Quail Hollow Resort, Trademark Collection by Wyndham in Painesville
The room wasn’t clean my mother cleaned the room while I took the kids down to the pool area and then they over charged my card and told me the the room was damaged and it wasn’t I politely put the dirty towels and trash next to the door for the manger of housekeeping to come clean our rooms which they never did I don’t recommend no one to stay at this rude place their fascism and don’t know how to speak to no one especially Stayce she kept handing the phone up on me and telling me maybe I should have paid my bills before having a hotel party. I will not be returning back to them and I’m going to sue them for over charging my card.
Nice enough hotel, good location for going out hiking or hitting wineries or other things. They didnt come in and clean the room the first night, they apologized. Second day, same thing, now they said it was corporate policy to not go into rooms due to COVID. Confusing and annoying. Plus the restaurant and bar is closed, again due to COVID. And the ice machine on our floor was broke and the indoor pool and spa was closed for construction. Walking distance to the Redhawk Grille though, that helped.
Three the most important things about staying in a hotel: cleanliness, comfortable bed, good bathroom. All three failed in this hotel. The bed and pillows were hard. The extra pillows werent washed and had other peoples hair on them. The blankets were dirty. The towels were tiny. There was no water pressure. Only a teeny bit of water so it took forever to shower. The room smelled even after spraying air freshener. The carpet was yucky and old and with my dust allergy, I didnt want to take shoes off and I had to cover my dirty pillow with a towel to not get itchy.
Great front desk staff, The restaurants could use some new staff. Not overly friendly. The hotel itself is at a great location, but definitely needs up dating. The lobby was nice and modern, but the rooms are very old. The shower had stains around the drain, and the sliding glass door screen had some broken parts. Everything in the room was just old.
I was initially impressed with the way the hotel looked on the outside and the lobby was very nice. We were not impressed with our room. It was obvious that nothing was dusted since there was a layer of dust on everything. The windows in our room havent been cleaned in quite some time. There was an aluminum blind in the window that was broke on one side so it was just hanging crooked. The blind was white but was covered in black dirt. Stains on the walls and floors. Booked a room for 5 people and received 3 towels and 2 wash rags. When asked for more I was told they were out at the moment. Ordered food from the restaurant and it was very good. But they didnt give us any plates or silverware.
Very disappointed and really cant believe this is a Wyndham property. The hotel itself is quite run down and not at all clean. We were to use a meeting room that had not been cleaned from a previous event (still dirty dishes) and smelled like dead animal. On top of that, the water went off so we had no toilets or shower for over 24 hours of our week stay (clearly a health concern as well as inconvenient)! We received no communication about this issue from staff and upon our complaint we were offered $25. Several of our group were treated quite rudely when they complained at checkout. The only bright spot was a young night clerk who was friendly and the grounds are pretty which is why I offered one star. Several people moved to a nearby Hilton and enjoyed a comfortable week which I would recommend.
Should remove word resort from name, it has been a few years since we were here and surprised by appearance. Indoor pool empty, no hotel books in room, pillows are terrible, employees at front desk not wearing masks. This use to be such a nice place to visit now resembles cheap hotel with no luxury
Ac not working in most of the place. Booked my room 4 months prior to stay and checked in only to find someone else in the same room. Management said there was nothing she could do but put us in a room with 1 king size bed. There were 4 of us!!!! Completely incompetent staff and management. Dirty toilet in the room we had no choice to stay in and blood stains and other bodily fluids on the pillow cases. Ice machine broke on our floor. Took 1.5 hrs to even get into this awful awful room. Beyond disgusting. I never write reviews and could write a book on this hell hole they call a resort.
Here with the family after a minor house fire. Just wanted to make a comment on the service or lack thereof. To be clear the front desk personnel are wonderful. My complaint is the non existent housekeeping services.During our stay we did not receive garbage pick up or fresh towels(until I called the front desk and they were brought up right away). So with the basic services ignored, I guess I couldnt expect the room to be tidied or the beds made ,so I did it myself.
This hotel is in desperate need of updating. Rust in the pool and hot tub and railing. AC didn’t work so had to switch rooms and ice machine didn’t work on our floor so had to walk quite a distance to fill our bucket. Beds and pillows were not that comfortable. Odd that rooms don’t have microwaves and TV struggled to change volume and change channels. A lot of potential for this hotel if they invested the high price they charge for the rooms. I paid $123 a night but should have been more in the $65 a light range. Don’t get sucked into believing this place is a resort - nothing much like a resort to this place.unless maybe if you golf but we didn’t golf and staff never told us of any golfing deals.
It was clean and quiet. My only negative comments would be that I requested to be part of a block, and they put me on another floor from my family. They changed my room pretty easily at my request. Also, the way the buildings are arranged, it can be quite a hike to get to the restaurants, but this is not unusual for a lot of hotels. The hotel restaurant is a bit expensive for the food they serve. And the Coffee bar was never open. All in all, we had a positive experience and would stay again.
After reading some of the reviews, I was pleasantly surprised. The units were clean and comfortable, and the areas outside the unit were beautiful and and pleasant. We were a group ranging in age from 4 to 77, and all of our needs and desires were accommodated. The kids loved the lake, the pool the boats, and the adults loved the peace and quiet. No, its not The Ritz, just simple, solid, and beautiful .
Good value in the off season. Room was fair sized, bed comfortable. One pillow to large and firm, the other two soft. Bathroom old, toilet wasnt great and door frame rusted out. Nice location. Lounge closed early on a weeknight, disappointing. Beautiful location, probably great for conferences. Golf course looked nice but couldnt see much. Pool looked okay. Charging for poor continental breakfast that we didnt choose to use, very limited looking. I suspect when open the restaurant and lounge would be decent, if pricey. I would return if the price is right.
The room that they put us in first was dirty. There was a cheeto smashed on the bathroom floor and the toilet bowl was dirty with excrement. We called the front desk immediately and they transferred us to another room. The next rooms bathroom was also dirty It had lipstick onthe toilet and pubic hair. We had no time to argue because we were late for our event. We came back late and the next morning when we talked to the front desk attendant and asked for a manager to discuss the situation they said the manager was asleep! It was almost 8am! No one cared. There was trash inste the entregaría. It was bad
Beds were comfortable and the room was spacious. I couldnt stay long as it was only a stop over, but it was a lovely stay for what it was. The view from my window was of the adjoining golf course and the main lobby is elegant. Would stay again, just like I did as a child with my family.
I originally was going to stay here with my family for a family reunion and made a block with their sales team. The sales team was wonderful but do not work on site. The actual hotel staff was awful. I had to call FIVE times to make my reservation off of the block that I created and I still dont have one because everyone I talked to was difficult and didnt know what I was talking about. The night staff was worse than the day staff but I called at all different times. Im very displeased on the level of service by the reservation. Three stars only because because the vernal manager was decent to talk to and seemed willing to accommodate. However, I am not pleased with the rest of the staff at all. Im very disappointed and hope they improve. They are having some construction soon so hopefully updates will include better staff.
