It was a good place to stop. Outside patio was warm and in the sun. Food was good & big portions. My complaint- one waitress loudly complaining about how cold it was and how much she wanted to go home, it was killing the mood of the whole place. I was hopeful for other server to tell her to get off phone and start cleaning or doing something- even go to back would be nice.
Ive been walking to this place on Tuesdays for lunch for years. Its great! I enjoy eating outside on the patio with the umbrellas as long as it isnt windy or raining. I have never tried having food from this place delivered but they do have decals on the door and windows indicating that it is possible to do so. Their hours are also clearly posted on the front door. The food is always excellent and the staff friendly.
Used to be good place to eat.. i ordered beef chimichangas which is always what i order from there. I used to be shredded beef now it is ground beef and loaded with oil... ewwwww. The flavor nothing like it was. The chips were stale and tasted like they were fried in old oil. Wont order from there again. 😕
Portions were pretty nice. However my supreme nachos were super soggy i had to use a fork. The meat on my tacos and nachos were bland not very much flavor at all. Ive heard such good things and wanted to try. However i am pretty sad that i did. I did it as takeout so maybe it is better in restaurant i dont know.
Quesadillas is a somewhat popular dinner option for locals who use the GrubHub app. Ive seen this place packed to the brim and Ive seen it empty...its all about what time and day you go. As I was waiting on food one day, I read some interesting things that they have on their wall. If youre ever sitting there, I suggest reading the newspaper clipping about the guy who lost his wallet there.
Excellent food, not too pricey, and very friendly staff. The only thing I would like to mention is that a note or some kind of marking on the top of the containers would be helpful. We werent sure whose was whose. But it was all good, and were family, so not a big deal. Thank you for staying open and feeding us chimichanga-craving hungry people. It was delicious. :)
I really wish I could give a 0 star review. First and last time I will ever go to this place. Our take out order was completely messed up; things that were asked for on the side were not on the side, meat was incorrect, the food was incredibly bland. Very disappointed that we spent a good amount of money on food that was way below par. Wont be back 👎👎
The interior decorations welcome you with a southwestern flair, and the food delivers with authentic Mexican flavor. The vegetarian menu section was our main reason for the visit. I ordered the potato enchiladas, and it was tasty. My husband had the Chile pablano rellano. It had a light cheese filling and a fluffy egg coating. We found it had the perfect amount of cheese, but the batter was a little heavy. Both the enchiladas and the rellano had a nice sauce. We finished the evening with a flan which had a dark caramelized sauce. The menu prices are reasonable and the service was good.
5 people at our table ordered the $9.95 margarita and we were all in agreement that they were the worst margaritas we had ever tasted. A $ 10 glass colored water. No taste...no alcohol! Watered down !!!! I wont come back! On the up side- the food was decent! Not our first time here but something has changed, and Ill go elsewhere for my margaritas!
Great place to go eat hang out and enjoy a good meal. So far Ive eaten twice there and from what I can tell their specialties are their steaks. I wasnt too impressed with their chicken burrito but still some good flavors. Their white cheese and guacamole is highly recommended. Overall a great place to eat and enjoy a nice meal.
My wife and I went to get dinner and have a drink before seeing a movie. The enchiladas I ordered had a lot of salt in the sauce and onions in the filling. I wasnt able to finish my meal. My wife said the tacos were OK. Our margaritas were good but I thought the price too high for the overall quality and service. Ill stick with Don Tequilas instead.
Quesadillas is a staple of downtown Amherst. The food quality is consistent and you cant beat the .99 cent Margaritas. The food always comes out hot and fast. But not so fast that you dont have time to enjoy the complimentary chips and fresh salsa. The I always enjoy the fajitas. They have a richness that makes them perfect in or out of a tortilla. Weekends can be a little busy, but week nights are great. You can be in and out with a full stomach in under an hour.
Terrible service! We got our food and had to wait for silverware. They didn’t bring us our entire order but they billed us for it, had to wait for the waitress who was leaning against the bar playing with her nails... finally get the bill corrected and then had to wait to pay. Horrible waitress!
Used to be one of my favorite places to eat. Just ordered dinner tonight and ten minutes later my husband went to pick it up. It wasnt ready and there was no cook. After waiting a little while and discounting one of the meals my husband got the food only to realize the order was wrong. Even after fixing their mistake it was still wrong. Its been well over an hour since placing the original order and we still have no dinner. To make matters worse the waiter who is obviously new and has no idea what hes doing has been nothing but rude to my husband. I am very disappointed and will be taking my business elsewhere.
I wasnt interested in Mexican food tonight but got talked into it. Quesadillas was recommended, and after the conversation-well, we were in. Across the street from the Amherst Theater. We parked in the second lot behind the restaurant. The first lot is a dead end, no turn around and you will need to back out onto the street.Small place, outside seating, good chips, delicious salsa and guacamole. I had the Texana Fundido(spelling is not correct) beef, chicken, shrimp with vegetables and rice with a light cheese sauce for around $11.0 or so. Different, very good. Definitely go back again and bring friends!
As for the the review about eating REAL AUTHENTIC mexican food, Where might that place be in North West Ohio??? Any way food was good, drinks were good and staff was excellent. I will be back. I have eaten at many Mexican restaurants on the West side of Cleveland and so far these guys are really good at what they do. Keep it up.
This cozy little mexican place was our dinner stop just off the Ohio turnpike.Who knew this small lil restaurant in charming Amherst would have one of the best Mexican Vegetarian burritos Ive had! The burrito came with just the right quantity of rice and refried beans which also tasted great. The whole dish did not feel overtly cheesy as many mexican restaurants often make them. The service was great and we had a very satisfying dinner at an astonishingly low price. They are also open till 11pm which makes them ideal for late dinners. Recommended!
Quesadillas is one of old town Amhersts good dining choices. Of particular note are their namesake quesadillas, available with a variety of meats and other additions. The rest of their menu is good as well, with most of the traditional offerings usually found at Hispanic restaurants in a northern American town. I wouldnt say anything is likely to surprise, but neither is it likely to disappoint.
I went there today for three tacos and a pepsi. When the tacos came out there was hardly any cheese on them. I asked for some cheese and it was brought out. When i got the bill they charged me 1.50 for a side of cheese! I also overheard the party next to me complain about being charged for their to go containers! I know nothing in life is free but nickel and diming people is one way to lose business. I wont be going back.

