I have always been able to find quality firearms and accessories at Pro Armament. The people there are knowledgeable too. I have found their prices and selection to be amongst the best in NE Ohio. The have a great mix of old collectible, modern, and class3 stuff. They will assist with the class3 process too. I enthusiastically recommend them.
This place has poor customer service. The prices are outrageous, supplies are disorganized and minimal assistance. The employees seem presumptuous and judgmental. I’ve been to other firearm stores and felt very comfortable but here is just not it. I guarantee you’re better off looking for another local firearm store where the workers will actually speak. How does it look when there are 6 workers behind the counter and not a single one can offer to help. Choose your time wisely and don’t go here.
They are OK. Pretty overpriced. I wanted to make them my main store because they are so close but I have had too many bad experiences. I have had a few good ones too it just depends on who is helping you. One guy is extremely rude and a few others are just awkward. Could def use a refresher on customer service. They were pretty rude to a few of my friends I brought there as new gun owners. Overall not bad but there is a lot of room to improve. Just because it is a sellers market does not mean it will always be that way. Treat your customers like you would want to be treated.
Love pro armament. The guys here are extremely knowledgeable. They may come off as tough guys but they’re really just cuddly teddy bears. Don’t be afraid to ask questions or ask for help. Jay and Drew are my personal go to guys. Tom the RSO is also another Standup guy. I don’t shoot during the day because dale is just a sour grape. I recommend this place to everyone including my grandmother.
The staff was snotty and rude. Someone I assume was the owner approached me while he was on the phone, eyeballed me, and didn’t return my greeting. After waiting around for several minutes, a clerk reluctantly sold me a single box of overpriced ammunition.0/7 will not return.Every other person I’ve spoken to who has been there has had a similar experience. Don’t waste your time.
The guys that work at pro armament are the best! They are extremely knowledgeable when it comes to firearms, ammunition and accessories. I have a lot of respect for them in the fact that they dont sell junk brands. They only sell quality stuff that they are not afraid to put their name on and that they would trust their familys lives with. I have been shopping at this gun shop for literally 20 years. Shout out to Jeremy and Drew, these guys go above and beyond to help you out to make sure you have a full understanding of your firearm and what your purchasing and will do whatever they can to help you locate it what you want.
Place is full of boomers who think they are tough as $hit scoffing at all the young casuals that come in. They make you feel uncomfortable and stare you down with the stink eye until you start dropping cash. Don’t ask to look at anything without buying it because they act like they are too good to get out guns. AND just recently they’ve removed themselves as a FFL dealer to ship guns to . because they are THAT greedy and too good to deal with guns less than 500$
Everytime I enter shop greeted with nothing but smug workers and awkward stares. Dont spend your time or money at a place that doesnt truly care about your business! This shop will always be around regardless if civilians are shopping because of all the police business. If they dont want civilian business they should just become a private shop.
I dont get these negative reviews. This is a great place with very competitive pricing and I have yet to deal with one of these rude staff members people are complaining about. They have a great selection of high quality firearms and accessories and Ive never been to a gun store with a nicer stock of 1911s. Everyone I have dealt with there has been very helpful and knowledgeable. I walked out of there today, once again, a very happy customer. They will be getting my business in the future.
Never met such a condescending gun dealer. I mistook a Colt king cobra for a Python and was corrected. No biggie. So just to make polite conversation is asked what the difference was. “Totally different gun” he responded. Oh. So now I know, and can pass along that knowledge.I walked in to spend money. Had some ammo, needed another clip, and was eying an HK in the cabinet. So at that point I took two of the three boxes of ammo and put them back on the shelf. Abandoned shopping any further. Only reason I bought the one was it was the last box of 9 they had. But I won’t be back to visit the rude fat man for any of my other needs. In the end, I got plenty of guns and ammo...was just trying to support a local business. But I’ll go somewhere else now because after reading the reviews, they’re jerks to just about every other person that walks through the door.
An older man, I believe it was the owner, rushed me through the store and was short with me. felt that he was being rude. To make matters worse he kept trying to stare at me while in line. I didnt appreciate that and wont be back. There are plenty of great gun shops, this is not one of them, I unfortunately went out of my way to check this place out.
Ive been here a few times and each time made me wonder why I even walked in. There are a few other reviews on here that mentioned how rude and unfriendly the staff are. Well from my experience, I can definitely agree! They showed me some rifles and accessories, but instead of talking about the items or giving professional recomendations, they just stared at me...blankly and didnt say a single word. I mean maybe I expected too much from them, but other gun stores I have been to, the associates really take their time to explain everything, and help compare other rifles or gear and most of all do it while being professional.Bottom line go somewhere else if you want a better experience, and dont want to feel like your time was wasted. Also, this shop is overpriced. There are better gun shops in Akron and surrounding areas. Some are veteran owned and operated, with friendlier and more knowledgeable staff, and better prices.
I stopped in yesterday. This was my first time in. There were about 6 or 7 people behind the counters BSing. Maybe 3 customers. Not one person asked if I needed assistance. I had no clue where anything was. I asked one where I could find a cleaning rod for my shotgun. He said they are on the wall. If you cant find one I dont have any. No assistance there. Could not find one. I.will not be back.
