it. our sales person was Joseph Kuznar and he was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. We never felt pressured. And although he did suggest some other cars in the same price range, and we did test drive a few, we ended up with the exact car we came to get.All and all we spent about 3.5 hours here from start to finish. It was rather painless to be honest. I will definitely return here next time I have a need to. I got the car I wanted for the price I wanted and was treated well the entire time by everyone we encountered at the Used Car Factory.
This was our second new vehicle from Ricart. Searched around at other dealerships and the prices were pretty similar. The one thing that brought us back to Ricart was the the warrantee. The employees, Melissa and Jonathan, were excellent with customer relations, as well. They were helpful in finding our vehicle and working with us to achieve the cost we could afford.
Not feeling great about the service Ive been getting. I take my car in regularly, and always tell them it doesnt feel like its running well, but that never seems to be addressed. Last time I somehow signed up for the express service which I did not mean to, and I sat for two hours for an oil change and tire rotation. Im considering looking for another certified Kia maintenance place. Id like to be faithful to Ricart, but I think that maybe they are too big.
Our experience at Ricart has been awful. My husband and I purchased a 2012 Ford Focus from Ricart last fall. I have asthma. The car we were looking at smelled a little like smoke. I directly asked the salesperson if the previous owner was a smoker. He said no, that the car had been shut up for awhile and was just musty. He rolled down the windows during the test drive, and the smell went away temporarily. We purchased the car with a bumper to bumper warranty, the best warranty they offered. After having the car home for a few days, the smoke smell came back and kept getting worse and worse. We complained to the dealership, and they said they get the smell out by detailing it. That worked for a day. Also, after looking more closely, we noticed that there were cigarette burns on the headliner that we were told was just dirt. So, the lies that he told us were very purposeful, and he definitely knew that the former owner was a smoker. That was just the beginning of our problems there. We were told that the car would be washed and waxed. They left little white dots (soap or wax residue) all over the car, and a year later, we still cant get them off. This summer, less than a year after after we purchased the car, the air conditioning stopped working. It is supposed to be covered under our warranty. An air conditioning belt was shredded, and they tried to tell us it was caused by an accident and needed to contact our insurance company. (There was no accident, and nothing that even resembled one.) They said it was our fault that the belt was shredded! Five hundred dollars later, the air conditioning still doesnt work properly, and the car still reeks of smoke. We are probably going to have to take a loss on the car, because, being asthmatic, I cannot handle driving it. I dont know what their new car lot is like, but I would never recommend their service center or used car lot to anyone. The only way we would ever consider going back there is if they made the situation right, and based on past experience, I doubt that is going to happen.
I have never been treated with such disrespect in my life. My mother and I spent all day driving around from dealership to dealership looking for competitive prices for a new Nissan Rogue. Nick the sales manager messaged me to come in and talk with him so we could work out a deal. Upon arrival he demanded (loudly in front of the entire lobby) that we give him copies of the other offers we’d received. My mother stayed calm and told him we’d simply like to sit down and get his best price before talking about what others had offered us. The berating we received after was inexcusable and unnecessary. We left promptly to do our business elsewhere. Please do not waste your time here, they are rude and impossible to work with.Update: Jeremy the GM has NOT reached out to contact me, even though they claim he has in their response.
Dont waste your time at this place. My family has been buying cars from Ricart for as long as I can remember and service has gone downhill. I was looking to trade in my Kia Optima at Ricart Kia and the sales men were just sketchy as can be. I ended up not trading it. Last week my car was totalled and I was just looking to buy a used car, so I went to the used car center. When I entered, I wasnt greeted. I walked up to a salesman to see if I could be helped and he told me to have a seat until someone was free I waited for about an hour, which is cool. The place was busy. Once I finally got helped, the salesman questioned my car decision, which was a used Audi a3. He said that it was a high performance car and that they didnt want to waste their time showing the car if I wasnt looking to purchase that day. I questioned him about his words and he said these words were from his manager Mr. Ricart . I just ended up buying a new car from Germain Honda. The people there were amazing..
This car dealership stands out. The car salesmen dont act aggressive, at least mine did not. He took his time and answered questions showed different models based on my questions. The financing department again was top notch. Made the process smooth not complecated or drawn out. Really appreciated that. I would return for my next purchase if nothing changes. Im not reviewing the service department. Just the sales and financing. By the way the free car washes is a nice touch. Classy.
I researched the new 2018 Ioniq very carefully and knew to the dollar what I wanted to pay. All through the process they said I could haggle on the price. When it came to it I wanted to pay them a whopping, just over $250 less. What a small amount. It would have put the price exactly on my budget. They would NOT budge. Okay no big deal I got the car. Got home to go over the loads of paperwork to see that the cargo cover and floor mats were not standard as they said but the charged me $275 for these $40 items. I would have just pulled them out of the car to get my price but they mislead me to make more money. Disappointing. The car is fantastic but 1 problem so far. The good is the car is wonderful inside and out. Drives great and I love it. I got 59.7 MPG taking the car home over 120 miles away. Problem: In the city, I am seeing at best in the low 40s when both the gas and battery are working together and gas alone, OMG under 10 MPG but it has been very cold. When it warms up if this doesnt improve dramatically I will be in the closet repair shop to find whats going on.Over all I would say it was not a bad deal and the experience was good enough with only the cover and mat they misled me into. I would still say go for it if you want a new car from Ricart. Just be very alert for them slipping whatever they can get away with into your deal. Watch the sales team and the finance side. They will try to up-sell you way overpriced warranties and such with HARD sales pitch.
Had an oil change at 12:15 , arrived early around 11:50 and saw a line of maybe 15 cars at Express. I drove forward because I assumed it was just dealership cars awaiting service at a later date. A lady came out waving like she was a flag boy and told me those cars were in front of me awaiting for service. I then asked if I would be able to be seen at my scheduled 12:15 time and was told no and that would be a 2 hour or more wait for a simple oil change. Will not be returnin .
We were interested in a used vehicle. The salesman, Lorenzo Gomez, was awesome and very helpful! He answered all questions and NO PRESSURE! Very nice not to feel pressured into something! The old saying about used car salesmen is definitely NOT TRUE here! Our finance guy, James Burns, was awesome as well! Felt like wed known both of them all our lives! Family atmosphere for sure! Will def be back when its time to purchase another vehicle for my husband.
Buying my car was a great experience but anything else from a ricart fell short of anything good. The people who work at the car wash are rude teenagers while the shop lost my car when I was having the oil changed. It took over 2 hours to do,no apology. While everyone who came in after me left before me. Waste of time and money
The salesman argued with me about EVERYTHING---- Where I wanted to finance, the NADA value of the car (he was adding extras it did not have to beef up the value), and even how and when to make my down payment. Mr. Ricart would be sorely disappointed to know his customers were treated this way. Never going to go through THAT again.
This was my first actual time buying a car, every car I received previously were hand me downs or purchased from family members or friends. The service I received was very professional, quick and efficient, and has set the bar high when dealing with any other dealership in the future. I would highly recommend Ricart to my close friends and family.
When we arrived at Ricart we intended on looking at new Mazdas and after wandering the lot for 45 minutes, no one came to help us like we were told. So we hopped in the car and headed to the used car lot to cruise through before leaving. Nate walked all the way out to us and greeted us, willing to help. He was great. Never pushed for something we weren’t interested in, and got the sale from us! He worked with us for a deal and we were comfortable with out purchase.
Went to Ricart after our only vehicle broke down. Our credit was not very good at all and we had nothing saved up. As you can guess, we were not prepared to buy another vehicle. Ricart helped us out tremendously. They were able to put us in a nice truck with low miles. After a week went by, we noticed our rear window defrost wouldnt not work. We brought it back to see if its covered and turns out it is not. It would be $1,100 to replace the whole back window. Despite the warranty not covering it, Ricart took care of it and fixed it anyways due to us just buying it from them. This has been the only company that had gone above and beyond to make sure we are happy customers. Ricart will be the only place we will go to buy vehicles.
Do not expect to call and get an honest answer, spent 11 hours after I called to ask if I was approved. “Everything was good to go come up and let’s get you car “. When you get there knowing they told you on the phone with what you had and what you expected budget wise they could help you no problem. You will arrive to what you won’t be able to do and look for a car free will with no answers to how much you are approved for or even come close to getting any answers to what you want to know instead you will get pushed into what they want you to look at they gave me 3 options to brand new cars and in the end told me I could not bc I was expected more money this way and that way. Went to the used car place the exact same day at ricart they were trying to help and of course the same answers no one could tell me how much I was approved for or even let you go look at cars to sit inside and wait on them to tell you what they want you to look at to get an answer of at closing time we will call you tomorrow first thing, day 2 no phone call, I called twice answers were yes we are working to find you a car. Didn’t ask what I wouldbe interested in, we will call you back but yes we can help but we have a Christmas party today and are closing early. Call back at closing sorry we can’t help you, we called the place back the same next morning with offers of more money down than ask for from the first day and would have been able to give us that deal from the day before. And no call back. Day 3 i get a phone call again and said we have someone willing to work with you to get you in something. We will work on it. All in the same time as day 2 I went down the road to Carmax got a brand new car in less than an hour and was able to look freely knowing what we could get everything was up front and walked out with a car that I picked out with no hassle. At all they at Carmax even offered if we found a different car we like on their website from further away to get it for us. Less paperwork at Carmax and as I will say again we were told what we could get and let us freely look and also have us the option if we didn’t like the car we got to bring it back within 7 days and exchange with no cost out of pocket. However the only good thing the managers that do check ups and call for your experience at their place called every day to assure we were satisfied. It could all have been avoided with a straight up answer as we were expecting to begin with. Not a 3 day hassle. Thank you Carmax for our car we love it and our experience. 🙌🏻
I applied online and once approved, didnt take long at the dealership to drive off with my new vehicle. I knew what i wanted and they had it pulled up and ready to test drive. Upon getting back from the test drive, they gave my vehicle a checkover since the check engine light came on and gave it one last vip treatment before leaving the lot. Salesman was nice and knowledgeable about vehicle and helped me through the process well. Financial went well too, with both persons answering questions honestly
Needed a new (to me) truck after mine was totaled by the insurance company. Knew Ricart had the inventory, researched usedF-150s on-line and went in with my shopping list. Worked with Josuel at the Used Car Factory. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. He was knowledgeable about the various trucks I wanted to see and we took my #1 choice for a ride. Price was right and financing worked out well with Cass in the finance office. He got me a great rate with affordable payments. Ricart has the selection, do your research and go see them. Thanks for getting me back on the road Ricart. Ill be back in the future. Thank You.
