We made our reservations months in advance, so I was surprised when we checked In (into the 2 bedroom suite) that the person checking us in remembered us and the occasion of our stay. The room was absolutely amazing. Having our own kitchen with all the extras was a plus for our stay. The beds very comfortable. And extremely clean!!! Having the hotel connected to mall with a walk through was and is nice for a dinner at Firebirds (no driving needed) Upon checking out we had amazing service, helpful and very very polite. We did need a half hour later for check out (this was the Bride Tribe party of 8) so when I asked the front desk, I must say i was answered with yes ma’am no problem at all! Wow this will forever be my goto when I need a hotel for family/friends visiting the area!
This was our first time staying here. The hotel was a little difficult to find because you can’t see it from the main road. Check in was quick and easy. The hotel was well kept and very clean and it was very quiet. Room was awesome and we had everything we needed. Staff was very helpful. Everything you need or want is close to the hotel. We will definitely stay here again on our return to the area.
We had an emergency and needed a suite to stay. The staff was very accommodating and helped us find a room that we needed very quickly. They were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. If there was anything that we needed, the staff helped us very quickly and efficiently. It was a great stay.
This is a beautiful new hotel. It is located in a Mall complex, so lots of shopping and eating places. Very modern design. Everything was spotless. The staff was very friendly. Overall a great stay. Only issue, if youre traveling with a dog, there really isnt a good place to walk them or let them relieve themselves. If you have a small dog it might work.
This is a great alternative to staying in just a hotel room. Provides all the convenience of home and gives room to spread out for a family. We stayed in the efficiency with our granddaughter and were very comfortable. The location to restaurants and the fact that it is attached to the mall makes it all the more appealing. Aaron at the front desk was declared by our granddaughter as the nicest and friendliest person she has ever met.
The hotel is a good size and bedding is comfortable. The main issue I found is:I travel a lot with my dog and am used to stay at hotels that allow dogs. This hotel had one of the highest pet fees ($75) and lowest cleaning offered. The hotel looked clean, but it smelled terrible. One would think that with this fee they charge they would be able to keep the hotel clean and smelling fresh, but the entire hotel, including the studio we slept in, smelled like a mix of wet dog and dog urine. Just terrible, and based on my experience in other hotels that allow pets, they usually do a great job keeping hotel staying fresh. Also, usually with the pet fees Im used to getting a dog treat/ toy/ water bowl - not at this property - they charge $75 and give nothing in return for it (not cleaning or treats for the dog.I would not recommend this property.
I felt very safe staying at the hotel. Everything was very clean. Wipes were in the room so I was able to wipe off high touch areas and the tv remotes! The breakfast was all single serve and pre-wrapped, which made me feel very comfortable. The staff we encountered were excellent especially Aaron and Carrie. I will stay there again!
We had an unfortunate event in our home and had too ind a place to stay. The friendly staff at the desk took care of us to get us in last minute. The number one thing I look for in a hotel stay is cleanliness and thats what we got. Everything was well kept and updated. Hot breakfast and even laundry service so we didnt have to go out to wash our clothing. We even got to schedule time in the pool. I will recommend Residence Inn to family/friends when they come to visit.
My boyfriend booked this hotel thinking it was $200 a night (that’s what we saw on the app). We were only staying for two nights. We checked his credit card after we booked our nights and it was charged $650, which was clearly not right. When we talked to the front desk about it, they said they couldn’t do anything about it. We also wanted to do a late checkout on our last day so we could spend time in the pool before we left, the front desk man rolled his eyes at us and gave us attitude. Also had a brown/blood stained towel in our drawer right when we got there🤮 I have been to way better places that are way cheaper. Never going back again.
The staff is extremely pleasant and professional. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and I am very picky about my mattress. The breakfast was fine, some of the items were cold, but there was plenty to choose from. Always have hot water available for tea! This is awesome because a lot of places dont keep up on refilling. Coffee and hot chocolate packets available 24 hours. Would stay here again.
My granddaughter and I stayed for 2 nights and from walking in to leaving, our experience was wonderful. The room was fabulous and it was clean. Breakfast was plentiful and had a good variety of items to pick from. I know on a few nights they have some kind of mixers and food for the evening. I got to experience that on my last stay in November. We enjoyed the hot tub. The entrance to the mall was blocked off for construction so we had to walk outside to get into the mall. Slight inconvenience but not worth complaining about. A HUGE shout out to the older black gentleman who checked us in. I wish I would have gotten his name. Said it was his 3rd week working. He was fabulous!!!! Beyond friendly and he just had a great personality. I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here.
I was very disappointed. I have stayed at this hotel in past and was satisfied with the rooms and the service that I received. So I decided to have my daughters birthday party in their meeting room. I get there to set up and the room was a mess. When I made the reservation they asked and I told them how I wanted the room set up, needless to say it wasnt. I had to spent my 1st hour cleaning and rearranging this space, which had not been cleaned in a while. The tables were dirty, there was garbage and leaves all over the floor and the window seals were covered with a thick layer of spider webs. For the amount of money I paid I should have not had to clean coming or going.... This set my party back an hour. I will say the gentleman man that worked the front desk on second shift was very pleasant, I wish I knew his name. After speaking with the manager and expressing my concerns, she went above and beyond to make things right. Thanks, will give them another try.
The room was super clean and the shower was so relaxing. The bed was like a cloud; no annoying dip in the middle you get sometimes, which is a big deal for me. The staff was super on top of things, which I love as a former marriott employee. Overall, my last minute stay was entirely stress-free and beautiful. I am sad the bed was so comfortable I slept through the free breakfast though!! 😁
Scheduled a business work session -- everything was in place for success and comfort. Danielle worked to accommodate the requests we needed -- rooms close, less volume/traffic area, etc. PERFECT There were multiple events going on -- with adults and children -- we were not distracted by them -- things were managed properly -- no noise, no mess, no unruly youth. All services back up and running as they did before COVID. And yes were are booked back in September.
Great location! Hotel rooms were spacious, quiet and lots of amenities. The fitness room needed better air conditioning and a treadmill wasn’t working, but they had a decent weight selection and it was roomy and clean. The indoor pool area was nice. As far as the room, we loved the kitchenette and it had everything we needed right there. Also we Loved that it was walking distance to the mall, Minor League baseball fields,Target and even restaurants. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on, but wasn’t bad. We enjoyed having a separate bathroom, available if you get the two bedroom. Also, we loved that our room was big enough to have friends over after the Minor League game. Our friends, who stayed at another area hotel, came by to hang out with us at our hotel, after the game, because our room was big like a little apartment. We would stay here again and we were pleased with the price for the room as well. We had a nice visit to Niles.
We found aunts in our room we stayed two days when we arrived there was no pots or pans in our room no dishwasher cleaner... The front desk people were great and all but also the “heated pool” was super cold and wasn’t many towels available... spent over $350+ for two nights just to receive kinda a badish experience..
Nice clean hotel. Friendly staff. Good amenities. I was there for a wedding. The staff was able to get us all an early checkin due to an early dress rehearsal and also got everyone in my party a room on the same floor which was really nice especially since my dummy friend the groom didnt get a block of rooms like a regular human being. It was in a good location with plenty of things around for us to do. My friend recommended this hotel to me, I recommended it to another friend and I would recomend it again. Thanks for the rad stay
For me personally I stay at a hotel from anywhere between 4-13 weeks depending on the job. Things like a smart TV & a comfortable bed I would say are the most important things to me. Unfortunately, neither of these things are available at this location. I will say for a small town, this is the area to be as there is not much around for food/shopping.
