Kind of out in the country however the trip was well worth it love seeing the grow out systems an all of the aquaculture corals an the care that goes into the place I definitely well suggest this aa a must stop an see place.

The staff at reef systems coral farm are the nicest most knowledgeable people I have met in this hobby. I first met them when my tank was crashing. The owner took way more time then he should have to make sure not only that my tank survived but that I understood how to fix it and maintain it on my own. The corals they sell are clean and always thrive in my tank. They take extra time to make sure any fish bought from them are clean and will not harm your system. I will never go anywhere else!
The staff there during my visit were very helpful and knowledgeable. They have a very large selection of corals and a decent selection of fish. Im sure Ill be making many more trips back.
Its a super nice place. I love the fact you can go back and basically see there entire system. Dont expect a pretty, flashy store but do expect awesome tanks and displays. They have supper healthy corals and fish. They can answer most any questions you have.

Awesome place to get your coral tank going . Derek Bowers spent a lot of time with us informing of everything necessary to get a tank established. He knew about more than just coral, fish and placement as well... a must go to place if you are a beginner or even an expert!!
If you have a reef tank this is the place to go. Very knowledgeable staff, Derek Bowers was great. Very friendly and he knows not just corals, but a wide variety of fish and invertebrates and how to set up and take care of your tank.

We found Reef Systems a year after getting into the saltwater aquarium hobby and I cant say enough good things about them. Todd and staff go above and beyond to answer their customers every question. They are honest and are only willing to sell you equipment that works and livestock that will thrive unlike the other aquarium stores around that took thousands of our dollars on ineffective hardware and incompatible corals for the tank setup they sold us. Todd and team corrected our setup, got our tank stable, and we have an amazing and thriving ecosystem with the peace of mind we have top notch support to quickly identify and correct any issues that inevitably due arise in this hobby. Todd has strong opinions on how to setup a tank but that is because he knows what works and that knowledge has saved me years and a lot of money in the trial an error process I was working through on my own.
Always quarantines and will tell you of any issues in there tanks before you buy. Excellent koi also.
They are a great shop with an amazing concept, but The costumer service could have a slight improvement. The staff is also friendly, and the prices are good! Over all, this is an amazing store, and the corals are great. Definitely stop here if you are in town!
This is now my only store that I go to because of the amazing staff and helpful service. Todd may be a bit fast pace but, he is the most knowledgeable person you could talk to about fish and corals. Right now I have a 60 gallon cube and, because of Todds help he has made it my favorite hobby and my tank a prized possession to me.
I’ve been going to Reef Systems Coral Farm for several years. I have never seen this place so busy on an anniversary sale. In spite of it being so busy Todd went out of his way to fix my sump and I was so grateful for his help. He will always have my business. My hats off to Nathan and the rest of the crew for always helping me when I’m there and even after hours if I have a issue Todd will always find a way to help. Todd and the employees at reef systems are great! They are honest, knowledgable, and helpful. They sell you the right thing for your aquarium. Unlike other aquarium stores that just try to sell you whatever makes them the most money. They have great prices and know how to get you a sustainable reef setup. Todds extensive background doing research with universitys like The Ohio State University and Otterbein University gives him strong opinions on how a tank should be kept, but its never served me wrong and his shop is living proof that he is one of the best in the country. If youre in the market for Choral, this is THE place to go.On the other hand, if youre only going there because its your 35th wedding anniversary, which gift is Choral, then this is THE place to go!Having not even known that choral are animals - really, they arent plants, my wife and I enjoyed walking around and seeing all the different types, sizes, and colors. It was a really cool - yes odd anniversary gift - but cool thing to do for 30 minutes.Go there!
Alot of cool corals. If you make a road trip to get there, wear a depend under garment, because they wont let you use the restroom to pee.

Awesome corals, super knowledgeable about all things coral reef related! You might have to wait a few minutes to talk to a staff member, but it is definitely worth it! They are honest and trustworthy, and more than willing to help you!
Owner is very one sided. As soon as I walked in the door I was hounded by him bragging about how much he knew and experience he had. I couldnt even look for myself. My grandfather who was with me walked out. All his marine fish look sick! I will never go back to this shop. I will stay with my local supplier and drop my cash there. I have spend thousands of dollars on my tanks and he lost out as me being a client.

Visited a yr ago when I first started my salt tank. Owner was arrogent and acted as if I didnt do as he said my system would always fail. I cant stand a one sided answer when there are tons of ways to run a tank. His prices are way higher than most but had a nice sore front in front of his house. Will never return and hope others fallow suit

One guy told me the price of the rock so I picked some ok out then the guy at the register told me a completely different price that wasnt even on any of the signs

Called for an estimate on cleaning my fish tank and had to listen to the owner ( Todd ) brag ( for about 15 minutes ) about how many accounts he has and how much everyone loves him only for him to tell me he doesnt care about new clients, only his existing ones and that he wouldnt have time for me.😅 It was absolutely bizarre.
Happened upon this business when in the area to pick up a used aquarium. Todd took an hour on my first visit there to discuss my future plans and his reccomendations on how to have a successful reef tank even though I was just stopping in and not buying anything that day. After this encounter I have been driving there from the Dayton area for all of my livestock needs. Between the aquacultured corals and the fish being held for 2 months before they will sell them everything has been very healthy. Todd and Danny have been very helpful as I venture back into this hobby again after a 16 year break.

