My family and I have been in our home over 12 years and we have never had a problem until this Money hungry and careless company took over! They are trying to do patch work raise rent with no fixes nor updates this house hasn’t been touched in over 15 years. They are a very difficult management company ! Bad business all around !! Only if Zero stars were possible …. oh they would have it
DO NOT WORK WITH THIS COMPANY IF YOU ARE AN INVESTOR. My property has been sitting vacant for 3 months without any care from them, bad marketing!!! I posted my property on Facebook and got hundreds of requests to see it. A vacant property in a hot rental market like this just doesnt make any sense. Their communication is extremely poor. Tenants had some emergency and this company doesnt have an emergency line. My property now has been damaged from vacancy. Im brining a lawsuit!!!
When I was looking for a company to manage my properties, this was the only one that answered my call and then kept in touch while I was making my decision. Jessica has been quick to answer my emails and address any concerns I’ve had. One thing I was apprehensive about was some of the negative reviews on maintenance. But so far all my maintenance concerns have been addressed and I’m glad to have chosen this management company.
*UPDATED* (7 months after move-in). Lack of communication and follow-up on repairs and requests is extremely unprofessional. After several months of paying rent to the city to hold in escrow, and then the company requesting US to pay THEIR attorney fees, things finally got settled. We caved on a few specifics just to ride out our last 4 months. Big business not doing their job well, wanting to go the cheapest route, taking advantage of the little consumer. Document everything, take pictures, take names and notes of conversations with contractors, save text messages, and don’t be afraid to challenge issues that are not being taken care of, or challenge when no one responds to your inquires. Would not recommend.Original post 7July ‘22
Booked a house to look at, when we arrived at the house we realized that we had been double booked with another person who wanted to look at the house. They also canceled the appointment 5 mins before it was scheduled. Then the owner of the house came out and said the house was already being rented out weeks ago. They don’t keep anything updated and they just care about money. They won’t show the house unless they know you’ve signed the lease. Do not recommend
If I could give this company 1/4 star, I wouldnt even allow them that much. This is a TERRIBLE organization. My daughter signed a lease with these people and could never reach them for ANY issue. When the washer overflowed into the downstairs apartment - it took them 3 WEEKS to go out and see what the issue was. The doors dont stay closed/locked. It is FREEZING in the apartment due to poor insulation. The floors are crooked. The dishwasher has never worked (in a year). They are promoting this as a 2 bedroom, but the 2nd bedroom doesnt even have a door. I am pretty certain that this is false advertising and against the law. The management company BLOCKED my daughters roomates phone number and email. She can not contact them for anything. What a horrible, disgusting bunch of professionals. I will go out of my way to trash mouth this company as long as people will listen. Stay FAR AWAY from this company.
I assist with my husband Marshal (Kingdom Concrete) with work at the rentals and can see the great pride they take into their rentals, kylah is very responsive and professional in the maintenance department. If you are an owner, know your property would be taken care of with Remax. Thanks Kylah and Remax!
I have ~20 units of MFH managed by RE/MAX Haven Realty Property management. I have used two other property managers in the area and had problems with both. The first was a big player in the market, but generally a terrible property manager. I was never profitable while they managed my properties due to excessive vacancies or excessive repair costs. The second was a well meaning but too new property management company who could not keep up with a growing portfolio and their service fell off a cliff.Re/Max Haven has been such an improvement. Nearly all of the information I used to have to email and wait for a slow response with previous PM companies, I can simply log into my dashboard and see it instantly. I can run my own reports or look at my ledger at any time. If there is something that I need to email the company about, I always get an answer or at least an acknowledgement of my email with a scheduled follow up. I have never been left hanging wondering if they forgot about me which has been an issue at every PM in the past. My repair costs have been reasonable and best of all my vacancies have been kept low since they took over. Ive been at 100% occupancy and collected rents for a good portion of the time since they took over. When there have been vacancies, they have generally been filled reasonably quickly. The account manager assigned to me is great to work with and I am finally starting to feel the ability to trust the PM that they are handling things and getting the job done so I can work on the next property or project. I would definitely recommend property owners in the area who are dissatisfied with their current PM to give Re/Max a call. I am glad that I did.
THANK YOU, ARIEL!! I almost got shown the curb for nonpayment. Thanks to Ariel, it wont happen. They were able to help me keep my home, get their company money owed, AND in advance, do to their diligence to help the company AND their customer. Seriously, THANK YOU, ARIEL! Whatever Ariel is being payed, its not enough.
This rental company is by far the worst I’ve ever used.l in my life. There’s nothing that can convince me otherwise. And there’s nothing that could convince me to resign any lease with them. Re/Max Haven never has anyone at the office in person that we’re able to talk to. They’ve pretty much been taking their phone number off of everything as well. It became very apparent that they do not want you to contact them. if you try, well good luck. Also instead of being forgiving, they rule by fear. We were 2 days late on a water bill payment for $13. My girlfriend must have miscalculated when getting the money order and we remained $13 short for 2 days passed due. On that 3rd day, rather than giving us a phone call or something civilized, they slapped an ‘eviction’ notice on our door and said we had 3 days to move out. Now, I knew that wasn’t going to happen, but why cause chaos like that? Well they also took away online payments, so I spend an additional $10 every month getting a money order cause they refuse to make the tenant’s life easier than it needs to be. I hate this rental company, and we are actively trying to get out of our lease about halfway through it. Please, do yourself a favor, and don’t use this rental company. I felt the need to write this just to warn others from making the same decision we did
Great communication, coordination and really take care of the clients. My property manager was Brooke and now Michelle and they both do an excellent job and provide tremendous value to out of state clients especially. My property was not turning a positive cash flow but they made sure all deferred maintenance items before my purchase were taken care off and hopefully now this will be a profitable venture for me.
Re/MAX Haven Realty Property Management has an outstanding team of professionals. I am an out-of-state investor with 15+ rental properties managed by their team, and I am consistently impressed by how well they manage our properties. If youre looking for responsiveness, local market expertise, professionalism, trustworthiness, transparency, and peace of mind, I couldnt recommend a better group of people. In addition, theyve made some great investments in their owner portal software that provides me with a clear look into how my properties are doing. Special thanks to Dave and Samantha for their help with our portfolio.
The property Im renting had an issue with the bathroom. I was promised it would be fixed before we moved in. Come moving day it was not fixed. I called them and was told they would get it fixed and Id receive a call back in the next few days. I made this same call every week for nearly FOUR MONTHS. Every time they said theyd call me back in a few days. To this day Ive received literally 0 calls back. I even verified that they had my correct phone number. Now that Ive been living here for nearly four months, paying full rent for a totally non-functional bathroom theyve finally fixed the issue. To really add insult to injury they decided to leave the old toilet in my lawn. Avoid this company at all costs unless youre okay with spending 4 months of your time constantly complaining to eventually have them do the worlds most half-assed job. If I could give them less than 1 star I would.
My wife and I have rented from Remax since 2017. When we first started renting, Remax was great. They were very responsive to communication and quick with repairs. However, there must be new management, as theyve gotten progressively worse over the past few years, since right before the pandemic hit.Theres been a number of unpleasant experiences recently, but the thing that pushed me to finally write a negative review is that they no longer allow renters to talk to a human via the phone. They require you to email them or use a chat feature on their website. That seems bizarre to me. Thankfully were moving out next month, but I just cant imagine why you would want to rent with a company where you cant talk to them in person. This includes emergencies; theres no indication I can find of a number to call in case of emergencies. My recommendation is to find somewhere else to rent.
We love working with the Re/Max Haven Realty Property Management team! My husband and I live in another state and purchased several rental properties through Re/Max throughout the years. Every transaction has been seamless and easy. Since the purchases went so well we decided to use the Property Management services offered through Re/Max. They did not disappoint! We primarily deal with Brittany and she has been wonderful. She is friendly, knowledgable, professional and always addresses any questions or concerns right away. We love when we get our calls or emails returned so quickly. It just demonstrates how professional and attentive they are. We would highly recommend working with Re/Max.
