My company had two parties there. They have varieties to choose from. The food was good and drink was good also. We were on the patio for the last party I didnt like it because it was cold they did have heat out there but it wasnt enough other than that I like the restaurant
Tons of parking, and has an adorable back patio/bar that is all lit up when the weather is nice. The food is delicious, with daily specials and a short wait time. They have game nights and lots of drink selections as well. Its a restaurant thats accommodating to any and all, affordable, polite staff, and good hours. Try their filet mignon, its really great.
We have gone out of our way to eat at this restaurant several times and enjoy the patio. We did not appreciate the addition of peoples dogs this time. Not only were they obviously hot sitting in the sun but every time they moved puffs of dog hair was floating in the air!! Not appealing.
Average. Average service, average food. Nothing that warrants the high prices. Our food came out luke warm, and by time the waitress came back to the table, we had already eaten half the meal so it was too late to mention it. No one wants to sit and stare at their food hoping the waitress will notice no one is eating, so we just took most of it to go.I’ve never understood why waitresses choose not to be friendly; it makes no sense. It doesn’t take one second longer to add a smile. Plus, she kept walking away before everyone had even given their entire order. It happened when we ordered drinks, it happened when we ordered dinner, it happened when we ordered dessert and coffee. If I hear people say, “ were understaffed“ as their excuse for poor service, I’m going to scream. If you’re so understaffed that you can’t perform the task, then close your doors. But don’t expect your guests to pay your bills and overhead. Then keep your fare to a smaller menu in a scaled down area. This was our go-to hang out last summer. It’s time to find a new place.
The Waitress was polite and very good. I was there on a Friday for the all you can eat fish. This was laughable at best. Fried Haddok that comes 3 pieces at a time and each piece was roughly the size of a small to medium sized piece of shrimp. So Tay say the least it was very disappointing. 3 of the 4 at our table were getting the Fried Fish. I do not know if they cut these that tiny or if they are like little nuggets. Either way it was not what I had envisioned.
We booked a table for 20 on a busy Saturday and were so impressed with Jen, our waitress. Nothing was too much trouble for her and everything was done with a smile. Her 5 star service was a reflection of the can do attitude ofChris, the manager. It was a birthday celebration and we had asked if we could use some of the carpark for the 72-year-old to show his skills by challenging all comers to a game of his beloved pickleball before we sat down to eat. Chris listened to what we wanted and approved our somewhat unorthodox proposal without a fuss. We had the best time. Thanks so much to the team at the Red Hawk Grille. We will return to this super establishment
Stopped in yesterday for lunch and sat in the bar area. Service was pretty good but they had a group of close to 25 people come in so they were busy. We ordered drinks and an appetizer, Southwest Egg Rolls and while it lacked presentation they tasted really good. We both ordered a Western Burger and what a burger! It was cooked to a perfect medium, topped with BBQ sauce, onion straws, lettuce, and tomato along with a side of fries. The patty had to be close to a half pound of burger but it was juicy and charred perfectly. The atmosphere was great although there was a lot of noise coming from the kids. Wed like to go back in the spring to experience the outside dining. Good job RedHawk Grill!
Amazing!! Eating out on the patio is an absolute must!! Coolest patio ever- live plants everywhere, a small pond with fish, plenty of seating, two bars outside, a live band playing, and friendly service. The reason for the four star rating is my pierogies were barely warm. They tasted good but would have been better had they come to the table hot. Service was slightly slow. But overall, love this place!!!!
We sat for 15 minutes with noone coming to our table, didnt even have water and another couple that walked by us & sat immediately was served water & the waitress took their order!! We could have been sitting even longer. We even said something & they said theyd be there & noone came!
I commute to work on the East Side. Redhawk has been my home away from home for the last 21 years when I need to stay at work late. I can always count on an excellent meal and friendly staff serving it up. My favorite meals are their Bacon/Sage/Walnut Salmon, the Walnut and Bleu Steak Salad, and their Classic Burger on a GF bun. You need to stop by and give them a try the next time you are out at I90 and Rte 44.
We were here for the first time yesterday (Monday) and I have to say that it’s my new favorite spot! This place is not only an amazing spot to hangout and have a drink but also the food was outstanding! The jambalaya some of the best I’ve had and the portions are huge!! The bartender outside was friendly and quick to attend to everyone even though it was busy. She did an amazing job. The patio is beautiful! The water feature, fireplace and corn hole makes this the perfect hangout spot. If you’ve never been to Redhawks, you have to give it a try!
Absolutely fantastic!! This was our first experience here and we will absolutely be back. Kelsey was our server and she was exceptional at her job, extremely friendly and attentive. If she is working when we visit again we will for sure be requesting her as our server 😁
Only the second time weve gone here and dont know why we dont go more regularly. Good beer selection on tap and the food is excellent. Huge patio that is great(as long as you get a table away from the bees). Had great sandwiches this time, great salads last time. Looking forward to trying their steaks in the future.
