Red Roof Inn Toledo - Holland in Holland
Red Roof Inn Toledo - Holland in other cities:
My favorite benefits: 1.)Pet-Friendly without additional costs! 2.) Budget-Friendly with modern upgrades such as moderate sized flat screen TVs, granite counter tops, modern wash vessels and faucets. I planned to stay 1 day and extended my stay to 1-week. That says how much I liked it (for the low price). All personnel were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Hot, fresh coffee with flavored creamers are available 24/7 in the check-in area of the office. I rated this 4 instead of 5-stars for the following reasons: I had to change rooms twice within the week because: 1st room cold, 2nd room TV picture was all fuzzy after working fine for a few days. In both incidents the staff quickly changed my room, however, because of the hassle of having to physically move all of my items, I scored this Red Roof 4 out of 5 stars. I highly recommend this location as a lower cost alternative to higher priced hotels.
I wouldnt even give it one star. This is by far the worst motel I have ever stayed in. The room we got smelled of smoke, even though we had a non smoking room. Only one light worked & the bathroom light. So when I had to turn the lights off, I had to feel around in the dark to get back to bed. Seriously needs a paint job. The bathroom door had half of the paint ripped off. The room was beyond dusty. The bed spread had holes in it. And to top it off the house keeper didnt even leave any toothe brushes & no soap. I most definitely will NOT return to the rat hole! Could spend the same amount of money at a much better place.
I had stayed in a RRI in Detroit before, and I had a great experience for a very reasonable price, but this one in Toledo had ROACHES!!! I saw them before I unloaded my vehicle, so I did not take my clothes in the room, 234.At a glance the room appeared clean, but there were crumbs on one of the countertops and a pop bottle under one of the beds. I didnt look under the bed. I saw it while sitting on the other bed. The tub had smudges on the outside of it near the floor, and the ice bucket also had some debris in it.Id asked for a microwave in the room, but there was none there. I had upgraded my room (price) preference to make sure I had a way to heat food, yet I still had to beg to have one brought to the room.I paid for 2 nights, but due to dissatisfaction, I left after the first night, and I wont stay there again.
Ive stayed at several red roof inns and this was the worst. We stayed here about 8 years ago and were very pleased with it then, so I am not sure what happened since then. The place is a dump now. Overall, it needs a professional renovation on the inside and a good scrubbing in the outside. Avoid the rooms on the bottom floor (113). They were awful and probably should not be used at all. They are dingy and horribly outdated. I politely requested to be moved and they gave me a free upgrade to an executive room. Our next room was upstairs and updated somewhat, but still had a terrible paint job. In addition, the mattresses were sagging in the middle. It was tolerable for $42/night. But I would not recommend staying here if you have children or a family or any dignity.
Supposed to be a non smoking hotel.. as soon as you walk in the smell of cigarettes is overwhelming. The front desk had no real concern to send someone down or change our room. The building itself is old and in need of repair. The mattress is old and needs replaced.
Excellent place to stay over. Clean room, fresh clean sheets, quiet rooms. The front desk was super helpful to me. I got a great nights sleep. Woke up refreshed, got a nice hot shower, and ate at Waffle house down the street. Next Im stuck in Toledo, Im staying here.
*DO NOT STAY OR BOOK ROOMS HERE* After checking in at the hotel we dropped our luggage in the rooms and quickly left to visit family. When we returned to the room later that evening we were in for a huge surprise. Light fixtures and sockets didnt work, pizza crust and earrings under the bed, a bag of chips under the table stand, mold in the corner of the tub, the toilet ran loudly every 3-4 minutes, exposed wiring and holes in the wall, base board peeling off the wall, bathroom door didnt close and had black finger prints on it, painted chipped coming off the wall, beds not fixed, bedsheets with stains. Photos of all these issues are included in this review. The hotel refused to refund us our money. We went and stayed at another hotel in the area that evening. Not only did it cost us $140.00 to leave our bags in two of your rooms for a few hours, but we had to drive around the city for a few hours to find another hotel. Do not consider staying here, find yourself another hotel/motel and have a better experience.
