My parents and I used to take my girls here every time they visited…. No more. They now want to charge $9 per adult. To sit in a chair. I’m willing to pay for my participating children. If my two kids, myself and their grandparents all went it would be $65. Too bad it’s a lovely facility, I hope they make changes before my kids outgrow it.
I wish I read the reviews before coming back here - I would never have come if I knew I had to pay a “spectator fee.” They did not have this before the closures due to covid and have increased the kids prices substantially. I can buy a membership to the Children’s museum and go there two times forthe same price and that’s for my entire family! When I asked about the spectator fee I was told the owner doesn’t think it’s a bad thing - of course not- they are collecting the money for it and can use the excuse it’s due to Covid or whatever else they want to use. Lastly, when you buy the kids tickets it does not reference anything about needing to get a spectator ticket. Needless to say we won’t be coming again and I will make sure I tell everyone I know about this as well.
The price is outrageous for both kids and for non participant adults (to be able to stay and watch their kids). It cost us $90 to go and play for an hour and 45 min. Our time slot started at 12:00 and was supposed to go until 2:00. It took them until 12:20 to get us checked in (this was with us buying our tickets online ahead of time where it never mentioned having to pay for adults). I asked if we got to stay until 2:20 so we got our full 2 hours and the staff replied no you still leave at 2. It is hard to keep an eye on your child when they are up on the play areas. There is very limited visibility. Never going back again and spreading the word to others. So disappointed at everything about this “play day cafe”.
We love this place. Come as often as we can as I homeschool it’s good for the kids to play when the weather is bad. HOWEVER, I just noticed the price increase and that I have to pay 9 dollars just to sit and watch?! I would’ve brought the kids at 19 bucks each but I refuse to pay almost 10 dollars to sit and supervise my kids. No thank you. What a bummer. Lost our business.
The facility is nice and my toddler had fun! But the price is ridiculous. I wouldn’t mind paying for $19 for my toddler, but to have to pay for $9 for each parent??? No thank you. But here’s the more ridiculous thing, we also had to pay for our 5-month old!! $9 for a baby that didn’t even do anything but being carried around. Such a shame for a facility to do that. Won’t be back again.
Will you still love to bring our son here recently the prices have gone up and now you have to pay for adults to which is ridiculous when the adults aren’t even playing just supervising. The main reason we brought our one-year-old here was for social interaction but since they raise the price there are very few people so there weren’t even that many kids from to interact with.
Parents use to be free and be able to play with the kids. Use to go to this place every weekend when you could go all day with my son. Then when you could only go for 2 hours only every other week now that I have to pay to go in with him but not be able to participate I will only go if someone buys him a ticket. I would pay if i could play with him would not be mad at that juat to be clear. Its ridiculous to make a parent pay to sit there to watch him play. Almost $30.00 to go there for 2 hours for 2 people.
Their price is outrageous 18.99 for a 2 hour time slot for my 2 year old when she cant even go on all the stuff .Parents have to pay to just watch and are not allowed on the play structures. She would be upset if she couldnt go to the big section just because I cant go with her . For the price it wouldnt be worth it. Especially because parents have to pay 9$ to just watch . Cafe o play is the place to go where you can actually engage with your kids . They also have discovery zone where there are no crazy rules and you play all day for a great price 😃 play day cafe is not the place to go if u want to engage with your kids and pay a good price .
This place is amazing. Everywhere the kids can go, you can go. It had areas for different ages, skills, and a place to eat or relax. The equipment, play mats, and manipulatives were clean, cared for, and age appropriate. The bathrooms are very clean and spacious. A nursing mothermothers room as well. There are two family bathrooms. I came from Lakewood and no it was worth the drive. Fill out your waiver ahead of time to save time in line. Owner is fantastic as well. Recommend bringing a small backpack instead of purse or diaper bag. Maybe an addition could be a sensory friendly room.
