Great place. Absolutely love this place. I have gone the past two years, once each year and it has been awesome each time. This place has BMX stuff where you can do pump tracks and jumps. But they they also have a spot with tons of little ramps and routes to simulate riding on different types of terrain. Great place would recommend to anyone who enjoys biking.
This place is awesome. Finally made it there and it exceeded my expectations. My brother and I were riding for about 8 hours. So many things to do. The green trail and the pump room was my favorite. Staff was friendly. I seen a variety of skill levels and awesome to see that many people sharing the same fun passion. They have something for everyone- just amazing how it all flows together. Cannot wait to go back!
Been to Rays MTB a few times during operation. I believe theyre open October to April or May. I reached out to see if they would allowed other vehicles. The owners quickly responded and were nice and respectful, even if if it wasnt the news I wanted. Rays is clean and everyone is nice and patient while youre on the tracks. I use the flow trail and the novice/beginner tracks because Im not ready to go on the main tracks. Its a great indoor facility. Highly recommend.
This place is an entire universe in itself. Ive been hearing about it for a long time, and I was fortunate enough to be visiting some good freinds in Cleveland and they were kind enough to let me join their gang for the evening. The staff here are really freindly and helpful, and they are keen to make sure you enjoy your visit and have a great time. There is so much to see and do here, something for all skill levels from me (training wheels!) to the unbelievable skills of my American buddies.
Every year Ray’s indoor mountain bike park gets better and better and this year is no exception. No matter what your skill level, you’ll find something to ride here but the intermediate to advanced rider will definitely have more to play with. Changes have been made to make the park flow better to combat traffic on busy days while cramming in the miles. In 7 hours of riding (4.5hr moving time) I clocked 25 miles. And when that’s on a single speed dirt jumper, you’re really earning those miles. Definitely worth the trip.
You know some people who would love to ride the bikes in the winter time but they cant go to race mountain bike West 98th and Wolford big industrial park and let me tell you its the greatest place to ride a bike or learn how to ride a bike and you got beginner tracks and you got intermediate tracks and you got jumps and all sorts of stuff me and a friend went there and we loved it !!!!!!
It was super fun to see all the other forms of biking (Im a fan of DH and trail riding, and there was a bunch of bmx/dirt jumpers) and the trails there where very well built, especially the pump track. However, half the park (including all of the technician parts, the elevator, the rocky bits, and the wooden skinnies where closed for renovations. Aside from that, the park was great! The rentals where very cheap, and you get free knee pads if you ask. Also, you could swap out your rental for either a bmx, dirt jumper, or XC hardtail wheneverFirst picture is the bmx jump place, with a foam pit (if you want to use the foam pit, you have to bring a bike, there are no rentals in the pit)Second is the pump trackThird is the rental dirt jumper I got for $18/dayThe last 4 pictures are parts of the park that where closed
Way too much fun! We spent 6 hours here and were SPENT by the time we left. Park is awesome. Lots of options for varying skill levels. When you need a break there are lots of places to sit and relax. We had pizza delivered for lunch and it worked out great. Bring lots to drink and snacks...youll need them.
If you like mountain biking even a little bit, you cant come to Cleveland without spending a few hours at Rays! There is so much fun to be had. Its great that theres room for highly skilled and novice riders alike. All types intermingle and peacefully coexist while there are elements that clearly cater to a variety of skill levels.
I love coming here over the winter time when the weather has you down. You can always turn that frown upside down by coming down to Rays. There are so many features to play on. Most of it is out of my skill range, but I love to come and watch others ride and to get some riding in myself. The staff there is awesome. Everyone is a shredder and willing to help. The overall vibe is down-to-earth and cultivating. Trails are very well marked. Prices are very fair. I only wish they had better food options nearby. We ordered some pizza from a place called primoz and it was pretty awful and expensive to boot. it also took quite a long time to get to us but thats another review for another day. Rays gets 5 stars 🌟
Really awesome place, my bf and i had a blast here!! so much to do and so fun, but BE CAREFUL. you might get covid if you come here. the place is packed and you can’t socially distance yourself, my boyfriend and i both got covid after coming here :( just be aware you might get it
The cure for your winter blues or fat gut. Every level rider can ride and have fun here, from the beginner to world class pros, there is something for you here. The nicest staff and customers around. Rental bikes, parts and some service available. Hand laced wheels by Paul Rad available also. Pros and locals ride side by side its not out of the ordinary to run into several big name pro riders on a visit to Rays! If you enjoy riding a bike at all this place is worth it to visit. Plus when will you get to ride your bike in a hundred year old abandoned factory?