The rooms were amazing. Two separate bedrooms with large flat screen TVs, a central living area with its own TV, couch and desk, plus a full size kitchen with a dining area that seated 4. Room was immaculately clean except for the dog toy we found under the couch. The facility was clean and comfortable, and the hot tub felt terrific after a long day, but the pool was ice cold and completely unenjoyable. The staff was wonderful except the lady managing the breakfast area. There was an older gentleman trying to make a waffle, but his hands couldnt stop shaking well enough to pour the batter and fill the waffle maker, so he asked the lady for some assistance. She just told him he had to make it himself, and she walked away. We felt so bad for the guy, my wife stopped and made his waffle for him. But otherwise it was as wonderful. It even had its own private, secured entrance to the mall.
The Residence was a great place to stay. Our room was very clean, the staff was very friendly and the breakfast was great. Normally, to me, a hotel bed is not that comfortable but this one was very comfortable and soft. I slept like a baby. The decor was beautiful in the hotel and the room. We had a full kitchen, sofa bed and one bedroom, all for a great price. We couldnt beat it. I will definitely be looking for more Residence Inn wherever we stay and definitely recommend this one to anyone staying in the Niles area.
Weve stayed a couple times and i always loved it but the employees seem miserable to work here. My housekeeper star i think it was she was great cleaner but she didnt smile or anything when i gave her her tip and the head ex seemed irritated when i asked for my room cleaned. It was a nice stay but nobody seemed to be happy
I had an early wake up call on my departure day and forgot to pack a few clothing items. I notified the staff on the way to airport and within two days after returning home I received the items in the mail.. Over the years Ive done that several times and never recovered the items. This act of kindness and attention will make me a return customer to your hotel everytime I come to the area. Many many thanks to the staff !Although, on the flip side, pls use softer toilet tissue, and perhaps put a light activated night light on the bathroom....
I cant say enough how amazing this hotel stay was. We happened to be passing through the area on our way to visit family. We were looking for a nice, yet spacious hotel for my family of four. I went online, booked using my Marriott Rewards points, and were all set.I called in advance to request some extra pillows and towels and they were waiting at the front desk for me when I arrived. The clerk was kind, helpful, talked with both of my kids, and made our intro to the hotel feel like home. The room itself was perfect. The bed was spot on, the pull out bed was (surprisingly) comfortable, and the bathroom was beautiful, functional, and one of the top 10 best showers I think Ive ever had.The breakfast the next day was wonderful. Hot, fresh, delicious, and the staff there was very helpful and attentive to any needs we had.My only regret, is that we werent able to stay longer, so as to enjoy all of the additional amenities such as the fire pit, the pool and hot tub, and the basketball court (which my son was VERY upset about not being able to play).I cant say thank you enough for this stay and we will be ACTIVELY looking for this hotel the next time we are through.
We checked in on Dec. 25th for 2 nights in a suite. Around 12 midnight we pulled out the bed in the sleeper couch and found bedbugs. I went to the front desk and told the clerk that I found bedbugs. She said that we could be moved to a studio room which is a smaller room. This would not accommodate my family properly, so we checked out and left. Our family weekend getaway was ruined. We stayed here the previous year without any problems. I am awaiting a response to my complaint from corporate.
The staff was very nice and accommodating! Very clean rooms and great layout! We had friends and family from Southern California stay here for our wedding in Warren and I was so pleased with the entire experience! We had guest bags for them to give out and they did it in a very timely manner and perfectly to each of our 25 or so guests! They had nothing bad to say and we will definitely be returning here for more trips and would recommend staying there to anyone! Thanks so much Marriott!!!
This hotel was, by far, the greatest I have ever stayed in. Everything was perfect. Thanks to Marriotts new mobile check-in, the night before we arrived I checked in on the app, said we were planning on arriving to the area at 10 am, and I called to make sure and she said our room was ready! Six hours before regular check-in! The breakfast was amazing. So many choices for food, as well as beverages...a soda fountain in the breakfast area! There were individual booths, each with their own television and remote control, which was so cool! They have a basketball court in the back, as well as an awesome pool and hot tub. The room was incredible, fully stocked with everything we could ever need, as well as a very comfortable sofa and oversized television. The staff was the best I have ever dealt with anyplace, and they were so accommodating. Lets not forget about the access to the mall...right out the back door of the hotel and into the mall! Overall, absolutely incredible stay. Will certainly be returning very soon!!
I am extremely picky when it comes to hotels and I can easily say I was impressed with this one. I highly recommend it! We hated to leave and my kids made me promise wed come back for a weekend just to hang out there! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful - they treated us like we were the only guests in the hotel (and I know the hotel was full). The rooms were very clean, well maintained and just looked nice! No complaints from my daughter who slept on the fold-out couch bed either. She said it was comfortable. There was a nice variety for breakfast (could use one more waffle maker) and theres a lot to do around the hotel. Thanks so much for making our stay so enjoyable!
We have stayed at this hotel many times and always had a good experience. However, the last time we stayed we found a bed bug on the pull out couch in room 218. We still had to get all of our stuff together and out of there which took awhile. They said they would take care of eradicating the bugs from that room. We stayed Jan 25-26 2020. We were refunded for our stay. I am just writing this as a warning to others. We have had many other stays without an issue.
I stay at this hotel almost weekly, and can’t recommend it highly enough. Staff service should be a 15 rating! Everyone I have met has treated me as a welcome guest and done everything possible to enhance my stay. The hotel is attached to a large mall, so it is easy to simply walk through a corridor to shops and restaurants (especially welcome in bad weather). Rooms are quiet, spacious, spotless,, and have a complete (and totally functional) kitchen. Parking is convenient, free Internet is good. And let me mention the staff one more time. They are what make this hotel so special.
I agree with the positive posts I read on the site. The facility is well designed, clean, and easy to access. The room was one of the better layouts Ive stayed in recently. The bathroom especially reflected design for a space to spend more than a night with room for toiletries and particularly the walk in shower arrangement. The room was clean and the housekeeping service during the stay was good. Breakfast was only average in terms of quality and variety but I appreciated having the soda machine option which is often missing at hotels. A good place to stay and Ill be back the next time Im in town for a family event.
Very nice appearance, staff is accommodating and bed is very comfortable. Confused by lack of willingness to fix things and supply missing items - told this is the Marriott way of doing things. It is an extended stay but they only feed you 3 nights, unlike other Residence Inns.
We stay at this Residence Inn 2 to 3 times a year. It is new, beautiful, spacious, and the staff is superb. The best times are at Thanksgiving and Christmas as this hotel is connect to the mall. It is always nice to be able to walk to Firebirds and then walk back to your room after a nice dinner. You need a room key to get into the hotel from the mall. I highly recommend a stay. And I am very picky!
The hotel itself was pretty. The room was really nice. However there was a bad smell in the room. It just smelled unclean. Kind of like an old basement. I had an early check in so maybe they rushed the cleaning. There was also beer bottle caps in the couch. We seen them because the cushion wasnt pushed in all the way. It was hanging off the couch. The front desk staff were super unhelpful and not informative at all! We had trouble with check in because of the lack of communication. We had an issue with incidentals because of the lack of communication. I will never come back to this location. I like the Residence Inn as a hotel but this location sucks!