I been going to gun shops for years. The first time in there and it was great. They made me feel like I was a valuable customer. An amazing group of guys with a lot of knowledge. Great selection of guns some Ive never seen in other stores,if your a 1911 guy they got amazing choices. I brought my son in for his first handgun and Matt Harman really help us out, his experience with the gun I wanted was invaluable to me thanks to everyone there for a good time. We give them 4 👍up!! Last thing I noticed there price were very competitive if not better than most places Ive been, and they didnt try and push me towards something more expensive that I didnt need. Dont leave empty handed at least buy one of there shirts, I personally like the green one, my son like the black.
My friend bought a membership here and I am considering one as well after my interactions with staff. All of the staff I dealt with here were awesome; very knowledgeable and helpful when asking about different types of weapons to try out (or rent, if you have a membership)The range is a bit small (off the top of my head its 7 lanes total) but everything works fine.
The shop is nicely stocked with plenty of firearms of all kinds. Their prices as others have noted are fairly high. I have gone in a few times and have looked around at different firearms and no one will approach me to ask if I need help looking at one or what I’m looking for. Also, my girlfriend bought her first gun and had it shipped to them as an FFL and she is out of state resident and was not aware of the in state purchase requirement for handguns. As a first time gun buyer, she was treated as this should have been common sense. She contacted the manager after to explain her poor experience and he did apologize. All in all, large selection, but poor staff.
This place is a great to go purchases a firearm and they offer classes as well to new people how to use a firearm. My friend from work took the class and said it was great for a new beginner. The staff is friendly and will answer questions about firearms. If they tell you dont purchase a certain firearm its for a good reason. Example was the sig p227 was going to purchase one in the future. The staff said nothing but problems. I trust them when telling me what a great firearm is to purchase.Side note CCW class I took back in 2008 was awesome instructor and referred some friends to take the course. The firearms they sell are all outstanding and they dont sell junk ones. Stop in and make a purchases when you are ready.
Just purchased a gun for myself and my mother yesterday. The M&P M2.0, did a little research and i received a wonderful deal on that weapon. It also came with 5 mags and 15% off a holster. Derek was very friendly and welcoming to all of our questions. Would recommend seeing him at this establishment. My mother and I couldnt be happier with our purchases.
Called after work looking for ammo. They say Sure, weve got plenty- one box per customer! Head on over, 13 minutes drive (in the opposite direction of home). Walk in the door, Sorry, JUST sold the last box. I know theres a shortage, but why lie? If you only have two boxes, say that! The reason I call is BECAUSE no one has it! Thanks for nothing. By the way, that $25.00 for ammo would probably turned into $50 - $75 in sales from the floor, if not more.
I recently purchased a new 1911 here. I was being exceptionally picky and probably enough to drive most sales guys nuts. However I wasnt going to buy just anything and I am somewhat of a 1911 connoisseur so I know what I am looking at. I looked at several pistols before I came to my decision. The guy that helped me was exceptionally patient and very helpful. They might be expensive on some things but if the service is like I experienced its worth it. I would highly recommend them to anyone.Update: May 21, 2017Because of the great experience with the sales staff I decided to get a membership with the range. I tried to be nice but the guy working it really needs to not be so cranky with people. Came back a week after getting the membership to shoot with my wife. Now I usually shoot over 100 rounds per range session easy probably closer to 200, I didnt even shoot 100 this time. Left feeling sick and dizzy and with a migraine. The echo in this range is way over the top, ventilation is horrible (worst I have experienced). Love the store, hate the range. $150 wasted!! I will not return to shoot at this place.
This is the only shop I’ll go. They have everything you will need. The prices are very reasonable because of what products they carry and specialize in. This shop focuses on higher end and higher quality firearms. The staff are as knowledgeable as anyone in the business. They are absolutely concerned with you and your needs and offer you the best quality solutions. I highly recommend you stop in even to just browse. You won’t be disappointed.
Do not recommend this place at all. They are very overpriced for starters. On top of that, they constantly try to up sell you on everything. The worst part about this place is that they constantly stare you down like your about to steal something. I have been here a few times, and it has been the same thing each time. I have not been treated like this at any other gun shop. Would literally go to any other gun shop before here.
I’ve been to their range twice (a couple friends have memberships) and it is very nice and kept up. The shop itself always seems to be stocked up with plenty of items. However, the staff is horrendous. I have never met a group of people that unfriendly in my entire life. If you want a great experience with a friendly staff, check out the Armory in Canal Fulton.
I cannot believe some of the one star comments I have read. The people who write things like that SHOULD stay away from this place. The last 6 months i have been going to Pro armament, I have found the best stocked store ,with some of the most knowledgable people, who really know about the weapons they sell. The staff are real pros at what they do. I have found them to be cautious, respectful, professional and friendly, (in that order). In my opinion, you cannot run a gun store any other way. Once you get to know the whole staff, friendly jumps to the top of the list. I would recommend pro armament to anyone looking for one of the best selection of firearms I have ever seen.Kirk Prochaska
Like a lot of other people have said, the people that work here are rude. It’s actually even a little beyond rude, the staff borderline acts like they’re mad that you even walked in the door. I think they think that just because they’re one of the only few ranges around they can act rude and aggressive. Were it not for firearms sales, everyone that works there would probably unemployed
Cant say enough nice things about my experience at Pro Armament. Purchased first firearm there after visiting at least four times. Don very patiently and thoroughly educated me about the various features of the firearms I was interested in and made extremely helpful suggestions that helped guide my selection. Also, they have a range as part of the store which made it possible to actually shoot almost all of the firearms I was considering. Don was extremely low pressure and was happy to spend time with me as I tire kicked. Great folks, great facility, and competitive prices.