I spoke to Steven Morris and had an amazing showing. Very professional and had ALL the information. Ariel S was the most amazing person (through emails!!) and showed so much professionalism. I can’t thank her enough for her work. She mad my application process so easy and fast. I send my love to her. If you see this Ariel and Steven, THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART.
I spend forever looking for a rental property and the biggest challenge was management companies who did not respond to questions timely. With Remax I was able to schedule a viewing fast, apply easily and got the results of my application timely. Overall, they have great communication.
My husband and I are small time Canadian RE investors with three US rental properties. We started using Re/Max Haven after a disastrous experience with another Cleveland PM (Initials are H-W) who talked the talk but in reality, their incompetence was shocking. After a year of this brutal service (including a newly renovated unit they couldnt find tenants for after 8 months), we were almost ready to sell our duplex but decided to give Re/Max Haven a chance. We are so glad we did! Within two weeks they had our unit rented to a qualified tenant and shortly thereafter, helped us evict the other (nightmare!) tenant. Then their team quickly cleaned out, repainted & repaired that unit for a fair price and had it ready to rent in three weeks. Talk about a well-oiled machine! Another major benefit of working with RH is communication: our agent, Samantha, answers emails promptly and even will talk to you on the phone, unlike H-W who NEVER once answered the phone. In short, Remax/Haven, specifically Samantha and founder Dave Terbeek, restored our faith in PMs, so much so we are now considering purchasing another property in the Cleveland area. We highly recommend them to landlords who really need someone they can trust.
I emailed Ariel S. Friday evening regarding something random and as always, she responded immediately. I wasn’t expecting to hear from her until the following business day, but she cares about her clients so much that she has never made me wait! How awesome is that! She is extremely kind and helpful. Since I’ve been with Remax, she’s always been welcoming and professional. She goes above and beyond!!! If you’re thinking about renting, ask to speak with Ariel! You won’t regret it.
I have more than 10 rental properties with re/max haven PM. The past 10 months we worked together has been a great experience. Brittany has been very professional and responsive, I can always get a reply within a day on any issue. It’s been a smooth rehab and management process and I will surely work with her and the team for years to come.
Good afternoonI took the morning off to drop check off to 5386 Majestic Parkway Ste 9 Bedford Heights, OH 44146. Not only was I rudely ignored by the lady sitting at a desk who clearly seen me at the door. She also told me to meet her at a different door when she opened the door for UPS and brushed me off. I stood at the door where she told me to meet her only for her to never come to the door to assist me. I have EVERYTHING instructed by your company to pay my deposit for and you all have done nothing but put almost impossible stipulations on how to proceed with this process. I took the day off work and still am unable to pay deposit due to no fault of my own. Im not understanding why I was told on the phone by Lindsay and confirmed by Ariel via email I could drop off my deposit and be treated in such a way. Reading the email above the deposit goes up 35. 00 dollars as well. I have a screen shot of the portal that states the deposit is 865.00 also have an email from Ariel confirming the same? This has been a horrible experience and extreme lack of professionalism. I was really interested in the place and would have been a great tenant. This is very disappointing.Show original message
0 stars! Worst company to waste your money with. Most properties listed are newly vacant and smell and look as though someone or something has died recently inside. No fresh air, cleaning or renovations in †he process of being done. Carpets look as though someone has been residing on them for decades. Stains, strange smells, discoloration and quality among the worst when looking from kitchen, bathroom to bedroom. Even when viewing apartments under renovation, which would not need renovation again if the person hired did not placed the hardwood flooring on top of whatever he chose to be lazy and continue work noticeably leaving a huge bulge in the middle of the living room/kitchen. They will take your $40 application fee with no problem but when ready to move onto the housing placement, it will be postponed! Youll be lucky to even get in touch with anyone. When given a phone number, theyll tell you leave a message. Leave a message, theyll tell you talk to a online customer service representative thats on their website for a couple of hours Monday-Friday. Good luck with that! The business image overall is very unprofessional, they do not show any interest in assisting you into a better housing or even livable conditions. Stay far away from this unresponsive, unprofessional, poor quality realty business. They will take your money and go missing!
This company is terrible and a rip off. I filled out an app and was denied with no reason given. I was told by findgs the company they run through to use a co signer for better approval odds so I paid 40 for my app then paid another 80 for me and my consigner and remax tells me I’m not allowed to use a co signer only they can use that option. My cosigner could allow me to get a home loan but not rent. Only reason I wanted to rent is because the housing market is trash and over priced. I do not recommend going through them it is a waste of time and impossible getting any information out of them
Recently, I had plumbing issues with my kitchen sink, but the issue was resolved. I was very impressed with Jimmie on how professional and knowledgeable he was when explaining the problem. He wore his mask at all times and even had on shoe covers. Overall, exceptional customer service. Thank you, Jimmie!
I have several older houses with Re/Max, many with issues, so there is always something going on. Its too much to manage by myself and I was very happy to find Re/Max. My contact person, Brittany, is incredibly responsive to me and always pleasant. Tenants are replaced very quickly and repairs are handled professionally. If anything goes wrong it is always sorted out. I would recommend Re/Max to anyone needing a property manager.
If I could give this company a 0 I would I have been waiting 2 months for the return of my security deposit and I am getting the run around from the people (REMAX EMPLOYEES)that I can ONLY CHAT WITH, I rented a home from Remax for 2 years and I can’t even get a phone call to assist me after Remax sent my money to the Wrong Address. USPS Is saying it was returned to The company already. This is exhausting and I want answers and I’m tired of waiting. Believe Me if I owed Remax money they would be knocking on my front door.I am requesting at call back Manager and Management. I am waiting for you to address and deliver to the correct address. 😡😡😡 I feel Remax should cut me another check, and this all can be ended, and I can pick it up today!
I have been working with Remax Haven for two years now. We have purchased 18 properties with them and continue to use them for property management. There ability to prioritize us, their professionalism, and responsiveness are unmatched in the industry. We are appreciative that we have them to guide us through the home purchase and property management process to build our business.
One of the most negative rental experiences Ive ever had. Took over property management duties halfway through our rental term for our Cleveland Heights property on Taylor Rd. They not conduct repairs or maintenance as we submitted requests,. Upon move-out they deducted half of our deposit for cleaning fees and debris removal despite us leaving the property in better condition than it was received to us. They were not willing to itemize and provide visual proof of the specific deductions they made. We highly suspect these charges to not have been accurate since they did not even have evidence of what Items were pre-existing prior to our tenancy and upon our move-out there was no damage or uncleanliness that would be considered above normal wear & tear.. They straight up told us they did not have record our our move-in inspection form we completed with the last property manager, nor anything from that period (they opted to tell us it was OUR responsibility to maintain documentation). When we brought these concerns to the company asking for further documentation including an itemized invoice and copies of bills for what we are being charged they were unwilling to work with us and instead resorted to telling us that they could have charged us more. They cited the ohio revised code on the bare minimum they are required to by law to provide to us to be compliant and were not willing to provide more than that. They also sent us a deposit return check with incorrect information and were asking to charge us $50 to void and issue a check with our correct information. Ive never quite had an experience as unprofessional as this and we were extremely disappointed in their business practices. Renters Beware if you are looking at a property managed by this office.
This rental company scammed me out of $40 and wrongfully denied my application instantly after submitting it. No one answered the phone when I called, just an automated system that refer you to their website. If I can give this company a negative rating I would but that would still be too generous of a rating.
The team here is great. I’ve worked with Brittany and she is incredibly patient with me with my 1000 questions. Phone calls were always taken or returned in a timely manner. Emails quickly responded to. Explanations were detailed. Everything is running smoothly and having this team by my side is a HUGE relief.
Angel, Supervisor/Remax Property Management was very helpful and professional in solving my hot water tank issue. She truly was concerned and could identified with my situation. Angel, personally went out of her way to give excellent customer service and followed up in a timely manner. Thank you Angel!
I have been doing been business with this company for a little over 4 months and wanted to wait to do a review. Angel is amazing, she always answers all of my questions no matter how big or small and my emails are always replied to promptly. I wouldn’t dare do business with any other company. Angel has made these last 4 months so smooth, she really took the worry out of doing business with a new property management company. I wish I could give this company 10 stars, keep up the great work!