Very nice. Clean. Friendly and responsive staff. Big towels, comfortable bed and furniture. Pleasant, rather trendy decor. Well stocked rooms, with name brand sundries (shampoo, dish soap, etc.). Nice laundry. The breakfast was impressive. They offered the standard all-you-can-eat hotel fare, but the details made it! Attached to the mall, it is located in a very convenient area, (grocery, retail, entertainment, nature, fuel) and conducive for traveling families. Swimming pool water was very cold but who (or what) is perfect? Highly recommended!! Hope your stay is as pleasant as ours.
While driving en route from Connecticut last fall, I called ahead to reserve a room at the Niles Marriott. The hotel receptionist was extremely kind and helpful, ensuring that they had a handicapped room available for my elderly mother, and quoting the cost to stay for one night. Upon our arrival a couple hours later, everything was as mentioned, with some pleasant surprises... A light dinner buffet awaited us, along with the kindest, most helpful staff Ive experienced in any hotel, anywhere. The room was actually a beautiful, spacious 2+ room suite with a separate bedroom, handicap bath, living room and kitchen! The entire place was clean and inviting. I was also amazed at how the Marriott was connected to the Eastwood Mall, which is an indoor mall with scores of stores and public areas. The following morning, we enjoyed a hot breakfast before continuing our trip. In this day and age, I hugely appreciate the kindness of people in business and service, and the staff at Marriott Niles/Warren were all that and more. Im also hoping that the idea of connecting hotels, offices, perhaps even parks, to some of our struggling indoor malls will encourage people to frequent them and help foster community relations.
Wonderful property! Stayed here while in town for the Thanksgiving Holiday. While other family members stayed nearby at the Fairfield Inn, I stayed at this property so that I might have the full size kitchen. I was in charge of the Thanksgiving meal that I had to prepare as we were then taking this to a nearly Nursing Home Facility to enjoy the day with our Mother there. This worked out amazingly! The hotel was new and tastefully decorated. Everything from the large, tech-friendly lobby to the suite itself! Bed was the most comfortable ever! Front desk staff was friendly & very accommodating! Complimentary breakfast was superb as was the staff in that area as well! Great, overall experience at this Residence Inn -- not to mention, connected with a walkway to the Eastwood Mall! Great location!
Ive never given a hotel All Excellents in my reviews, but I will this time. We spent four days at the Youngstown-Niles OH Residence Inn while visiting my daughter and her family for Christmas. My husband wound up being ill, and spent his Entire visit in the hotel room, with our family coming there to see us (although I went to their house, my husband did not.) The king suite is a pleasant, well-stocked, well-cared for unit that is reasonably priced. We loved it, and my husband did not tire of it, even though he spent four days and nights there. Their continental breakfast and coffee are definitely worth getting up for! Everything you need is right there in the hotel, and theyre located in a mall area (though its quiet) so you wont want for anything. Easy on/off the highway (82). In addition to the excellent facility and food, the most amazing thing to us was that ALL the staff we encountered over the four days, from check-in and out, to breakfast staff to cleaning staff, were the most cheerful and wonderfully helpful people. That made our stay exceptionally pleasant. We would highly recommend this hotel as a place for you to stay when you are in the area.
Room and overall facility was clean and comfortable. Staff were all friendly. So why 2 stars? Two minutes after my girlfriend started showering this morning the water cut off. Hair covered in shampoo, and no water. I called the front desk and was told there was a scheduled water outage until 2pm, and this had been scheduled 3 weeks ago. I didnt get to shower at all, and neither of us got to even brush our teeth. NOT ACCEPTABLE.1) I received zero warning of this when I booked the room. 2) I received zero warning of this when I checked in. 3) I received no slip of paper under the door last night warning about the outage. The only notice I saw was at the front desk WHILE CHECKING OUT just now.Access to water is a basic human requirement, and this hotel didnt think it important to give guests some heads-up. Unbelievable.
This hotel provides the same comfort and conveniences as if you were home. Enjoyed a great nights sleep on their comfortable beds. Breakfast and evening Mix was pleasant and great opportunity to socialize. Room was always neat and clean. Front desk staff made checking in and out easy. My family and I would definitely recommend this hotel for business or leisure.
I was in town for business, and selected this hotel. I was impressed when I walked into the lobby. It is bright and cheerful. Staff is friendly and professional. The rooms are clean and comforting. I do like the extra amenities as well. I also took advantage of the gym. It is a little small, and I wish the machines were more updated. It is something I see at other hotels. It would be nice to have a hotel that takes an approach to to update the gym equipment as seriously as they do their facility.Overall, this is a great place to stay!! 5 stars in my book.
I stayed here less than a week after its opening and I was thrilled with the amenities and service. For a very reasonable rate, my studio room had a kitchen area, lounging area and a large modern bathroom. The gym was nice and what you would expect. The continental breakfast was probably the nicest Ive ever seen for being included in the room rate. The entire staff was very friendly and always asking if I needed anything. If I come back for business I will definitely stay here again.
The hotel is extremely clean and well kept, your staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. I travel often and everything I look for in a place to stay, your hotel exceeded all expectations.I also wanted to mention the reservations agent, Malack, is doing an exceptional job. She is super friendly and knows her job well- making the check-in process painless. Her professionalism and attention to detail will keep me coming back to your property.
Loved staying at this hotel this past weekend for a wedding. Very easy to get to from the highway and has many things to do in the area! This hotel was so clean and the staff was so friendly! I was amazed at how large the hotel room was, how big the kitchen area and sitting area! The king size bed was super comfortable and I liked how you could turn the television to either watch while sitting on the sectional couch or you could watch it while laying in bed. The bathroom was super large and very clean!
A job title or positions doesnt make you a HERO your actions DO. The Staff at the Residence Inn at Niles has MANY HEROs and they go out of their way to not only do their job but to treat you like family. This Disabled Veteran Salutes the workers and says THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE. GOD BLESS AND GOD BLESS AMERICA LAND THAT I LOVE
The Residence Inn at Youngtown/Niles OH is a new and beautiful facility. We recently stayed there for three nights while visiting family in the area over Christmas. We stayed in a king suite, and it was spacious, well-decorated and kept up. Full sized fridge, stove and microwave and apartment sized dishwasher. Beautifully decorated. The staff there - from housekeeping, to breakfast staff to front desk staff were all pleasant and considerate. Once in our room, we heard no other noise with one rather unhappy exception. Garbage trucks arrived on a Friday morning at 4:30 a.m. and proceeded to empty 5 bins out back of our room for a noisy 20-30 minutes (the hotel is located in a mall area, and our bedroom view was out on an alley.) The living room view was nicer, overlooking a courtyard in the hotel. This was just one day, and actually, didnt really impact our over-all experience negatively. The breakfast buffet was the best Ive seen. They have everything from muffins and yogurt, to eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, coffees, juices, etc.I would definitely recommend this lodging facility as a good place to stay in the area.