If you can ride a bike you should visit. All skill levels from beginner to expert can ride Rays. The staff is awesome, the park is world class, the experience is second to none. No need to be intimidated any one who can pedal a bike can find some fun and challenging terrain. Ive ridden with 8 year old kids to 60 yr old men and women. I am so happy Cleveland has this world class place!
What an epic place. Im just getting back into BMX and mountain biking after a 20 year hiatus. It was truly mind blowing to experience such a wide variety of riding all under one roof. The staff was super friendly as were most people that were riding. There is absolutely something for everyone in reference to skill level as well as preference. We are all ready heading back next week!
Little known treasure of an indoor mountain and bmx bike park with three separate trails that differ in difficulty. Safety equipments as well as bikes available for rent on site when you get there and drinks and snacks available as well. When I arrived I saw a Dominos Pizza being delivered, so they can accept delivery food orders too. Pretty huge place and lots of people coming out very happy and tired! 😊
This is my 3 year old daughter and husband outside upon arrival. We traveled from outside of Philadelphia to ride. We have been to other parks like Wheel Mill and striders were able to ride. She has done pump tracks on her strider. It broke her heart when we had to tell her she couldnt ride it there. We rented a 12 inch pedal bike. After two days she was riding the bike. Unable to do the pump track because of the pedal brakes. She still learned a new skill and she wouldnt if it wasnt the little push she needed. They also had a little play area for kids with a slideStaff was amazing. Thanks for an amazing trip will be back again
Some spots are well weathered and rough and others are like new and perfect. Place is huge. Semi easy to get lost or separated from your party. Everything is very fun. Staff is nice. Would get higher stars if would just build on top of more of the rough and pitted floors and patch holes better and its hard to even mention this since wasnt that bad at all really, just kinda obvious here and there. Overall just an amazing place. All the riders friendly. 200 people could be there and it still doesnt feel that crowded really.
Had a great time here. They do have something for every skill level. As someone who has never done anything like this before, I really appreciated being able to improve my skills on different features. One thing that was disappointing was how quickly things went downhill the moment it started raining. There were leaks and buckets EVERYWHERE, and some areas were blocked off.
Loving Rays Indoor Mountain Bike Park more and more. On my second visit now, but on a Trek Stache 7 thats set up for this place, what a huge difference! Looks like on my Procaliber I need to put smoother tires, higher pressure in tires and forks, lower the seat and covert to a 1-by. Till then, the rentals make it easy to just jump and go! Talk about a freaking workout, after 3-5 miles Im whipped! I will be coming until the outdoor trails dry up, its so much fun here.
The GoPro effect is real...Everything looks easy on video but its actually challenging irl. Caters to all skill levels. I got in, employees super nice and helpful setting up equally great rental bikes. I attempted to find the beginner room for a warmup, however I got lost and was on the xc trail. I was too slow and couldnt make it up one jump, (see pic) so I bailed off to the sideI couldnt ride so found a room and called for help. KEITH WAS SO HELPFUL. He went and found me and brought me ice and water. I had a great time
What a cool and amazing place. I loved every second of it. I fell a few times up to the point that I almost cried 🤣but I did not. This place pushed me hard to believe and trust in my skills when riding their trails. All kidding aside, Please be safe when you are here. Bring proper safety gear such as: Helmet (full-face), knees and elbow pads.Having health insurance prior to coming here is recommended!
Awesome indoor bike park!!! This place is amazing for all biking disciplines. They have tons of features and all types of progression hits that you can easily step your riding game up in a few hours. Great vibe there as well, everyone is chill and courteous. Great spot and kid friendly as well.
Great place to bike when its cold outside. Varying levels of difficulty in terrain and has something for every skill level. You can rent bikes, but at this time not helmets due to the pandemic. Snacks/drinks can be purchased. Lockers available for rent. Either bring your own lock or will have to purchase one if wanting a locker. Also feasible to just leave stuff in your car.
