Quality Inn and Conference Center in other cities:
Walls are really dirty. The curtains are nasty with filth, stains and wholes. They won’t do anything to actually stop people from smoking in the building. Marijuana and cigarette smoke were periodically coming into our room all throughout the night. TV will not turn on.
I thought the hotel was greatThe only drawback for me was, my room faced the interior of the hotel. Due to some health issues, my body may need rest at any given time of day. The interior echos with the playing and Iaughter of children in the pool and gaming area. I noticed when I was outside the rooms facing the exterior were able to open their windows for fresh air. You may want to keep that in mind when you book your room. I believe either way youll enjoy your stay. (Very clean room. This is the first time Ive ever said that about a hotel)
I will never recommend this hotel! Hotel reeked of marijuana even permeating inside the rooms. The rooms sliding door which opened onto a common area did not lock...both the slider lock and deadbolt were useless. Someone kept banging on the room door through out the night. No soap in the bathroom/ shower nor extra toilet paper ( less than a half roll on the holder)At checkout other people were complaining about various things including the marijuana smell.Only burnt coffee and a few muffins were available for breakfast!Weve stayed@ other hotels since Covid and had a to go breakfast or a breakfast room with tables spaced far apart. When we
The beds, microwave and fridge was clean that was the only good thing weve encountered. The carpet in the room was damp, there was a musty smell when we walked in, there is red marker all over the bathroom including on the shower curtain, shower head and light globe. The carpet not swept and damaged in some spots. The lamp shapes are yellow, cracked and dirty. Fingernail polish was dried on the tv stand. Not a clean feel at all. Even the ceiling has stains all over them. 🤢
Wouldn’t recommend I had my god daughter with me when two dogs approached us and started to growl because someone had forgotten to close their door , also to mention I was removed from the pool area by someone’s relative who is employed there who continued to let her family swim when they weren’t a guest and my first night was awful I had to get my room switched due to damage and dirtiness
Place is a joke. Staff and owner are very rude. Semi_dirty facility. Saw more than enough roaches. Paid cash and put down a cash deposit. When I checked out everything was fine, got my deposit back in full. 5 hours later I get an alert from my bank. The hotel charged the card I used to hold my reservation almost $100. When I called them to find out why they did it I was told we trashed the room. On my mothers life we left room in great shape, no dàmage of any kind. They refused to tell me what the damage was. They are a bunch of crooks in there. Id rather sleep in my car then spend another night in that place. I have reported them to my bank and put a stop on it
I really really wish I could give this no rating. Okay, so full disclosure we didn’t do actual research on this hotel. It was a spur on the moment weekend get away. So as soon as we entered the parking lot, we knew how this place was gonna be. Getting into our room, we realized our shower curtain was stained yellow, ripped up. The curtains were the same. The room was a mess. It was missing things, outdated. So as we were laying in bed we decided to look at the google reviews. They’re terrible. Talking about roaches, bed bugs. Nice. Love that. So I woke up in the morning, with my ankle all bit up. For some irresponsible reason I said it’s fine. Let’s just stay out all day and only come back to sleep. We checked out the ice cold indoor pool, btw. They only gave my partner and I one towel each. So 2 towels in total. For 2 days. We warned the desk lady we want more towels.. we have one each and we’re going swimming.. I don’t wanna use my shower towel to dry off the chlorine?? She acted as if we should use our shower towels because someone will drop off towels in our room for when we get back. We never actually got those towels. We made 3 calls in total to the front desk. Well I did. The last one went “oh wow, he said he delivered them to your room, I dont have access to house keeping until 8am(the next day) I was livid. I took a shower and dried off WITH A HAND TOWEL. We went to dinner got back to the room around 9pmish. I was sitting in bed my legs were exposed. I actually seen the flea jump off on my leg. I know it was a flea because fleas jump, bed bugs cannot. We left immediately. We weren’t supposed to leave until the next day at 10am… we left the parking lot at exactly 10:03 pm. 3 hour drive home just to get out of that disgusting hotel. I called miss Madison in the morning to get a refund. This “manager” was very very defensive and said “well I’m going to have to conduct my own investigation” she never ever called us back with her findings, I knew she wouldn’t. We contacted corporate. I sent them the pictures of my ankles. They acted so shocked that they were going to do something but they could not refund us our money. Only the GM of that specific location could. Her name is Sophia Ahmad. I actually got her email address from corporate. I sent her an email. She ignored it. I made corporate aware of that they could only offer us 16,000 points in any choice hotel we wanted. We are never staying in any choice hotel. Ever again. Then they offered us $80. My boyfriend who paid for the room said he would rather have the $80. They said OK that’s fine but we are operating on a skeleton crew so it could take a very long time to get that $80. How hard is it to cut a check and send it in the mail?? I’m not understanding how this is supposed to take so long to do? I really advise anyone and everyone to stay away from this location. All night you can hear a lot of activity going on in the parking lot. I feel as though it’s not safe there. It’s also very dirty. The staff do not care about you they don’t want to be there. Oh and they’re hot breakfast? Packaged muffins, 2 kinds of fruits and sunny D. Not even real orange juice. Freaking joke! I can almost bet you we will never see that $80. Or that $209 spent on the two nights. We deserve a full refund. Also everyone should know that little bar they have on the website that’s supposed to be connected to the hotel is an Indian restaurant. It’s not a bar. They need to update their website. They need to update the whole hotel. I felt like I was in the 90s the whole time I was there. This hotel should be a motel. 100% I hated this place so much that I felt so compelled to write this huge review.
Positive: The only thing positive was it had hot water. Negative: Cigarette burns in sheets. I can not believe the ratings for this hotel.I felt like I was staying in the slums. The manager told me they have been renovating the place.I was asking myself who the horrible company was that is responsible for such poor work
Positive: Was located close to the interstate for ease access! Negative: Overall the hotel was older and showed a great deal of wear, the halls and common areas were dingy and looked dirty. Although the room was clean the towels smelled musty the curtains were stained and torn!
We absolutely loved the heavy odor of pot clinging to every surface, the shouting and yelling that went on in the hallway outside our room until 3 a.m., the room carpets that were wet and so dirty that our bare feet left black footprints on the cream colored bathroom tiles, the working girls with their sparkling, metallic pink Cadillac and fuzzy pink steering wheel cover and the general sense that a mugger lurked around every corner. We think youll love staying here too.
At some point in time this hotel was a fantastic place! But at some point not enough upkeep was done and its been let go. Pool was closed for maintenance until further notice. Breakfast available was oatmeal cream pies, cracker, waters and juice due to covid even though the site said actual breakfast was available. We were only there for a mid-driving stop and just needed some sleep. So it served its purpose.
The staff was wonderful but I will never stay there again. My room had bedbugs and I spent the night sitting up on the couch. My friends room had bedbugs and a pet mouse that kept running around. He complained and they gave him a wonderful room with new carpet, I should have done the same. I liked how the king-size rooms had a bed and a couch but the was nowhere to plug in my phone without crawling under the desk or moving the bed. The pool area looked very nice but was closed.
Positive: The only thing I can really say that is positive was that I was able to get a room in the area. Negative: There was no shower curtain on the shower. There was a frozen pot pie in the freezer of the fridge which was leaking water. One of the drawers of the dresser had surgical gloves,a comb , and other trash. There was no breakfast being served for no reason.
Updated non smoking room. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Air quality good. Some unknown guest but otherwise I felt safe. Staff was pleasant and nice. Specified a non smoking but some misunderstanding with younger staff. One call to manager and everything was taken care of.
Horrible place seeking a refund i left early this morning. Main reasons i booked they have indoor pool hottub gameroom and restaurant. Every single amenity was closed. Not 1 thing of this was mentioned on expedia or by hotel when i called and those were the reasons for booking and it was all closed and nothing was disclosed. Then i paid online and thought i paid pet fee online and when arrived i was charged 25$ for my 2 Chihuahuas each 25$each. The vending machines were all broken and non operational and this morning they were up first thing playing with the fire alarm system that could have waited til after checkout. Worst hotel ever. Im seeking a refund on this overpriced lie of a hotel.