First time stay, room was outdated but clean and comfortable. TV channels are terrible. Food from the restaurant was good. Pool area needs a major renovation. Peeling paint, parts of ceiling missing over hot tub that was out of service. Black mold, green discoloration all over walls and ceiling. There is to much moisture in there for the exhaust fans to handle. A whole new ventilation system needs put in. It could be a beautiful indoor space.
Room was nothing out of the ordinary. There was a space heater inside my room, but my heat was working just fine, so it wasnt necessary. Was a bit disappointed they did not offer any room service, or breakfast (only Monday-Friday). Luckily plenty of restaurants nearby (if you did not want to eat at the restaurant inside).
Would not recommend. Staff was friendly but theyre way under staffed. Accommodations are that of a low end days inn or something. Everything is in need of serious attention. The pool and hot tub are pretty gross. Youre dripped on when entering the pool area. The ceiling is rusty, in the pool area. The glass in the door by our room was kicked in. The walks were not shoveled at all in our 5 night stay with a considerable amount of fallen snow. Putting any trash outside your room door would not be picked up for days. Most things were out of stock, like vending machines and ice cream at the front desk. Heat wouldnt work in one of our 2 rooms. Sliding glass doors in our room might have just been open they were so drafty. I dont understand how this is rated as a 3 star hotel. Its very sad. This location and lobby are gorgeous but the actual hotel is in a very rough state. The restaurant has pretty good food though and room service was fairly quick. Overall I really wanted to like this place but I have to be honest. I would not recommend to anyone.
If I could leave zero stars I wouldve. Hotel staff was the rudest bunch of employees we have ever dealt with. Our hotel room not only didnt have air it also didnt have heat. So no air movement at all in the room. When we called the front desk the lady was beyond rude and acted like it was our fault somehow. Tells us its that there is nothing that can be done about it but send maintenance down to check it out. The maintenance man was new and wasnt sure what to do. He messed with the thermostat a few times and said yep it doesnt work and that someone would call us to let us know what they would do. Never got another call however we did have another maintenance man just walk in to our room without knocking while my wife and I were naked. Came in yelling about Im here to fix the toilet. Our toilet wasnt broken and no one called about that. So between the invasion of privacy no heat/air and rude staff this was the worst place to have the wedding and stay. Oh and dont get me started on the food yikes. Stay away you have been warned.
Good stay here... awesome Jacuzzi in our room.. nice place for a small get away, nice bar area my strawberry daiquiris was amazing... friendly staff and the beds where comfy with nice fluffy pillows... clean no bugs except a few little black ants... over all not bad pricing... Will be back to visit again.
Poor customer service. Called to book a room for a wedding and the reservation specialist said she didnt have a wedding under that name and would have someone call me back. Finally someone called back and the room was booked. I Called to assure early check-in and the individual I spoke with stated we could check in at our convenience and the room would be ready. When we arrived the room was being cleaned. Cleaning staff argued amongst themselves about who was doing what and how quickly they could clean the room. Unfortunately we did not have time to wait as we had a wedding to attend which left us with no other option than to change our clothes in the lobby bathroom and then leave our belongings at the front desk. When we arrived back at the hotel after the wedding we found our key wouldnt work so my husband went to the desk to get a new key...I stood and waited by the door. While I was waiting a gentleman approached the door and informed me that this was his room and proceeded to show me his key. Low and behold our room was given away. We were assigned a different room at this point with little apology. After at our new room the key wouldnt work ...again.
Stayed here one night while driving through. The rooms are a bit old and dated, although clean and the beds comfortable. They have a lodge theme going which also feels a bit old. The staff were friendly. Didnt experience any of the golf or other resort features but they looked nice at brief glance. Based on just the rooms I would say this is about a 2.5 star place
The lobby area is beautiful. But the rooms are not that great. :/ Our refrigerator didnt work. When I first asked about it, they said that was the way it was going to have to be. Then the manager said they would get another. So I had to wait...the maintaince guy came with one after 10 pm! Slightly awkward having him wheel in another fridge that late at night. No offer for reimbursement or even to moved rooms. The bathroom had hair on corners and on wall in the tub.The pool was decent. Had stuff floating in the bottom like it hadnt been cleaned properly.Maybe I just had their one dud room and caught them on the wrong day, but I was not impressed.
We stay here on occasional weekends in the winter as weekend get aways. Of the two choicea in the area, have found this to be the better choice. Needs updating badly to restore it to the glory of years agoRooms are dated and pool area needs painted. Very nice gym and the pool is very big which is nice. Restaurant has good food and bar has good selections. Staff is very friendly.
Rice rooms, staff members were amazing, food was great. Servers were on top of there game absolutely the best. The only problem is the pool and spa. The rules are no one under 16 in whirl pool, and sauna. There were very young children in the whirl pool and in the sauna. This was no fun for adults. This needs to be fixed and monitored so no children under 16 ruin the adults relaxing in the spa. We watched children being dropped off at the pool and parents leaving. Maybe be good that pool rules are given out at the time of arrival. Make the spa as enjoyable for adults or as much as it is for children. We look forward to the resort fixing this so we can spend more money at the resort relaxing. Golfing is next.
This place used to be so nice. But the years and perhaps management have let it start to slip. My room seemed smaller than before and in the bathroom the towel rack was coming down on the one side and the shower curtain had mold spots on it. The AC was working on again off again. Apparently the system is so old you need to treat it as such and move it gently....but the AC still didnt stay on after it started running again. It averaged 75 degrees in my room the entire stay. The menu said food served all day but I found out there was no lunch available. And I discovered the phone in the pool (which also said for emergencies dial 911) wasnt working and there was no dial tone. When in the pool, I asked a woman who had 3 kids with her if her AC was working in her room and she said Im not staying here and giggled. Then I saw her slip out the side door. Speaking of side entrances, the two that I went out had no lock on them. So anyone without a key couldve walked right in. While the reader was on them, it didnt matter. The lock wasnt working. The pool needs painting, the water was cloudy, and I got to experience a group of 40 year old drunk golfers jumping into the pool and having races while I pulled my 7 year old niece out of the way. They were in and out though, luckily. The front desk was great and so was the restaurant staff also the lobby is beautiful....but I was just very disappointed in the room and pools condition. Its been a tradition to stay here, but sadly Im going to have to look into other lodging for my next visit home.
So uh basically our room had old food in the fridge and heels under the sink. Beds were uncomfortable. Ac didnt work, neither did the fridge. No towels at all, tv remote struggled to switch channels. At least there was a fan in our room to help draw cold air from outside, however other rooms were not so lucky. Also, the staff was unable to find out reservation even though we had a copy of it, because for some reason we got moved to another hotel without anyone letting us know. They gave us a room for the night, but we are leaving early and heading to a nearby garden inn. Would not stay again, especially during any athletic competition.