Product specialist Kyle Jones was very knowledgeable about the vehicle we purchased and was able to answer all of the questions we had. He was not at all pushy and gave us all the time we needed to consider our purchase. Ricart Ford made it very easy for us to drive away from the dealership in our new vehicle the very same day.
I thought I got a good deal from Ricart Nissan when I bought my new car from them, and I did. But I wasnt sure that the good customer service would follow to the service department. Ive gotten my past cars serviced at the dealership where I bought the car in the past and most gave only okay customer service; which seems odd to me because this is the number one area where the dealership makes or breaks the opportunity for a return customer. Ricart gets that. I have gone back to their service department several times and each time I got really good service. This last time I waited just a little longer than estimated but I think it was due to them going an extra mile to look at something I brought up but was told they would not be able to get to today. But they did; problem solved! Way to go Ricart, and thanks for continuing the great customer service in all of my experiences with a part of the company.
The used Passat we purchased didnt have heat on the passenger side, that we didnt notice during the test drive. They replaced the heater core with an aftermarket one that leaked and weve had to take it back to get fixed again, this time with VW parts. We bought the car 3 weeks ago and have been able to drive it for about 5 days total. Kinda disappointing, at least we are not paying for the repairs, other than having to rent a car for a week...
I am only giving one star because we had the best salesman Ninji and were 100% ready to buy a car from him. Until we got to Tim the closer. He will be sure to tell you about his 25 years experience. I have no idea how hes worked in a customer service industry that long. Arrogant, condescending, rude. My husband and I have never been so insulted. He basically scoffed at my pretty decent credit score. Also, acted annoyed when asked any questions. Will never be back. EVER! Will also NEVER recommend. Which is unfortunate. Tim is absolutely terrible. Please ask for someone else to deal with if you are set on dealing with Ricart
When other dealerships weren’t able to make a new car purchase work Ricart did. We had been all over trying to find a way to get out from under my lease when as a last attempt I decided to stop at Ricart Kia. Jeremy and Heather were able to get us into a vehicle that suited our needs and at a price point that we wanted. Heather took a great amount of time listening to our needs and showed us several different models and explained all the features. Jeremy did everything he possible could to make sure that the price was right and we were getting all the rebates we possibly could. This was our first car purchase from Ricart but definitely will not be our last. Thank you both for everything you did for us. We really appreciate it!
I purchased a used 2007 Ford F-150 XLT Crew Cab from a buddy of mine with the last name of Ricart here. He sold me on a warranty that covered the engine, transmission, and drive train in full. He said it would be dumb to not get it so I signed and paid 2k over the sale price of the truck. It was also supposed to have towing, and rental truck while it’s getting fixed if a problem happened. 6 weeks ago the truck had catastrophic engine failure. I thought no problem glad I bought that warranty right? Nope, I had to pay for towing. I went a week without a rental costing me time and money getting to and from work. It took them a week to diagnose the problem then told me a new engine was 5200 and labor was 4000. They said the warranty I bought only would cover 3000 of that. I had to call the warranty company to tell them about this fiasco. They found an engine and shipped it to Ricart. They said Ricart should cover the labor as I agreed because I was sold on the entire engine being covered in full. Ricart agrees to lower the labor rate from 140 an hour to 90 which admits their guilt. They wouldn’t do the right thing and cover it in full so beware if you think about purchasing a vehicle from these scammers. Myself and anyone I know won’t be that’s for sure!
My husband and I were genuinely surprised at how little stress was involved in the car buying process at Ricart Ford! I truly appreciate their honest approach with no run around! Everyone we encountered was friendly, knowledgeable and engaging. I would (and have) recommend Ricart Ford to anyone looking to buy a new Ford!
The communication, knowledge and overall customer service with the team members in the car wash and service areas are sorely lacking. No one in the car wash area knew where to go for car detailing...at the same dealership! Once I finally got to the right place, they couldnt find my paperwork for my appointment. I requested a shuttle when I scheduled the appointment 1 week in advance. Get there and still wait 1 HOUR for the shuttle. Service was quoted at 2 hours, took just over 3. When they called to let me know the car was ready they couldnt tell me how long before a shuttle would be available. Why not have all of that together before you called? Ill stick to their free car washes from now on, if that. All of this at 8am on a Monday morning.
Would give them 0 stars if that was an option. After trying to deal with them on two separate car purchases this year, I will never go back. First, we deal with them over the phone and the people we talk to and make an appointment with are never there when we show up for our appointments and then the managers try to bs us in a deal thats way worse than other places we shopped at. Not only that, they lie to use and say were lying. Theyll never earn our business again.
Outstanding customer service. I just think they need a new policy on checking you vehicle troubles out. The wanted to charge me approx $100 (or more) to see why my seatbelt wont go back in and $100 each for a couple more concerns I had all in one visit. Thats ludicrous! I took my SUV in for a engine recall and they wanted to charge me a diagnostic fee because my engine check light was on. $60+ for an oil change is expensive to me. But they will definitely get you taken care of and on your way as fast as they can and the work has always been done right.
When my lease was up on my 2015 Genesis, I contacted Hyundai to see about having them finance it for me. To my surprise, they did not do any financing beyond their lease. I researched on my own the ability to finance it through banks and lending institutions. Was highly disappointed due to interest rates and terms available. Soon after, I contacted Aaron Andrews and told him my situation. He listened to me and without any hesitation he said, We will see that you get whatever you want and need! He assigned Vanni Pikus to help me. She went to work! Soon after, I had the loan I needed with better terms than I could get on my own. Paperwork was completed and I was on my 1 hour 30 min drive home. Now I have purchased my 20th car at Ricart since 1994. I will continue to do so because of their service to and for the customer. Unlike any other dealership I know. The truly amazing thing is, unfortunately I did not purchase this car at Ricart but yet they rolled out the red carpet for me once again! Love this Dealership!
This is a review for the whole Ricart Company. Do not buy cars here, they will claim the car is certified and checked by their technicians. But the checks the technicians do is for the basics they dont get down and deep into the car to make sure things are screwed on tightly, things are connected etc. STAY AWAY, you will get a car and within a month the car will have issues. Then they wont care, and offer little to no help at all.
Driving my 3rd car from Ricart (a used Hyundai, a used Ford and now a new Ford). Always a good experience with their friendly staff. My family and I are always treated so well. The facilities are also very modern and clean. Love my current Explorer lease and will be back for my next one too!
Hyundai Service advisor, Amber Mann is the Best, Most Professional, Patient, Courteous, Positive, Knowledgeable, Pleasant, and Best Employee ever (Ricart is lucky to have this employee!). She deserves a raise! She stays positive even when rude customers are upset that their car is having issues. She goes beyond what could ever be expected and stays positive. She has always explained any issues clearly and really knows what she is doing! Please commend her on a job well done for many years! She is the reason I use Ricart for service!! I have purchased my last 5 cars at Ricart, My kids have purchased their cars at Ricart and I recommend Ricart to everyone I know. Special folks like Amber make Ricart a great place! Thanks Amber!
(KIA) I was referred by a friend to come to this dealership to trade in my vehicle. I was not expecting the outcome of me driving out in a brand new 2020 KIA car. Jeff, Lorenzo and Matt (Nick) were super fast and had me swapped in no time. I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone looking to trade in a car! Thank you guys soo soo much!!! I’m so happy with my purchase!!!
Heather Golden was absolutely wonderful to work with! We told her ahead of time the cars we wanted to look at and she had them ready to test drive by the time we got there! She made the buying process so simple and made sure we didn’t have a long wait since we came from out of town. We will be back to shop with her for our next vehicle!
Straight forward guys! Roy was very experienced and quickly pinpoint what type of cars we should look at. he is a master of multitasking- We were impressed! Brian was very easygoing and personable - he listened to our needs and helped us narrow down two cars to test drive. Brian made test driving fun. He also cheered our two tween daughters up during the long waits it took to complete our transaction. Great guy! Keep him on your team for sure- hes a natural. Overall the car buying experience at Ricart was better than Iwed imagined but it did take longer than we had estimated.
Beware if you buy a used car here. I bought a so-called certified used vehicle that had major problems right off the bat. Im talking thousands of dollars worth of work that needed to be done after it had been certified. The six-month warranty that came with it was not worth the paper it was written on went in numerous times for the same problem never did get fixed warranty run out no more to be done by them. It has been almost a year and Im still replacing parts that they said were fine that other dealers have told me were completely worn out telling me that they did not want to warranty the stuff that they sell. I went against my better judgement to go there should have listened to my common sense
Just had a great experience at Ricart Hyundai. We got the e,act car we wanted for the exact price we were willing to pay. They didnt pressure us and we are completely satisfied. Thank you Johnny, Aaron, and all the sales managers / director. We will always do business here.
