Place was very dirty and dingy, bathroom was even worse. Cleaning Staff were extremely noisy very very early in the morning. Only good thing was I did check in after 10 pm and the front desk staff was great. I thought the lady working was super friendly and fast getting me checked in. But I would not stay there again and highly recommend finding someplace else.
Front desk clerk was pleasant. Carpet in room was filthy. Everything is outdated. Nowhere to plug things in at bedside. Beds/pillows were comfortable. No snack machines. Out of coffee at the breakfast bar. Much better places in Fremont for around the same cost. Yes they are renovating but until the upgrades are in, the cost should be much lower.
Positive: The staff at the front counter was beyond nice and helpful. Negative: The hallways were really dirty , in the middle of the night in the bathroom were roaches crawling , I killed 6 and couldnΓΒΏt get them all. Around the edge of the room were dead bugs also. Dirty. CouldnΓΒΏt wait to leave this hotel. Never send anyon
Our room was ok. Heater only had light warm air coming out. No hot water in shower so we moved rooms. 2nd room ok but bathroom had long hair all throughout. Vent had a band-aid hanging from it!! Vents in dining area really need to be cleaned and ceiling tiles replaced.
Iβve been staying at the hotel for the last three years around the same time each year. As of now if we could find another place to stay we would! Our hostel deposit was not returned to us and could not be found. The room condition are no where near what I would pay for.The amount is way more then a guest should ever pay. I challenge the owners or ownership to come and stay at their own property and see if they would stay again!
There was water damage and mold in the bathroom. There was food on the carpet and in the fridge that made it stink. Our room phone did not work. We smelled weed in the middle of the night. Someone next to our room was kicking in the door next to ours and there was shoe prints on the door. I called down to the lobby and the employee did not care. On the hotels website they said there was free breakfast but there was no breakfast. When pulling up to the hotel there was no sign saying the hotels name it looked abandoned. Walking to my room there was wallpaper pealing off the wall and the hotel stunk. I complained to the front desk and they said they would get back to me after speaking to the general manager but I never got a call back. I travel a lot and stay in a lot of hotels and this hotel is the FAR WORST Iβve ever stayed in. Donβt waste your time and money itβs cheap for a reason! Drive 30 more minutes and stay in a better hotel!!!!! THE PICTURES ONLINE ARE A COMPLETE LIE
Where to begin. I was traveling across country with my two cats and needed a place to stay along the route. I didnt book in advance because I didnt know how long I would be driving. I got off the freeway when I saw there were five hotels to choose from. Unfortunately, only Quality Inn accepted pets. The entire place stank of mold. The carpet in the hall, the carpet in my room and chair in my room were so stained I had no idea what the original colors were. And since cats tend to hide under and behind things, I found all manner of filth in the room, not that you had to look hard for it. The table tops were sticky. Dust and dirt everywhere. It was just gross, not to mention way over priced. Considering the neglect in the housekeeping, I didnt want to use the shower, let alone eat the breakfast. I left as soon as I possibly could.
Some plans had drastically changed and I need a place to stay last minute for up to a week that took a pet. They had the room and everything I needed. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay here again. And am so thankful they had an opening at the last minute for me and my kitten.
Positive: The bed was relatively comfortable. Negative: Requested a room for 3 people (2 adults & 1 teenager) and was given a king room, with an uncomfortable chair. Bathtub was clogged and I had to use the ice bucket bag as a glove to pull a hairball the size of a cat out of the drain. Hallway smelled a
Absolutely filthy hotel. Checked in and didnt even make it to my room. There was a giant spider in the hallway, 2 young girls outside their room waiting for a ride because they said the rooms were very dirty and had bedbugs. The wallpaper was peeling, floors were dirty and stained. I dont even know how this hotel is allowed to be open! Your better off sleeping in your car.
The guy running the service desk was great! Everything that could go wrong he went the extra mile to make things good for us. Him by himself is a 10/10The housekeepers need fired!! Our room was NOT clean. Floors hadnt been swept, hair on sink an counters, beds sheets and comforters all stained with who knows what and blood on comforter!!!Was told not first to mention room wasnt cleaned! No other room available bc port clinton under level emergency from all the rain.Had reserved room for two nights, returning home tomorrow :(
Absolutely terrible! I travel alot for work and this was by far the worst hotel! Hallways were disgusting and wires were hanging. Hotel smelled TERRIBLE!! Room was dirty and had trash in it! Sheets even smelled! The only good thing was your front staff. Place should be condemned.
The room wasnβt ok but the Fridge didnβt work. Housekeeping made sure to be as obnoxiously loud as possibly every morning in the hallways slamming things, So i was up by no later than 845 my entire week long stay. The beds were stiff but i must admit they heat worked excellently and the shower literally had the best pressure ever .
Positive: Location Negative: It was not a 3 star hotel. Half of it is being torn down so as you walk to the rooms that wonΓΒΏt be you see carpet thatΓΒΏs torn up, dirty floors, hair on shower wall and floor, musty old smell, no elevator do you have to hand carry your luggage upstai
Front desk gal was amazing. Very clean comfy beds.. quietOnly stopped cuz we got to Ohio at 4am. Were here for a family members 75th birthday. Its a surprise, only his 1 daughter knows that were coming. So, thats the address were 5 minutes from, waiting till 6am cuz my husband was too stubborn to drive to her house at 4am!!! Nor did he think to mention it to her wed be here around 3-4am.Theres something going on in town. Everything else is booked solid, and prices are really high.Ya, that passed 10 minutes of time!