We’ve stayed at this “resort” for the last 5 yrs as an event in the area has brought us here along with fellow event attendees. We’ve noticed the hotel go down tremendously in quality over these last five years. Up until this year, the resort has offered a special price for the room as a bulk rate. However this year they didn’t have rooms left through the hotel to purchase( apparently they sell rooms to websites) and we had to go through a third party website, where the room rate was much higher than the discounted event rate.($60more).We were a late check in- which I informed the hotel of a week in advance- upon check in our initial room was very hot and musty smelling. The thermostat was set at 73 and the air would not turn on. It was in the high 80’s all day so the room was quite unbearable. Called the front desk and they relocated us to another room- however we paid for a king room and were given double bed room with the statement that there are no other king rooms with working air conditioning. Well, the double bed room also didn’t have working air conditioning. To get the air on- you had to switch back and forth from heat to cool, and then it would only stay on for 3 minutes. We called the front desk and they sent up maintenance very promptly. He was very nice and said the compressor needing replacing- but it couldn’t happen that night. They brought us up a box fan to cool the room down. The front desk kindly offered breakfast comp for our troubles which was nice but didn’t help us sleep in a hot room in two beds instead of one.Lastly, on our way back from breakfast we noticed that in the bar area from the previous night, the tables were filled with dirty plates, beer glasses and half eaten food. It was really a disgusting sight on our way back from breakfast! We really enjoyed this hotel when we first visited it five years ago. But Between the terrible beds and linens(flat sheets on the bottom mattress that slip off) and the inconsistent air conditioning, the owners should really look into spending some of the money they are charging their patrons on some serious updates and cleaning. This “resort” is definitely not worth the price they charge. We will be staying at another hotel for our event in future years.
Our room was slightly outdated and the beds were uncomfortable. Disappointed without the free breakfast and the pool had mold all over the walls. Patio is nasty and there is litter all over. Remember this being a fancy upscale hotel but now it is not nice anymore. Probably won’t come here again.
The staff were very nice and friendly. That said the facilities were dirty and dated. Their was toothpaste spit on the faucet of our bathroom, eye lashes on the sink, mold in the shower, the in room heating was so loud it kept waking us all up each time it clicked on, the pool was full of mold. We saw dirty, wet, moldy ceiling tiles throughout. Has potential if the property was actually kept up.
Where do I begin... I booked a room for my engagement weekend with my 2 children thinking from the site it was a separate bedroom. It wasnt. It had a pull out couch with a king bed... We werent in the room for 5 minutes and my 6 yr old said ouch and started crying! I looked down and she was bleeding from 3 separate cuts, 2 on her foot and one on her ankle.. I searched the room to find small pieces of broken glass next to the couch, behind the couch, under the window and one on the chair. I immediately went to the front desk and asked for the manager... she said she was outside, I filled out an incident report and demanded to speak with the manager.. They sent 1 person to the room with a rag and spray bottle... Went back down.. demanded another room and 3 people with vacuum cleaners.. same one person came back, one vacuum. He told me the manager was not there.. Went back down. They lied to me, lowered my rate 50 dollars and said there was nothing else they could do, they were all booked up. They said they called the GM and would wait to hear back... nevertheless, I never received a phone call.. same people at the front desk in the morning and told them this is completely unacceptable. No phone call, no compensation. Never again. Ive been to a lot of places and dealt with a lot of customers... I would never let any person back in a room with 2 children where sporadic broken glass was laying without examining the room myself. Please, do not go there.
My first room I was placed in the room was quite dingy in appearance. I went to turn on the one light by the bed and was unable to, since the part the light bulb plugs into was hanging by the wires off the lamp. I then checked the bedsheets and noticed there appeared to be crumbs all over the bed. I called the front desk and Ben was able to switch my room. My second room, the first thing I did was check the bedsheets. I noticed a stain that was on the mattress cover that was able to be seen through the sheet. So I pulled up the sheet and the mattress cover was ripped apart in various places, there was various yellow stains, and lastly there was a blood stain on the mattress cover. After seeing this I decided I would not be spending the night at this hotel and would be going somewhere else. I would highly recommend seeking somewhere else to stay overnight, since this place is not worth the money you pay to stay there. The only reason I am giving 2 stars is because Ben was very helpful during this whole situation. Currently I am waiting to make sure I receive my full refund back, due mostly for the blood stain on the mattress cover.
This hotel was almost wholly terrible. Clearly a visage from a long-gone past, it’s facilities appeared fine. However, within moments of going into my room it became clear this was a former smoking hotel. Dated decor and sluffy housekeeping made it hard to stay, and when I explained to the hotel manager that the restaurant workers ruined my breakfast with loud talking and inappropriate conversations, she scoffed at me and offered no recompense! Overall, I had a terrible experience here and suggested to my hosting organization that they never recommend this place again.
The hotel that I grew up always wanting to stay in is in dire needs of a refresh. The floors and common areas are worn. The rooms are out of date and the heat didnt even work well during our stay. The gym and pool were impressive, but unfortunately they didnt make up for the rest. Breakfast is a $10 table full of bagels and snacks which was also disappointing. Maybe Ill try it again in the future.
The location is close to both SR 44 and SR90 east of Cleveland. Even better it is about 15 minutes away from Ohio wine country, which is really pretty good. The lobby has the feel of a lodge with a beautiful fireplace and lounge area. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. I would definitely stay here again
I love this place. Its promising to be renovated but seems to be dragging its feet. Wyndham needs to sink some major dollars here to restore it to former glory. The staff are lovely. The out of commission indoor pool was a big disappointment. They were having IT issues which should be resolvable. Quail is a landmark property.
Do not waste your $$$$ on sunday breakfast buffet. It was terrible! The sausage gravy was tasteless and as thin as soup. The scrambled eggs were runny, thesausage and bacon were fake. For $14.95 we expected better. At the bar on saturday nite the staff was rude. Waited forever for a drink. Bartender kept disappearing.
I stayed here while i was in the area for work the rooms where very clean they could clean up the back of the hotel just looked old and run down. My only real complaint was i had a late checkout and the house keeper keep knocking on my door starting at 11 am. When i finally got up and answered she said she didnt show i had a late checkout even after i made sure the front desk knew i had to work late the night i stayed and sucked being woke up at 11 2 hours before i had to get up
We had a wedding here last night 6/8/19 our wedding was beautiful our Maitre d JAMIE was outstanding food excellent, servers on there game, decorations and tear down they did was done quickly and with care all delivered to our Hospitality room! She went beyond by making sure one of my handicap quest got checked in ,dressed and helped to her table AMAZING! Yes hiccups in the reservation department booked a block of rooms my quest could not get dressed in there blocked rooms to catch there transportation to church some ended up driving but supervisors STACY is working on restitution our supervisor KELLY helped make our stay right with all the HOTEL staff changes administration needs to key off on there key people and rework this hotel! Our personal stay and wedding without the problems with reservations is a 5 but the front desk crew needs to be more efficient when you have more than one event going on you can’t have one person running the show! Short staff and changes in personnel seems to be this hotels problem this is a diamond in the ruff!