The hotel itself is wonderful. But the customer service was awful this time around. I previously stayed here and had a great time before. This time was the opposite. Place is clean and very spacious for families. I really love the setup and area. However, I booked this trip way back in February for a Family Reunion. I called to modify my reservation and I found out that my reservation was cancelled by the hotel General Manager. There was a mix up with another family member cancelling their reservation which resulted in my room being cancelled also, with no notification. There were no more rooms of that type available. There should be a more secure way to modify customers reservations. After numerous calls I was able to fix it (due to my sister cancelling and giving me her room) and get the same room type I originally reserved and for the same price which I was very thankful for. Thankfully I was able to stay in the same hotel as my other family members, as originally planned. After check in I noticed my account was charged for TWO rooms. Resulting in unexpected money in my account to not be available to me. It was eventually fixed and the money released back to me the next day. Lastly, it would be great if it wasnt so easy for a (child) guest to log into the High Speed internet which costs $5 a day. My child logged into it and she was unaware she chose the high speed internet option. I was unaware she did it as well and incurred those extra fees. I was told everyone in that room got the high speed internet. The connection was awful and I used my cell service instead. Some added security check would be nice before charging people. Otherwise, the hotel is well kept and clean. You can tell great pride goes into the upkeeping of the place. Great location and great for families.
We stayed here for 2 weeks. Staff was great. Rooms appear newly redone and the 1 bedroom suit was spacious and had great appliances and was trendy. Pool was nice. Great free breakfast and social hour. Kid and pet (cat) friendly. Would love to stay there again and totally recommend!
My husband and I were visiting nearby Warren, OH, and decided to stay at this Residence Inn for one night. We were thrilled at check-in to discover that our suite had been upgraded to two bedrooms at no additional cost to us! Since there were only two of us staying for only one night, that extra bedroom and bathroom would not be used, but we certainly felt pampered. Also, learning that this facility had just opened at the end of May gave us a confident feeling that everything would be top-notch and new, and it was! Gorgeous contemporary wall coverings, carpets, window coverings, and furnishings were everywhere--from the lobby to the hallways to the elevators to our suite. This suite was luxurious and spacious and beautifully appointed. We had three large flatscreen TVs (only used two, though) and a full, well-appointed kitchen for four individuals with stainless steel Whirlpool appliances (yes, even a dishwasher!). The master bedroom had plush white bedding with an abundance of pillows and a very comfortable king-sized mattress. Its bathroom was huge with stunning granite counters and an over-sized, walk-in shower with a floor-to-ceiling glass wall at the end with the showerhead. Oh, yes, the shower drain was covered with a piece of brushed aluminum (my description), so the water hit the metal and then ran over it to the disguised drain. Clever and unique. The complimentary hot breakfast was one of the best we have experienced at any hotel due to so many options. My husband really enjoyed the dish with potatoes and ground beef. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed this resort experience, or at least we thought we were staying at a 5-star resort! Yes, we will definitely return.
The friendliness of the front desk and the assistant at the morning breakfast were great. The hotel amenities such as the hot tub, the pool and the work out area were quite adequate. The lobby area with its individual booth areas and TVs were unexpected surprise. Being next to the mall entrance could be considered a good or bad thing, its in how you look at it. Very convenient and we were able to do some quick shopping. We had a great time and will recommend to family and friends.
We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights due to a funeral we were attending in Warren, Ohio. The hotel lobby was very nice. The check in area was clean and neat. The person who checked us in (I think she was in training) was assisted by an assistant manager. The check in was a little lengthy due to her being in training, but we didnt mind the wait at all. The asst. manager was very gracious and helpful. The hotel had plenty of carts to use to bring our luggage in (I hate when hotels do not have enough carts). Unfortunately, when we walked into our room, we immediately smelled a foul odor. We werent sure what it was or where it was coming from but we did not have time to worry about it due to having to deal with funeral arrangements so we did not stay in our room long. To make a long story short, the foul odor smelled like cat urine. The front desk manager brought us up some room spray that night. She came in and smelled the odor right away and asked if we wanted to change rooms. Since it was so late at night I decided to use the room spray she gave us and not change rooms (too much of a hassle). At check out I asked to speak to the manager and asked if anyone had mentioned the odor issue in our room. He had not been notified but quickly helped remedy the issue. He was very helpful, gracious and professional. So, despite the foul odor, the rooms were FANTASTIC! Our room had a full kitchen (it even had a dishwasher!) and a family room area with a work desk. It had a separate bedroom with lots of closet space and a large bathroom. Despite the smell, the rooms were spotless, they came with plenty of towels and blankets and basic kitchen supplies. Breakfast is very nice. It is a hot breakfast that has meat items. They change the hot items up every morning, but always serve the staple items like eggs, toast, oatmeal, waffles, etc. The breakfast selection was nice, the area was kept clean by a very friendly attendant, and there was lots of space to eat at tables. The eating area also has these mini t.v. areas that include a couch, small table, and your own private t.v. with a remote. Each area is partitioned off so that it is semi-private. We loved this feature. The pool area is nice as well. It is an indoor pool with a separate hot tub. Again - everything was clean and neat. So, despite the odor problem (the manager remedied our situation at check out) we would Definitely stay here again! GREAT HOTEL!!!!!
We stayed in a King Suite and enjoyed it very much. Hotel staff were very welcoming and accommodating. The mixer/entertainment on our first night was enjoyable. The free breakfast offered a variety of items. The pathway to the Eastwood Mall was an added benefit. Would definitely return to this hotel when in the area again.
We stayed on the 2nd floor and even though it was on a Friday night and the hotel was booked solid it wasnt loud anywhere. If you walked past the indoor heated pool and hot tub room you could hear very muted sounds. The hotel is connected to the mall..you dont have to step outside at all. The hotel is modern with art and beautifully designed reception area. Same with the rooms, very tastefully done and extremely comfortable beds pillows etc.plenty of towels amazing staff!! This hotel is worth the cost
Room and overall facility was clean and comfortable. Staff were all friendly and accommodating. Problem: two minutes after my girlfriend started showering, the water cut off. It was 9:00am. Hair covered in shampoo, and no water.I called the front desk and was told there was a scheduled water outage until 2pm, and this had been scheduled 3 weeks previous. I didnt get to shower at all, and neither of us got to even brush our teeth. No water to flush the toilet! At 9:00am on a Monday morning, without any warning at all!***NOT ACCEPTABLE.***1) I received zero warning of this when I booked the room. 2) I received zero warning of this when I checked in. 3) I received no slip of paper under the door the previous evening warning about the outage. The only notice I saw was at the front desk WHILE CHECKING OUT.Access to water is a basic human need, and this hotel manager didnt think it important to give guests some heads-up. Unbelievable.
Recently I stayed at the Residence Inn at Niles/Warren with my daughter and four grandsons. I was thoroughly pleased with the service and amenities offered. We arrived without a reservation but were accommodated anyway. At check-in we were offered snacks and the complementary ice cream sundae bar was already in full swing. After checking in we took advantage of the pool which was exactly what our boys needed after a long car ride. The double room was clean and well-appointed with sleeping arrangements for 6 including a full kitchenette and 2 full bathrooms. The cost was very reasonable. The Staff were very accommodating by providing extra soap, extra blankets (at midnight!) and even re-opening the breakfast bar for us when we arrived 15 minutes late. I will definitely stay at this Residence Inn again!
Nothing is perfect, but the staff at the location is excellent. Being housed at this location for nearly two months, I can say this was not just a quick one time I taken care of properly or professionally. This location is the place to stay and is a highwater mark for an area that has too few good points. The rooms are clean and spacious, breakfast is always fresh and different. Most importantly to any guest for any reason of travel, THIS LOCATION IS CLEAN!!!