First time here and my wife and I were very impressed. The food was very good. I got the Chipotle chicken sandwich and she got one of their salads. Food prices are pretty good too. The main dining area has a nice atmosphere and Ive heard they have a really nice patio which we will have to check out this summer. The staff are friendly and attentive. And as a small bonus, the urinal has a funny splash guard in it.
Ive been going to a lot of restaurants in this Ohio area and by far this is now my favorite one. Friendly staff, amazing food choices, food is properly cooked every time Ive gotten it and great environment,They have a bar and a restaurant. The bar is usually pretty busy with lots of fun things to do.
Excellent! All the way around! We just had a fantastic dinner at Redhawk Grille. Service was excellent, quick, and our food was delicious. I had the ribeye which was sensational. We also had the Chicago style eggrolls, and my ladies had the burgers which were all outstanding with mushroom and Swiss. This was our first time eating there. The menu looks incredible, and the vibe is very clean, spacious, and there plenty of seating options. Looking forward to returning soon to try out some more of their additions! Wonderful job, Redhawk!
There was a 20 minute wait. The drinks were great they were tasty and strong. The food was amazing but my glass was dirty. It wasnt the servers fault we still tipped her well. The server was really cool. She had great energy and was down to earth. I would definitely go back for another dinning experience.
My boyfriend and I came here for the first time a few weekends ago. I should’ve known from the beginning it was going to be a rough experience since the hostess who sat us said “I’m putting you as far away from that large party as possible since everyone has asked to move”. Our server did her best even though she was clearly overwhelmed but when it takes over an hour to get your order placed and she forgets your drink refill and the sides for your appetizer, it gets frustrating. After placing our order we waited another 30 min for our refills and decided that we would move to the bar where at least we could order more drinks. After waiting an additional 20 min for food that never showed up, we told the bartender we would like to pay for our drinks and appetizer and leave. Instead of being understanding, the bartender got snippy and proceeded to make excuses that they were light staffed and had a 100 person party in the back. And to top it all off she handed us the bill WITH our meals on it and told us they were packaging our meals to go. We were kind and understanding the whole night until this last stunt. Coming from management, the proper thing to do would have been to at the very least remove it from the bill. If we wanted to still eat it and pay for it we would’ve stayed. Very disappointing. Like I said- we were very kind and patient to our server and bartender until the end. Hoping if we ever decide to come back it’ll be a better experience.
One of my favorite places to dine. I haven’t had a meal that I haven’t liked yet. My favorite salad is the Jenny’s Chinese chicken salad. All of the appetizers are amazing the spinach dip and home made pita chips are delectable , the calamari is a favorite along with the pot stickers and the stuffed pretzels ! Great portions and chef specials . $5 long islands Friday’s and Saturdays and many other drink and food specials with a beautiful clean atmosphere. Fish fry Friday’s during lent are always super super busy ! They might need to expand soon because they are always very busy even during the pandemic but that’s a good thing because this is one of my favorite restaurants. The staff has also always been very cheery, attentive and pleasant. My husband and I love it here.
Chicken Quesadilla Excellent... full of flavor and meat.Half Slab of ribs and fries.... tender sauce is a little sweet but great!Jambalaya... great... spicy so beware...Pierogi stuffed with cheese... topped with cabbage and corned beef!!Wings... fried ok just a little bland.
My family and I took a day to visit Headlands Beach and drove down to Redhawk for lunch. I got a reuben which was probably the best reuben Ive had! It wasnt too greasy and the quality of the ingredients was clear. My brother got a burger which he really enjoyed. The fries and loaded potato appetizer we got were really crispy and delicious as well. My Mom got a grilled cheese sandwich with tomato bisque soup. While the soup was fantastic, it seemed that they used some kind of oil to toast the bread. While she was eating it, it had a smell of artificial chemicals which ruined the sandwich. That was the one thing that turned us off. Overall though, it was a very clean place and we liked the variety of places to sit. Service was good also. Prices seemed slightly high, but we would go back!
It was not very busy we stopped in for lunch as a family I expected we would be seated in the dining area but they sat us in the bar instead. I was impressed by the menu especially that they had a salad available as a side for the kids meals because my child actually likes vegetables. The food was tasty and service was good.
Went here on a Thursday night around 5 pm. Dinning room was not crowded. Stuffed pretzels are very good. I would recommend them. Wife got the fish and fries. Fish was a bit on the greasy side and the fries had way too much salt. I had their ribs and their menu is correct they are good and tender and fall off the bone. Service was bearable.