2022-07-09Excellent meal here tonight. I tried something new, quesa birra(or something like that)I cant even tell you how delicious it was. I liked it so much I took one home for my boyfriend. He LOVED it. Infact, he had already eaten a burger before I got home and was only going to have a little bit but ended up eating the whole thing. We also tried the chili colorado which had the most tender, flavorful steak! Service was good. The only reason I didnt give it a 5 was because the menus needed cleaning. Other than that, very good!

2021-08-10Chips and salsa were great; fajitas smelled delicious -- well-seasoned chicken ruined by a surprisingly too 🔥 HOT pico de gallo 🥵; and the cheese in my quesadilla was NOT Mexican (maybe white Velveeta?). That said, the rice was good as were the beans. Servers were friendly enough though not very attentive. Great decor. Definitely a mixed review.

2022-07-19It was ok... nothing that sets them apart compared to any other Mexican place in Ohio. The service was slow and when they were out of a common menu item that half the meals came with they refused to offer a discount. They did stay on top of chips, salsa, and drinks though. I dont think the server really liked his job.

2022-04-13If I could give this restaurant 0 stars, I would. My coworkers and I ordered from here and got the nacho supreme. It was so soggy it’s not funny, we threw away half of it. Then we were on the toilet throwing up from about 6:00 pm until 10 pm and still felt Ill afterwards. Upon calling the restaurant the next day to ask for a refund due to the food poisoning as all of my coworkers and myself got Ill, the manager told me that she’d have to talk to the owners and have them call their lawyer if we did not have a drs note. We never got a call back and we will never be returning.

2022-06-17I ordered a seafood quesadilla, first things first the seafood inside was spoiled. At least the shrimp was absolutely spoiled, it tasted rotten and smelled horrific. I bit into a single shrimp and my stomach instantly turned. I usually love the food here but this was absolutely horrendous!