The place is clean and my son who is 6 has been going here for a few years now and loves it , but now with new pricing ...i dunno I have mixed feelings . I understand the price increase to 18 that s fine but now wants 8.99 for the adults too? ...thats ridiculous . our every month trip will prob turn to 1 once a year . Its unfortunate.
They facility is fantastic for the children. Clean and plenty of seating for us parents. HOWEVER, this new system they have in place is robbery. It’s already inconvenient to book the our time slot online. Now, not only is the child an $18 fee, but now my wife and I have to pay another $9 each for entry. I’m fair usually but this, again, is robbery. There’s no incentives for the $9 fee either (complimentary coffee, popcorn, or etc.). I’ll be saving my $36 for anything else than this place.Again, the facility is very nice and my 3 year old loves it. Until they fix this unjust payment problem, we will not be coming back.
Reservations are required but when you get there they make you wait in line so they can collect $9 for each parent. They called it a spectator fee lol. That’s ridiculous it’s self along with my newborn had to pay $9 to get in the building as well. I won’t be back there are plenty of these thugs popping up everywhere
You have to have a reservation online for all those in your group participating in any festivities both adults and kids. Waivers are able to be complete online as well. Great for small kids and school ages. The facility is clean for the most part. Customer service however is not the greatest. You get 2 hours of playtime.
This was cleaned my girls had fun. My oldest daughter fell and hit her mouth against the hard floor while playing the floor screen games.. an employee came immediately and tried to help she gave us a first aid icepack but unfortunately it wasnt working and was old. We ended up buying a cold drink for her to feel soothed. The reason for the 4 stars its because they raised their prices for children and adults. Its used to be free for adults now its 8.99 .. and children were around 12.99 dollars now its 18.99... this place was okay but I dont think its worth the price. If I want to go with my husband and my 2 girls itll be over 56 dollars for 2 hours... not including tax. So we wont be going again unless they lower the prices.
Gone here for years.. it was little pricey but the kids had fun. NOW- they tell you when you can come, tell you when you have to leave (max of 2 hours there), significantly increased their prices, it’s now $18.99 per child (1 month in a baby carrier? $18.99!!), and to really take advantage they are charging parents $9.00 to walk in the door with their child. Wish I would have seen the price hike before promising my 5 year old we’d go for his birthday. Out of principal we WONT be back.
We have been coming here since the week they opened. It is clean and I like how they limit the numbers right now. But they charge 18 per kid AND 8.99 for an adult! what??? I know prices for everything are going up but for 3 kids to play for 2 hours I am now paying around $70. That’s a lot of money for what it is. I don’t think we will be coming back.
Its a cute little Play Area and the kids love it. I loved it as well, until is saw the ridiculous rase in pricing. I have 3 Kids 5 yo, 2 yo and a 1 months old baby. Before we had to pay 14$ for the older kids, and 4 for the baby. Witch is annoying as it cant do anything but lay in the babyseat but It was still okay. I didnt have to pay anything, as I obviously I am not playing. Well, now I would have not only to pay 19$ for the older kids but also for my 2 months old baby and 9$ for me. Sorry guys, you definitely lost our business and as I see many more with this ridiculous rase
Always has been a good experience but just noticed a price increase equitable to 65% to start the winter for a family of 4. Didn’t charge for adults before but now $9, and kids went from 15 to 19. I typically tolerate increases but this is gouging so I won’t be back. Covid continues to be an excuse to price gouge. Went from limiting hours to increasing costs. Good luck with that business model.
This place is great for toddlers and older kids, the toys are clean and very new. The staff is very friendly, I would highly recommend parents to take their kids to this indoor play area. There is no baby sitting area, you have to watch your own kids. Bring socks that you dont mind throwing away. You also can bring snacks and food for kids. Highly recommend completing the waiver online and showing the verification code to front desk, this will save you time if you have crying baby on your hand.