WOOHOO! Cant wait to go back! :DThis is a fantastic place to hang out at for a few hours, whether by yourself or with some friends! The staff were super kind, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to as someone brand new to the sport and this location. The trails are well marked (by color and signs) although they are so extensive its easy to get lost. For the most part, everyone was respectful of not getting in each others ways and the wait to get onto a track was never more than a minute at most, which was fine since I needed to catch my breath anyway. Even when a section was a bit too congested for my comfort, there are so many other places to explore and ride...having nothing to do while waiting was never an issue. There was a free beginners clinic happening on the evening I went.
Would totally recommend going. Renting or taking a dirt jumper is going to be more fun then a mountain bike. I took a long travel enduro bike and had no problem, my skill was most likely holding me back but I may have felt a better on a dirt jumper or BMX. Over all a great place to spend the day.
Awesome place to ride, wish we had one in Michigan. Great options for all different skill levels. High quality rental bikes mean no worrying about equipment. Could ride all day and not get bored. Work on tech, pump track, jumps and drops, take some teeters and bridges youll love it. Snacks and drinks available. Delivery pizza available and popular.
This place is great for all riders regardless of skill level. Its even nice for those parents who dont ride but watch their children. Nice working bathrooms, comfortable common area, tv for entertainment while not riding. Very friendly staff with parking to accommodate a large crowd of riders.
Cheap thrills use to belong to the movies and theme parks, but nothing takes away the crown from the big entertainment enterprises like an industrial free flow roller ride. If you want to get into a new aesthetic while you put on the pain, get a chance to sweat it out as you fly through a perfect example of form from function. This place is a work of art to say the least. It has readily accessible trails for all ages and skill levels. Hotels are nearby for those like me who have to travel to get there. There are plenty of delivery options for food if you get famished (and you will be). Give it a shot!
This is a great place. You can ride your bike for hours at a time here and it never gets boring. There is so much to do and always a new challenge to tackle. I could see most any skill level enjoying this place as well, from someone that has never really gone mountain biking, to the expert. There is terrain geared towards every skill level. Theres a nice vibe to the place as well, so its not a bad place to just hang, order a pizza, and relax between rides. If your thinking about going I would highly recommend checking it out. The first-timer deal is a nice, affordable way to check the place out. It can be a bit busy on the weekends however. So Id suggest trying it out on a weekday first.
I feel like I need to introduce ourselves first, so you have a better understanding of our review. My husband is a skilled mountain bike rider. Our (13yo) son is following in his footsteps along with our (9 yo) daughter attempting the same. And then there is me, Im athletic and a bit adventurous, however being on a bike is extremely intimidating. Rays is AMAZING! All four of us had a great time. There was a place for everyone to fit in. The staff is polite and accepting. What I thought was even more impressive is the community. Everyone was polite and kind and looked out for one another. We will absolutely return. Oh, by the way, we drove 4.5 hours and stayed at a hotel. We will return for Rays. Make sure you pack water and plenty of snacks.
Clevelands own Disney World! We have been riding here since the beginning and it never gets old. Raised our boys riding here and they are now grown men with careers and a passion for riding. The trails are always maintained and progressive. Great for every level of rider from beginners to pro level. In fact its common to be on the platform with a professional rider sitting next to you. The seating makes it convenient to serve food and keep your energy stores up while keeping your stuff centralized. You can push yourself and your skillset every time you ride. All ages and skillsets are welcomed. The trails are clearly marked and laid out to match your ride level. Cant say enough positive things about Rays MTB!
If you made it this far, stop reading and drive to Rays!!! I went today for the first time, fantastic! Such a great mix of areas from complete noob to pro level. I saw families with small kids just starting, teens / 20 year olds with mad bmx skills, and plenty of mtb riders in between of all ages. Pump tracks (a small beginner one a large advanced one), skinnies, rollers, table top, etc. Facility overall is in very good condition.
I LOVE Rays BMX, its legit a leg workout, but extremely fun! Staff are nice, place is nice, and when I had my party there, we had the place to ourselves. Its perfect for any sort of partying, and would highly recommend for a birthday party. For $41, and maybe a bike/helmet rental fee, its really cheap and worth it!Perfect for beginners all the way to experts.Would Highly recommend!!
