I love Put in Bay, Ive been there quite a few times and have always had a blast. Great food, awesome atmosphere, my favorite bars/food are The Keys and Soup and Whiskey! Last time I visited I went to all the state parks. Ive stayed in town and on the outskirts, there are pros and cons of both, all awesome with friendly staff. I LOVE the taxi service, all the drivers are friendly and provide fast service, cant beat anywhere on the island for $3! There are also cheap daily cart rentals, if you dont need one for the entire stay.
Put-in-Bay is a great place to visit! Whether you go up for the day, or stay for a week or weekend. It has wonderful options for a family or for friends. It is amazing how you are able to cover the whole island in a short period of time, but there are still so many things to do there! I have never had a bad time at Put-in-Bay!
Put-in-Bay is such a special place, and I have so many good memories through out my years of visiting. There is something to do for everyone, wether you’d like to relax and take in the views of Lake Erie on a golf cart or boat, or let loose at one of the several bars or pools on the island. It is somewhere I look forward to visiting every single year!
I’ve visited Put-in-Bay several times and always had a blast! There are many restaurants to choose from and many shops to visit! It’s an easy trip from Downtown Sandusky or Port Clinton! Hop the boat, rent a golf cart, and explore away!
My husband and I visited Put In Bay a couple of years ago. We had a great time. The food at the restaurants was fabulous. We enjoyed riding around with the rented golf cart. We are planning to visit PIB very soon.
My wife and I have visited the island many times, our first visit being our honeymoon many years ago. The island has something for everyone....that laid back island vibe, a happening nightlife, parks, caves, adventures for kids, and kids at heart. Its one of my favorite places around, if youve never been, or its been a while....just go!
We have been to Put-In-Bay many times and we always find something different to love. Staying at the resort for a girls weekend to enjoy the pool and the swim-up bar, renting a golf cart and visiting the winery probably tops the list. We also loved kayaking out by the other little island there. The live music at night and the island vibe at The Sand Bar, and Mist were also great fun! No visit is complete without a drink at Frostys or seafood bisque at The Boardwalk. I cant wait to visit again soon!
I visited with my two younger children and we had lots of fun! There are a lot of great places to eat, great pools, and everyone is super friendly. I had an incident where I Left my purse in the golf cart that we rented and the staff there went above and beyond to locate my purse and make sure I got it back! I cant say enough good things about this little island!
Put-in-Bay is a blast!!! So much fun without the long drive or flight. Love the planned activities and theme parties! Great live music and LOVE the swim-up bar. It’s a great party every time. Highly recommend!!
I love this place I come every year with family and friends. This is a nice relaxing place to come to for a lot of fun and a little relaxing because there is so much to do and see.
While I havent been there in a few years now, I grew up visiting the island every summer and some of my best memories come from that time. I plan to get back down there this summer and see whats new, and explore some of my favorite places again.
Day trip or spend the weekend. Tons of restaurant choices and places to grab a beer. Grab a golf cart and explore. The 5K @ put-n-bay is a September tradition for our family.
Put-In-Bay is always a great time, whether you make the drive by car or complete the voyage by boat. It is like its own little world with fun golf carts, the great bar scene or the off-the-beaten path houses. You are sure to have fun regardless of what type of getaway you are looking for. A good time to be had by adults and kids alike. Definitely a place worth checking out.
The island is absolutely beautiful with many things to do for both kids and adults alike. I had a great time and can’t wait to visit again. Lots of restaurants and shopping available,and I enjoyed learning about the islands history when I visited Perry’s monument.
Paradise on the North Coast. Have been coming to Put-in-bay since vacationing with my family in the 1960s. It has maintained its unique charm and is a treasure to visit for all ages.
We love Put In Bay! There is so much to do, and something for everyone. We love the golf carts and the happy atmosphere there!
My visit to Put-in-Bay was enjoyable. The Island is full of history including the Perrys Victory Peace Memorial.A variety of transportation is available once you get off the ferry on the far side of the island including bike rentals, golf cart rentals, and a shuttle bus to the recreational portion of the island.I highly recommending Perrys Cave and fun center. This location is well-maintained and plenty of room for standing. For the more adventurous visitors, Put-in-Bay offers Parasailing and Kayaking.The Boardwalk is known for partying and spring break. The boardwalk offers a variety of locally-owned restaurants and shops for a taste of local cuisine.
We have been to the Island twice, both times we have stayed with the Put in Bay Resort, great place to stay, staff is very Friendly and Helpful for any question you might have, beds are clean and comfy. Pool is very fun as they have a swim up bar and many times a DJ with different contests that are fun to watch or participate in. The island Itself offers many different kinds of things to do for the Young and the Old. There are of course, Crystal Caves, Wineries, the Butterfly House, The Museum, Aquatic Visitor Center, which tells you a lot about the water life and life on the Island. Just to drive around the Island on a Golf Cart is relaxing and educational. You could even Camp on the Island in your own accommodations or in a rental cabin. From the DeRivera Park, to The Butterfly House, the Marina, by the way The Best Lobster Bisque in Ohio or maybe even in America, Drinking a Cold Brew at the Longest Bar or Listening to a Story teller or Band at theSandbar, the Weather is always Beautiful on the Island and once you leave, you cant wait until you go back.
Put-in-Bay is a must visit in the summer in Ohio. The golf carts, restaurants, shopping, and bars are always a great time!
I absolutely Love this place! It is the go to summer spot. Since I have been, I have put my whole family down with put-in-bay.
So much fun! Wont believe you are in Ohio as the vibe is completely different- a relaxed, island escape and fun for everyone. A nice getaway for a day trip or weekend.
So many fun things to do! My favorite would have to be Put-in-Bay Mardi Gras Weekend May 7th & 8th. I will never make it to the real one, but Put-in-Bay is easy .
Fun time! Went with my spouse and sister for a surprise bday get away! Enjoyed venturing around the island and eating.