I had my sons birthday party here today. It was definitely worth the money for the services provided. Grace was our party host and she took care of everything for us so we could focus on the kids. It was great. Being able to have the play area to ourselves was very nice and allowed everyone to fully enjoy themselves without having to worry about other people. They handled the food and distributed that as well as the cake and cupcakes and cleaned up the room for us as well. The place was very clean too which made it more comfortable for the toddlers because we felt safe letting them touch and play normally. If you’re debating it because of money just pull the trigger it’s worth it.
This place was very entertaining back when it was around $11 for a child to go. They raised the price, and charge for each adult as well making it pretty ridiculously expensive compared to many other competitors in the area. Thankfully there are plenty of other places around that dont price gouge.
Updated honest review: Look at them trying to charge $5 for 0-12 months when a younger baby cant even enjoy the place. I understand businesses are struggling, but jipping people $5 is not right either. Will never return.Checked back to see if they got rid of the infant charge and now its $9 for infants and the website says the place is for 3 and up. 🤡
I called and reserved a party for this this month, I was told I was all set and they would reach out the first of the month to secure my deposit. The first came and went so I called and I got no answer. I drove up there and it was empty. I am very upset because this was a special occasion and I had to cancel it completely rather than find a new venue because it’s short notice. No one has called to apologize or inform as to what is supposed to happen on my party date. That is unprofessional, I understand the being short staffed but they could have informed me that they could not accommodate and give me a heads up so I could have planned accordingly. Put a very bad taste in my mouth doubt I deal with them again.
Used to love this place....(edit march 2022) they now require non participants to purchase a ticket as well. im sure this is to make up for money lost during covid but its a bit much to make a parent who is just going to watch their kids play around pay an extra $9. not to mention kids prices jumped from $12 to $18.99
We havent visited in a while but this place is an amazing play date place to meet up. My daughter loved meeting friends at Play Day. Lots of ways to expend some energy for young kids. Comfortable seating for parents and a delightful cafe for snacks and drinks. Excellent coffee and healthy choices to eat. We had her 7th birthday here and it was perfect. The host did all the serving, and wrapped it up to go afterwards. We put everything in the car and came back to play with the friends that wanted to stay longer. I highly recommend!
The facilities are immaculate everything is cleaned nicely and all equipment is in great condition. However, I have never experienced such rude and inconsiderate staff in my life. Your business revolves around kids entirely. I’d recommend highly reviewing the qualities in which you’re looking for in your employees. What I experienced today was people that seemed as though they’d rather be in bed than at work. Zero enthusiasm with kids what so ever nor any willingness to try and please the requests of parents paying a premium to rent this place.
I just went online to book a play date until I figured out the price it now cost. I am pretty disappointed that they are getting so greedy. Unfortunately I am not willing to pay for myself to go somewhere and watch kids play. You people really need to reconsider this decision. Greed will close your doors for good.
The facility is fun for the children, but very unprofessional establishment. They never ever answer their phones, nor do they have business hours posted anywhere online or on their website. Just a sign o the door that says you have to book online. The young lady at the front counter didnt seem to want to be there. Didnt see much staff out on the floor either. Do better!!
I take my son once every few weeks and he has a ball. he loves it. its a nice size with different play areas that keeps him busy the entire time. he always takes a nice nap right afterwards too. the staff is great as well. cant wait to take him again actually. these 1-2 star reviews are just silly. just take your kid and let them have a good time. there will be nothing to complain about if u go for that reason alone.
Always fun. However, same as always parents not watching kids and big kids take over the toddler area which leaves tots unable to play with out being plowed over by the big kids. I do not recommend for kids under 3 as this is the only area they can play in and when its over run by kids 10+ its pointless to spend $$$ on.