Everything started pretty well at first. We were able to find all the available rental properties through their website and apply from that same website. The application process was supposed to take 48-72 hours according to their online agent. After 10 days of checking the website and asking if there were any updates, we were denied. We contacted the company that provided Re/Max with the report, and they told us we were approved by their system. We passed the background check, had the desired credit score, and had the required income as stated on the properties requirements. We did not receive an email stating we were denied and had to find that information ourselves. When we tried to receive feedback on why we werent approved, they turned us away and said they could not disclose that information. They told us to just Try again in 60 days. Terrible process and terrible customer service. On top of that, most of the rental properties are of incredibly poor value. A half bath is not a toilet in the corner of a basement that requires intricate strings to flush.
As an out of state investor the team at ReMax Haven has been a pleasure to work with from acquisition to management. It was a very smooth transition from closing to management. Brooke has been very easy to work with. She is responsive, professional, and very helpful with any concern or question Ive asked her about.
*Update3/19This place has received ALL RENT PAYMENTS ON TIME AND IN ADVANCE. I would NOT be renewing my lease. This company has been so UNPROFESSIONAL from the women in the office to the maintenance department. Due to the pandemic my children are home and because they are not 18 they will like to charge me a fee for a Manatory Inspection. Now if i dont work how do bills get paid? Most jobs need a two week notice but because Re/Max doesnt consider people time and the current situation we are ALL going through. They want to charge because i dont have someone that is 18 to sit around and wait for them. Nor do the want to work with my schedule. I have NEVER been so disappointed with a company in my life. I have had on going issues since i moved in this house. Things half working and half fixed. They rent paid now up until July and still want to make charges to my account because i need a notice. Save the headache and go with a different company.I moved in my property less than 3 months. My basement has flooded twice. The first few weeks of my move electrical work was needed one side of the house I couldnt plug any televisions or anything electrical. I had to wait until service people became available to correct the issue. Later, i discovered all the amenities such as stove, refrigerator, and dishwasher was a piece of trash. The refrigerator doors was falling off and drawers was cracked, the stove eyes was rusted out, and the dishwasher never worked. They said the owner wouldnt replace my doors in the refrigerator because it was functional ( i guess my food falling all-over the place is acceptable) not to mention I had my own refrigerator before moving that i sold. I informed them that i could buy one but they stated I had to move the refrigerator on my own and place it back. The stove i was told they will not replace the rusted eyes. The dishwasher is still pending and its been over 60 days. I have not missed a single payment and has paid on time and there is no compensation for their negligence. This home should of had a walk through from the company before renting. No one should spend over $2000 to move into a home that will cause stress the day of a move in. I am looking to place my money into escrow at this point. Im beyond feed up with this company. No one should ever have to go through this many issues with in 90 days and not be compensated for the landlords lack of. There has been other minor issues ceiling linking, cabinets falling, and no secure front door. I would NEVER rent from this company again.
I truly enjoy working with David, and his entire team! They are simply remarkable property managers. Their team handles rent, collections, repairs and even provide us a nifty portal to see a running history of accounts receivable/payables. They are very professional and responsive to my every little need. I would like to give a special shoutout to Samantha, my POC for day-to-day tasks. Even if were talking about toilets, she is happy to answer the call! I highly recommend Re/Max Haven for their expert Property Management Skills in the Greater Cleveland Area! They are well worth the price!
Our manager, Jenna, is an absolute treat to deal with. She’s helpful, responsive and caring. In fact, all the workers there are the bees knees. Super professional and happy to help. I remember one time, we had an issue at our house and we called her and she had it handled with the quickness. I couldn’t imagine dealing with any other property management group other than these fine people. Give them a call sometime and ask for Jenna, tell her Hector sent ya and she’ll take care of you like nobody’s business. Ten out of ten, would recommend.
I have not yet moved into my rental, so this review is only about the process of applying to rent from Remax. While looking for rentals over the past month, I have reached out to dozens of listings or property managers only to mysteriously never get a response, even to say a property was no longer available. Remax was one of the few to actually return a call and email, and they did so promptly. Specifically, Kylah has been very helpful and responsive via email to questions about the property I ended up renting, letting me know how quickly I needed to move when other interest in the same unit was happening, and clarifications about the lease itself and check-in processes. Thank you Kylah!I was however frustrated by a cumbersome and expensive application process for renting. I understand each tenant needing to apply separately and paying unique costs for background/credit checks. However, Remax also requires a unique application for each *pet*, and each pet application also costs money. The pet application actually took longer to complete than mine did, including required photos of the cats from multiple different angles, proof of their medical records, information about pet insurance, and so on. And all of this is required before even a provisional approval of your application, so you could for example spend $85 (2 people, 2 cats) and more than an hour of your day applying to an apartment just to be told they already gave the place to someone else, or that you arent approved. Make the pet applications free, or at least make them be required only after a provisional approval of the rental application.
This is worst experience weve had trying to rent a property. We were given a move in date of the 29th of November WELL OVER A MONTH AGO! We get a call on the 24th, a day before Thanksgiving and are told that our move in date has been pushed to December 18th due to a compliance issue with the property! This is after putting money down for a deposit, paying for a moving truck to move from Kansas and spending hundreds of dollars in plane tickets. After our own personal investigation we found that an extension can be requested that would allow us to move in as scheduled but Remax thinks its perfectly acceptable to still wait until the 18th of December to address this. STAY AWAY FROM REMAX!
If you are looking to rent I hope this is your only stop. It is hard to find a nice home to rent after searching for over a year nothing fit my needs until I came across this beauty through remax. I viewed the property and worked with Angel to get in my home she was responsive & professional. The whole process aaa smooth sailing. Thank you Angel and remax team I can finally kick my feet up
I wish I could give them zero stars….I have been reporting a bird issue n my home since December….it took them over a month to get an estimate approved and it is now February 14 and I still have birds coming in and out of my house..on top of that my hot water is out and they are taking their time to fix it….the gutter came off the house and that was fixed within hours but my family has to live without hot water for over a week…my family has to live with birds for MONTHS….this company is completely out of control…and before they try me…MY RENT IS ALWAYS PAID ON TIME AND I EVEN CARRY A CREDIT ON MY ACCOUNT…please do NOT rent with this company….
Monica Love is hands down my favorite leasing agent we’ve worked with. Professional, understanding and kind hearted. She was willing to go out her way to help us on our journey to finding a home. She literally showed us homes off and on for almost 6 months! We were in such a place of disappointment with our home at the time. She would let us know about homes she thought would fit our needs. She was right! We found a great place to settle into. I’ve referred her since then to good friends of mine.If she moves on from Remax, I will definitely follow her to her next home management company. If she is still there when we are looking again, no one else will do.Thanks Remax! Thanks Monica!!!
This property management group took over managing the building I live in 2 months ago. I have been stuck in my driveway due to snow for 2 days they do not provide shovels or salt and they do not clear off steps the railing is broken and being held on by a zip tie. I almost fell down the steps because the railing is not sturdy. I put in A maintenance request and it went ignored until I called and spoke to a very rude unprofessional lady who told me the railing is not her responsibility. She told me it is my responsibility For maintenance of the building and that I should put in more maintenance requests if I want anything done even though theyve gone on unnswered for 2 days already. I asked to speak to the broker in charge, Or supervisor and she refused to let me speak to either. I will be putting in my notice to move out ASAP and I have been in the same place for 4 years. I will be also filing complaints with the building department as this building is not up to code
Stay away...Oh me? Just woke up day 1 no hot water. Day 2 no hot water I have to get up without a shower to the hospital so my daughter can have surgery. Same day home pack up my drowsy daughter 4 month old baby and 6 year old daughter to go have a hot shower at a relatives house. Day 3 today no hot water. At work feeling discouraged and disgusting. No morals no empathy no nothing. Oh yeah waiting for approval from owner on fixing the fast leaking water heater. Meanwhile inconvenienced tenants treated like s***. But have the nerves to upcharge 50 dollars more in rent for trash service. I have no clue what happened to the company but I want no parts. I wish this would have been happened before I signed my lease I would live in a barn. Straight down the drain.Oh day 4 no HOT WATER just a continuous stream of water leaking.Day 5 NO hot water just messages on they cant determine when itll be fixed. Still waiting on approval from owner. Lol how nice. No hot water waking my 3 kids up earlier just so I can go have a shower before work at someone elses home and Im a paying tenant. Day 5!!!!!! Water Still running in basement. Who paying this water bill?