After recent renovations to the range I feel like it is now time to leave a review. The new lane dividers and tables are a huge improvement to what used to be there! This is what I was expecting when it first went to members only so I was skeptical to renew. With all that being said, if there was a little more lighting it would be perfect but other than that I have nothing negative to say. The guys at the counter have always been friendly to me and have never made me feel like I knew nothing at all. I cant wait to go back to shoot this weekend!
Ive shot here for over a year and bought a few guns Im also a member at the new range,Staff is helpful people complaining about the older staff obviously dont have much life experience older guys dont have time for youre bullshit get too the point of why youre there and you will have a nice salesman. They have the best selection of handguns in Akron they sell ZERO JUNK there is nothing from highpoint, taurus or the like in this place I wish they had more rifles in stock though. As far as being a member for the range 150$ for six months isnt bad at all if you shoot at least once a month plus with membership it weeds out all the dumb asses we all have seen at the range,Ive shot twice a month since becoming a member and every other member Ive met isnt a person I wouldnt want owning a firearm which is very rare for me to say.most of the bad reviews are probably the soft type this is a guys gun spot not a safe space toughen up snowflakes.
I have accidentally found this place online. Small place but plenty of choice of guns. I have walked in got what I needed. Quick and clean. Will buy again definitely from them. As someone said they are not super talk and I prefer that. If you have question one of guys will get you answer. Do your research know what you want and you will have happy experience at this please.
Just spent quite a bit of time here asking quite a few questions. The staff was knowledgeable, helpful and very willing to engage. In no time at all I made my decision and the purchase was processed. I actually came back the next day to make another purchase and the day after that with a friend who experienced the same level of service I did. Over the course of hours I spent at the store the staff and I engaged in some conversation unrelated to my purchase as well. Without fail theyd engage with any customer that had a question effectively putting our conversation on hold until they could assist that person. I can honestly say I never saw rude behavior and the staff there placed a priority on assisting folks in whatever way they could.
I cant tell you the last time I ever posted a review. But, the customer service here was terrible. I had been in here a few weeks prior and they were the same way. Thought I would give them another chance (people do have bad days). But, I can honestly say, I will never walk foot in that place again. Its exactly what other viewers have said. We were there to spend money, buy a gun, ammo and shoot. I am a very observant person and I watched how people would come in there in a good mood (obviously to shoot or purchase). Customers were being friendly, trying to joke around with one particular employee behind the counter only to have their mood stepped on by the inconsiderate and disrespectful employee. I couldnt believe what I was seeing. Finally I said to him, well someone is in a great mood today. He did not reply. Now mind you, I was in line to shoot. To show me he cut off the time to shoot right before I went. Well let me tell you this Mr. disrespectful employee, if you dont like your job, go somewhere else. And, the last laugh will be from me because I will never be back and I will extend my unhappiness with your company to anyone who will listen. Your employees could take some lessons from the employees at Stonewall. Wow, what a difference, they were so very helpful and nice. Why would I go anywhere else than where I am treated with respect?
The place was awesome and they had a good selection of guns and gun accessories. My only gripe with the place is the customer service. Why is it that my girl and I are checking this place out for the first time and the younger, bald gentlemen who was behind the counter had to stare and give us dirty looks the entire time we are in there?! As if we were doing something wrong when we were simply checking the place out. I will take my business elsewhere.
Stopped in this shop to look at a few pistols. The folks behind the counter acted like the guns were gold and my business was not worth their time. Did not want to answer any questions and I was looking to buy 2 firearms. I would have thought when you plan to spend around $1500, it would gain a little respect, but no. I ended up at “The Fin”, bought the guns there from a staff that was very helpful and RESPECTFUL. Another review indicated this place driving business away. I advised 3 others against this place and all three bought elsewhere. Maybe they dont care their rudeness probably cost them an additional $3000 or so in sales. Bass Pro is moving in just up the road, so they better learn how to treat customers. I considered calling a manager, but after seeing many of the reviews, this must be the type of place and staff they want.
I own a local auction company and recently got my FFL for the purpose of auctioning off firearms. The rules and regulations are quite extensive. Jeremy (the owner) bought several guns off of me and answered many of the questions that I had. I was so impressed with his commitment to help me that I went over and bought all kinds of stuff. Their staff helped me find a great concealed carry gun, taught me how to clean it, and hooked me up with an awesome holster. These guys are top notch and they know what theyre talking about. I saw a couple of reviews of them being rude. My experience was the complete opposite. They were helpful and more than willing to go above and beyond. My recommendation for new customers is to ask questions. They WILL help you and guide you in the right direction. And on top of that they have a nice range. You cant beat it. I will be a customer for life.
Felt compelled to write a review after seeing all the negative ones. I stopped in about a month ago to check out a few handguns, wasnt ready to buy just getting a feel for them. The two guys behind the counter were both helpful and showed me a few different guns. Never once thought they were rude. The line for the range was pretty long so I didnt check that out, but they did have a good selection of rentals available. It was a nice store, Id definitely go back.
I walked in greeted by Steve and he shared an incredible amount of info. I was looking for an AR and he was down to earth and informative. I bought an optic to the newly purchased AR and there was a glitch on a different optic i thought i bought. He said come back and he made it right. I will buy again and again. Steve was awesome!!
Everybody was very kind to me though I am somewhat of a first timer. They were nice on the phone when I called, in store and answered everyone of my questions quickly and politely (for the most part) I can totally see why these people say this they are strict if you act like a moron or like you havent the slightest idea of what youre talking about but , for the most part like I said went well. Great product, large variety of amazing firearms of all types. I reccomend this place highly to anyone.
