I really enjoyed staying at quality inn the owners very nice and helpful everybodys always happy and cheerful the only thing were missing is a swimming pool and a Jacuzzi this was the first time I ever stayed in a hotel and had so much interactions with the owners they actually give you the time of day their employees are very professional they always want to help always they dont treat you like your their money maker they actually talk to you I was impressed
Clean hotel, very friendly staff! Hotel overall is in great shape, easy access to fairgrounds with or without highway usage. Had zero issues with having my large dogs with me. Parking lot was well lit & clean, manager took care of one issue outside asap brought to his attention. Felt very safe alone indoors and out!!Couldn’t ask for more from a hotel except more restaurants in the area.
The people who work here are Very nice the hotel isnt we had a king bed in a romm that should have had a double bed in it and it wasnt clean things are wore out and old as i said the people are very nice they were more than happy to switch our room but it was like the first.Hate i had to rate this way with the people being so nice.
Top notch hotel with top notch staff. I guarantee if you stay with them you wont be disappointed. Clean rooms and beds. Bathrooms are great with excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water. Ive stayed with these lovely people countless times and will keep coming back. Anup is very customer oriented. He will go out of his way to make sure you are satisfied with your stay. Shows that he truly cares about the quality of your stay. The maids are very polite and do very well at their jobs. Always a clean room everyday. They never take shortcuts. Sarah the front desk lady is an excellent employee and deserves a raise if you ask me. Does check-ins and outs, does laundry, clean rooms, takes garbage out. Lady does It all. Ive stayed in hotels all over this beautiful country and this hotel beats them all hands down.
We came to the area every yr for family reunion and these was our 1st time stay at Quality inn and suites, North lima. Newly renovated facility. Nice comfortable beds and clean bathroom. Customer service was top notch. They gave us joining rooms its nice little touch. We appreciate that. Will consider staying this hotel next time.
Our stay at the North Lima Quality Inn and Suites was excellent. We arrived in the late evening. The desk receptionist was professional and quick to check us in and get us to our rooms. We were pleasantly surprised by the very clean room, crisp bedding and immaculate bath. I highly recommend this Quality Inn.
The staff was great, very friendly and helpful. Ive stayed in other Quality Inns and choice hotels in the past. I expected better from the room, a king sized bed with barley enough room to slide past. The flag out front was torn, and in horrible shape. As a Veteran, it was very disrespectful and sad to see.
Side door remained open without key access, didnt feel safe. Front desk attendant upon check in was nice and helpful. When I called the front desk at 2 AM to complain about the guests in the room next to me blasting loud music, the front desk attendant was a different person who was rude and unhelpful.
Positive: I like that this hotel was nice and quiet, and also very clean. The room was perfect and the bathroom had enough space for the two of us . Negative: The only thing I didn¿t like about the hotel experience was that there were two clickers for the tv, and it took little time trying to figure out. Also there was no other activities at the hotel itself such as a hotel ect
Positive: The desk clerk was extremely rude, the manager was extremely unprofessional and treated us horribly. My friend is a disabled veteran and had her service dog with us. They charged us full price for him! We ended not even staying there after all! Negative: They were extremely disrespectful towards one of our US disabled veterans and her service dog!!! Will never recommend this hotel EVER TO ANYONE! Super disrespectful!!!
Very nice and quiet place to stay. Was only there one night as a getaway for my birthday and it was very enjoyable. The front desk staff was nice and friendly. They made sure we were accommodated. They were remodeling inside while we were there right down from our room, but I never heard anything from the room and they were very nice about it to the guests. The room was clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable for both sleeping and lounging watching tv. I will definitely stay again the next time I need a night away. Having a mini fridge and microwave in the room was great for storing and reheating leftovers from a local restaurant. The coffee in the morning was good quality too which was a very nice addition.
The staff were all friendly… Even the owner himself assisted us. He spoke so highly of his staff. The entire hotel was very clean. We will definitely be staying there again and recommending it to our friends. It was very close to shopping and restaurants and had great Internet service
This place was great! The bed was very comfy, thick sheets. Room was super clean, no odors. Not a lot of noise all night long. They are very modern and up to date. You even get a tutorial on how to work the shower upon check in. They serve a full hot breakfast that consisted of sausage, eggs, fruit, juice, coffee, etc. The service at check in was awesome. She was very good at her job, and the experience was like no other place Ive been. I was very pleased with this stay and Im sure Ill go back just for me time. I stayed in room 304. The rooms look exactly like the pictures on the website. Oooh and the first thing that i noticed was different and gave me enjoyment was the window seat! I loved being able to sit in the window and relax.
Owner was very pleasant and the staff was very helpful. Had problem with lock on door, went to front desk, and staff was helpful and immediately found another room and let us check it out before hand. Bed were super comfortable although pillows were small, but still comfortable. Definately stay there again
Because of SNAFU found myself unexpectedly stuck near Youngstown for a night. Went online Choice.com and checked around. The North Lima Quality Inn was well priced, well rated and my favorite low priced brand (just a clean bed please) in the system, conveniently located by the Turnpike. I was extremely pleasantly surprised to find a new, three story building with internal hallway access and clean rooms. Hats off to manager Anuo Patel, but even more cheers if he will give recognition to Shah, the pleasant and knowledgeable gentleman who checked me in, gave me the lowdown on the joint (internet, gym, and breakfast), and got me settled. I always commend such staff because no matter how nice and clean the facilities a welcoming smile and assistance goes a long way. A real asset, let him know.