Overall I was skeptical when reviewing the sale price of my 2018 F150. After running it through my USAA car buying service the purchase price was a Great Deal, very happy about that. Not only to mention they gave the highest trade in value. I will be seeing y’all early next year for my wife’s vehicle purchase.
Do not buy a car from Ricart. Bought car 3 weeks ago. After we signed contract getting ready to leave salesman Jason Motter said by the way there is a scratch on the car. Dont worry we will get you right back in here we will give you a loaner and we will take care of it right away. After speaking to every supervisor that we were connected with still the car has not been repaired. No one knows anything. Different stories from everyone. Many many phone calls later still no results. Now what ? Ricart asked why we never bought a car from them. We remember others telling us Once the sale is final they forget about you. Exactly.Thats why we will never buy another car from Ricart and we will be telling everyone we know and thousands of Facebook friends what we are STILL going through. So when are they going to take care of us and get our car repaired.
I wish you could give Ricart a lower score. Every thing was fine until after the sale. I have emailed all the Ricart executives about my horrible experience with their contractor Auto Additions only to be brushed off. My car was damaged, delivered to the wrong address, property was lost, and the unprofessionalism is unbelievable. But, Ricart doesnt care because they already have my money.
I called on a Thursday about a car and talked with Courtney, who booked me an appointment for 9am on Saturday. I arrived with my husband and 1 and 3 year old children. We ended up being there until 4pm, which was tough on the kids. Courtney was very sweet with them, despite the fact that they were restless. The van I purchased was a few thousand (5?) under Blue Book, which I was impressed with. They worked with us to get the financing and payment plan we needed.Overall, I was very impressed. There was a lot there to entertain my kids and everyone we met was very nice. The only two negatives were: (1) I felt like it took longer than necessary, or maybe they didnt explain the wait most times. At one point, Courtney said she had to return our 3 vans wed driven. She grabbed a bag with fast food in it and then didnt return for at least an hour. I dont know that it was a lunch break or what, but I would have liked to know where she went. It had only taken her less than 5 minutes to drive each vehicle to us, so I wasnt expecting that step to take so long. That being said, she was incredibly nice and worked with us all day; (2) When we were presented the payment plan monthly options, they were over $120 more than our max budget. When we mentioned that to C, she left for a while and came back with paperwork showing shed gotten it down to $60 over our max budget. What annoyed me was she had written Congrats! and a big smiley face on the ppw, like wed be thrilled with that and it was a done deal, even though it was still really far away from what we could afford. We didnt get the payment plan we wanted, but Im happy with what we got. The van is better than I thought I could afford. I would go back to Courtney and Ricart.
I have bought 2 vehicles from Ricart Ford so far. It has been nothing short of great customer service since then. From the salesmen, to the service staff, to the shuttle drivers, everything have been top notch and professional. Even when Ive had a problem, Ricart was quick to resolve the issue and with courtesy. I have nothing but great things to say about Ricart and I make sure to let everyone I know know that as well.
This dealership doesnt honor anything they promise you, they sold me a certified used car that is guaranteed to run great or that I can fallback on a Motor Trend Warranty that covers me for 6 months or 7500. I just got a car from them and got to put in in lucky 600 or so miles on it before the engine blew a rod. I called them for assistance, they refused to do anything for me and refused to refund or exchange my car. The Buyers Guide for them on certified vehicles clearly states the DEALER will cover 100% of all parts and labor for the 7500 miles or 6 months. They are taking back everything that I signed too and being unhelpful with everything this is stressful and theft to a degree. They dont return calls, dont answer when you need them and dont honor anything that people sign to
Ricart will:1) offer misleading information during the sale2) omit information during a sales process3) refuse to correct an error, even discounted repairs resulting from their own error.4) have someone from Ricart post a reply here, to pretend like they offer customer service, but that is fake. They ignore you after thatI would LOVE to resolve my issue, but Ricart refuses anything. To the lovely readers out there, my issue is that Ricart didnt disclose that my car was in an accident and had aftermarket parts voiding my manufacturer warranty. Well when I take it in for repair, and Ricart discloses this, I expect a discount, a good faith repair, split costs, SOMETHING. Instead, I get nothing, then I get told they are looking into it by Regan on here. One month later, STILL nothing, I feel like Ricart lied to me, not that I am shocked. My advice, if you want a good car buying experience, go elsewhere. If you want lied to, and sold a car with a fake warranty, go to a corner lot buy-here-pay-here, youll get the same treatment and customer service as Ricart, but pay less for the car.
I bought 2019 Chevy 1500. After doing first maintenance was informed had different tires on truck. Guess I should have looked but since it was 2019 with only 10-11 thousand miles on it you would think they would be same. Called and spoke with Steve walker who informed me that they don’t care if there are different tires on it with different treads that as long as they meet thread depth and are what they call safe then that’s all they care about. I informed him that that they could wear differently because of different tread. He said they didn’t care as long as tires meet their qualifications and he said then change tires at my cost. I asked how I could get ahold of rick ricart the owner and he informed me I wouldn’t and would have to deal with him or his manager.very unprofessional. All I was asking is for the tires to be same even if it was just replacing one tire. He informed me the previous owner probably did it and they probably did it cause it was cheap and didn’t do it the way i would cause no one has your income. Why my income has anything to do with getting a tire replaced but ok. So I guess when you end up spending 30000+ with it art you can’t even get 4 tires the same. It’s sad that the company couldn’t and doesn’t care what kind of car or truck you buy and how much money you spend Weather’s it’s new or older used that it’s their way or no way
This is the Import .... I’ll went there on March 2021 to try to get my Payment down since I am single mom..I’ll can’t afford to higher payment..first I’ll tough they helping you in the End they rip off your money and they Cheated on you...they don’t tell you or Explained by one by one of the paper before you Sign in...they told me that the only you can get out the higher payment I’ll get this car for you...they give me a Brand new car to trade my payment...they said you monthly payment it’s gonna be $556 plus I’ll make down payment of cash on $3000 dollar..but they don’t tell me or explained to me that..I am gonna canceling your Gap insurance and put it down for your down payment for new vehicles plus for your $3000 dollar...was so shucked...I was hoping I’ll can get my Gap Insurance refund to use for my kids vacation..but now can’t very disappointed...Don’t even explain too you..they rushed you up too sign the paper boom.you can drive this with you home...They don’t help you even the loyal people and honest person..they take advantage of you..they try to get more money can get from you....as a single mom..working pay check to pay check can leave with.....when I’ll call them to find out they tell me there nothing can’t do to help you Sorry...that’s only word they give you...they can’t get your money for your Gap insurance that you been paid for...cuz they added for your down payment for the car pick up too you....Shame of that people take advantage of the poor person..I won’t coming down here *only goods knows why!!
Not sure Ive ever left a comment in my life but this deserved it. Horrible place to go. The person I dealt with sucked, and they absolutely dont budge on price at all. He told me nothing about the car, didnt know any info on the car when I asked and even when the manager was brought out, still not willing to come down even a dollar. I dont know how they sell cars but thanks to them I got an amazing deal somewhere else and love my new car! Their lose. Wouldnt recommend going here if you are a female because they will take advantage of you. Go to Ford Mathews in Newark!
My wife got and new Hyundai from there and I was so impressed with how well John Verdine did everything to help her. I told him when I was ready and I would give him a chance to do the same for me. John is a exceptional person and goes over everything you need to know about the car and dealership. Thanks John for a Great Time!!
I had told the sales person Nate Baker over text that I hated dealerships. He reassured me that they were not like other dealerships! I went in without a specific car in mind. He was patient enough to show me some options which was nice because their lot is huge and the inventory is mind blowing. Finally came across the perfect vehicle, and I told him to please fit it in my budget and sure enough they did it. I know I hate dealerships but they made it fast and I actually felt comfortable dealing with them. Ricart has earned my business and I will come see nate in a few years!
Its a car dealership. They start you off overpriced and make you twist arms to get a decent price. Volume based business simply focused on closing as many deals as possible. Wouldnt recommend. This would be a 2 star review but my actual salesman (the guys that stand on the floor 10 hrs hoping to earn some commission) was genuinely friendly.
Thanks so much to Jason Motter and Mark Williams. You made a stressful time so much easier. We are so glad we chose to go to Ricart for a replacement car after ours was totalled in a hit and run. With my husband in the hospital it was scary to shop for a new used car without my husband. The Chevy Equinox Jason and Mark helped me out with got me a you did good from my husband. The whole process was wonderful and I truly appreciate the thoughtfulness of these gentlemen. AAA+.Thanks so much from my husband for all the help. I will absolutely be recommending Ricart to anyone we know in the market for a new used car.
Dont be fooled by this place! They advertise Express Service without appointments and hours of operations are supposed to be until 7pm on Tuesdays. I arrived at 5:50pm today 4/9/19 for oil change and was asked if I had an appointment, which I didnt have because no appointment needed for Express Service according to their website. I then was told that since it was already 6pm and I didnt have an appointment that they could not change the oil and that I should make an appointment. Never again!
Its overwhelming. Too large. If your GPS is confused? Indicates a problem. Didnt settle on a deal with them, which is fine. Salesmen were courteous and straight foward which was a plus. But having to spend hours on end to get an answer? Not worth it. Prices were great, but local dealership made a deal and made me feel better than a number.
The folks at Ricart did a great job and they were professional. The only issue I had was that it took an inordinately long time to get everything done. I was trading in a vehicle but after we got to the point of agreement on the vehicle I was purchasing it took another 2-3 hours before I was ready to get out of there.
At 62 years old I have bought a large number of cars and trucks both used and new. I bought three trucks now from Ricart, two used and one new. The last one I bought was a used 2011 Ford F-150 Lariat I bought in be 2017 and it has been the best vehicle Ive ever owned. Their service department is also the absolute best bar none. They really do try to make sure that your car is being taken care of and up to Fords standards. Im hoping that this F-150 is going to last me a very long time, but when it does come time to buy another vehicle it will be at Ricart Ford.