2022-03-15The tanks are clean and the staff is knowledgeable about their animals. The owner is very honest. My wife had her eye on a coral beauty and he warned us the fish had just arrived and had had a rough shipment.. They will quarantine any fish you buy from them for a small fee which is outstanding. They have tanks specifically dedicated to captive bred fish which. Many stores its difficult to even find tank bred fish. There was a healthy selection of invertebrates and the coral was all very healthy and grown on site.

2021-12-18Went in today after seeing a random ad. My experience here was amazing!Todd the owner took about 45 minutes of his own time to ask me about my tank, my parameters, equipment, and goals for my reef. He shared his 30 years of reefing experience to me, in addition to the logic, chemistry, and biology behind his methods. He gave me spread sheets and drew diagrams to help me. And all of this was without him trying to sell me anything. He truly just has a passion for this hobby and wants everyone he meets to be successful. This is the only store where I have seen the owner present at the front of the store and trying to spread their experience for the benefit of others. A great guy with a massive amount of knowledge for this hobby!The store is not like a typical reef store with ten kinds of testing kits, a dozen varieties of fish food, or multiple types of lights. The shop sells only what they truly believe to be the best out there, and what they personally use. Even if they could make way more money off providing expensive tests kits and such, they do not; purely because they want whatever they sell to be what they believe is best for the customer. Overall it is obvious that they value their customers more than the profits.All of the other employees were kind, intelligent, helpful, and honest.One great thing about this aquarium store is that they quarantine everything. And they dont quarantine things the minimum amount, they go above and beyond to ensure the fish, invertebrates, and corals are the best quality possible. For instance some of the corals are quarantined 1-2 years before being put in the customer tanks. And all of the corals are absolutely stunning and thriving. And the prices are extremely affordable considering their size and the time-consuming quarantining process they go through.This is the most impressive, customer-oriented, and experienced reef store I have ever been in. If you live anywhere near Columbus/Ohio, this should be the place you go to. After today, this is the only place I want to go to.

2022-04-22Todd immediately engaged with me when I walked through the front door. He asked what I was looking for but then went on to ask more questions about my tank setup so he could provide the best advice, not just sell product. He carries only the products he believes in. He genuinely cares about the hobby and wants people to succeed. Take a look at his website in the about section. He has bios of his employees and goes into great detail about his mission, plus Todd’s resume is stellar, which is the reason his farm is so fantastic. I will be supporting Reef Systems from now on, no more online conglomerates making questionable YouTube videos for me.

2022-01-09The ownership and staff at reef systems are great people. I have been back in the reef keeping hobby for about a year now after closing down my last tank about 10 years ago. During my 10 year absence in the hobby it seems to me that there has been an influx of reef keeping information some good and some bad. I had started my newest tank with the help of another local fish store closer to where I live. Things started to go south and my tank was not looking good. After speaking with Todd and his staff at reef systems I felt that many of the instructions that were given to me by the local fish store were just not accurate or is just a recipe for disaster. After being at Reef systems just one time I looked around awe and new instantly that they were on a whole different level than my local fish store. I could only hope to be a fraction as successful at reef keeping as reef systems. If you are thinking of getting into the reef keeping hobby or are wanting to start another tank check these guys out. I wish I hadthe knowledge that they have given me before I chased problems with my tank for months.

2022-01-06Quarantine procedure and fish conditioning is a joke. Todd is the biggest BSer in the hobby. Acts like nothing enters his farm with out being in quarantine for a year when he brings in coral from client tanks. The same client tanks that have fish and coral from other stores in the city. If you visit the store most times the 900g display tank will be covered in film algae or coraline you cant even see in. Dude will sell you 3000 dollars in lights and turn around and not apply the same lighting principles to his frag tanks. If you want fed a line of BS this is the place for you.

2021-12-18Highly impressed with the coral selection.. but the owner is rude to customers. Very disrespectful to his employees. Straight up told his employee that he didn’t know anything and he would take care of the customer, in front of the customer. Very appalled by the actions of the owner in my short time there. Will not be going back as I refuse to support him for the mistreatment.

2020-06-07Absolutely amazing! Ive never seen so many different kinds of corals! I could spend all day there just watching the corals sway in the current. The staff is super knowledgeable and will answer any question you have. My mother and I had the privilege to speak with the owners which live next door and they are incredibly nice people. I will be a lifetime customer for ad long as I live. LOVE! THIS! PLACE!

2020-11-28They saved my tank! I was on the verge of getting out of the hobby or replacing $700 worth of live rock as advised by a different lfs. Todd came over to my house to look at my tank and within a week, he had his crew scrub off all the algae off of the rocks. That was over a year ago and with their help, my tank is clean and healthy. Andy does a phenomenal job of maintaining our tank and I appreciate all the time and advice from everyone at the store, especially Todd who has taken my calls and answers my texts even after hours for emergencies. Definitely recommended!