This could be a really nice hotel. It just a lot of tlc. The decor is outdated but you can tell theyre trying to update it but its definitely not done by professionals & if so they need their money back. The pool area is really nice. Its not the worst but its not good either. Its ok but if they get this hotel updated, it could be a good hotel. Great would b a complete make over. O yeah another negative is no elevators. Although its only 2 floors but nobody wants to carry their luggage & bags 2 fights of stairwells
Was completely disgusted the curtains look like theres blood and whatever else all over them the bathroom looks like it has black mold everywhere and its very dark only one light works the blankets have holes in them the size of dinner plates the microwave is dirty the air conditioner filters look like they hadnt been cleaned in months the room stinks completely disgusted with this place
It was a nice non smoking room, even though I had requested a smoking room when I made my reservation. The staff were nice and friendly. House keeping was excellent. There were no plug in or available ports for laptop or phone charging services. There was questionable persons and foot traffic all hours.
Tried to stay here Friday night. As soon as we got to our door there was a key card from a different room in the door. Walked in and the floor was dirty. Looked at the walk and there was a bug crawling up it. Took at closer look around the room and there was more. The bugs were cockroaches. Put two in a cup and took them to the front desk. They did not acted surprised that we found them. Got a refund and left that place.
If you want to feel like a mouse in a maze looking for the cheese, this hotel is a good choice. Also if you like dragging your suitcases up the stairs because there is no elevator, this hotel provides good exercise for you. Also, I forgot to mention on previous page... Air Conditioner did NOT work, even after a tech came to check it out. Horrible nights sleep.
Positive: i could turn on the bathroom fan and heating cooling fan to help diminish the noise. Negative: This was the worst hotel experience i ever had. Both security doors were broken and piled with empty beer cans. I saw a staff getting high in the parking lot. I saw a guest climb out of his hotel window. A staffs kid was rolling skating in the lobby.
Just checked in...wow and wow. Roomed smelled musty , table dirty, only half the lights worked, trash on the floor , wall paper peeling off, ripped sign with tape still stuck to the wall. Stain on the floor blanket and a kids bathing suit hanging on the shower road...what cleaning staff does that? Front desk team are very nice and friendly but NOPE and a solid NOPE!!!!
Terrible experience here. They put me in a room where the ceiling was falling in and two holes were punched in the wall. Customer service was aweful. Then we had to look at three more raggedy rooms because refrigerators didnt work. Had food in them as well. The ceiling was leaking over the bed. The hallways were filthy. Stains and burn holes in the blankets and on the pillows when I asked for them. If I could give a zero I would.
Wife got bit by bed bug the third night we was there,,I tried to be cool and just ask for new blankets , which was super underplaying the situation I think..and young dude refused said house keeping was closed....also got bit by bugs a couple years ago when we went there..
Stayed a couple weeks during Thanksgiving time frame due to losing my home to fire and key cards never seemed to work more than once ever and they refused to supply any towels I had to go buy some to use. Pool and hot tub area closed at 6pm for some reason when the sign said 8pm not even one of the housekeepers spoke a single word of English and every time id go to car to warm it up I noticed that management would come to door and stand there and watch me like I was doing something also it reeks of Marijuana throughout the entire top floor. Bathroom was nice and the heat worked is only reason I gave it the 1 star I graciously gave it.
Apparently if the same person is booking 2 rooms then both will be very far apart from each other. When asked why they are not together then you will be shocked to know that you have to specifically ask for them so I asked to cancel the booking and after talking to management I was given rooms together. Thats not incompetence but sheer maliciousness.
Booked a room using reward points on Friday, May 21, 2021 to stay overnight while in town for a family emergency. Checked in at 7PM with my daughter, my daughter instantly complained of itching once entering the room. Visual inspection I did not see any bugs. Around 1 AM my daughter says Mom get up off the bed there is a dead bed bug on the sheets. I jumped up called the front desk repeatedly and got no answer. We packed our bags and left making the hour long driver back to Columbus. While driving I kept calling the front desk and someone finally answered, I explained the situation and was advised manager would call me in the morning. I waited until noon on the next day called back was told manager wouldnt be in today would call tomorrow. Waited until noon on Sunday and called was advised manager doesnt work weekends but would be in on Monday from 7am to 3 pm would call. Waiting on Monday until 1pm called and was asked for my number to leave a note for the manager to call (this was now the fourth note I had left). Called Tuesday, smae response, called today, Friday May 28 and was told could leave name and manager would call wasnt sure of schedule and wasnt sure of any other information. DO NOT STAY HERE! I will continue to call daily until someone provides a response.
Dont stay here, stay away. We have stayed here before and now during COVID, and nothing has improved. The staff is very rude, and the conditions are not good. When we got to our room it had a half used bottle of shampoo left behind, no TV remote, and the door to the atrium doesnt even lock, so anyone could come into you room. Thank goodness almost no one else stays here. Oh, and the breakfast advertised? Doesnt exist. This place has been running itself into the ground for years.
The toilet did not work, the sink was extremely nasty, the hair dryer did not work, the shower curtain was hanging in the floor. I also paid for a King bed but the front desk lady said they had no king beds available because she gave them to other customers already. But I paid for a king???I have pictures of the terrible room condition. Awful experience. I’ve stayed in many, many Choice Hotels over several years. This hotel is the worst.
I stayed here and was there for around 2 hours and noticed a bed bug! We immediately left, currently waiting for a manager to contact me for a refund. Would never stay here again. Not to mention the hot tub was brown. Just gross. The only reason they got a 1 star is bc thats the lowest i could give.
We felt very uneasy at this hotel. There were dead bolt locks on the outside of some doors with pad locks on the dead bolts. We were very nervous about the possibility of human trafficking happening at this hotel. The hotel smelled funny. We asked for more towels and none were ever brought.Getting to the rooms was weird to go through the atrium. We didnt get checked in until almost 11 and my daughter had a college exam to finish before midnight. Had it not been for her having to finish that exam in less than an hour we would have definitely left and went to a different hotel. This was by far the very worst hotel we have ever been to.
For starters they are renovating so Im going to assume they know they need improvement. I wont be too brutal but if you dont mind being hit with the smell of weed as soon as you enter the front door and roaches then this will be a nice place for you. My company paid for this so Im grateful for the room but this place is nasty! On the positive the staff is really nice and helpful!
This hotel was a real dump! Dont let the positive reviews fool you, there was no security lock on any of the outer doors going in to the hotel. There were people coming in and out the back door to use the pool and hot tub that Im pretty sure were not paid guests because of their behavior, no mask or lack of swimwear. I asked the girl at the front desk for a manager on duty and she said there wasnt one until tomorrow evening and wasnt aware of the no locked doors and didnt seem too concerned about it. There is definitely no quality at this Inn. 😡
Hotel is old and they are attempting improvements which is awesome! However, the aesthetic value of the place is near zero as they are trying to renovate while staying open. The beds need replaced in the worse way. The room was clean and nice enough for the price, however the halls are dirty and steps to the second level disgusting... doors look like they have had had use, on the bright side... the hotel staff was awesome! The parking lot well lit and it appears to be getting the attention the property needs.
The front desk staff was very helpful when I called to make reservations and upon check out. The housekeeping staff was overwhelmed due to full occupancy but the rooms were clean. The hotel itself is in need of various repairs. We did not use the pool/hot tub but it looked clean and clear. The lounge had a leak by the bar but the staff was pleasant and helpful. The hotel was close to the venue we attended as well as numerous restaurants, mostly fast food.
Incredibly kind front desk staff. I was there while someone was being trained & it was clear how dedicated they are to providing wonderful customer service. Clean white beautiful sheets & comfortable bed. Slept the best in 3 days of traveling. Highly recommend & we will definitely stay here again next time we are town. My 2 kitties loved the big windows.
We were very happy with our stay at the Quality Inn in Springfield, OH. The price was very reasonable and the inn was clean and comfortable. While it does not have that brand-new look, it has been maintained well and I felt safe there. The room fixtures were clean, nice and in good repair. The bedding was very clean , the mattress was obviously newer and of good quality. The bathroom also was in good shape and clean. Hotel staff were courteous, helpful and prompt. We did not swim but the pool area looked very inviting. The shower temperature and water pressure were very good. Nothing to complain about! Great price!
