If I can give this establishment negative stars I would. The disconnect/attitude in customer service was disheartening after a person committed FRAUD on my Marriott account. They proceeded to let that person stay at their establishment under my alias, without my consent. I am outraged on how they dont check ID especially MASK MANDATES is being lifted. The people need to train on customer service and EMPATHY for the victims of fraud. Provided with the response from front desk oh wow or management will be on monday. They literally let the person checkout this morning how unprofessional is this establishment. Worst place to ever stay at and I stayed in hundreds of hotels, but I never been to establishment that doesnt check ID. At this point legal actions may have to be taken to ensure the safety and protection of myself & other BONVOY consumers. Marriott should look into a new staff.
The staff at the hotel was so sweet and friendly with a good morning or hello how is your stay going around every corner. You could tell they were genuine and loved the job that they were doing. We have stayed at many Marriott hotels and this was by far one of the greats! They left a bottle of wine in our room for my husbands birthday which was above and beyond. I thank the staff for a wonderful stay!! Oh and the pool was amazing !! So clean and just what the doctor ordered!
Staff was exceptional, especially Venus. Everything was really clean ! Outdoor pool was warm and clean. Only bad thing is they didn’t clean our room in between nights, but that was ok. They were very accommodating taking the trash and getting us towels, when needed ! The staff was better than anywhere I’ve ever stayed. They were extremely nice and fun. Highly recommend this hotel, especially for the pool and outdoor seating area.
Stayed six nights in a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom suite. Second stay in same suite - though limited improvements since our last stay. Fast check-in, took all the Covid precautions. Suite did not show any special precautions for Covid though.Kitchen - everything fine here, but the cabinets need thorough cleaning - doors/drawers felt greasy to the touch. Otherwise, full fridge, microwave, stove-top and dishwasher great. Hotel should leave more supplies - since one dishwasher tab is not enough for six nights.Breakfast - dont bother. Last visit we got a bag with water, yogurt and a danish (April 2020). This visit (June 2021) was a hot breakfast of scrambled eggs and some type of vegetable hash - I could not tell, so I did not take. Otherwise, cereal, yogurt, some breads, juice and coffee.2 bathrooms and 3 televisions good for family of four with 2 teenagers.Room was clean, but need more thorough cleaning and attention to detail. Vents had black spots around from blowing AC/Heat out the vent. I imagine the ducts are pretty dirty. We didnt use the gym, pool, or open area around pool, but they looked clean and inviting.
Hotel staff excellent...I just so happened to book this valentines day weekend....big big mistake there so many teenagers to young adults literally enjoying there stay in the hallways being loud and careless and clearly intoxocated....couldnt even sleep thw whole night just up listening to the chatter and laughter literally at my door😫😫🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️...I told the staff and their excuse was Its Valentines Day weekend...and I believe her make friend was chilling ar the desk literally drinking a bottle of wine out the bottle...just horrible !!!
I highly recommend this hotel. The room was spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and had a well-appointed kitchen. Everything we needed was provided. I liked the layout of our room and felt like there was quite a bit of walk around space as well as a nice large couch to lounge on. We spent more time in the room than we normally do when we are traveling, and I was happy that the room was this comfortable. We will stay in this hotel for every visit in the future!
Very much enjoyed our stay at the Residence in Cleveland (Beachwood). The suites were roomy and clean. The entire establishment is very well kept. The staff is very friendly, many of them long term employees, always smiling, always a warm greeting. The hotel is located in an upscale business area, bordered by some beautiful neighborhoods, with lots to see and do nearby. Lake Erie and downtown Cleveland are a short 20 couple minutes away, with lots of cool places in between.
I highly recommend this Residence Inn facility as the rooms are always well kept, the overall hotel is clean and the staff have always been friendly and courteous. The other hidden gem with staying here which always draws me back is the back is that with each day of your stay, you can get a free pass front the front desk to attend the local Lifetime Fitness facility that is only a 1/2 mile away. Having access to a fitness center with so many amenities adds a great appeal to staying here for myself.
This is a very nice Residence Inn. I’m in Cleveland on a job, and find the Inn to be situated well in relation to the job and places I need to go. The housekeeping staff is great… my room is clean and neat on cleaning days. I had an accident while here which required me to wear a stiff boot and use crutches. No problem with room access, etc. but my biggest worry was grocery shopping… wasn’t sure how I’d be able to handle it. But the Residence Inn offers free grocery shopping! I just give them a list in the morning and when I get back to the hotel the groceries are in my room. Wonderful!
Venus at the desk was great. She was friendly and very helpful. Knowing your infrequent cleaning due to covid, it might make sense to offer a guest like me, scheduled to stay over a week, some special prearranged room cleaning day. I generally did not want to be disturbed but could have used a good cleaning once. Also, your dishes were not fully clean. Your shelf in the bathroom by the sink was falling out of the wall. Both my brother and my sister in their respective rooms said their same shelf at the bathroom sink was also falling out. Your laundry machines were dirty and old and should be replaced. One night I had late night noisy upstairs neighbors, called the desk to complain, nothing seemed to happened to address this.Your clothes iron did not get fullyhot and spit water. I had to ask for a new one. I cut the cord to ensure it was going to be put back in service.Your toaster only toasted on one side of the toast. I had to ask for a new one. I cut the cord to ensure it was going to be put back in service.
This property has depreciated markedly since we last stayed there for 40+ nights for the time period December, 2017 thru February, 2018. During that time period, we were being put up there by our homeowners insurance company due to a flood in our home.Morning and evening complimentary food services have been scaled back dramatically in terms of quality and quantity of offerings. Please note that the food trays that were available for carrying food back to your room have been reduced in size by approximately 30 percent (please refer to photos).Overall property cleanliness/upkeep has also deteriorated dramatically. Due to absurdly small trash containers inside of rooms, guests frequently place overflow items in hallways and outside of trash containers near exit doors (see photos). Because this is a non-smoking property, guests smoke outside and leave cigarette butts in overflowing ash/butts collectors near the exit doors (see photos, many appear not to have been emptied out in weeks). My wife and I spent nearly $400.00 on a three night stay.... NO WAY was this traditional Marriott quality that we were expecting.
This hotel is very nice nasty it is dirty the furniture is dirty the carpets are extremely dirty. My room has urine all over the toilet and one of my beds was broken almost to the floor broken. The doors an walls are so nasty like they never clean them properly they need to get rid of the cleaning staff or train them better this place is too expensive to be this filthy.
They didn’t listen to any request. I do understand that all request aren’t guaranteed but to not do anything. I asked for a high floor, extra towels, and extra pillows nothing crazy. Room was freezing hours after maintenance came and tinkered around and it actually got colder! Finally at midnight we were moved(still not on a high floor). But to another cold room on the first floor. The floor was loud, smelled like smoke, and was cold. Ruined the whole evening/night we ended up checking out early because we couldn’t get any heat in the middle of winter not what I was looking for! Then when I informed the front desk attendant at checkout of the night his response was basically I should be happy because my account was credited for the inconvenience. Which was highly offensive because if it was about not being able to afford the room I would’ve stayed at home. I don’t mind paying for quality and that wasn’t worth the money however much.