Absolutely gross, only reason we stayed here was because it was late at night and we were tired. The first room we were given smelled like a chemical treatment plant so we requested another, which smelled like an ashtray, and ended up staying there because it was the only other option. The room was filthy, there was a dirty sock under the bed as well as random candies scattered about. I cringed everytime I touched the carpet without shoes on. The staff was fairly helpful but very slow. Would NOT recommend
Worst Red Roof I have ever stayed in!!! First thing we noticed were how dirty the windows were. Then we opened the door. My traveling companion squashed a bug with her foot. The floor was so filthy that my feet were black coming from the shower to the bed. The housekeeping staff ware no uniform and can be seen sitting on the stares smoking a cigarette and talking on the phone. When they do come to your room the change the towels, but thats it. They dont even empty the full garbage can. I took it out and there was garbage all around the garbage can, every day. They offer free coffee in the lobby, but it is always cold. The grass was 8 - 10 inches long so horrible to walk dogs. On the Saturday night we got no sleep because the fire alarm went off and the police had to come and break up a party in one of the rooms. There was also a van in the back and a mobile home in the front that hadnt moved in a very long time, covered in acorns and rust. All in all a very unpleasant stay that has put me off the Red Roof chain.
My husband and I got a room there since he waited until the last minute to book a room at a different hotel for New Years Eve. We get there the room was ice cold, I turned the heat on finally it began to warm up. After sitting on the bed for over a hour because I was cold I noticed something crawling. I told my husband to look I snapped pictures it was a bed bug. We called the front desk. By that time I was grabbing my bags I didnt want to stay. They wanted to offer us another room but I wasnt having it. I took my phone to the front desk and the clerk tried to say it look like a Stink Bug is said look closely!!!!!! I told him I knew something was wrong when they only had maybe 10 rooms rented. Its old and no updates!!!!! Im done period!!!!! I will never go back there. I couldnt wait to get home and soak in the bathtub!!!!!!!!
Hotel room was alright; not great. Staff was pleasant and room was clean, but even though it was reserved and marked as non-smoking, there was visible cigarette-burn damage to tables, counter, and sheets, as well as smoke discoloration around wall mounts near the ceiling and the lingering smell in the room. Our room was on the second (top) floor, and with the subpar insulation, the room was hot, humid, and uncomfortable, even with the AC blasting on high. One of the chairs was broken, so one if us had to eat dinner in bed, and the toilet screamed like a banshee every time you flushed. There was also no trash can in our room either; only ones we could find were outside on the balcony-hallways. Probably would not stay here again, and definitely would not suggest to others...
If you can avoid staying at this hotel PLEASE do. when we came to check in there was a man sitting behind the counter playing a game on his phone. he watched us come through the front door and stand in front of the front desk but decided he would wait until he was done with his game to come help us. when we get to the room it looks fine.. but we lifted up the blanket to look at the sheets only to find a huge stain on it.. after a few minutes of further inspection i realized that the stain was coming from under the sheet so i lifted the sheet up and on the mattress padding sheet was a BLOOD STAIN. i took the bloody sheets to the front desk and asked them if we could get clean sheets or to be moved to a new room. they were unapologetic but did give us a new room. when we got to the new room we realized that it didnβt have a microwave like our last room (not a big deal but still). we then checked the bedding in the new room only to find burn holes in the blankets, sheets and actual mattress. there was also tons of hair on the sheets as well as other stains. we found trash underneath the bed so obviously it hadnβt been thoroughly cleaned. by this time i was irritated and ready to go to bed after driving all day so we went to the closest walmart and spent $30 on a full bedding set and pillows so we didnβt have to sleep with their filthy bedding. the shower and toilet looked like it had black mold on it. we had no hot water. it was just a terrible experience and i would NOT recommend staying here. we took pictures of everything and will be speaking with someone to get our money back for that disgusting room. obviously the expectations werenβt that high for a $50 hotel room but seriously..... do better
Very upset with my stay. Booked a room in advanced, went to check in and was told there wasnt any hot water , but that there would be later that night and since the money already came out of my account i stayed anyway. The next morning comes around and theres still not any hot water. Management didnt care for my concerns. Overall cleanliness was poor as well.