Positive: Hotel was close to the highway and clerk gave an excellent dinner recommendation (Tackle Box II, very tasty walleye). Negative: Hotel was a little run down looking, worn carpets, dark hallways and limited ice machines. Continental breakfast was a little weak but with COVID limitations itΓΒΏs expected.
**** WARRING DO NOT STAY HERE*****This hotel is HORRIBLE! We walked in and two steps into the room and out we went! The room was gross! The smell gave an instant headache. The door had mildew around it. Iβm sure we saw a BED BUG! I wouldnβt allow my dog to sleep here!!!!!!
We are all having to deal with the shortage of employees in the service industry. if so then limit the numbers of rooms opened in relationship to the number of cleaning, service, maintenance and food personnel at each hotel, like what is being done in the restaurant industry. yes there would be less hotel rooms, but charging way more then what has been done in the past and giving a lower stranded of service doesnt help keep customers
The front desk girl was awesome very helpful. Made me feel at home. The room was not so much me.When we first walked in the room it was nice but then i found something in the room that was dated from a week ago. We walked to the bed by the window to set are stuff down and there was something on the bed. Dirt from the HVAC so it wasnt clean for a little while. Other all that the room was alright to relax in for the night. If they can fix that i will definitely come back.
Traveling home from a family event and wanted to cover as many miles as I could but finally got tired and turned off the interstate to find a room at Comfort Suite but found they were full and the reservation line suggested this hotel down the street which had rooms available. I know the Quality Inns are not at the quality level of their sister hotel chain Comfort Suites but decided to get a room because of the late hour. Its time for the chain to pull its franchise and sell it to an independent operator. Basically poorly maintained with peeling wallpaper, stained carpeting, separating ceiling in the bathroom and generally the hotel is worn out. The positive thing I will say is the bed and bathroom were clean and housekeeping did a good job.. If not for that I would have left.
Would not use this hotel again. Room was not clean. Television was small and you could not see the picture. Carpet was damp, socks were wet after I took off my shoes. Shower was dirty. Decided to leave after 2 of 3 nights booked, was told they would not charge 3rd night. They charged 3rd night, will not refund money. I called corporate and they called hotel, agreed to refund. After a week no refund called corporate, they called hotel, said we voided terms so we are out a nights stay. I think this was a result of calling corporate and filing a complaint about the condition of this hotel.
We called Quality Inn reservation to make the reservation for a King Room. The reservation specialist was not the nicest. Got to hotel and was told they over booked so we had to have a double room. The check in girl was nice though. Got into room it smelled very musky and there was a whole in the carpet (like 5 inch round whole), mold in the shower. Just not what I expected out of our experience at all. Then at check out I asked for my receipt and found it to be charged with out my AAA discount that I told the reservation man about and he told me how much it was with it. Again just not the experience I expected.
It was an excellent hotel, the accommodations were wonderful as well as the staff. The restaurant was great as well. The wait staff was great as well. This made the dining experience extra nice. The prices were more than reasonable, I would make the trip out to this facility again just to dine at the restaurant. As I stated the only issue I had was the morning I was to check out I found small ants in the sink, and I was able to rinse them down the drain. I did let the check out staff know about the problem. I would stay at this hotel again without hesitation. Please thank the cleaning staff for me, they kept my room absolutely clean. I was in room 207.
The staff was very friendly and always greeted us with a cheery hello and smile. The room was a nice size. The bedding was clean and crisp looking. The bathroom was very small, but clean. The carpet in our room was in desperate need of a good cleaning, as was the footrest to the chair. Breakfast was the usual hotel breakfast, but it did save us from going out for a hot breakfast. The breakfast area was clean and the girls were quick to get items replaced and assured they were hot.
When we first arrived, the young lady at the front desk was very nice and helped us check in. When we arrived in our room, we found it had not been cleaned since the last hotel guest had left. The beds were unmade, trash cans were full and dirty towels were on the floor. We asked for another room which was cleaner, however the carpets were clearly old and dirty and the room had a smoky smell to it. I would not recommend this hotel as I did not feel like it was worth the price.
My family and I stayed at this hotel for a weekend for a family event. After checking in, the hallway carpets were very dirty with dirty spots and a musty odor. Then after entering the room, it appeared clean, but the carpets were very dirty and there was again a musty odor. in the bathroom we killed mosquitoes...had to go to Walmart for insect spray and Lysol spray. Someone had killed three roaches in the hallway. The next day, we went to lunch and upon returning to our room, housekeeping only left clean towels, but did not make the beds. It does no good to report anything to the manager because she never came on the scene to address the issues. On the plus side, the breakfast was good and the family event held at the hotel was wonderful. Then upon leaving my nephew killed a Brown Recluse Spider, his wife previously killed two spiders when they first arrived. This hotel is very dirty and outdated.
Room was spacious and clean. Mattress was comfortable. However, the room was extremely loud, with diesel trucks idling outside and very loud guests walking by outside the window and in the hallway. Requested a different room but was denied.Additionally, the hot water in the shower was only lukewarm. Fitness center is small and dark.Lastly I told the front desk that we would be leaving at 6:30 every morning, and breakfast didnt start until 7. Was told that we could still get muffins or bagels, but when we tried we were told that there was NO way until it opened.Service was definitely not what I would expect for a 3 star hotel.