I decided to check this place out despite the bad reviews. Indeed its not a perfect luxury hotel, but it really wasnt bad either. Ive always loved Atrium style hotels and they seem to be a Dying Breed around here, this one has certainly seen better days but my son and I really enjoyed the pool and the hot tub as well as the few video games that did work. We got a room right on the atrium and it was super clean and in excellent shape. The staff was professional and friendly. All in all it was a very good stay and well worth the price.
Granted, this was under construction while we were there but it was the grossest place Ive ever stayed. It was dirty; the carpet was sticky like it used to be a smoking room, there were pubes on the curtains, it smelled like mildew, and the walls were very thin. At least until the construction is done, Id recommend picking one of the other two hotels near by.
Staff very friendly & helpful. Bed was comfortable, shower worked. Appears maid service does a good job. But the hotel needs renovations badly! Hall carpet smells, dirty, stained. Rooms smell musty, light shades torn/broken, light bulbs almost falling off, window fogged over, not inviting. That was the second room, first room the bath tub faucet kept running. Someone kept propping open the back door, not a good feel for security. Shady characters hanging around front lobby & back door. Do not recommend this hotel!
DO NOT STAY HERE! The staff was nice, but this hotel needs a renovation. Huge burn mark on outlet, 4 out of the 6 lights did not work, stale smoke smell, stains on comforter, no clock in room. Holes in window curtains, a lot of light coming through in the morning. Bathtub didnt drain, had to stand in several inches of water when showering. Recommend the Comfort Suites across the street.
This place was pretty gross, and they didn’t seem to care. The shower had roaches, towels were stained, something that looked mold on the ceiling, and then the ice machine didn’t work and they closed their breakfast 5 minutes early. We drove in super late, so waited until the last minute to wake up/eat, but were too late. When I told the front desk worker, she said she was sorry and to have a great day. 😳 So much for customer service.
Place was nice and clean. My room had a microwave and fridge, TV had around 70 channels. Good water pressure and heat with plenty of towels. Didnt see any bugs when I checked my mattress. A buddy that got an inside room towards the atrium said it could get loud. The bar was good and fun. All the workers were friendly and bubbly.
We seen Cockroaches in the pool area and heard another guest complain they were in her room. Hot tube turned my hot pink bathing suit purple. Staff were completely disrespectful, had no regard for what I was complaining about said the chemical were fine. The water was clearly BLUE once I walked back and looked at it under light. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. They dont care about their customers.
I stayed here with my brother for a week when we were visiting family (because they gave us the best weekly rate). At first we were skeptical because they gave us such a good deal but it was an overall amazing experience. The rooms were extremely clean and surprisingly updated. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The GM also took the time to greet us when we were in the restaurant (food was great, awesome burger) and made us fee very welcome. Honesty Im surprised we got the rate we got, the whole experience was superb. We will most certainly be staying here next time we come to visit family.
I really hope this location upgrades. We only come for the pool because the hotel is extremely out dated much unused space. I also can NOT over look the bed bug issue here. Had to check out because when I went in to my room and sat on the bed no more than 5 minutes thee fastest bed bug Ive ever seen was there on the wall as if he would host us for the night. Get it Together. Stays should be free.
This place Id give 2 stars because of the overall condition. Seems as though theyre remodeling so hopefully that changes the overall experience. Wouldnt use their pool, my room smelled bad and the breakfast in the morning was sub par. On top of that I had an issue with billing. Waiting for the correction to reflect on my credit card statement.
Staff some professional, some hide, I assume embarrassed about the facility they work in. Cockroach ran across my bathroomFloor, seen cockroaches in Dining area behind buffet near food. Same Breakfast daily, scrambled eggs, potatoes, biscuits and sausage gravy, cold cereal, milk, Apple juice and disgustingCoffee. I request someFresh fruit and it did appear next morning. For a few days.Building is in need of updates severely. People treated facility as it looked smoked weed and cigarettes in stairwells. Oh and Not a elevator in the place. Jacuzzi Hot tub was broken for the full 2 weeks I had stayed. Towels appeared at pool on occasion. Staff for most part tried to be nice and helpful. It was there surroundings that hurt the moral. Common give this place a FACE LIFT MY LORD!! It could be wonderful!!
This hotel is in dire need of maintenance. Restaurant/lounge was nasty dirty and service was horrible. Bartender gave me $5 back in quarters saying she had no bills. Waited 15 min for food to be told the chicken wrap I ordered was unavailable. There were a total of 7 customers so she was not busy. In the room the window had no drapes just blackout shade that was ripped off the rod and full of holes. The bathroom was rusty, dirty, mold everywhere. No bed ruffle on bed so you got to see nasty dirty box spring. A/C had no vents just open space and it too was dirty. DO NOT STAY HERE. Huge bag of garbage in hallway when I got to the room, still there the next day! Door locks were not very secure and the stairwells were creepy.
After reading the reviews I was worried about staying here but after getting there my fears were quickly put to rest. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean, spacious and conveniently located. My room was clean and comfortable. All though I did not use the pool or weight room, they were available and appeared clean and safe. Breakfast was available every morning and the food wasnt bad. Overall my experience was great, far above what I expected after reading some of the reviews. If in the area, I would definitely there again.
Where to start!!! I wouldnt even give it a star. I called a week prior to my stay for a reservation. Over the phone it was a $139 for a double room. I was thrilled...Received my email confirmation stating $422!!! And had to PAY for breakfast ... Which wasnt was confirmed on the phone. So, I had to call back and fix it and settle for the one room instead of a double. My reservation day came to check in (@4PM) and when I got there the room that was suppose to be reserved for me WAS NOT Why you ask??....Two housekeepers called off and they didnt have rooms available as the parking lot was semi full and she didnt know when MY room would be available . The secretary had very poor customer service and couldnt help or answer ANY of my questions. AS I look over at the furniture that was ripped and tore up in the Lobby alone. So we sat out in the parking lot on hold with corporation who was just as much help as she was. Would NOT recommend to NO ONE. We had to go to Comfort Suites which was a lot nice and less expensive, and receptionists done a wonderful job.
We booked and paid for this Quality Inn room through the Hotel Tonight app. We arrived a little after 8 pm and saw no sign of the hotel from the street. We had to drive through a strip mall parking lot to see the hotel located behind the Goodwill store. Even though the hotel parking lot was nearly empty we were given a room near entrance 3 as far away from the front as you could get and in the darkest area of the property. It was in the back next to the busy interstate. We also saw a sign the next morning indicating that smoking was only allowed next to entrance 3. We are non smokers and were fortunate that there were no smokers outside the entrance closest to our room. It seems we given the worst location in the hotel. We were not asked any questions about our preferences. In the room the furniture was worn and all lamp shades were disintegrating. The arm of the sofa was quite soiled. In the bathroom the switch plate was cracked and the faucet dripped. There was an extra roll of toilet paper but only 3 tissues in the bottom of the tissue box. There was a poorly patched place in one corner of the ceiling near the window. The listing on Hotel tonight mentioned a hot buffet breakfast and one review said it was good and free. We were told the price was $4.95 so we didnt eat there. As we were leaving the area we saw a Quality Inn bill board that advertised free breakfast. The room was large enough with a desk and sofa but a night table on onlyone side of the bed. I pushed the sofa over to make room for placing the coffee table next to the bed so I could have a place for the things I need during the night. Everything except the sofa arm looked clean and the bed was comfortable with good pillows. That got them one star. The wifi worked and there was free coffee and tea. That got them the second star.
Needs new carpet throughout the facility.Needs new carpet in the rooms. The whole place needs a facelift. Its located in closed proximity to fast food restaurants.Plaza in front of quality inn with food truck, laundromat, and beer store.Majority of clients look like they lost their housing and using it as a home. They look and their cars look beat down.Entry, Pool, and gym area looks decent. The shuttle van is disgusting.