Ive been going here probably a couple dozen times or so to the shooting range and also buying a few cleaning products. Due to a few reviews, I was a little cautious. I had always went to another range in the area, but received a gift certificate from here for my birthday and gave it a shot ( pun intended! ). I was very happy with the service and facilities. While the sales staff wasnt greeting me at the door and acting like I was their best friend, they were friendly and willing to take the time to answer any questions. Ive been shooting for years, so this laid back style suits me fine. Everybody treats me great. As for the range; more room than most indoor ranges with plenty of standing room to move around. The ventilation is great! Ranges can get a bit stuffy, but they have some pretty awesome fans that cool it and circulate the air very well. The lanes are well lit and give you an aproximate target distance ( not all ranges have this ). They also have a can to leave any bad ammo, rather than leave failures on the floor ( again, not all places have them ). With all this, I expected to be a little higher on cost, but surprisingly, it was about the same or lower. And lastly, I picked up a few cleaning supplies while looking around, and prices were equal to other local big box gun stores. Range ammo was also comparable. Over all, this has quickly become my go-to range.
I frequent this business as there are very limited options in the area in regards to firing ranges. Their prices on Firearms often beat out larger local stores (kames or gander). I also like that they dont fill space or selection by carrying budget/junk brands... However their employees are extremely rude, act very rushed with customers even if the place is slow, and are very opinionated and biased. Theres also a noticeable favoritism amongst customers and females are treated completely differently. One example of this I was in with an AR-15 issue in the buffer tube I was quoted a ridiculous price and turn around time for just determining the issue, hearing this before and just to see for myself I sent (the same day) a female with my rifle 45 minutes later she returned with it repaired with an additional extra retainer spring and retainer on the side all free of charge. All in all if you want to go shooting (in or near the area) this is the place, if you have already done your research and know which weapon you want to buy this is an excellent option however if you need assistance or information regarding a particular weapon or weapon style I would highly suggest not wasting your time. If you need a repair I would suggest sending it with a female. Recently I just utilize price match at Gander Mountain or Kames to receive better customer service and the same product for the same price. This place would easily be 5 stars if theyd just put some effort into consistent and non-biased customer service.
Prices are decent, but I would avoid going here. The employee that I dealt with was extremely rude. Im telling you just avoid going here, it will ruin your day. I dont like supporting the major corporations and try to shop at small businesses as much as possible. But I will definitely never be going here again. Whoever the owner is I guarantee knows who Im talking about. And they need to either straighten them out or get them out if he wants a thriving business. Because as of right now I bet there isnt many return customers.
I am surprised by all the negative reviews here. Ive never had a problem with any of the staff, and being fairly new to shooting, Ive asked my share of stupid questions. To a man, they have always answered my questions and given me good advise. I have purchased new and used guns from them and always felt like I got a fair deal. I have even brought guns purchased elsewhere and have had good service from these guys. As for the readers who were shocked when they discovered that the range is members only now, their website announced the change in policy three months before the transition. Maybe all the naysayers need to adjust their own attitudes and be willing to learn a little from these guys .
The employees were rude and arrogant.I was treated like I was ignorant about weapons. Another customer wanted to look at a colt 1911 and the employee ignored him . The customer asked him and even tried to introduce himself with a hand shake and was ignored.I will not be back and will spend my money elsewhere
I just got a 9mm gun and need bullets. Came to this place. They saw that I was naive as to what I was buying. They sold me hollow point +P+. I told my friend who is very experienced with guns what I bought. He told me not to use them because my gun barrel was not designed for that kind of power and it could harm me. These people sold me bullets that could harm me they did not care they just wanted to take advantage of my naivety.
I had previously rated one star. My last few visits here I feel the employees are really doing a better job all around. They are even extremely competitive with online pricing with all there accessories and guns that I have personally priced. Keep up the good work! I wish I could pay a per day or per month fee for the private range but its 150 for 6 MO or 275 for a year. This counts me out mostly. Too much upfront and too much dedication which I cant commit. All well...
Shocked at all the bad reviews. I was very happy with their service and knowledge of the products. Don was very helpful when I bought my items and Rob at the range has given me great advice on shooting. I was not very familiar with handguns but they took the time to explain and educate me so I could make an informed buy. Very very pleased.
This place is alright they have a pretty decent selection of firearms and imo pretty good prices with ammo. The staff there seems very standoffish though. They could use a refresher course on proper customer service. Will go here until they make me feel unwelcome or piss me off. They got little doo dads that other places dont have. Havent tried their range out as you gotta be a member.
The is clean and monitored by cameras making you feel a little safer that the staff is watching out for any unsafe practices. The price is good and I have not found a better price on .45 ACP. $40 for 100 rounds of Federal 230 hardball is nice to find! The staff is a little surly. I think they want to maintain a certain distance from their customers which feels a little odd if you are used to Dicks Gun Room where they know you by first name and offer you coffee when you enter. They have a narrow array of high end 1911s but they are priced at near retail.
They are incredibly rude and, in my experience, look down upon customers when they have questions. I heard one employee tell a customer, Ive lost all interest in what youre saying and he just walked away. If you are not going to spend a fair amount of money with them, theyre incredibly condescending. I do not recommend this business to anybody. I wish zero stars was an option. I recommend seeing the nice gentlemen at Summit Armory. Theyll be glad to hear about your bad experience here at pro armament. It wont be the first time theyve heard them
As with the other reviews, mine is a bit mixed but leaning negative. I have had good experiences here, it all depends on who is working. The bad employees are really bad and have been there for years. They have an arrogance that creates an very unfriendly environment. I will drive the extra 25 minutes to Fin Feather where the sales staff is courteous.