FILTHY,mold on ceiling. Mold on ac vents. Mouse poop onbathroomcounter. Gnats all on walls it was pathetic. We were told they had only 1 house cleaner. Then DONT BOOK ROOMS OUT if they arent clean. We left for another hotel, I took a picture of the cloth I used to show clerk.
1/1/18 - Our second visit to this location in less than a year. First time everything was great. They changed our room when our bathroom got locked and they didnt have the key. This was during the Summer17The second time we didnt even get a crib for our baby, as per fire/safety concerns in rooms with two beds. Which didnt make any sense as just 6 months prior we visited the same hotel, got a 2-bed room and got a crib for the baby. So, When did this policy start? After driving for so long (we drove from NY), we were just very tired and hungry, so were our 3 and 1yrs old, we decided no to give a complaint.Breakfast, and specially the coffee was not good either. Not sure if there were any changes in the last 6 months, if there were any, maybe you need to change it back.We definitely will not be staying at this hotel again and do not recommend it for family with young children.
Our experience at the Quality Inn & Conference Ctr. in Fremont, OH, was very pleasant. Arriving late in the evening, we were greeted with a smile, a warm welcome, and very efficient service. The complimentary breakfast was presented well and there was ample selection. We utilized the express check-out service, but everyone on staff was eager to offer any assistance needed and thanked us for our stay. The room, including the bathroom, was spacious, quite comfortable and clean.
It met our needs. We were driving by and stopped here. Rooms were spacious and clean. The decor was decent, not outdated but nothing modern.Overall it was a good experience, I would definitely stay there again. My only complain would be breakfast, it wasnt that great. Ive stayed in other hotels with better breakfast. The selection was very limited and nothing special.
We stayed one night and had an excellent experience. So much so that we decided to get a second night instead of staying in port clinton. The room was very clean, the beds were comfortable, staff was very nice, and breakfast was good. Second night everything was still positive (staff, air conditioning, breakfast) however the room was not cleaned very well. In the bathroom washcloths were still hanging from previous guests and carpet was noticeably dirty. We would stay here again though for sure. Short drive to the different ferries and other attractions in the area.
It was a last minute choice and I was new to town. There was a friendly staf member awaiting me and was very willing to help me get a good nights sleep. I was directed about parking and reassured of my stay. I had never stayed at a Quality Inn so I was leary. My goodness was I impressed. The proce of the room was very reasonable. The room was immaculate and the morning staff for check out mirrored theor coworker the night before with courtesy, promptness and a welcoming smile. I signed up for their rewards program and will definitely come back.
Do not trust any of the good reviews or ratings about this place. Everything about this hotel is out-dated and old. The rooms dont really get cleaned. I had to request to be moved as the first room had feces stains on the toliet and smelled of mildew. The a/c looked as if it hadnt been cleaned in years and the floor doesnt even looked to get vaccumed. The breakfast is mediocre at best and you dont know if youll get cheerful or bla staff to help you out.
Ive stayed at this property a few times and it seems as though each time has gotten worst. Each time I have stayed for more than 1 night I have to get my keys reactivated on the second day. Which wouldnt be a problem if you had to walk by the front desk to get to the room. At this hotel you have to park by you entrance door and swipe to get it. But I couldnt so I had to drive back around for them to fix my keys. This last time, I didnt get any maid service (and I didnt have my do not disturb sign up) so the small trash can was filled up by the time I left. I worked an very long day the second day I was there and got in late and the last thing I wanted to do was either venture to the front desk or call and wait for new stuff like coffee, towels and trash pick up that may or may not ever come. Thankfully they had an extra roll of toilet paper in the bathroom because the tiny roll they had on the holder ran out the first night. Speaking of the bathroom, the water pressure was horrible. The last time I complained they said they were working on it. Now over a month later, still the same problem. I highly doubt they are still working on it. This hotel is in desperate need of a remodel or refresh. Chipped paint on doors and walls, stains on carpet. The tv is also dark. I was told it was an energy saver feature on the tv. If its a programs that takes place at night, you better plan on turning all the lights off or you wont be able to see anything. Too many negatives means Im moving on elsewhere. There is a newer Choice Brands hotel a little farther down the road, looks newer and nicer from the exterior, so Ill be going there next time.
I have been a choice privilege member since 1982. Because of the horrible experiences I had in the last few months in the following hotels Iβm not staying anymore . The hotels are as follows Quality Inn in AnnArbor, Michigan ,Comfortβ Inn in Bismarck,North Dakota ,and now this the. Quality Inn in Fremont, Ohio .You folks are destroying your brand name .
After hearing this hotel opened a year ago, there have been no upgrades visable to me to the hotel. The cleaning/ maintenance staff cant be doing their job with spider webs and mold on the windows and peeling wall paper. Needs a good cleaning inside and out. The front desk staff were very accommodating and helpful. Breakfast was acceptable.
My stay was very pleasant. The staff members were very friendly and willing to help however they could. The room was spotless, bed was comfortable and towels were very nice and soft compared to many of the hotels Ive stayed at. There was plenty of dining to choose from less than two miles up the road as well. I would definitely stay here again!