My husband and I saw a particular vehicle online and went in on a whim to see about potentially replacing one of our older vehicles. We were told that particular vehicle sold, but they found an almost identical one, not only just for $500 more, but also 2 years newer than the one we were originally interested in! We were lucky to have gotten Shawn as our sales rep - he greeted us right as we pulled in the lot with a huge, genuine smile on his face and was so friendly and polite. I originally chalked this up to just being a ploy that salesman use, but Shawn seemed like not just a salesman, but a knowledgeable and considerate gentleman. He talked and kidded around with my husband and I like we were real people, not like dollar sign money bags like you see in old cartoons. I was blown away. My husband and I had even had a little pep talk between ourselves before we got to the dealership, about how to handle salesman tactics, and turns out we didnt even need them. Shawn seems to genuinely enjoy working for Ricart, and I dare say that Ricart is very lucky indeed to have him as an employee!! The other gentleman we worked with was James Burns, the F.I, Manager in the back offices. He also greeted us with this huge, genuinely happy look on his face when we walked in. Again, I chalked it up at first to him just getting a sale but that is not the case. James took his time going over any questions we had, explained every document we were signing, put our fears at ease, and seemed legitimately happy for us. Also side note: We were there for several hours, and found out later that Ricart Used Sales closes at 8:00pm. We did not leave with our new vehicle til after 9:15. Not one single time did we feel rushed, or that the employees were annoyed with us, or that they were rushing through things so they could leave for the day. Ricart is also lucky to have James Burns as an employee!! I havent been to a dealership or gotten a new car in almost 10 years, and I am also a cancer patient, so everything combined had me apprehensive to this quest for a car. It was easier and much more pleasant that I anticipated!! I will recommend this Ricart location to anyone with ears on their head because it is just that good. Sincerely thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Shawn Cottrill & James Burns!!!!!!
My husband and I were down to one car and needed our second car so he could get to work. I will always go back here with thanks to John Thornton hes AWSOME. He is not pushy, wants you to get whats right for you and works with your budget. If you want someone who is going to put the BS aside and keep it real with you always ask for John. He wasnt there to just sell a car he was there to make us happy with our decision. He knew we needed something quick and he was showing us cars rain and shine until we were 100% sure this is what we wanted. Thanks again John, Mr. and Mrs. Price
To be honest I wasnt actually looking to buy a car. However during a average walk around the lot type of day I stumbled upon a 2016 Hyundai Veloster Turbo matte grey (which is hard to find) and with closer inspection found it had extremely low mileage and was taken great care of. Courtney at the Used Factory was amazing in helping me through the process as Ive never actually bought a car myself before. At the end of the day I walked away with my dream car and couldnt be happier with my experience at Ricart! Thanks!
I was very apprehensive about going to look for a new car. I honestly do not like the entire process and it makes me very anxious. However, Austin Whitaker, Zach Bowens and Dan Atherton made it pleasant and enjoyable. All three were very easy to work with and nice. My husband and I actually enjoyed talking to all three of them as they are very personable and its obvious they care about their customers.
I walked in and was greeted immediately. After speaking with the lady up front she quickly got the sales rep paged and on his way to to get me. She offered me a beverage and a light snack while I waited. I knew then that I was in good hands. The sales rep took care of me, meeting all of my request. I was a little worried when he handed me off to another guy, but understood he had to tie up loose ends with his last client. After a short while he returned to me just as promised. I was in and out in good time. My old FLEX became a new FLEX and I’m so excited. Thanks Austin W.;)
We have bought there 4 yes ago and was satisfied. We where there yesterday to trade r 450 king ranch dually crew cab and the price they gave us for a trade was insulting , and to top it of they where way to high compared to other dealers I would recommend DON WOODS FORD IN ATHENS OHIO THEY KNOW HOW TO TREAT PEOPLECONNIE AND GARY
We went in with a pre-approval letter from capital one. The salesmen asked if we wanted him to check other lenders to maybe find a better rate. We explicitly told him no. So guess what happened? You nailed it, they ran out credit through no fewer than 10 banks. While the car is great and I feel like we got a good deal we will never return to Ricart because of their inability to listen to their customer, and their blatant lack of ethics.
February 1 11:30 am . I called the service group last night to schedule an oil change and ask them at least 30 times how much the price will be at the very most they told me 7995 I was happy I had an appointment for 12 o’clock I came in today at 12 o’clock and they informed me that my oil change would be $150 I have a trip tomorrow so I’m forced to get the oil changed these people are double talkers and liars and they looked at me smug when I told them that I talk to somebody already there excuse was oh this is the call center and we’re not responsible for the call center says well I’m gonna tell you right now about to take your car there and have it serviced because you will have problems I spent A lot of money on a 2019 mustang GT for them to just look at me like that this place is terrible beyond terrible they offered no remedy they just blame it all on the call center while smiling at me acting like I was the dumb one terrible beyond terrible the worst service I have ever had possibly in my life at all cost I would recommend not even buying a car here after this experience The only reason they get one star is because I can’t post without giving one star if you could put negative I will put negative stars like by 1000. This is a continuation on the following Tuesday I thought I would like to also tell everyone how I sat in the waiting room for three hours and watch the young man perform great customer service to all the customers he then left the same blonde haired girl who had been rude to me earlier then gave us our keys and sent us on our way now remember I had watched five other people already get their car wash that they are supposed to get they never offered me a car wash they just told me to go ahead and get on out of the out of the room then when I requested oneShe looked at me as if I was out of line. This same girl whose boyfriend sells new cars because she told the whole waiting room this same formed us that she was really sad that her boyfriend was a non-commissioned anymore because I used to have a lot of money but now the sales people don’t get commission so they don’t know what they’re gonna do I felt this was inappropriate to tell the entire group of people in the waiting room and I did not gone to any sympathy for me I wasn’t gonna say anything about all this but since I got a response that was not acceptable I thought I would go ahead and continue on with my story of the day
My wife had driven a rental Ford Fusion hybrid in a recent trip in North Carolina and fell in love with it. We started looking a few days ago via internet search and found 4 cars, 1 at Enterprise, 1 at Performance Dodge, and 2 at Ricart. Enterprise was $4000 higher and Performance actually did not have the car in inventory that was advertised. John Thornton worked with us and yesterday we came in, drove the vehicle and made the purchase, all in 4 hours including meeting with the finance manager. This was a flawless and almost painless transaction from beginning to end.
Impossible to deal with!!! I visited twice to put in an offer well within the book value of what the car was worth. After dealing with a great Salesman, I was then sent to the Sales Manager who is just another salesman in a black shirt. Each time I dealt with a different one (I wont name names). Both were dismissive of everything I had to say and when I threw a solid number at them I was met with a NOPE each time. No counter offer no negotiation NOTHING. They said the car would sell at wholesale auction for more than what I offered. I laughed and walked out at that point. Clearly they think their customers are idiots. These guys arent dealing.
I could vouch for the previous post as I was also taken advantage of when I purchased my first car. After I filed a complaint, they did what they should’ve done the first time and gave me a car that didn’t have defects on the exterior after the shady salesman lied to my face that they were scuff marks and would come off, took my money and refused to let me switch a different car. I will never buy from this place again and though there’s shady people anywhere you go, this place is the top of my list.
Drove up from Cincinnati to buy a couple days before Christmas. The vehicle was described as in like new condition on the phone so we drove 2 hours to Columbus. It was rainy and dark by the time we got there and the car seemed in great shape being detailed. The service dept was closed to give the vehicle one more once over so we just drove the car home. Drove back to Cincinnati and discovered a totally cracked mirror turn signal that didnt work, a number of scratches through the paint, and VERY deep etching in the clear coat that seemed indicative of some sort of accident. Also some staining on the passenger seat. We were not happy at all with the car condition and very bumpy ride (should have test driven it outside of the prescribed back country road). They have a 36 hour return policy, but being in Cincinnati and Christmas weekend we couldnt make it back in time. They offered to repair the broken turn signal after several phone calls, but wouldnt let us return the car even before the financing went through. We even offered to buy a more expensive vehicle if theyd let us return this one. So here we are almost 5 months later, with a car we have driven a total of maybe 2 weeks... We would still buy another vehicle from Ricart if they would let us exchange this one for the balance owed + deposit.
On Friday my mother and I gave them permission to to run our credit to get a car from there. Today we did not and they guy runs our credit 4 times we were not on the lot. I was on the phone with a Ricart sales guy and I asked him what I should bring documents. After I hang up the phone he made 3 inquiries or more on my credit and mothers without permission which is illegal. I will be getting ahold of my lawyer for an illegal case. Never felt so violated in my life or my mothers.
Like every dealership, on you as soon as you exit the car. May it be service or sales they are there trying to sell a car or get you out of your old one. The service is ok. There done fast but are always under the assumption you want what they feel you need at the time. I bought my 2012 fusion from them brand new and love the car. But I dont know if Ill be back for another used or new car purchase again. All in all there not much different than any other dealer. There to make money and thats it.(expected). One thing I can say is dont go there unless you have narrowed your search down to the most specific option your looking for or this place can be overwhelming and the salesman at that point has the advantage. This place is rather large as too, most dealers have maybe 10 to 15 of one model in a brand and this dealer carries about 45 to 60 of each model in the brand. That prodominatly is for, one of the largest. Never seen less than 5 Shelby mustang on the showroom ever.l, also a large array of supped up trucks. But still just your common dealer.