This RI seems brand new with up to date, modern decor and all the comforts of home! The front desk staff were all helpful and we were able to check in a couple hours early & take a much needed nap. The hotel is almost attached to the shopping mall, so we walked over & did some shopping and grabbed dinner to eat in our room. Our room was a 1 King bed studio suite. Smallish in size, but plenty of space for the two of us. The television swivels so you can view from either the couch or the bed. Very comfy bed & pillow. Spacious bathroom, small kitchenette, nice size desk/work area with plenty of plugs, both a/c and usb. The complimentary breakfast was plentiful and tasty - and the coffee was hot & delicious!
Although I booked my stay months in advance there was no room readily available for me when I came to check in. The young lady at the desk provided us with snacks and drinks as we waited for our room to become available. She was very professional. I only wish that I had known that we had to wait before she took my payment. The room was nice, we had the double suite. We were able to cook (well we warmed up food), and the kids really enjoyed their time in the pool. There is direct access to the mall and shopping areas and some pretty good restaurants. I would definitely consider staying again.
Stayed for an extended length of time for business and was never disappointed with any aspect of customer service. This is the nicest group of people from start to finish. It is nice to feel that the staff treat each other with kindness, caring and respect. It is evident when they interact and its crucial to the success of an organization such as this. The location has alot of construction going on around it but you dont even notice because the inside environment is so pleasant, whether youre in your room, the nice, inviting lobby or the dining area. This Residence Inn is exceptional!!
I wish every hotel I stayed at was this nice. Somebody did a lot of work to make the rooms business person friendly. It is laid out in a way that I can comfortably get work done while watching a game on TV. Great pool. The top of my list is the staff: FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL. I think 5 stars understates the quality of this hotel.
I’m not pleased at all with my stay at the Residence inn. Housekeeping was very rude and added fictitious charges to my card after I checked out when I called to ask why she gave me total different reason than the reason that was on a bill sent to my email. The complimentary breakfast was horrible found mold on my bagel. Couldn’t connect to the WiFi and when I reported it to the front desk he had no resolution for the problem. The front desk clerks were not helpful at all whenever I asked for towels they told me they didn’t have any, asked for trash bags they had none whatever I asked for they never could help with. I didn’t feel welcomed
I thought the room was very clean and very modern. I love the kitchen and a small apartment feel. The free breakfast is well worth the price of the room, especially for families. My only real complaint was the price of the items in the Market. I paid $3 for a KitKat, which was a little pricey even for hotel.
Room was well worn. Fabric on chairs was rubbed away. Kitchen and bathroom cabinets were missing stain (worn away). After having my children stand ankle deep in water due to a clogged drain, I had to remove the drain cover and the hair causing the drain to be clogged. I prefer to not perform maintenance while staying in a hotel. Additionally, housekeeping only made 1 of the 3 beds in the room.
We had a very enjoyable stay at the Residence Inn staying three nights. The hotel was clean and very comfortable. The staff was helpful and friendly. The decor was very pleasant in the public areas as well as our suite. Also being so near the Eastwood Mall was convenient as well as so many restaurants were also available to us. We definitely will be staying here again in the future.
This hotel is very clean, roomy, modern, and has a great location, however the staff is not very helpful and somewhat unprofessional. Not willing to yield to help make things right.Whatever you do, make sure you do not get a room next to the basketball court, it’s very loud at all times. Most nights people were still out playing basketball past the 11 PM curfew and the staff did nothing.
I stayed for a night at the Residence Inn in Niles but when I went to check out, I realized they charged me for an extra night. The manager was incredibly rude when I was trying to reconcile the situation. If you stay here, make sure to double check your bill or they may scam you for an extra night like they did to me!
This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. It is always clean. The staff is very friendly and always asking if there is anything they can do to make your stay better. The breakfast buffet has a large variety of items and the food is very good. We love staying in a suite where it doesnt feel like you are cramped in one room- Overall it is the best in the area.
Very nice place to stay. Even though its located in the shopping center, the hustle and bustle of the business do not bother you. They have enough parking space you can pull the car right in front of the hotel to unload. Staff were very friendly and courteous. They treat you like they want you back if you are in the area. They have a light dinner from Monday through Wednesday from 6PM to 7:30PM and they have a great breakfast menu. Thank you for making my stay there enjoyable.
Super clean room, great hotel staff - made this trip to see family a breeze! Even with a bunch of kids staying in the hotel, my room was a quiet retreat. (The breakfast area was a bit of a zoo, but thats to be expected anytime you have delicious waffle scents drifting around :-) )
I am from Warren and with family there and holidays Emmy family and I stay in hotels in the area. By far this hotel was the cleanest, nicest, easiest hotel to stay at. The staff is friendly, kind, and helpful. The double king suite is roomy and provides ample seating, and with a family of 5 that is most certainly needed. The Residence Inn will be the hotel we stay at from here on out!
Overall it was very good. Staff was very friendly and facilities were great. Proximity to mall and other food options is of course always a plus. Not so great things:1. Room had a strong odor of what seemed like an unwashed body in the bathroom. On day two, I asked housekeeping about it and asked if they would spend extra time in the bathroom, as I did not know where the small was coming from. I even left an extra large tip. There was no change in odor for the entire 17 day stay. I eventually figured out it was the material on the wall near the toilet... the best way I could describe it was that it was almost as if a smelly person rubbed up against it. 2. Housekeeping was inconsistent. They never refreshed my coffee or creamers, so I ended up buying a can of folgers, coffee filters, cream and splenda and used that for the remainder of my stay. 3. Some days they put my dishes in the dishwasher, most days they did not. Only once in 17 days did they ever wash the coffee pot.4. Most days there was something missing / incomplete from housekeeping. Examples include, at least once and often repeatedly: washcloths, large towel replacements, shampoo, under sink trash, dishes, coffeeIt felt like almost every day something was not complete. This is the only opportunity during the entire stay but it is one that will stick with me. I hope the overall wonderful staff will take action to correct.
I loved everything about my stay. VERY COOL! Just a WOW experience. The lobby is amazing. Excellent customer service. Room, linens, general upkeep perfect.I loved being able to access the shopping mall without going outside.I never give a hotel this good of a rating! Thats how nice my stay was.
Over all our stay was fine. Check in was quick and easy. Room was clean and comfortable. Rooms are not very quiet. You can hear everything in the hallways and above. For being such a nice, new hotel I thought the sound proofing could be a lot better. Other than that stay was fine.
The front desk staff was very friendly and made for a very easy check-in process. The entire check-in process only took about a minute and 30 seconds, which was greatly appreciate. The lobby is beautifully decorated, along with the guest rooms. One of the best hotel experiences I have ever had.
My husband and I stayed here for NYE with our 3 children and our dog and were very happpy! The hotel is vey well maintained and the rooms were clean and spacious. Perfect for families. We were very impressed by the staff their friendliness and everyone seemed to be working to make sure guests were accommodated. The included breakfast buffet was also great. We will definitely stay here again as it is the halfway point on our long trip from NY to Chicago during the holidays. Only negative was the $75 pet fee that they didn’t mention anywhere when my husband booked through the Marriott app :(
Great staff and check-in. Standard breakfast and not busy. Great room and very modern and clean. Connected to the mall. Plenty of shopping in the area.Cons: sheets and blankets were stained and tattered...housekeeping should check this after each stay. Noise in the outside courtyard should be monitored.