The ONLY unfortunate part of writing a review for Put-in-Bay is that I am limited to only 5 stars.. I live in Buffalo and gladly make the drive down there for amazing times and memories with my wife, children and friends. Looking forward to many more memories to be made. Whether it is day time or nightlife activities, this is a trip NO ONE would ever regret!!!
Put-in-Bay was the perfect spot for a Bachelorette Party! So much to do on the island during the day from the winery to shopping, to checking out all the history on the island. Of course the nightlife is like no other with fantastic restaurants, and several options from live bands to the club feel with DJs. The Island is a wonderful Gem!
It has been a family tradition for me for over 40 yrs. There is so much to do no matter if ur single or if u have a family. The island feels so tropical, you really dont feel like ur in ohio. Now that most of my kids are grown they go with there friends and family.

2021-04-07Big bay beautiful full of shops and restaurants. Very touristic, you need to have a car if you don’t want to walk a lot or you can rent a bike or other means of transportation. Beautiful place for a full family with lots of things to do. You go there by ferry I would recommend to take your car it would make your life easier and cheaper.

2021-04-22For over a decade now we travel to Put in Bay every summer for a family getaway and have always had a great time. There is plenty to do on the island both day and night. Several excellent restaurants and drinking establishments to choose from. The only thing is if you plan on going on a weekend or holiday, plan ahead and make reservations, especially if you want to rent a golf cart or stay overnight.

2021-04-12What a neat place to get away! Hard to believe that it’s in Ohio. Our family had such a good time, we went parasailing, and went to the lighthouse, did some putt putting, and I did some wine tasting and looked at the geode cave. I’d love to come back on a girls weekend!!

2021-04-22Put-in-Bay - A great place to visit to enjoy with family and friends. There is much to do whether you are there for the day or possibly even the week. It has many different things to do whether you are with your family or maybe even a well deserved girls (or guys) trip. The food is great, the bars have great entertainment, and there is a lot of history to see while there.