I came to Ricart Hyundai from over 2 hours away because your advertised price for a 2018 Hyundai Sonata was so attractive. I didnt realize until I was warmly greeted by Heather Golden that I would be in for a day of great customer service too.I ended up viewing all the Sonata models and walking away with a higher version than originally planned but for $500 less than the standard model in my hometown. All in all, I was thoroughly pleased with the amount of time and care your staff took in assisting me. Heather Golden is a true asset to your establishment, and if I buy another car in the future it will be from her and from Ricart. Thanks for everything,
This place has the best customer service Ive ever gotten from any car dealerships. I got my first brand new car here. I have the 2018 Ford Fusion, I leased it, which I love, because I get to drive a brand new car every few or couple of years. First, I thought I wasnt going to get approved, because I dont really have a lot of credit history despite the fact I have a good credit score. I wanted to build a start for my future with my credit. Ricart tried everything to help me walk out with a car, and they did.I would like to mention to thank Jonathan Lemus, and his sales manager Melissa Figgins for helping me out with the best service Ive ever had at the Ford dealership. They really tried everything to help me to walk out with a really good car.If any of you guys are looking for a car, this is the place to go to no doubt. I will be coming here everytime to get a car, and I would like to recommend to anyone that needs a car.:D
We approached Ricart Hyuandi only knowing a little bit about what we wanted in a car. Jim Liebhart greeted us at the door and was immediately very informative and friendly. He welcomed us in and treated us like we were right at home. He took the time to pay attention to what we were interested in and made suggestions of different cars based on those interests which ultimately lead us to finding a car that we are very very happy with! Even after finding our perfect car, he still took the time to give us advice and keep us updated on the financial aspect of things while we waited! Everyone was extremely friendly and we’ll definitely be buying our next car here!
Good prices and buying process but be knowledgeable when going into talk finances. Do not pay 1500 for gap insurance. All the add ons they try to talk you into will take away from the price you got on the car. This is true at any dealer. Also know what interest rates are and what your credit is.
My husband and I purchase a 2018 F450 with all the extra warranty’s. The black molding next to the dash on the inside of the windshield was coming loose. I made an appointment to drop the truck off on January 25 in order to get it fixed. We were headed on vacation and they would have the truck a little over a week in order to fix it.My husband is a truck driver and I picked him up in the truck a two days prior to having the the truck dropped off. I was sitting in the passenger seat and he was walking infront if the truck going to get in the driver seat when I heard a pop the windshield cracked. Nothing hit the windshield but it broke. I remembered the sales guy telling us we had glass coverage. My husband called his sales guy told him what happened and the sales guy said yes you do have. Glass coverage and we will fix it when you bring the truck in on January 25th. Great news.We dropped the truck off on January 25th, explained that we were going on a cruise and that we had international calling if they needed us. We also have them the name of the sales guys that told us the windshield is covered etc and that it was a part of the warranty. The service department wrote all the notes down on a piece of a paper and not in the computer or on the work order. When my husband and I got back to the states he called to check on his truck. Ricart hasn’t touched the truck! The service department said the windshield wasn’t covered after we spoke to the sales department who said it was. Not to mention we had it in writing for the sales team. Ricart said they tried to call us but they didn’t leave a message. My phone never rang with ricarts number. I got calls from other people on my trip just not ricart. After serveral conversations with ricart while we were waiting to catch our flight back to Ohio. Ricart still didn’t fix the truck and I needed to have so I can picky dogs up from the kennel. Since ricart dropped the ball they will never get my business ever again!
Walked in to the dealership and worked with Rick Johnson! He gave me exactly what I asked for. Had the perfect vehicle for more in less then 20 minutes. Very pleasant to work with! I will definitely be going back to this dealership and working with Rick Johnson for years to come!
I would give this place negative stars if I could! My fiancé just purchased a used car with only 50,000 miles on it and drove it for five days! Yes only five days and the engine was blown! We called the dealership over 50 times they would keep hanging up on us could not talk to anyone! When he purchased the car he was guaranteed a 6 month warranty and this car did not even last five days and after hours of trying to get ahold of someone from the dealership they told him to take it to a shop and they will pay for the repairs so we did only to learn the engine is complete garbage and shot and they told us take the car back to the dealer that car is shot!!! They are so unprofessional and such liars they said well you bought the car as is! And said well we have been in buisness for years so good luck!!! So they said you need to have the shop who is looking at your car prove it was overlooked on our behalf and tried to turn it on him. They said they have never had a issue like this before but given the reviews they are liars and definetly have! I would never purchase a car from this place such a scam! No courtesy they are super un professional and nice when they sell you a car but afterwards treat you like nothing! My fiancé is out of a vehicle and they have made no effort or had any understanding of our frustrations. If you buy a used car from here think twice because they lie and will turn the problem onto you! Garbage do not I repeat do NOT go here your car will blow up in five days will keep updated the status of the situation because if they dont fix the issue their will be consequences you cant rob people like this and get away with it
I love my new car, and the support I got from my sales rep, Drew M., was superb. He listened to what *I* wanted in a car, didnt try to steer me into buying more car than I needed, and helped me understand the new tech features. Buying a car can be overwhelming for someone who isnt into cars. They helped break it down into bite-sized pieces.
I would give them a 0 if I was able a COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME . You tell them the car your interested in (a SPECIFIC CAR) they let you think they’ll work with you once you get there they run your credit multiple times then come back and say oh you’ll need a co-signer with a 650 credit score in the beginning I told him up front my score is low I’m a first time buyer and I don’t want to put a hard inquiry on my account well now there’s 5 from 1 damn dealership not to mention I only went there for a test drive to begin with I still don’t even know if the car was actually there because he keep bringing up other cars for me to look at. Then he comes back and says sorry we won’t be able to help you , after you wasted my damn time ran my credit 5 times which still makes no sense to me . Ppl don’t go here unless you have 4000 to put down or a credit score of 650 !! The reviews are true about the bait and switch if BEN OR MATT CALLS YOU DONT RESPOND !
First i want to say I am so iffy when it comes to buying a car all by myself. Always feeling ill be taking advantage of or ill buy a lemon and be SOL. And when i bought a car from Ricart, it ended up back in the shop! BUT... I was treated good, I was given a rental. Chase from the service department went out of his way to fix or repair things he didnt have to. Which to me goes a long way. Also Anna from Enterprise was great as well, she went out of her way to fix some issues i had too! All in all for the first time in a long time i am 100% pleased. I recommend everyone buy from Ricart!
I have purchased three cars at Ricart Automotive and was always satisfied with the service and how I was treated. In late August of this year I purchased a used car for me and my fiancé. I was treated well and was offered at the time a great extended warranty which I was told started covering anything from the minute I walked out the door and covered the car bumper to bumper. The next day after purchasing the car my fiancé and me knew something was wrong with the car, we just had a feeling. In two week the reverse heat of the transmission would not work. I immediately contacted a dealership in Columbus that serviced imports to have the car looked at and be repaired. I was told the gear package was in need of repair and my extended warranty would not cover the repair because the service was needed within a 90 grace period. I had no idea that there was a grace period and immediately contacted Ricart. I some with Cass Powers since he sold me this awesome warranty. He apologized numerous times for making the mistake of telling me wrong information about the warranty and what it covered. He indicated he was going to make everything right for me. After numerous messages left for him and no return calls I knew that the situation was going nowhere. I contacted Ricart Automotive and asked to speak with Cass Powers immediate supervisor, I was directed to Brad Summercamp. I left 2 messages and again no return call from him. I decide def to email the product specialist who helped me on the day I went to Ticary in search of a car. He took my frustration and definite unhappiness about how I was being treated and ignored to the general manager and again Cass Powers. In the meantime I had my car repaired and the cost was over $2600 dollars that I had to pay for. I received an email saying I would be hearing from Cass or the general manager very soon as they wanted me to be a happy customer. Still no contact with them. I contacted the gentleman who had helped last evening and made him aware nobody had been in contact with me and he said he would be sure someone contacted me. Still no contact. I just got the car back from the dealership who repaired the transmission last week for yet another repair. An intake line that supplies the engine with oil was damaged causing oil pressure to be low. Another $800 repair my extended warranty did not cover. Beware of Ricart especially if you are purchasing a used car. I was lied to and have been disrespected and treated as if I were stupid. I have been discriminated against because I am female. Ricart does not care about their customers. If they did they would be in touch with me. Do not buy a care from this dealership. They want to take your money, make you feel like you are getting peace of mind with a great extended warranty when you actually are getting a broken car with a worthless warranty that gets you nothing but $4000+ in repair bills. Beware!!
The worst dealership I have ever went to sold me a mirage for about 7000 over what it was valued for. Went to trade in for a bigger car since my wife is pregnant and they told me oh well we can give you 7 for your trade. Your still 10000 over on your loan. The absolute worst dealer in ohio. Talked to 5 dealers who I deliver parts to and they told me they have ripped others off the same way. Now Im paying 21000 for a car worth 13.
Heather Golden made my dreams come true. She is such an amazing woman. Very knowledgeable about my car and very attentive. Thank you so much. I visited on a Saturday and wasnt expecting to purchase until June but Heather still gave me info on the Sonata by asking what I wanted in my car (features). I told her and she took me right to it. If I didnt know any better I would think she drives one herself. She broke down every detail and was very patient with me. I drove away in my new 2018 Sonata that evening. I still walk to my window and look out to see my beautiful car (I shake my head Everytime, yeah its really mine). Thanks so much Heather and the Ricart family!!!!!!!!!!