The one star is for the customer service I received at check in onlyChecked for orientation with my current employer on Sunday 04/05. The staff was awesome, great customer service, helpful and friendly. The room however was not; there was a smell of urine through out the facility and between the beds in my room and stale cigarette smoke🤢. The shower knob was broken so there was a constant stream flowing into the tub. The shower head was broken and set to a high power spray mode which suited me well considering. It rained Tuesday night and I woke up to the ac/heater unit not working because of leakage from the storm, then I walked out my room into the water soaked carpets in the hallways, which made the urine spell stronger. This place is in strong need of renovations!! Not to mention, I was sooo excited to leave, I forgot my portable iPhone XR charger and cord, and of course after calling them to make arrangements for them to be mailed to me- “No one has seen them”!Please don’t waste your time going here!! Believe the reviews, because I wish I would have read them before my arrival!
The rooms were clean, and the pool was nice. Loved the hot tub. Loved the shower and bath tub. There was direct access from the even numbered rooms on the first floor, which was great. Seemed like a lot of things were kind of falling apart though. Also, there is a charge for a very underwhelming breakfast. Seems like we could have found a better place for our money. We wont stay there again, but it wasnt a terrible experience.
This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff was rude and argued with us about moving our rooms closer together and getting a fridge and microwave. We had a baby with us and needed it for bottles and baby food but the staff was inconsiderate and rude about it. The ice machine was broken which was a big deal since we didnt have a fridge. Our room didnt have an ice bucket or an alarm clock. The dresser was broken, the table was broken, the carpet and curtains had holes in them. When we needed extra linens we were told to come to the desk to get the linens but we had to bring our dirty linens with us. When we got to the desk the employee had her child behind the desk with her which Im assuming is why she could bring us a few extra towels. When we asked for a comment card they didnt have any and they told us they didnt have a phone number for corporate. I could overlook the cosmetic issues if the staff were the slightest bit helpful but they were terrible. Dont ever stay at this hotel!!! Oh and the neighborhood is terrible and known for a lot of drug activity. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!
No stars. Had to cancel a room for a family member who did not need it. Called and had them cancel it and asked them to call police if necessary. Lady was very nice. Was able to leave a message for manager for a refund on what ever payment was left from the stay. Was told a refund was given. I called back three days later to see where it was & a very immature lady answered & told me I was just told that I was getting a refund & that she let the family member stay three nights after I already canceled. She then proceeds to argue with me about how family issues do not matter & she would not let me talk to a manager. HORRIBLE SERVICE.
I have a hard time giving places 1 star, but we were unable to stay here because of the condition on the room. The first thing is that the electricity on half the room didnt work and the heater/air conditioner would turn on for a second or two and then turn off (it was a very cold room). On a personal preference level, the cleaners they used to clean the room burned my lungs, but I have asthma and am sensitive to thise kinds of things. We didnt ask for a different room because this was the second hotel we had been to that night and felt unsafe in that area. The receptionist was very nice once we got her laughing. Her name was Olivia and she was great!
The word Id use to describe this building is worn. The place isnt dirty, per se, but the age of nearly everything is noticable. In my room, the bed frame was creaky, the tables were faded, and the TV was out of date, but everything was clean and functional. The bathroom was fine, but the showerhead was old and the water sputtered a bit. The heater worked, but again, it was old and little to loud. The staff was very accommodating to trucking students, and the complementary breakfast was passable, but definitely not gourmet (cereal, biscuits, and scrambled egg substitute).Things to note: The carpets in the hallways are heavily trafficked in some spots. The convention area had some leaks in the roof. The parking lot was OK, but the building is kind of tucked away behind a shopping area. The overall atmosphere is a little gloomy, especially with a cavernous and empty convention area.I didnt get a sense of lax security and I was comfortable leaving my things unattended in my room. For the price, its perfectly acceptable and nothing stood out as a dealbreaker. Id have no issues going back again.
My go to when in Ohio…. Lately hasn’t been 100% not sure the staff attitude maybe just under staff etc who knows. Also housekeeping and construction maybe should hold off till check out time … most ppl who are staying aren’t up at dawn … we pay so should be able to sleep in on weekend
If I could give this place a 0 I totally would. The evening staff were horrible. They lied to us on multiple occasions, and thought it was ok fight with me on multiple things. The building is run down and out dated. The beds were awful, our room had no ice bucket, broken dresser, table missing lamination, sprinkler that had a deflector falling off. There were kids running around in the hallways through the night. Card readers barely worked. Worst hotel experience ever. DO NOT STAY HERE.
The rooms are nice but I seen a big roach crawling in the bathroom on the mirror , theres no elevators so if you have luggage good look with that going up to the second floor its creepy going down and up stairs because there are know cameras and the door is unlocked all night
Its a lower priced hotel so you should not expect to be blown away. Not very clean, has and old smell, a/c is crazy loud (on low speed), very slow bathtub drain, sketchy neighborhood. Pool was clean, but fitness center leaves a bit to be desired. Overall decent, but I would pay a little more, perhaps at a different chain, for a better overall experience. Its hard when choosing online, and you are not from the area, for a place to stay. Looking clean and smelling clean are probably the number one thing for most travelers, other things you can kind of live with.
Or room was clean. The bed compressed down a lot when I sat on the edge but it was a comfortable to sleep on. Our room had a nice LCD TV in it and cable. The hotel is like a donut. The large atrium in the middle is it of the 90s with pink decor. There is a pool at one end which you can hear people swimming in at 5am if they are yelling and you have an interior room. I wouldnt stay here on my honeymoon but great for a low budget.
This place is the worst. Avoid it if possible. Saw tiny little cockroaches in the hallway. Overheard staff saying the owner is gonna sell it and puts in the bare minimum of maintenance. The pool is like a petri dish, so cloudy you cant see the bottom. Had three random strangers attempt to get into my room in the week I had to stay here. The staff also doesnt care if you have a Do Not Disturb sign up so every day housekeeping will try to open your door. This doesnt sit well with me as I had a nervous cat with me who tried to run. If I could give it a lower rating I would, this place needs to be closed and then burned to the ground.
This place is already rough, but its cheaper than most with a big pool. We requested a room buy said pool and got it, but it smelled like mold or mildew really strong. We asked to be changed, and when we walked in the next room the bed looked freshly slept in and unmade and there was a tampon in the toilet. We tried a third time and saw a roach right when we walked in. I felt like I needed a shower just because I was in the building.
I use Choice Hotels about 90% of the time and this was by far the worst hotel I have stayed in. I would give a 0 star rating if possible. The entire front of the heater fell off when I turned it on. I put it back on and it fell off again. The room didn’t have a blow dryer as advertised. There were at least two signs saying to dial 0 if there was a problem. I couldn’t dial zero because the phone only had static. I called the hotel directly on my cell and it just rang and rang. I was on the far opposite side of the front desk so I had to walk all the way across. The mirror had brown rust like spots all over it! I thought maybe I could relax and take a bath after being so irritated but the tub wouldn’t hold water. I decided to take a quick shower and noticed mold on the shower curtain and the ceiling over the shower. The ice bucket had what appeared to be mold as well. There was also a rip in the wallpaper just outside the bathroom. I finally went to bed and when I turned off the lights it was still bright in the room because the vinyl curtains had hundreds of pin holes to let in light. Oh, the pool was disgusting! The paint was peeling off the steps and it had something floating in it. The bed was comfortable but the pillows smelled like sweat and needed washed! The housekeeping staff I talked to were pleasant.
Had no remote for the tv. I called and was told they will bring 1 up. 1.5 hrs later, they bring 1. The heater had 2 settings. Broil, or AC. Went to take a shower and there were used towels in the tub. Very dirty room. They front desk ladies were very sweet about everything. All in all...this place is a dump
The room needs some cosmetic attention and bed skirts but appeared clean and no bugs! Thats important to me. The shower is hot. The heater worked well. The breakfast is hot and satisfactory. The coffee is good and juice selections. Scrambeled eggs, biscuits n gravy and bagel and cereal choices. A nice pool and jacuzzi. The evening front desk attendant Kendra gets 5 stars for being nice and helpful and the other evening help. The blonde front desk attendant in the morning, needs a lesson in how to talk to the customer. I found her to be quite abrupt and rude. She needs to remember we have the option of going elsewhere.