We went on a Thursday afternoon. We sat inside and there were only a few other patrons. Our server took our orders and we didnt see her again until it was time for our check. We waited quite a while for our food (not brought to us by our server) and it was ice cold. When we got our check our server said they were busy outside and she was helping out. That is simply not a good excuse for poor service and poor quality food. We were really looking forward to our visit as we had heard many great things. Not a very good first impression. I doubt we will return.
My last two experiences here were not the best. First off, the guy who works on the patio at the entrance is very rude. He was rude to our party both times. We got our appetizers and had no small plates, no napkins and no silverware. We waited 15 minutes for utensils and by the time they arrived out appetizers were cold. Our server never offered to warm them up or anything. I am also a server so I know when things arent going well. I wont go back to dine at this establishment. I would rather take my business somewhere that I am greeted in a friendly manner, and can have silverware and warm food. Its not that hard to be friendly to your guests.
Outside patio is nice, food is ok, I dont consider it excellent. Ive eaten there twice in the last month. The first time I had scallops and they were the first scallops I have ever eaten that tasted fishy, probably old. The second time I had egg plant parmesan, it was actually really good but I have had better. I had french onion soup the first time as well and it was pretty good but could have had richer broth. Wait staff outside was excellent. Wait staff inside didnt check on empty drinks.
Depends on the bartender, but its usually a great experience! Have also been charged for things that were already paid for... Keep an eye if you pay as you go or split tabs! Lenny and Courtney are phenomenal Suggest you go when they work! Otherwise its hard to find a bartender and they charge you for things that were already paid for!
Service was deplorable. No menus. Our table could not even get warm coffee. The server knew the coffee was cold, but yet she still served it. She went back to make a fresh pot... while half of the Texas Tech vs. Houston game played. We had to get our own silverware, stir sticks for the coffee, when it finally came, and we did not even get a second cup. You better believe the server had time to chit chat with her co- workers. A member of our group of 3 had to get a drink up at the bar. Guess what??? While he did, he overhears the waitress actually talking about a tip. Worse $3.22 cup of Joe in the woooooorrrrrrlllllddddd. Bar none. Nothing to give good remarks over the peppers or the chicken tenders. Nothing could be trusted at this point.
It was to be expected for lunch at a sit down grille on a Sunday. Slow if you just wanted to grab lunch while traveling, which was our goal, if you plan to stay to talk and visit its that pace. You could tell they must have a nice crowd on a Friday/Sat night as there was a pub feel and beer signs and a big patio that looks like it would be a nice time. Out waitress was not that attentive and my coffee was empty longer than I would hope. The one nice surprise was the appetizer...highly recommend the provolone cheese (think mozzarella sticks but round flat patties and sitting on a bed of sauce). But be sure to put in your order with the appetizer order because then she didnt come back for quite.some time to get.our order.
I cant say enough good things about Redhawk! The food is always wonderful, and the staff are amazing. The place is clean & well maintained. We had a party here that was catered- the food was delicious and well priced. It was very pleasant. If you can get patio seating you should take the opportunity- its well appointed & shaded.
Good and bad. Nice patio and food selections although food delivery is really slow. Worst negative is the bartenders. Last time I sat next to bar pickup a station for ten minutes with the bartender not ten feet from me the whole time. He could not even acknowledge presence. He was wearing blinders, did not want to be bothered . Previous time the lady bartender stuck a stinking ashtray in my face, full of butts, when I asked if they allowed smoking. I did not want to smoke.
Food was great but the customer service was HORRIBLE! Ran in for a quick bite to eat on our road trip. There was no wait when we arrived and asked for seating on the patio. We were taken all the way to the back and a waitress never came out. We sat and waited for 10 minutes, no one came to check on us. We decided to get up and done inside. We were finally seated but still felt like we weren’t a priority and there were hardly any patrons. Waitress was not very friendly, not personable, and serving us was in a rush. It seemed as if we were an inconvenience on the entire staff so we quickly ate our food and left. It was very unsettling to sit there and feel as if we weren’t welcomed.
This place never disappoints! Weve been visiting for years during our travels. Were typically stopping in during the summer, so we almost always have eaten outside. Lovely atmosphere! They add to the environment nearly every year. Gorgeous! Great service and very good food--nice variety! How could they be better? Move to my city!!
Grate place to relax after hard day at work. Extremely professional and well trained customer service employees. Food was great. My favorite was Monte Cristo sandwich. Hostess and bartenders are the best !! It’s a pleasure to have fun , eat and take a stressful day behind you . Thanks Redhawk Grille !
The veggie melt is yummy with 2 slices of fried eggplant, artichoke, and other veg on sour dough. It is the only vegetarian option, though, aside from a couple of salads. The inside is dark and cozy but that ac was on full blast freezing me and making our overhead light sway. The outside deck is a nice spot too but can get hot if youre not in the right couple tables. Friendly staff and attentive. Clean.