Family had a blast! Children 10 and 8 rode almost all the sections. Drove up on a Friday morning and park was almost empty. Saturday it was absolutely packed! Would have given 5 stars if they didn’t have Metallic on repeat, which I to listen to while I’m lifting weights, but all day at bike park with kids was a bit much. Was really annoying after a couple hours lol. Maybe diversity the music a little more... add in a little chill rock n roll. Other than that, the whole family loved the park!
This place is a true gem. It has every skill level and feature you can think of covered. BMX room is always buzzing, jump lines are great, beginner areas and pump track are great places to start, flow trail is nice and long, and what I find most impressive are all their cross country skill training features. Fireplaces and plenty of places to sit throughout. Its affordable, gigantic, and yet they keep adding onto it. They thought of literally everything. Gets pretty crowded on weekends, but dont feel intimidated. People are really considerate here, which you wouldnt expect with the amount of teenage boys.
Absolutely fantastic place! Ive seen men and women into their 60s and 70s biking around having a good time with kids as young as 5-6! Everyone is friendly and willing to help you get better at biking. The atmosphere is also great I cannot recommend it enough. If you are in the Cleveland area and like biking, you need to come here.
I dont have a ton of mountain biking experience but that doesnt matter at Rays.. Theres so many areas for people of different skill levels to practice and improve. If you like riding around and going over small features they have that. You want to hit a jump track or two, theyve got that covered as well. The staff is also really friendly.
Such a fun place for people of all ages and levels of bicycle experience. Very family friendly, you can have food delivered or bring in your own. You can bring your own bike and gear or rent theirs. The staff is friendly and very helpful. My family had an amazing time and plan to go back again soon. We went early this month and havent stopped talking about all of the fun we had. I highly recommend this place for people that enjoy BMX bicycling or bicycling in general.
I was absolutely blown away with the amount of detail as well as the sheer size of the complete facility. There is something there for everyone. Plenty of room to sit and relax, as well as lots of locations to watch others ride. Super facility, plenty of parking, easy to find. Cant wait to return.
One of the best parks I have visted. They have so much to over beginners to the most advanced riders. They offer a variety of trails from beginners to advanced. They have a foam pit, resi ramp. They also have a bowl. And a park room. The staff is knowledgeable and very helpful. 15/10 will visit again!!!!
This place is excellent. Same feels as a skatepark if you’ve ever been to one but with less craziness. People of all skill levels were riding. From folks just cruising around not hitting a single jump to people throwing backflips. A very unique atmosphere that anyone who can mountain even decently should experience. Go check it out!!
We were there this past weekend with our Boy Scout Troop and it was awesome! This place is amazing, the set up is wonderful, the condition of the entire park is well maintained and everyone there is super nice. The staff will answer any questions you have, as will the regulars. We had 21 boys ranging from 11 to 18 and 6 out of shape adults, and there was something for everyone to do and have fun while doing it. The adults turned into kids again and we were all reliving our time as unstoppable kids. The set up ranges from different rooms or areas to actual trails that will take you through the entire park. All the areas and trails range from beginner to expert, so you will need to realize your own ability before trying the different areas. Also, plan on staying the entire day, as they allow coolers and you can order Dominos or from a local Chinese restaurant for delivery.Over all I will be back, as this place was great.
Only one word to describe Rays; INCREDIBLE! I have known about Rays for many years but for some reason never went up to see what it’s all about? My parents live East of Cleveland and we visit all the time but still never once did I bring our bikes.Recently I told my son about Rays and he kept bugging me until I said yes. I am so thankful that he kept the pressure on me because the trip is well worth it! We’ve gone up twice in the last month and are planning at least 3 more trips. We will definitely be getting season passes next year because once you go you won’t want to stop! It’s also fun for the whole family as my wife rode with us and after a few hours her skills improved greatly.DON’T HESITATE, Go to Rays and you’ll see what all the fuss is about!!!(Also, they let you bring food and drinks in and they give you helmets and pads with the price of admission so you won’t break the bank)
Heaven for anyone that cruises on two wheels. This place will blow your mind. It’s overwhelming really. There is something here for every skill level. So many different size box lines. Perfect place to learn pretty much everything. It is made for mountain bikes but it’s totally bmx friendly and awesome. Even as a street rider I’m able to have a blast here. Obviously I’d love to see a better street room but I would never hold that against them there’s so much else to do here.