We try to stay just for one night because my daughter wanted to go swimming. Welp that didnt happens we end up finding bugs cockroaches. There was also puke in the hallway and the guy seemed like he didnt want to clean it up and just throw a towel over it. The front desk woman was very helpful. I will not come back to this place. Im hoping when we speak with the manager I can get my money back.
Dont waste your money! Didnt say anything about the $150 per room security deposit until we arrived. Front desk was incredibly rude. Hallways are disgusting with vomit and bleach stains. Claimed adjoining rooms were unavailable even though the place was empty. Said we had side by side rooms and gave us across the hall and down one. Paid $237 per room and one room had no light bulbs. When we asked for some, front desk was very rude again. Said there was nothing they could do except move one room halfway down the hall. We refused as we had our children and dog. Maintenance finally came up after we demanded it. He was told that the lights were broken and did not work by front desk. Finally got working lights just before 6pm. Put us on the second floor in smoking rooms we didnt ask for, with a dog. No elevator so we had to walk her up and down concrete stairs. Breakfast is NOT free! It is $5.34 per adult, 4 kids per adult free. No waffles, no meat. Dining area was dirty with dish trays laying on the seats. Housekeeping does not have a list of which rooms are staying and which are checking out. So they come knocking door to door 30-60 mins before check out to ask if you are leaving yet. And we killed a bed bug on the one bed we didnt use. Didnt see anymore but we did see stains on that bed, the picture hanging above it, and the curtains. I will say the pool and hot tub are very nice. Heated pool, large hot tub. But its in a large lobby area with the dining area so it is not kept warm so you freeze getting out and there are minimal to no towels at the pool.
Staying here with werner. It wouldnt be a bad place but it needs updating and maintenance for sure. Most of the staff at the desk are very friendly and helpful, however I cant say the same for the cleaning staff. The room was clean when I came in, no signs of bugs or anything else. Overall my stay here has been pleasant enough so far. The only real negatives are: really crazy layout, good luck finding your room if youre even a little bit tired. Mediocre breakfast, nonexistent wifi signal. The positives?Decent rooms, comfortable beds, nice staff, plenty of places to eat nearby.
TERRIBLE. We left in the middle of the second night due to noise. First night was fine. The next day housekeeping didn’t make the bed; they only rehung towels. Saturday night we came back at 10pm to a children’s pool party going on. Be aware that the pool closes at 11pm at this hotel, and it is in the center of all rooms, along with the common area. Screaming, music, running up and down the halls proceeded until at least 12:15am when we decided to book another hotel and leave after calling in two complaints. This loud group were guests of a hotel employee, who promised to accommodate them. Her excuse for the noise and out of control children was that “the parents were drunk and lit, and it be like that sometimes.” Stacy was the front desk employee and also the one affiliated with the noisey guests. We could hear and see her talking to them outside of our room after we complained. And the internet was basically nonexistent. I will never stay at a Quality Inn again.
Not good. Warning to travelers not where you want to stay. I booked on expedia lured in by photos and amenities. We arrived at a place that Im sure was really nice in the 80s early 90s. The first room we were put in was terrible, it reeked of heavy cleaning chemicals, the mirror was cracked and the room was dirty. They moved us to a different room that was a little better but still not worth what I paid. The pool was so full of chlorine, the chemicals are actually eating away at the bottom of the pool. Combined with the band of unsavory characters occupying the hotel it made this a very uncomfortable stay.Just in. 8/29 still no contact from management but someone took the time to have the picture of the chemical damage to the pool removed. Wierd...
Very dirty and unpleasant. Hot tub looked like it has not worked in months and the pool looked like it is about to bust apart. The rooms stink and only had about 2 outlets in the entire room that would hold a plug in it to charge a phone. When asked for extra towels cause the pool was completely out of them it took almost 3 hours to get them. The shower was spraying water from behind the wall so there was no water pressure to even take a shower. Doing a cross country vacation trip and enjoying staying at other quality inns, this place is a total dump and not a place i will be looking up again to stay at. My advive to other travelers is steer way away from this place till it gets torn down and rebuilt. Such a SHAME to have the Quality Inn name!!!!!!!!!!
AWFUL! It was the biggest waste of money... first when l arrived l was unable to make a cash down payment an then pay the rest on my card, get to my room an there was NO refrigerator or microwave which made a 5day stay miserable. I had to get a new key card EVERY DAY because ours would stop working, the pool was unkept. The lodge near the pool was trashed. Breakfast was NOT as advertised. We had room service bothering us EVERYDAY multiple times a day. So there was obviously a big lack of communication there. Everything was also well outdated. You could not pay me to stay there again..
Their GM King has Very very bad customer service skill. They have 5 rooms customers didnt show up at all on 9/14 night. But he still dont give me check in till 9/15 7am. I stay at their lobby from 9/14 10pm to 9/15 7:20am. Check in at 9/15 7:22am. My company Werner use this hotel all the time. Dont know why he can not let me check in at 9/15 4am after I waited for over 7 hours. Those 5 rooms customers still no show up and no call. I only need 1 room, not 5 rooms. Hope the owner of this Quality Inn can find a better GM to replace him.
I used my points for a free night and was very disappointed. This is a very dated and run down hotel and not very clean. There are water stains and peeling paint all over the ceilings. There was no hair dryer in the room, just holes in the wall where it used to be. The lighting in the room was not very bright, even with all the lights turned on. The indoor pool was open until 11pm and had kids screaming and yelling in it all the up until it closed so we couldnt sleep until after that. The restaurant only had 3 choices for dinner. Wings, quesadillas, or a burger though I have to say the quesadilla was delicious. This hotel looks like it was a really nice place back in its day but its in need of a major remodel today.
This place is the worst...they dont clean rooms or give u Towels...plus their Doors on all room are liable to not work...Management is How can I say Challenged...They call. Police Because I come plained about what I said before...I left and the police Stayed until They refunded me MY MONEY for a week...Dont ever Take youre family...The place is the Carter....YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED STAY AWAY..
No attendant to greet us and took 10 minutes for her to show up, horrible WiFi, no outlets and one didn’t even work which means the refrigerator didn’t work, lot of outside noise, sketchy neighborhood. Luckily bed was comfortable enough and room was clean. Shower was nice and hot. Other than that it was not that great. Will not stay again!
ALL ice machines have been broken for the last 3 months. No fridge, no microwave. WiFi is complete trash. Breakfast has no meat...its potatoes scrambled eggs gravy and biscuits. The staff is friendly but it doesnt change the fact that this hotel is complete trash. Rooms are OK with pillows that are fine and sheets that seem clean and fresh. Maybe the owner should change his name to cheap inn instead of quality inn.
Not as bad as people say.My room was clean and well taken care of, I stayed on the first floor and had clean linen and clean room overall. The amenities were limited for instance the games were out of order and the pool was closed for cleaning. However the Hotel was in good condition for the most part.
I was literally scared to be here. The community is not suitable for a hotel of this caliber. That is not to say the hotel was any good, it wasnt. Im sure at some time in the 80s it was great. But it has been terribly maintained and I highly doubt it has ever been renovated. Upon entering the parking lot I felt like I was going to be mugged. Upon entering the room, we encountered multiple glaring problems. The back wall to the bathroom literally had a hole in it that we almost fell through. Spiders were not uncommon. The breakfast was NOT complimentary and $5 when I visited. We only stayed 1 night so we had no experience with the housekeeping staff. The room had a door to the atrium which has a broken lock but a secondary bolt that was a hassle to put into place. Stay far away.
I can not in good conscience recommend this hotel to anyone. The wifi never connected to my laptop ... I guess they were having trouble with Spectrum, but it would connect until I got close to my room and then seemed to be out of range. Although the bed was comfortable, the air conditioner leaked water on the carpet and it was very, very dirty. Finally, had the bath tub plug been installed properly, I guess I would not have noticed the large clog of hair and debris in the tub drain. Basically very disgusting!!
