We just moved here yesterday from New Mexico. Our rental experience with Redwood has been perfect from the start. We were blessed to find Redwood because many other property management companies won’t allow German Shepherd dogs because they consider them an “aggressive breed.” But Redwood is fine with our 2 German Shepherd dogs.Beth, the property manager is wonderful! She made us feel very welcome. Our apartment is immaculate—new flooring throughout, spotless appliances and bathroom fixtures, fresh paint on the walls. It looks brand new! I highly recommend renting here. We look forward to our year here!
The mirror was coming loose from the wall in the bathroom. Patrick came over the same day I put in the request, removed the mirror and reglued it. It was great!

The move in process was very easy. They clearly stated all their expectations before move in day and the check in before getting my keys took less than 30 minutes.
I had not issues while living in the community, it was very well kept and a nice facility. I rated my experience as a one due to the issues I experienced upon moving out. I gave ample notice of my situation and was assured that I would have no issues with moving out when my lease ended only to receive a bill for a full months rent after the fact. I was paying an increased rent amount as it was due to a short lease. The company has been non responsive to my dispute of these charges and instead just sent the balance to the credit bureau. I will not associate with this company again which is a shame because I had no issues while I was a resident.
Ive lived at this apartment complex for three years. When I was shopping for a new place and stumbled upon these I was hooked.I love the eat in kitchen with not one, but two pantries. Nothing worse for me about apartment living than trying to fit your dining table with your sofa and loveseat.The rent was a bit steep, but you cant expect all the space with a two car attached garage without paying for it.My only dislike was the exposed washer and dryer in the main bath. Im sure that guests didnt want to see my ratty old combo. Easy fix though.... bought new ones.So the pros are:Lots of space. Much more like a condo than an apartmentGarage. two car attached. enough said.Nicely kept grounds. Landscape throughout, not just upon entering the complex.As I said before, Ive lived here for three years, and up until recently my husband and I have been happy.Our rent has gone up every year since moving in. At our last lease renewal I asked the office staff, what they were doing to warrant this latest increase. I was told that it was to cover the grounds care. Okay, I can respect that, but what are you doing in my personal space to justify this increase? This is when I was told that they offer a free carpet cleaning upon lease renewal. Now keep in mind, Ive already been here two years at this point, and having my carpets cleaned professionally every three months. I did however take advantage of this free carpet cleaning. A cost of $63 to the complex. Thanks so much Redwood! Quite generous of you!The apartments are wall to wall flat paint. Theres no washing scuffs off of flat paint. No worries though. Theyll provide you with touch up paint. All you have to do is drop off a closed container for the paint. So a week ago, I asked for paint. This is when I found out that the color in my apartment is no longer being used. So now I cant touch up without painting my whole apartment myself. Oh, and the livingroom..... cathedral ceilings. Which are pretty great for my 9 Christmas tree. Not so much for painting.So, they tell me that they can have the painters come in with the new color and paint my apartment if I resign. Once again, Ive lived here three years. Why wasnt this offered at my last lease renewal?My rent continues to increase. At the start of moving in it was $1100. Im currently paying $1277. Over the course of three years my rent has increased $177 and not one thing has been done to my home by Redwood other than a $63 carpet cleaning. Once.I feel as though Redwood offers a great apartment home. Im giving them an ok rating because, my personal opinion is, they do little if anything at all to for long time residents.
The management in Johnstown is fineThe apts are okThe drive way or garage are not big enough for full size vehicles. You are either In the grass or gravel on the drivewayAnd a club cab ram truck will not fit in the garage and be able to shut your door.

Very nice places only problem I would say is I feel the rent was a bit on the high end.
Horrible. Rent goes up every year. Things dont get taken care of, as they should. So much to say, mostly negative

2022-06-01I couldn’t have had a better experience renting ANYWHERE!! The whole process at Redwood Johnstown was seamless from beginning to end, thanks to their leasing agent Beth! Got to meet their new maintenance manager Tony as well. Such a great crew! Immaculate property and I love how their focus is to keep their townhomes current with updated features. Thank you Beth and Tony for making me feel like I’m at home from when I first stepped in the door!

2022-02-02Refrigerator/freezer wasn’t fixed. Fridge be replaced.Painting was worse. Supposedly to be completed later.Can’t believe how long these requests are taking. I moved in in July and have been trying to get these completed with no luck. Beth and Patrick have been trying but this is rediculous.

2020-09-21Beth was absolutely terrific as the manager. She went out of her way to help us through the whole process, especially when we had problems with the computer sign up (our problem, not hers). We absolutely love it here. The apartment is terrific, just what we wanted and much more room than our last two bedroom apartment. Patrick, the maintenance man, is also great. We had a few minor things to fix, and it didnt take him very long to get them done and he came very fast after our request. Everyone is so friendly here. They keep you informed by email when there are special things happening.
