The guy who is normally here ALWAYS works by himself. This place is a 1 man show. He sometimes leaves for lunch, so theres a chance it might be closed that time. Out of every post office I prefer this one. The mail I send from this location always arrives to its destination in a timely manner, which is NOT the case for the 2 other offices located north of here on State St. and Hoff Rd.
Guy who runs this place is generally friendly, however the way this USPS is run is extremely poor. It is closed at random times, opens late, closes early and all kinds of fun. You never know if this place will be open.CAUTION to anyone who sends out packages on a regular basis. He only scans priority mail packages when he feels like it, has admit to me that he often just sends it on its way to be scanned later somewhere else. This is NOT how USPS workers are supposed to operate. I had a large package not scanned in, then lost in the mail bc it never got scanned along the way I am now out of both the sale and the items in the package with no proof I even sent it. This was the nail in the coffin. I am done.
One word, incompetence. Pure and simple. They have some good people but the limited number of employees compared to the locations demand is not adequate. It is next to impossible to reach someone via phone. On several occasions tracking updates have indicated delivery, contact, etc. that is not true. They have lost my mail twice since Christmas. This location needs fixed.
I would say it is the worst USPS office, but it is just the worst business in general. The guy who works there is generally rude. Ive waited numerous times at the counter while the guy was somewhere else. Today, I went there after the scheduled time they take for lunch, and it was still closed even though there was an open sign. It was about 45 minutes after the sign had said. Another individual had also been waiting and tried to go in. Unless you are there in the morning and just dropping off a letter, just dont bother going.
Ive never had any problems with this branch, or the employees. The McCord let branch, a different story. Everyone at this branch has always been very polite, and my packages get there on time.
Worst post office ever. NEVER OPEN. 11am not open, 1 pm not open, 2 pm not open. Are you always on lunch?!?!?!?!?!?! Great customer service!
Do not send any valuable packages from this place. The person with the glasses(by the way only one person works here all the time) is shady. He wont scan your item and gives you a receipt of different worthless item and your product will not be updated in the tracking! Not recommended!
Absolute joke. Employee acts like they are forced to work there. You picked the job, dont have to be rude to everyone that walks in the door. 🤷♂️
Mailed a loan payment here on July 3rd. Never arrived at the bank. Will never trust delivery from here again
Office Hours on the door state OPEN from 9am to 5pm. Location was closed at 1pm. This is unacceptable. Employ more people if you need to take a lunch break off the floor!
The sign said open and it was 12:15pm, but the door was locked. Nobody was inside. I knocked for several minutes, but no one ever came.
Yeah its hard telling when this place is actually going to be open. Unless you want to take a gamble on waiting around for 30 minutes or so any time you plan on going here, then pick another location or maybe call first.
Great service, but yeah if you get there around 12-2 you have to wait for the one person running the place to get back from lunch. Sometimes they take longer than they say
Hours say open at 9am its now 10:20 am still not open! Still cant figure out why the post office is failing ?
The employee was so rude to me and every other patron that I saw there. Didn’t even help with my inquiry. The whole experience ruined my day.
I want there 11:30am the sign say I am on lunch I will be back 12:15 pm okay I go back and I came back 1:20 pm I see new sign saying Ill be back 2:00pm okay i am waiting now its Best 2 :00pm stil its not open yet

2022-07-05Ive been to this location a few times and each time there was only one person working. However, I would still consider them to be efficient since others as well as myself dont have to wait in line too long. At least this has been my experience each time, it may be different for others.

2022-05-04When it’s open, it’s great. Functions just as a post office should. The only problem is the unpredictable hours. I’m here at 9:50 on a Wednesday morning, along with 4 other cars, staring at the “closed-be back at 9:30am” sign. I believe there is only 1 employee so that may be the issue. It’s very frustrating.

2018-04-03Im not sure how to rate this, but I can confirm other peoples complaints about this place being closed at random times. I went there yesterday and saw the be back in 5 minutes or less sign. There was a lady already waiting and 4 that came after me. They were joking and said Ron must be in the bathroom again. The local police ended up coming over and pulled up next to me and even commented about Ron. I reached out to my brother n law who has worked for the postal service for over 20 years and he said since it is a small location and one clerk, they have to lock up if they have to leave their station (bathroom, bank...etc). So on one hand, it was kind of nice meeting the people of Westerville and the community feel over jokes about Rons breaks on the other hand, it was a little frustrating waiting 10-15 minutes for Ron to be done in the loo. Not Rons fault, but not sure the solution.

2019-11-04I went out of my way TWICE to visit this location. First stop was around 11am and the sign said open but the door was locked. Someone posted in the window “bank run. Be back in 20 mins”. So I left. I decided to go back right after it was to open after lunch so I could finally ship my items and a sign in the window said “out to lunch. Be back at 2:10”. So unprofessional and incredibly rude to customers.... I’m very disappointed in this location for wasting so much of my time. You should seriously consider how your selfishness affects other small business owners and employees trying to make a living....11.4.19 Arrived at 10:30, an HOUR after the branch opened and although the open sign was the in the window, the door was locked and there was a printed sign that read be back in 5 minutes. I don’t even know why I try. Someone shut this branch down or change over management this is ridiculous.

2019-04-05The owner takes an unusually long amount of time for lunch, like an hour and a half. I went there one time in the morning and he didnt unlock the door until 5-10 minutes after the scheduled open time. This guy should get out of the service industry and go work as a police officer or something.Update: They updated their hours on Google but this place still sucks. I like coming here because its way more convenient than the big post office but I am always frustrated when the dude is gone for lunch for 30 minutes past 2 when it says he is suppose to be back. Is there anyone else who can do his job? Pay the neighbor kid to stand there, weigh stuff and put stickers on it.

2019-10-18Fast and friendly service. You have to realize that only one person is at this location. Ron is the guys name and he does a good job. Its a lot for one person to handle everything on a daily basis. I have never had a issue with any of my packages getting to there destination.

2019-06-19This post office has been thrown under the bus by a bunch of impatient, self-centered people. The guy that runs it is very friendly and extremely helpful. Hes probably grouchy that small % of the time because customers are rude and...hes human! Havent you ever had a hard day ?? And since hes the only one there most of the time - he DESERVES to go to lunch. If hes a little late getting back, so what? Patience people. Also, theres no sign on the building right now because the facades of the entire plaza are being replaced. If people would just slow down and stop being so all-about-themselves, the world would be a much better place. And do you actually realize how much a poor online review online affects a small business!? Online reviews should be used for extreme experiences...if youre just nitpicking, keep it to yourself.

2020-05-09My experience here was horrible and in my opinion unacceptable. I walked in with a box of items to ship and before I was even through the door, the employee looked at me and said thats not packaged up. I asked if there were shipping boxes and tape and he told me that all they had was the standard size boxes available. I left the location, went home packaged up my items in the same box with tape and returned. I had created and paid for a label previously but did not have access to a printer assuming I would be able to have it printed at the location. When I explained this to the same employee upon my return he got frustrated and informed me that people should do their homework before showing up to the post office. all they are responsible for is scanning a label already printed and the actual shipping. My issue with this location is not that these are the requirements and I was not prepared, but the way it was communicated. This was my first time shipping from a USPS location and now I know and understand the expectations but I will NEVER return to this same spot to do any shipping.

2019-09-20Worker put a sign up during business hours “Be back in 5 minutes or less”. Well, over 5 minute. We waited for 15 minutes. Who knows how long he had the shop closed. He sure does make his own hours.
