Positive: To start off my experience was great the staff was wonderful to end the first ended my reservation, next as I was attempting to pack up and leave the police were called. The front desk attendants were pleasant and easy to talk to. House keeping completely skipped my room on my last day there. It would have been a decent place except, bed bugs. I requested a different room or a refund they gave me a different room and said they would refund one of my nights and then charged me full price. As well guests were partying and ultimately fighting on the balcony right outside my door at three in the morning. I absolutely will not stay here again
Disgusting. There was literally a half smoked cigarette left on the bedside table right by my head. There was a strange brown liquid in one of the drawers when I opened it as well. Random hairs in the bed. Dirty toilet. Door wouldn’t open after many attempts at it. The “owner” may reply to me like the others but I know nothing will happen to change it. Definitely would not recommend.
Our door was hard to open every time we went out it would take 5 minutes to get back in. We couldnt park in front of the room we were staying in because there was broken glass on the ground. The heat turns off by itself and you have to keep trying to figure out if you are turning on the heat or air because the the buttons are popped off. We will never stay there again.
We needed someplace to sleep splitting our 10 hour journey for the night that was safe and simple. This hotel had good reviews and wasPet friendly. It would’ve been fine considering it was 1 am when we arrived but honestly, the cleaning wasn’t as expected with all the good reviews. Mainly The bathroom floor was gross, no mopping when mopping necessary. Bad job Dom, our cleaner who left a tip envelope. Also there were some ransoms walking around parking lot around 1 am too which is a little nerve racking, but nothing bad happened from that and our bed was very comfy!
This is usually a nice visit not this time the cleanliness of the room was substandard we were not able to enjoy the tv missed all of the NFL games because the cable service here is awful. This will be our last visit here. The young lady at the front desk however was very nice and helpful. The person assigned to the cleaning of this room may need some additional training, there were items left under the bed.
Room is nice and clean. Front desk staff very helpful. For example our previous room had a toilet issue. Instead of being nonchalant about it, they simply moved us to another room - free of charge and complication. IDK if they serve breakfast in the morning, but they provide coffee and bottled water. A good place for those on a budget. And the location is in the middle of a multiple shopping plazas which r in walking distance. I would stay at this hotel again!
No pool, no breakfast and a dog next to us none stop barking all day and night. I Called the front desk but no one came and did anything about dog. I found alcohol caps under bed and it looked like no one cleaned under them for years plus our top sheet had urine stains on them.
We checked in the room was very clean. However when I tried to leave the room the door handle fell off major fire hazard. They switched to another room which was two double beds I was originally in a king unacceptable but that’s all they supposedly had available. On top of that one of the front desk ladies smelled like alcohol.
My stay was wonderful! My room was spotless! The room was quiet and extremely comfortable! There were plenty of restraunts and shopping nearby!The front desk staff was absolutely amazing! I had a situation (to long to explain) that I needed the front desk staff to help with! There was 1 woman in particular that I want to acknowledge!! I for the life of me dont remember her name!! You know who you are!! She was there late on 11/28!! Thank you so much!
This hotel is more like a motel. Rented the Superior King room which is suppose to be the nicest one it was not. Wasn’t very clean. WiFi didn’t work well the parking is awful and the noise from other tenants was awful throughout the night. Families actually live there with their family and at the end of our stay they overcharged our card by two nights. The staff Jody was rude and very unprofessional. Would not recommend for anyone. Poor business. Lesson learned
Everything about my stay was great. The best part was that my dog could stay for no extra fee. The staff was pleasant and the coffee was good. There is no room service but theres always pizza delivery and they are located very close to lots of food places. Clean rooms.
Too noisy. Towels are rock hard. Very clean and pet friendly. If you have any trouble sleeping with noise pick another place. Bed is firm but comfortable. Lights are wired crazy. If you want to save money its okay. My house had to work out of town and I went to visit.. it was not comfortable for me other than being there with him.
Woke up to Bed bugs right as I tried to fall asleep and had to stay up all night standing as I could not sit anywhere the infestation was. Unbelievably disgusting! Red roof has NOT compensated me. The staff will not refund me when I brought this to their attention. At the very least I expect a curtesy refund. Ive lost a nights sleep and now have to replace my belongings and luggage. A total nightmare.
Awesome staff, location, and rooms. I cant say one bad thing about this hotel. I was a homeless family of six with a 75lbs dog and was there for almost four months, my whole family including my dog was greeted with a smile every single day. The rooms were clean. And everyone was so polite and hospitable, they never judged me once. Thank you red roof inn for the laughs and encouragement. You are all awesome. If Im ever in any kind of situation like that again, we will sure enough be coming to you.