We are having our daughters wedding here. Sadly the place is very run down. Our room to stay the night before the wedding and after is dirty and dingy. There was a tobacco can on the floor upon entering and the whole room is filmy and dusty. There are terrible stains running down the walls and a blood stain in the bed! The bath tub is worn out and disgusting. The are large pry Marks on our entry door. We paid a lot of money to have this wedding here, they could have at least given us a clean room. I do not recommend staying here.
Just checked in. I was expecting a nice place. We stayed at comfort inn across the street last month & it is MUCH nicer. Hot in the room, wi-fi is horrible, beds & linens are cheap & hard, “queen” beds are TINY, hallways are dirty.Had to call maintenance right off to fix the air...he was VERY nice, they moved us to another room. I’m guessing it used to be a smoking room & still smelled funky. The hot tub is fantastic although the pool room itself is yucky.this is a $70 room at best, not $150 plus, if it was $70 I would not complain one bit!!!I took pics but don’t see a place to post them.
Just got here, earlier than check in time, which we knew, but they said if we sign up for Rewards program we will be able to get the room 2 hours prior. I did and sat in the lobby waiting, about 5 feet from the front desk. Two people checked in and were given the rooms right away. I went up to the desk to ask how much longer and Jordan said that he forgot and I heard the other lady, she had no name tag on saying “ she could of come up here”. That is rude to say to the guest In front of other guests and other employees. Once again, I was the only one person in the lobby, sitting facing them both for about 45 minutes.
First, there is a great deal of road construction that requires one take a rather circuitous route to get to the hotel. Once there, the staff is terrific: friendly and helpful. I was put on a room in an annex to the main resort. It is not as nice as the main building. It feels more a dorm. The room , however, was fine.
We visited the restaurant inside the hotel. The tables were a bit dated and the dining room was empty when we arrived, which made it awkward because you could hear every conversation. The food was good and the service excellent. The food is very traditional. I had chicken pomodoro, which was a bit sweet for me, and my husband had the bone-in pork ch
I did not recently stay at Quail Hollow. If you visit its web-site, good luck! Other than book a room you just cannot get any on-line information, like the restaurant or menu. I called and asked where it is and why I cannot see it, but all I got was if it is not on the web-site I could help. The associate stated she would be happy to email me a copy of the menu...is that something that is really necessary? Ive never surfed a site, looked for a menu and was not able to view. This establishment seems to not cater to the general public.
Kinda disappointed. This used to be our most favorite place in the world!- my wife and I ate there on a first date! Stayed there on our wedding night! We go there every year to celebrate our wedding anniversary! We went for our 31st and found the restaurant closed. Hotel poorly maintained and deteriorating now. So sorry.
Dilapidated and obsolete facilites. Computer labs have broken keyboards, dysfunctional monitors, and no MS Office or any other software. No premium cable is available in rooms. Bathtub in room was utterly filthy, with insects, grime and detritus.Desk staff are polite, but kitchen staff are RUDE and pushy. They do not use folding trestles when they bring meals to rooms, and will lay the platter right on the bed or desk. Food quality is mediocre, portions are small. Restaurant closes at 10pm, which is early by the needs of a good many clients. All the staff I saw were female, which is probably a significant contributor to the lack of rigor or attention to detail in the management of the facilities.Summary: Quail Hollow bills itself as a resort experience, but aside from the grandiose foyer, its facilities and experience do not stack up positively against more economical franchise hotels.
Everything looks nice, but I wouldnt know. Who ever booked my wrestling teams rooms booked us for the wrong night and for only one room. Left me scrambling to find rooms last minute. Bad first impression, never again maybe should have better booking agents. The only thing they said was sorry were all booked that night and well i didnt book your room??
The hotel was very nice, but the hotel pool had 2 doors that the staff kept propping open to let the extra steam out of the pool area. Seemed like a ventilation problem or something? The issue was that it was 40 degrees outside, and the cold air blowing directly into the pool area was a bit chilly.
We attended a wedding here and were very pleased with the staff. They were very friendly and accommodating, especially with our four young children. I knocked off a star because of the folding carpet in the halls. I tripped while holding my 3 week old baby, and my four year old also tripped on our way back from the bathrooms.
I was just at prom there over the weekend and most everything was pretty nice. The place was very c)want and looked very luxurious. The only problem I had was the food. We had about 200 people at the dance. So it took over an hour to get all of the food out. It just seemed like there was a lack of preparation. Many people also ate their dinner without forks because they were cleaned up with the salad plates and no more were brought out. We had to ask for more and they never came.
We had our daughters wedding at Quail Hollow Resort in late December. The whole planning process and actual event were excellent. The venue is wonderful, guest accommodations affordable for wedding guests with great amenities that were available to them before/after the wedding and the wedding ceremony and reception areas beautiful. The staff were extraordinarily helpful in all aspects. Kim did a phenomenal job at helping us through the planning process. Everything that was promised was provided. The fact that we had a wedding concierge person available to us all day before, during, and after the wedding was extremely helpful. They went out of their way to make the whole event fun and easy for everyone, especially the bride and groom and their families. We highly recommend this as a venue for a wedding or any similar event.
Awful experience. first, i was told i didn’t have a reservation and that was all a hassle in itself. apparently my name was spelled wrong when i spelled it out multiple times, including saying things like “P as in Peter” and having her repeat it back to me. Then I was given a king bed when i needed two beds and i specifically stated that. so not sure where the miscommunication was there. the lobby is beautiful but the rest of the hotel desperately needs remodeled. i don’t know how u have that nice of a lobby then awful rooms. then there was no air for the entire first floor so we melted all night. found out the next day some people got a refund for it. so i called and 5 days later i’m still waiting for a refund to show up. i called and they said a manager would contact me. extremely unhappy overall. not worth the money at all.
Very outdated and worn down room and building in general. The bedding was rough and the mattress was old and uncomfortable with indents from too many years of use. There was also no electrical outlets near the bed for charging phones and devices and yellowed wallpaper peeling off the room’s walls. No more than $50/ night would be a more realistic rate. Very disappointing!