Check-in went well. Went to get settled and we noticed that the bedding for one of our rooms had lots of hair and sticks in the sheets. It looked like the maid pulled the bedding back up and never bothered to change the sheets. We were given a different room but the experience grossed us out and made us wonder if other rooms were really cleaned or not.
Food left in freezer, rips in carpet, bathroom sink didnt drain, pubic hairs all over bathroom corners, carpet sticky, therefore it was the worst hotel my family and I have stayed at in 10+ years. Room smelled, hallway smelled, entry doors did not lock with key even though key pad was there, only one ice maker actually worked, I could go on and on....oh did I say it was $116 per night for this experience?
Overall, the hotel and amenities offered met my expectations. It was in a convenient and safe location right off the express way. The one downside though was that the eggs served for the breakfast were barely edible. My family and I decided just to get some coffee and grab breakfast somewhere else.
Rooms are just right- everything you might need is right there. Staff is very attentive from the person who took our reservation to those who staffed the breakfast crew. A good value for a family on a trip as well. The rooms are quiet, the WiFi works well....lots of cable TV channels if youre into TV. Overall it was a good stay! The hotel is very clean and recently updated.
Overall I am satisfied with my stays at the Fremont Quality Inn. The main negative is that the facility is in need of repair and renovation. The front desk staff have always been helpful and friendly. The rooms, hallways, lobby are clean but like a well used car there are dings and scratches (carpeting needs replacing, hallway walls can use spackle and paint, etc). I see that some work is being carried out and that is good. I usually only stay one night at a time as it is in a convenient location - about half-way between my start and destination. So I am looking for a clean, quiet room at a good price and conveniently located restaurants for dinner.
Get to the hotel and got checked in. We traveled with our dog and after we Checked in they told us we couldnt have her in the room. We were told to leave her in the car. Unacceptable!!! After demanding a refund they decided we could stay. When we made our reservations the hotel was supposed to have a pool. It does not, I see that has been removed from the website. We asked about things to do since it was raining and the staff said there wasnt really anything around the hotel. We did some research and found some things to do. Amazingly enough, the front desk had all kinds of coupons!! The wifi doesnt work in certain parts of the hotel. TV didnt work when we checked in. The restaurant had good food!!!! If you go out to the picnic area you cant get back in the door you come out of. Have to walk all the way around to get back in. We wont stay here again!!!
We stopped here on our way through to Pennsylvania, at about 11:30 at night. The room smelled of mildew really bad, and the bed was stiff. But the sheets were clean, and it wasnt bad for a quick stay. I feel like the price was a little bit high, for the quality of the place. We didnt eat the breakfast so I cant comment on that.
While traveling to Chicago, we booked a room in Fremont for the night of June 23rd. We arrived at the hotel late that night. We checked into the room and wanted to go straight to bed and relax after a long drive. Our daughter climbed into her bed. After my husband and I changed our clothes, I pulled the covers down on the second bed. First thing I noticed was several black hairs on the sheets. It was obvious the sheets had not be changed from the previous guests. I called the front desk and the employee immediately came to our room. He apologized and brought a key to a different room a few doors down. Needless to say, it was not a restful sleep wondering if the sheets in our second room were clean. As we checked out, I was told there was nothing they could do because I booked the room online and paid in advance. I was given the number for the district manager. After speaking with her, she told me it has happened before and they do checks on their housekeepers periodically. If I hadnt already paid for the room I would have not stayed. I would not recommend this hotel!
Thank you for your clean and accommodating Quatily Inn! My wife and I enjoyed our stay. We were several hours into travelling from Canada and it was important for us to get a restful nights sleep. We are happy to say that the beds were so inviting - we didnt want to leave so soon!!! We enjoyed your lobby area, nice and bright. Your staff was friendly and courteous. The breakfast was delicious. Thank you again, Quality Inn!Blessings,Missionaries Peter and Prema Two Satisfied Guests
The hotel was okay overall. They had a computer in the lobby for guest use. They have a restaurant and bar at the hotel that was small but looked very nice. I did not buy anything from the restaurant. The breakfast in the morning started at 6:30 and I wanted to leave by 6:15, so the staff made an extra effort to get the eggs out a little early that day along with the rest of the items on the breakfast menu. Not a bad experience overall but it does cost a little more than some cheaper hotels around.
We chose this hotel for its close proximity to Lake Erie. The website stated that there was an outdoor pool at the hotel, but there was no pool at all. We were all disappointed to find that out after checking in. The hotel itself was clean but had carpet stains and is showing signs of needing an update. For one night it was fine, but I would not have stayed for multiple nights.
It was a good hotel and overall we were happy with our stay. We had to stay two nights so thankfully we liked the hotel! The bed and pillows were comfy and the cleanliness of the room was good. The bathroom toilet gave off a funky smell though and the shower couldve been updated. It just looked dirty even though it wasnt. The TV in the room couldve also been bigger. I think it was also going out. The volume kept going out and you could barely see the screen sometimes because it lacked brightness. The breakfast wasnt the greatest. Maybe serve healthier options especially when theres a sign for the healthy section. Bananas, yogurt, oranges, orange juice? But it wasnt the worst! From the outside of the hotel we were a little skeptical...there wasnt like a nice sign or a main sign that said entrance? Looked a little shady at first. The pool also wasnt open. It wasnt even filled. We werent too worried about that though but it wouldve been nice to go for a swim. I have to say that the staff kept up with the may flies. It was gross when we walked in, but expected it because it was the season, but by next morning they were cleared up and the entrance was cleaned. Would stay again :)
The carpet had lots of stains in the room and the hallwaysThe refrigerator door and tv were grimy/ not clean. There was a musty smell/ like there was moisture in the air etc. The toilet paper was close to out so we had to ask for more. Compared to other Quality Inns Ive stayed at, this one did not meet my expectation.