The check in is at 4pm. My room wasnt ready until about 5:15-5:30pm. The staff wasnt that concerned about it and just made excuses about how busy they were busy and fully booked and one member had an attitude like she was put out by us asking if our room was ready after the check in time. The next day when we checked out on time (at 11am), my kids were getting changed in the pool area and the same woman with an attitude the day before, came by and told us we had to get out as we checked out and we need to leave the pool (no one else was at the pool). I said, my kids were changing and she told us we needed to get out of the area and wait for them outside of the pool gates. I reminded her that she / the hotel checked us in 90min late and my kids were changing In the bathroom and then we were leaving and she said there are rules and regulations here and you should take your issues up from yesterday with the manager and that has nothing to do with today. Then she kept saying “ma’am, did you need me, did you hear me?” This was definitely bad enough to deter me from not staying at Marriotts moving forward. That is how bad the service was. Basic common courtesy was not expressed.
I was there for a sleep study, so not sure how the rooms and staff are outside of the sleep study but, it was really nice. The room was spacious enough and very clean. The sleep study nurse was amazing!!! I had a very embarrassing moment and, she went with the flow making me feel as if she was one of the girls. I was so nervous about the whole situation but, after talking with her...I was at ease! Im happy I chose doctor Eric Yeh for my sleeping issues!
Though the manager was helpful, there were many issues. Broken toilet upon arrival with trash in the bowl, no dish soap in the kitchenette, promised a “crib” but a pack n play was there instead (which was terribly bumpy with bars under pad felt. Baby could not sleep in it), asked for towels and notepad but was responded with a rude tone. Dude. You’re working at a hotel and a guest needs towels. What else are you going to do?
Very disappointed. Dirty, aged and full of bugs. The dirt markings out of the ac vents is a sign of lack of maintenance. There were small roaches on the ceiling and when I sat on the couch I was bitten multiple times by some kind of bug. Then i started inspecting the unit and saw multiple bugs on the walls. I left and did not sleep in the unit although we paid for it.
This was a nice place to stay. The lady at check in was awesome. The breakfast was a mess. The lady could not keep up with the unruly kids there. There was food on the counter and floor. Kids were touching everything. We played it safe and ate some oatmeal. When one kid sneezed all over the hot beverage station, we left! We did have to look for housekeeping to get fresh linens for next day.
This could not have been a better experience. Everything went right and nothing went wrong. Check in was a breeze, the front desk team was friendly and personable. The room was exactly what I would expect from Marriott, very comfortable with plenty of space. The living room sofa looked like it might be ready for an update, but it was still in very good shape. No tears or anything and still pretty comfortable. I loved the bathroom mirror, very bright! Also, the shower in the master bedroom was extremely nice. You dont see that very often in a hotel and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. Every morning the breakfast was hot and tasty with a great selection of hot and cold items to choose from. Housekeeping was attentive and thorough. Everything was spot on!
I stayed for a surgery recovery and needed a place with more living space and a kitchen. I was happy there was a pool, being that it was June. Provided a nice escape from being indoors. The hotel overall is pretty well maintained. The room was sort of falling apart but it didn’t cause too much trouble. Overall, hospitality was average, space was average. I didn’t feel I overpaid though. So for the price, it was not much less that I would expect. Decent place if you’re looking in this location. Don’t expect a 5 star hotel. That’s not what I expected either.
This hotel is very well-kept, very clean, great service and nice rooms. Atmosphere is very comfortable cozy with a place to sit in the lobby with TVs. You can sit in the sitting area with drinks or food comfortably. The decor is very nice . They have a self-serving breakfast that is complementary to the guest. I had scrambled eggs biscuits topped with sausage gravy, grapes yogurt bananas French toast, with cranberry juice. The food was very delicious.
10 star for friendly staff and clean perfect room, comfortable bed lots of extra pillows, I requested. It is nice to have kitchen with large fridge, dishwasher and cook top. Plus its fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, measuring cup, colander, dishes, toaster, coffee maker. My room had a walk in shower not tub. That i requested. Love the couch with lounge side. There is also a office desk with swivel chair. And a table with two chairs next to kitchen. The C shaped table fit perfect anywhere you like over couch as drink holder or additional eating table. I turned the TV facing the couch had window curtains open to watch the many season changes that literally rotated daily in April.80s Sunny to Rain, Wind, Snow, back to Sun again. Hertz rental walking distance across the street at Hilton. PF Changs and a Steak House also walking distance and Gas Groc/Mart. Further walk would be Trader Joes, CVS, and ETON mall. Lastly whoever thinks top floors are more quiet? I will share i was first floor near front desk and it was extremely quiet, or else walls have soundproof in them? My door was easy to open which I was concerned about since I needed this room for post surgery recovery. I highly recommend this hotel. I have no complaints.
I enjoyed my one night stay for my birthday ! I was excited because I’ve had the breakfast here& it was better than a couple of area hotels. My partner has a strict diet& unfortunately didn’t find something he could eat or was to his satisfaction. However, overall our experience was very positive with everything!
Overall the hotel is fairly modern and up to date. Needs a little work but in pretty good condition. Pool was closed but the outdoor area was comfortable. The lobby and dining area was very nice and inviting. Some kids running around but no real screaming or issues. As always - elevator could be a bit faster. My room was always clean and ready when I got back for the day.It is a bit tough to get back to the main road to do a right - you have go around a SHORT block to get to the next light.
My stay at this Residence Inn was a great experience. I was staying here for three weeks for a business trip and couldnt ask for much better. The service from the staff was great and the rooms/hotel were very clean and well maintained. The only complaints I have are that the breakfast could have been 100% better than it was. Also, when given the option to choose what days I get room service they give you the option to pick overnight shift but fail to tell you that there is no housekeeping overnight. This requires me to make myself lose out on much needed sleep so that they can clean my room or it will never get done which was my problem for two weeks. All in all a great hotel but can make sure they communicate with their GUESTS better at checkin. Or even better, revise your housekeeping form so that you cant select a shift that you do not staff.
Stayed for 5 nights with large family in a 2 bedroom suite. Location was great and centrally located. Room was clean but a little outdated. Bathroom doors were warped and would not close without extra effort. Staff was friendly and responded quickly when needed. Would definitely stay here again.
We loved staying here. We had a lot of room. Full kitchen was great to have. Staff is wonderful. They know how to handle Dr. Feng patients and even offer suggestions on how to get comfortable in bed, bring ice to your room etc. Last year I spent 50 nights in a hotel room. With the discount I was spending what I spent for a regular 2 bed room, where here it was a 2 bedroom suite and full kitchen.
Staff were nice. As soon as I walked in the room smell of mold was very strong. Carpet was smelly and you can see dirt net to the vents of the AC on the walls.Bed was very uncomfortable, it was concaved down like your sleeping in a bowl. Will never go to that location again!!!!!
We have stayed at a few other locations of a residence inn but overall this was probably the nicest one so far. Room was very clean! Which we loved! They are currently under going construction but honestly aside from a walk way being closed off and the front desk being moved temporarily we wouldve never known. They were able to maintain customer friendly cleanliness. It was quiet in our room which we Also appreciated! Breakfast was good! A typical continental but must say their bagels were extra delicious. The new rooms are very clean and modern. If ever back in the area we would def. stay here again and would look forward to seeing the the final project completed. Only complaint was the bed was a bit too hard for my liking. But wouldnt stop me from going back
The young lady at check-in was very nice! I appreciate her warm and welcoming greeting. My room was nice. Clean. Bed was very comfortable. Had a little trouble with the thermostat and the t.v picture quality was mehhh. Overall, I will be returning. The total cost was very reasonable!