By far the worst hotel Ive stayed in. Dirty, rude, and over charged my credit card. There was used soap and hair inn the tub, and my daughters socks turned black from walking on the carpet. They will tell you three hot tub is down....but its been down for over a year according to reviews. They still advertise having it though to get you in and surprise you withit when you get there. Stay away. Many better options right on the same road within walking distance
I was staying here for orientation for Warner, and it lasts a week. on my second night of staying in a room. I was just laying on the bed, watching TV in the corner of my eye, I catch a mouse on the floor in between both beds, so I started moving furniture and moving the beds and never found it, but I did notice that there is a hole in the bottom of the box spring, so they are probably in there. I went to Walmart and bought some glue traps at my own expense to catch the mice. I will be informing the front desk and ask to be placed in a different room. Got into a brand new renovated room and wouldnt you know it as soon as I tried to take a shower, the faucet pops right off with a copper pipe showing spewing out water.
Place is terrible. Very dirty and overall not maintained. There were chips in our room when we arrived. Drains were clogged in showers so you stood in 5 inches of nasty water. Not just our room. I was in a large group of friends and every room was bad. One room had spit on the windows. Another room the window was falling out and you could see daylight around it. Felt unsafe due to no security. Doors were propped open so people didnt have to use their keys. Many truckers staying there so they might as well advertise it as a sleeping truck stop not a conference center. Please do not stay there if you like clean rooms or have a family. There is another exit down that is nicer.
Poor Management !Our company used Quality Inn and Suites for about 3 weeks. It was infested with mice! Per our employees they switched rooms and there was still mice in the rooms! Our guys had such poor service that we have to switch hotels in the middle of the job! It is ridiculous, and they still charged us after a horrific experience. Never using Quality Inn and Suites again. Very rude and poor customer service. Not clean at all !
I rented a room for 4 adults with a king bed and a fold - out sofa. When we were ready for bed, we could not find any sheets, pillows, or blankets for the sofa. The other couple went to the front desk, and Stacy told them that she didnt have any bedding, but she could transfer us to another room. There was nothing else she could/would do. She had an attitude that we were just out of luck...like it wasnt really that big of a deal. She seemed bothered that we were even asking for them.My husband was already asleep, and we were all tired. We didnt want to drag our stuff to another room at midnight. I went to the front desk & pointed out that if we can switch rooms, there must be sheets, etc from that room we could use. She said she would do that, if we didnt tell. As she was looking up which room from which to get sheets, I said that her attitude of indifference was annoying..that expecting sheets, etc wasnt an unusual request. She said that because we made the reservation online, she didnt have to accommodate us. She acted like it was somehow either our fault, ( since we booked online), or corporates fault for taking the reservation, and said that its normal in the hotel business that they may have no sheets or pillows. I said that is ridiculous. That expecting f***g sheets and pillows was normal. She said, If you are going to cuss, I am not helping you, and she stopped her search for sheets. She evened threatened to call the police and have us kicked out!I didnt sleep well that night. I was angry and found myself waiting for a knock to be told to leave. I will not stay here again, unless I am assured that Stacy is no longer an employee, and that her attitude is not representative of their establishment. I stay at Quality Inns many times a year. I dont normally think one employee should make me give a bad review, but this one was over the top. There are far too many hotels in the area to have to return here.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room itself was awful. The curtains were ripped and broken, i had to rig them up so i could block the light to get sleep. They looked like they have never been cleaned, lamp shade was stained and covered with dust. air conditioner had mold on it and i had to clean it off before i turned it on. The owner clearly does not care about this place and for the price Im sure there are better options in the area.
Service was great except monday 8/19/2019 front desk staff... Room was very small and aged, wallpaper was peeling everywhere and rust on fixtures in bathroom. Also our door to atrium/ pool was broken and not lockable at all. Im very dissatisfied about this stay. I tried talking to the lady at checkout but seemed to busy to care. Hopefully the new owners can fix things. I was going to stay again this weekend but Im not sure I even want to give a 2nd Chance and give them my money. Also was told Saturday check-in was at 4pm! We get there and rooms was not ready yet was asked to come back in an HR or 2. Was not offered any type of accommodation for having to wait for check in. It
It was very outdated, and in need of cosmetic touch ups. The breakfast was worse then a Continental breakfast. The hotel decided to close pool and hot tub at 7pm instead of 10pm so they turned hot tub off while we had just gotten in 3 minutes before. With no apologies or reasoning. When addressed with counter staff she said out of her control. I said I would not stay here again she snarked back ok.
The staff is very nice and helpful! The website photos make it looks nice. When I got here it’s a little run down and has not been update since the 80’s. The tub mat has mold comming out from underneath. The ceiling was falling down on the first floor all over the carpet. The staff has there children in here using the hot tub, pool and eating the breakfast. The breakfast never changes. The same powdered eggs, left over potato’s and the fruit is really soft. Orange juice must cost to much so they serve apple juice.
Super super outdated. Its definitely obvious that this was a really nice place to be in 1981. There was a blush pink shower curtain with a cigarette burn in the bathroom. Beds were super loud and stained from Satan knows what. Made it hard to have sex on. Wallpaper makes me expect Johnny to come bursting through the door with an axe. The lamps flickered on and off. Also old and yellowed from the days that smoking was allowed. Curtains were rotting. TV is bolted down to the dresser. Bad area. There was a fly in the bathroom. We named him Wilford. He was nice. Found him dead on the floor the next day. Giving a second star because of Wilford.Staff is friendly.
The hotel was pretty outdated, but everything felt very clean in the room. Our room smelled really strongly of chlorine though because we were close to the pool, and there was a lot of noise from the pool as well. Overall, a pretty decent place to spend a night or two.
We were driving late at night and decided to stay at a hotel to get some sleep and then leave first thing in the morning. The Quality Inn was close and we booked it for the 6-7 hours we would be there. It was very fun down and not up to date at all. The rooms had a smell to them and you could just tell the whole hotel was old and not kept up. We even commented that it felt like everything had a layer of grime on it. We were very disappointed with this Quality Inn. We’ve stayed at Quality Inns before and have always been very satisfied. This one was not like that. For what we paid for just that one night, it was definitely a disappointment.
This was quite likely the worst hotel I have ever stayed in (and Ive traveled in developing countries in both South America and Asia). My wife and I felt unsafe throughout the time we were there and I was actually kind of pleasantly surprised that nothing bad happened. The room was unclean, there was mold on the curtains, there were exposed wires, and there was an ever present cigarette smoke smell we couldnt quite figure out where was coming from. Individuals were loitering in the parking lot every time we came and went to the car. There was almost constant noise as people came and went throughout the night.I booked via hotwire and there were a number of very positive and very negative reviews at the extremes. I only saw the positives prior to booking so when we arrived it came as a complete surprise. I feel like there must be individuals posting fake reviews or the staff of the hotel are doing so. I rarely feel compelled to actually complain or post reviews, but this was a uniquely bad enough situation to warrant one. I would have rather slept in the car.
This hotel is super cheap, which means you get to stay there with the dregs of society. If you’re traveling with little ones or valuables you have to leave in your car. There are other nicer places nearby. There is a constant stream of people going in and out of the parking lot mostly people slinging drugs or hooking. Stay far away.
My family and I (wife and in-laws) have stayed here for 3 days once a year for the last 30 years for a family reunion. It seems to have gone downhill in quality. The carpet was dirty in our room. The bed frame was broken and the bed sagged and wobbled. (It was fixed that night by the staff, friendly and helpful, by bringing in another frame and box springs.) The inner recreation area with tables, games, pool is super hot, like s steam bath. The bath tub had a rubber matt and when taking it out of the tub, it was filthily. The staff seems friendly and helpful, but they seem to be often short of staff especially at the front desk. Things seem to be run down more and more.
I’m very unhappy and I’m disputing the charges on my cc. I can handle a lot as we travel for horse shows. But cockroaches and no power in outlets. I won’t stay there again. Walking to and from the room we didn’t feel safe either. The outside of the building was just as dirty as the inside.