Had a surprise birthday party for my wife on Saturday night. 18 of us. The manager Cameron set everything up for me including pre ordered appetizers. Courtney was our server. She was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The food was very good and served in a timely fashion. I recommend this restaurant highly and without hesitation. Job well done, Redhawk.
Eh. Im not real sure what the hype is all about with this place. Weve been here 4 different occasions and each time Id say the food was mediocre at best. For the price, Id expect the quality of the food to be much better then it is. Waitresses/waiters inattentive, even during non busy times. Had trouble with keno machine, explained to bartender and was told manager would be coming to table after she looked at machine and she never did. We were charged $20 on our credit card but our ticket never came out of machine. Wont be patronizing this establishment again.
Very nice outdoor patio enviroment. 2 large bar area, large casual seating areas. 45 min wait for table and another 15 min for service after we were seated. I counted atleast 10 empty tables and 5 or 6 wait staff working the patio. Possible long wait due to staff shortage in kitchen. Server was friendly and very helpful with answering our questions.
Great outdoor bar and patio. Great service, very attentive and friendly. I enjoyed the diverse menu. Had the hog wings as an appetizer, they were great and unique. Ordered the Jambalaya as an entree and it was wonderful. Really good happy hour specials. Got to meet the owner Anthony who was a gentleman working the restaurant making sure everyones meal was good and their drinks were full. I highly recommend checking it, especially if you can sit on the outside patio before it gets too cold
The food and attention was above par! After having a terrible experience somewhere else the day before my hopes were limited. However, we had a great time, amazing service (the bartender ran his butt off!) and wow, really, really great food! We always have delicious food and very attentive service. I hope to spend many more evenings here!
We had a group of five and of course there was a wait. Everywhere is packed now. But they have the space on the side they utilized perfectly, had a cocktail, caught up with friends and eventually got seated and everyones food was amazing! It was perfect!!! Keep it up!👍
Extremely disappointing. Was promptly seated by the hostess, but then watched as 5 different workers walked past our table like we were invisible. This went on for approximately 10 minutes. Finally got up and left. Told the hostess as we left that we were never approached to which she replied, You werent? as she walked away. Didnt even attempt to get a manager or address the issue.
Right off of the highway, decent prices. The food took a while, but was SOOOO worth the wait. Highly recommend the hot corned beef sandwich. Its not a greasy mess like some of the bigger chain restaurants. The mac and cheese my daughter ordered was pretty bland, but the pepperoni pizzas that my other two kids ordered were perfect. And the fries? A-MA-ZING! Very friendly staff, clean facilities, and fun atmosphere. You guys easily deserve this 5 star review.
Service was very good despite being busy. Wide selection of different beers. The Hungarian hot pepper appetizer was delicious and hot. The $14 clam appetizer was good. Had the calamari pasta dinner with Italian sausage and pine nuts in oil and herb dressing was excellent and large enough for two.
Very, very nice restaurant. This was our second time visit, and we plan on many more. This establishment is excellent for all ages, and even parties. The outside seating is excellent 😊 weather permitting of course. The food, servers, and management all are excellent 😊! Very clean, well organized, people orientated place to come and dine.
We were having a nice dinner out with my Fiancee, her stepson (and his Fiancee). I had the Pot Stickers (very tasty and good portion size). For the main course, I had the New Orleans Jambalaya. It was very tasty, good heat, but not too spicy. I would highly recommend it! My Fiancee had the Filet with Langostino. Up until this point, everything was great...the service, the food... everything. However, I noticed that she was poking around with her Filet and wasnt eating a lot of it. She had ordered hers done medium. Most of it was solid GRAY and very tough. Our waitress came over and we let her know (showed her the meat), she apologized and asked if she would like to have another made for her and she would have the manager come over. She declined to have another made, but did ask to speak with the manager. This is where the real issue came about. A young man came over, introduced himself and when we pointed out that the Filet was well done (showed him the meat) and it was very tough etc. His response was We check the temperature of the meat before it leaves the kitchen. I can knock off a little of the price, but since she ate most of it (the filet is only a 7 oz cut and about 2/3rds of it was untouched)..I cant do more than a little. Then he left. All of us were taken aback. Not only did he NOT apologize for the overcooked filet, he basically came to our table with an attitude (not just my opinion, the other couple at the table thought that as well) and comped the bill $4. Our server was great, all of the other food was great...however, that manager that was on duty tonight 5/8/21 (around 8:30pm) was horrible. I left a small note on the receipt FYI, Mr. Manager, If your kitchen checks the temperature of the meat before it leaves the kitchen, why was most of the filet GRAY when she cut into it? Also, she did not eat most of the filet, she had 2/3rds of it left on her plate. We will not be coming here again for a good while. You need to work on your people skills. Please take this as a learning moment (in the spirit it is intended). We never wanted a free meal (nor suggested anything like that). What we wanted was for you to say Im sorry that the filet is overcooked. We are supposed to check the temperature before it leaves the kitchen, but obviously we missed this (since the meat is gray and obviously way over cooked) and I apologize. Is there anything else I can get for you or would you like another cooked? Instead we got an attitude, with excuses and ignoring the evidence that the steak was way over done. Outside of that one experience...I found the atmosphere charming, the service (and timing of the food coming out) excellent.