I spent five days here the service was excellent! The manager Angela was the best thing that could have ever done for this place! Also the owner I have a lot of respect for. They leave the apple juice and orange juice machine on during the day! That is very different and I loved it! They have designated smoking areas so theres no one out front smoking and littering. The area was pretty bad there are a lot of run-down hotels right next door and all up and down the street! This is like a Hidden Gem. They have a laundry room it was pretty clean also you can use cards or change here. I really think that breakfast was pretty awesome although it ran low sometimes. My boyfriend always loves the waffles and the sausage and eggs are always pretty fresh. They do not have a pool. The room we stayed in was a king suite there was a microwave when the desk where I needed to do work so I had to move it to the stand with the television. It wasnt set up very conventionally. The room wasnt exactly perfectly clean when we started out. We let the owner know and he was all over it. Also we let the manager know and she got to the bottom of who claimed the room as well. I was very pleased with how prom they addressed and fixed the problem. By the end of my stay I felt I had made a few new friends! If Im ever in the area again I would definitely stop in here. Its a very friendly atmosphere and if you have a problem they are never rude and they always fix it!
Nothing fancy but very nice,, The desk clerk set the tone. He was very courteous and helpful. He had great selections for dinner. He really seemed to care that you had a good stay,We were a little shocked to see the small room but the bed was very comfortable, wifi worked great. Cable TV took eight minutes to book up.Breakfast was adequate, We got down late but staff made sure that items were refilled and helped us make waffles,
Front desk attendant didnt wear a mask at all. When we checked in, he sat behind a pathetically small piece of plexiglass in front of a small portion of the front desk. When we checked out in the morning, he was roaming about the main floor not wearing a mask. Despicable.Rooms very clean and the maid was wearing a mask. Kudos to the cleaning staff. They should run the place.Im very sad that the front desk doesnt take the health of their guests and staff seriously.
I’ve considered this hotel to be my main stay when I travel from Michigan to my home in Maryland. The hotel is very clean, the beds are soft and the breakfast is a great way to get the day started. I would not give this hotel and the staff any less than a 5 star rating. It’s truly a pleasure seeing Angela and her Manager Tony. They always greet their guests warmly and their aim is top quality customer service and believe me...they deliver!!! I have been an ongoing client for nearly 2 years and visit their hotel every 6 months or so and I’ve never found anything less than a comfortable bed in a very clean hotel with great folks waiting to welcome you.
This hotel is close to the turnpike and restaurants. For an overnight stay while traveling, this is a good choice and decent value. The bed was comfortable, the people friendly, and the room was clean. The place is in need of some repairs and cleaning (cracked/ chipped walls, tile on stairs coming off), but for a quick stay, it was fine. This is also a pet friendly hotel so while on route with pets, this is a good place to stay and does have some nice areas for dogs to potty. The breakfast is very basic and would not be a reason to stay here vs somewhere else.
I was hoping for great things after this property got renovated and had a brand name change. Breakfast area was nicely updated. Breakfast was basic but included hot eggs, sausage, and self made waffles. Room 233 updates included carpet and curtains. Bed was great. The bathroom tile installer was an amateur and the painting was not good. The handicap (I’m not) room allowed access to the sink but there was zero counter space for toiletries. We took the desk chair into the bathroom for some counter space. This room was a bit noisy from road noise – another would likely be much better. This location apparently attempts to save money by sending maid service in once every 3 days. I had missed the small sign at check-in and was surprised by the lack of fresh towels on our return at the end of the day. We checked out a day early and our reservations allowed changes. The front desk offered to adjust the folio but needed another staff person to approve. It took phone calls over two days to complete the account and get a receipt via Email.
Sara and Anup were professional, knowledgeable and helpful. The rooms were great, the beds were fantastic and the hotel is equipped with DirecTV! Also, we left a Casper pillow and Anup went out of his way to mail the pillow back to us which was thoughtful and greatly appreciated! Thznk you Anup! Look forward to our stat next year!
Very friendly and clean. The fact that I paid the same as any other room, I got a very small queen size they they had to disclaim on check in was an issue, would have been a problem if I had not been alone and just overnight on my drive home. No breakfast either. Just seemed like $92 was a bit steep for what I got in an empty hotel.
The night clerk before Kevin was super sweet helping us when we got in later in the evening. She gave us some wonderful suggestions to get breakfast. And Kevin was super sweet when we were checking out this morning. Everyone was very friendly and the rooms were very clean
The hotel is up to date with clean comfortable rooms. The tv stations are many, not like other hotels where there are only a few choices. I frequently stay here because it is pet friendly and bring my small dogs for agility shows. I am greeted by the hotel manager Angela each time and she knows my dogs by name. If you want a good hotel that is clean with friendly staff this is the place to stay.