My room at the first floor was muggy all the time. The carpet was damped with the moisture due to excessive rain. I suppose the hotel building is built on a slab and ground water is seeping up due to excessive rain.My room was not cleaned and made one of the four days of my stay. When I brought it the front desk attention, she gave me few extra towels but could help any help any more. I am sure how many time the sheet was really changed during my stay.Right on the first day of my arrival, I found the treadmill in the exercise room folded down. I asked the front desk lady to make it right for me to use. But it took almost 3 days for someone to make it upright. However, when I went to use it. It did not work at al. The front desk assistant also could not make it work. According to him, the cable for the treadmill is shot and may need change.
I love it here and we always stay here when we are in town. you will sleep good because the beds and pillows are like no other. Its in a great location next to the turn pike and by all the stores, but now they have the best restraunt in town named Byrons BBQ inside the hotel. They have the best wings and fries and BBQ I have had in ages. so you must go eat there when you get in town. This sets this hotel aside from all the rest and makes it number one.
At first, I was disappointed that there was no pool however, the hotel made up for that with its amazing restaurant and bar. We had a blast! The rooms were nice and the staff was amazing to us. Will be back. You want some amazing bbq??? Check it out. The catfish was fresh and delicious.
This place is fine to get off the turnpike and spend the night. The decor is a bit dated for those who care, I dont. The room was clean. Plenty of hot water, good water pressure. A truck stop next door with a good assortment of goods. For breakfast they have Carbons waffle batter ( the absolute best ) and 2 waffle irons. Cereal, eggs sausage, yogurt, muffins, milk, juice, etc. A pretty good spread for a continental breakfast. The problem with this location is, Fremont has only 1 thing to do. The Rutherford Hayes house and museum, which I highly recommend.
I recently gave My mother a 90th Birthday Celebraton at this location on Saturday May 26th. We blocked approximately 20 rooms and were given a great rate.. I want to thank the Manager Jamie Liggins for exceptional customer service. With it being a holdiay weekend in addition to Bike week Jamie provided exceptional service;, was very attentive and willing to ensure all our guests were taken care of to the best of her ability. As with anything the busy weerkend and having a large party there were a few issues, however this dedicated Manager came back to the hotel at midnight on Friday and came back on her days off to resolve issues as they would arise. She personally cleaned a couple rooms for my family........ to ensure things were done correctly.Yes, this may be an older facility but I can say it was clean and well maintained. I personally inspected the rooms and all of our out of state family and friends were comfortable and pleased with their accomodations.........The Banquet Room we used clean and spacious. All of our guests enjoyed this event, My Mother had one of the best birthday celebrations of her 90 years. It was a great time had by all and we are grateful to Jamie and her staff.Cyndi J.
Check in hotel was very disappointed. Killed 3 roaches in the hallway, room smells, mosquitos & carpet needs to be clean. The young lady at the desk Liz seems to have a little medical issue & not willing to help resolve the problems. Didnt want to upset her because it makes her nervous. I feel the hotel could be better if they would get schedule someone to spray for bugs & clean carpet.
Since we werent sure of where we would end our first travel day, we had no reservations. This Quality Inn provided a nice experience of comfort at the end of a long day. It was also nice to have a breakfast right there in the morning that included more than simply pastries and coffee. It was a good value for the price.
Pretty much I would NOT classify this as a 3 star hotel. Service was sub par and the facilities have something to be desired. Check in person was courteous, but apparently his supervisor was a bit put off, as when I went to check in, she was a little rude and wasnt going to allow me to get my room, even though it was ready. I was early and she was going to make me wait until 3 p.m., regardless. Restaurant/bar was not open at all. I could not tell who were staff members and who were guests. Staff for front desk were dressed in ripped jeans and novelty shirts. Only ones in any find of uniform or name tags to identify them was housekeeping. Room was clean and neat, so somebody was on the ball.
I havent stayed here just yet but wanted to give a big shout out to Jared at the Fremont OH location for his quality customer service while booking my reservation. He provided upfront information that solidified my decision to book at this hotel. He was very knowledgeable about the local area which was very helpful for me to make final planning decisions for our trip. Great job Jared!
Nice hotel that is right off the turnpike. Plenty of parking for trucks and cars everywhere. Hotel bedding was nice and comfortable. The Breakfast choices were something that could be improved on. No orange juice to drink for breakfast was dissapointing. Other than that, hotel is ok to stay in.
The room was great. The bed was very comfortable. The TV selection was very good. Check in was easy. The Quality Inn was a little pricey. But it was worth it. The breakfast was a little weak. But all in all I would recommend this hotel, especially for visiting the Freemont Speedway.