Joe the outside bartender is awesome!!! We cannot say enough about him. Redhawk is so lucky to have him. We go there just to visitAnd eat their fantastic food.Drinks are really good.Had the steak n blue salad. Very good. I am obsessed with it.My husband had the fish dinner and he liked it. Very filling.Patio is beautifulAnd they honor social distancing
Redhawks food is simply more expensive barfood, except for the jambalaya. If you eat here, you HAVE to try the jambalaya! Its truly a one-of-kind recipe. Everyone I know that has been to Redhawk loves it. They also have one of the better laid out restaurants I have seen, and BEAUTIFUL outdoor patio! The patio is huge, with a decent bar and a couple Bacchi courts! Definitely a place to go if you wanna hang out with a couple friends in a very laid-back atmosphere.
Ambiance is really nice on the outdoor patio, service and drink menu was fantastic!! Not much choice in terms of dietary variety though; Im primarily a vegetarian but cannot have dairy due to a high intolerance. I essentially had to piece together a meal of sides--salad with no cheese, fruit, sweet potato fries. It was yummy but it would have been nice to have some other options while the rest of the family enjoyed meals that wouldnt result in hunger within an hour. Maybe joining the impossible/beyond burger train would be helpful! Not all vegetarians want to pick at salads and fruit when going out to a restaurant (:
We made 8:15 reservations for 4 of us in the dining room for New Years Eve, after we had asked about the specials & Looking forward to a wonderful meal. We arrived a couple minutes after 8 & we were quickly seated. Then it took at least 25 minutes to get water & drinks & after 3 requests & 45 minutes before we received napkins & silverware. We ordered Lobster bisque from the specials sheet, & about 20 minutes later we were told they were out of it. We ordered dinner from the specials & two of us ordered the short ribs. Then again about another 20 minutes later, we were expecting our food, & we were told they were out of short ribs. Another delay in getting any dinner. It was almost 2 hours from the time we arrived before we received dinner. I understand it was New Years Eve, but an established restaurant should have better planning for better service & more staff & not to run out of food for their customers that have an 8:15 reservation. Overall extremely disappointing for a dinner we were so looking forward to enjoying.
The gentleman who seated us was rude. The tables were filthy they finally cleaned up by a wet towel? Wheres that been. I have compromised immune system felt uneasy the whole dinner. The server was the best , the food runner basically threw the baskets on the table. Wont return no social distancing at the bar customers no mask felt unsafe. I worked in health care would not recommend this establishment.
Great food. TERRIBLE SERVICE! Went for my anniversary, got our appitizers, delicious, our server didnt even bring our appitizers, didnt check on us for over 30 mins, continued to check and wait on the tables next to us multiple times. Needed refills on drinks and needed to place our order for dinner, waited and waited...nothing. STILL GOT FULLY CHARGED TOO. Worst dining experience Ive ever had anywhere!
We hosted our daughters wedding shower at Red Hawk and it was beautiful. The food was delicious and plentiful. The wait staff was efficient and very helpful. Mike worked with us to make it a memorable and affordable experience for our daughter. The flexibility in the menu was appreciated. Even a last minute vegetarian meal was prepared. I would highly recommend this venue.
Redhawk has been a staple in Lake County for a long time, for very good reason. Quality food from a kitchen that actually cooks and cares about the product they put out, attentive staff and accessible management. Redhawk has an eclectic menu and while you will be happy with any choice you make, you owe it to yourself to try the Jambalya....possibly the best North of the Mason-Dixon Line.
Fantastic food, great atmosphere. Was there for a shower and was very impressed with a catered food they provided. Im really picky about my wedding soup and prefer to make my own, following Grandmas recipe, but I have to say Red Hawk, you nailed it! Closest thing to my homemade soup Ive ever had! I would have given you five stars, but my mom is uses a walker or wheelchair and we had to use your bathrooms and I have to say, they are not handicap friendly. A few handrails would go a long way in there.
Red hawk grille has a great patio to sit and enjoy the weather. Food was great but when we sat down we could smell cigarette smoke. The reason four stars is do to the fact that anyone can smoke on the patio 20 ft from any door leading inside. Everything was good but that. Total deal breaker. Will not go back to the patio.