Staff is awesome always willing to help. From management to staff they made me feel welcomed. I am grateful for the kindness they show me when I arrive. The Morning manager ( Sorry I forget his name ) and Angela are very helpful and great members to this brand. Even Breakfast attendant was polite and sweet. We simply love this place now. Nice renovated rooms with nice looking breakfast area. Very close to Boardman / Canfield and Youngstown area so as i76. We will not hesitate to stay again.
My daughter was laying in her bed playing on her phone and yelled that there was a bug. It was a bed bug! I scooped it up and took it to the front desk. The employee who swears he isn’t Anup Patel the GM I’m pretty sure he was says yeah that’s a bed bug! He then attempts to give me a room 2 doors down! No way! If there are visible bugs with the lights on imagine when all the lights are out! We packed up and left. We stayed her about 3 weeks ago and the smoke detector kept beeping needing a new battery. Instead of replacing the battery the employee ripped the entire alarm out of the ceiling and asked if I minded not having a smoke detector! Choice needs to revoke their brand for this hotel!
We were in the area visiting family for a few days and stayed here 4 nights. This hotel has been recently refurbished inside and is very nice. We booked a room with two queen beds which was adequate, but not large. The room was equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and all the normal equipment. The room was clean and comfortable. The beds were comfortable (new mattresses within the last year). The HVAC unit worked well and was very quiet. The only negative about the facility was the bathroom exhaust fan which was unusable due to making very loud, screeching and grinding noises. We reported it to the owner who came to the room and tried spraying it. The spray quieted it down temporarily, but by that evening it was just as bad as before he sprayed it. When we checked out he said he was going to replace it.The staff are all friendly and helpful. The breakfast wasnt great, may have been better earlier, but by 8:00 the sausage and eggs were overcooked and hard. Still there were other options, fresh fruit, yogurt, pastries, cereal, etc.We will likely stay here again in the future as this is definitely the best hotel for the price in North Lima.
I got a great deal with Choice Rewards, and the hotel is the same one I stayed at a year ago at this time. I wish I knew the room was a bit on the smaller side since even with a King bed, was kind of cramped. Glad I didnt have a buddy come with me...wed have no room. However, despite that, the bed was comfortable, I stayed warm all night long, and breakfast was certainly satisfying for all I was doing the following day.
The staff was welcoming. The hotel had a smell to it on the second floor off the elevator. They did not so a good job house keeping because there was a wet washcloth hanging out on top of the shower curtain that was from the previous guests in the room. The door was not aligned properly on the hinges so I could see in the hallway in the lower right hand corner. I have stayed at other quality inn hotels and have not had this experience. The plus side was it was 4 minutes to the wedding we were there for.
I use choice hotels exclusively for work. This one was average. Its better than surrounding hotels by far and I think they coast knowing that. This hotel doesnt have the fit and finish of other choice hotels I have stayed at. Nothing detrimental to health or safety, but small touches go a long way. I usually stay at hotels out of the way and have seen better quality in no name towns. The rooms are fine but you will find small things that add to frustration over a few days which you dont want while traveling. Staff was friendly and courteous throughout though.
Hotel was clean, quiet and staff very friendly and wanting to make sure we had what we needed. The rooms on the second and third floors are newly remodeled so that is where they put their guests until the first floor is finished. There is an elevator to make it easy to get to those floors. Rooms with one queen bed are a little cozy but very nice with a microwave and fridge. Hotel is easy to get to just off the turnpike. Good breakfast and plenty of space. Nice hotel for a great value! Will definitely stay here again when in the area.
This hotel is easy on/off of the OH turnpike - about .5 miles from entrance. Staff members are very welcoming and accommodating. We initially had reserved a king room, but discovered there is very little floor space for our dogs crate. Angela, at the front desk, was able to change our room to 2 queens which has more floor space. The room was very recently renovated and did not yet have a fridge or microwave (which we had agreed to), but if that is important to you, ask. The mattress quality was good...not too soft, not too hard, but the sheets felt like sandpaper - very course sandpaper, which made for an uncomfortable nights sleep. The room needed a good vacuuming...what seemed to be debris from the room reno scattered on the carpet. The first floor is noisy, meaning you hear the footsteps of the room above quite clearly. There is an elevator, so request the third floor. Also, rooms near the lobby are noisy. Overall, an OK stay and we would return if passing through area again...mostly because the staff make your stay pleasant.
Used to stay here ALL the time. Made reservations and because we were stuck in traffic and arrived at 2 am they sold our room to someone and left us with NOTHING. No one called or ANYTHING. New guy working tonight than we areb7sedbtoo. PLUS WE WAITED 20MINS FOR HIM TO COME TO THE DESK! 2 women and an 8yr old child going to sleep in the car tonight!?? UNACCEPTABLE
The mattress had stains and bodily hair on it. The bench by the window had stains. The jacuzzi panels were falling off. The jacuzzi jets had mildew in them. In the window wouldnt lock and this was a ground level room. The pillows were throw pillows, not King size. The bathroom heater was incomplete with an exposed socket. When we brought up these issues to the front desk he was rude, didnt apologise or offer us another room.