The beds were disgusting, bed bugs and roaches running rampit. The shower had mold growing in it. The paint was chipping and some weird black stuff was oozing out of it. The staff were awful and more concerned with there instagram and Snapchat than customer satisfaction. The rugs had mold and puke on them and were musty. Save your money and go somewhere else!!!
First room my group had stayed in not only had holes in the walls but rodents, that I’m imagining the rodent lived in. In was a little awkward when we pulled out the bed table and found a couple pieces of dog food. Some of us took a shower and when we tried to turn the water off, it wouldn’t. NONE of the lights worked so when the night came we wouldn’t be able to see. We couldn’t even charge our phones because none of the outlets worked so I was a little concerned since there were a ton of guys walking in and out of the bar.Our coach made us the switch and got us a different room, this one was better but definitely not something to brag about. The pubic hairs were a bit of a concern and the semen on the bed scared us about our health. When we read reviews about bed bugs we checked and did not find any, thankfully. When the balcony connnected to the room next door I wondered what the people were like. It didn’t concern me much though because I had already made a mistake by telling the person at the bar my room number, ouch again though thankfully I told them my friends on accident. When we went on an exploration we heard some people “getting it on” and we saw others that were drunk sneaking into the hotel. The employees were a little sketchy but they were some help. The coffe was god aweful, don’t even waste your time drinking it. In my opinion the best part about the hotel was all of the vending machines. I do not recommend staying here in this sketchy hotel but it’s your choice.
The housekeepers are awesome! The 2nd morning of our stay there were US Marshall’s waiting around the contintental breakfast waiting on someone to come out the rooms and arrest them!!! There were kids inThere!!! The WiFi does not work, the pool and hot tub were murky looking, the kitchen closes before advertised hours, and you have to pay for the continental breakfast!! The heaters didn’t work right bc it was either too cold or too hot and the hallways smelled like weed so bad I couldn’t breathe!! It had my room smelling like it and I don’t smoke(nothing against smokers) but I have kids and it was very uncomfortable! Oh and their parking lot will make you get new shocks and struts!!!!
The staff we dealt with was very friendly. The bed in the room was comfy and the temperature was nice and cool. Unfortunately the TV remote was missing batteries. We wanted to take a dip in the heated pool but it was packed with children. Plenty of places to eat nearby.
We spent 1 night here with our kids and the key to our room was not working, we were looking for an employee to open our door each time we came back to our room. While we played in the pool the maintenance crew was cleaning the pool area and pouring bleach everywhere- my outfit is completely ruined because the chairs had been bleached! This place is not clean or welcoming even though it reeks of bleach, and for $130 a night I would not reccomend it to anyone.
Stayed for an event in the area, things started bad when we walked in the room and the bed looked as if it were caved in, on top of that the little half nugget pillows they give you really dont do anything for comfort. Our room overlooked the atrium and constantly reaked of chlorine which was confusing when we went to use the pool and hot tub and they were both cloudy, you could barely see the bottom. Although, what you could see from the pool was the ceiling that was falling down, so that was fun. Overlooking the atrium can test your patience when trying to sleep, anything going on in there after hours echos into your room like an auditorium. All in all the hotel is in serious need of major updating, looks as if they have been lopping coats of paint on there since the 90s.
Its really dated but its a bed when you need one and a warm breakfast is included. Get one of the rooms facing the outside if available. Not much natural light gets to the interior rooms. Two trucking companies use this hotel as lodging for students so winter vacancy might be better than summer vacancy.
Check in took a little time as the front desk seemed understaffed, however was completed quickly when it was my turn. Halls were dimly lit and although the room seemed clean, it also seemed damp. My sleep was interrupted constantly by car lights due to the position of my window and the close proximity of parking spaces to it. Close proximity to laundry room, added noise. Not a 5 star hotel, but did not expect one. It sufficed for a one night stay, but will look elsewhere in the future.
My husband and I stayed here to avoid a late night drive home and I have mixed feelings. You cant beat all the included amenities for the price you pay, however, we found the staff to be very unhelpful and under informed of hotel procedures. We asked for a smoking room and a late check out when we booked our room, yet nobody was aware of it. We called front desk and were given incorrect closing times for both the pool area, and bar. After ordering drinks to take back to our room we were stopped by front desk and told no alcohol was permitted outside of the bar. The bartender, who was the only employee we thought to be friendly and helpful, had to pour our drinks into individual travel cups so we could take them to our room. We also tried to order room service the next morning: information book in the room said they opened at 6:30am, front desk told us they opened at 9:00am, we called from 9-10:30am and could never get an answer, so no breakfast for us.
Hotel was booked solid for Graduation but we got our reservation just in time. We accidentally booked smoking rooms thankfully they were able to switch us to new rooms as guests checked out. The breakfast was better than I remembered and the staff was friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Me and my wife really enjoyed the pool and hot tub area, Thank you!
I have never imagined such a dump would actually be open. We booked this online, last minute. I can not begin to explain everything that was wrong. Dirty, not just dirty- disgusting dirty. There was NO WAY we were going to stay there. It was obviously too late to cancel since we booked last minute. After we saw room, went back to front desk. The lady behind counter says- what? Are you lost or something? Ummm, no- but I know Im not staying here and gave her the room key card back. Left and was scared to even look back. Terrible! It was like a nightmare- that smelled like mildew. We then find a country inn, thankfully they had one room left! I actually wouldnt even rate it a 1 if there was an option. Definitely beyond disappointed and out $128.
This place is awful. The stench is reminisent of a retirement home in the bathroom. The areas with carpet are the worst. I was coughing before I made it to the room. Noise began running halfway down the hall. The walls are filthy. No microwave or frog in the rooms. Only 2 drawers in the dresser. And the moment the heater came on I had to cover my face. I dont know what came out of there, but it almost made me choke.
Room was fine. Continental Breakfast was not included and the stewardess was rude and made an issue because our rooms (we had two) were under my dads name, so she couldnt verify all the adults (there were three) had actually slept in the hotel. The buffet did not include basics like ice water and decaf.
Maddison at the front counter was wonderful, gave a non-smoking room cause the smoking room ,stunk ! The overall appearance of the hotel was good , the free breakfast was great ! But I found some details that need immediate attention, wall paper peeling, ice machines not working, ceilings need to be recoated , no microwaves in the rooms , no mini fridges , but not horrible for the price ! I would stay there again just not in a smoking room
Bad area. Baseboards has peeled off. No elevator. Stairwells are definitely crime scene vibe. There was a fly in the bathroom. We named him Wilford. He was nice. Found him dead on the floor the next day. Giving a second star because of Wilford. RIP Wilford.Staff is friendly.
This hotel is past its hay day. Got a good rate and was smoking and pet friendly. However, no elevator, room keys constantly needed rekeying, and there are some car eating pot holes on the way back to the parking area. And for breakfast people its pay. Pool looked ok but too much chlorine smell to try it out. Remember you get what you pay for.
Service was great from checkin to check out even tho i was a little late. I really like the layout rooms surround the indoor pool. Only complaint i have is i was woken up around 3 in the morn by some youngins fighting in the hall way. Then again when one of there moms showed up to take them home. Bed was really comfortable. Not the cleanest or nicest room but i was in a smoking room.
Room was a basic cheap room. However, you could tell that there was a roof leak near our room because plaster was missing from the ceiling in our room. Two of the four lights did not work. The breakfast they offered was not that great. Try Bob Evans or Cracker Barrel down the road. Nice side is you are 30 minutes from Columbus and or if you have a loved one incarcerated at London CCI or Madison CCI youre within fifteen minutes of them both.
First room with King bed was not ever cleaned from night before. 2nd room was 2 full beds not my choice. A bug crawled out of the covers. The floors was dirty.Toilet didnt flush. Free breakfast was $5:35 with tax. No fridge or microwave. Will never stay there again. Zero stars was not an option.