We stayed with our daughters softball team. From the time we walked it, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and very accommodating. The room was clean, bright, and very comfortable. The kids played in the pool, basketball courts and the outdoor seating area was exceptional. Lastly, the staff was accommodating to our team schedule, setting our breakfast 30 minutes early in order for our team to have breakfast before heading out to the game, which was extremely helpful. Everyone there was very nice. We would stay there again.
This was my second visit to the Residence Inn Cleveland Beachwood and it was just as wonderful as my first. The staff was warm, friendly and welcoming, especially the front desk representative. The room was spacious and quite comfortable. The bed, in particular, was amazing and allowed for a restful sleep. The shower was great with excellent water pressure. The complimentary breakfast was an added amenity. There was a nice variety of foods, even for the most discriminating individual. The breakfast room staff was very pleasant, helpful and quite accommodating. The location of the hotel could not be better. Its proximity to I 270 and the major roads about the eastern suburbs of the city are yet another nice feature of this hotel.I will certainly stay here again on my next visit to Cleveland.
I generally hate staying in hotels (if its not for a luxury vacation), but I LOVE staying here! The staff is outstanding, they are so helpful and friendly. Rooms are comfy, clean, spacious, and well equipped. The included daily breakfast is pretty good, and free snacks/drinks on Mon-Tue-Wed is great. But overall, the people who work here go above and beyond to make this a home away from home and I appreciate it a lot!
We rented the two bedroom suite with full kitchen a day before and 4 days after surgery. It was the best place to recover! The room was cozy and spacious. I didn’t feel couped up even being in the room for days. The complimentary breakfast options were great. This hotel was close to lots of restaurants and shopping.
My wife and I stayed out there on Friday night for my daughter surgery and there was only a couple things that weren’t good like the Front desk lady obviously knew a little girl that was at the pool with her mother because they have wristbands and every time the wristband color change the little girl was still out there and got a new wristband but yet when we asked for more time they said they were full. Also my wife had an incident with the spoon cutting her tongue and they didn’t compensate us in anyway or even offer it and her tongue had a cut in it and now it is even more swollen and she had to go to the ER and get antibiotics.
We have stayed in this hotel for 4 years. Every year we come and see how this hotel is improving, renovating its property, and welcoming guests. This time we stayed on points, which was nice. Our spacious room, # 203, was clean but smelly with mold. We did not report this problem, it was minor. The major problem was the pillows- my husband compared sleeping on them with sleeping on the pumpkins. We told Ray, the manager, and he explained it to us that every three years Marriott completely changes its pillows to keep them fresh. They have just changed theirs; but the new pillows are huge, puffy and uncomfortable! Fortunately, the housekeeping found a couple of old pillows for us. They were just fine and soft. The sleep quality would have been better with those, traditional ones. The breakfast was sufficient and fresh: eggs, sausages, potatoes, milk, fresh fruit and breakfast breads. The pool was excellent! It is a small but well kept, clean swimming pool with towels complimentary provided by the hotel. One remark; we noticed that one day the clean towels were in the right box, and the dirty ones-in the left. The following day the clean towels were placed in the dirty left box, and the dirty ones- in the right. No one cared to clean the boxes with Clorox, or to keep the placement consistent. This should be addressed by the management.Wi-Fi- excellent speed.Lobby- clean and modern.Staff- welcoming, supportive, and hard working.Check-out- easy.My 12 y.o. daughter forgot her pink T-shirt, called the hotel the following day, and received it promptly on our way to the airport two days later. In addition, she got a small kids plastic necklace, which she immediately put on her neck and smiled. She pulled her iPhone, dialed the front desk number and said, Thank you for everything! In conclusion, I would say that the management of this hotel is doing things right. We are looking forward to coming back.
There for a seminar. Everything was fine except the price of snacks. I understand they would be higher at a hotel but these prices were extremely high. Clean bathroom and clean meeting room. Employees were a little too loud as they were leaving, or I assume they were leaving. The lady at the front desk was polite.
I reserved this hotel as I needed 2 bedrooms at a reasonable rate. The hotel exterior is very dated. The lobby seemed updated, but I did not spend much time there. The room was clean and in relatively good repair. The finishes and furnishings are very dated. Kitchen cupboards, other cabinets, and dressers show quite a bit of wear. The fitness center is very small, with 3-4 cardio machines and some dumbbells. If there was other equipment, I dont recall what it was.
The biggest downfall was the mattress was like sleeping on a hardwood floor. Asked staff if they had a mattress pad or something to attempt to soften the mattress, but no go. As such, did not get a decent nights rest. The furniture was outdated and also very uncomfortable. The bathroom shower is also very tight. In regards to the complementary breakfast, food is decent, but one morning I had to wait 12 minutes to get my first cup o joe while they brewed it. Not good! On the positive side, the rooms were very clean, quiet and all the appliances and faucets were functional.
The hotel was nice. The room was clean and and comfortable. The bathroom felt a little dated. The breakfast was good, especially for a free all you can eat. Waffle maker and the standard continental items. Coffee available all day. Guests can use the Lifetime Fitness nearby.
The manager was super nice! We received an upgrade to a sweet, which was not solicited. When we arrived we thanked her foe the upgrade and mentioned that it was a pleasent suprise since we were on an impromptu babymoon! She walked us around the main floor for a quick tour of the facilities and then gave us the most sincere hug and congratulations on our pregnancy! She really made for a great experience! Our room was nice enough, but obviously in older condition. We were not complaining though! Still clean!
We were in town for our grandsons football game at Notre Dame College. We were only there one night, but on our next trip we would not hesitate to stay here again for a longer time. The hotel is easily found in an area with many restaurants to choose from. Breakfast was good and the hotel even provided trays and take-out containers which made carrying to the room very convenient. The room was spacious and had all the amenities to make the stay pleasant. The room was very quiet and the staff was friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this hotel.
Loved 2 bedroom suite. Great that the room had 2 bathrooms. Made for ease for the family to spread out and get ready in a timely fashion. Close to places of interest. Breakfast was awesome and offered options for the whole family. Friendly staff and great amenities including a pool and basketball court that our sons loved using.
Rooms a spacious enough, you get the standard offering for a residence inn, suite style room. The sink area is attached to the bedroom with no door, enclosed bathroom. There is a pool when in season and a small gym. Breakfast options exceeded my expectations, and are included. Dinner is served as well on certain days of the week with drinks. Happy with my extended stay there.
The suite was perfect. One bedroom for my elderly mom, one for my wife and I. Far enough for each to have their personal space yet right there if she needed something. The living room and kitchen was just an added bonus. The entire staff was amazing but a special kudos to the fine lady who runs the breakfast. Forgive me, I have forgotten her name. Shes the best. She sat with my mom to talk and calm her down about my dads surgery and hospital stay. Simply unbelievable the way she goes above and beyond. Food was good and fresh as well. I can not think of one thing that could have been better. Thank you and keep up the great work!
Our family stayed at the Residence Inn Cleveland Beachwood on the way back from a vacation. We arrived after being on the road for 12 hours. There was an issue with the computer system which delayed our check in by 5-10 minutes. We received an upgrade to our rooms and a complimentary bottle of wine for the trouble. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Rooms were clean, spacious and beds were very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.