We have stayed here during Shaker wood event. This is one of the best Quality Inn and Suites we have stayed since long time. Newly renovated hotel with confortable mattress. Nice hot water in shower. Morning breakfast was nice and fresh, saved 15 bucks eating in any restaurants. Last but not least they have such a wonderful staff. 10/10 for service. I would say this hotel in good hands. We will return next yr at shaker wood event and surely stay at this inn. Thanks for make our stay memorable.
Our room was super clean. Staff were extremely welcoming and helpful in every way. Even the air in hotel smelled wonderful. We really have no complaints. Manager met us at hallway as we were opening our room and heard me exclaim about size of the room. He immediately offered us to move us across the hall to a larger room. You rearly receive this kind of service any hotels. We will stay here again without any doubt.
The room was clean, neat, and stocked with all that I needed. Front desk employee was very friendly, I believe her name was Angela. She had a pinkish/purple color in her hair. Will continue to go to Choice Hotel chains. Second one Ive been at that has been great! Keep up the exemplary work:)
Worst hotel I have ever been...first room we got it strongly smelled like cigarette, stains on the carpet, hair everywhere in the bathroom, it was disgusting. Second room was slightly better but the heater was so loud we had to turn it off because we couldn’t sleep. The bedding smelled damp. We stayed because it was in the middle of the night but we left the next morning as soon as we could without even having breakfast...after a massive complaint the receptionist finally called the manager who offered a full refund.
One of the best hotel we came across. Staff of this hotel is just exceptional. Especially evening girl Angela and morning manager. entirely renovated with all new bedding, new carpet, new furniture and bathroom. simply love it. Hot breakfast made our morning. They earn our business for long period. surely recommend to all our friends and families.
Top notch service from front desk to Owner. Such a sweet people run this Quality inn. We are older couple from MI visiting family in Boardman, OH Picked this hotel due to good rating and reviews but we must say this hotel deserve to be top priority hotel. Super Clean, Well maintain and excellent service. We will surely stay here in future. Please give them try. we were told this is their 1st year with Quality inn.
I would say this is one of the most clean hotel i came across since long time. Front desk person was excellent. seems like he care about this hotel and their guest. very comfortable bed and clean bathroom. Breakfast selection was up to par. We will surely stay here again. Highly recommended.
Room was remodeled and bed was super comfortable. Right off the turnpike. Angela and Anna were valuable. Window seat was neat. Anna quickly refilled and attended to the kitchen area. Room has a microwave and fridge, TV and 2 comfy beds. Our room has some stains/burns on the carpets, looked like it was sloppily cleaned if at all, as there were Bobby pins and misc things on the floor and used sterefoam bowls in the microwave, and a questionable stain on the blanket. The toilet was not properly installed into the ground so it was pretty shaky and loud. The breakfast was your run of the mil continental but had eggs and sausage that both left MUCH MUCH MUCH to be desired. Even though the breakfast bar was replenished the tables were not wiped. It was very loud but thats to be expected.
I was very apprehensive about booking this hotel. Most Quality Inns aren’t known for their ‘quality’ this one totally exceeded my expectations!!!! We stayed the first weekend of June and would go back and stay here in a heartbeat! The hotel is totally renovated and is absolutely spotless and the price was VERY reasonable. The night manager Angela was sweet as pie and so accommodating to all my needs. The morning Manager, Anup was super nice as well. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone!
Everything was lousy. The girl working the front desk was annoyed by our presence. We could hear people on all sides until the middle of the night - above us, below us, and beside us. The walls are so thin (or no insulation) such that we could even hear what was on the neighbors TV. The parking lot lights shined bright into the room as the curtains werent big enough to block all the light. The room was absolutely tiny. The pillows were some odd small size, even though the bed was a King?? We couldnt enter the hotel at the door right by our room (had to go to the front). Even for a cheap price...we would NOT stay again at the ol Quality Inn!
I was extremely pleased with this Quality Inn and Suites. The room is one of the cleanest Ive ever slept in, even cleaner than many of the more expensive hotels where Ive stayed. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was filling. The hotel was very conveniently located near the interstate on which wed been traveling. Finally, the price was lower than Id expect for a clean and comfortable room. Congratulations to the staff for creating such a pleasant place to stay! Youve convinced me to explore more Quality Inn and Suites in the future.
Even though the shower was a bad experience, I would still recommend this hotel. The staff was excellent and super friendly. They advised to call ahead for special diet needs and theyd stock it for me during my stay. Most hotels wont do that. The room was clean and updated. Overall, I liked our stay but the water heating system seriously needs an overhaul.
The hotel is easily accessible to the Interstate. The price is a great value for what you get and the pet fee is decent. The rooms are very nice and the beds and pillows are extremely comfortable. The front desk staff and housekeeper are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was terrific and the time frame is great, not seen often at hotels.
We stay at this hotel about 1-2 times a month to visit family. We always book online and check in later in the evening. The evening receptionist, Angela(I think) is always so friendly and helpful. She is one of the reasons we stay here. Great personality, fantastic customer service and enjoyable conversation.
We didn’t make a reservation until late in the day. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at the hotel and our room was upgraded by Angela without a request from us. She was very intent on seeing to it that we had a great stay. The room was excellent, the bed was comfortable, and we enjoyed the hot breakfast, so we did indeed have a great stay!