We recently had a birthday party for our daughter there. As far as the room, the facility and staff that helped us everything was great. The 1-star rating falls back on the manager we spoke to prior to showing up that day. We live in a religious mixed community and a fair amount of our child’s friends keep kosher because they are Jewish. We called ahead to ask if we could provide them with couple kosher friendly pizzas so they don’t have to watch other kids eat. Now I understand that you sign a waiver saying no outside food. Well you bring a cake and we were able to bring kosher cupcakes. The manager said no and presumed to explain to my wife on the phone that she is vegetarian and that’s a choice and being kosher is a choice. Right, such a great example she provided us! Probably one top 5 dumbest things I’ve ever heard. Also was told they could have provided pretzels for them. Gee thanks, manager let’s feed kids pretzels for lunch. We paid you fees, bought your food and tried to make the setting good for ALL the kids. If they could have provided proper accommodations for all the guests I would understand the situation more but they can’t do anything to meet a kosher standard. Thanks manager, you’re a rockstar holding up that company policy.
This place is awesome! Plenty of things for the kids to do, the staff is exceptionally friendly, and there are several places for parents to sit and relax while the kids enjoy themselves. I highly recommend this place to anyone who needs a place to take their kid(s) where it is safe and they can run and play until they pass out all while you relax.
I bring my 3 kids here every time I come to town to visit my parents. We’ve been coming since it first opened. Everything is always very clean, great homemade pizza and other healthy options, and so much fun for all 3 of my kids. The space is large and therefore a good energy burner :) The owner is super nice and every time I see him he is always cleaning - yay! (A moms best friend) We love this place better than any other indoor play place in the area.
Ignoring the 15 minutes it took to register with their new system.this could be a growing pains issue. But 19$ per kids plus a must spectator ticket! You cant come here without a parent , this is for little kids. So a single entry jumped from 11 to 28!We decided not to come in.Below is what I wrote 3 years ago.A great place for kids ages 2-6. This is an indoor playground. Its kind of a maze with slides and lots of foamy things. The kids go over under through up down and have a blastThey have a room with ping pong like air guns a room with little bicicles one with a projector displaying a jump on video gamesThe place is very clean. It costs about 11 per kidIt has room for the parents to bassically wait and talkThe is a small cafeteria and a place to sit and each. A large coat room and plenty of parkingIt has three party rooms. You bring your own foodMy kids 3 , 5 love the place a and dont stop runningAnd weve been to 2-3 birthday parties here and they went well. The one thing I would improve is kid to parent identification on exit.
I was introduced here by attending a birthday party my twins were invited to. It was great, more for younger kids Id say, but still a great time for the kids. My twins had a blast and we wound up coming back. They have a bunch of tasty snacks and drinks. It was extremely clean which is great considering how germ ridden kids can be lol. Overall great time and will be considering for their birthday.
Play Day Cafe doesnt want business. As other reviewers have said, its a very unprofessional establishment. They NEVER answer the phone. I needed help with my online reservation and even left a VM before the reservation cut off time but no-one answered or got back to me. I even continued to call as I drove there. When I got there they told me I was out of luck.
Bathrooms are very clean and front staff is friendly. Lots of stuff to do, from baby/toddler and I would say under 10 will enjoy this. They have floor play for kids who don’t feel comfortable climbing up in the tubes which is helpful. They have a cafe and it can be a tad pricey, just check your food because our veggies and dip had gone bad and when I told the counter girl she didn’t seem to care. But for the price it’s a nice place to go in the winter or if it’s raining.
BEWARE when booking a private party! Staff is providing false information. When I was booking my sons bday party the representative told me they will refund the money if we need to cancel in the event someone gets sick with COVID-19. They didnt refund the deposit and charged additional $75 cancelation fee. I did try to reschedule, but nothing was available for 3 month from the date of my sons birthday. Will never come back, they are making false promises to have people book, and charge ridiculous fees!Educate your staff if you are not willing to honor the promises they make to customers! Especially during pandemic, if I knew they would not refund in the event someone gets sick, I would not have booked!
There was no security at the door, which really surprised me. My young grandsons met me at the door and could have easily walked right out. The restrooms were always in need of upkeep, which wasnt happening. The fact that you have to walk around only in socks was really awful, especially on the wet bathroom floor! The kids had fun, tho....