Cannot say enough good things about Red Roof Inn Holland, Ohio. It began with the warm welcome I received at reception on check in. Housekeeping staff has been above and beyond. All in all the entire staff is exceptional, more than I had ever expected. Ive never experienced that at any hotel before. These people will bend over backwards to make you happy and to make your stay exceptional. all you have to do is ask. Very clean and modern too.
I always check the bed for bugs when staying in hotels. Guess what I found at first glancing- there was a full grown bedbug (aka its been there for awhile) and a smaller one. The mattress was also stained terribly and the sheets were dirty with holes in them. Too grossed out to take a picture..As I come out, I saw another guest going to the lobby, and they as well, seeking a refund for finding bugs, a used and wet shower as if someone had just showered, open soap, and a bed as if someone had sat on the bed.I was the last to get my refund, so I can say that neither of us got an apology. This was a terrible experience. I had just gotten off work as a nurse after a 16 hour day.
Terrible hotel and staff. The room was NASTY clearly not cleaned for ages, creepy holes in the walls, broken ac, very stinky. I had to wait for a long time to even complain and had to wait for the guest ahead of me complaining about the same thing. Didnt even sit down in this room, asked for a refund and went to a different hotel thats prepared to have humans... I wouldnt let my dog sleep at this hotel. Save your time and money, DONT GO HERE.
Where to start? We reserved a non smoking room for our trip. We would be staying on a Thursday night and on our way back on a Saturday night. We pulled in Thursday about 4:30 and my daughter using the card that my wife reserved the room with, signed us in and got the keys to room 105. We first could not get the keys to work. When I went back to the desk I was accused of placing the key near my phone, as that some how makes them not work? I am sure that the key was nowhere near a phone and as we just traveled several hours, just wanted to use the toilet and rest. After the second trip to the office, he came to the room with the tool to reset the card key, and failed for almost 10 minutes to get in. Finally the door lock opened. I asked him if he could fix the lock while we went to dinner. After dinner we had to get him to unlock the door again. The room smelled of stale smoke, it was out dated to the point they could not actually clean it properly. The beds were clean sheets but sagged. At 7:10, 8:10, 9:10, etc, the whole night the train would go through. I could not tell where the tracks were, but it was close enough for me to hear without my hearing aids.On our way back, my daughter went to sign in with the same card she used 2 nights before. She was denied the use of her mothers card, because it was not her name on the card. I went and said it is OK for her to sign for that card as she and I were both listed as signers on it. She would not even call visa to verify it. Luckily I had my card in case something happened. After she got the verification that the card paid, she handed me the room key to room 105. I said, did they get the door lock fixed? She had no idea. I informed her that I would need a different room if the door lock was not working. I was surprised to find it was working now, and she gave me attitude when I returned to tell her it was working. So again, we stayed in the smoke smell, and tried to sleep with the train blowing its whistle every hour. I slept with my hearing aids in without batteries. It made it so I could sleep. If this place could close down or at least remodel a few rooms at a time, I think it could be made in to a good place to stay. Other than the train, the location was easy to find from the highway and had many places near by for all your needs.
Should have read the reviews before even stopping!!! We never would have stayed if it wasnt 4am and only needing a few hours of sleep. And a few hours was all we were able to get... Bed was not comfortable and who has ever heard of only 3 small lumpy pillows for a king size bed??? The air conditioning never cooled the room down!! It was cooler outside. Go to check out and nobody at the front desk...door locked. I waited for 15 minutes and still nobody came. So I couldnt get a receipt nor talk to anyone. Place is falling apart and has no business doing business. Do yourself a favor...dont bother even attempting to stay here. Youll end up tired, hot and VERY unhappy!
The bath tub was clogged and the pipe to the face sink was broken and they only provided us one set of towel and wash cloth. I asked them for another set and the guy at the front desk said its going to take 30min. Never mind i have a funeral to go to.. thats the reason we were there to begin with. Its just despicable. They charged my card for 2 nights when i only stayed one. I DONT Recommend anyone stay ther. They are thiefs.