Today I experienced a first. I expect hotels to have bugs, smell funky and look distasteful--especially when youre not staying in a Hampton or luxury hotel. However, tonight I had the pleasure of discovering my mattress was soaked with CAT PISS. When I arrived at check-in I lit a candle to try and rid of the cigarette stench and even asked the hotel cleaning lady to spray some odor rid in my room. I work in sales so the only reason I need a hotel room is to sleep and shower. I was gone all day and just finished meeting when I climbed under the blankets and the smell became overwhelming! I smelled the blankets, the sheets and the mattress cover but that isnt where the stink was originating from. I decided to check the mattress. It didnt take long to determine that was the source! The yellow stain and strong odor proved that right away! I decided, at 1am, that I refuse to stay in the room any longer and requested a new room at the front desk. Ive been moved but offered nothing for my troubles. If you ask me, this week needs to be free of charge!! How could your housekeepers not notice that smell!? Gross!!!!!! Lodgers beware!
The Red Roof was very clean. The bed was comfortable. It was reasonably priced with no pet fees. Also they have cable, so I was able to watch old horror movies all night! Perfect for the night after the Halloween show up in Cleveland. The location is good, too. Being an hour out of the city means no morning traffic.
5 stars. 1 reason. The nice lady this morning who checked me out was so absolutely NICE and kind I couldnt believe it. She helped some issues I had. I so wish every place had a nice lady like her working at their place. I hope she stays and gets a raise and managnent reads this. Thank you so much again. 7 - 29 -30
I’m so upset. We booked a room here from Friday to Sunday, visiting from Wisconsin and our puppers went under the bed and came back covered in bed bugs. We spent the first hour here squishing all the bugs on her to kill them. We didn’t even bother staying, talked to the front desk lady and now have to wait for the manager to come in at 3pm to get a full refund. The beds looked fine but underneath was a whole different story.
Very nice Red Roof, good value for the price. You cant beat the location—close to every shopping and dining venue you can imagine. The room was very clean and well-maintained. The shower head needed some attention, but the bed was comfortable, the sheets were soft and very nice. Would definitely come back!
Noisy. Evertime before the heat came on it sounded like somebody knocking on your door with a single finger. Took a while to figure that one out. Weather in the 20s so had to use the heat. Prefer carpet over wood tiles they have. Only 15 working channels, no national channels, weather or news. Nothing worth watching. Overpriced!
Solid for the price. Staff is very nice. I stay here 2 or 3 nights a week for work and its perfect for my needs but Im not picky. Some rooms have their issues but arent anything serious. It has a good location for visiting, tons of restaurants and stores. Just keep in mind that the standard rooms DO NOT have microwaves or refrigerators. Overall its nice for the price but dont expect an absolutely incredible experience
I stayed 5 days heater didn’t work I asked the front desk for a different room. Couldn’t get a different room so I just put extra blankets I asked for the refund for 2nd night in I was staying they said no so I had no other choice but to stay. I’m currently homeless trying to stay out of the cold they told me they can refund me for only night. When I spent $300 to stayed in a cold room. King size was nice was nice but had to pay for that so. Will never stay in this location again. God bless merry Christmas
We always love staying at the Red Roof Inn but this was horrible. If we were not exhausted from a 12hr drive we would have went elsewhere. There was dirty washcloths hanging on shower rod, bloody tissues on steps the deadbolt didnt work (room 250) and the toilet didnt flush, wifi was slow and even the cable was poor.l, the parking lot was dirty. Felt like I was staying at a cheap motel.
I liked how clean the superior king room was, and the price per night was good as well. We were checked in quickly, without delay. We stayed two nights here in North Canton and both nights were quiet and comfortable. I took a nice hot bath the next evening, in the very clean bathtub. I have a thing about bathtubs...it has to be nearly spotless before I sit in it for a bath. I did not have to worry because this one was clean as a whistle. I could have wiped it with a white glove and not seen anything on it. The TV had a good selection of channels including HBO. What did I not like as much? Maybe there couldve been a microwave or a little fridge. We found out there was a microwave but unfortunately the staff did not leave one of them with a key for the lobby where the microwave was located so we had to go across the street to the gas station to use their microwave. It was a small inconvenience but we did still enjoy our stay at the Red Roof Inn at North Canton off Everhard Rd. I also loved the location. There were many stores right there in that area, in every direction, and Black Friday deals shopping was convenient, many within walking distance, and absolutely did not have to drive far at all. Lots of restaurant choices too. We hope to stay here again.