Throughout the 7 months Ive rented with Re/Max, Ive not had any issues. They are prompt to respond to complaints and issues when they arise. My interaction with Kylah today was very helpful as she fixed the problem in a few minutes while maintaining a cordial and yet professional interaction. I have enjoyed being a tenant and I hope this doesnt change.
Brittany, my property manager, has been an absolute pleasure to work with. I feel lucky to have her. She works very hard, responds in a timely manner, goes above and beyond to help figure out creative solutions to problems/issues. I would also imagine she is pleasant for the tenants which makes me happy. It is because of her, and my agent, I have had a mostly pleasant experience with investing from a distance. I look forward to bringing more properties on with this company in the near future.
We were shown our first choice home, did the contract and put in all paperwork.2 days later they said somebody else got it but if there are any other houses they have we can get it. Well we looked and found a better home but was told because we didn’t personally see it we can’t have it, keep in mind we had already been approved. The third house we saw and they told us to sign a sight unseen contract so we could rent it even though we saw it. We where not aloud the second because we didn’t see it but could have the third sight unseen. Lindsey was very unprofessional and would not answer direct questions when asked about the 2nd and 3rd home. Plus we were told we could have the keys on the second but because that they were closed that Friday for a team building seminar that I’m sure Lindsey and the office staff didn’t pay attention at if they even went but we were told due to that we couldn’t get the keys until the 10th for something we had no control over. I don’t expect management to respond or right the wrong but I would seriously consider other management companies to rent with or list your home with. We are moving from Tennessee and didn’t have time to waste which this company seems to thrive on.
I have not at all had a Pleasant experience with this company they say they accept section 8 vouchers but all in all they don’t. They operations mgr Kristin told me that if you have anything in your bank account under $100 you are denied. If you accept section 8 vouchers what different do it make how much money in your account further more this is discrimination on Re Max again people on section 8. So if you don’t have more than $100 in your bank account and are on section 8 don’t apply to this companyI am very displeased by the actions of this company. Also just because you don’t have money in bank don’t mean you don’t have money some people’s don’t trust banks this is discrimination
Had multiple occasions where they have billed me for fees incorrectly. Just had an instance where they applied a late fee even though I paid 10 days earlier than rent was due. This is the second time this has happened in the two years I have been here. Very clearly an error-prone process for them.Edit in response to owner: I find it difficult to believe that the fee was automatically applied as it was listed in my account Late Fee (manual).Additionally, the second late fee that I am referring to in my original message is not present on my account, as when your office removes the late fee, it simply disappears from the account (even this most recent one is gone already, thank you). I believe this wouldve been in August of 2020.I fully understand that was I late in March of 2020. That was a completely different situation that was frustrating to work through. As an additional note, the maintenance team has been excellent and responsive.Edit again: When I checked my account this morning, not only was the late fee missing, but additionally one of my money orders had been removed, leaving me with a balance. The agent has fixed it for me already, but still concerning to deal with.
I feel very confident in building my portfolio with them. As an out-of-state investor I found them reliable and accountable. Brittany has been super helpful and very quick to respond to questions or problems that came out. Mike Azzam is probably the best RE to work with in the CLE area. So far my experience has been great.
These are the most incompetent, disrespectful and unprofessional customer service representatives that I have ever experienced. You are clearly just a number to them and there is no regard or sense of urgency to meet your needs. I am so disappointed, especially because there were several properties listed that seemed ideal for my family, but the lack of care and basic respect on the front end makes their properties not even worth it. Maybe if they received some sort of commission opposed to basic hourly wage they would be more compelled to treat potential renters/clients like decent human beings.
Ive only experienced stellar professionalism with Brooke, our Client Relations Manager in Cleveland, Ohio, from Re/Max Haven Realty Property Management. She has promptly resolved any issues we have encountered with our rental property and took the time to explain any questions I presented. I would wholeheartedly recommend this property management company and commend Brooke consistently exceeding expectations.
I am currently working with 3 management companies in different cities. This group has been very professional. Whenever I call with questions they are able to provide clear guidance. They did an excellent job managing the rehab and then found a tenant within a day. I have been happy with the service and would recommend the group to other investors.
Ive been with Remaxx for years and Ive been in communication with most of the ladies in the office but none more than Kylah Ternaux. Shes very respectful and responsive. Any time I have an issue she takes care of it. Shes fair and firm. I have many health issues andKylah and the rest of the staff has been so patient and understanding with me. Ive been in 2 properties with Remaxx and Kylah has been with me every step of the way!
10/10 DO NOT RENT FROM THEM.They have horrible professionalism, they’re NEVER in the office, will leave you on hold for forever. They will show up unannounced, without the 24 hour notice or confirmation that it is okay to enter the property. They charged us late fees for the entire quarantine. We got a $95 fine from the city for overgrown weeds, that same day we went and paid $200 at Home Depot to take care of the situation. And we took care of it that night- the next morning we woke up to a stranger cutting our lawn (We did NOT authorize this). We were NEVER made aware someone would be out to the property to do this even though I called them TWICE the day before to talk about the fine. Now they’re trying to charge us for a service we DID NOT ask for. And in fact they didn’t even know who authorized for a lawn service to come out, nor did Maintence know that a lawn service was being sent out. Due to their lack of care, communication with us, within their office, or the property owner we are now being charged for something we shouldn’t be. We understand the fine is our responsibility. But we will NOT pay for a service we were never aware was going to be happening.By far the absolute WORST company I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They’re rude, disrespectful, and completely incompetent at their jobs. They can’t communicate within their own office let alone their tenants. I will NEVER recommend renting from them, they’ve been nothing but a headache to us.In response to Remax Haven below, I would like it to be known we acknowledge that the city fine should be ours, as we have stated this NUMEROUS times via email and even in the review above. We have NO PROBLEM paying the city fine. What we have a problem with is being charged for a law care service we did NOT ask for or was made aware was happening, especially when we spent $200+ To rectify the situation the same day we heard about the citation. Remax Haven does have a default clause, stating they will take care of any situation 7 DAYS after notifying the tenants of the issue, if it hasn’t been rectified by said tenants. We DID NOT get 7 days to fix the situation, per their own lease, before some strange man was on our property doing yard work. They’re notorious for having people out to the property WITHOUT NOTICE. What makes this worse is I had talked to them 2 times the day prior to the man coming (which is when they notified us of the citation, and NOT once did they mention anyone coming onto the property which they legally have to do.This is a truly heinous company, who will try to screw you over at every turn.
It has been great working with Re/Max. They worked hard at making sure my family found a nice home during a short period of time, which was impressive. Kylah was great during the entire process! My family and I love our new home! It was indeed a blessing. We hope to stay in it for many years to come!
This entire company is amazing and my property manager Sam is absolutely amazing. She is timely, professional, and ensures client concerns are handled. Overall great company, and if you are looking for a company to manage your property look no further because this one is the one for you!!
I applied to a home that’s listed currently . before applying I asked what are the requirements. Just to be sure I will get approved and my money won’t be wasted. But when I applied they told me that they do like a third party approval/denial though something called findigs. Now when I applied it said 1-3days to get my decision hince not even a hr later they send me a email saying why I got denied . Now they say you have to have a credit score of 580-850 ok my score is well over 580 and between that 580-850 I keep up with it and making my payments on time now they emailed me with a bogus score it looked like they type up something in a word doc and just put my name on it and sent it to my email. Now I’m trying to find out where they came up with the info now everyone is pointing the finger oh remax did it oh findigs did the application process. I just think it’s all bogus and fraud . I would suggest you do more extensive research before considering applying for anyone who’s asking for 25-45 bucks for a app fee . It could be a scam . I’m sure they rack up off of the app fees alone . No wonder why the homes listed are on the sites for days and months extended periods of times . It’s ridiculous.
DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!In the three years that we lived there they would make us leave the house unlocked and vulnerable to be broken into or we had to stay home all day and wait for them to come fix stuff , even though they had a key to get in! Then their maintenance people would fix the issues incorrectly and have to be called out multiple times. On one occasion they came out to fix a sink drain 3 times and got it wrong every time even though I told them what they needed to do. In the end I had to fix it myself and they still wouldnt reimburse me for the $5 in plumbing parts that it took to fix the sink. Another time we had a bunch of loose wires in the panel and the lady told me over the phone to go into the panel with a screwdriver and tighten up all the neutrals, this is very unprofessional of them and dangerous! Then they wouldnt come out to fix the problem until we told him that we smelled smoke even then they made his call the city out first. Turns out that the city check the panel and tighten up the neutrals which was causing the wires to overheat which almost caused the house to catch on fire. When we moved in the shower head was not screwed in properlyand it was leaking water inside the wall which caused mold and mildew and tiles to fall off the wall and now theyre charging us to fix all of that even though it was their issue in the first place. The home owners laid new tile over wood floors which caused the tiles to break and the grout to come out in the last 3 years and again theyre charging us for someone elses mistake! They even charged us a $50 late fee when we sent the rent check with signature confirmation and proved they got it on time. Every time we would call to have maintenance done they would suggest over the phone for us to fix it ourselves even if it was dangerous and could kill us like tightening the neutrals inside a panel! They charged us $50 for trash removal when Republic Services came out and got it they didnt even have to touch it and again I have proof of this and they still wont give us our $50 back.Remax Haven Realty Property Management are garbage people and I would never rent or buy from them ever again and I will always till the day I die tell people how horrible they are. I will make sure that my children and my childrens children do the same. You will regret it. These people will make you want to rip out your hair and set someone on fire...... youll be so angry if you rent from these people! We just moved out and they charged us $700 out do of our deposit to patch up stuff from the previous owner who didnt fix the house correctly! I have pictures from the first week we moved in showing all the things wrong with the house and they still charged us for those things to get fixed! They charged us for poor construction on the owners part!I dont like to use hate because its a very strong word , but in this instance I think its safe to say I HATE these people with every fiber of my being!!!
I like how with my bad credit i was easily approved and quickly moved into the home of my choice, i truly appreciate them for that. I planned on living there for about 5 years while i went through school and worked. BUT EXACTLY one year after living in their home they mailed me a letter stating i had to move AFTER already having my house posted on Zillow FOR SALE! Nearly leaving me my son and ill grandmother homeless! After i moved swiftly, they sent me a 750 bill and DID NOT REFUND MY deposit.
I am a new renter and new to working with a property management group. I am very impressed with the service level, professionalism, staff interaction with the client, and the maintenance of the property. Our new home was clean, landscaped, and attention to security was evident as the evening lighting was strategically placed to avoid prying eyes and possible break-ins. Their process was fair and always explained thoroughly - no questions were avoided. Email correspondence with the office staff was excellent - and I LOVE the portal - quick access to help and great accountability regarding payments, etc.
I own Cleveland Junk Hauling And Debris Removal and we love doing business with Remax. They have a very user friendly method of doing assignments and invoicing. Any problems that we may encounter at a property are immediately handled. All of the staff is friendly and helpful to us and we really enjoy working with them.
I believe this company is a total SCAM!! I was interested in renting a property. One day its there on the site available for rent, then literally the next day its gone. After Ive paid for my application fee (per person). Ive left messages online and sent emails regarding the listing. I have yet to receive a call back from them answering any of my questions and concerns.
I had an AWESOME experience in finding the perfect place to live. I contacted my agent, Monica, and received a response within 2 hours. She scheduled an appointment for me to view the property and was there on time. Very professional, friendly and helpful with all questions and concerns during the entire process. I love my new home! GREAT JOB, Monica!
This is one of the worst company I’ve ever dealt with for the last 22 years! Dave is the guy that no one wants to hire as a property manager. He doesn’t want you as the owner to know anything about your future tenant or he will get very personal with you! I mean it. When you ask a question, he tells you that you micro managing him. He said “why are you asking questions”, “I’m doing you a favor” and many more. It’s up to you if you want someone like that to manage your property. For sure, not mine!
No integrity. I am a former renter from 2019 until 2021. This is not the rental management company anyone should go through for their properties. I never expected a company like this to operate in such a slummish fashion. Their maintenance/office personnel are ignorant & unprofessional. I went through maintenance several times for the exact same (but many) issues & I had to threaten with escrow to get them to do anything. A maintenance person tried to intimidate me when I withheld rent for lack of repairs- which I have recorded & witnessed. The same maintenance person mentioned how he’s been to jail, drank alcohol until 4 am that morning, talked about his wife being mad at him, then talked about his coworkers that were heroin addicts. He also offered to buy me items from the store where he bought his materials for the repairs & then charge it to the owners bill. They also refused to wear masks inside the house. I have health conditions that can be compromised from COVID & these people could not comprehend or respect my wishes. Only 1 maintenance person was helpful. There’s still debris on the side of my garage from a year ago. The office personnel were rude, hung up on me when I asked to speak to a supervisor & also decided when they followed their own rules. If you get a certain receptionist she did not want to answer questions & was very rude. I’ve been hung up on by her 3x & I would call back each time to get another receptionist who would then help me out. I work remotely in professional field and if I acted like that I would’ve been fired. I withheld rent several times until they did something about the repairs. I will never rent from them again or suggest anyone to rent from them. They blamed the owner for the lack of repairs saying they refused to fix the issues. I am not having these issues under the new property management company.Update: how the company shows their true ignorance in their replies. I tried to go for another house within Re/Max to rent because the maintenance people & the office people made it look as if the the owner was the problem, refusing to fix the issues & not the company. I figured maybe another rental would be better. Was I wrong! The company is the problem! The person who replied to my earlier review is the same person that thought he would intimidate me when it came to the repairs of the current house! Yelling I’m Puerto Rican & I’ve been to jail! LoL a fool! Showing your lack of basic understanding & comprehension of my review shows you need to find a way to educate yourself. You’re not able to follow the basics of the timeline I’ve succinctly demonstrated. LoL I saw how you responded to others who have had similar complaints as mine. LoL integrity! PLEASE DO NOT GO THROUGH THIS UNPROFESSIONAL SLUM COMPANY TO RENT OR HANDLE YOUR PROPERTIES! See how a company acts in the most childish way for their behavior & being held accountable! Do not go to bat with me & thank you for putting my personal business on the web because you cannot handle a review that can be backed with video & screenshots. Maybe I’ll add those.
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. I would not recommend ever renting from them EVER. I live in a duplex, the upstairs unit and my downstairs neighbors have been giving us problems since day 1. It started with driveway issues, they constantly block the driveway, the management of ReMax was notified of the issues and sent letters out stating if the problem continued more action would be taken. Our property was then damaged by the downstairs neighbor not once BUT TWICE and she has threatened me and my significant other. She has been causing problems since day 1 and making our living situation unsafe. The management of ReMax has been notified of all the times we have had to call the police, which is more than I can count off the top of my head. Our neighbor was charged for the damage she did to our property and charged for the threats. ReMax management is stating they can not do anything about the situation, which is beyond wrong to me. Our living situation is unsafe and we can not even feel safe in our own home or even enjoy our home. I’ve even spoke with the city and they don’t understand why she is still living here. ReMax has not held up on their end of stating they would take care of the issue if it continued. The issue is still continuing and not ending and ReMax has done nothing. We have only lived here for 2 months and it has been the worst.