Dont let the sub 3-star rating deter you. The Red Roof Inn is a BUDGET Inn and I am immensely impressed. I have spent the past couple days in toledo staying in some questionable motels and not only were other motels more rundown and shady, but they were also more expensive! The only way I can imagine giving this budget Inn a low rating is if you were expecting an all inclusive getaway hotel experience. If you need a cheap weekend getaway this is as good as it gets. Not only is it a great bang for your buck but its cheaper than ANYWHERE else nearby!!
I stayed at this place over a year on an off n I know people coming in from outta town might have its complaints but I love this place... The manager n his wife are great people who when I had a baby actually had milk n baby items for me... On the fourth of July I wanted to do some fireworks but I thought thisManagement or other patrons would complain... But it was a lovely family feeling to see the owner n his daughter outside doing their own fireworks... It was quite festive n over early enough to not be a disturbance... Housekeepers are the sweetest people tooβ€β€β€β€
Disgusting!1st room reeked if smoke had ashes in the drawers, holes in the dresser, microwave door was broken and shower was dirty, complained...was willing to try another room. It looked better but when I turned down the cover the blanket was covered in hair, I almost puked. I got my things and just left.
There was someone elses hair in my shower and the non-smoking room smelled exactly the same as a smoking room. The hotel is close to the highway and the walls are extremely thin. Make sure you get a room that faces away from the highway. Not bad for the price. You get what you pay for.
Absolutely filthy! We got a King bedroom, the bed was made, but when we peeled back the blankets we could clearly recognize they were used previously.......Gross. There were various stains on the chair in the room, some resembling blood. The floor was so dirty, that my feet looked like they had been walking outside. There were multiple splash stains on the walls & doors. The window was covered with a dirt film inside & out. This room was also deemed a no smoking room.....obviously not the case based on the odor of cigarettes & marijuana.I only have this motel 1 star because I was forced to choose 1, otherwise this is a no star situation.
It was on the cheaper side but could use some updating. One of the two beds wasnt level and there was visible dirt in the bathroom where the walk meets the tub. AC unit buttons were worm off so there was some trial and error getting it turned on. Sheets were the more stiff and rough type.
I stayed 5 nights and the staff was very nice and cleaned my room daily. We had some issues with the electricity at first and they took care of it with in minutes. No sign of bugs but the beds are just not worth it. I was sick 3 of my 5 days there and I have arthritis! The bed made it so much more worse. I suggest cushion a bed liner with cusion or a comforter under to help with cusion for thoses people with bad bones or arthritis ( have pain pills, treatment or pain suppressant spray ready )! Other then that not to bad and the price will work!
Everything was great besides the shower squealing when trying to use hot water. I got home and looked at my account though they played me. They had us sign a paper for the room and never said anything about the safe in the room. I was charged an extra $1.60 per room I understand its not a lot but still. I feel I should have been informed about this. They said since I did not inform them of no usage I was charged. I was not asked how my stay was when checking out and I feel it was kind of rude. Over all it was a nice stay besides this $3.40 they will not return to me.-__-
Its a cheap place to sleep. Aside from that, its a dump. Found a candy bar wrapper behind the nightstand, hair in the sink, and evidence that food was wiped off the nightstand. Its just a nasty place. I sprayed everything with Lysol: light switches, toilet handle, the sink and shower knobs, and the bed and furniture. Ive stayed at RRIs before and was never told Id be charged for a late (12 oclock) check out. Here that courtesy is not extended. I was told there will be a charge. Start here if you must, just know that there are better places nearby.
I highly suggest you NOT to book a room from this Red Roof Inn!!!! The reasoning behind my suggestion is because the management (Especially the black woman) do not help or do anything for you if you have any issues with a room that they have booked for you for your time being. Ive constantly had problems with multiple rooms here after my stay of 2 months for work traveling. Problems such as air conditioners not working, WiFi is so poor (5 MBps), some rooms had a fridge/microwave and others had nothing. Also the most trouble I had was when our door had locked on its own and even my or the workers keys didnt work for the door. So then we were told its going to wait till tomorrow for maintenance to come in and get my door open. So I had to stay and suffer in another room till the next day without any of my stuff and was told that I couldnt get a refund for that night. I strongly uncourage you to book somewhere else! This place is a hell hole!