This staff has gone over and above, in every area . From top to bottom. You have a friend when you stay here. The girls who help keep the rooms cleans go out of their way to accommodate your needs. The people who provide the breakfast do an outstanding job. The front desk have been super helpful from making sure we are comfortable with our stay and have gone out of their way to make us feel at home.
Minus small issues with kitchen ware, that should have been replaced, my stay was mostly satisfactory. The rooms are clean and tidy. The beds are very comfortable. The fitness center is on the small side but has adequate equipment for cardio and some light lifting (dumb bells up to 45lbs, an adjustable bench, individual floor mat, and a large yoga ball). The fitness center equipment is modern and in great working condition. The laundry room could use more attention. The overall cleanliness of the laundry room was ok but the machines are obviously not cleaned on a daily or even weekly basis. More attention should be given to maintaining cleanliness inside of the machines. The hot breakfast was great. Simple hot breakfast items plus cereals and fresh fruits.
Stayed overnight on a cross country trip. Staff is amazing - fun and genuinely friendly. Property appears recently renovated. Rooms are okay - but they missed the mark with some finishings. Kitchen cabinets look original and flimsy. They need a good cleaning. Rooms and especially hallways could be cleaner. Breakfast is fabulous. Only major gripe is $100 per charge per stay. A bargain if you are staying long term - but for an overnight is pretty excessive. Dog friendly but at a hefty price.
The Residence Inn Beachwood was a perfect stop for my family while on a family driving vacation. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and warm. We were greeted with a smile at check in as well as morning conversations. The room was extremely clean and spacious. The comfortable room helped us unwind after 7 hours in a car. The bed was comfortable and everything felt new in the room.
The hotel and staff were very nice. Very convenient to area. The breakfast was good with the exception of the scrambled eggs. We were unable to enjoy the outside amenities as it snowed but they have a lot outside. The only issue I noted was the room floors were not the cleanest. I would recommend otherwise.
The room was clean as well as the property. I have nothing against pet owners, however, several guests had their dogs in their room. One guest had two dogs in his room and the dogs were as large as a six year old child. I prefer to stay at a hotel that does not allow pets. Again nothing against pets, just prefer not to stay in a room that has previously been occupied for days with pets.
My family and I enjoyed the spacious lobby and rooms. We were there for a family reunion and stayed in the studio suites along with the 1 and 2 bedroom suites and all of them met and exceeded our expectations. The hotel is kid and pet friendly and some of our kids and family will return.
Overall I had a great experince here. Jasmine at the front desk was awesome. Anytine I had a concern or issue she was readily available to assist. I had a few minor issues with my room (no tv remote initially, low battery on AC unit) but when I addtessed these issues, staff quickly resolved them. Overall a very enjoyable experience.
Check-in was smooth and quick. Renovated lobby looks nice. HBO Go being included in the stay was awesome. My only complaints had to do with the rooms, specifically the toilet and the vacuuming of the carpet in the room. The toilet sometimes would have trouble flushing properly (where the bowl just fills with water instead of draining), and the water level in the bowl was normally quite high to begin with (which is usually a sign of there being some blockage in the buildings sewage system somewhere). With regards to the vacuuming, there were some spots in the room where if I walked around in it, Id experience similar symptoms to my cat allergy symptoms. I think for a property that does allow pets, they have to make sure the carpets are deeply vacuumed to remove any pet dander in case others have pet allergies.Lastly, a minor thing, the bathroom wasnt stocked with any body lotion, which is normally not a big issue, but since the bar soap provided REALLY dries out the skin, body lotion was really necessary. However, none of these are the end of the world, which is why I overall had a good stay.
I love this hotel chain, but this one is lacking. There is hardly ever anyone at the front desk (but when there is they are very friendly). I had to cook all of my meals during my trip and struggled to get dishwashing detergent. The housekeepers were bad about restocking items, but very good about changing sheets and towels. Overall I love the amenities that residence inn offers but have stayed at ones previously that blow this one out of the water.
I stayed here for a month and found it to be okay, just desperately in need of an update and good cleaning. Our carpets were stained and curtains dirty, woodwork sticky. Staff tries hard and are friendly, but I had multiple billing errors, asked to have broken room items fixed that did not happen for weeks (some never repaired). If you need an inexpensive, centrally located hotel (that accepts pets), this is better than the other options, but it could be so much better with an update.
Initially there was a reservation issue (wrong date), and I was charged for the incorrect day. When I came to check in, I was still able to get a room, luckily. I did however have to change rooms on the second night because they got my duration wrong. With everything said and done, with all these inconveniences, I was refunded and charged for 1 nights stay, instead of the 2 I was there for. The rooms are clean and presentable. The staff is polite and helpful. Room access from parking is convenient. As long as I dont have another scheduling issue, I would stay there again.
The rooms are very clean. My 1-bedroom includes a kitchen, dishwasher, kitchen utensils and even complimentary same-day grocery shopping at any grocery store you specify. The public areas are all clean and quiet. I enjoy the Mixer nights to get free wine. The buffet breakfast is free every day and high quality with a variety of foods. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Ohio.
Just stayed this past Saturday night. Very nice place room was clean and comfortable. Staff I dealt with was great gentleman who checked us in had a great attitude. He was wearing a orange shirt think was front counter manager. Hes a good asset to your hotel. We will stay again.
A very good hotel this Residence Inn by Mariott Beachwood is. The ladies at check-in were very friendly and courteous. Our two-bedroom suite was spacious, clean, and well decorated in a modern interior-design style. The beds were comfy and the sofa bed worked well. Kitchens were well equipped with a dishwasher, oven, microwave, silverware, and dishes. There were three televisions in our room, and you could imagine we enjoyed the YouTube connection. The shower had fantastic water pressure. We did have some television and toilet troubles. We called the engineer about the issues and he came right to our assistance with quick fixes to both problems. However, with no uniform, he looked as if he could be anybody from anywhere. That plus the paint peeling on the shower ceiling knocks down a star. I hope they can fix these issues of an otherwise pleasent place.Overall, a very good hotel. A little far from the city, but I would likely stay here again.
We had a great stay at the Residence Inn during the week of Christmas. It can be hard staying at a hotel on the holiday, and being away from home, however our room was clean and updated and provided us all the amenities that we needed for a comfortable stay. We would definitely stay here again!
What was supposed to be a vacation with my two disabled parents and sister visiting from overseas, turned into a disappointment very quickly! Especially because Im used to way better treatment and service from the Residence Inn as it WAS my go to for the past 4 years. Our suite was neglected and not cleaned for 2 days. Once I made a complaint, the room was cleaned and a note was left apologizing, however, the cleaning was less than satisfactory. Once I spoke with the front desk the morning I checked out, the receptionist took my number and stated that someone will be calling me. Its been more than 48 hours and Ive yet to receive a call from anyone. There was a bug on the night stand that was there from the day I checked in that was there the day I checked out. It was evident that none of the surfaces are wiped daily. Trash was left on the floor and not picked up. There was hair behind the bathroom door that was not cleaned. Its safe to say that was my last stay there. Ive had great experiences in the past...but I cannot stand to take the chance to go through this type of experience again.
The hotel is beautiful but if you are looking for a good nights rest this hotel is not for you. The beds are very uncomfortable. My husband and i could not rest well and when we finally did get a little rest we awoke with aches and pains. We requested a pot that was missing out of the room and never received it. The breakfast in the morning was not very good. The eggs tasted as if they were powdered. Overall the price paid for the room was not worth it.