I booked online for a two night stay and prepaid. I checked in on Friday night 6/9. In Saturday morning 6/10 I had an invoice under my door indicating that I was checking out that day and had a refund going back on my credit card equal to one nights stay. I called the front desk and explained to them I wasnt checking out until Sunday. Looking into it more it was discovered that two rooms were booked in my name for one night each instead of two rooms for one night. I was charged on my credit card 107 for the second room as well as a $121 no show fee for a total of $230. Why wasnt this caught at check in? I know when I booked the room online that the dates were correct for one room two nights. I double checked it and had my boyfriend check it as well. I went to the front desk after a manager could take a look at it. When I approached the front desk I overheard the two women discussing my issue basically stating it was my fault and so they cant do anything and basically talking bad about me. The manager that waited on me kept saying there is a no cancellation in the booking. Why the heck would one person book two rooms?!? I only can sleep in one bed? She wound up calling a corporate number and they walked her through how to correct it. I was told I would get the refund of $230 back one my card. It has been over a week and I still dont have the refund. Also manager told me that the same thing happened to someone else the same day. May want to check how your website is set up and booking these rooms. I will never be staying at this hotel again. Very poor customer service.
I was working in the area and was unfortunately injured. I had to extend my stay at this property. The people here went so above and beyond to assist me with anything I needed and showed and abundance of care and concern. I would like to acknowledge Liz and Jamie for their overwhelming concern and interest in my well being. They ensured I was comfortable and were willing to arrange anything I needed; especially since I was unable to move due to a back injury. During my stay I had to be transported to a local emergency room and Harry and John went above and beyond to give me a ride back to the hotel afterward, as well as, assist with moving my luggage and travel items for me. I can truly say that I have never seen such kindness, compassion, and service anywhere. Thank you all so much. If you can do anything special for Liz, Jamie, Harry, and John I think it is well deserved.
We had problems with our pick truck when we got to the hotel look last night. Truck is being serviced right now. Hopefully we can be back on the road soon. The staff at the hotel let us stay a little longer in the room after check out time. This was greatly appreciated. Service and the staff were great. Thank you so much.
Our room was clean and comfortable. The inn is very close to the turnpike exit but, noise was not an issue. The staff was friendly and competent. The only negative was the breakfast buffet. We were in Fremont for a celebration of the 100 year anniversary of the Hayes Presidential Library & Museum. One woman was assigned to the buffet and she was overwhelmed. The buffet was poor primarily because the poor woman couldnt keep up. The pool was closed.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and recently updated. The breakfast was adequate relying heavily on carbs though bananas and yogurt were available. The workout room was disappointing because all the machines except the treadmill were tired and did not operate smoothly. This is a large facility and when I was there it was definately underutilized.
My family had to listen to multiple barking dogs that were in the room directly below us. This lasted continuously until about 11:00 that night resulting in my four children, spouse, and me being unable to get to sleep early as planned for a good nights rest. There were also hairs found in the bathtub along with used dried wash clothes hanging over the shower rod that had not been removed from prior guests.
Again the Mattress was extremely comfortable. I slept well despite having to get up with the sun.Was surprised and enjoyed the fluffy scrambled eggs at breakfast...most choice hotels that Ive stayed at recently usually provide a rounded patty of scrambled eggs (usually overcooked). The sausage patties could have been cooked more and I found them a little spicy.
Front desk personnel was unprofessional and rude. I had to go to Walmart and buy cleaning supplies because our room was dirty. Bathroom floor needed swept and mopped. The toilet did not work. The tv was terrible. The picture was too dark and the size of the tv was a joke.
I came from Mississippi to Ohio for a friends wedding. After driving 14 to 15 hours tired and sleepy when we got to the hotel it was 1hr before checking in and they gave us a room that just became vancant to accomendate us and forthat we were greatful. The staff was very professional and housekeeping was outstanding and very professional. The housekeeping crew were awesome. I wolud recommend this hotel to others. Keep up the good work...
This was the worst hotel ever. The room we checked into was wet from humidity. The front desk gave us another room - which was the same. After driving 11 hours and being midnight we tried to sleep - a whole 2 hours. At 6am we gave up. The young lady at the front desk was so upset she called two neighboring hotels - all with the same owner. She got us a room and we left. Hard to believe we were still charged....not her fault. But I will follow up on that.Dont stay here.
The hotel service was excellent and very accommodating; the breakfast was tasty, and there was plenty of food served; the room had everything one needed for comfort and convenience, however, the bathroom floor was dirty and the coffee pot dusty. That was disappointing.
Hotel is what youd expect and there are no complaints. We were going to Cedar Point but wanted to save money, so we stayed outside of Sandusky at this hotel. Its about an hour (or less) drive to Cedar Point and is close to major highways. Room is fine, beds were fine, everything was normal. Breakfast is provided and they have eggs, bacon, waffles, and then the normal cereal and baked goods. Customer service was good.
Rooms were disgusting. There were crickets and spiders in our room. The ceilings had an outline of black mold and it smelled like mildew. The shower would not drain properly and when it did, Black gunk would come back up and stick in the tub. Probably will not be staying here again.
Traveling east for a family emergency is difficult. Having to find a hotel when you are tired and need some sleep is also difficult. We stopped at another hotel, but the person at the desk was rude when telling us they had no room. She then told us to go to another hotel which had not yet opened. When we finally found the Quality Inn and the person at the desk told us Of course we have a room we were so relieved. Then the person help[ed us find a place to eat and asked if there was anything else she could do to help. This person was so nice and helpful that we will, without hesitation, stop there again if we travel that way. Not only was the place clean and comfortable, but the staff was delightful. Thank YOu.