This is overall a decent range for pistols and small caliber rifles. The shop is clean and well stocked, prices are fair, and no complaints with the staff. I can see them being rude if you are unsafe with firearms, but nobody wants to get shot by some idiot. My only complaint is that its a 22.5 yds range and not 25. The stalls also have a very small counter which makes it near impossible to put a rest or shooting bag.
I dont normally post reviews because I rarely find a place that offers above average customer service and product knowledge. But when it comes to Pro Armament, they stand out. They where recommended to me by a friend who demands top notch customer service as well. After looking around for just a few short minutes it was apparent this was no ordinary firearms dealer. High end gear and a great collection of NFA items. The staff is very knowledgeable, but be sure to ask for Don. Don was very accommodating and friendly. Despite the fact its out of my immediate neighborhood I will continue to do busyness with them.
Absolutely awesome experience. They were very knowledgeable about every type of gun they have on hand and any you are looking for. If you know or dont know what you want feel safe in the fact that these guys know what they are talking about. Military friendly and they specialize in rifles and handguns, top of the line rifles more specifically.
This place has very fine fire arms. Not the place if on a budget. Try Rural King instead. If money is not a concern and you seek top quality from antique to brand spankin new. Rifle, pistol, revolver or shot gun Pro Armament Co. Has something for you. Even if you cant afford their guns you like or are not necessarily interested in the ones you can, it is a great place to browse . They have a large selection of holsters & magazines. I was able to leave the store with a couple of what nots that didnt break the bank. A pleasure to have experienced the place.
Good store, nice range and well kept. The people here are more on the rude side, and can be pushy with guns on what they think you need or should buy. Very few of the staff are friendly unless they feel like you are going to buy what they think you need or your a friend of theres. Go for the range, not the prices.
Ive been there a few times and theyve never been very friendly. They seem to have a good selection and the range is nice but the service is just bad. Every time Ive been there, both when busy and slow, they dont bother to ask if they can help with anything. When I do approach them they just look at me until I tell them what I want and then arent very nice about it. When I went to buy some ammo I told them I was looking for some 9mm and he just said Its right in front of you, so apparently they only have one kind of ammo for a 9mm. Then after buying some I had to ask for a bag to carry it all out, not the biggest thing in the world but at no point do they try and be helpful.
Terrible customer service. While the shop has plenty of merchendise to offer, the staff always seem like your inconveniencing them if you dare to interact with them, heaven forbid you have a question. I asked what their ammunition prices were which was met with a snug response to look for myself. I was met with the same snug kind of response when asking about targets for their range. The only positive experience from my visit to Pro Armament? The guy in charge of the cash register for the range undercharged me for ammo because he was too busy taking photos of his buddy on the security camera and wasnt paying attention to my transaction. Karma worked out.
I went today to buy a full size pistol and shop for the compact im buying next week. When asking details about the guns the help wouldnt give any info beyond its killed lots of people. (Sticks have killed a lot of people too...)I asked what are some complaints about the m9. He said no one complains about the m9 (im former navy and EVERYONE complains about the m9)Then aside from an outright refusal to give info beyond what was on the tag, they actually looked me in the face and told me my 1911 was worth 200 MAYBE 250. Lol now, i may just b a consumer But high points cost more than That...Today proamament lost a customer over apathy. Not everyone likes their job, but these employees need replaced quickly. You Can keep price gouging, and you are, but when a pawnshop has better customer service, i doubt ill b the last customer you loseSydmors Pawn in Barbarton made a sale today because their trade was $400 and their p227 was $50 cheaper.Theres much greener pastures where you wont get treated like an inconvenience for trying to buy their product. I wont waste my time or money in this store again
I have been shooting here for a little over two years and I am shocked by some of these reviews. I have never had a negative experience here. This is the best place to shoot pistols and rifles indoors in NE Ohio. Their backstop is state-of-the-art and the range is extremely clean and well lit. The only down side is they do not allow shotguns. My favorite feature of this range is their ventilation system, some ranges leave you basking in a cloud of gun powder but not this one. I have not purchased any firearms or holsters from here but when I was looking for a holster they were very helpful despite not being able to find a LH holster to suit my needs. They do have a huge selections of long guns and pistols though and have a nice selection of AK variants unlike most gun shops. I recommend this range to all of my friends since it is so clean and well-maintained.
Good selection of products and fair prices. Some staff is helpful and friendly but the others are condescending and rude. If you luck out and get someone friendly, the rude ones decide to “help”. I can’t say I like being laughed at when I’m trying to learn about a firearm that I’m purchasing. The poor staff kills any chance that I’ll return. It’s a shame because I’m very close to this location.
This place is the absolutely the worst. The staff is nasty. They tried to scam me out of money. And the tall goofy guy cussed me out because I knew what he was trying to do to me. I will tell everyone I wouldnt waste a penny here. You can get better service from the guy that washes your windows on the street. I hate that I have to even give them a star. They dont deserve it at all. If I could give place negative stars it would be a negative 10. Ive met my people trough the years but none as horrible as this. So youve been warned. And Im not the only one that thinks this either. There are many other places to go with better prices and kinder and way more caring staff. I all can say is....Stay Away.
