I wish I could give 0 stars. I applied for a change of address two months ago and have yet to see my mail. Upon contacting customer service I was told that there was no record of change. I’m missing W2s , health care documentation and more. But of course there is nothing that can be done. Visit at your own risk!
Very friendly and professional. I sent out an international package at there late afternoon today. The lady who assisted me was very professional and friendly. She very patiently provided different sizes of boxes so that I can pay the lowest postage possible. A quite pleasant experience.
Ever since Annette showed up at this location, my experience has been great! She always brings a smile to my face and treats me well. I am thankful for the advice she gives when shipping customer packages. Thank you USPS for bringing her to this location, shes one in a million!
Who reviews the post office? I thought when I saw these reviews. Then I went to this post office. Now I get it. I would call it the worst service ever, except that what I received was not service. I was barked at to choose between Yes or No regarding package fragility. I was informed that the item I was mailing had been shoved into the box, and the woman who helped me--Francine--proceeded to shake the box in front of me to show me how the item moved about in it. Wow. Its like they are trying to be rude. If they are, they are succeeding beyond their wildest dreams. I will never return.
I go to my email every morning to get my USPS dashboard. They scan my mail and tell me the status of any packages that are headed to my address. I see on Wednesday night that they didnt deliver one and are holding at the post office at customer request. Doesnt say what post office. I didnt request it. Thursday after work I go to the post office on Henderson. I ask for my package. The store associate says that if I didnt request the hold, it means the mail person did that so theyd stop getting reminders for delayed packages. She said theyve been doing that a lot lately...So basically they made me go to my local USPS store to find out that my mailperson is misusing the system but that theyre ok with it. The store associate told me the package is probably at your house. Unsure how anyone can know where a package is if the mail deliverers are putting incorrect information into the tracking system.
On may 27th i visited the henderson road post office attempting to return 2 large boxes of product i had the return label on both packages correctly I was told the boxs were oversized amd not first class shipping and there was nothing they could do and would not accept the packages, next they sent me to fedex and there i was denied as well the next i went.to the 161 location and there accepted the package with no issues definitly would not recommend this branch the employess are very unprofessional and unwilling to help. I would give 0 stars if it were an option.
Today, October 15th they were nasty, did not know what was going on and expected me to as if I’m the one working here, and to top it with cherries purposely let me go pick up my keys at Gettysburg at 4:30 pm while knowing they are closed.I’m very tired, work in Healthcare 12 hours tomorrow and am in pain today. Why waste my time? And with Covid going around. Terrible attitudes; the others heard everything and did nothing, said nothing so they are complicit. Will be third trip Monday to try and get my keys. Never using this post office after I do for anything else, again!!! They are provocative! Try to upset the customers
Even though it was a Monday morning, the woman who was working maintained an upbeat, positive attitude despite some folks in line who were huffing and puffing. She kept the line moving with a smile on her face. I was in and out in 10 minutes, which I feel is pretty quick. Very helpful answering questions regarding my passport renewal.
Customer service is terrible. I went in person looking for a package that was taken back to the facility. The woman at the front did not ask for a tracking number and belittled me for having my old address, not my new address, on the package. She then told me it was not there and “good luck”. After waiting a few days for redelivery, I called again, as I was told to do so after speaking to another local facilility that said my package was last scanned at the Henderson rd location. The man on the phone told me the wrong address was on the package, he would not allow me to schedule for pick up, nor would he tell me where the package was or check my name and verify that it was in fact my package. He told me “the conversation is over” and refused to tell me where the package was and refused to help me locate it or receive it, telling me my tracking number was probably wrong. So I called the location on riverside and had ALL of these issues resolved in less than 10 minutes. They seemed more interested in getting me out of the store and off the phone than they were about locating a package THEY LOST. I will avoid this post office at all costs.
I have been using this location for 5 years and my only complain is that the lines can get long. Otherwise I have been treated with friendly respect and offered help and advice. I ship packages to Europe often and the staff is always helpful with finding the best deal to fit my needs.
I didn’t know much about shipping flat rate so I asked some questions and got a free box to take home and fill (they are always free to take I found out). I returned the next day to pay and send the package with no problem. Probably only waited about five minutes in line. Attendant was nice.
I have not had mail delivery for over a week. When I called the post office to find out why, a female answered my call and was very nasty and rude. She was no help and refused to even listen to me. I was told that they were short staffed and that was the way it is. This is the federal mail service and they are supposed to guarantee delivery.
USPS would not offer me a couple pieces of tape to put one of there labels, which I purchased, on my box .. They said I would have to buy a roll of tape which was more than what the label cost me and sorry. Now I have to drive all the way home just to tape the label on my box and then drive it back. Very frustrating. The lady was very rude..

2022-02-03I scheduled an appointment online, for this specific location, to get a passport. However, when I went in for my appointment the lady, very dismissively, tells me they dont do passports there. Even though, they literally have passport renewal forms and signs up saying passports by appointment only. And, a few months ago, I saw a family in the process of getting their passport, while I was waiting in line at this location.Otherwise, my experience at this location has been good.

2022-05-06Honestly had a great experience here. I asked one of the ladies working a variety of questions and she was very helpful and informative. Candy was the one who processed my mail and she was super nice! A post office trip I did not mind making!

2022-06-11Yes, this location is understaffed on certain days just like a lot of businesses every where. Despite that, these ladies go above and beyond. If you come in like a decent human being with respect youll get the same in return. Deep, Candy, Belinda, and Taiwanna (not 100% on the spelling), and the employees at the Gettysburg distribution center are awesome! Love these ladies

2022-02-15Do not make a passport appointment at this location!!! Even though the website will allow you to schedule an appointment here, their passport agent is retired and they can no longer do those. The employees are very nice and respectful though.

2022-06-14I’m not entirely sure why this place gets such low reviews from both here and word of mouth. There can be a line, and a wait, but when isn’t there a line when 20+ folks try to ship stuff at the same time? Seems unfair to leave a poor review for that. The people working there have always been helpful and pleasant.

2021-06-08I have been using this past office for years and nothing changes. Im standing in line with 10 people in front of me. The ONE clerk has addressed TWO people in the last 15 minutes. Frankly, in tired of having to plan a day off of written just to mail something. Do they think we have nothing better to do? They keep raising postage but service never gets better. How about you hire staff for customer service?

2020-08-29I love my local Post Office especially the nice ladies who work there. Theyve always been great! I agree with the well thought review with pictures. I started to notice our US Post Offices were getting bad reviews and wondering why. I realize most reasons may be out of our immediate control.

2021-09-15Given the number of this local post office by USPS customer service to address an issue with a package being returned to sender by mistake. Phone rang constantly for an hour before going to a busy signal, telling me the person on their end took the phone off the hook.