The room for what we paid wasnt all that great. It seems they didnt clean it cause there was a used razor on the tub plus one of their shampoo bottles by it. Plus one of queen beds looked like it had been laid in. Went to take a shower and the hot water was cold. Just not happy with the price we paid even with military discount.
Do not stay here. Room 247 like I said before is the one with a broke toilet. They did not try to fix it. They never cleaned the room Saturday. They accused us of having a door tag to not clean the room. The water pressure is horrible in 247. We changed to 231, it had a bad air conditioner, hot stale air.
Hotel was clean but the front desk lacked communication. We left something in the fridge and called as soon as we left. The guy at the front desk said he would save it for us took my name and phone number. Said we could pick it up on our way back through. Showed up today, the lady at the front desk was extremely rude and said they did not save our items. We asked for stamps and she continued to be rude.
Nice hotel. Very comfortable beds. Towels pretty good. Great hot/cold breakfast. Microwave/fridge Waffles, pancakes, yogurt, cereals, etc in a pretty big room. Decorated nicely in lobby and rooms. Outside pool but we never used. Close to restaurants. And a grocery store.
Okay so I stayed here on wim . I was driving and got very sleepy. Well all the other hotels in the area i.e : Hampton, Holiday Inn express just to name a few were all full. Probably should have taken that as a sign to keep driving, Never the less we stop. First the hotel is old and needs some MAJOR upgrades. the lobby looks ancient. the rooms had spiders, the halls look haunted, and bathroom or disgusting. My advice even if its just for one night keep driving. Me and my family were so sleepy bu after the view of this hotel, we all slept in one bed for 3 hours and jetted out of there. The breakfast was just a joke no need for details.
They dont have hot breakfast because the covid 19 but many many other hotels find the way to get hot breakfast for they clients, the hotel is been in remodeling for very long time now, and i didnt see anybody working now and or the last time that we stayed in this hotel.
We stopped for the night on our trip home to Michigan from D.C. and was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the staff. They made us feel right at home. And the food at Byrons BBQ inside Quality Inn was most excellent and great prices.Well definitely be stopping there again!
Dont take room 123 the floor by the window is constantly wet. To ssmall of pillows. Staff was excellent good water pressure breakfast soso sausage and eggs were cold but waffels were good bed was comfortable for a hotel bed nice and quiet which i really liked dont feel i should have had to pay 100 for 1 night and couldnt take my shoes off due to wet carpet.
I was not feeling well and needed to get a meal for my wife. She went to the restaurant and they treated here awesomely. When she told them I was sick in the room and she wanted a meal to go, the chef came out to meet here and they prepared an awesome meal to go. Excellent stay!!
Friendly guest service staff. Housekeeping hit or miss at times. Bedrooms to small. Shower water never more than warm even all the way to hot. Room key has to be rekeyed daily. Decor outdated / tired. Over pticed for a small town with no events that would cause rates to be higher.
We were VERY pleased with our stay at Quality Inn. We found them on the internet just an hour before we got there, and the check in process could not have been easier. Room was great for the price, bedding comfortable, and we got a good night sleep before hitting the road again in the morning.
STAY AWAY! absolutely terrible. i am staying at the clarion while working in a neighboring town. i would have been better off at a local dive. at least there id know what i was getting. the carpet was filthy (they tried to blame us), the restaurant is a joke (hyper limited selection), the hallways smell a bit off, an entire section of the hotel is blocked off due to a flood (that happened 4 years ago), the cook is also a cleaning lady, they ran out of toilet paper, had no milk for 3 days straight, didnt have wash cloths (they needed to be cleaned then returned to the room), the comforters had cigarette burns in it (in a none smoking room), every other day the entry key would fail, and the place is a ghost town. the only thing i can say good about it is that im leaving today. i guess the location is good for a working guy. but overall this place is terrible. and the staff feels the same.unless youre tired enough to drift off into oncoming traffic, id go elsewhere. i am starting to think that the reviews above were written by the owner. because they are way off.
The other responses especially the positive ones are lies. No doubt posted from management or higher ups. This place is a dump, run by some who havent washed for a week or so. I had dirty sheets, a comforter with cigarette burns on it. A bath that hadnt been cleaned in a month and a shower drain that took four hours to drain. No doubt the Board of Health needs to pay a visit to this pit. Stay away all of you!!!
Overall hotel is ok. The a/c unit was very loud and old, light switches and plates were dirty which drives me crazy. There was dark hair on the tub and in shower. I was traveling and it was late so I settled here and paid way too much for what it was. Wouldnt stay here again. Staff was friendly.
I went to another choice hotel 48 hours later and was able to use the choice privledges card to reduce the nights fees by approx. $15.00 -- something the quality inn said wasnt possible. Also, on leaving the comfort inn on that 2nd stay -- I was offered a snack bag with drinks & fruit -- I was offered absolutely nothing at the quality inn, or rather the low quality inn. This quality inn in fremont ohio is an embarrassment to your company and should be very carefully looked at for changes to be made in the future. I dont wish my experiences on any of your clients.
Having been a Choice Privileges member for several years, my wife and I were disappointed with our stay at this property. Hot water was not available in the room to which we were assigned. Neither of us were advised of an available breakfast at the property site, accordingly we enjoyed our breakfast else where unaware of the available breakfast.
This is an older hotel, but it is in the process of being remodeled & brought up to better standards. It was clean, & the staff was friendly & helpful. It has a court yard that is being landscaped, & looks to be secured from the outside public for the guests safety. This was a pluss for me.