This hotel is in need of serious updating. It is in a reasonable location (though the entrance sign is not obvious), but it is substandard when compared to 90% of the other motels in the vicinity. This motel needs a complete renovation in order to attract customers for a second visit. When I checked out, the desk clerk never even bothered to ask how I liked my stay. I have found this to be the general rule at substandard motels— no-one asks about their customers’ experience because they know/fear what they are likely to hear. The personnel were okay, and did the best they could considering where they are employed.
Terrible experience! Walk in our room you could see tons of hand prints all over the head board! We had 45 minutes to check in get ready and go to a wedding, went to turn on the tub 2 spiders came crawling out of the bath tub! On top of that there was one on the sink! Not just a regular house slide either. As we went to walk out of our room I noticed a huge crack in the door. You could see right through our room. We didn’t have time to switch rooms and that’s not our issue! You should have every room ready and every customer satisfied! So when we get back we decide to turn the “hot tub” on in our room and only 2 out of three jets blow. I refused to sit in it because of how dirty it was but I put my feet in it. Thank god there was no fires or emergencies because I had to block the door with a sheet and chair so no one could look in our room. Pics of crack in door and spider below!
This place is great! It has been newly remodeled and has one of the most comfortable beds I have have slept on in a hotel. Proximity is close to both the interstate and the turnpike. The staff is very friendly, especially Angela. She makes everyone feel welcome and goes above and beyond to help people.
I had not one issue. Employees very helpful and informational. Very Clean and quiet. The phone in the room didnt work but Im not picky when you think that its 2020 and mostly everyone has cell phones unless youre a kid but you arent leaving your child in a motel I hope. Though, the way this place was let me tell you, you probably could have left your kids with the staff and you would have came back to peacefully sleeping comfortable children fed had a story and gn. Lol. Seriously tho lets be honest most places get a bad rap because people are picky or they want attention because someone else was able to get paid from complaining jus to gain some publicity or wealth, *The shade of it all!!* Lol I am the type of person in which if I give a bad review it really had a bad experience. Im a happy, humble, guy with the biggest heart that I wear on my sleeve so Im not picky. This place is so welcoming Id think of paying for an entire month stay. Think about it folks.. Its also not in a bad spot.. its away from noise b heavy traffic saggy pants, loiterers etc. Love love love love loved my entire experience.. Thank you for the hospitality. Very much appreciated.. Next time I am there I promise Ill grab some photos.. Also I cleaned the room back up best I could so your housekeepers didnt have to walk into something crazy even though Im a very clean person already anyways I just wanted to add that.. lol. Good luck in bringing in more customers.. I hope your adventures in hospitality are always a thrill.. Take Care see you next time..
The staff was great but who upgraded it n why was it acceptable. The tubs as mentioned above needed bleached. I have stayed at many other hotel chains. This one was clean but parts looked dirty. It would have been better by simply having cleaner work such as the painting.
One of the best hotel in North Liam / Boardman. Our room #206 was cleaner then hospital room. Spotless bathroom made me happy. Everything seems brand new. The best part was their staff. Extraordinary front desk and cleaning crew. You can see only smile on all of their faces. That made our day. We will surely comeback again. They are new in market. Give them a try. You will not regret.
We have stayed here for 2 night for Dave & Edds Auto Show event and I must say this is One of the Best Quality Inn and suites we have stay near Youngstown / Boardman area. Its was just 10 minutes from Canfield fair ground. Top to bottom everything was just fantastic. Nicely renovated and Clean rooms, one of the best beds. Hot breakfast in the morning was very good. Staff was well above our expectation. We will defiantly stay here in September for another Auto Event.
This hotels stay was lower than our expectations. They cut a lot of corners and left things broken. The battery was low in the door lock on our door so the key cards didn’t work after the first couple times in the room, causing us to need to knock and wake others in the room up to get back in if we left. When we got into the room it was very humid and sticky. No AC has been running and it took a while for the room to feel comfortable. The icemaker on our floor was broken. There was no bag in the ice bucket, we had to go to the front desk and ask for one. There were signs of disrepair that were not fixed. The lightbulbs in the room were a harsh white light, not a warm comfortable light. Would not stay there again, especially for the price! Would not recommend to anyone.
I had received a great deal to stay overnight in this hotel. I had never been to Boardman before, so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. The staff was very nice and made sure that I was completely accommodated. The room was small, but very nice and modern. Also, it was very clean and put my mind at ease. For an overnight trip, it was definitely worth it. I can’t wait to stay there again!
The Quality Inn and Suites in Lima is a great choice especially when traveling with a dog. I frequently stay here for dog agility shows and love it. The staff is very nice. Angela is the desk manager and couldn’t be more accommodating. I always ask for my same room and it is ready when I arrive. I won’t stay anywhere else.
I would have rated higher if the door shut properly was aligned and I could use the deadbolt. Room 324.Pillows and bed was very comfortable! Air-conditioning had a moldy smell to it. And there was no dimmer to any of the lights. The refrigerator worked well. The bathroom was very clean.