Have to say that I have stayed in places like holiday inns and the like and i have had better service there than I have at this place. Especially because the name says RESORT and not HOTEL I had high expectations. I was driving eight hours to get to this hotel for a wedding and had a late check in so I got there around midnight and the guy at the desk was incompetent. He scanned my card and went to attend to my friend who was with me and about a minute later after attending to my friend he turns to me and said my card didnt go through. But on my bank statement it said I was charged. So I had to have my friend put down their credit card so we could actually sleep for the night. Then that morning I called my bank to see if there was an issue with my card and they confirmed that I had already been charged for the transaction and that they were just waiting for the final amount from the hotel. At that point I was glad there was a different person at the desk that helped me out. When we are in the room, we had a sliding door that lead to an outside balcony with a few seats. The door for the balcony must have been defective because it wouldnt stay open. We had to get something to physically keep it open. But then the other friends that went with us- their doors worked fine. Plus the chairs looked like they hadnt been cleaned in years. Had bird poop all over them and we cleaned them ourselves to we could actually sit outside and feel a breeze. Then a few days later we go to order room service from the snazzy steakhouse they have in the hotel. When we all to order the girl on the phone says Im the only one in the restaurant. Can you just come down to pick it up? The point of room service is for the specific service to be sent to the ROOM. We went down there anyway to pick it up and the food was good atleast but I was still pretty peeved that I paid for the food AND THE GRATUITY for no actual room service. The only things that me and my friends liked was the fact that they had a pool and a jacuzzi but you could go anywhere for that . If I ever go to Ohio again that hotel is gonna be out of the question.
Seems like this place may have been nice at one point but today it seems very worn down and in need of serious updates everywhere from the elevators that are old and outdated to the rooms. We checked in after traveling 13 hours from myrtle beach and since it had the name resort in the title we assumed it would be a nice place to relax. I have stayed in motels that had better rooms than here. .No joke, we checked in and went to our room which had dirty socks and a small pile of toenails in the middle between the two beds. Completely out in the open. Also there were absolutely no towels of any kind in our bathroom. We called down to try to get some new towels and someone to remove the socks or to try to move rooms. They wouldnt move us and it took 2 calls and 45 minutes to get the towels. Then the person who brought the towels said I guess this falls on me to bring you these. What? Its not my fault there is no towels in my room! It was up to me to move the socks! Disgusting! In the morning there was a beetle or roach of some kind crawling in the bathroom floor. We put the plastic cup on it in hopes that the staff would actually clean it.The pool has no towels to use so you have to bring the ones from your room and the fitness center is compromised of old equipment that is held together with duct tape and rusty. Easy to tell that they havent been cleaned in some time.If I could give this place a half star I would! They did give us our money back at least. I do not recommend staying here in any capacity.
We are touring the US from Australia. Quail.Hollow is the best place we have stayed since arrivng! Great value for price. Comfortable bed in a large room; friendly helpful and cheerful staff. CKs steakhouse served the best feed we have had in the USA. Excellent steak!!! Green beans and baked potato cooked to perfection. Lovely to meet Roc the chef and our waitress Di made us feel special and so welcome. Stayed an extra night to dine in CKs again. Breakfast was also good. The best omelettes cooked to our taste with fresh fruit and big choice of all breakfast foods. 5 stars from us
If you arent desperate to stay here, pay the extra 30 dollars to stay at a brand name hotel. They charge WAY too much for the shape the rooms are in. Walking in, it looks very nice in the lobby until you get to your room. Holes in the walls, musty smell, overall very outdated. Save yourself the trip if you enjoy a nice night at a decent hotel because you wont enjoy staying here.
I will start by saying, both Jenn and Kyle are amazing. He goes above and beyond each day and is an amazing leader and worker. He decorated the bar for Christmas, reached out to venues for new products to improve the bar, made holiday inspired cocktail menus, and helps whenever he is needed(just some amazing things he does)(also has gotten employee of the year and employee of the months 2 times). I gave it a 1 star due to the new disgraceful restaurant manager, Julie. Ill use a few words to describe her like disappointing, greedy, terrible, micromanager. I have heard many stories that show what a terrible character and person she is. Its disappointing that Sean, who himself has shown poor management skills, allows her to work and call herself a manager. The company should be ashamed of themselves. The employees and peoples voices need to be heard until the proper changes are made
Resturants dont open until 4pm and 5pm. No room service until then either. Boo. Rooms are less than appealing. Clean, yes. They are soooo dated, out dated. If the room wasnt clean we would have left. My daughter immefiately checked for bed bugs. To our relief she didnt see any. The outdoor pool is nice. First and last stay.
Would not recommend staying here unless you need to. Wifi and Cable are terrible. Food / restaurant is very basic - sort of like a Ponderosa. If they give you a room in the extension area that you have to walk through the glass hallway you are really in trouble. There is an instant chill as you get through the hallway. Not sure why, but I guess they cant afford to heat that piece of the building. I have stayed here several times, so youd think I would get a better room, but I am still in the extension. The rooms are decent, the heating/air conditioning units are crap though. The plus side is that the people that work here are generally nice. Unfortunately their facility is just very old and very outdated in many ways.
Rooms are okay, no fridge or microwave in them. Staff for the most part is very friendly and helpful (except for just 1 person). Room had a musty smell in it that I bet was from the large wall of windows overlooking the pool. The price was comparable to the other hotels in the area, breakfast was extra...attached restaurant a little pricey.Overall just OK and probably wouldnt stay here again.
I purchased a romance weekend which included overnight stay and dinner at their restaurant that I had booked the month before in January 14th. It had box for special requests or questions. I had asked about gluten free for my spouse and no one responded in that month period. The check in started at 4pm and you had to be out by 11am the next day or pay an extra $50 for checkout between 11a-5p. The room was nice, did not smell and had a kingsize bed plus included free wifi. But we did notice walking down the hall we smelled smoke coming from rooms and in the hall in general, even as former smokers did not really like that. The dinner that evening at CKs restaurant was the high point. there was a nice selection of entrees as part of the 3 course meal. We were the last dinner seating of the night at 8:30 for package reservations and they were not ready for us at that time so had to wait in the lounge for about 20 minutes until, a table opened up. There was a decent 70s band playing however so that was nice to pass the time. However that night we discovered the king size bed was terrible for sleeping on. I can pretty much sleep on anything but kept waking up during the night as did my spouse. Our backs and hip ached sunday morning. And going to the hot tub did not make it any better. Also be aware you can not check out via your tv. I tried three times and finally called the front desk and was told the system was not active for that purpose? So the $200 overnight stay which turned into $300 with taxes, tips and alcohol from dinner did not turn into such a bargain after all.We might go back if the beds were better but wont now and cant honestly recommend it.
I have stayed at Quail Hollow 2 times. Would have stayed there at minimum 2 more times. Quail Hollow canceled a group reservation of OVER 40 people for a major athletic event at Spire Institute. Our group reservations had been secured for 5 months. At this point now alternative hotel arrangements are few and far between - Quail Hollow screwed 50 swimmers and 50 families. In terms of staying there in the past the hotel is old and dingy. it needs a good cleaning. The weekday breakfast bar eggs are like rubber. Last year when we stayed there, multiple rooms had no water for multiple times during the day. Do yourself a favor and stay ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE. The hotel staff is clueless. Stay elsewhere
Ann in the lounge is great! I live in the area and used to frequent often for dinner drinks and live music on the weekends. Place has gone downhill. Sign outside in disrepair. Furniture, carpet and decor havent changed in 20 yrs. Outside landscape is a disaster. Gotten to the point where they dont even carry draft beer on tap. Many longterm employees have quit and left. Sad to see.