The customer service at this rental property is terrible. The maintenance manager Jake never calls you when you have an issue. There is no point of contact for emergencies, they will not pick up the phone. I have been in my home for 3 days now with no heat and hot water due to a furnace and water heater issue that has not been addressed. They keep giving me the run around saying Jake will call and he never does. It is 40 degrees out side and we are in a home quarantine with no heat and hot water. I would not recommend this rental property to anyone. I can not wait till we more. This has been a terrible experience.7/30-Have not had AC for several weeks. No timeline can be given by Jake on when this issue will be resolved. Called office in June regarding issue with AC and no one came out. The AC end up going out completely. First service appt was 7/24. I reached out to the owner David Terbeek to get possible resolve. Hopefully I receive an update soon. This company has terrible customer and maintenance service. I would not recommend.8/10- Still no call has been received from David Terbeek to voice concerns with staff regarding customer service. Left another voicemail and sent email today. I would not recommend this company.7/13/2021Now they no longer answer the phone. This company is horrible. Same issue. A/C unit is leaking again like last year. They are going to wait til it completely breaks before I receive service. Their customer service is terrible when you need assistance.7/19The responds that you are referring to Is it more than normal condensation I informed you Yes I also informed you that this same issue has happened every year that I have been here. You could have also reviewed the notes before asking that questions to see that this is a continued issue. Is stead of wasting time with that question. It also has been neglected every year and causes a bigger problem. It is now July 19th and no one as sit been to my home to address this issue. I tried calling into the office. Which they no longer take phone calls. I left a message on the voicemail. No one has returned my call. So thank you for continuing to neglect the issue. Your team monitors your social media a Google accounts more than you do your Customer Service or maintenance emails. This is the only way to get some kind of fire under your team to answer. MY AC UNIT STILL HAS NOT BE SERVICED. PLEASE ADDRESS THIS ISSUE.7/20 AC Unit is now officially out and making a loud knocking noise do to the neglect of my initially service request. I guess I will have to wait and see how long it take for them to address this issue now. Im sure they are watching this Google account closer that the service request site.
I been staying in my apartment for 7 years since remax took over slum lords. They never clean the apartments hallways or laundry room. When it snow they dont put out salt and barely plow the driveway. Backyard trashy quick to try to take people to eviction court if you so far as 2 weeks late. And have the nerves to charge $800 a month to live in a filthy apartment building. This will be my last year.
I started working with Monica some time in January and it has been a great experience. She is friendly, personable, knowledgeable about this industry, and always willing to help. Thanks to her efforts to help me find a home, I will be moving at the end of this month. If you’re looking for a company to help you ReMax is the one. Please ask for Monica in your journey for house shopping!!
Horrible customer service. Good luck getting someone to answer the phone. Takes two days to get someone out just to look at a maintenance issue. Add three to four days for it to be fixed, hopefully. You have to manage your work orders with the contractor assigned to your rental otherwise nothing will get done. All they do is place the work order and call it in. If you don’t follow up yourself you’ll be SOL. Also they DO NOT have an emergency maintenance line so pray nothing happens during non working hours.Lease and ad stated that the rental home came with a dish washer but at move in no dish washer was present. Had to get a lawyer involved and they finally gave us a dish washer. Only problem is that it was a counter top dishwasher not a full size dish washer. Like who the heck uses a counter top dishwasher in a 3 bed room house?!Edit: As you can tell from the other reviews, they put a lot into the relationships with the home owners but don’t care about the renters once you’ve signed the lease and handed over your deposit. Proceed with caution.
Bought the house I rented for 7 years. Remax is Awful place. Took my money orders 10 min later gave check back and rudely said we evicting you!! Then got court eviction date and property damage court date. For 8000$ I did no damage! House bought as is! One month earlier. Would give in 0 stars. Manager snotty said have great w/e. After dropped. That bomb!! All who work there know what is happening. God. Will judge
I’ve leased 2 properties with Remax. Both times I’ve done my signings with Kylah. And both times she’s exceeded my expectations. I’ve never had to ask any questions about anything! She was very informative and handled things in a way that made the process much easier than in the past when dealing with other rental companies. Thanks for that!
I have been in a rental property of RE/Max Haven for almost 16 months, and I have to say my experience has been excellent. First, my adult son and I love our house! And we are very picky! LOL! Second, working in a professional career myself, I am sometimes saddened by the lack of competence sometimes found in the workplace these days. This is the first time I have dealt with a professional property management group and I have been more than impressed with Re/Max - they seem to understand and get the concept of customer service! From the rental agents to the service personal everyone has been ready to assist, friendly, courteous and knowledgeable about their jobs and responsibilities. I have also had the opportunity to work closely with their office manager - Kylah Ternaux, who has promptly responded to each of my inquiries and has truly been a pleasure to work with. Finally, I love their Tenant Portal too, makes it easy to check on records. As long as we are in the area, I hope to be a client of Re/Max for sometime.
So far Remax has been great! Ive mainly dealt with Diane and Brittany and these two are very responsive toward my emails. I love how they care about my concerns and they take the time to address each of my questions. I look forward to working with them and I know I am in great hands.
I love Remax. Everything has been super simple from the get go. Very responsive when it comes to any concern. I emailed late last night well past office hours with a time-sensitive issue, and Kylah got back to me first thing in the morning and took care of everything I needed! As long as you keep communication open they are more than willing to work with anything you need!
This is beyond the worst experience I have ever had. This is my 5th rental and to begin with they don’t have 1 person working with your application they have 5 so it can get quite confusing. The day I received the keys I went to the house to clean and it was filthy, after being there for 5 hours I felt sick and decided to go back to my hotel, the following day I find out that the house that they said is move in ready had 2 major gas leaks, it took me 4 days to get remax to return my call or care that if I would have moved my family in that could have been extremely harmful. Next, I submitted a partial payment online, I woke up the following day with 3 different withdrawals of that same amount, I only received 1 confirmation email and the tenant account only showed 1 payment when I made the payment. Remax is telling me it is my fault, they cannot do anything after the payment has processed, I can go cancel with my bank but they will charge me a $30 fee and I will have to pay in certified funds for a couple months.
Professional and most importantly genuine. Things dont always go perfect, renovations take longer than expected, maintenance isnt always as fast as I would like; however when mistakes happen they make it right. I have never felt any manipulation or worried that something shady was going on. These are good people running a good business.
I have had nothing but problems with the housing and management. The house looked great until I actually moved in and found nothing but bigger problems hidden under paint and poor maintenance. When I did call about a problem they did not respond in a timely manner and had to come back four different times for the same problem. I would not recommend looking for housing through this company unless you are ready for the headache and to be treated poorly by employees and managers.
Typical slum landlord- lying and deceitful- bait and switch once they have your money- disgustingly unresponsive, you might get 1 email or text PER DAY- no returned calls- they post units and properties that are no longer available and dont tell you until after you put down a deposit that its no longer availablebut feel free to check our website for what we do currently have available and we can transfer your deposit to another unit....Ive lived in Cleveland for 20 years, Ive rented multiple different units from many different companies. This is by LEAPS AND BOUNDS THE WORST MANAGEMENT COMPANY IN OHIOSTAY FAR AWAY FROM ANY OF THEIR PROPERTIES!!!
After calling 3 times to make sure closing the lease was going smooth they said all 3 times we will close all utilities upon ending the lease. If any charges are made it will come out of your deposit. That was a lie I was charged well into march weeks after my lease . These people barley work any hours to and could literally careless how their tenants are . Idk how this place is running .
I have had a wonderful experience with working REMAX. Monica went out her way to help me find a home and I love it. They are very quick if something needs to be repaired. Also the ladies at the office were very sweet and professional straight to business. I would definitely recommend them.
I do not like to write reviews because things can always change, but Angel at Remax has always been a great person to call for help. She returns emails promptly and every answer to my questions has always been precise. Thank you Angel from Remax for doing your job great!!!
Great Property Management & Michael Azzam is a rockstar Realtor! Staff is friendly, professional, and attentive to all property owner needs. I was an out of state property owner that was hundreds of miles away and Remax made me feel comfortable and assured that my property was in great care. After dealing with other property management companies that caused me nothing but headaches and poor service, I am glad to have called Remax Haven and signed up with them. A+!
I guess a good or bad experience is very often linked to the person(s) you are dealing with, and not necessarily reflect the company itself. However, I must say that the few people from Remax I had to deal with were very professional and reactive. I can only recommend.