Stayed here for two nights and the staff was extremely friendly. The breakfast is nothing to write home about, but its free - so you cant be too picky! The wifi gave us no problems the entire time or anything else in our room for that matter. Would definitely stay here again.
I stayed here in Aug of 2015. Hotel has taken quite a beating since then. The two bdrm suite room 433 we had was in desperate need of a reno. Kitchen lighting was horrible. Cabinets and appliances sticky and beat up. Furniture in living space was stained and worn. Breakfast area was okay but way understaffed. Very nice woman was trying her best to keep up but there needs to be additional help during peak time. When I arrived for checking around 4 pm there was no one at front desk. And again next day when I was looking for ice. Level of service and upkeep substandard for a Marriott.
The room and hotel were very clean. Very rare I see the hotel that clean. Continental breakfast needs improvement in terms of items and selection. I know it was only continental breakfast, but there is always room for improvement.Free Internet was so slow that I could not open anything on my phone. Just turned Wi-Fi off and didnt bother to use it.
Id literally just lost my father hours before I checked in, the staff was amazingly accommodating, and very sensitive. Sorry, I cant recall her name, but the Front Desk Supervisor went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, including a consoling hug. The breakfast was much better than the typical continental offered elsewhere. Yes, I will definitely stay a here again.
My mother-in-law came to visit and we reserved a room that had a handicapped restroom. There were 2 bedrooms and dinning room that were very clean.Breakfast was a help-yourself style.Since I cant eat gluten they had none gluten bagels with jelly and peanut butter. The hotel is 100 percent accessible for people who are disabled.
Came for a business trip for 10 days. The hotel had everything I needed, both for business or for my personal use., rooms are big, clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful. Nice kitchen allows to do basic cooking.Breakfast is really poor, after 3 days you get really tired from having almost the same limited verity everyday. Also take into account there will be many kids and a lot of noise during the weekend.
Daughter was competing in NCAA Nationals at the Spire Institute. The entire team stayed here. Easy on and off of the highway. Plenty of food options and shopping near by. No indoor pool, how ever the outside hot tub and the fire pit seating area were a pleasant bonus. All of the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Would like extended pool and hot tub hours, 9:30 is a bit early, especially for the track athletes who had just finished competing all day. Continental breakfast was average, but the staff working it were very nice and prompt to refill.
The room was clean & thats all I ever ask for. Only stayed long enough to get something to eat down the road & sleep. Good selection of places to eat, we preferred Whole Foods Grocery store for a quick & healthy dinner. Anyone needing supplies/clothing etc. would be happy to find stores close by. Hotel under renovation so we found an easy entrance to our room & didnt venture anywhere else. Yes we will stay again on our trip back from visiting family.
Beautiful, clean, extremely comfortable, the staff is the best in my North American travels. No stress, no anxiety, just relax and enjoy. The rooms are beautiful, clean and roomy. Excellent location for food, shopping, entertainment and commuters to businesses. You feel like youve come home and youre treated like royalty.
I had a great experience at the Residence Inn. The staff was very professional, the rooms were very clean and comfortable. I stay here for two week increments during my training in Cleavland and I highly recommend this location. There are plenty of places to eat in the area and it takes no time to reach the highway. Make sure to grab some breakfast the people there always have a smile and the have everything you need to take on the day!
I was at the hotel for a conference so I cant speak to the facilities at all, just the one room I was in and the bathrooms. The room temp was perfect, room was clean, furniture seemed clean and new-ish. Plus the coffee was pretty good which is key when youre in an all-day seminar.
Ms. Kim (front desk/Asst Mgr) was not only very accommodating, but anticipated my every need. If there was something I needed, she made it happen & fast! Also, Ms. JaNet came in much earlier than she normally would just to ensure our group could have breakfast before we left for our appointed meeting. Theres nothing like getting your day started with a full belly, some good coffee, and a staff that ensures youre well taken care of during your stay. I cant tell you how much our entire group appreciated our experience!
I have absolutely no complaints concerning my room, its cleanliness, comfortable bed, etc. The breakfast was another matter. I was there for two (2) days. Both days, I had to locate staff because there were no forks or spoons. Only one waffle machine was available. On one day, the only meat available was the sausage gravy. Very disappointing.I would stay at the hotel again, just go somewhere else for breakfast.
We took the Kids to see grandma and other family members just a get away for the weekend. All the museums were free for MLK Day, Our hotel was great and the staff was too. We needed an extra blanket for the pull out sofa bed and they (The Staff) was very accommodating.Overall 4+ Starrs
Residence Inn is a very clean, friendly hotel. The staff are all great! We travel about every 3 months as I am a patient at the Cleveland clinic and we always stay here, for the last 3 years. Super nice! PURE rooms for my daughter with asthma, wonderful! Staff is always friendly, attentive and very helpful!
I stayed at the Residence-Inn hotel 5-6 times during 2007 - 2010, 7 - 14 days each time for business. The hotel is clean, quite, specious, have good service and very hospitable. I liked the morning buffet, the free accessibility to the jym (both internal to the hotel and external in a large, professional facility across the loan), laundry and the in-room kitchen. It is very close to many nearby great restaurants and shopping centers.I highly recommend it to everyone.
Everyone IS Family. EVERY TIME! and pet friendly for a fee. No fee is too big for Mini, My dog. Now I wonder if I told them that I do work for Marriott International, would I get different treatment? ...Nah! They are too good at what they do. Thank you all at Beachwood Residence Inn Marriott. I had a great stay!
My family and I will not be staying here again. There was a bag of garbage in the parking lot when we pulled in that sat there for the entire weekend, and was still there when we left three days later. Check in at the front desk only happened after they had worked out their non-work-related conversations with other staff members who blocked the front counter. Hotel staff in the hallways and elevators made us feel like we were intruders in their space - as if our stay was inconveniencing them. Two inappropriate conversations loudly took place among staff that, luckily, my son was not with me to overhear. On our last day, room service came knocking at 10 am, asking when we were going to be checking out. I have NEVER had this happen at ANY hotel.
I have stayed at this Residence inn several time while on business trips. I have always found the staff to be especially friendly and helpful here. The rooms are nice and somewhat larger than you typical hotel room which is good when you are on the road a lot. The place is quiet and well kept. I have always had good experiences at this place.
We have stayed at the Beechwood Residence Inn many times and have always been welcomed warmly and treated extremely well. We have found the staff and this Residence Inn to be friendly and helpful whenever called upon and sometimes simply by volunteering. We enjoy the spacious renovated rooms and public spaces. We appreciate the hot and nutritious breakfast. This is a hotel that we will return to many times in the future when we are in Cleveland.
Got in after midnight, and check in person was chipper and friendly even if I was too tired to reciprocate. The room is huge with a kitchen, couch, and office desk and had a view of the pool. Too bad we were not here long enough to really enjoy any of it.Breakfast was pretty good, which I would expect based off the price of the room $$$.Homemade waffle bar, breads, yogurts, bacon and eggs, you know the usual suspects. But the stand outs were scrambled egg whites, make your own breakfast burrito, and a crispy hot vegi cakes.