BOOKERS BEWARE. I would give this place no stars if possible. Booked a top of the line room and paid for it online. Arrived on a Friday, and it turns out that the owner had actually given our room to someone else. So we got stuck in a room that had a single queen bed and no amenities. It was a non-smoking room but smelled like a carton had been puffed in it. We asked to get a different room and he put us in a double full bed room. Turns out that you cant get what you pay for, and they dont really care which room you get, no matter how far ahead you reserve it, or how much you pay. I will never stay here again and will advise everyone else to stay elsewhere.
I wish i could give a negative star review. Booked on Priceline and decided as soon as we checked in that it wasnt worth the price of filth that we paid for. Cigarette ashes in the bathroom, damp sheets and every surface had a stickiness to it. Called to ask for our money back and the woman that came to check out the room said it wasnt dirty enough to warrant a refund..... Priceline said its fully up to the hotel, so we got screwed. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.
Oh my gosh!Words cannot describe the negative experience that we had! I realize im writing this review a little late, we stayed in this location a little over a year ago.First, we were placed in a smoking room.. We dont smoke! Period. It smelled so bad, everything was dirty. Everything was falling apart! We went to visit my fiancee little baby brother and needed a place for everyone to stay. They moved us to a non smoking room. Thank god!But it wasnt much better, it smelled .It was GROSS.There were people outside our doors at night, alarms going off at local bussiness all night, litteraly people trying to get into our rooms .Negative experience!!!Someone outside our door told us, he was going to KILL us ..which resulted in a fight.. We DONT fight... Long ways from home to a BEYOND weird experience .Security was an OLD man, couldnt and didnt help .I recommend no one stay here .We packed up our things anytime we went anywhere and brought it all with.It was ncie to get out of Illinois but we stayed in the wrong area of Ohio, thats for sure!
This hotel is excellent. I was a little nervous about some reviews I had read after booking. Iβm not sure what other guests were expecting, but this hotel was clean, updated, the room was very nice. I loved the big lighted bathroom mirror and modern glass shower with a rain shower head.
Very awful black mold in the place nasty dirty inside paint coming off walls very nasty front desk lady I asked for refund wasnt there two min and walk back and told her the place has black mold she tried telling me it wasnt mold I been in construction all my life u cant tell me that I cant recognizes mold always was refused extra blankets before getting the room. this to be a red roof inn costumer service stay away every one nasty place and was refused a refund of my money
Like the many other budget motels weve stayed in this motel is average. You get what you pay for. Bedding was clean. Room tidy. There was a large crowd of workers from what appeared as a property maintenance company staying there so a rather homogenous clientele type but they didnt bother us. Room wifi was weak and needed to go to lobby to get good wifi. Yes wed stay here again.
I would never stay at this place again even if i was payed to. There was mold in the frige the trash can and in the ac that didnt have a filter. There was a bunch of broken glass under the bed, that got stepped on when getting out of bed, with cigarette butts and sunflower seeds...when i picked up my cat to put her in her carrier i had to brush off glass from her fur and check to make sure she didnt have any cuts. Alot of the furniture was broken and the lock on the door was broken, it looked like it had got broken into....when taking all this to the manager she asked to see the room we gladly let her look and pointed everything out and all she was going to do is give us $15 back...said we brot the glass in...we r not like that we have stayed at plenty of other red roof inns and they have always been very clean and amazing rooms but this place is giving RRI a bad name and should be ashamed of themselves
PETS stay for FREE!!! I have 2 large dogs and I expected to pay some sort of pet fee, but NOPE. You can have a coffee pot in your room if youd like but bc of covid19 they dont keep them in the room. The beds were comfortable and after driving almost 4 hours doesnt sound like alot but IM old lol. Theres restaurants and stores nearby. Then theres LUNA PIER up 475 just over 10 minutes or so over the Michigan state line. If youve never heard of it...look into it. If you like to stay somewhere inexpensive 60.00 I think is what it cost for 1 bed..microwave, refrigerator a safe and personal amenities tv internet. Luna Pier Michigan is a small town the Lake Erie meets. So you go into Luna Pier and you can swim, boat, fish, take walks, ride your bikes. Family friendly no pets allowed on beach though. Red Roof Inn had alot of patrons that evening and it was a quiet sleep. Social distancing was expected.