Bought a 2012 F150 from Ricart a little over a year ago. Bought it at a fair price for the quality of vehicle it was, bought their service warranty Bumper to Bumper Easy Care, and bought into the Ricart experience. The first month I had to go back several times to get the tire pressure sensors fixed. Not covered under the Easy Care. Not sure what happened, but it took five trips and me making a stink to get the problem solved. Couple months later I have a clunking sound coming from the undercarriage. Use the Easy Care towing services and am told that as long as the problem was covered under the warranty the tow was covered. Odd thing to say when you bought a bumper to bumper. After not hearing from the service department and having to call any number I could find, the rig was fixed but not without some out of pocket expense. Take the pickup home and that day the clunking continues. I pay to have it looked at again, turns out its a part in the 4wd, not covered under the bumper to bumper Easy Care Warranty. Turns out there is a list of parts that only Easy Care knows whats on and Ricart Service could care less to get to know whats on it. But in all of it, I let it go since I dont have $500 to drop into this pickup each time I go in. Doesnt affect the 4wd performance, just really annoying going down the highway. Fast forward to this last week. Started noticing a drip and spot when after I drive and park for work. Took it in cause I can see a spraying of coolant when I turn it on. They perform basic maintenance and then call me to tell me its in excess of $400 for them to diagnose and fix my issue, as its in a tough location. Turns out, thats not on the Easy Care either. I do some legal research and come to find out they sold me this bumper to bumper warranty under illegal/predatory practices. I called the first time to speak with a manager in customer service and I get passed around. Finally leave a message, no call back. I call again after talking to the service manager about how this is putting a terrible name on the guys who are just doing their job. Some lady in HR calls me and says that shes going to look into it. Sends me a cancellation form for the warranty, never calls to follow up. I did some research and discovered that this problem that was portrayed as uncommon and that it was going to take a while to diagnose was actually very common in all models with the V8 5.0L in it. A plastic y that get wore out over the miles. I watch a 2 minute youtube video and I know exactly how to fix it. I buy the last remaining DR3Z-8566-A off of Ricarts shelf for $64 and an O Ring for the feed side for $5. Go home and replace the thing in 25 minutes total work time and only cursed once.Very disappointed in Ricart and their team as a whole. The only positive experience I have had was at the parts desk when I was joking with the sales guys about how ridiculous the service department is. I will never buy another vehicle from Ricart again as long as I reside anywhere that name is tied to it. Buyer beware, you will get swindled by predatory behavior. Think twice before you get swoon over their inventory, there are plenty more dealerships out there that will take care of you because you matter more to them than a sale and some diagnostics cash.
All has been resolved finally. I will give another star.I purchased a used vehicle back in August 2017 (see my previous review for the bad experiences) and it came with a MotorTrend Easy Care warranty. Great! Unfortunately my vehicle needs repair. So, I contacted Easycare and they told me that the repair I need is covered but my warranty is expired. What! Theres no way I drove 7500 miles in 4 months! It turns out the mileage reported to Easycare was incorrect. So, I have been calling Ricart for days and leaving several messages with finance and have had NO response. I need this fixed NOW so I can repair my vehicle. I will NEVER recommend Ricart to anyone. Ive had the WORST customer experience here. Im posting this in hopes someone from Ricart will read this and contact me to resolve this mistake that was Ricarts fault in the first place!Update: was finally contacted today. Problem still not resolved. Waiting to hear back again. In the mean time, my car needs repaired and this is a big inconvenience.
Absolutely horrible experience! The manager was incredibly belittling when discussing finance options and I shouldve taken that as a sign for how they treat their customers. I bought a car November 5th and still have not received the title information I need to get my plates, even though they are required by law to provide this within 30 days. Ive called several times and keep getting transferred around and straight up lied to. My temp plates expire tomorrow so I have called every day this week to figure out where my title is. Every day theyve said that they overnighted them that day. I now have to pay even more money and take time off work to go to file a complaint with the state to be able to get this resolved before my temps expire and I cant drive my car.
Great service! The email asked me to rate the service...it deserves 5 stars! This though seems that im rating the overall company...so i gave it 4 and have explained why below. The service department is very knowledgeable, open to questions, trustworthy, professional, efficient, thoughtful and a good value. The buy back gal (one individual) in used car sales i should warn you about was too agressive, disingenuous, and unprofessional! If she approaches you when youre having service done and you dont have an entire day off then reschedule as she wont give you a fair time estimate of how long itll take and dont second guess your instincts with her....no matter the deal. Go to a supe and explain you like the deal but not her tactics.
I took my car in for a recall.I asked for a price on a door handle.they said 250 dollars.that is way too much.then they said I needed a heat shield.before I took my car there my heat shield had been secured up.when I got my car out of the shop my car rattled, they had unhooked that heat shield. In my paperwork it said I needed all new wipersActually said I needed all. I had just replaced the rear two days before going here. I had my son fix my issues for 25 dollars for the door. Also he found my front mud flap just stuck in my grill of my car.it wasnt screwed back on. I would never take my car there again. Not even for a recall.
I tried to buy a new Hyundai and they refused to tell me the price of the car. They wanted to run my credit and me to tell them what I could afford each month. They said, it is illegal to tell the customer the price of the car.?????. So I played stupid and said, I wanted to test drive other cars. I texted my friend to drive my car back to his house on the other side of town. I called them up and said, the car wouldn’t start and if they could bring another one to me to test drive. When they came I handed them the keys on video tape so they couldn’t claim I stole it. I left it on empty, took out the spark plugs, and loosened the battery. They tried to charge me $35/month more with $2,000 down payment than what it would cost to buy the car with no money down with 12 extra payments.
I had a noise coming from the front end of my car. These jerks offered me $300 on my trade after their appraisal, basically telling me my car was falling apart and hazardous to drive. They went as far as to tell me the frame of my car was rusted out and coming apart. Luckily, I decided to pump my brakes before hastily purchasing a vehicle from them and I decided to get another opinion about the condition of my car. Both Firestone and Dave Gill Chevrolet informed me that there was no rust, and the noise was simply caused by a broken sway bar. I know my car is older, but $300 for a 2006 Chevy Impala with 110k miles and otherwise in good condition was absurd. Thank goodness I came to my senses before I got scammed. I got my sway bar repaired and decided that whenever I do revisit purchasing another vehicle, it wont be from the liars at Ricart.
Unfortunately the two times that I have attempted to get information from these folks it has been a disaster. After filling out a short online questionnaire letting them know that I am looking into both purchasing and leasing options I was called by the used car department. After explaining what I was looking for he decided that I would need to speak to someone in the new car department. Joseph Eddy answered my transferred call and seemed instantly bothered by the call in general. He asked me how I could help him. I explained what I was looking for and he began to very rudely quote prices to me for a vehicle that I specifically said I was not interested in. After several rude comments he told me he did not think that they could help me but I could make an appointment to come in. He made the decision to not help me before knowing anything about me. He was aggressive and rude and honestly lost my business and that off all of my friends, family, and coworkers. I was in tears after we ended the call which is not a typical response for me. They seemed to want me to give them the permission to pull a credit check for financing but when I explained that I have already gotten financing through my Credit Union but I wanted to look at leasing options, I was treated terribly and very disrespectfully.
Took my car in for slow leak in one of my tires. Leak was hard to locate. Mechanic didnt stop looking till he found it on the inside wall of the tire. couldnt be replaced. Had to buy new tire. Next time I will ask to see proof. It cost me $172.00. Did me a deal and didnt charge me the $10.00 for tire rotation, big deal in Nov. 2017 I brought a brand new car from them. That should have been free anyway. Next flat I will go to pet boys. Their tires come with warranty and roadside service. To be fair they gave me roadside service with new tire.
Kyle started me off and made me feel so comfortable. I felt right at home. Jay took over for him and made my experience exceptional. It was so great to work with him. Melissa helped us wrap it all in a bow to make a fantastic experience. A special thanks to Melissa and especially Jay for their help getting me in my new escape. You guys rock!
The ricart Kia team sold a defunct plugin hybrid car to me that they knew was not what I wanted. They pushed it on me using deceptive sales tactics and when I asked them to make it right, their director spat in my face with a ridiculously low ball offer. I have previously purchased 3 cars here. I will NEVER refer anyone to Ricart ever again.
From the initial contact with the Internet Manager, Adam Hyer, and everyone else we worked with, the experience was a very pleasant one. Our questions were answered quickly, there was no pressure, and best of all, we were in and out in just a few hours - including the test drive. Special thanks to Harly Gifford, who helped us through the entire process. Im going to try to select everyone who worked with us, I just hope I dont miss someone - bottom line - they were all great people and we will be going back again. Oh and by the way, theyve got GREAT Memorial Day savings :)
Horrible! Went here because weve heard great compliments about this place, only to be let down. After spending 3 hours here, we were told to come back the following day and we did. Spent another 2 and a half hours here and then they tried to sell me a car that had a bad radio. No sound at all! And we asked about it, he said I dont know. Its buy as is. Maybe they took the speaker wire out. dont waste your time!
Inquired about buying a vehicle they had listed. They valued their vehicle using NADA as is generally the standard. When it came time to value my trade in, they didnt want to use NADA trade in value. They offered me 11k less than the fair trade value of the vehicle. Definitely a red flag that they want to use a valuation standard that you yourself cannot use.