We typically have a very good experience and love this restaurant. But the service we had was horrible tonight. Our drinks were empty, my husband was never offered another drink from the bar, and my child had half her dinner finished before her milk came. Her dirty plates were never cleared. When I received my change from paying my bill, the waitress her giving me incorrect change and I was missing $20. I was able to flag her down and rectify the situation oh, but the excuse was there was no button for the amount I gave her, and she forgot about the extra 20 she owed me.
I placed a to go order at 6pm, I was told 25 minutes. When I showed up I was told they started a new menu today and they don’t have what I ordered anymore, I had to order something new. I was going to leave and not place an order just because I had two crying babies with me, but i was assured it would only take 10 minutes. So I ordered. It took another 25 minutes (I know that’s the normal time for pick up). I tried a to go order last month and it took 40 minutes then too. Because of COVID I wanted to give my business to a local restaurant. Food is always good though.
Well started out fine...but food was super late. Ordered the fish and chips. Fish was burnt so bad you couldnt eat it. Sent it back only to get what I believe was the same burnt fish. Our food was comped which it should have been. When leaving saw a gentleman that ordered the same thing. It was done to a light golden brown. Will not be back..major disappoinment for sure.
First timers but definitely not last. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. They even went above and beyond for a little tour to show off which was very nice. The food was outstanding. Price range to be expected for top notch service and excellent food. The grilled chicken on my salad was the best I’ve ever had. Me and hubby will definitely be new regulars.
It used to be a great place to come to wether its just for a quick drink or some actually pretty good food. But lately the servers and service there has been terrible. It had seemed compared from out first visit to our one lately service has gotten worse, slower, and completely unprofessional. The only thing that keeps me from giving this place 1 star now is the food. Because the food is the only thing that keeps it hanging, its simply just too good to not stop going. While I may be visiting less, Redhawk needs to get employees in shape before the food starts getting bad.
The rating is based on the attitude of the guy doing the seating My wife and I stopped in on Thursday evening. No one at the desk as we stood by the door. 3 employees at the end of the bar. We decided we would just sit in the bar area as it was more than 80% vacant. We took one of the small booths. Several minutes later a guy walks over with menus and asks if we need them. I responded Yes please. He lays them on the table and says we do our seating from the desk. I should have just walked out.Wife calmed me down.Carrie our waitress was great. When she came over I told her I was trying to decide if I should just leave.Chicken Alfredo and Mattloaf were both very good. French onion soup was one of the best Ive had.Probably wont bother to ever go back because of attitude.
The food always use to be good. Recently there has been an issue every time we order. Missing items, wrong meals, this time was jambalaya with under cooked rice. While they did refund me, it was still upsetting to watch the rest of my family eat while my meal was inedible. Not the greatest of birthdays.
Nothing special a little overpriced for the food. The patio looked nice but too cold to sit outside. Had the farmhouse salad was good with small sweet potatoes and not too many pumpkin seeds. I didnt get the feta on it so they could have given me a few more seeds. My father had the burger that was supposed to have a blend of different meats which he said was rather dry and he didnt notice the different meats. His french fries were cold and had that fake taste.
The service we received with Josh was spectacular. He was professional, fun, engaging but never overbearing. The eight of us agree best service ever. The artichoke dip wow amazing. Everything else was good. It was a very enjoyable dinner. Thank you Redhawk Grille and thank you Josh.
Perfect location, amazing food, awesome staff. I had my wedding reception here during Labor Day weekend with about 150 guests. The manager Chris was always available to talk or answer questions, and he did an amazing job accommodating all our requests and putting everything together. Red Hawk is the perfect place if you want an outdoor event but are worried about inclement weather. It was a less formal feel compared to your typical mundane reception hall, which was a huge plus. It was a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere that accommodated older guests, kids, and everyone in between. We had the entire patio as well as the inside of the restaurant in case of rain (no need though, the weather was great!) The staff handled all the set-up and provided the tables, chairs, linens, pretty much anything we needed. The patio looked beautiful at night with the lights strung across the dance floor area. I am still getting comments about how much our guests loved the atmosphere, food (buffet style with TONS of options- even had a wide vegetarian selection...YUM), and bar (open bar with just about everything). The staff was super friendly, and the servers were courteous and kept the night running along smoothly. I may be biased, but it was the best wedding reception Ive been to, and many of our guests agreed :)
Great place ruined by a single, miserable bartender.Reasonable drink prices, nice outdoor patio, and expensive but tasty food options. Tried to enjoy a recent Friday night here but running into the white haired, tall lanky bartender at the smaller end bar was an aggravating and disappointing experience.First he ignored me for 10minutes while I stood there, hand on the bar and making eye contact with him, until I moved to a different area and frantically waved him down. Then the interrogation began, he demanded 2 IDs for 2 younglings and rudely looked the IDs up and down for a good minute before finally blessing us with these domestics.Completely unreasonable person who would help contribute to the legacy of this place by promptly getting his old cranky arse out of here.