My biggest problem is that they have no method of security to make sure the right children go home with the right adult. I dont ever go with my kids alone because I always want to make sure all the exits are covered. It would be a simple fix to tag or stamp children. Something similar to Chuck E. Cheese would have me give it 5 stars hands down. This is a great facility with many options for kids to run around and get their energy out.
Went there for the 18th time and my son and his cousins had an excellent time playing and just being free during a cold winter day. Everyone was friendly that was working that day Sunday counter-personnel at the front to the folks working at the food counter. There were a number of folks working on the floor as well keeping the kids in line and keeping an eye on the kids. This is one of the most important factors for me as a parent. We feel comfortable with letting the kids room and not hover over them every 2 seconds. We can just sit back and watch.
Place is awesome for kids. Pretty reasonably priced. (Parents are free!) They have staff walking around making sure kids are following the few rules and not killing each other. Its clean. It gets loud. You cant bring your own food, and the cafe is on the pricey side. Think movie theater food prices - $5.50 for a pretzel..Just plan ahead. Wasnt a big deal since my wife and I didnt have to pay to get in.This was the 2nd time weve gone, and wont be the last. I do recommend taking kids 3 years old and older. The bigger kids can overwhelm the littles at times. Take a look at the website for pics and more info. I wanted to take pics but didnt think it was appropriate with all the kids.
Im not sure what I expected with Play Day Cafe but I was pleasantly surprised! It was extremely clean and the staff appeared to be very attentive during the play time. Both adults and kids have to take shoe off and wear socks. Thank goodness I was wearing socks or else Id be forking over $4 for socks - yikes - but it makes sense. My 5 year old and 7 year old nephew were amused for hours and could have definitely continued to play. We will return but will plan the day different to make the most of our entrance fee! They lost a star (and really should probably change it to 3 for this reason) because our bands were not checked upon leaving. As a mother, this is extremely worrisome because essentially anyone could leave with my son. That being said, I will return but will continue to keep an extremely close eye on my son the entire time.
Had my child birthday party here. Not worth it. Over price for the little time you have the room, they spring new rules on you thats not even in the pamphlet, and my concierge was clueless until it came time for her to be rude. Awesome play area that the kids really enjoy. The pizza wasnt good at all. I would bring my child here to play but I would never do another birthday party.
My favorite indoor playground in Northeast Ohio. Much bigger than Kiddie Jungle and so much more to do. They have a cafe so you can get lunch and really good coffee for the parents. The play area is awesome. They have wiggle cars and an area to shoot balls through air guns. They have an interactive floor that kids can play on too. A baby/toddler zone and a big play area for toddlers/kids with slides and tunnels. It is just a fantastic place to let children get their energy out.
As a mom when we take our kids place the most important things are clean, safe, and fun for everyone. Well done Play Cafe! Adults are able to sit and have an adult conversation while watching our kids have a great time! The cafe has excellent selections for anyones dietary needs. The bathrooms are immaculate with a separate mothers room ( Im assuming for breast feeding). We will be back!
Its always a great time here. I like to go when its not as packed, so we usually just go throught the week, when other kids have school. This past time we went it was packed, BUT the people that work there were interacting with the kids, playing tag and other things. It was really cool to see. I had 4 kids with me 2 of them were mine and both younger than the other 2 i brought. Id have to keep looking for my older one. When i found her one of the workers was actually playing with her, crawling through the jungle gym with her. It was really cool. Id honestly recommend this place to anyone. I myself look forward to going!
It was PACKED!!! I mean good for them, really. Its an awesome facility with great play areas for the kiddos. Ill never know how they keep it so clean with so many kids running around. Even with however many people were there (I cant remember the exact number, but the nice girl at the front desk said 100+) and my 2 and 3 year old still had a really fun time.
Amazing place to take your kids to burn off some energy. It is clean and well kept. The employees are well trained and informed. The menu is healthy and nutritious. Nate the owner is a very nice man and treats his customers and employees with respect. I cant say enough, it is just a great place. Thank you from all the local parents.