Remax is a well run company, no matter who I deal with I feel as if their efforts are that of the owner. As a contractor it is important to have a client that respects a business relationship. This creates a great foundation for a long lasting relationship, since in my opinion money is secondary and will always come with a well established mutually gratifying situation. The entire team at Remax goes above and beyond to achieve this satisfaction! Highly recommend to any perspective resident since I hear the many positive experiences directly from current residents with Remax when I am in their home completing work orders. A great testament is when my own employees comment the same back to me about Remax! A special thanks to Dave, Brittany, Allison, Brooke, Jake, Kristin, Kylah, Nailah, and Gwynn who make it all possible! If I could I would name them all in first order!
They left a Notice To Leave Premises (within 3 days) on the door due to non payment of rent when rent was already withdrawn from our bank account by them! And when I called today to find out why, they are closed and have no way to even leave a message or get through to them! Won’t be open until tomorrow (Friday)! That would be day 3! Would love to discuss this with them in a sensible way to find out why they took out the money but didn’t apply it to rent...but can’t contact them in any way.
Poor business conduct and deceptive business practices. I purchased my 1st property through Mike Azzam and I was directed that his team will handle the rental property(Remax Haven - David T. and his team). This team puts only there interest first by paying them self first and there contractors(wont be surprised if they get kick-back) and not the landlord. Worst mgmt company. If you sign up with them you are guaranteed to lose many if your an out of state investor. They would least care if landlord is making any money or not. Only them or there contractor should make the money.I was lied to for many things. I was told there was 1 tenant living in the house when buying the home when there were 3 tenants(tenant said Remax knew there were 3 people). The interior photos on zillow when i purchased did not highlight the true pic when i saw the real pics of the house later after tenant leaving. The windows were shot by due to tenants family disputes and tenant agreed to fix the windows and pay. I was told by david that i will not get refunded and tenant is not going to pay. They put the expense on my end and told him he is not responsible/
I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience so far here with Remax. From the warm welcome you get from walking in the door and being greeted by lovely individuals to the maintenance guys who take care of you promptly and with a smile. Kylah is a great manager as well and handles all situations very professionally and takes into consideration with anything you have concern with. Not only does she take care of things responsibly, she takes care of them as promptly as possible. Ive yet to have a bad experience with anyone that works here and Im glad the staff that is here is here. Its nice to be living in a place with as much comfort as possible and to know that if anything were to go wrong, that it would be fixed as soon as possible.
We did not have a good experience. The house was not cleaned prior to move in and issues they promised to fix before move in werent fixed until months after the cost was approved to patch peeling paint. The home itself was not move in ready condition. Some of the appliances were not plugged in. They dropped them off knowing that the outlet for the stove needed an adapter. We spent the first week of our move in date cleaning their messes. There is no emergency phone number for maintenance. We will never rent from remax again.
This company does not care about the home owners that live next door to the rentals! The police have been called on the downstairs tenants several times for parking in the grass, blocking the sidewalk. As well as not allowing the upstairs tenants access to the shared driveway. Feel free to contact me directly if you would like to discuss.
David and his team are one of the most professional managing companies I have dealt with. They are always trying to improve the service, find solutions to the never ending issues related to tenants, city, regulations and so. If you are in Cleveland and require a management company for your investment, I highly recommend these guys!
The manager Jenna is what has me coming back, this location has a great set of people. They are wonderful and so sweet and always working hard!!! It is also a very busy location and the employees are just so darn nice and great.. Thank you!! I know how hard it can get sometimes, but let me tell you this staff is the best.. Thank you again Jenna McKinnon..
If you rent from them be expecting random charges that you wont be able to dispute and they will continue to charge you. We mowed our lawn then they sent out lawn-care service and charged us for cutting a lawn that was mowed literary the day before. They had late fees going the entire time we were unemployed due to Covid-19. I cant wait for the lease to end to get away from this company and will never ever look to them again. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
The office staff are very helpful and considerate. The ladies and that one guy in the front office always greet me with a smile when I stop in at the office and answer any questions I have. They’re very transparent and explain what my rights are as a renter under the law.
We only been with ReMax/ Haven for a couple of months, but they are great at responding to our inquiries with regards to our property. The owner’s website is very clear. Samantha was very helpful and patiently explained to us whatever questions we have and gave us informative suggestions. We are very happy with my services! Thank you!
- No one answers the phone or returns calls- They continue to have properties listed months after they are rented out in an effort to gain as much traffic as they can, bad business- They are a company full of shady scammers that only care about money, no properties are taken care of properly; theyve had the board of health out to inspect multiple properties they own and manage- Disgraceful, shameless company looking to con every penny they can from people
Do not let the REMAX name fool you. These people just collect rent for dead-beat owners. Any repairs other than minor things are not done, the anonymous owners are blamed and they say their hands are tied. They simply cant comprehend that our lease is with REMAX/HAVEN and not the invisible owners, if they even exist, and they as the lessor are responsible to uphold their obligations in the lease. We have been treated as if we should be thankful that they allow us to pay them rent as if they cannot respect anyone who rents from them.
Re/Max Haven Realtys property management division was recommended for their proactive and comprehensive skill set. Im glad I made the choice to select them. Dave Terbeek, Brooke Berger and the rest of the staff are absolute professionals and I wholly recommend their services.
I havent even been to my new house yet and this company has already dissapointed me exponentially. I was told through email and chat that I could arrive for my key pick up by 4. On my drive over after calling off work for the past week, moving all my belongings into trucks, and hiring movers, they told me they were actually going to close an hour earlier than the pick up time I was given! When I asked them to stay open until the agreed upon time of 4 they said they usually end key pick up by 3. I sent them screen shots of our conversation and asked if they would take my appoinment before their closing time or atleast reschedule me for the next day given that the issue was through no fault of mine.. But knowing all this and admitting they were at fault for sending false information, they still are not allowing me to come on any of their other fully open days until Friday just because which is when I said my week long break will end and Ill be working/ out of state for 2 weeks. Im hoping that due to the unusual nature of my problem and that this was entirely a problem on the customer service teams part, they would recognize their extreme error and that they would be gracious enough to email me immediately and set up a more reasonable date and dare to give me a key outside of the 2 standard pick up days considering Ive already had this date pushed back 2 times, 2 seperate weeks and that Ill be able to use all the money and time I put into this move. But as of right now I would never recommend this company to anyone, and am already beggining to regret putting my trust into this misinforming and unprofessional company!
I really do not like the companies policies and should have thought about what I was doing before signing a lease after paying doubled security deposit. This home isnt worth that much security when it doesnt even provide me security! The side door doesnt have a screen door! It has a large opening along the bottom of the door thats big enough for cold hair to come through. I can feel the air all the way in my kitchen area! Its big enough for mice to come through! There arent any locks on the handles of my doors. Very unsafe and easy to be broken into. My windows do not open only 2 throughout the house. Meanwhile its my responsibility to fix all of these problems with my own money which is ridiculous! Im not asking for anything unessary! Im asking for safe locks on my doors which my 3 year old some can reach and unlock! and a screen door to keep cold air out and rodents!!! I really hate what Ive gotten myself into!
Although the customer service is on point the ball is dropped when a real issue is occurring. I dont recommend working with this management company, especially if theyre not going to adhere to the leasing contract. In addition to finding a live bat in the house PRIOR to my moving in, the doors, floors, cabinet, and appliances were filthy. My lease time frame is typically between 3-6 yrs. The end of my lease with remax cannot come fast enough.UPDATE: Even though I notified the company that I discovered dead bugs throughout the house when I moved in, they refused to exterminate 3 months later in the spring when ants became active. I literally live in a house full of and.
Horrible/frustrating experience Ariel who may be a robot told us to get a co-signer we did then had us send in all of our stuff etc. then essentially gave us a bunch of reasons as to why they couldn’t help us-was going to put two months rent as deposit, provided my bank statements-was even going to do the rentals landscaping etc free of charge but she replied with 1-2 sentence responses! Property investors I’d use someone else-renters they just going to give you the run around so you mine as well search else wear. All in all I learned one thing(DONT USE REMAX)
This place has some very unprofessional employees. The one in particular is Maria. I called to have my front door repaired before its extremely hard to open, (which is a fire hazard) she tells me well you have a side door Then says it opened during the inspection its just sticking on the carpet. This lady needs training preferably Emotional intelligence training, anyway the carpet does not reach the bottom of the door and the frame of the door is clearly sagging. I cant believe they have this woman working there.