This. Place. Rocks! I drove three hours to get here and I am really, really impressed! There are so many paths and technicals here. Even if youre a beginner, this place is for you. Complete with a little lounge area, a fireplace, lots of retail and bike parts along with bicycle sales and service. I even bought a koolaid man t-shirt before I left. Ill be back!
Rays is an amazing place. Bike riders of all ages and levels come together and have a good time. You have moms and little kids, incredibly talented teenagers, older adults and everything in between. There is terrain for all skill levels. Riders are friendly and courteous to each other. It is a great vibe.
This is a hidden Gem of biking! Although I grew up in the area and rode bikes on trails surrounding Rays, he Incorporated the idea inside the warehouses which I thought was ingenuous! Awesome for the kids, great to celebrate birthdays and any other events! Cheers mates!
Love this place! The first time I ever came here was actually during this summer on my new Specialized Stumpjumper while they were redoing a few of the sections. There was still plenty to ride, which I think says a lot about how big this facility is, and theres something here for everyone. Ive shown up on a full suspension mtb, rented a BMX bike, and rented DJs here and was not dissatisfied. Staff is awesome, Ive learned a lot about bikes from the staff here at Rays. Theyve even helped me look over other peoples bikes that I was test riding, and potentially buying. The atmosphere is great too, the people Ive encountered here are some of the friendliest Ive ever met, a lot have even let me ride thier bikes to help me find something comfortable for me. Ive also received a lot of encouragement from strangers here when Ive found myself too timid to try something Ive never done. Ive seen everything from child prodigies here, to people in thier late 50s cruising around having a good time. If you can ride a bike, I cant think of any reason not to come here and try it at least one time.
Rays is a most rad place. Its perfect keeping up your chops during the off season. Also great for first timers (to the sport) since its a controlled environment. Building confidence is key and its easy to do here. My only beef is I wish there was a first-timer offer on the weekend for folks out of town. Even more so would be a discount for out of town folks in general. But thats a VERY small wish vs the amount of fun is had here.
We travelled here from the D.C. area for a weekend trip back in March of this year. The staff was AWESOME! Answering all of our questions, very laid back and friendly! The trails range from very beginner friendly to all out expert stuff- there is something for everyone! We will definitely be making the trip again!
Ive been there like 10 times and every week I asked my parents if I can go it requires very little skill to do almost everything in the park its the best place for me to ride my bike and hang out with my friends and share the experience of this place its really unbelievable how big it is and how fun it is
An old warehouse complex converted to an indoor biking center. It says mountain biking, but I’d just call it a bike park. There’s stuff for the BMX guys and the mountain bikers. If you like biking, you’ll love the challenges that lie ahead of you at Ray’s. They have different levels and while I’m just an average skill biker, I had plenty to try and was able to find comfortable and challenging areas as much as I needed. More fun with a group of friends if you aren’t a serious biker. We spent 3-4 hours there and it was enough for me.
I recently made my first trip to Rays and hope it wont be my last! The front door is a little hard to find if you dont know to drive around the to the inside parking lot of the building. The riding is great and the staff is super helpful. There are areas for every skill level and I saw everyone from first timer to old pro while I was there. It is worth noting that there are plenty of places to get in over your head if you arent paying attention. Take a few minutes when you first get there to walk around and find the few observation platforms and get an idea of the different areas before rolling out. As it says at Boulders Valmont park:Pre-rideRe-rideFree-rideThe price of admission is worth every penny.Thankss for existing Rays
Keith in the staff at rays are very friendly and welcoming. Doesnt matter if youre Ripper doing triple double backflip stuff or just a regular Joe wanting to ride their bike inside in the winter to get some exercise. They will treat you just the same. This place is amazing when youre in the parking lot youll see license plates from all over the country at any given time. Even the house kitty cat is pretty cool make sure you pet him while youre there
This is the best bike place I have ever ridden. It has options for MTB and BMX. Foam pit, trail bike set ups, quarter pipes, and even just a trail to ride loops around on all day. Best part is, is that its all indoor. They have riding for all skill levels, from training wheels to pros. Everything here has great flow. If you love riding bikes, this is the place to do it. Dont own a bike but love riding? They have rentals!