Horrible rooms. Full of trash on the outside back building. States smoke free but all guests were standing outside smoking. We went to get a refund and complain to the desk clerk and she was also outside smoking right at the entrance door. Office smelled like cig smoke. Yucky. Will never stay here again
We really did not like the room at all. We stayed for a night for our wedding the next day. The towels we old and ratty the bed sheets had stains on them along with dead bugs on our bed sheets. We took off the mattress topper it was stained with blood on mattress. We were so uncomfortable that we slept on top of blankets. There was dirt in corners of rooms It felt more like a cheap motel than a hotel for the price we paid. When we got there the lady at desk had blue hair dirty finger nails and people were standing outside of their rooms talking, smoking and drinking and I felt like I joined a frat party. Nothing like their picture. My husband had to move his car from one side of building to other side of the lot because he looked as if something was hanging from the roof area. The paint job is horrible in the room . Plus people partying outside at 2am in the morning screaming and yelling. Hot up left room in the morning to the balcony railing with lined up alcohol bottles. Only plus side is its close to shopping and resturant I do not recommend. This place needs remodeled bad,!!
Taking into account that our pet friendly, 2 double bed room only cost $65 for 1 evening, the a/c doesnt work, the shower doesnt drain, the outletss spark when you plug things in, and the lock sticks on the door and you have to struggle to enter or leave the room... This place is the pits
Very clean room, the customer service at check in was great. Engaged in friendly conversation and laughed with us about a shirt. The location is very close to my point of interest. Easy to get to this location off the highway and very easy to find once we were off the highway
Got the King Supreme like I always do. Wasnt a super fan of the hardwood floors but the bed was really comfortable and the sheets were great. The battery cover on the TV remote was falling off and you had to hold the lever to flush the toilet. Went to the front desk and they quickly exchanged the remote and while I was at work the toilet got fixed. Ill be back when I have to work in the area again.
They wont come in and clean when gone. You have to go to the front desk for towels they was rude to my grandma dont have any food or fridge or microwave for you when you stay I had to put a one star it doesnt even deserve a one star they deserve no stars . DO NOT RECOMMEND get a different hotel if possible
Told them I wanted to use my free night. The girl says couldnt add it til checkout time but would reserve our room for us. Next morning manager tells us sold out for the night and cant use it. However when I was leaving the office she told someone on phone she had 2 rooms available for that night.
I do not recommend staying at this red roof inn at least until the construction is done. Its 9 am and right outside our room is a ladder and a tarp. The noise is ridiculous. We got an unwanted wake up call to move our vehicle right before the construction began. Other than the noise the rooms are nice and fairly clean.
I went to sleep thinking I would be fine till I wake up to bites on my face and go and see this on my pillow ! Bummer Bedbugs usually they are good and this was my first big problem but it took a heavy weight on the review because no one should get a hotel and have to worry about bed bugs !
Stayed here in Either end of Feb or Beginning of March. I gotta say when I booked I was a little skeptical and unsure of what to expect. But when I opened the door I was pleasantly surprised. The room was newly renovated wood laminate floors granite or travertine counter tops the room was very clean. I was happy to stay here.
Room smelled like chlorine and it never went away, I fear the smell has stained me and Ill forever smell like a pool boy. Walls so thin I was awaken by a guy eating chips (dead serious), and can hear every word theyre saying. Sheets were questionably clean. Best part of the place was the cheap price but Im going to spend way more money tonight on a nice hotel to even out the pain.
This place was pretty decent. Not one of my faves Mai lying because there was no breakfast but the price was a bit higher than I expected. I loved the fact that they allow pets which was the main reason I went there cuz theres actually not a Lotta hotels that do that. Staff was great, very helpful and sweet to me my whole stay
You do not have to have reservations it was very reasonable priced for one night we paid 59.99 plus tax which came to about $70. Very quiet and in a great area. Plenty of shopping areas and restaurants nearby. There is a shopping plaza in walking distance and the Belden Village Mall is right across the street. Also room has two full size beds, bathroom with shower and toilet, a TV, a little desk area with computer chair, a microwave and a mini fridge and also has a nice air conditioning unit and a heater unit. Does not offer breakfast but does have a coffee bar. If you get the superior king bedroom you get more amenities such as coffee in your room, a larger flat screen TV, larger working desk area. Checkout is at 11 a.m.
This is the 5th and by far the nicest red roof inn that Ive stayed at. I travel extensively for work and was pleased by the hospitality and accommodating nature of the staff. The only criticism I have is the mattress could have been a little more comfortable, but I still got a good nights rest.