It was a great stay at the Residence Inn because of Jasmine and her staff. My mom and I was there to celebrate my mom birthday and they made her feel so special with the handwritten birthday card. I have never stayed at any Marriott where staff was more thoughtful as Jasmine and her staff. Not only were they absolutely wonderful to us but as I sat in the Lobby I observed Jasmine and Venus both making each and every one of their guest feel special. They went above and beyond to make every guest feel special. You could not ask for better staff and because of them I will always stay at the Residence Inn in Beachwood Ohio =) Please Thank them for a wonderful job well done!
The hotel was clean and easy to get to. The staff was excellent very willing to assist and super friendly. Would stay there again. We were there for medical reasons and the staff was more than willing to assist in all our questions and needs. Would highly recommend this property.
Residence Inn Beachwood provided a truly comfortable and welcoming experience. Multiple members of our family stayed for a family wedding. It was perfectly located, and convenient to shopping and highways. The breakfast had great options, and we felt warmly greeted by the staff, especially Venus. I could see this being very comfortable for a long-term stay.
My stay was excellent, the greatest customer service was given by Jasiman Cason. The rooms were very clean and supplied and if there was something that you needed it was given to you without hesitation. The pool was outside but it was very clean and maintained. Good parking and lights. Breakfast was well organized and hot.
The staff was exceptional, our suite was very roomy, comfortable, handicapped accessible and had a fully stocked kitchen with everything that we needed. The guest laundry and exercise room helped us out immensely. The breakfasts were perfect for us and the three nights that the Residence Inn provided their mixer with snacks, wine and beer were great relaxers. It was close to the Ohio Cleveland Clinic and to restaurants and grocery stores so the location was very good.
This is hotel is by far one of the worst Marriott hotel that I have stayed in . I fly in from Atlanta to Cleveland every week since August. Lately there is always a problem. First off it is so much traffic in out of this place. It feels like a shelter sometimes and not a extended stay hotel. I understand they house a lot of relief victims or for insurance claims. This does not make it better. I mean they residents are allowed to have dogs...huge dogs. I have seen residents bring their dogs to the dinning area, which is horrible. My toilet clogged a few weeks ago around 10pm I called down to the front desk to request for maintenance to come up to fix it. After waiting 45 MINUTES I called back to the desk just for them to tell me that they left a plunger at my door. First I DID NOT request a plunger nor did anyone knock on my door to inform me that a plunger was left. WTH, SO being that is was late and I have to work in the morning. I take the plunger but to my surprise it is full of HOLES. WTH, Are kidding me???. At this point I have to get out of my bed to go down to front desk to demand the some to come fix this problem. The room are not clean , multiple times I found where my bath tub was dirty and I had to clean it myself. Just recently I went to dry my hands on a towel, that was folded up DIRTY with food stain all over it. On top of that I spotted a BUG in my bathroom. The stove top is not clean., bathroom not clean. I requested another room. I HATE this hotel. the only reason I am still here is because of work and I happen to really like the staff lik Jasiman, Venus and Valerie . They are really nice, helpful, friendly, compassionate and great customer service.. They try to make the bad experience better. All in all I expect more from a Marriott hotel. I am highly disappointed. STAY Away if you can!
The room is comfortable but was not thoroughly cleaned; a full trash can under the sink, crumbs all over couch, kitchen table residue, insufficient supplie - no dish liquid, meager coffee and sweetener, incomplete bath supplies. We.expect better from Marriott, even with Bonvoy early check-in.
Recently I stayed for 15 nights in this property. The receptionist who did my check-in was very rude. Interestingly this was my 2nd long stay in last 1 Year in this hotel and the same lady did my check-in both times. I am Platinum Elite member and seems they don’t know how to deal with Elite members even after reminding. They even don’t offer the welcome gifts and please, don’t even dare to think about upgrade. The lady simply told lie that no room available for upgrade while when I checked online, I find next category room is available. Only reason I choose this hotel since it has a small kitchen which sometime useful. Other than that nothing is exciting about this hotel. I would not like to stay here any more unless there is no hotels available in that area. The staff service needs a drastic improvement.
We found our stay at the Residence Inn excellent. Staff were responsive and professional. The location in Beachwood, OH was exceptional for activities in the area but also private enough that the sounds of the area did not interfere. We like Residence Inn because it is spacious and clean. It is well-designed.
Dont rely on the 800 Marriott Rewards # to maintain a change in your reservation. When they modified my reservation, the on site location - Residence Inn had on their end my reservation cancelled. To my shock and surprise. Thankfully they had rooms still available where I was able to re-book my room and re-confirm my stay.
This hotel was one of the locations recommended by my employer. The room was very spacious, up to date, and clean. It was also very nice to have the small kitchen in the room. The staff was very polite and friendly. I will definitely stay here again on my next business trip.
Stayed for business. Beautiful, spacious room equipped with a hair dryer, iron, stove, full fridge and freezer, coffee maker, pop corn, pull out couch/bed, nice little desk and nice TV. The complimentary breakfast is amazing and every single staff member greets you when you walk by! 5 out of 5 stars from me!
We cant say enough about how clean and up to date this hotel is! The suite was lovely and very well lit! The staff were very friendly and it was almost as if they welcomed us into their home instead of being someone else to take care of. I cant say enough wonderful about this hotel! You wont go wrong staying here!
Rooms are very nice. The staff at the time of my stay was not the greatest, very poor customer service skills. The hotel is being remolded which was not known until I checked in. There was only one working elevator, which was a long way from my room. This is a non smoking hotel, so it was a long haul for my guest that are smokers.
Hotel seemed brand new - totally remodeled on 2015! From check in to check out & everything in between, the whole experience was way above my expectations. Service superb. Suites smartly decorated, very clean & comfortable. Breakfast was good, but could have been better with higher quality of meat, but I always think that.
What great people at the holidays. The facilities were neat and clean and they really did think of everything in the suites. We were able to have plenty of space to stretch out for a week and the separate bedroom made us feel not so far from home during Christmas. Thanks team!!!
We spent 3 nights here while attending a family reunion. It was convenient to freeways, as well as, several upscale eastside neighborhoods of Cleveland. The staff is welcoming, professional and responsive. The 2 Bedroom-2 Bath suites are a fantastic value; they include breakfast, fitness center, morning papers, and an outdoor swimming pool. It has convenient parking and is close to several shopping centers, yet doesnt have any particular views of parks or the city. I would definitely return and recommend this Residence Inn to others.
This was our second stay at the Residence Inn Marriott in the last 4 months. Our stay was above par both visits. The entire staff was always very friendly and accommodating. They went above and beyond customer service expectations. We were in Cleveland as I am a patient at the Cleveland Clinic and we stayed 4 days at the Residence Inn. Our week was stressful for my husband, my mother, my 9 year old daughter and myself as the days were hectic back and forth to the Clinic. My mother and daughter were at the Residence Inn daily visiting the laundry room, game room, fitness room, computer room. The staff was always interacting with them and making them feel welcome. Our over-all rating for the Residence Inn Marriott on a scale of 1 being worst and 10 being best...they receive a 20++++ ! The staff is Amazing! Truly a wonderful stay! I will be visiting the Cleveland clinic on a more regular basis traveling from Cincinnati, Ohio and we will most definitely be staying at the Residence Inn Cleveland Beachwood, our Home away from Home !