I have been with remax for 6 years n i absolutely love them but what keeps me is the girls kristin kylah !! n brooke she in the back now but still those girls definitely r the best n ive seen alot come n go but if they ever left that place would b horrible lol thnks yall for the excellent customer service n listening to me when i needed somebody!! Give them a raise for sure!!!
I fill out application for a property on Thurs called on Tuesday that house is no longer available then they say your income not high enough I made mistake put 5.00$ on it. But never the lest how is the house no longer available I believe they had it in the market to sell but had all of these people put in applications for that 25$ a pop Monica Love she is the worst ever .Every house I called about oh that’s no longer available. Then they say we will keep your application for six months what’s the point if I failed the process If you can run from this company run fast every time I called spoke to different person that say one thing other person say something else NO REMAXX HAVEN PLEASE I would give a zero for my review
I have just started using Re/Max Haven Realty and so far they have come out strong with a firm understanding of the market and what needs to be done to manage properties and a back office that is on top of all of the details of bringing on a new owner. Once we get a few good months under our belts Ill be back to give 5 stars
Not terribly happy with this PM. I think its poor practice to tell your vendors the amount of our cap so that they can invoice exactly up to that specific amount with zero pushback from anyone. They should quote out the job BEFORE working on it to make sure they are spending our money wisely. At best, Im not seeing much interest in minimizing our costs.
I cant put into words how helpful, understanding, and patient Kylah was with me. She in my eyes went above and beyond when I was in a tough spot. She didnt give up and she followed up day by day and hour by hour. She made me feel like I mattered and not just a tenant blowing me off. When I wanted to give up, she pushed for me and for that I am forever grateful! Thank you Kylah!
I called in once in the morning once in the afternoon to speak with a consultant who called me and each time she was unavailable. Never replied to my email, although they hassled need to submit my application payment. Both times I called I had to speak to another person and both were very rude just based of the questions I had. It’s really frustrating when you’re trying to get out a concern of your or a Inquiry and people just talk over you.
They are not very thorough and do make occasional mistakes or overlook things that can cost you thousands of dollars. The most you will get is a sincere apology!Having said that, a lot of the property managers I have dealt with are the same so good luck finding a good one!
Run as far as you can. If you have to rent go to a private owner . I have rented from them for three years and now that there are major plumbing issues its been almost a month if not a month and still havent been fixed. If you can buy, buy it rent from someone independent
I’m totally satisfied with this management team they took great care of me and the well-being of my family and I they made sure that everything was intact with the property before moving my family and I highly recommend this management team for your next move in experience I give them five stars if I can give them 10 I will give them 10
Poor customer service. I have called the office several times prior, the very FEW times I have gotten someone on the phone they are rude and dismissive, when asking about properties. I would leave messages asking for a return call or email no one followed up. It’s been 3 weeks. Terrible business.
I moved in a property later to find out after I moved the basement leaks they never fixed it their on people said it’s the foundation I dealt with it for over a year and have videos to prove I moved out and they charged me for a month that I wasn’t even there horrible people!!!!!!!!!
There all around a bad company horrible employees with even worse people skills and they way they have the billing set up they dont even understand it and better hope nothing financially happens and ur late not only will you be hit with a late fee which is perfectly fine and understandable but they will actually charge you a legal/lawyer fee even though thats not in the lease which is unlawful dont do business with these people nothing but ignorant crooks they will charge u for everything they possibly can and will fix nothing

2022-06-21Applying for homes with them is a process. If you find a home and qualify you have to inbox first to get it. Ive seen at least 20 homes before I got mine. The home is decent. Looks like they rushed and fixed it to rent it quickly. Had issues with my ac and basement plumbing in the first week. Once you open a request online they are pretty prompt at repairing things. Overall I am happy with remax so far. I never had my issues fixed this quick with any other company before.

2022-02-20Daves team was awesome. When we brought the property to Daves team, it was vacant for more than 3 months as previous PM was not able to fill it. Once we moved to Daves team, they found the stable tenant within 2 weeks. Awesome communication from Dave and his team during our stay with them till we sold the property last year. We recommend Dave and his team to anyone without reservation.

2022-07-15I rented a property managed by Remax for about 3 years. It was a pretty good experience. For the most part the staff is all very helpful. I especially like Ariel. She was always kind and went the extra mile to help when I had problems. Unfortunately due to financial issues after losing my son to cancer in October of 2021 and my mom in January 2022, I was having trouble paying the rent before the due date, which would result is an eviction being filed. However, I always got the rent paid, plus the fees, to stop the eviction. But we ended up having to move as they don’t wish to renew our lease for another year. I can understand their point of view. But I do wish they would’ve given me more than a 45 day notice to find a new home. With the housing market as bad as it is, I anticipate it being difficult to find a new home so quickly. I fear us being homeless by September. But other than this, Remax was a good experience and would recommend them. And despite what the other reviews say, the customer service chat isn’t that difficult to use. And the agents reply very quickly.

2022-02-10Really deserve NO stars. This company is HORRIBLE. Rented a house from out of state and when arrived the house was a total mess, clothes left in the washer and dryer. Very very dirty. Storm doors and windows broken. Notated it and gave it to the office. Time to move out and No one seems to know where the form is or remember me turning it in. Now they are holding a security deposit. During the year, you can never talk to anyone and they never want to fix anything. Everything is cosmetic so they won’t fix it and they Charge for it at move out. Over charged for utilities after speaking with the utility companies myself. This company should be shut down. They are SO unprofessional. I wouldn’t recommend a beg bug to stay there. Horrible Horrible Horrible. And they have the nerve to use Remax name. I should’ve known they were scammers when they use the name of a good company to promote the mess they have.

2022-05-19This company is the worst company I’ve ever experienced. I had to take my money to escrow just to get things fixed in the house I was renting. It’s hard to get in touch with anyone and when you do they are very unprofessional and smart mouthed. They will try to charged you hidden fees that’s not in your lease agreement. The employees are nice to you until you move in and have a complaint. I had so many issues with this company. I will never rent or renew with them. I am telling you, PLEASE DO NOT move into any of their properties. You will truly regret it.

2022-05-27After giving a 30-day notice to a negligent property management company, I was worried and anxious to find a suitable property management company since I am thousands of miles away from the properties, let alone in a short time. But Gabrielle Gratz put my mind at ease a few minutes after our first phone conversation. Her temperament is friendly, patient, attentive, and responsive, answering my questions, addressing my concerns, and giving me time to make decisions. Once I signed the contract, I thought there would be no more attention like my previous property management company. How wrong I was! I was greeted personally by co-owner David Terbeek and his continued attention even before the contract became effective. David’s down-to-earth manner and responsible attitude made me feel more comfortable. Yet, not until I communicated with my client account manager, Jessica Guidas, that I knew that I had made the right decision to choose Re/Max Haven Realty Property Management. Jessica is warm, energetic, organized, and dedicated to taking care of our properties. In just a few days, she gets the property running smoothly. No matter how many problems I brought to her in a panic at any time of the day, she always calmed me down, solved them promptly, and communicated with me the progress. On the business side, Re/Max Haven Realty Property Management is transparent: a simple contract with no-hidden agenda, itemized fee schedules, optional offered options, readable monthly statements, and to-the-minute activity notifications. Re/Max Haven Realty Property Management’s management fees are reasonable with high-standard services.I cannot think of anything else to ask for a Property Management Company, and I am proud of myself for fining RE/MAX.

2022-06-02Ariel has been great to work with as I go through the application process for a Re/Max listing. We have been communicating via email and she responds within 10 minutes, very impressive! She has been nothing but friendly, informative and patient through this process

2022-06-23Ariel did an amazing job helping get us all set up. She was very patient with me and all of my questions. Ariel made the time rush of a process easier and helped explain everything. The one thing I will mention with the process that you need to know, dont hesitate and timing is everything. The chat is the most effective way for communication, unless you have an actual consultants email.