Went and looked at a 2011 ford exsplorer. 1st day was told they would do nothing because I didnt have my husband. 2nd day the guy said he would have the car pulled up when we got there but no we had to hike to the car by ourselfs. Saw them write down the value of my car and when he came with his deal he had cut $2,000 dollars off the value of my car! They were rushed and we ask to test drive before doing more paperwork and nope he ignored us and we never got to test drive! Said no money down we just wanted to trade in my van. Once they were done the salesman didnt even bother walking over to tell us their deal sent over the manager and told me that the bank wants $8,700 just to give us a loan! That $8,700 would not be added to the balance of the loan. No I had to pay them to give me a loan!? I have NEVER heard of bank demanding $8,700 just to give them the loan! Just hey they want this to even consider!????? I felt like they were just trying to line their pockets with $8,700 that the bank demanded to consider us!?? I flat out said no got up and left! I could not believe that they were trying to scam us!??? I was very upset. Also 1 salesman texts me then another salesman calls me! EXSTREMLY rude and blut and got mad when I said I wanted to come in later. So then when I went in it was ok I worked with the first salesman and the 2nd salesman came over that was awkward but fine. But the next day I text the 1st salesman to tell him I was coming in and didnt get a response. The 2nd salesman calls and want to verify my appointment even tho he knew I was working with the other. The manager calls me and says I have to work with #2 because I talked to him first and he is assigned to me. Even when I said no he wasnt! I was pissed because obviously #2 got butt hurt and reported #1 and the manager sided. I was seriously considering not going but then got told I will work with #1 ok fine but #2 was giving me nasty looks behind him!? Obviously greed is the whole thing! SCAM!! BUYER BEWARE!!!
I bought a Nissan Maxima from Ricart today and had the best experience and 100% it was because of my sales person, John Verdine. I first went to Ricart on Sunday to look at cars and get an idea of what I wanted. John was knowledgeable, showed me several options and wasn’t pushy when I left without purchasing anything. He gave me his cell phone number and over this past week as I had questions, he quickly replied. He provided me with a quote over the phone and went above and beyond to locate the exact car I wanted. When I arrived to sign all of the paperwork, the details were exactly as John promised. Hands down this was by far the best experience I have ever had purchasing a car. If you are car shopping go to Ricart and make sure you ask for John Verdine. Thanks Ricart and John! I LOVE my new Maxima.
If I could give negative stars I would.Unfortunately, my husband found the exact car he was looking for at Ricart. On Thursday evening, he arrived at the dealership to test drive the Certified used vehicle and ended up purchasing it. He drove off the lot after 8pm to bring the car home. Not even 12 hours later, on Friday morning after dropping our son off at school, the dashboard lit up with every warning light possible, power steering went out and car went dead. Ricart offered to tow it back and have it repaired, but honestly I was no longer comfortable with the vehicle, or Ricarts Certified used claim. I wanted to cancel the sale and get our trade in back. That was not an option.Since Ricart wants you to LOVE your purchased vehicle, they offer a 72 hour exchange option. The paperwork states this exchange can be made for ANY vehicle at their dealership...however, its not clear that this only applies to exchange used for used cars. You cannot exchange used to new.Considering the inconvenience of a dead newly purchased car, missed work due to it, and NOW spending our Saturday back at Ricart trying to find a comparable vehicle, I had hoped Ricart would have gone a bit above and beyond for us. NOPE!!! We were unable to find a comparable vehicle and decided to allow them to fix the car. We had to stand firm that we wanted a tow truck to get the car that day. FAR too much of our time was wasted dealing with Ricarts mistake. They said they wanted to make it right, but certainly at their convenience and on their terms...not ours. A small attempt was made to get us a rental car (per our request) from the Enterprise located at Ricart, however it closes at noon on Saturday (and I honestly think this was just a show to make it appear they were trying). On Monday afternoon they brought our repaired car to my husbands office. Not sure how a car inpected & “Certified” needs a battery and alternator replaced 12 hours after purchase! Then, its laughable how Ricart ended up returning the car with less than a quarter tank of gas. See, they sold it like that and told my husband to come back for a fill up since the gas pumps were closed the night when he bought it. So, they had the vehicle at their dealership and didnt have the courtesy to fill up the tank after that had been promised at purchase.Also...pretty scary that we were able to open the navigation system in the car and find the previous owners address & routes!I just found the car we traded in on Ricart’s website!!! Hilarious that...1. We originally asked to cancel the sale Friday morning after the car broke down, and wanted our trade in back. We were given the run around and ultimately told by manager Edwin that the car had already gone to auction....And 2. My husband had forgotten his prescription sunglasses in the traded in car. We asked multiple times and people if they could get the glasses out of the car for us. No one ever came through…and now we find the car is sitting RIGHT on the lot!Unbelievable and NEVER AGAIN! I will make sure EVERYONE I know hears about this experience! Save yourself from an experience like ours and shop somewhere else!
I dont know why anyone would buy from Ricart. I really think they are so use to being shady, they dont even realize how unethical they are. Heres a brief summary of my bad experience:I contacted Ricart via their website and the guy (Shane) who responded was rude. He offered me a vehicle in three colors that I didnt want. When I asked if I could get it in the color I want, He said, I have it in red, grey, and silver. When I went in to see their selection for myself, I called ahead and asked for a specific sales person. They said, He was busy helping customers. When I got in, he wasnt even in that day. The two guys who helped me were kind, but not super helpful. I decided to pass. That night, Shane contacted me again. I told him the price point that I needed and he said they could do that. I made sure he knew that I didnt want to make the 30 minute drive to have my time wasted. He assured me they could make it happen. When I got there, they stalled and stalled and then the manager came out and offered me a price that was worst than the day before. I couldnt believe they wasted my time. The final salt in the wound was that they lowballed the offer for my trade in because It has a disabling accident on its Carfax report. My vehicle has never been in so much as a fender bender.Shady place with shady people.UPDATE 1-4-19: Their response acts like I didnt understand their process. My complaint is that they LIED to me. There is NO other way to look at it. I asked about a specific price and they said yes. I showed up, and they gave me a very different price. If their system was that the price is set, thats how they should have responded to me. I made my questions clear and they knew exactly what was going on. Nobody was confused. They acted unethically. By other peoples response, its not the first time. The solution is not to post a response as if we are looking into this. The solution is to change how you do business.
Never had an easy time using ricart. Tried to buy a brand new van last month and the sales man got very rude and angry that we werent able to come in to do paperwork until after 5. He even said he wanted to go home. Needless to say, Germain ford got the sale and he went empty handed. The hours say open until 8 today. They are closed or thats what the receptionist is telling people. Worst dealership I have ever dealt with.
Went to the Ford service dept, the staff was friendly but did not communicate well at all. Didnt inform me at all they were back logged and would have to keep my car for several days. They couldnt clearly explain their own maintenance packages. Just an overall unpleasant experience.
Dont waste your time at this cruddy dealership. My friend and I went to Ricart to each get a car, a kia stinger and a Hyundai veloster. Due to rude finance personnel and managers not wanting to work with my pre-approval and giving me a laughable trade offer, we took our business to Byers Kia and Hatfield Hyundai respectively. I got a blue 2018 stinger 2.0t and he got a gray 2019 veloster premium. I feel bad for the sales people at Ricart, as management really hurt their chance to make two sales. Maybe consider training in soft skills? Thats my two cents.
Initial quality for KIA was good as was the sales process and initial service. Additionally overall things have been excellent with one exception. Major issues with KIA consumer affairs and minor with Ricart Service when problems arose. No one wanted to take ownership and resolve issues. plus dash lit up and stopped functioning including speedometer, tachometer, even shifting was delayed. This happened in the first year. The second day Ricart Kia called, apologized, and took care of everything with Kia. All my other trips and experiences have been wonderful. I dont think my one bad experience is typical for Ricart. However I do still have concerns with the manufacturer, KIA.
I left insulted. Please do your homework if you do business with them. I was offered $13k for my trade when they sell the same make model and year without the options mine has for about 18k and that was their special pricing. The model with similar options was almost $20k. I consider that usery. I wonder how many people they did this to. I get they have to make money but that is obscene. They had theirs priced based on a best value guaranty which to me says they intentionally tried to screw me over. Never will I go back. Shame on you guys
Worst car buying experience I have ever had. I brought my car in for a trade in. The guy helping us barely spoke English and mumbled like he was afraid to talk or on drugs. Complete idiot. I told him what we were looking for and what payment range we were in. His numbers were crazy and he needed 4k down. LOL. He had an excuse for everything. He wouldnt show me the interest rate or the value of my trade in, I left. Next day some other person calls me and he actually can speak English. He said he could put me in a new car instead of used. So of course I said lets see if I can do that. He checked my credit 18 times with 18 different banks. DO you have any idea what 18 negative hits does to your credit on the same day!!1 My score dropped almost a hundred points and of course now I dont qualify for a loan. Just all around horrible. I called the store to see why this happened. I was transferred to a non English speaker M A NA G ER. He could not say manager without the gaps. He did nothing to explain this or why it happened. He kept saying I only allowed them to check my credit six times. He basically told me to go fly a kite. What a horrible experience. I have never been screwed like this like I was by these clowns at ricard. I will NEVER, I mean NEVER buy anything from that dealership ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am contacting an attorney also as I feel this was some kind of credit fraud or someone at ricard tried to steal my identity. Worst Car buying experience in 30 years. HORRRIIIIIBBBBLLLLLEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Do not trust anything they say, they lie and they are trying to screw you over.
After going to Jeff Wyler, Lindsay on Brice, and HOURS spent online searching, my husband and I chose Ricart. Now, we went based on the amazing selection and the huge range in prices, but we got so much more! After already being harrassed by dealers at othe dealerships, and even online, we were prepared to be firm and ask to be left alone. When we got out of our car we were greeted by Logan Gray(With his awesome beard!) He was immediately friendly but not overly friendly like everywhere else we went so far. He picked up on our vibe and suggested he go look online for some vehicles we told him we were interested in and let us look on our own at their HUGE selection in our price range(under $10k). I could go on and on about how wonderful this experience was but to make a long story short we found the 2006 Nissan Xterra that we absolutely loved and Logan was so accommodating! He had us out of there in no time at all with the keys to our new Nissan. He was absolutely fantastic and we will definitely be seeing him again for our car buying needs! Not only does Ricart have the BEST selection in Ohio, but they hire some pretty awesome salespeople too! We didnt expect such a positive experience and we wont go anywhere else for our vehicles!