We were not sure where we were traveling to after our New England Trip. We came through Ohio just to escape the East Coast rains from Hurricane Joaquin. A little detour in our planned trip. We saw a listing of hotels at the Rest Area along the Ohio Toll Rd and called Quality Inn in Fremont. Again, very, very nice hotel.
Needs professional people on the desk! Not just 1 woman and she didnt know what she was doing! Then after one half hour another girl came in acting like nothing was wrong and took care of us! I dont care if it is Fremont , Ohio the staff has to treat there guests with respect and efficiently!
The room was so dirty looking and the bathroom was not well cleaned. We arrived late with an infant after being on the road all day and just used the room because the baby had to go to sleep. The air-conditioning unit was so loud the baby kept waking up. Luckily we left first thing in the morning and never have to stay there again
The room smelled horribly from burned wiring in the a/c unit and the person on duty said, oh it does that. let me come and look at it.when the staff person came to look she said, that is bad. Then, when i pulled the curtain back when she was looking at the a/c unit we saw a used tampon on the floor. But, they did not give us any credit or offer to make it right. very grossed out and our kids dont even want to sleep here. Other issues as well.

2022-01-05My husband and I stayed here on a cross country trip after we had a good experience at a Quality Inn in Montana. This was very different. The front desk staff was very nice and efficient, no complaints there. The actual furnishings in the room we nice and the bed was pretty comfy. The location if you are traveling along 90 is super convenient.I am pretty relaxed when it comes to hotels that are clearly meant for travelers and are really just a bed to sleep in, but after 6 nights in 2 star hotels, this one stood out as not great. First thing was the smell in the hall, a little bit like a clean port-o-potty, that blue liquid smell with a little bit of sewage. The hallway were dim, paint peeling off door jams, just an all around erie vibe. The room was okay, the wall paper was bubbling and peeling in many places, the chair and carpet had some stains, but no big deal, everything else was fine. The bathroom had an overwhelming mildew smell, although there was no visible mold at least. The breakfast was the saddest we have experienced yet, more on par with a motel 6. I dont expect much, just a hard boiled egg or some yogurt would have been nice, but it was just cereal, bagel and danishes. There were ham and cheese hot pockets. The coffee was so weak, but to be honest thats not much different than every hotel we have stayed at. The music was also weirdly loud over the speakers (breakfast was in the lobby right in front of the front desk), although Im sure if I had asked the very nice desk attendant to turn it down she would have obliged.Im not sure what the renovations are fixing our updating, but this place needs a lot of work. Best luck to them in the future!

2022-03-22NO! Save your money and just dont. Nothing about any of these pictures resemble what this place actually looks like. Hot breakfast? Please bagels in a toaster and jimmy dean sandwich in a microwave is opposite of what the free hot breakfast shown in photo. My room- actual cob webs going down the wall from the corners of the room. Dirt was just swept under the bathroom vanity. Toilet paPer- maybe 12inches will work for some.

2022-06-24Under renovation lots of construction bugs ants π mosquitoes π¦ one thing that really bother me was they have a continental breakfast but they have no bathrooms in that area you must go to your room for the bathroom. I find that really inconvenient. I should have taken pictures but really never thought of it.

2022-04-18The staff and location were great. Room was very clean, but smelled a little of cigarette smoke. They were in the process of remodeling.

2022-03-17Comfortable room and the wifi worked fine. The biggest complaint I had was that when I went to take a shower, there was no hot water. Rough way to start the day....

2021-09-28The hotel lobby area was beautiful, the staff was friendly, but the rooms needed attention. Our shower looked a bit dirty, the tub drain was slow, the TV worked intermittently, and the furniture and carpet had several very noticeable stains. We stayed for 3 nights, and our rooms were not cleaned, nor the garbage or used towels removed during our entire stay. But the bed was about the most comfortable bed Ive ever slept in!

2022-02-27My family and I compromised with not having a pool or a bar bc we wanted one that had both but couldnβt find one in the area so we chose one that would have hot breakfast, and when we woke up and all got down to the front there was no hot breakfast. Just hotpockets to put in the microwave & a variety of muffins. Very disappointed!

2021-08-14The hotel was acceptable but with some problems.I happen to be a mold inspector. Much of the first floor (and our room) smells a bit musty, making me wonder if there has been a flood. Shower water pressure and heat were good enough. Bed decently comfortable. Our issue was customer service at check-in. We had booked two non-smoking rooms through booking.com. Upon arrival, the young desk attendant, clad in a t-shirt, told us that we were getting two smoking rooms. When we showed our receipt for two non-smoking rooms, he said that this happens a lot and there was nothing he could do for us. He suggested we book two additional rooms through him and try to get our booking.com money back later! Nope.I asked if the hotel was fully booked and he said that it was not. I asked to be moved to any available non-smoking rooms, as we had ordered, and he said he couldnt. I then asked for a manager and he said there was none on-site (during prime check-in time on a Friday). I asked him to call the manager, which he finally did. The manager immediately moved us into two other rooms (on different floors). It sounds as if theres an issue between booking.com and the hotel; they should clear that up--not try to screw the patrons as they attempt to check in.

2022-05-18Positive: Nothing Negative: They gave the room I paid for to someone else, and gave me something different.
