I am very impressed by this salon. Julia trimmed my hair, and she did a great job! She was very sweet and professional as well. Ill definitely be visiting again. Raphaels offers great prices for awesome service.
Jordan riddle did an amazing job on my hair! She explained everything very detailed. It came out exactly how I wanted it! They were all very professional and I had a great day off getting my hair done!! Love love love !!! A huge thanks and a big wow to Jordan! I will be going back !!!
I went here about 6 months ago, I was told It was a very good deal since they were in school so i thought I’d give It a shot. I paid for a 60 minute massage and a facial.It was terrible. The lady that did the massage massages me with latex gloves which felt so uncomfortable, I was in a strapless robe they gave me so she didn’t even massage my shoulders or back or even my feet. She just did my arms and my legs. Then the workers there kept coming in and out of the room.As far as the facial, It was equally as bad, she kept the mister in my face and It was so uncomfortable. The lights stayed on in the room and there was so much noise outside the room and my room was connected to someone else’s so people were coming and out of that too.It was a very good deal but I won’t ever go back.

My girlfriend went to this location and she told me that a student named Matt made fun of her. Making fun of where she was raised and how the people from there went on about their business. He said that he wouldnt dye her hair because he didnt have enough time to do so even though she was the last person he was scheduled to cut that afternoon, and he was done with her hair by 3 and didnt leave until 5:30. He had told her that getting her hair dyed a certain color was trashy and to top it all off, the guy made her sit through a 4 hour hair cut that shouldve only taken 45 minutes to an hour because he was more interested in playing and texting on his phone. My girlfriend says the SCHOOL itself is amazing and deserves 5 starts but during this particular trip this gentleman was completely unprofessional and extremely rude. She says she will never deal with him again.

Went with my wife and grandchildren. The staff was very friendly, welcoming, and professional. The shop was very clean and inviting. I received a cut from Kristi under the supervision of Lynn, both were fantastic and I received one of the better cuts I have ever had. I have since received 2 more excellent cuts from Kristi. I highly recommend their services.
Yeah, I went to this school. It seemed like no one was nice to me, except for Ross. She was so nice to me and accepted me for who I was. But, everyone else, was mean to me. They would not let me practice on their hair but yet, theyd let their friends do it. And I felt like they have an issue with me. I never understood why. Maybe I did something wrong and didnt know about it. I dont know.But I would never go back to this school again.
I am writing this review to express my gratitude for services I received from Sandra Woodring at Raphaels in Alliance. I went for a relaxation massage and she happened to be the student on duty. Let me say first, that I love massages...I love Shiatsu, hot rock, aromatherapy, accupressure, Swedish, therapeutic...I never met a massage that I didnt like... and I am fairly experienced in that I have had massages from schools, to country clubs to destination spas. However, I really have to rave about Sandra. She not only offers massage and relaxation, but she truely uses those techniques to promote wellness. She asked a number of questions about my aches and pains and was intuitive about where I felt the pain, as well as where it was originating. She constantly evaluated my response to different pressures and massage locations. Her communication was outstanding and I have found that she has a natural talent for her profession. I have returned again and again for massages from her at Raphaels and I have felt a reduction in pain, a faster recovery time from little strains and a decrease in stress and I am no longer fighting constant shoulder pain. She is professional, talented and eager to expand her knowledge base. I have to say that I was shocked to find such skill at a school, but I think it was serendipity that I stopped in on a whim that first day. I hope to follow her wherever she works after graduation. I was and I continue to be completely impressed by her abilities. Fabulous job!
If you are coming to get your makeup airbrushed, save your money! My best friend and I went in on the morning of her wedding to get our makeup done and they did such a bad job we had to scramble to redo it ourselves once we got home. The worst part.... she had hers done by an instructor! Imagine Elizabeth Taylor in Cleopatra but done by a nine year old. We even brought pictures as an example of what we wanted and it looked NOTHING like the picture. Save your money and your time - DO NOT GO HERE!
Im a former student of Raphaels and would recommend this school to anyone interested in a fun and rewarding career in the salon and spa industry. The educators, staff, and management are very well trained to help you get educated in such an exciting career. You dont just learn about hair like many other beauty schools, you get the education you need in hair cutting, hair chemical services, natural nails, artificial nails, pedicures, skin care, massage, waxing, makeup, salon management, etc. Raphaels is an excellent school!
I went to the beauty school to get my hair cut and relaxed by Shawna Kittinger, and she did a wonderful job! She was able to transform my wild spiral curls into a cute, manageable, curly, stylish bob that accentuates my face and lets my fun personality shine through my hair. My hair has a beautiful shape and texture to it, and looks healthy. Shawna is a professional stylish with good listening skills, and she is a wiz with those scissors! She is the only one I let cut my hair.
Shawna Kittinger did my hair and I love it! I have very curly, thick, hard to work with hair, and she knew exactly how to cut and manage it. She also did a relaxer and glossing treatment which worked wonders. Ill definitely go back to see her in the near future!
Took my boyfriend here to get a haircut, and waited nearly an hour. He asked for a fade no shorter than his beard. (Fade, being shorter at the bottom and long on top) Half an hour later his hair was all one length, WAY too short, and missing big choppy patches in the back. It was a horrible experience. I couldve done it better from home. We will not be returning.
Very poor job done on my toes. The nail polish was tacky and old. When I was done and the polish was dry, it smeared with a single touch. And no top coat!! I expected more out of these very smart women and men. Definitely would not come again.
I currently attend Raphaels School in Alliance. I am close to graduation and all I can say is thank you so much to the instructors for their hard dedication and knowledge. Being there when I need them to be and teach me, not only the basics, but much more than I have ever imagined. I have accomplished so much in this school and I would recommend going here for any program in Cosmetology, Esthetics, or Nail tech. And I will continue to come to Raphaels in Alliance for services after graduation.