1 time I TRIED to order a 509 Tactical and they said no problem it will be about a week. A week came and went. I called they put me on hold for 5 minutes only to give me lip service about why it was not there and when it would be there. 3 weeks later another phone call and still no pistol and no clear answer to where, when or why...?Now I’m looking for a TP9 Elite SC so I phoned in to ask ( because I’m 45 min away) and when the person answered the phone I said “ I’m looking to buy a pistol and I was wondering g if you had it in stock , if so how much and if not can you order it” the reply to was “ OK JUST STOP BY THE SHOP” and then just HUNG UP!!! Well you don’t have to guess I will not be going there or calling there ever again!
Bought a gun there back in may and have gone in a few times since with questions and upgrade ideas and the guys there are so helpful with not making you feel dumb for asking a question. Straight forward told me not to waste money on a specific piece until I had purchased the suppressor so he helped me save money all in all great place great prices and a knowledgeable staff they have a private range there as well that is great just wish they would let you run drills instead of just trying to keyhole targets all day
Came into the store about 5 clerks only two customers in there, one was talking about tamales, and pastelles and the other was looking at the guns. Not once did they ask me if they could help or even acknowledge my presence. Was looking to get the mauser 1910 but nobody made themselves available.
I would give a minus star if I could. Went to check this place out, members only! I can live with that, just dont be a rude SOB about it. Had the person not been rude, I may have stayed and purchased some supplies. Will never step foot in this place again. Drove a few miles down the road and was treated like a human. How about maybe allowing a non member a chance to check the place out, maybe they would join, however even if that were an option, I would still not go back due to the rude employee.
Ive bought 3 guns from these clowns. The first time I got semi decent service. The second time I preordered a gun. When I went to pick the gun up I thought maybe the guy was having a rough day. Totally rude and unprofessional. The third and final time was when they had a gun in stock that everyone else had sold out of. I should have waited. These wanna be tough guys have no clue how much business they are driving away. Ill order a gun online before I set foot in that place again. I never miss an opportunity to let everyone I meet in the gun community what arrogant, rude neanderthals work in that place. I blame management. Total Hacks!!
Dont really know what selection or prices they had because unless your in the market for a pistol its extremely difficult to see other Firearms due to the layout specifically the rifles. An employee did ask if there was anything I would like to see( after another employee notified me I was not allowed in the area where the rifles are) but I wouldnt begin to know what was even available to see if I had wanted to... very poor store layout.
I have been here a few times before and they were very rude. I asked a question about some shotguns and they were very condescending because I didnt go with the most expensive one there. It was all overpriced already. The range is ok though. Definitely would not purchase anything from them but will go to shoot.
If you go here speak with Don he is extremely respectful even without me buying something that day. He fixed my holster without any questions asked. They stand behind their product great customer service. Incredible business I will be returning in the future. Thanks Don!
I was in the area so I stopped in on 11/7/16 because I was looking for a firearms case. My first time in the store, I live 50 miles away. There were 5 employees, one was in office, four were in the store. One was selling a gun one was waiting on a man with two women and the other two were talking to each other and answering the phone when it rang. I was in the place for over 20 minutes and nobody even as much made eye contact with me, I even stood at the counter near the phone and they kept answering the phone and walking away without even acknowledging my presence. I was completely ignored. Not even an Ill be right with you ....nothing......I left.
Not the most friendly people at first especially if your new to shooting, but after a couple visits they warm right up. Range is decent although with all the new shooters it makes me nervous when the place is crowded. Concealed weapon course are staggered between classroom time and shooting time on a different day. Not bad prices, always well staffed.
Employees are very rude for some reason. Very condescending and not friendly at all. I asked the guy if they had any Henry lever rifles and he barked at me ,Well, what caliber? I cant read your mind. I dont now how they stay in business with this attitude towards customers. Obviously, I wont be going back again. I didnt even bother to look around in the shop further as if they act like they want to bite your head off for asking a question about stock items, I hate to see how they act if you ever had to return an item.
Pros:* Best selection of firearms....period (you wont find a low end piece of crap like Wyndham there...)* Competitive prices (especially on ammo)* Great selection of gear* Nice range (wish it had a few more stalls though)* 5% Military discountCons:* Range can be busy at times (or so it seems when Ive been there)* Yes, its true. Sometimes the employees can be a lil squirly...Ive personally seen it. Ive never had a problem though, ever! But Ive seen customers who they dont know get pushed aside for a repeat customer. Depending on how u see that, it could be good or bad...Summary:Best place this side of cabelas...plain and simple. Ive been asked before whether or not to frequent Pro Armament. I tell people who are new to do their research before walking in. Cause if ur dumb, theyll treat u as such. But if you roll in with ideas of what u want, ur $$ range, a positive attitude, and an open mind, they will treat you like royalty.Ive purchased a 9mm and AK there (plus ammo, mags, optics, etc...). Been going there many moons. Each guy working there is different. If you go there enough, ull figure it out. So give them a chance. If its really busy, come back later. This place has mostly higher end firearms. If you want budget junk, go to Kames...If your willing to spend, Pro Armament is the perfect shop.
Extremely rude and suspicious staff. The entire time I was in the store, in the middle of a week day, there was a staff member walking around with a a loaded AR-14 at the ready. Really? Either they are pathalogicly paranoid or just plain stupid. There has never been an armed robbery in broad daylight in Cuy Falls and they are 1/4 mile from police HQ. Nothing but a pathetic ammosexual show. The membership fees are outrageous and they treat potential new members with extreme suspicion. Especially if you are not pure white as the fresh snow.In addition any questions will get you treated as a complete moron undeserving of their attention.