We would give this dump a lower rating if it were possible. Though the staff is super helpful, the actual building, rooms, facilities, and amenities are atrocious. The air conditioner turns on, but the knobs are broken so we cannot choose a temperature. The faceplates are missing from the power outlets and when we went to plug a power strip in so we could both charge our phones, the thing sank into the wall. God knows if well be able to unplug it when we leave. The bed seems clean, but every surface in here (including the remote for the TV) is sticky and disgusting. If we were not forced to stay here by our company, you can bet we wouldve gone elsewhere.Worse was the on-site restaurant. One poor, sweet lady doing everything. She was so nice, but we waited ten minutes to get menus, forty five more before we got our to go order, and then once we got upstairs we discovered that the whole forty dollar meal was practically inedible.Mozzarella sticks are difficult to mess up, and we were able to eat those, but the (probably frozen) Chicken Marsala was tough and overcooked, the mushrooms were canned, the vegetables were obviously from a can too (not even doctored a little to a least pretend toward quality), and the salad was huge and seemed fresh, but the dressing was... Well, Ive never seen Bleu Cheese Dressing the color of sour cream+mustard. Sincerely foul.We werent expecting the Ritz from a Quality Inn, but this is by far the worst motel experience of my life. And thats including the time we stayed in one where the neighbors had a screaming child up all night with a new tooth coming in.Avoid this place if you can. If not, at least know it is closer to several fast food joints, a Big Lots, and a couple of gas stations.
Giving a 3 because I just got here. Front desk staff was very friendly and polite. Room was given to my by US Xpress. The room is so-so. I noticed red splatter of something (Im scared to assume what it is) on the curtains. Saw a dark spot on the carpet in the same line of sight to the red curtain splatter (God I hope nobody got injured in this room). The beds are soft, kinda out of date. Restroom is small and out of date as well but water and heat is hot so thats a perk 😊. Not the worse hotel Ive been in but nothing Id buy for myself. Hopefully tomorrow is better and if so, an edit will be done and Ill give more stars.
Horrible! Wife was bit by a bedbug. We rented two rooms for a two-day stay so she can do some work for her job, and all the while trying to access the Internet, she kept losing access or getting kicked off. It took her 58 minutes just to book a trip for work due to this and she tried again the next day to her regular work and thats when she discoverd three red welps on her arm!We decided to leave upon 11 AM check out and asked for a refund as we were not staying another day.The wall paper in our room was warped as if covering mold, the room smelled like that too as if coming from the carpet.Peeling paint at the bottom of the pool.If we read reviews of this place before, we never would have come. The managers name is JohnathanKing. We will see if he honors his agreement to refund us the second room we were supposed to stay in.Only one star for the staff. They were great!
Had to give 1 but really want to give 0. This place is nasty and disgusting. Rooms arent clean limited staff, no meat for breakfast, lounge is nasty I ordered a margarita and it had a bug in it. The hotel is out dated and I should have known it was going to be horrible when I got in the van. The van is raggedy and smells the hotel is the same way. Night staff was rude and nasty. I will be letting US EXPRESS know about this and begging them to change the hotels for its drivers.
I am actually giving this hotel 0 Stars. I usually dont do anything like this, but I feel like I need to make sure people know what they are getting into when they book this hotel. Sure, it is not in the nice part of Springfield, but that does not excuse what has gone on. The first night, I spent the night by myself (Note: I am a 25 year old female and I have spent nights in hotels by myself before) and just as I was falling asleep around 11:30, someone tried to open my door. This wasnt the door that lead to the hallway, but the door that lead to a conjoining room. Thankfully, it was locked, but these individuals tried at least 4 times to get into my room. The girl that was staying with me found a bug in her bed, that looked very much like a bed bug in the original room, as well as the room we were switched to. When we brought this information to the attention of the front desk worker, she did not even act surprise. In addition to all of this, both rooms were not clean. The floors had not been swept in a while, there was trash behind the night stand, potentially mold on the bathroom ceiling that had been painted over, large stains on the curtains, and what appeared to be blood spatters on one of the sheets. I highly recommend that you do not get a room at this hotel unless it is literally the last place in Springfield that has availability.
Horrible place.. So freaking nasty! If you stay here lift the bathroom nonslip mat in the tub you will see what I mean. Hair left all over the wall. Bed sheets look dirty with stains. Found trash under the table in my room that you could clearly see with out looking. The lady that usually works the front is rude as can be. I have so many things to say about this place but I will stop here. Just beware if you stay here. Check your room very carefully.

2022-05-21I would give this quality inn a 3.6 if I could but I wouldnt give it a 4. The hotel is dated and the room was a solid 4, nice and clean. The breakfast was a 2 with very limited protein selections. The driveway was a 1.5 needing major repairs. For the price it is a very good bargain, but if the other hotels werent full, I would have gone elsewhere. The pool and hot tub were both functional and were the highlight of the hotel.

2022-07-04We stayed here for the weekend of Independence Day 2022 and the rooms are very comfortable and furnished nicely. They have a brand new parking lot and have been renovating the hotel. Its not the run down Quality Inn it used to be at all. The new owners are very friendly as well. We will definitely be back. The arboretum and pool are a plus. Best deal for the price in this area.

2022-06-28I had the experience at this hotel. All the staff and owners were very friendly and knowledgeable. I chatted with the front desk lady for a while and she told me about some upcoming changes being made and I must say there is already a visible difference since renovations started. If improvements continue this one will be on my top 3 favorite hotels list.

2022-01-31This is the worst hotel I have ever been in!! It started off with half the electrical outlets not working in the room. The maintenance guy came down and fixed it. It was a bad surge bar. Then that night I wanted to call the front desk and the phone didn’t work. The room was not cleaned on the first or last day I was there. The outside door did not close or lock so, anyone can come walking in. I told the front desk person also that the entrance way was covered in ice. I stayed there for 5 days and they never put down any salt or anything. The only reason why I stayed this long was because the company I am training with out me here. They also have moved me to a better hotel.

2022-05-30They only Provide wrong Information on there Website. We booked for 9 people but they had only Place for 8 people to sleep. The Receptionist was no help, he was looking at us as if we were Wall. Was asking more money when we asked we are 9 people and the Website says that the room is for 5 people. Biggest Scam ever. We found a cockroach in Our room. The corridors have bad smells. The stay was not really pleasant. So dont go here...

2022-06-01Not the worst hotel I’ve been in, but definitely not the best. This place feels like the backrooms of Sears. The lobby is cold, then the area where the breakfast is is extremely hot. I did not go to the pool, but from what I heard the water looked milky and the hot tub was overflowing. The hotel breakfast evoked fear in me! They were churning the milk and the apple juice for some reason, and none of it looked appetizing. Overall, it was a good place to rest for the evening, but when staying in Springfield Ohio, stay elsewhere please.

2022-05-12Serviceable, but past its prime. Rooms open up onto a spacious atrium, but the slider doing so is crudely screwed shut through the frame. Atrium was without services other than access to a pool and some vending machines. Refrigerator and microwave to prep your own food if you bring it.

2022-04-12Conference center looked nice and clean, as did the lobby. Once you got passed that, it was filthy. Rooms were nasty, lights did not work with nasty yellow shades. Waited at the front desk for almost 10 minutes for the young boy to show up. Parking lot is dark with lots of suspicious activity. Directly behind a methadone clinic and a liqour store. Breakfast was microwave sausage biscuits.Charged me for my service dog because I did not go all the way back out to show them her papers. It is against the law to ask for the papers.Did have truck parking.

2022-01-12My room was cozy the bathroom was cold along with the water. As far as the water goes, to get hot water you have to turn the hot water on in the sink and then turn the hot water in the tub on . its an old trick that a different Hotel showed me. I recommend you come with your own drinks because if you wake up in the middle of the night and you decide to go to the vending machine, everything is like 2.75 almost $3 for a 20 oz bottle. The cable could be better. I was in room 200 so far no issue with bed bugs or roaches.

2022-02-28The price was high average, the lady working the desk was very polite. Other than that it was the absolute worst hotel experience ever. We did not feel safe in the hotel, there was water on the floor/carpet from the heater/air conditioner which was either freezing or it felt like 100 degrees, Room seemed dirty, there was a huge stain on the curtain and the floor was filthy. We frequently stay at choice hotels and this makes me afraid to continue doing that. AWFUL!!!!