Raphaels is a great place to bring the whole family! They have everything from manicures to full body massages! The staff and students are all very friendly and professional!
Went to get pedicures told us itd be a 30 minute wait. 1 hour later and still werent taken back to get it done. Left and got our money back. They didnt even apologize.
Went and got a fill in done I got there at 1030am and left at 2 I loved the girl Sarah that did my nails I asked how much where they got told $30 so I got them done at the end I went to go pay they try to charge me $40 and when I said Im not paying anything over 30 dollars the lady told me that its $55 at a salon maybe I should have went to a salon they would havdone right these nails are not done right at all
The lady who did my toes she did not use the scrub. The lady who did my friend nails messed up her thumb.
Im currently a student here at the Alliance location and I love it! The instructors and student are AMAZING! We have a lot of talented students here and if you want an awesome service youll have to come here!
They really F*@#*d up my wifes hair for the 5th freaking time I feel bad for these ppl trying to get a license from them when the supervisor cant watch and correct what they do sucks dont go pay the extra money to get it done right from a reputable salon
I went to this school. The North Olmsted and they are not a good school the manger of this school is not a nice person nobody like the way she talks to people and the way she acts they need to get a new manger to replace her she is making the school look bad I would never send no one to this school ever
When coming here keep in mind that they are students and they are learning. You come in here knowing the risks and then leave bad reviews. Come on now, how do you expect them to learn?

2022-05-10The massage was very relaxing and very budget friendly. They also did a fantastic job washing and drying my dreads even tho they had never had a dreaded gentleman come in for a wash before. 2022-01-08Im sharing my experience with esthetician Alexis Hunt, and I always have a relaxing time while Im with her. Shes very passionate and proactive about skincare, and will educate you every step of the way through your facial. The only person Im comfortable with treating my skin. 👍

2022-01-15Please turn the heat up for the students and staff at the Alliance location during the winter months especially when it’s a freezing day. It’s so uncomfortably cold in there for the students, staff and clients like myself. I feel so bad to see the students struggling to stay warm and over hearing how the heat is never on. They pay a lot of money to attend school and I see how hard they work, the heat should not be a problem. They deserve to be comfortable and clients will be lost if they’re going to freeze

2020-11-01Raphaels School of Beauty is an awesome place to go for your beauty needs and hair. The students are very nice and the work is checked by their instructors. Everyone there always takes the time to understand how you want things done. The prices are way fair and because they are reasonable, it gives me the opportunity to give the girls a tip for the wonder job they do. I will be going back again.Betty J Watson

2021-07-28Very nice place, everybody is friendly and got my friends and me started quickly. They were very professional. Not everyone is comfortable with all the different aspects of cosmetology, so it took some longer than others to finish working on my friends nails. Great place, would highly recommend!

2021-01-22The instructor used me as a demo for a beard trim and did so fast, efficiently, and in a way that seemed like her students were learning something they may encounter. The trim itself is probably up there for one of the best Ive had. Highly recommend Raphaels in Alliance. Thanks, guys!