Totally great for the price. Its bare bones, as expected. Everything seemed clean and was in working order, the place didnt smell even though they are pet friendly (I stayed with wife and cats) and the staff were helpful and polite. A few things in the room were looking broken or stained or really beat up, but nothing major or essential.
ALWAYS CALL AND ASK FOR ROOM PRICING FIRST BEFORE AND AFTER TAX. My boyfriend and I just drove up there to check in, guy at front desk tells us itβs $78 for a STANDARD but then says thatβs the price for a βsuperiorβ which the only difference of the two is a microwave... anyway he then says the standard is $70... We come every Friday and have NEVER paid that much. Feeling skeptical we left and I decided to cleverly call in and ask how much it costed once more for a standard , the price magically dropped to $54.99 before tax and after was $60 !!! This is seriously pathetic and I wouldnβt recommend this place to a single soul. Last time I was here there were ants in my room and I tried to write a review but itβs been taken down from here! Very funny that he thought he was slick
This place is disgusting!!! Youve got to either be desperate or just plain nasty to stay here. Given the circumstances, I was desperate for the time being. The pics you see are of two different rooms. The desk clerk claims he knows nothing of the May special they are running. He is idiotic in nature or just hates his job. Either way it shows in his presentation. This is the only time Ive been to RRI and experienced anything like tis. This location NEVER has to worry about me visiting it ever again!!!
Absolute trash. Old food from someone elses stay was rotting in the microwave, bugs were everywhere, and there was even blood on the sheets when you peeled back the covers...they need to be shut down and immediately. The front desk did NOTHING to even compensate us for all of these issues. They didnt even seem like they cared. Please shut them down. They dont even deserve to be ranked amongst the one stars...
This place does not deserve 1 star but I had to so as to comment, dont go there! I was horrified! The grounds were nasty, cigarette butts everywhere, my room, horror, while doing my routine check for bed bugs, I found a syringe between the mattress indicating the bed had never been changed, the room stunk of cigarette, and simply was filthy, I returned to the front desk to get a refund, I was offered an upgrade, I tried it, it smelled better at first, but after being in there for 15 min or so it was the same as the first room disgusting! The clientele looked to be prostitutes and Johns, thugs hanging around too! I asked for the manager in the morning and was refused, the clerk offered me half off the room, said that is all he was authorized to do. I called the main number for Redroof to complain, after 3 days I received an apology and a confirmation that I already received half off. I will be taking the next step. This place was truly the worst ever!
Me and my girlfriend my 2 dogs are staying here right now and we left at 11am and come back at 7:30 and our key card does not work for our room and nobody is in office and my girlfriend and 2-3 other people waiting on someone to assist them not to mention the drain for the tub was hanging halfway out and when i went to touch the handle for the toilet the handle came off. But apparently dome other people are having the same key car problem
This is the first and last time ever using Red Roof Inn. My wife and I travel quite a bit on Church business and have stayed at many hotels, this ranks as the worst. If I had saw the room first I would not have checked in. After check in when we entered our room we were hit with a foul smell of cigarette smoke, mind you, the room was supposed to be smoke free. We had to go to the local walmart to buy glade plug ins to get rid of the smell. On the window sil were two dead bees and a dead fly. In the room were many nats and small flies as well as small spiders ! The room was so outdated, there were no amenities and even the channels on some of TV stations were fuzzy! I could say soooo much more but I will end how I started , this is my first and last time ever using Red Roof Inn.
I wanted to make a reservation so they would not be sold out before I got there. I was told the only way to do that was with a card which would not be charged until I got there, so I gave my card info to hold the room. I ended up staying at a different location. My card was still charged the full amount for that night, even though I never stayed there. I called to get it refunded, they refused to do so.