I guess the one thing I didnt like was the fact I missed the phone call the hotel made to my home, since I was on the road at the time. But, at the same time it was for good reasons. They had some flooding because of the snow and ice, forcing part of their hotel to be dried out and not looking the best. But, that didnt bother me. Hotel was extremely comfortable, with a spacious room, and extremely comfortable bed. Breakfast options werent bad, and cant help the fact their one beverage dispenser was broken. Overall, would I go back...for sure.
The most wonderful experience from calling to confirm reservation. The owner is so pleasant and helpful. When I checked in the women was kind and helpful. The maids left a welcome note signed with their names. It was the personal touches that made this an exceptional stay.
I know they have renovations but the room could have been better prepared If not then way more points offered or give room that is more prepared The dressers were sticky and dusty inside and handles were sticky, so we did not use them. Bathroom had water pressure problems so my husband did not take a shower. Toilet was not stable. Air conditioner was very dusty and dirty. I dare not turn it on. The open window should have been a clue. Luckily the weather was cooler than it had been, as I like cool weather to sleep. As for the food in AM as usual Choice likes to keep it cheap. I always have to get my food after I leave
First time to Ohio ever. This hotel was close to the turnpike. It was clean and reasonably priced. My big issues were that no one ever came to clean my room and the smoke detector was hanging out of the ceiling. It was honestly a quick and easy place to stay if you need to go up for a short period of time or last minute.
Ive stayed here a half dozen times in the last few years and each experience has been positive. The hotel is exceptionally clean, the facility is well maintained, the food is good and the staff has been consistently outstanding. One of the best Qualityinn and Suites properties Ive stayed at in since long time.
This is one of the best hotel we have stayed since many yrs. Fully renovated with delicious hot breakfast. Our entire OAC tournament group were externally happy with spotless clean rooms great customer service and special treat they offered us. we will surely coming back next yr and recommend this hotel to all our groups.
I stopped at this Quality Inn after midnight on a business trip. Christopher at the night desk was super helpful and amusing too! Just what I needed after a long day of driving. He also brought a luggage cart to the far end of the motel and took it back after I loaded in. First front desk person who has ever done such a thing for me. Room and bathroom were nice and clean, very good albeit brief stay.
This is our 1st stay at Quality Inn and Suites, North Lima, we always stay at Holiday Express across the street, fortunate that Holiday Express was sold out and we got chance to stay at this hotel. Bed quality was way superior to high brand hotels. Hot breakfast was up to par. Room cleanness was top notch. We love the window seat. Last but not least the customer service was the best part of this hotel. Andy, Angela, and Anna ( Breakfast Lady ) are the biggest assets of this hotel. We surely recommend this hotel to all travelers.
I was in town for a dog show, and it can be difficult to find decent hotels in this area that also allow dogs and are reasonably priced. This hotel checked all of the boxes. Staff was very friendly, room clean, beds comfortable. A decent selection of restaurants not too far. I will definitely stay here again!
This Quality inn and suites is one of the best hotel in my list now. They have amazing staff at check inn to check out. Angela was sweet and knowledgeable at check in and morning manager was so active and he ensure that our stay was nice. They all treat us as family. Hotel itself nicely updated. Soon as we walked in to 1st sliding door we smelt fresh. Comfortable beds and nice hot shower. I recommend this hotel to all.
It’s hard to believe your day can get any worse after driving 8 hours with a car full of luggage, but this place met the challenge. No Internet available! (You don’t find this out until after you check into your room and unpack.) Cheap uncomfortable bed. This used to be a microtel, so the rooms are TINY - literally smaller than my bedroom at home. A small room/uncomfortable bed/no internet is fine if priced accordingly, but I shouldn’t have to pay $85 for it in rural Ohio. The front desk was unstaffed and unfriendly. I had to call someone’s cell phone and wait 20 minutes for them arrive to the facility to reluctantly check me in. Thermostat can’t be set less than 70°. I left here more crabby and uncomfortable than I arrived. Last time I was in this area I stayed at the Holiday Inn across the street. It was a few dollars more but a much better value.
Angela is truly a star player. Never let her go. There were some minor concerns at first; but with her swift resolution and personable care our family cant remember what they were. We stayed as guests while we shopped around the area for housing. Hands down, this Choice Hotel truly beats the Holiday Inn in Boardman. We will definitely stay again. Moreover, we will continue to recommend this establishment to all of our family, friends and colleagues. Thanks everyone!God Bless!
This “budget” motel exceeded expectations and was as pleasant an experience as the pricier suites - especially since we travel with our doggy. Other hotels way overcharge for pets. Room was clean and comfortable. Will definitely return for our frequent Michigan to Maryland visits.
This hotel is located very near the OH turnpike, right next to the PA line. It is easy to get to off the highway, and get back on. There is a small breakfast available in the morning. The hotel has been recently remodeled, and so is clean. The people who work there are friendly. I appreciate that this hotel welcomes me and my pets as I make the 10 hour drive between Philadelphia and Detroit to visit my parents.