This is the only place like it of its kind in this area and is the first in the world. Its awesome that it started right here in Cleveland, Ohio. Ray Petro has the most inspiring story, and if you ever get the chance to meet him youll find that he is a really cool guy. The informal atmosphere and the fun, yet grungy ambience, really make this a great place for anyone. Whether youre a hardline pro or somebody who just wants to ride for fun; anyone can enjoy themselves here.
Great fun, especially the pump track and box jumps. Unfortunately they do not have a indoor dirt track which if you ride BMX Racing you would have better practice at the XC trails. You are allowed to order food and/or drink or bring it with you. The bike rentals are fairly good, or so I hear, however the helmets have MiPs crash safety which is a absolute MUST for bike parks. The pricing is fair for rentals and to get in. Also all of the trails and courses are perfectly maintained and feel secure especially on the cat-walk. trail, and that was safely above average. The only problem with the bike park is its location, it is hidden behind a seemingly abandoned factory and looks run down or ghetto
I have seen kids as young as 5 and adults as old as 60 with smiles ear to ear at this place. Its well marked so you know what section you are going to (Beginner, novice, expert), its well lit, they have TVs, WiFi, Fireplaces, LOTS of room to sit and watch the action. You dont have to be Mr. X Games to enjoy this place. They have a great deal this year $25 first timers only gets you entry fee, bike, pads, helmet. you must go once to see the amount of hard work that was put into this place. The bikes they rent are great as well, but you can bring your own. NO They didnt pay me for this review, no I dont work there, just drive 2.5hours from Detorit to enjoy it
Unlike anything youll ever see with intertwining trails going all around a neat and interesting old factory. Tons of smaller sections to practice transitions, skinnies, BMX tricks and more. Rented a bike that was able to take a beating from an amateur who hadnt a clue what he was doing. Plus they allow you to switch to another bike (choices of mountain, dirt jumper, and BMX) on the fly.

2022-03-19It was a fantastic place to ride your bike during the winter months. Excellent course layout with areas for every level of riding ability. The price for a day pass was (what I considered to be exceptionally low) very fair. A food truck that changes from day to day arrives around 1 pm. for a few hours.

2022-02-10Amazing experience! Must do experience for bikers of all ages and abilities. My favorite was the pump track! Price was reasonable and the place was loaded with something for every desire and skill level. Theres a green trail thelat goes around the entire park thats suitable for most skill levels.

2022-03-08Four dads and four teen boys had an absolute BLAST at Rays. Drove up from CBus and would do it again in a heartbeat. Rented bikes as we didnt want to transport ours, and highly recommend that - we got good Trek bikes that were in great condition and sized to fit. When one dad flipped his and disabled a back brake they simply swapped out the bike. We enjoyed all of paths which were well designed to accommodate all skill levels. Plenty of picnic tables to leave excess gear and snacks, and good food options on-site. Highly recommended.

2022-05-24Polite, helpful staff. Huge place. Keep your map on you, your first time. So much to do.Basically Disneyland to any MTB/BMX guy/girl. Tools available, rental bikes available, air available, bathrooms, fireplaces, parts for sale, drinks for sale, food trucks visit at meal times. The only downside is that they are practically seasonal. So make sure that they are going to be open when you want to go.

2022-02-28You dont need me to tell you how cool this place is, but damn! Most fun Ive ever had on two wheels! I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful as well. The manager went out of his way more than once to assist me with purchases and offer solid wisdom about the business. Awesome music playing the whole time too! Cant wait to go back, well worth the 6 hour drive.

2021-11-02Took the 7 hour drive from Pennsylvania right before covid entered the states. This place did not disappoint! Really fun transitions on all their courses. Love how they had a section for every skill level rider.

2022-03-18This place was amazing. Their staff was helpful and friendly. Theres plenty of places to kick back and relax between runs. There are lockers (bring your own lock) so stow valuables. The first rental bike I had wasnt my favorite but they let me swap it to another one. Highly recommend this place. I cant wait to go back!

2021-02-21One of a kind! Such an amazing place with options for all skill levels. Rays Indoor Mountain Bike Park keeps things interesting with new designs each year, and to be riding in the heart of winter is incredible. What a cool place!