Stayed here two nights. First night had to change rooms as they put us beside the elevator when they had other rooms. Came back after our day out and the maid had left on the fireplace and the temperature in the room was 80 degrees when it was 68 outside. She didnt leave any toilet paper or coffee and she didnt clean out the coffee maker. Had to go down to the front desk to get coffee and toilet paper at 11:40 pm and that took 15 minutes. They are so disorganised here. So different from the last time. Wont be staying here again.
Form the moment I walked in I was tipped off that we shouldnt have booked here. The place was clean but the staff member who checked us in was unwelcoming and had a sour attitude. My parents and I got separate rooms on the 3rd floor. We were not told prior to booking that the fourth was under construction. I was sick this whole trip (all of 2 days) and spent most of my time in my room trying not to infect everyone, which meant that I was subjected to loud drilling all day Saturday. When I called the front desk they were nice but said there was nothing to be done about it and that construction was allowed to happen Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 6pm. So, I would have to wait until 6pm for it to stop. So I went down the hall to my folks room too see if it was quieter there, the hall stunk like paint. It was such a strong smell that even with my nose stopped up I could smell it. I got to my folks room and found out that they were having worse problems with their room. My folks dont smoke and so they booked a non-smoking room. Tell me then, how did their room stink like cigarettes? It would get stronger periodically like someone in a nearby room was smoking and it was venting straight into their room. My dad asked about it at the front desk when he checked out, and the staff told him that it was a non-smoking room. How does that help us? You basically call him a liar? Needless to say we wont be staying here again.
We arrived late, but the front desk attendant was rude as well as housekeeping. I asked for a late check out and the housekeeper came back every hour from 10am until 1pm. The room smelled of mildew. I sneezed all night. Unfortunately, we were told the property was sold out so we had to stay in a handicapped room and we were not forewarned. As a Gold Member, I have come to expect a staff that is aware of policy.
Friendly and helpful staff, clean and spacious room, and above average breakfast on Sunday .. definitely will be our hotel of choice when we are back in the Beachwood/Gates Mills area .. perfect for out-of-towns parents visiting their Gilmour Academy students as it is only 5-6 minutes away.
I stayed overnight to allow good sleep prior to a test. Showed up on a Monday night at the end of the nightly happy hour... Sodas, red and white wine, and a keg of blue moon were out to drink and some passable Korean bbq and potstickers with noodle salad were the meal. The room (king suite) was spacious and comfortable, if a bit dated. Staff seemed to know some of the guests well and focused their attention on those during dinner/breakfast. Breakfast the next morning included breads, cereals, yogurt, fruit, waffles, eggs, andouille sausage, and biscuits and gravy. Check out was easy and it was easy to get on the highway straight from the property.
Checked in at night time, the reception staff was very professional and super friendly! Not sure if it was because we checked in at night, we asked for extra towels, blanket and help in pulling out sofa bed, took a long time to get maintenance guy to come knock on our door.
Although this hotel is going through a renovation, which they communicate very effectively, the service and plans for assisting those who stay there during the renovation, make for a pleasant stay as Marriot makes upgrades to their hotel site. We stayed in a King suite with one bedroom for one night and I have to commend the front desk staff as well as the rest of the hotel staff for being nothing but accommodating, friendly, and understanding!!! Side note: on the way to Cleveland to visit my son who could not come home for Thanksgiving, our back rear windshield was entirely shattered by a huge chunk of ice while on the I-90. We were nonetheless stressed and with no back windshield, when we arrived at the hotel. The front desk manager assured us that we would be welcome to have a late afternoon checkout (as our car wouldnt be able to be fixed until later Saturday afternoon). The cleaning staff were happy to provide us with garbage bags for our back window (missing) and were so quick to help us light the fireplace in our suite and be very consoling in a stress filled day!!! My overall impression of the staff that work at this location is friendly, caring, and happy to be where they are; this is the exception sometimes when you stay at chain hotels and a welcome experience for my family!!!(NOTE - not sure if there is a way to solve this but there is a bit of a louder sound in the bedroom when the AC kicks in; it stopped later at night but for some it could be disruptive).
My recent Vista to the Residence Inn by Marriott was a great visit. I did early check in so my room was available for me to check in before 3. The room was very clean. The staff was excellent. I would recommend anyone to visit plus the hotel is surrounded by a lot of shopping and places to eat.
Do not stay here! The property is old and shabby. It needs a lot of repairs and certainly an interior decorator to change the wallpaper, put new doors in, new carpet, new furnishings. Also watch where you drive in their parking lots due to the holes and cracks. The breakfast needs additional items and enough food so that they do not run out. There is a new hotel being built behind them. The construction noise during the day is quite loud and most of the rooms look out in this direction or face a cemetery. There are other hotels/properties (including Marriotts Fairfield Inn) in the area across the highway that are better than this one. This does not deserve the Marriott name.
When ask to travel for a month to a city I had never been I was a little trepidatious. At the first moment in arrival I was made welcome. There wasn’t a moment when the staff did not attend to my needs. It quickly became my home away from home. I don’t have words for how grateful I feel.
Staff is professional and friendly. they make sure your needs and requirements are met. rooms are great.modern work areas and reading lights over the bed. clean. great location around corner from new development and shopping plaza, near whole foods, right at expressway exit. may be the best residence inn.
The hotel was under construction with updates but overall the new room I stayed in was good! New furniture and paint scheme. The staff was very apologetic about all the dust and made sure I was happy! Kudos to management alerting me prior to arrival of construction issues! Overall great hotel and close to lots of good restaurants! Will return if back in Cleveland area!
Stay has been very pleasant. The staff is smiling and very friendly. The property is currently undergoing renovation; however they made sure that the disturbance level is kept to very minimum. The only suggestion that I would have for them is to verify the fire alarm as it had given a false alarm at least 3-4 times in the span of 4 months I spent there.
This Residence Inn was our home away from home for three weeks. The staff exceeded our expectations with kindness, professionalism and warmth. The property has an excellent location for all the conveniences you could possibly need. And our two bedroom suite was extremely comfortable.
First visit to a Residence Inn. Great layout of 2 bedrooms -- each with an en-suite bathroom -- separated by living / dining / kitchen area. Provides everyone with their own space. Very nice bathrooms and large closets. Pool not yet open for the season, but is located in great outdoor area, perfect for lounging and has a BBQ. Whole Foods less than a mile away; PF Changs just up the road. About 10 min drive to Legacy Village for many more restaurant options - Calif Pizza Kitchen, Capital Grille, Chipotle, etc. Easy drive to Cleveland Clinic.
Life isnt perfect. I accept that and dont make a big deal out of minor stuff that comes up in an experience that was mostly positive and enjoyable. But every once in a while, everything goes right and perfection is achieved. This was one of those times. The facility, room, bed, service, breakfast, check in and out, were smooth to the point of perfection, how things were designed to perform but seldom achieved. Im almost hesitant to return to this hotel because it could not possibly be as good an experience as we had last weekend. Or could it? Id give it a another try.