My wife and I spent one night here for our 24th wedding anniversary, and we had an awesome experience. The room was spotless, very up to date and roomy. The check in was the quickest I have ever experienced. The location was fabulous with much to do all around you. The price was very good for what you get. I would highly recommend the Residence inn to all.
I have new stayed here a couple time and it is a top of the line experience every time. Their rooms are nice, big and clean. The provided food is superior to most other hotels. And the back patio area is great for relaxing and has a firepit as well as a basketball court are. The best part about this place is that the staff here are the nicest you will find. Ifv you find yourself in the Niles/Youngstown area, you cannot do any better than staying here!!
Best customer service! The wait staff for breakfast would go out of their way, without us asking, to help and ensure we had what we needed. The front desk was very friendly and inviting. They allowed us to partially service rooms and accommodated our little girls naps! Unfortunately our room had a bad odor from a previous resident but they bent over backwards (again without us pitching a fit) to ensure we were happy with our experience. Top notch!
Incredible hotel. Stayed here for a wedding nearby and was wowed! I nearly forgot I was in Warren OH! Beautiful place with pool, great breakfast, quiet suites with well insulated walls. And very kind front desk staff. Been around the globe and this is the quality you expect to see internationally!
We love this hotel. It is gorgeous and spacious. You are experiencing a level of luxury yet you are not overwhelmed by it. We spent our summer holidays in 5-star hotels. Fairmont hotels. Some of the best in the world. When we come home to Warren, we have gotten used to not having much luxury or comfort or any at all. Weve tried all the hotels in the area and this one fits all our needs. Its comfortable, has a great location, is near the mall when you need a bit of an escape, and everyone is very nice. Over the years, as my kids have grown, they have started to groan every time we tell them that we are heading to Warren to visit family. They just hated staying at the different hotels in the area and as I said - weve been to them all. Tried suites that werent really suites, gotten two adjoining rooms, etc. Only this hotel works for us. Now my kids immediately ask (when told we are going to Warrren for a visit) - we are staying at the Residence Inn, right? I know fairly well when we travel there for visits - so I have most of our upcoming trips booked in advanced already. Its our #1 choice.
We were greeted quickly by the helpful staff. We were running a head of schedule, odd for me, and were still able to get into our room to prepare for the evening events we had in the area. I was too busy for breakfast but my husband said it was wonderful. The room was clean and relaxing. Thank you!
My sofa bed was completely broken. If you sat on it it would cave in. I had asked for connecting rooms when I made my reservation and the person I talked to said they would let them know. Come to find out they don’t have connecting rooms. And they don’t let you know about a 250.00 deposit until time of check in.
Im a platinum member & stay with Marriott all the time. I checked in online 1.5 hours ahead of my arrival. They didnt have my keys or anything else ready. They didnt thank me for my loyalty to the Marriott brand either. Room smelt like mold, shower warm barely luke warm. I wont stay here again.
Weve stayed at the other two hotels nearby on trips to see family in the area. Both are fine and serviceable but we were happy to see the new Residence Inn. The public spaces in the hotel are very nice and of course the brand new rooms (its only been open since May) were really a welcome addition to the community. Wish we had made reservations earlier; we would have enjoyed the privacy of a one-bedroom room (traveling with kids). But still this was a great option and well be back on our next trip to the area.
The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly. The free breakfast was tasty and is served until 9 a.m. on weekdays and 10 p.m. on the weekend. The gym is clean and appears to be sparsely used. It has dumbbells up to 50 lbs and cardio equipment. The location is convenient as its attached to the Eastwood Mall which has a lot of restaurants and shops.
The suite was more than what we could have asked for. We enjoyed being able to have privacy from our son with a bedroom of our own. Our son said the pullout couch was not bad at all. We each had our own TV. The only problem came when we were charged a second time when we checked out. We pre-paid through Travelocity. They charged our debit card for the room again when we checked out. The problem was handled in a matter of a couple days, otherwise it would have been 5 stars!
We have stayed at this Residence Inn twice in the last two months. The beds are very comfortable, rooms spacious, and decor is modern and comfortable. We have stayed in a two bedroom suite both times and love this room because everyone gets their own bed and we have the option of an additional pull out sofa if any of our other children decide to come. Location of this hotel is also very nice - next to a mall and many other shopping and dining areas. Also movie theaters across the street.
Due to an error with our reservation, we returned to the hotel for the second night of our stay to find our belongings waiting at the front desk, packed in plastic garbage bags. The manager told us that *we* made a mistake at the time of our reservation. When we *showed* him that we had called to correct the error, he continued to insist that they had made no mistake. While sorting through our belongings to ensure everything was accounted for, a second manager told us we needed to leave the hotel. They were unwilling to help us find a room at a nearby hotel, leaving me and my wife to haul our screaming 2 year old on a hunt for a room at 9:30 p.m. After finally searching our belongings, we found two items missing. We returned to the hotel the next morning to inform them of our missing property and the manager (the one who asked us to leave) pretended as though she’d never met me and again asked me to leave the hotel. She did take my number and called me back at 6 p.m. to say they didn’t have my belongings. The inability of the staff to show any concern for my family was frustrating. They were more concerned with shirking responsibility and ushering is out of the hotel than resolving the conflict. When your leadership decides that the best solution to an upset (not swearing or yelling) guest is to refuse to help them, that demonstrates that your company has not chosen the right people to manage your properties.
The hotel staff and room were very good. We were only at the hotel for one night while on our way to Chicago. The big problem for us is the location. It is located in a sea of Mall pavement. We love to pull in and walk around outside and get some fresh air. That is the big negative at this location.
The Residence Inn in Warren / Niles area to me is the best place to stay when you are in the area. The rooms and suites are new and have a very nice design layout. This makes our 3rd visit to the area and we always stay here. The rooms are always clean and the beds are very comfortable. The rooms design is amazing to me, they have everything we desire, The design is one of the best Ive been in. The staff is wonderful and pleasant to talk with. The grounds are well kept, there is a very nice outside patio.
Even though there was construction going on outside I soon forgot about it once inside. The lobby was spacious and attractive. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and clean. It is a wonderful place to be especially for extended stays. I really can not say enough good things about the rooms and the staff.
If you appreciate good customer service dont stay here. The Afternoon manager hardly spoke 2 words to me while checking in and then couldnt resolve a problem of extremely loud guests above us, we were kept awake and harassed the entire evening and night, we called and complained 3 times about an obvious party that was happening. After the manager talked (his only words) to them the people were shouting at my 6 year old and I in the elevator. They ran up and down the hallway screaming at our door. Knocked on the door and ran away causing my 91 year old grandmother to get up to answer the door for no reason. There was so much noise my grandmother couldnt sleep. Nothing was ever done and we have yet to receive an apology for this terrible service. They just want your money then you are on your own.
The hotel is very nice, spacious, the staff is very helpful, there are a lot of restaurants on walking distance especially Firebirds, Pirmantis bros etc. Rooms are very clean and new. I stayed in other location of Residence Inn but that was very old. This is a nice property.Keep the good work!!!
My stay couldnt be any more plesent. It was wonderful! Very clean and the price is so reasonable. The staff is very friendly. The pool is clean and kept up with. The breakfast from 6a.m. to 9a.m was delicious! I will be back and I do recommend this hotel to anyone in the area looking for one ! Youll love it.