Dirty, tv had no signal, romote didnt work. room looked nothing like sample pics. Toilet screams after each flash and lasted for about 10 mins. Dead bolt latched itself. So I had to get them to let me in every time I left room. And ladies at the counter werent very knowledgeable when trying to connect to the Wi-Fi. I had to find the number to their provider. The a.c. had issues. I have stayed at red roofs all over. And none of them have had any of these problems. I will not return to this location. I didnt want to leave 1 star. But you have to leave something.
Roaches! And the manager refused to do anything about it. No refund, no new room, and all the manager had to say was βyou shouldβve came down and requested a new roomβ what was the point of me coming in to show you pictures then? For my own purpose?? We are out money for a room we didnβt even stay in.
We had 2 rooms here for about a week and a half..during a moving process... We had no issues staying here. Everyone was friendly and the rooms are remodled. They are beautiful and cosy. Would not have had a better stay at another red roof inn. Thank you for a good experience!!
Had to move twice n the pouring down rain and still didnt get a fridge or microwave. The clerk at the front desk didnt want to give us a refund for the fridge and stove and didnt give us a discount for unconvincing us. I woke up with bites on my ankles that im sure i didnt have before i got there. Horrible horrible horrible
Absolutely disgusting. First room we checked into had blood stained and torn sheets. The front lobby was able to relocate us after demanding proof (see picture below) and we were moved to a room that was falling apart. Appliences hanging by their wires off the wall, missing remote control for the TV, and busted counters. BOTH rooms smelled HEAVILY of cigarette smoke to the point where it made me and my partner nauseous. Plenty of drug use out in the open with loads of homeless people roaming the complex after midnight so lock cars. If youre in a pinch just sleep in your car. Genuinely surprised this place operates as a hotel which leads me to believe its functioning more as defacto low income apartments. Nothing wrong with that, just dont expect anything close to hotel quality.
Laying here in bed at the hotel now. Cant stop itching. We found two bugs in our beds, multiple gross looking stains in the sheets, air doesnt work, shower head makes a screaming noise loud enough to hear from outside the room and mostly, CANT STOP ITCHING.There are lots of cheap places like this but still clean, dont stay here, just find another place. Id almost rather be sleeping in the car if we didnt have such a big load with us.
1st off CHARLENE, went above and beyond to make sure my family was as comfortable as possible!!! IDC about ANY review/opinion- the time between moving out of our old house and into our new house was made convenient and as comfortable as it could be. I had no issues getting toiletries, linens, nor did I see any bugs, but Charlene knew our situation and we did have an internet issue DUE TO OUR SYSTEM, NOT THEIR INTERNET (as a matter of fact we literally had full bars on all iPads, and our laptop but our Xbox has a set up where it checks the internet itself meaning you usually have to be the person in charge of the modem/ router- JUST BE ABLE TO GET INFO OFF THE MODEM AND SUCH) so I called up front and within 10 minutes Charlene got us in contact with their internet support who in turn got my cabin fever kids back on the game they hadnβt been playing b/c I knew I may have needed more info then they may want to give out, but she found a way around it. Charlene is an asset I hope Red Roof Inn knows the gem theyβve got! I also had great experiences with the rest of the staff and was there a few weeks! Thanks RRI Holland Ohio!! And Charlene my kids love ya!
While checking in the guy working at the counter ask me 5 + times if he could come to my room to give me a massage reassuring me each time that he was serious upon entering the room it was quite dirty spots that look like blood on the heating apparatus on the ceiling and a drawer full of ashes a blunt Roach plastic in a starburst

2021-03-23Got in, was okay. Room smelt of weed and cigarettes.. okay.. sinks faucet practically being held on by a thread, sinks also clogged badly, poop on the bathroom walls... thought it wasnβt too bad. Manageable for two weeks. 1 night in... discovered bed bugs.. great... desk wasnβt too helpful either. Just offered us a new room down the hall. Denied as it seems from the reviews.. 90% of this place is infested so pointless to move a bunch of stuff to a new room just to be welcomed by bed bugs. Would rate 0/5 if I could.