Overall: not necessarily upset nor pleased about the experience since we got a good deal on Expedia, but it blows my mind that someone would book a wedding here or pay full price for this place as it currently is.We checked in late due to some delays in our travel (check in went great), and really only needed a hotel for the night versus looking for a getaway or planning to play golf. We wanted to play golf but there was zero information on either the hotel or country club website, so there wasn’t any way to get info about tee times or fees online, and we didn’t want to plan to play if it was going to be really expensive. Plus, there weren’t really any specials or packages available. The place itself is outdated and instead of updating or redoing various parts of the property, they just patch wallpaper. The place feels old.Lastly, there aren’t really any amenities that make this place a “resort” aside from the golf course. There are two relatively plain-looking pools, but no spa, no outdoor area really, and just nothing too appealing. They have a small ballroom but the blaring air conditioner noise would ruin a formal occasion there. As I was looking through other reviews, maybe we just missed what was there to see? If that’s the case, I’m not sure how a resort would be so poor to advertise a spa or garden area that my fiancé and I walked around the whole hotel and property just looking around and saw no signs or marketing for it. I do have to say that we enjoyed the lounge, but the live music was just one guy, who was very talented, but not the lounge band you’d expect from a resort.
I was very disappointed! The outside swimming pool had green mold growing on the bottom, rooms were filthy, carpet was not swept! I will not be returning for another stay. This is not the first time I have regretted booking there. Not to mention a very rude employee at the check in counter. There are other hotels in the area I hope to stay in next.
Dont stay here unless you are on a shoestring budget. The TV channels are useless, they charge you for coffee down the lobby, the place is old and outdated. It looks like Beirut on one side of the complex as perhaps theyre trying to redo some rooms? That would be a good idea, the decor in the rooms is right from 1979.
I would say this is one of the most disappointing hotels Ive ever stayed at. Very disorganized front desk crew. Everything is dirty - evelvator, rooms, in room bathrooms and bathrooms by the conference rooms are filthy (toilet paper on the stall walls and ceilings). The resort is also understaffed. Knowing that there was a large group coming in there were not enough servers, bartenders, front desk and maintnece employees.Twice in two days I had ZERO hot water and twice there was no water pressure so no shower until repaired hours later! When notifying the front desk the person only said well investigate and get back to you. Never happened. There was never an offer of an alternative solution, no apology and no discount offered. TV remote not functioning properly. When asked for a new one be brought to the room, the front desk person stated I had to come to the desk and get it. The reason, all of the maintence and housekeeping were too busy!?!Dont even get me started on the food. breakfast buffet - everything over cooked and stale. Bar/Lounge took way too long to be delivered and when it was the orders were lukewarm, wrong and subpar.I would stay far away from this place!
The only reason this place is getting 2 stars is because the pillows were nice and the shower head had good water pressure behind it. The reason its not 5 stars is because i stayed there for 2 complete days for work. My first day there when we got back from doing work stuff they had taken my battery charger out of the room and put it into lost and found because we were on the list to check out we still had another 9 hour work day the next day so we were most definitely NOT checking out. I was not able to retrueve it because the head of house keeping controls the lost and found and she doesnt get there till 7. I was leaving the hotel at 5 and coming back at 9 or 10. I have emailed tried to email someone. I have also filled out an incident report at the hotel and now know one will take my calls. Its only a $40 charger but the fact is why give me some bs about us checking out when we both know we were there for another full day... unprofessional, irresponsible, and thieves
We were greeted by the desk person and given directions to our room upon our arrival.....it was hard to find the right door and we had to drive around to find it. Our room was fine. It had snowed the night we arrived and more in the a.m...no measures to shovel the walkway to our room outside. While there I asked the gal for a brochure of Quail Hollow resort....none to be had, only ones concerning weddings there.???? It seems that would be a given item for sure. When we checked out the gal did not greet me with a good morning, just asked what our room was and number......then no happy travels or Holiday greetings when we left.....or hope to see you again.....not very cordial for a reception area person,The breakfast buffet was alright, but then asking for an omelet from Miss Cynthia was not a good experience as well.....if you have salsa on the table......what about some sour cream to go with it?well I could get you some, and then next someone will ask for some pepper jack cheese and it will not stop......sounds like she has been there too long!I did like the convenience of the location for our destination, but will think twice about going there again. I think there should be some more training of the staff on being cordial......and smile!
It was ok. When I first got there at like 11:30p.m I waited at tee desk for like 20 mins before a old lady came from behind the wall so I could check in! I had to come back to ask for more shampoo because there was 5 of us staying there and omg she like never came back out. Cleaning lady there didnt leave any towels or soap or anything the next đay. Had to go bk up to the desk to ask for more. It seems like a party place, allot of ppl wasnt we staying at the hotel, they just showed up for the bar, got drunk and went home lol.
They left me stranded! I am in the Army and was traveling across country with my pet. I called to ensure they allowed pets and even specified that I had a cat. I accepted the ridiculous $50 pet fee, a long with another ridiculous $150 hold on my card and nade a reservation. 20 minutes out from the hotel I was called back and told they would not allow me to stay with a cat. That the supervisor was now insisting this was part of the policy, even though it is not specified anywhere! And then the supervisor would not even talk to me about it.There were no other hotels in the area that would allow pets. As any owner knows, it can be a severe pain to find a hotel at the last minute for your pets. I have never been treated this way! And all I got was a too bad, we just say no cats today. Not okay. Severely disappointed and have to add an hour to my trip to find another place to stay.Way to support your military customers.
Hotel staff is completely incompetent from the desk clerk to the manager Stacy. Tried to book a clc booking and the front desk was dumb founded as to what a clc booking was. Talked with manager Stacy to have her call my office to set tge reservation up and she never did. I called her back and was placed on hold to talk to her for over 20min. I just decided to find another hotel..very poor customer service
When our parents were alive we enjoyed Thanksgiving brunch here every year. We would rent rooms for the night - the adults and kids would enjoy swimming, ping pong and games in a complimentary meeting room equipped with TV, tables, chairs, fridge and restroom. We attempted to revive the old tradition this year. However, the ping pong tables are gone, the decor is becoming antiquated and dirty and they were out of many of the brunch menu items while just as many were not even warm. It is time for a renovation.
Quiet Quail Hollow. Nice place. Convenient, clean, cost efficient, quiet and courteous. Had many features that we were not able to take advantage of. Golf course, steak house, lounge, conference center, fitness center, pool and more. Slightly disappointed that the Bronze Bear Bar closed so early.