I was first given a handicap room with no tub (I have two small children). Requested another room, got another handicap room (with a tub) that adjoined another room. Neighbor was loud and that was accentuated by the fact that the adjoining doors had no seal at the bottom- light and sound filtered straight through, keeping myself and my children up for hours, and up again early when he played heavy metal (the same song four times) for two nights. Then my 3 year old found someone elses underwear in our room. Asked for another room (was discounted a whopping $5 for the underwear), and it was much quieter, though the air conditioning was not on when we entered and it was 100 degrees - literally.When I went to get breakfast one morning, I found that my debit card was missing $400. Turns out RRI had put through a total of 5 preauthorization hold totaling approximately $630 in addition to the $211 I paid for my 3 night stay. It has now been 26 days and they have yet to make it right. 2 holds have dropped, but three remain for a total of $420 in unauthorized holds on my account. They havent gotten back with me on the issue when promised, have not sent the information my bank requires to drop the holds as promised, and will never, EVER be getting my business again.
Hotel was fine room was clean and very quite....staff from the untranied rude front desk girl (whose name im unsure of bc when asked told me she didnt have to tell me and also hid her name tag behind her sweater) to Kurt the im gonna put in writting one thing and do the next manager to the 5 corporate people who only could only offer an im sry call back if we dont call you employees are clearly why this hotel is rated a 2 star. From the first stay to the last they made it an inconvience and a hassel to deal with. In my opnion RED ROOF INN is a sad excuse for a corporate company again not bc a bad hotel but bc their employees incompetence. 2 star is being very generous reguarding the canton location.
I would of gave it 4 stars but the girl at front desk Charlie I think her name was.... Was extremely rude and was hitting on my husband the whole time! Her appearance wasnt up to par either she smelled of alcohol! Dont know who would hire someone with little to no experience in customer service!
But theyre still very nice and courteous the room is clean bed uncomfortable the shower drain was clogged took them three days to fix it that TV speaker has a vibration in it whenever youre watching a movie with alot of bass its hard to make out what the actors are saying maintenance will not replace it housekeeping didnt clean my room two days in a row other than that everyone is really nice and courteous
Very nice. This is one of Red Roofs next gen inns, meaning the Canton, Ohio, inn has been renovated. My room had hardwood floors, granite countertop, flat-screen TV, Wi-Fi and a comfortable desk chair.The Red Roof in Canton is close to a nice mall, tons of restaurants, the Pro Football Hall of Fame, gas stations, Starbucks ... just about anything you could want.This was a very good value.
I am not one to complain I paid for a double through Priceline I only need a single for the night so I took the single on the bottom floor because I dont like climbing stairs and she said there was no doubles on the first floor with a microwave in a refrigerator the sink in my first room clogged up and it was getting nasty so I called a night auditor and she gave me a room 10 rooms down from my old room its got a microwave or refrigerator two beds
I will change my rating when I get my refund from the 2 nights I didnt stay n left early ask your night desk clerk about the lady that had a severe panic attack in her lobby that will jog your memory i was told I get a call to pick up my money no call no nothing n was a week today when we left
Ok to star with they gave me a room that was already occupied ,after I reserved it 4 hours before ,then they moved me to another room and the smoke detector was not working and was beeping like every 30 seconds then they fix that ,to many problems after 12 hours of driving ,I never had a problem with red roof before but this one is not the best one by far , I dont recomend this hotel , is all up to you

2022-01-13Not bad place to stay. Kind of hit or miss with some of the rooms. Some are nicer then others(more up to date, nicer appliances an furniture, everything functions as should, and cleaner). Decently sound insulated compared to almost any other hotels. Office staff really nice and friendly. Overall not bad place to stay for the price. Just like most hotels theres always some rooms that have seen better days and need things fixed or just replaced and that couldve been cleaned better. I suppose that more on the person cutting corners cleaning it then the hotel itself. Plus its right in the middle of beldon so everything is right next door.

2022-07-10Great location, beautiful rooms and very clean. Located in an area with lots of stores and restaurants. We have stayed in some very questionable areas and hotels with prior vacationing.. it was definitely a relief to having no complaints about this stay. Would most definitely stay here again!

2022-05-25The employees and the hotel itself is ok but dear GOD the noise. If you plan on getting some shut eye you wont. You are right by businesses so everyday you will hear a garbage truck wake up you at 520 in the morning. Thats if the other guests and the cars dont do it first. There is no sound proof walling in the front of your room so you hear everything!

2022-06-25We called 2 different employees to verify our early check in, they confirmed it for us and we arrived at 9:30 AM on time and they told us there were no clean rooms and to wait until 1. We just drove 6 hours and now we have to kill 3 hours of time -__-