Im not from the Cleveland area, but stopped here on a recommendation from family that does live there on the way through for the holidays...Food portions are big, great craft beer selection, and reasonable prices all around. Again, not sure what the surrounding Cleveland suburbs offer as an alternative, but i feel this establishment is worth a visit if you are nearby, for sure!
Nice clean restaurant price is moderate and in line with the quality of the food. Plates cloth napkins and table cloth , several large screen TV’s . Food was good Beef tips and noodles were great, burgers were good and huge fries were great steak cooked just right. New Orleans Jambalaya seams a little bit hot just to be hot good jambalaya has nice heat but you can taste each individual ingredient, could use Okra and good peppers broth a little thicker. The children’s hot dogs and fries went over well with the kids. Seated right away but waited about twenty minutes before we had to get the staff ourself restaurant was not overly busy but the wait was out of ordinary
Its definitely what you could consider high-end for Concord. It is a little pricey for drinks and food. Totally worth it for the food though. I would go back more if they could find a way to make the drinks a little cheaper. Love the back patio area, perfect spot to hangout with friends for it is a pretty big area with bar and tables around.
Very nice outdoor patio but there were issues food and beverages. The first sodas we ordered came out watery, the waiter changed the syrup and brought us new ones that were much better. The saerkraut balls were good and we were looking forward to the signature hamburgers we ordered for lunch. Unfortunately they overcooked the burgers, we ordered medium rare and there wasnt any pink in the middle. A tight lunch schedule doesnt lend itself to returning food. The waiter asked about the burgers and we told him they were overdone.
Foods really good but the service is hit or miss and can either be great or absolutely terrible. Depends on who you get and how they are feeling that day. We watched 3 or 4 people walk out one time within a matter of 30 minutes of not being waited on. Not even their drink orders...
On a Saturday night the place was packed. A band named Rubix Cube played in the back patio and they were good. Very good! We were disappointed in our service, as we set reservations for 20 way in advance, but were shuttled elsewhere and split up because a party of 100 wanted the back room. We ended moving 4 times before we finally found tables in a side patio that comfortably accommodated us all. All of the help seemed frazzled and overwhelmed, even dropping a tray of dishes and food onto the floor. A chrome plated metal garden hose hanger was attached to the wall for hanging tray tables, but the hanger seemed to be randomly snagging waiters pockets and electronic devices. An ambulance arrived to assist a stricken customer, who was taken away on a gurney. All this let to an adventurous evening with our friends and guests from various cities. We wanted to make a good impression. Good thing the band was great.
Very nice restaurant and bar. Food is very good. People are really nice. If you go on Thurs. or Fri. at happy hour Joe the bar tender is the best. Try it out, its a great place to go and relax and be treated good. They have an outside patio which is great for summer. Enjoy!
Great little place with a great atmosphere. My girlfriend and I happened upon this place driving home from a trip to Chicago. A combination of horrible weather and empty bellies had us stopping here for a spell. The service was excellent and attentive, burgers were massive and delicious and even their Spinach and Artichoke dip served with Pita was well above expectations. I definitely want to visit this place again... oh heck its only a 3 hour drive.
Do NOT eat here. Had mussels with family everyone who are the mussels was vomiting. Called mgr. Cameron who told me they just got them in today and theres no recall yet so they are gonna keep serving them. And sorry I had a bad experience, and to have a great evening. Also he informed me that it takes 24 hours to get symptoms of food poisoning. He better look that up. It takes 2-12 hours to get symptoms. Just horrible none caring place for the patrons.
We went here for dinner and must say I am not impressed and won’t be back. First we waited forever to be seated because there was no hostess. It was after the dinner rush around 8:30 so not sure what was going on there since the dining area only had a few people. We were then greeted with a blank stare when he did arrive. No greeting, nothing. We were taken to our seats where we waited and waited. Again. Our server finally came over and we ordered our drinks and got them. Then waited more while she sat at a table texting on her phone. Since we only ordered water at that point, we should have left. We ordered and finally our food arrived. My crispy chipotle burger was inconsistent and mediocre. The only chipotle bites were in one side of the burger. The 15 french fries that graced my plate were good. My dinner mate’s macaroni and cheese was bland and was not finished. Lastly, more waiting for the check. Again. When I say waiting, I’m a patient person but this was ridiculous especially given the dining area was empty and staff was rolling silverware into napkins for the next day. In summary, poor service and mediocre food. Will not be back nor recommend.
This is our go-to place when we want to relax and enjoy the atmosphere, fine food and drinks whether its on the spacious outdoor bar/patio area or when the snow is flying and we dine inside. I usually like to try one of the daily specials that Chef Matt offers. The quality and portions of the offerings are right on point. If I cant decide on a special, I have a few standard selections such as the jambalaya, various salads, Chipotle Crunch burger and the wings are a usual add-on. The numerous craft and bottle beer selections are outstanding and if youre not into beer, the cocktails are expertly crafted by the friendly bartenders.