We were disappointed in the Quail Hollow Resort. Ive stayed in hotels for over 40 years, but this was the first time my room was not made up after our first night. When I called the front desk, they asked did you have your Do Not Disturb sign up? Not after 9:30 a.m.Although their TV listing included HBO and HBO2, we could not watch. Those channels were scrambled; a maintenance man could not correct the problem. The front desk told me they were having problems with their service provider.I cant blame the hotel for the 100+ kids staying there that weekend, We had to pass on a quiet dip in the whirlpool since the pool and whirlpool were crowded with very noisy adolescents.
No ac in a very hot room. Everyone was complaining not having ac. Saying it was run down is a complement. This place was a disaster. What was once a nice resort is now extremely poor condition. This place needs shut down. Are there no building inspectors in painsville ohio. Black mold is illegal.
Screen was ripped up the side on the sliding door.Black junk bubbled up from drain while taking a shower.Chair in room had burn holes and the seat was broken.I showed pictures to a friend who worked there in 1979 and he said its the same furniture.I asked for the Hotel manager/owner to call me... I got crickets!
In high need of an update and remodel, but room ok, if not a little overpriced considering the over all condition of the common areas. Can someone take a little time with the weeds growing up out of control in the back flower beds.Ok, noted that many areas are being updated, so a little time and effort, this could be a great place again.
Only can give one as zero is unavailable, my mother is turning over in her grave! I can not believe that this property has fallen to the realm of inappropriatens. Landscaping is atrocious on the back towards the golf course, only Julie Drury, Ann P. and Gina M . care about the people who are staying there. The menus have changed, you can only get food from 6:30 am to 10:00am Monday thru Friday the menus on the room are WRONG!!!! WE WENT DOWN AT 9:15AM THIS MORNING TO ORDER THE 9.00 EGGS BENEDICT ONLY TO BE TOLD THE BACON AND HAM ARE FROZEN AND IT WILL TAKE A REALLY LONG TIME??????? REALLY??? The food service truck was there at 7:00am when I was walking my dog!!!!!! OK MANAGEMENT WHAT CAN YOU DO TO CORRECT THE BULL?????; I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE QUAIL I ONCE NEW !
We had our wedding mid July at quail.. i can express how great they were!! Words dont Express enough.. julie was the best..jenny was awesome.. she made sure it was all set up correctly! The price was great you really can not beat it.. i shopped around!! Everybody was awesome!
Was concerned that the pool wasnt safe. Alge and mold growing on walls and ceiling. Mgr. Seemed to not care and told me a week prior ceiling fell in jacuzzi tub, to much moisture and thats the cause for tarp on ceiling. Waiting on a part to come in so they can fix problem🙄
I Recently had dinner at CKs restaurant and I must say that it was the worst experience that I have had in a Restaurant as far as the service standard goes in recent memory. We called in the late afternoon to make an evening dinner reservation and we were were told that we could not get in until 8pm only to arrive to a restaurant that was maybe 1/4 full. Our server approached us for drinks and appetizers without ever introducing us with her name and seemed to be turned off at our choice to drink water but being that one of us is pregnant and the other driving the choice seemed logical to me (neither of us drink pop by the way). The food was ok one of us had the 9oz filet mignon and the other Ahi Tuna. Im using my fifteen years worth of restaurant experience as my guage for judging the food as Ive worked in a Fresh Seafood House where fish were delivered to us whole on a daily basis and Steak Houses that cut fresh steaks daily. After she took our order we didnt see her again until we were done and she offered us desert. My roasted potatoes were over done and I did not eat them and I would have loved to have had something different but being that after our food was delivered no-one ever came back to our table to do a quality check to see if there was anything that we needed or if the quality of the food was ok I never got that opportunity. When one of us did need a refill we had to flash down another waitress to ask and she responded by saying yeah. It takes a lot to make me want to complain but this experience made me do just that. Chris the manger was very nice and attentive and after hearing about our experience refunded the money for our meal which was a very nice gesture and not one that I expected but for the sake of the restaurant could have been avoided even if he was one of the people that we saw on the dining room floor of the restaurant during our hour long meal. I feel like the employees should take more pride in their jobs and approach them with more of a proactive over reactive attitude.Thank you,Tito Bufford
Seriously outdated. Staff uniforms not very professional looking. Needs a make over and staff needs training on service techniques and procedures. Was shocked at how low grade this is, not what I remember growing up. It used to be the Crown Jewel, now it looks, feels, and staffed by what looks like Motel 6 staff. Very disappointing.
My son and now daughter-in-law got married at Quail on August 11, 2018. Unfortunaley, Nicole, the Maitre D text the father of the groom and said the cake had collapsed when she took the lid off the box. Nicole tried to restack the cake so the bride and groom could at least get a photo of the cake cutting. I immediatly found Nicole to see what I could do to help. I couldnt believe what I saw. I made sure the cake was still cool to the touch, and it was. Nicole stated that she had never seen anything like this and she was willing to speak to Kelsey Elizabeth Cakes in Rocky River to support the fact that the cake was taken care of correctly. I spoke to KE Cakes and she blamed Quail Hollows $10.00 employees on destroying the cake. (her words, not mine). I asked Kelsey if she wanted to speak to Quail and she said No, that wont be necessary. Kelsey agreed to refund me back 1/2 the price of the cake and said Quail should refund the other half. Kelsey then called Quail and spoke to Julie Drury, Senior Catering Manager. Julie proceeded to tell Kelsey that her Maitre D told her that the Father of the groom tripped and fell with the cake in his hand. (100% inaccurate information) Kelsey then retracted her refund to me. Julie received a phone call from a member of the Quail Hollow Country Club and Julie realized that she had received incorrect information from Nicole and in fact Julie wasnt even at the venue that day. Julie tried to recant her statement to KE cakes and asked her to reconsider refunding me for the cake. (of which I still havent received)I have never dealt with two more unprofessional women in my life.1) Kelsey Elizabeth Cakes for not taking responsibility for her poor cake construction.2) Julie Drury for speaking out of turn with incorrect information on a subject she knew nothing about and wasnt even present at the venue. Therefore, revoking my refund.Same on both of you.The only 2 innocent people in this cake nightmare are Jordan and Caitlyn who unfortunately now have a horrible wedding photo of a horrible cake.Maybe Julie should refund my $145.00, then maybe she will think twice before she speaks.Kim ThompsonMother of the Groom
Booked our wedding at Quail. Staff was extremely attentive, food was delicious and the banquet room was perfect. The suite was included with the event and was excellent considering the occasion. Quail was about 30% less expensive than the other local venues we shopped and delivered more than we could have imagined. We would recommend this to anyone looking.
VIOLATION! This place should not be opened; the bathroom in the room have no ventilation. In other words, the vent in the bathroom which is supposed to be sucking air out is not working. Usually you put a napkin and you can see the suction. Not this place. There are black dots all around the vent meaning mold and bacteria throughout.