Purchased my first handgun (Glock 19) here about a year ago. The pricing was average, but they allowed me to test fire their full assortment of Glock rentals and comped the range time. They also had an excellent deal on Blazer Brass 9mm. These guys are polite enough, but take themselves a bit too seriously. A real tacticool vibe so I deducted 1/2 a star. I deducted another 1/2 star for the fact that they are now a membership obly range. Very good place otherwise.
Visiting this store looking for a new firearm. I had described to the employee what I was looking for in a new firearm. Very specific to caliber, size, and even a the brand I was heavily researching for a while. The store did not have the gun in stock I was looking for but had some similar. I felt like I was being given every excuse in the book as to why I didnt need the firearm I was looking for and should just go with This or That. (This or that meaning I was recomended guns not even in the same caliber or catagory as my original asking)The more I was dragged around the store handed different guns, the more I felt like he was just a car salesman trying to just sell me anything.Until I had asked about the chance of ordering the specific I was looking for, he had almost acted like that would be impossible and I had to buy from what was in stock.
Walked in looking to purchase a Springfield mc operator. They had the weapon but nobody behind the counter took the time to talk to me. Didnt welcome my business at all. The older man that walked in after me was greeted and helped before me. I walked out and went to debranskis and ended up spending 2200 dollars. Guess you should Jude your customers by age it looks. They lost a big sale and a lot more to come.
The staff is horrible I’ve been in this store over 10+ times and for me to get help or service I have to stare hard at a gun or ask multiple questions but when people of the other skin tone walk in they are greeted and welcomed in I’ve been stared at and not even spoken too thank you pro armament to showing your true COLOR your store will never get another $ from me.
Horrible customer service. Sent an email to this business and received extremely rude emails back from their “Sales & Marketing Manager” who wasn’t any help at all and only met my questions with rude and sarcastic remarks such as Maybe you should contact a different clairvoyant to satisfy your needs, or youre welcome to stop in and try our magic eight ball. all because I wasnt specific enough for him. I don’t recommend going or supporting this business at all.
Used to love coming to this place, and in fact I would constantly recommend this place to my friends as a place to buy firearms and shoot, but not anymore. The range is now for club members only and unless you shoot at least once a month then it isnt worth getting a membership.
The guy behind the counter was very rude. Wanted info on hand guns and classes. He couldnt be bothered blew me off basically. Was more interested in standing there at the counter eating his chicken for lunch. Grossed me out. This place lost a lot of money consider ing I was going to buy a hand gun and sign up for a ccw class. Not at this place ! What an arogant jerk. Dont ever go there they suck !
Stopped in on a Saturday morning to see if they had an armorers wrench (and probably would have bought some other stuff too). Either the guy didnt know what I was asking for or just woke up and didnt care. I asked him if he knew where I could get one and he shrugged online?.... okay buddy, I guess Ill keep on shopping online but wont be back, plenty of other FFLs. They must make their money selling holsters and overpriced single stacks to soccer moms and old farts. I doubt they even carry Hoppes let alone any reloading/gunsmithing/parts. We need a Fin in Chapel Hill!
I dont know why this place has such a low rating. There was a problem with my order and they corrected it quick and professionally. They have such great customer service. I couldnt have asked for better. I will be refering all my friends here and I will continue to come back to do business with them. They have great deals and sell so many different items. This is the store to go to for something you need.
I would rate 0 star if i could staff was rude and of course my firearm was junk. Asked about ccw class 150 dollars. That is the highest price i have seen yet. Asked about range rental was told had to be a member and pay 175 for 5 month membership what a crock of crap. Avoid that place and its rude staff and overpriced everything
RUDE RUDE RUDE. Look at the negative reviews folks I dont think its a fluke. I now drive to Stonewall instead of this place and have a pleasent time there. Pro Armament has very unprofessional workers who act like they dont have the time of the day for you and huff and puff when you walk in. Take your money else where and get treated better.
Bought a Colt 1911 Wiley Clapp edition. Didnt know anything about the gun going into it. Don at the 1911 counter was more than helpful and very knowledgable. Got screwed over by another shop and they made it right by selling me the Colt for a great deal. Would buy from them again. Thanks guys!
Only they are existing and doing some businesses here till now is because there are no any other ranges nearby. Owner here should correct the workers or himself. These people here need to take lessons on Costomer services. They will faces all levels of Costomers, these people has no right to humiliate or be rude with them.
I know the store was very busy, but that should not give the employees the right to be rude to their (potential) customers. I kindly asked if there was an opening in the rage, and before I finished asking, the gentleman behind the desk said,Its full, and there are 5 other people in front of you. You can wait like everyone else, or go home. I very politely said, OK, do you have a rough Idea how long it will be? And he said, I dont know, I just send them down and when they come back up, I charge them.Seems like it would have been easier to say, Im so sorry, we are very busy, its going to be an hour wait, I can add you to the list if you like. Im not going back there.
As of September 26 2016 at 12.00pm the members behind the counter acted as if they were preoccupied with doing absolutely nothing to avoid making eye contact with me when I finally got someone to help me with getting the best personal defense rounds for my 9mm the individual had an attitude the entire time the only person willing explain anything to me was the guy running the range other than that guy running the range i wouldnt buy a stick of gum from them
Staff in the the store is friendly, however the grouchy man that does the membership for the range is NOT.That man was very unprofessional and rude.He did nothing but complain about customers and this and that.I had requested a refund for the membership and the manager did the refund with out any problems. Will NOT be returning there for any use of their range at all.