LITERALLY drove 2 hours to buy a Toyota Rav-4 and got 5 minutes from the dealership and Curt called to say he sold it. He knew we were ON OUR WAY FROM CINCINATTI going to buy the vehicle and sold it out from under us. Literally 5 minutes away. Poor professionalism. Would not recommend to ANYONE!!! Ever. Worthless.Update******* curt did not even have the courtesy to call. He had his puppet John call and give us a piss poor apology on how its policy first come first serve. Never even offered to help find us another vehicle. We understand you cant hold car BUT when you know someone is in route and driving from a long distance a phone call in the process is THE DECENT THING TO DO. Karma. Thats all.Even more of an update to regan: we are not customers of yours. Dont refer to us as that. We shopped else where.
Liars, dont buy from them. We turned in a leased vehicle and purchased a new one. During the dealing process we asked what we would owe on the old vehicle and were told,by the sales manager, that we could just walk away and owe nothing. We completed the deal and 2 weeks later received a bill from Hyundai Motor Finance for over $1,400 on the old leased vehicle. Called HMFC and they said there was nothing they could do, they always get their money from either the customer or the dealer. The dealer refuses to answer pages or respond to messages or emails. Do not buy from this dealership, they will lie and cheat to make a sale.

2022-04-15Hands down would not recommend buying from here. Purchased a brand new Ford Explorer and within 72 hours the check engine light came on. Called immediately and spoke with someone in customer service that told me it would be a month out to get the car in for service. I Immediately took the vehicle into their service department. Upon arrival, we were told they didn’t know if they had any loaner vehicles available. Followed by a stinky loaner being available within 10 minutes. We appreciated a quick loaner but I could never have my daughter in this vehicle. We left the dealership with zero idea of what to expect, we were told we’d receive a call in a few days as to what was happening with the car.I called the Service dept the following day to see what we could do about a vehicle with issues so soon from purchase. I was told yet again it would be a day or so before a mechanic could look at it. At this time I’m upset our new vehicle is in limbo and no one can give a solid answer as to what or when we will know anything. In the meantime, I’ve tried to reach out to the Sales manager we dealt with the day we bought the car (Zane). He wasn’t available, left a message, called back the following day. Again left a message. Finally I asked customer service to send me to another Sales Manager (Drew) who said he’d look into our issue and get back with me in a few minutes. Hours later….I call back to the dealership to speak with Drew to find out there is no resolution. The deal is done and there isn’t anything they can do but wait for the part to be replaced.NO ONE. I repeat NO ONE told us about a 72 hour return/exchange window which explains why a loaner was so quickly available for us after bringing in the car.At this point, we have zero confidence in this new vehicle and we have even less confidence that the Sales team at Ricart Ford gives a flying about their customers.I tried calling Drew today (4/15) left a message. I also called his boss (Edwin) a few hours later and left a message. We have yet to hear back from anyone at the dealership. We feel 100% played by the Ricart Ford Team. We should have been notified when the vehicle was brought in less than 72 hours after purchase that we had the right to return or exchange. Instead we were swiftly scooted out the door in a smelly loaner and now being told the deal is done.I hands down do NOT recommend buying a vehicle here.

2022-07-22At the beginning of this month my new kia forte broke down on me in the middle of a parking lot. After calling around to find a place that could look at my car the soonest, I decided to have it taken to Ricart. Its been two weeks of my dad and I calling and calling almost everyday just trying to get an update or diagnosis on my car for them to tell me that theyre moving things along and making sure to cover all bases. Today my dad decides to stop in to see if we can get some answers to which we find out that they had my car marked as stolen even after I confirmed the VIN and license plate number several times. They said the first day they had it and looked at it that, it started up fine and absolutely nothing was wrong with it. Im struggling to understand why with every phone call, I was basically told things to get me off the phone and that they would call with updates but they couldnt just let me know everything was totally fine.I work full time and Im a full time student so I bought a new car with the hopes of it getting me through school stress free. I was told if anything happens, I would get a rental car (which didnt happen because they didnt have any) Id have to front the money myself for a rental and then submit the receipt once everything was said and done to see if I would be reimbursed even though my car is still under warranty. If anyone took the time read all this, I would strongly advise taking your car somewhere else to get maintenance since Danny and Mitchell in the service department cant seem to communicate worth a damn. But hey at least I have a free oil change to make everything all better

2022-07-12I flew in from Houston to take a look at a truck they had in stock. Andrew, the salesman, picked me up at the airport in the truck so I could test drive it on the way back to the dealership. Customer service and satisfaction seems to be at the top of their list of important things to do. It was a long way from home but I would do business with them again if the need arose!

2022-02-08This car Dealership is a joke and wouldnt waste your time going. They will rip you off and hide fees everywhere that you will have to pay after you sign the paper work. My parents had a bad experience and decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and they screwed us over too. save your time and money and go somewhere else.I gave them the opportunity to fix their mistake and they refuse.

2022-03-19I was very impressed with the courtesy and professionalism. I recommend anyone that goes to Ricart, request to deal with charity!!! She was the nicest car salesman I have ever dealt with. She took all my requests seriously and was able to get me in my new car in less than 2 hours.

2022-03-29I purchased a 2022 Hyundai Tucson (3rd new car from Ricart). First off, I’m not healthy so I’m not able to drive long distances easily. I still can’t believe I waited months for a new seat cover and spent over 4 hours after driving 2 hours to get it replaced. Interior scratches were to be addressed as well and they were not! Only to get 35 minutes away and realize it doesn’t match! That was September and still NO ANSWERS nor will anyone contact me back. Not my salesman, Nathan. Not the Service Department. No one. It has electrical issues as well. It doesn’t even smell like a new car but with limited new cars, it was impossible to return in the less than 14 day policy!! I’ve reached out to corporate who won’t buy it back (never asked them to). I said a fair resolution is to allow to trade in and lost lose thousands or give money back on what doesn’t resemble ANYTHING like a new car!! I’ve reached out to Hyundai Corporate again thru email. Overloading them with pictures and video of my car! This has done nothing but cause unnecessary and added stress that I do not need as I work with Cleveland Clinic to get my health in order. I’ll never recommend Ricart to anyone again. I recommended them to 2 friends after my 2nd new car purchase. One has purchased two new vehicles and the other a brand new 4-door pickup. No service after the sale. You’d think with a new car shortage, they would go above and beyond as far as customer service! They just ignore you! Wish I was able to post pictures on my review. Be careful when dealing with Ricart!!

2022-03-23I sold my truck at the appraisal building on 2/17 and was told I would have my check within 2-3 weeks. I gave them the address it was to be sent to. The check never came. On 3/11 I called to see where it was and was told that the bank had just cleared it and the check would be over-nighted to me the next day. I gave the address for it to be over-nighted yet again. The check never came. On 3/22 I called again and was told the check was still at Ricart because I never came to pick it up... They said they would over-night it to me yet again, but they HAD THE WRONG ADDRESS!!! So I gave them the address to send it to yet again, and they are supposedly over-nighting it yet again... Ill believe it when I see it. Oh, and Ricart, since I know youll see this and respond, anything other than We know our people screwed up and we are going to measures to make sure something like this never happens again to other customers, is unwanted. To be fair, and the reason for the second star, the experience actually selling the truck was great and went smoothly. It sure would have been nice to have my 5 grand a few weeks ago, though...

2022-04-20This will be along review. I didnt want to give a 1 star. They like to practice illegal BAIT & SWITCH GAMES. I test drove a 2021 Hyundai Hybrid. The sales manager Steve pulled up on his manager specials website. It stated 2021 Hyundai with heated and cooled seats. I test drove the vehicle and noticed the window sticker said as sales manager stated $31000. Purchased the vehicle and drove home. 1 week later Steve called me stating I have the wrong vehicle. I actually purchased a vehicle I had never seen nor test drove. When I returned to get this matter straightened out. I was told for another $13000 I could buy the vehicle I took home. I explained what I saw and the window sticker. The manager Tim called me a liar. Even the sales person Abbigail stated it was true. Someone from their dealership by the name of Megan accessed the driving capabilities remotely on the dash control panel. I should have looked up the internet information. This would have proven I wasnt a liar. The internet listed the car I drove home and all its amenities as the car I purchased. The VIN #s didnt match. I contacted their arbitration from the Attorney Generals office called AUTOCAPP. WHAT A FN JOKE. THEY ARE BIASED!!! My suggestion is NEVER DEAL WITH RICART. IF YOU DO, TAKE PICTURES OF VEHICLE YOU ARE PURCHASING WITH WINDOW STICKER IN IT. TAKE PICTURES OF VIN # AND NEVER SIGN THE ARBITRATION AGREEMENT. BY LAW YOU DONT NEED TO. PROTECT YOURSELF

2022-06-05Horrible sales people . Y’all need to definitely do better . Wesley was so rude from start to finish . And plus would it be so bad for the rest of you people to show some respect to customers and say hello and excuse me? But manners aren’t necessary when only one blank person works here and you have a black customer? It’ll come back to you all though I M sure .

2022-06-10Got a new 21 elantra, 15k check engine light comes on for a thermostat. Finally got my car back 2 months later. Ricart didnt start the car, move the car for the full 2 months, got the car back with 2 months of dirt built up. Didnt bother giving me the car dirty. 1 problem has now become 10 problems. Now my cars dead and Im out in the middle of no where. Oh and this Elantras horn is broke, only used it one time. I WILL NEVER COME BACK TO RICART AGAIN. I WILL NEVER BUY A HYUNDAI AGAIN.