We had a great experience here. The location is perfect. You dont even have to go outside to get into the mall. So many places to eat in the area. Even a movie theatre. The pool is a little small but wasnt too crowded. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. We are actually going back in July and will choose to stay here again.
This hotel will not disappoint anyone. From the Firepit to the Pool/Spa to the nicely decorated rooms to the most comfortable bed, this hotel is awesome! In addition to all of those perks, it is nicely situated at the mall with loads of restaurant options within walking distance. We cant wait to go back!
The hotel is nice like any other Residence Inn and decently priced. It is nice it is near a mall as I needed to do some quick shopping after having to fly here last minute while I was already on another business trip. Breakfast is the typical Residence Inn food as well. However, in my travels, I have found that certain Residence Inns have actual kitchens where they make their eggs vs heating a large plastic bag of pre-made scrambled eggs. This is the later. So my only gripe about this hotel is the incompetency of the front desk staff and after reading some of the reviews on hotels page on marriott.com I am surprised that my experience is not unique. I found 2 or 3 other reviews on the first page alone that expressed similar experiences as mine. The Bad:1. I was flying in late on a last minute trip on Thursday evening (Thur-Sun reservation). I called a head to the hotel telling them that I will be arriving REALLY late because after I land I have to work through the night and probably wont check in till later in the morning on Friday. I still understood that I still need to pay for the Thur-Fri stay. I told them to PLEASE NOT CANCEL or GIVE AWAY my reservation as I have had that done to be before at other properties. They acknowledged. I checked in on Friday morning at 630am (not knowing of their no show after 6am the following day policy) after working all night and coming off a 24 hour work day. Needless to say, I was tired. I waited nearly 15 minutes while the front desk agent was clacking away at the keyboard. He did not even acknowledge me or say Ill be right with you until I started to hint at my impatience. He continued to clack away at the keyboard staring at the screen with earnest intent. I have no idea what he was working on but there was no one else around, no other customers checking in, no one. It was 630am. He finally checked me in and I went to sleep for a few hours.2. I get a call Saturday afternoon after my 2nd night of all night work while I was sleeping. It was the front desk asking if I needed late check out stating I was supposed to check out on Saturday according to my reservation. I initially thought that I had not reserved the proper amount of night so I just said for them to extend my stay as I needed to stay until Sunday and I went back to sleep. Come to find out after I checked out on Sunday that I actually did reserve enough nights (using points). I checked my Marriott account and they had charged m
When our training group had over 2 dozen of our training professionals stay at this location, Cora the breakfast manager was terrific! She cared for us like we were valued family members from out of town. She shared with us what was on the menu for the day and welcomed us warmly each morning. She was special and deserves a BIG RAISE!
During my checkin I was not told that there was a problem of no hot water. That evening after experiencing cold water only and no hot water I called the front desk to complain. I was told that there was a hot water heater that was not working. I asked to be moved to a different room but was told that my request could not be accommodated. The next day upon checkout I complained about not having water and that I was a very dissatisfied customer and asked to be compensated for the lack of hot water and the refusal to move me to a different room. The front desk clerk spoke to her manager and she stated that he approved that compensation would be an additional night stay of reward points. However, just as there was no hot water, no additional points have been added to my reward account. Very, disappointed and dissatisfied with my stay at the Residence Inn Youngstown Warren/Niles.
I Blocked rooms for my wedding 7 months in advance, and everyone had made their reservations. I got a call a WEEK before my wedding telling me they had moved me, along with my traveling guests, to another hotel without explaining why. This would not have been a big problem if number they had told me BEFORE spending $200 on a special invite card that gave information and directions of the hotel and if the hotel they had moved us to wasn’t an hour away from where my venue is. It was also a total inconvenience for family member traveling from other states, not to mention the extra costs. Very disappointed to say the least. If anything, my rooms at the new location should’ve been payed fo by them due to the inconvenience. I have never dealt with such unprofessional people.
Stayed while in town for a few days the week before my nieces wedding to help out with last minute preparations. The location was convenient, the staff friendly, and the suite was all I could ask for: clean and spacious, with generous workspaces. And the shower looked like something from HGTV! I would not hesitate to stay there again.
The studio suite at this location looks like a really nice Manhattan apartment. The bathroom has a contemporary barrier free shower and wonderful lighting. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and is served near the lobby, where they provide multiple seating areas that are private and have a TV.
Very pleased with suite, breakfast, and location. Very disappointed in their attempt to charge twice for the room. We pre-paid through a booking agency online. Then after checkout they tried to charge us again for the room. Would have been a 5 had they not tried to take our money.
If youre in the Youngstown/Warren, Ohio area for Business or Leisure and desire a great place to stay this is the hotel for you. The staff will always greet you with a smile and go out of their way to ensure you are treated as their family. I have depended on this hotel for all my needs and each time was NEVER let down. You can trust that your stay with them will be a value added experience whatever to nature of your visit.
Abby was absolutely amazing. I got sick the evening of my stay and she took it upon herself to bring me an extra blanket and warm cupOf soup. She even called her family to try to locate a thermometer for them to bring to the hotel for me. She was genuinely concerned about me and wanted to help. I have never experienced such hospitality. I willVisit again purely just because of this employee.
Clean and the clean crew was cutious but the staff and management treated me the 4 days I stayed with my SERVICE DOG 🐕 like we had the plague. They werent nice to us at all. I was to stay 3 more days but I cut our stay short. Other guests with dogs told me that they were treated better than I and were told they could do the very things I was forbidden. Therefore I may have been singled out. I was paying for a large room with a kitchen. Im a senior.I was stopped by the management several times including in the lobby only to be humiliated and lectured about the fact that I had my little dauchound dog. Now when I first got there my pup was NOT a service dog. But after the management said she had to be a SERVICE DOG I went my room and got on my computer and paid $99 to go through the gruelling questions to get my pup certified. But that still wasn’t good enough. Not for MARIOTT. I feel I was shamed humiliated embarrassed by your Hotel staff.I had my own business and treated my customers with dignity and respect. If I didn’t I wouldn’t have survived. I’m disabled and a senior with a service dog. I should have been treated with dignity and respect.I spent my time in the Hamtons Hilton the last time for 6 days and was treated with both respect and dignity with my pup. I didn’t have not one problem. I told my insurance company to please do not send me to your Hotel. This was the Adjuster at Progressive.Oh and by the way I actually I wanted to leave Sunday but I left Tuesday morning. And let me tell you it was very difficult staying there. I hated it. Therefore it was such a releaf when we left.I don’t want to forget that I consistently asked for a first floor room near an exit but since I was put in a disabled 3 floor room. But it was a terribly long walk for me as I have bad lungs a bad back and other issues. So I needed for my 11 year old pup to be closer to the outdoors. My insurance told me I would be in the first floor but when we arrived at your Hotel the Desk Person quoted in an arrogant way that my insurance can’t tell them what to do. I was stund to say the least. I mean how rude.So before I give you the dates I just want to say that you do have a lovely Hotel but you need to train your Staff to understand that customers put the roof over their head food in their mouth and clothes on their backs. That may be old fashion to you but it’s true and life to me and the basics that maybe they need to be told. Actually I feel I was targeted. The only reason I’m writing you this letter is because I’ve been told, even by total strangers, that I should let you know that this happened to me. That it’s important to your company for you to know how your employees treat people. I know if I had employees I’d want to know. These are the dates; June 29- July 3 But I was scheduled to stay and paid to stay until July the 5th.But I told the adjuster I had to leave because I just couldn’t take it.Yours,Virginia Parker
Love the hotel but the afternoon employee was lost with our reservation and room. We are Silver members and reserved a bottom floor 2 bedroom with a view and were given the 4th floor 2 bedroom looking at the top of the mall but it was taken care of the next day except we had to stay in a handicap room where everything was small
Breakfast was great. staff friendly. if you are not handicap stay out of a handicap room.,or you will be handicapped in the room. if you end up in a handicap room be Sur to bring your own mirror so you can see how things look on you.the only mirror was above the sink. you need to be in a wheelchair to see your face in the mirror.