I had a family emergency. We had to change wedding plans at the last minute. Caitlin in sales exceeded my expectations! Carl at the front desk was absolutely wonderful! Because of the staff at this Residence Inn in Beachwood, our experience went from hectic to perfect!Thank you so muchMrs Massey
I called the hotel directly to make my reservation and told them I wanted to use my e-certificate for my Anniversary night, but was told I had to use points instead. So I went to the website and checked the use points option. Upon entering the reservation information, it notified me that an e-certificate was available to use if I chose to do so. I checked that box and the reservation was made. The next morning I checked for directions to the hotel and noticed that 15,000 points were subtracted. I called Marriott Rewards customer service for Gold members and they straightened it out, no knowing what happened and apologizing for the mis-information. Upon arrival to the hotel I was given a room located just past housekeeping and the laundry and was told the hotel was sold out for the night. However, upon checking the website, I learned this wasnt true. We had been asked to be near a door/elevator due to mobility issues but instead were at the end of the hallway, well past all other guest rooms on the first floor. That was certainly the worst Marriott experience in 20 years.
Water leak in the room upon arrival. Called the front desk, maintenence tech came by. It was a small leak, causing a puddle in the bathroom floor. The water was coming through the wall, and appeared to be coming from upstairs. He left saying he would investigate the leak and let us know if we needed to change rooms, or if the problem was resolved. We never saw him again. The front desk never called. Nothing. I wrongly assumed the issue was resolved. We didnt know if it was a supply line leaking, or a sewage line, no idea. But I do know stepping in an ice cold puddle at 1:30 AM in the dark bathroom really pissed me off. Next day our little family went down for breakfast. They had NO HIGHCHAIRS.The room was quiet, spacious, nicely furnished and we will give them another chance. But this trip was disappointing.
This Residence Inn (RI) stay was not what we have normally experienced at other RIs. Room was in poor repair (doors that stuck and squeaked very loudly), breakfast was very minimal and of poor quality, front desk staff were not welcoming as we appeared to interrupt their TV/internet time, and tech support for wireless support was rude and unable to resolve basic connection issue. Overall a negative experience and will have us consider twice before relying prior Marriott and RI experiences when booking our next vacation our business stay.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Cleveland Beachwood Residence Inn. Its a great location, and near plenty of stores and, restaurants. The staff members were extremely professional and guest friendly. The room was very clean, and the bed was most comfortable. Im looking forward to my next stay!
The Beachwood location was updated, the room was clean, quiet and comfortable. I didnt get a room near an elevator as requested, late check out was 1pm and the internet was atrocious. I could only get internet service in the lobby. The staff was professional and tried to accomodate where they could. I would still recommend it, but not if you need internet. It was frustrating trying to connect and being unable too.
Have stayed at this location a number of times over the past 5 years, Each time I return I notice the property is getting more and more worn. This last visit, I noticed a divot/chip in a kitchen area floor tile. The vinyl covering on the backs of the chairs around the dining table (on all 4 of the chairs) was so worn that is was flaking away and the foam cushion underneath was visible. The tub glazing has a large chip in it and the bathroom sink basin was also chipped. The bathroom ceiling had obviously experienced a leak and had been repaired (poorly repaired by someone with little skill in drywall repair). One other slightly annoying aspect was the cable TV service. The channel labels on the TV indicated that the last 4 or 5 channels in the lineup were HBO channels and the channel guide on the TV listed HBO programs for those channels. However, the programming on those last few channels did not match the scheduled programming on HBOs website. After watching one channel long enough, the network ID between shows indicated it was Showtime, not HBO. So the TV channel labels said the last few channels were HBO and channel guide showed HBO programming for those channels but those channels were all Showtime channels.
Awesome!!!! Thanks To Sheila& Staff at Residence Inn by Marriott in Beachwood ClevelandWe were on our way to visit our newest baby granddaughter. We like to stay at Marriot Resident In, we like the room, the breakfast, Pool and other services. People are very friendly.I would like to have at least one more option for proteins like a Chicken or beef. For now, pork is the only option. Also, I think rooms needs to be clean little bit better.
Great location nearby freeway 271 and a lot of shopping and dining areas. Newly renovated and all facilities are well managed. Staff are also relatively new and still need some training. Anyway, its a good place to stay if you want to have your own kitchen, which is good for family, and the shopping mall like beachwood place, eaton mall are just 5 mins drive.
The light above the shower almost fell on me while I was taking a shower. The ceiling in the bathroom needed to be fixed for probably a long time. It was bubbling and flaking. The maid should have notified someone about how bad it was. I should have never seen the bathroom is such disrepair.

2022-06-05Pros: Every staff member was so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was always stocked and adequate.great location.CONS: dirty room, stained, peeling walls. Loud people running all hours of the night. Front desk said they cant do anything. Theres only like two luggage carts around and they are never available so we had to make like 15 trips up and down with the slow elevator. Will not be staying again.

2022-01-03I was very disappointed with my stay. The hotel looks in need of some major renovations for the price being charged. My room was $560 a night. Our kitchen wasn’t stocked wit paper products. We had the toilet paper from the previous guest which was half a roll with no refill. All the shower amenities had been removed from the showers. There was water damage in the halls that left the wallpaper peeling. Out door was still taped off from a half attempted paint job. This was not in align with what you expect from their brand. I could’ve easily paid motel prices for the experience. We didn’t even attend breakfast the next morning. We just left very upset that our new year was bought in like that.

2022-04-06Alisa at the front desk is very caring and welcoming. Very clean accommodations and convenient to Cleveland clinic Beachwood, Cole eye institute. Theyre only concern is you having a restful stay. Breakfast was great too in the morning! Will be back.

2022-05-07I just completed an 11 night stay here and it was a great experience. I really enjoyed the hotel and the front desk staff were the among the best I’ve interacted with.Facilities:I thought the hotel was in great condition. Yea stayed in the 1BR suite with a fireplace. I could not figure out how to get the fireplace to work, but never asked for assistance so there is a 98% chance it was user error. The laundry soon was a bit of a walk, but for $1/wash and $1/dry (took 2 runs for my clothes to dry though) I would have walked farther. The pool was not open since it was late April, but the area looked great.Staff:The main 2 front desk staff I interacted with were absolutely amazing. Extremely polite and accommodating. I mentioned on check in that I had another room booked for a the weekend so family could visit. They were able to immediately block the room next to mine, which was extremely helpful. Housekeeping was available every 2 days, but available upon request. I needed towels during my stay and made the request in the all, they were brought up almost immediately.Bonvoy Benefits:Upon check in my status was acknowledged (there was a bell involved haha). I was also given an upgrade without asking, which is pretty rare for an 11 night stay. The one concern I have is that when I requested a late checkout a few days after check in (the late checkout was not asked at check in so I forgot) the front desk staff member mentioned how full they were and that it might be a problem. She eventually agreed to it after she looked into the system. The concern here is that this is a guaranteed benefit and, at a Residence Inn, not based on availability so there should not have been any kind of issue noting it.It was a great stay and I would definitely stay here again.

2022-01-25Positive: Quiet nice room accessories. Negative: TV may need some adjustment. The $100.00 hold fee not so great, All in all nice experience. The check in check out times were different from my itinerary.

2022-04-13The staff was very helpful and friendly. The building is beat up and in need of repairs. We had a suite with a fireplace. Maintenance was required to light the fireplace. After several minutes he was able to get it lit 5 minutes after he left it went out. The mirrors are so bad the gilt on the back is peeling off. The entire building only has one elevator. The breakfast was cheap and did not taste very well.

2022-05-27Thismis a below average for a Marriott residence Inn. It is getting shabby around the edges, mattresses, furniture and internet options leavema lot to be desired. Breakfast is slightly better than prison food. Staff was below what you would expect in any Marriott.