We had to wait 25 minutes to check in as desk clerk was down the road dropping a trucker off. She had a flat tire and could not make it back. The room was ok but when taking a shower the drain was very slow and we had to stand in ankle deep water.Breakfast was not very good. The eggs were cold (if they were eggs). Their was no syrup and no cups for waffle maker and I could not find who was working there.Explained all this to morning checkout but have a feeling nothing happened. We like choice hotels but this was very poor. They are going through a remodel so that may help.
We were happy with our overnight stay. It was convenient for our trip en route from Michigan to Washington DC. Price was reasonable although we stayed both there and back but even though we are Choice Hotel members we were not offered the member rate nor have we received any points for our stay on the 1st stay as we had not booked ahead (did not know where we would decide to stop). It was a satisfactory and there were many options for dining not far away. The bed was very comfortable which of course is porosity the most important point!
The staff was extremely friendly. The room had new mattresses and was nice to sleep in. However there was food in fridge from previous people, there was still garbage on the night stand. The fan in bathroom had a bad bearing and was squealing, the HVAC was noisy, and chunks of paint missing from walls.
We stayed here because the location was good and we were told it was under new management and recently updated. The woman at the front desk (actually only staff person we saw) was excellent - very pleasant, very helpful. We got a king suite. The couch in the room was so uncomfortable that it was totally unusable - could not sit on it. The TV is set up so you can only view it from the bed. The room door is hung incorrectly and lets in a large amount of light - even more worrisome, we found it was possible to unlock the door using the do not disturb hanger! We were told that these problems are a result of shoddy work by the contractor hired to do the remodel and are being addressed. We will not stay here again without verifying that these problems have been remedied.
The room was tiny with no desk or work space. There was a cabinet for the refrigerator and microwave but the refrigerator was sitting on the floor and the microwave on top of it and the cabinet empty. Our son stayed in a room next to us and said his refrigerator was in the cabinet and the microwave on top and a small desk next to the cabinet. I would liked to have had at least a small reading desk. I sat on the window ledge to read and relax. Otherwise, the room was very clean and comfortable and the location was quiet and peaceful. We were able to sleep well.
One of the best Choice hotel in north Lima / Boardman Area. We are choice privilege reward members, always miss choice hotel near Boardman area and finally we have one now. looks like newly and nicely renovated hotel. bedding was simply amazing. Nice looking lobby and breakfast area. Breakfast was great and nicely stocked. I dont want to forget about staff. I must say they have amazing staff. Every staff members we met was amazing and polite. Felt like they just love what they entitle to perform. We will surely come back here and recommend this hotel to our family and friends.
I can tell they have done some renovations. I like them, aside from the carpet (personally I prefer hardwood) I have no complaints. I also liked the fact that they have onsite guest laundry and I could see the hotels laundry room as well. They also give out free chocolate chip cookies.. Cant complain about that. LOL
If I could leave less of 1 star I would. This MOTEL is trash. The shower has absolutely no water pressure. My TV doesnt have one clear channel. I call the front desk and say something and the response is mess with the cable in the back. If you need a place just for the night this maybe your stop. I would recommend a short drive for better stay.
The place was in a run down part of town. Lets talk about the room we stayed in. The fridge was so noisy and humming. The walls in the bathroom were peeling off and we found a big black spier in the bathroom. The toilet wouldnt flush unless you press the whole time. There is not safety lock inside the room. However, the staff seemed nice and friendly.
My fiance and I drove from Chicago to Virginia and we stayed here going there and coming back. Our stay for one night on the way to Virginia went well; we had no issues. There were some little things here and there, like getting half-sized pillows and a huge crack in the door, but most of it was to be expected as this isnt a super fancy hotel. On our way back, the bathtub was a little dirty still. I woke up itching and found several swollen bumps on my arms. My fiance searched the bed and found a bug on the comforter. We told the receptionist and she told my fiance it was a tick. All she said was that the room would be inspected. Im not sure what it is exactly, but I have several painful and itchy bites on my arms, and my fiance got bit as well.
This was a great experience from the first staff at check in; to the dining room staff, and check out . Everyone was friendly and busy taking care of the people and the dining room . It was clean and comfortable , very pleasant to be there . We felt it was a wonderful value at the price. And much cleaner than the so called 4+ hotel that we had just left, where we paid $100+ !
Beware of possible bed bugs!!!Our check in started off rocky with the sweltering and humid lobby/halls/breakfast area, not being able to get in our room due to a broken card reader, and relocated to another room that had blood stains at the TOP of the white sheets. After asking for clean sheets, I was handed a set and told I would have to make my own bed. We had to go back to the desk once again for an ice bucket liner that was missing from the room. Also, the vending machine button handmarked Water water water spits out lemonade fyi. The room seemed poorly cleaned. There was debris on the carpet, sticky looking marks on the dresser, the bathroom shower tub needed to be bleached, there were stains on the shower curtain, hair dangling from the spigot, the floor grout looked filthy, sink looked to have been wiped with a dirty rag, and was clogged. Breakfast was quite lackluster. The real icing on the cake, however, was the bed bug appearing bites that showed up later. Myself and a family member that stayed in a separate room are both covered in ~15 bites each. Management seemed in denial this was plausible as a result of our stay there. Maybe Im just used to staying in nicer Hiltons, but I was disgusted by this Quality Inn desperately in need of some quality upgrades BEFORE the bug bites showed up a few days later.*Edit: in reply to the owner, yes I did in fact stay in your hotel, we went to Phantom Fireworks down the street from you. The reservation was not in my name, but would strongly encourage you to check again for bed bugs.