My fiancée and I went to Quail Hollow to scope it out for a potential reception location. Rebekah, the young lady who assisted us, was phenomenal. She was attentive and helpful, and listened to our needs and concerns and helped us try to hone in on potential options that are budget friendly.
An hour before our check in after a 9 hour drive they cancelled our reservation that we made about 6 weeks ago. We were told it was a maintenance issue and we were the last ones to book for that date. Hmmm... 2 other couples we know just made their reservations 3 days ago. Should have read the many bad reviews before booking.
Don’t be misguided by the name. It is NOT an resort. The golf course next door is NOT part of the property. So this is a usual hotel with pool and a restaurant. We booked thru Expedia, and the booking record shows check in time 3 pm. We arrived early afternoon and see if a room could be available by then, and was told by front desk their check in time is 4 pm. When we returned to the hotel later, there is a line with a dozen people/group waiting for check in and there is only one staff doing it, and she’s not shouting for help. There’s a large stain mark on one of the sofa in the lobby. Cause you want to find somewhere else to sit. When finally get into our room, found a wig in the drawer of the chest, apparently left by prior guest - an unpleasant surprise. The staff was chatting in the hallway and simply ignoring you passing by. Not recommending this place.

2020-10-09Look it was our anniversary and we told them that. Later ... That day when we got back there there was chocolate strawberry 🍓 🤩 and bottle of wine also a very nice card . I couldnt believe how nice the staff and everyone was. The room was big , the bed was so comfortable and most important for me it feel like home. Usually its uncomfortable this was the best hotel stay ever. Thank you all who made this a wonderful day and stay. Five stars plus hotel love Dan and Anne.

2020-07-22The room was nice. The breakfast cooks were good. Unfortunately the service was not good. I checked in to stay 9 nights mainly to play at the Hunt Club Golf Courses and I had room service ONE TIME in seven nights. I had to ask for toilet paper, not once but twice. I’d give them a break with Covid but once, once in eight days. That’s poor management of staff and expectations. The hotel needs to massively step up if they want to be associated with the Hunt Club and the golf courses. It’s like night and day being there versus the hotel in terms of service. The front desk receptionist was great but my goodness do they need to step up the room service. My advice, get rid of most of your staff and start over.

2020-09-19I can not say enough good things about the staff here. Donna and Stacy make this place what it is. They made our stay there amazing and made us feel like we were special not just another check in and check out. I recommend Quail Hallow to everyone if youre looking for that something special weekend or just need to get away for the night. I dont have enough good words to explain how they treated us and made us feel. I will be back soon if for nothing else to be greeted by Donnas warm smile and hospitality she makes you feel like you have known her for years and as soon as you meet Stacy she will make you feel right at home. Thank you both so much for a memorable stay and we cant wait to see you again, soon!!

2020-12-16The staff is great. The grounds are beautiful. A short walk to a great restaurant is next door. Red Hawk Grille. I wouldnt consider this a resort but we love it. Cant wait for the indoor pool to reopen. We drive from Canton just to swim.

2020-07-27Awful. Reserved room for softball tournament. Entire team planned to stay there. My husband is one of the coaches & my oldest daughter is in the team. Check in at 2. Nope nothing was cleaned in ready for a couple hours. Played games in 90+ heat. Everyone exhausted. Could not wait to get to our room. After 10 pm go to check in and front desk said they had our reservation but there were no rooms available!!! 8 yr old is bawling I’m fuming. I initially start crying because we can’t even imagine driving anywhere else at that point. We were already told that all hotels were booked. I begged them to figure something out. We reserved a room. They continued to tell us to look elsewhere. Now my husband and I are both upset!! And why wouldn’t we be. Manager said she would call the cops. Once other members of our team started coming out miraculously they had a king bed room!!! Told us there was nothing. We brought our stuff into room. 1 daughter in bed and other in shower. We had to be up at 5 am next day for tournament. I went to ask manager to bring us a cot and blankets. She said “ why don’t you go somewhere else”. So I go to my car & tried to get ahold of customer service but by now it’s after 11. When I went back into Quail Hollow the front desk tells me that we can now have a double queen handicapped room ( we originally booked a doublequeen room). So after everything they put us through- all of my tears begging for a room- losing an hour more of sleep- my kids that were so excited now so upset thinking their weekend was over. Now there are amazingly 2 rooms available!!!! No offer to compensate us. No apologies. Nothing. Manager was horrible to us. Like it was our fault for being so upset. We had reservations for weeks. If they would had offered those 2 rooms when we checked in there would have been no problems. Why did they do this to us? Ruined our wholeweekend. Not to mention sheets were grossly stained & ripped (I have pictures) no working ice machines. Old coffee bag in coffee maker. No remote for tv. And more. Worst hotel experience we have ever had. How can this be called a resort???I will continue to share this experience until someone makes this right. More like a Jack Nicholson movie than a fun weekend getaway. Does not deserve 1 star but wouldn’t let me give 0 stars.

2017-03-18The lobby is very nice and kept up. The person at the service desk checked us in very quickly. When we got to our room, it smelled pretty clean. The appearance was good, definitely presentable and kept up. I unpacked and headed for the sauna and the pool, which was located just around the corner form my room (pretty lucky if you ask me!). The pool area was clean, with warm water in a big pool, and a nice hot tub in the back of the pool. Also, very nice. Only complaint there was the amount of gum stuck to the rock wall, just a couple pieces but they shouldnt have been there. Then the sauna was excellent, its a sauna. Everything you could expect out of it with no complications. We ate at the restaurant up top, CKS restaurant I believe. Our server was Lisa and it was amazing service. Prompt, kind, gave info about some wine pairing, and was a pleasure to talk to. The food came out great, no complaints about service or quality of food since it was all top notch. The rest of my stay was great. No problems with anything or anybody, and was a good time. Id definitely stay here again.

2018-08-23I have no experience with the rooms we are fitness members. The lobby is beautiful and very well maintained. The outdoor pool is beautiful but a little too refreshing for small children. I do wish they would maintain a slightly higher temperature. Its not cold but if it were 3 to 5 degrees warmer I think my little one would last two to three times longer before going to the indoor pool. The indoor pool is maintained at a very nice temperature. My little ones have never gotten cold in this water. My kids usually start off outside after about 20 minutes they go into the indoor pool and warm up. Overall I would highly recommend this facility.

2020-01-13Went here for New Years Eve. Its a nice hotel the bed was really comfortable, the room and bathroom were really clean. But the bar tender in the lounge was the worse. She was the most rude, obnoxious, uncouth and impolite person I have ever come across. She even told me the kitchen was closed when I tried to order food. Thank goodness for the young man who was working there with her, he was nice enough to bring me a slice of cake. About an hour later the cook happened to come from the kitchen and say the kitchen had just closed.

2018-10-13The pool is very nice. The rooms are spacious. The beds were pretty comfortable, but they could use better pillows. Everyone who worked there was very friendly. The place is a little dated, but we would probably stay again.