2022-04-02As a collector, Pro Armament is my go to place to find what Im looking for. They buy and resell valuable military surplus and historic firearms. Plus, they have a wide variety of modern weaponry, or can order what you want. They want to make a profit, so the price tags are understandably marked accordingly. After I pay, I often find the sales person providing a small gift like a gun sock or case, which is very nice of them. And if customers pay by cash, theyre more willing to offer a small discount on many items, but not all items. The staff can help almost anyone, as long as youre respectful, reasonable and courteous. In other words, dont be a jerk. Don’t drop mags on their fragile glass counter... dont suddenly pull out your pistol... dont transfer an on-line firearm that you could have bought from them just to save 20 bucks... and if youre inspecting a firearm, handle it with tender care so you dont damage it.Some staff are better at chit chatting and others are not. Ive found that the quiet ones are sometimes the most knowledgeable, especially when it comes to collectibles. The ones that are good at small talk might not enjoy it, but theyre willing to talk with you because they want to serve and hopefully make a sale. So... if you stand around talking to a sales associate for an hour, at least buy something to make it worth his time and effort!Theyre very good at spotting people that have no business being around firearms. Such as those who are under the influence of alcohol or narcotics. Keep in mind that if you get the cold shoulder treatment from a sales associate, you may have triggered a red flag with them. If you believe youre a good customer, then its YOUR responsibility to prove it by acting sober, kind, patient, respectful, and able to pay. It might take 2 or 3 visits, but eventually youll be trusted based on YOUR good behavior.

2022-02-24Dont shop here or even use their indoor range. The staff acts like they are inconvenienced by customers. Not helpful at all and their inventory is overpriced and is mostly targets collectors that want bbq guns that look good but come with a high price. I have visited twice thinking maybe the first time someone was having a bad day or bad staffing that day. My assumptions were incorrect and they are miserable every day. I worked as a manager of a gun store for 5 years and will not be doing business here again. Maybe some new management can keep the doors open but Im not betting on it.

2022-02-17Thought the reviews were too harsh from others. They werent, the guys behind the counter seemed more interested in eating than assisting. And when they did it was dismissive and rude. I understand stock is rough but you dont have to be condescending. Gives pro 2a people a bad name, spend your money elsewhere.

2022-06-16So heres what I gathered from my experience. I have owned guns since I was old enough to purchase one, Im currently 42. I entered the establishment and was immediately greated rudely, as if I was being vetted and judged as soon as I walked in. I had one question, was talked to in a condescending manner then ignored by said associate. Being still interested in what they had to offer I continued on. I then had another question, clearly decided to ask a different associate. This gentleman by the name of Matt was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and was pleasant to talk to. I wound up purchasing a firearm that Im very pleased with, and feel it was priced at a reasonable price. And Matt was awesome to deal with every step of the way.Now Im not sure if the majority of staff is current or ex-military. Which would answer the question of why they are reluctant to be helpful to any Jo Shmo off of the street. Or they get a ton of wheel kickers in there. But, I consider myself pretty well kept, and my money spends the same as anyone else. Either way, theyre going to have to either loosen up a bit, or continue to operate how they do. As long as they make enough to pay their employees and keep the lights, its their choice. If you can look past the majority of rudeness, in my opinion their prices are not bad at all for current market ammo and firearms, and its to be expected to pay top dollar for rare and collectable firearms and knives... Id also rather them be a little observant as to who they entertain a sale to, than not...

2022-06-27Total gun nuts and rude staff. My family has cardiovascular health issues and my uncle died at 59 from Covid. Because I wore a mask they treated me like garbage but I hear they do that in general anyway. Acted like I was a commie because of last name and because I bought a Jugoslav pistol. I will never go back. Ill find a gun store that treats casual gun enthusiasts like a customer.

2022-06-02Had a bad experience here 4-5 years ago and left a bad review but I’m back to say that they have improved and the employee I worked with today was knowledgeable, patient, and professional. Unlike my previous experience. Thank you for changing my mind about pro armament.

2022-02-045 stars can’t say enough , great service , knowledgeable, and the store is always clean and well kept, the negative reviews are crazy, for example the one about the mask - it’s a gun store the employees need to be able to see a full face when entering the store because it’s a gun store, it’s for their protection, who says the guy didn’t have a stole ID and was trying to buy a gun and didn’t want to pull the mask down. Will always be a loyal customer !!!!

2022-01-19The most collectively rude group of individuals I have ever experienced working at one store. Not one individual at this establishment understand the concept of customer service, treating people with respect, and letting word of mouth and good service speak for itself. Many other options that deserve your patronage before this place. If you wanna turn your day sour, just try calling these guys for any information whatsoever.

2021-12-19After a pretty bad experience today I decided to go read the reviews. After reading it is pretty clear these guys are rude and do not respect their customers. After disrespecting an older gentleman saying that he was not aloud to wear a mask in there store. The man left the store and did not return. I went to the counter and this man had no interest in answering questions or helping me find the right gun for my girlfriend. I do appreciate him treated us like this because we found an awesome store in North Canton where we both got guns and were treated awesome.

2021-12-13I haven’t visited in a little while since I don’t live too close anymore, but I still try to do all my shopping here. I’ve never had a bad experience buying anything from these guys. The staff has always offered good advice if I ask for it. I bought my first gun from here a few years ago, and a half dozen more since then. They’ve always done right by me.