Love Redhawk! My lady and I were in Painesville for some work stuff, and we decided to stop for lunch and a beverage. We met Joe right away, behind the bar. Joe was super courteous and very up front with how busy he was. He must have had a 10 top and two 6 tops when we walked in. He did a great job of attending to everyone in a timely fashion, and helping as though we were welcomed, and not just an addition to his crazy afternoon. Joe also had knowledgeable opinions about the beers. Chris, the manager, was also very personable and helpful. We were quite comfortable and satisfied, and well be back for sure.
Just the fact that the general manager cares enough to go through these reviews and reply often is enough to bump the review up by a star, and definitely give redhawk another visit. The patio is a very nice area, and the food was good, but little attention was paid to how the food was presented. I could tell my pulled pork sandwich was made earlier than the rest of my tables food as the bottom bun was so soggy it was almost non-existent. However, it still tasted wonderful and I look forward to visiting redhawk again. Also, the fries are amazing.
My husband and I have tried the last several weeks to get into this place but parking lot was so jammed packed we went home. We decided to try it out tonight. We asked the waitress what was good (since it was our first time) and everything we said she didnt eat, or was allergic or didnt like. We ordered at 920 (scallops and chicken marsala). We got our food at 955 and it wasnt even hot !!! They were not even BUSY!!! Our waitress never even offered to get us refills on drinks, no seasoning on either the scallops or marsala and just very bland food for a not so reasonable price....we are very disappointed!!! We will not be back!!!
Redhawk never disappoints. We have stopped here many times on way to and from the Cleveland airport. The atmosphere is inviting, (bar is kinda dark but its a bar area) but the outside patio and regular seating is lighted good! The menu is large with so many different options. None of which will disappoint, I look forward to returning and trying something new!

2021-11-13Our first time here, we both got the meatloaf dinner. The meatloaf was very unique and flavorful both of us loved it, the onions are spicy and definitely add to the flavor, however, my mashed potatoes were cold, but his were just right. The server did bring me another side to replace them. The bartender makes a fabulous Milky way martini, the atmosphere is quaint and cute, we loved the music mix. They were very busy and packed and we will definitely be back.

2022-07-08The meat was cooked as ordered and sides good quality. They have a good selection of spirits. The service was good but not great. I can give a pass for the first visit as it seemed that our server was probably quite new.The price point is that of a medium to lower upscale establishment and the ambiance and experience matched for the most part.

2022-04-14Came for a drink and a meal and a five star experience for them. I knew it would be good because the parking lot was full on a Wednesday evening. The server was on point and super friendly, a shout out to the chef because the steak was prepared prefect to my liking at medium rare and the rest of the fixings were tantalizing to my taste buds. Whenever I come out this way Im a lifelong repeat customer!

2022-02-20Red Hawk Grille was a huge fail tonight!! So havent been to this place in awhile. Decided to go dinner. Menu gave us so much hope. I had chicken marsala and my husband had mac and cheese. Both dinners were served stone cold. I NEVER EVER send food back!!! EVER!!!! I had to tonight. Manager came over no real apology. Took our food and brought it back warm but not hot food. Never offered money off never offered desert. Nothing. Our server was terrible. Had to ask for water .. had to ask for more soda. Had to ask for bill. This place has gone down hill quickly. Sorry but when you mess up .. just make it right. Oh dont get Mac and cheese. Very bland!

2021-06-13We enjoyed our dinner. Wanted to sit outside because their patio had a relaxing vibe, however on a Saturday at 7pm the wait was over an hour. There was no wait at the bar side, which was fine with us. Im giving 4 stars in stead of five for these reasons: We waited over 10 minutes without anyone acknowledging us until I asked if we had a waitress, once someone came over, the service was great! And my second reason is that the air-conditioning was in so high that I had to go run to car for a sweatshirt, which is no biggie. But the problem was that when our food came the breeze blowing done on us made our dinners cold. We had beef tips and noodles and chicken Mac and cheese which were great initially, but less than10 minutes into our meal it was cold.

2022-06-04My wife and I were there for a birthday party and the back patio was awesome! The bar was incredible, the entire ambience outside was great, all the employees acted like they wanted to be there and work and made sure everything was running smoothly. Well be back for sure!Wish there are Cornhole boards set up in the back though

2022-03-06Recently had a celebration of life luncheon for my brother. I don’t live in the area, but Chris (the general manager) was wonderful! He helped me with the food choices, set up a buffet, set up our room, and even picked up a pastry tray from a local bakery. Our server (sorry, I don’t remember her name) was fantastic! And everyone loved the food. I’m sure many of the locals will return (and we will, too, when we are in town.) Thank you, Redhawk Grille!