2020-04-30Solid 5 Stars and a top-notch hotel !Very helpful and efficient front desk staff who would greet us every time we passed by the lobby. The room was huge, the bathroom shower pressure was great and the hotel was quiet as well (especially at night). The beds were very comfortable. We checked out and they kept our luggage until we left the town later in the evening. Surprisingly, while retrieving the luggage, not only did the employee have gloves on, but he himself placed the luggage in our car for us and offered a sanitizer as well. Social distancing at its best ! My stay seemed quite like an upgrade compared to my typical experiences in higher brand flags. I will definitely be staying here every time I am back in this area.

2020-11-23This was a typical Red Roof Inn, small but well-stocked room, small TV and spongy bed but good WIFI.Why the one star? This is an Indian-owned property and eventually that fact would reflect in the quality of my stay. Speaking in nearly unintelligible Hindi accent, the desk clerk explained that they had no laundry facilities that, at this point in my journey, I desperately needed. The next day I had to schlep back and forth between the motel and the nearest laundromat two miles away. With that I was running out of time to get an also-desperately-needed shower. So, could I stay past the 11 a.m. checkout time? Blah, blah, blah, something unintelligible about the weather and the housekeeping staff needed to get started. Looking around, the entire property had not one visible housekeeping cart visible. For some unjustifiable reason, the guy was clearly lying through his teeth -- and I told him so -- whereupon he laughed at me when I told him Id get my revenge on Google. Looking at the other reviews of this property, you can see why he didnt care.Stay here, and youll pay to be a guest -- but you sure wont be treated like one.

2021-04-04We usually stay here 1-2 times per year. This year it seems to have gone down hill. Our door locks were broken, room was dusty, bedding stained. Some shady dealings going on in the parking lot. Staff and free coffee still good.

2021-03-24TV didnt work in the first room. Thankfully he moved us to a room that everything worked.but there was a parking lot party with loud music, yelling, fighting and garbage everywhere. Someone kept banging on my door at 3 am. Not a place to stay if u need sleep or want to feel safe.

2020-10-02We reserved a non refundable 2 bed room for 4 nights online. My wife is wheelchair dependant and when we got there, there was not a double bed room on ground level, and there was not an elevator to get her upstairs. When i said id cary her up, i was told it was illegal to have her upstairs without access to get down in case of fire. I could not be refunded the money and we were forced to stick it out in a single bed handicap room for 4 nights with 2 kids. I didnt get much sleep those nights to say the least. Issues with ppl smoking in there rooms had the fire alarm going off multiple times as well. We were never offered new towels or anything for that matter. There was not even a microwave, or coffee pot in the room. Then when it was time to leave my wife took a little more time than expected and asked for a small extension to checkout time. I cleaned the room thoroughly, and when finished i call the office to let them know and was scorned by the owner for it taking so long, it was 12:30.

2018-08-09Nice hotel, job paid for the expenses so pricing is iffy. The room was clean, modern looking. Air conditioner unit was a bit older of a model and the lighting could use an upgrade. Still the feel of an old school Motel with a new look. King sized bed was firm but comfortable. Nothing too fancy or overdone.

2018-11-05This location is fine for a night maybe two but thats where Id find another place to stay. The first impression was the counter guy didnt give me the best rate and possibly pocketed some of my cash I paid for the room. Upon entering the room I noticed that the no smoking sign was ripped from the door and there was a very strong marijuana smell inside. Like it had just happened. Im not against that but some people are. The parking lot was a bit noisy most of the night and I was put on the side facing the highway. No where near enough insulation. The room was clean for the most part. It seems the last person in there may have had a kid trailing them because there was a candy green colored stain around the room and on the sheets.

2020-04-13Iβve stayed in most countries and at all pricing levels. Iβm easy to please. By far, without a doubt in my mind, this was the worst hotel Iβve ever stayed in. Bugs. Filthy floor. Heating system just plain awful, shower handle fell off, shower was either full cold or full hot; no mixing of the two, and the room stunk like old shoes. Not kidding. Terrible.