As stated earlier in this review, this is absolutely the HOTEL ROLE MODEL for all hotels out there. The people, atmosphere, helpfulness, friendliness, personalities, caring ways, smiles, attitude, willingness to get to know their customers and their needs, cleanliness inside and out, appearance, overall upkeep and security were top notch and a breath of fresh air. The absolute details that keep people happy and coming back.
The Residence Inn at Youngstown, Ohio is a fine example of how an Inn should be run. The check in staff were friendly and welcoming. The staff at breakfast were happy and cheerful and made us feel at home. Rooms were very clean and the lady who ran Housekeeping couldnt do more for us. This was one of the best nights sleep Ive had in a long time.
I would recommend staying at the Residence In whenever visiting the Niles area. The location is amazing and the staff will make sure you feel at home! I had a conversation in the pool area with a couple that was visiting for the first time and a business woman staying for 4 months! We all were amazed and could not wait to stay again. My daughter even tried to stay an extra night!!!
My flight was cancelled and I had contacted the hotel to tell them that Id be checking in Tues rather than Mon. At check-in on Tues evening I was told that they were expecting me on Wed and that they were sold out for the night. Beverly at the front desk found a room that had been vacated but not cleaned yet. She said shed find someone to turn the room, sent me off to dinner and called me on my cell when it was ready. In my opinion, both Beverly and the manager on duty Tues Mar 24th who actually cleaned my room are rockstars. Please let them both know (as I dont know the managers name) that I greatly appreciate what they did in order to get me in. Marriott is lucky to have them -
The Residence Inn in Niles is top tier. Friendly staff, clean, modern, and adjacent to mall shopping, restaurants, and a movie theater.Rooms are very modern and kept very clean. Quiet. Amenity upkeep is incredible. Pool area, fitness center, lobby, and courtyard are spotless.Would recommend staying at this hotel to anyone looking for a worry-free visit, especially for extended stays.
Like I said earlier, the only complaint I would have was the heat of the shower. That was easy to overcome, due to the positivity of the staff, and everyone that worked there. The were the best group as a hole. Everyone there was just great. I dont know where they get there up beat abilitly but keep it up. Best experience of mine in my 20 years of doing business.
My mother and I came to Youngstown for a wedding and at the lsst minute decided to spend the night rather than start our drive back to Cincinnati. I made a call and reserved the room and the receptionist was very accommodating. We woke the next day to the complimentary breakfast that was a great way to gas up for our ride home. That said, our stay was a wonderful end to a fantastic wedding!
I recently needed to accommodate a Pastor who needed to come in at the passing of one of the local Bishop. No only was the location close but the accommodation provided everything that he needed to stay and be able to attended the service that he flew in to attend. I rate the Hotel 5 star - Excellence!
We were visiting family and will definitely be going back to Residence Inn of Youngstown Warren/Niles again... There are parts of the property still under construction but it had no effect on our stay. It was a great stay from start to finish.. the staff were all great, especially Liza who helped make it all happen from our first call to check-in. Rooms were great! Like home. Big thanks to all of you at Residence Inn- Youngtown Warren/Niles. See you soon!
This hotel is an excellent choice regardless of your reason. Clean, spacious room, attention to the smallest details for guests, friendly staff. Hotel Sr rounded by every store and restaurant imaginable, including a movie theater. Would welcome any opportunity to go back.
What a pity that what could have been an AWESOME VISIT was just so so due to the front desk. How sad the housekeeping service and breakfast staff paid more attention to us then front desk. I was even talked down to by the front desk when I asked for ice! It was implied I didnt operate the ice maker correctly or it was broken and why didnt I report it. The front desk couldnt even say good morning or good night!!

2022-03-02Room was clean and service was great! But they need to enforce the rules for the pool and hot tub. Went down to relax in the hot tub and teenagers were playing football in the pool.. could not even hear myself think!!! Should have adult only time from 10 to 11PM

2022-04-29Updated modern hotel with a nice lobby, large rooms and attached to a mall. Our kids enjoyed the pool and the staff were very courteous, helpful and customer oriented.

2021-10-17Our Marriot stays have generally been excellent. This was was a bit disappointing. First, it was quite difficult to find off of the main road at night. We were using both a Garmin GPS and google maps. Once we found it, simply getting in the bldg proved to be another challenge. There was staff at the main desk, but the door was locked and we ended up calling the operator of Marriot. Once we got in, the ppl at the desk were very nice and informative. When we got to our suite, it was clear that the cleaning service hadnt looked at what was inside the tissue box. I dont want to be too graphic, but it was concerning in regards to how thoroughly the rest of the room was cleaned. Despite that, we were tired and slept well on very comfortable beds and pillows. Check-out was a breeze.

2021-10-14This venue was perfect for our small family wedding! The staff was outstanding and the facilities were perfect. The breakfast area had something for everyone and we had plenty of room to enjoy our time together. I highly recommend this location, anything you need is just a few steps away in the Eastwood Mall.

2021-12-26I didnt actually get to stay in the hotel because my trip was canceled due to covid. So I cant rate the room. But im giving a low rating because my customer service experience was poor. I canceled my reservation 3 weeks ahead of time but it never showed a refund on my credit card statement. So I called there and the guy said to me there its refunded n hung up on me!

2021-09-12The customer service is stellar. Danielle at the front desk goes above and beyond in assisting with reservations and accommodating our business needs. The breakfast crew (Gaye and Gayle) kept everything well stocked, were friendly/professional and made sure we had a perfect breakfast experience. Keep up the great work, ladies. You are appreciated.

2021-07-16The space is great, room is comfortable. The reason Im giving this low rating is the cleanness/ smell. I travel often with my small dog and stay at hotels that allows pets. Usually they pet fees are less than the $75 I was charged, and that fee usually includes some sort of pet toy/treat/ bowl, but most importantly, a clean hotel that smells fresh. From the moment I walked into the hotel lobby I could notice the strong smell of wet dog combined with dog urine. I was hoping the bedroom would be better, but it was worse. Although visually the property and bedroom looked clean, the smell was just terrible and bothered me throughout my entire stay. I mentioned it to the front desk (to different people) and to not say they were fully dismissive, they gave me a small smile and said they would mention to house keeping (they didnt seem over concerned about it). This is just NOT Marriott standard. I would definitely not recommend nor I would stay there again. Just the week before I stayed at a wyndham property for half the cost of hotel and pet fee, and the place was super clean/ smelled fresh (even though it also allowed pets) - so cleaning products that can handle all the pet traffic through the hotel exists, its just not being used at the property.

2022-04-02I love this place, and the fact that you have access to the mall without going outside. Every single time Ive stayed here though, there are ALWAYS people acting like fools in the pool area.