Since i was 21 I always use choice hotels for my accommodation. This Quality inn and suites i can put one of the top my favorite hotel spot. Brand new mattresses, new carpet and new furniture. On top of that they have great customer service personal especially morning front desk manager. He is so sweet and polite. We will surely come back here.
All of these 3- and 4- star reviews are not being reasonable. For the price you get a nice, clean room, and Angela and her team are MORE than accommodating. I couldn’t have picked a better random hotel on my drive to the west coast. Thank you all for the positive experience.
This place is dirty. Updates have been done to it, but other things have been left in it to rot. My door did not even fit the door-jam. The bottom of the tub had stains. The towels are old and dingy. Lots of cracks in the walls, just covered with paint. The corrosion on the bathroom fixtures. Lots of things add up to make this an unpleasant stay.
I got bed bugs while staying at this hotel. I had training for work in Youngstown last week and my company put me up at this Quality Inn location. Staff was friendly and helpful for the most part. The guy that worked at night/early morning gave me grief about filling up my “tanker” cup with coffee, I apologized and told him I wouldn’t do it again and he said he was just kidding. The room was okay and looked clean but when I woke up the third day I realized I had four red bumps on my ankle. I thought maybe mosquitos or spider bites but I ended up finding 18 bumps all over my body. Researched bed bugs/bites and I believe that’s what they have to be. Spoke with the owner Anup to cancel the rest of my stay and he apologized but didn’t offer any sort of compensation. He also asked if I was the person who called the front desk about a bug problem which I had not so there must be other instances. I had to buy and disinfectant all of my belongings, pack everything up, and take it all to another hotel. Paid/washed all of my clothing at the new hotel, went out and bought isopropyl alcohol and trash bags and doused all of my clean clothes and other items then bagged them all up in trash bags in hopes to kill any remaining bugs. What was supposed to be a fun trip turned into a huge nightmare.
The new Direct TV didn’t work, the door knob to the bathroom fell off, the bathroom was not very clean and had two partially used rolls of toilet paper. It was a non-smoking room and smelled like someone had smoked recently. The lady at the desk was very polite, but it seemed like the lobby was a hangout for the locals....? The upside was the price and it was close to the Turnpike... I’ll pay the extra next time and go somewhere else.
Once I get there I noticed how small the rooms are, they looked bigger on the internet, but next day in the morning when I was checking out I have a little chat with the front desk person, he was super nice and genuine....he explained they used to be Microtel Inn but they switched to the Choice Hotel brand recently thats why rooms are smaller, he also explained all their struggles and how they are trying to improve and honestly it sounded genuine.5 stars for customer service and cleanliness.
I have no idea how there are positive reviews for this motel. This is the worst Quality Inn I ever stayed. Please raise the standards before affiliating with Quality Inn & Choice Hotels. No heat & exhaust in bathroom, bedding was below average, no soap, body wash, lotion in room - provided after request though. breakfast was just okay. Bathroom door was not closing. I stayed on the room at the end of the lobby, it would be great if you check and fix it.
We were traveling from Washington D.C. headed to Chicago and I was very drowsy and had to pull over. I am very happy we went with Quality Hotel vs. any other hotel in the area. The staff was accommodating and very helpful. The food in the morning wasnt the best id ever had, but it was hot and it filled us up in the morning! Thank you for your accommodations!

2022-03-08Positive: We stayed 4 different weekends and it is Clean . They moved me immedialty when we mentioned our room smelled like smoke. Very quick to help with anything. Great front desk person. Negative: Wish it had a full sit down breakfast instead of warming up a sandwich in microwave .

2022-02-24Good stay!Although we checked in later in the evening and early in the morning it was still nice. The bed was a little hard but still good sleeping. The window seemed to leak but it wasnt bad. Id definitely stay here again without a second thought.

2022-01-23Nice clean room that is reasonably priced. All though the selection for breakfast was limited it was enough to make everyone in the family happy and what there was available was delicious. Front desk staff were helpful during check-in and check-out. Ample parking for vehicles with trailers.

2022-07-08The room was exceptionally clean, and the service was Spot On! The front desk clerk, John greeted us as we came in, and made us feel like we were family, that came for a visit. The check in was smooth and painless.

2022-04-22Positive: I was travelling with a small dog, and they were one of the few hotels in the area that took pets and only charged $20 per night. Even though it was in a rural area, there were two very good restaurants very close by. Room was small but clean.

2022-06-19The rooms seemed very clean. When I arrived I wasnt greeted with a hi or hello. No, when I walked to the desk just after three, I was greeted with hold on. Were doing a shift change.I was never welcomed to the hotel. Business must be really good for them to care so little.

2022-05-15The people where great. The king room was very small. Needs up grades to the flooring and walls. Pillows are small more like a travel pillow. Over all an ok stay.