Good for preschool kids and up. Price is decent for that age group. However toddlers and infants over 1 they have a small area to play on and they want 9 bucks for the child. If you have a younger kid and thats it, save your money. Its not worth going here. Its literally a small climbing area and a slide. Some blocks and a couple things on the wall.
We took my 3 year old nephew and he had the time of his life! The facility offered numerous play options, it was very clean considering that there were A LOT of small children. This will definitely be the go-to spot for indoor play.I only took a star away because the food left much to be desired and was very pricey.
Love this place! I take the girls I nanny for every week.IMPORTANT :A huge issue is again, not enough staff. Older kids that are not being supervised by their parents are running up slides, sliding in between slides, climbing on purple foundation, rough housing in the toddler area. I would love a whistle :).
This is a fun place for kids to roam around and have fun/let parents relax for a second. Its pretty clean and damage proof. My only qualm is that they wont let you tip the staff at the coffee shop there. The manager told me that didnt want to distract the parents with a tip jar, which I thought was nuts.
Good place to let your kid run around and play, but theres lots of kids running around, so watch out for yourself and your little one if you dont want them trampled. Friendly staff. No good options for food. You are to wear your socks but floors were dirty, wet, in bathroom and hall way and my table areas
This place is genius. Indoor playground for the kids and coffee for me. The only negative thing I could say is that the music is a little loud for little ears. Could be improved by using multiple smaller speakers mounted in the ceiling instead of the pair of loud speakers.Great place overall though!
My first experience at this facility was absolutely amazing. I accompanied my 4 and 2 yr old in all the play areas with no issues at all, we were there for a total of 4 hours, during that time I had to watch my children as older ones were trying to shove them out of their way to go through. I decided to bring them back knowing (well thinking I was able to watch my kids closely) this time was completely different as I had staff tell me I wasnt allowed up there with my 3 yr old daughter who was being bullied. I explained the situation to her and went right back up with my daughter in front of the staff 20 minutes later myself and another mom were getting yelled at. I asked to speak to the owner and I advised him I did not pay $30 to have my daughter bullied in his establishment, he agreed and decided he would give me a full refund as we were there for an hour. The owner and general manager both assured me I would get the money fully refunded in about 3 business days. I waited 4 days and called back to speak to the owner, he assured me I would be getting reimbursed. It has now been 3 weeks and I have yet to be reimbursed from this facility. The owner and general manager both lied to me, very disappointed with the way my daughter was being treated, and now Ive been lied to. I will NEVER recommend this place to any of my friends or family.
I have been taking my niece to this establishment for about 2 years. Originally I was able to take her through their multilevel playground. She suffers from social anxiety, so the majority of the time I’m her only friend. Today was different however. The owner was there and saw me up in the play area (waiting for my niece mind you) and motioned and sternly asked me to come down. I attempted to explain the situation by telling him that it hasn’t been an issue for the last 2 years, and he said passively that I must not have been seen (a 250lb large male with bright red hair). I wasn’t doing anything to disturb business, aside from helping a 5 year old have fun...I wasn’t however given the chance as he walked away back to his trainees. I talked to a very sweet and concerned employee at the counter who took the time to hear my plight and made me feel understood. As I was going to get the car so they didn’t have to walk in the rain, the “owner” rushed out to attempt an apology and claimed he had no idea, which was true, because he should have took the 30 seconds to listen to me. I don’t expect special treatment for any reason. The rules are in place for a reason. I get all of that, it’s hard to find a place indoor in the local area for anything suitable indoors. It will be extremely hard now that I have to refuse giving that man anymore of my business. I hope your trainees saw what you did today and they know that the situation was unacceptable. I wasn’t expecting to break the rules had I just felt like I was part of a conversation, instead I was treated as a nuisance. I would understand if I was endangering guests. I was moving slow and was respecting the other guidelines. What a shame...
Great space, solid setup. My major improvement suggestion is that the place can get loud when crowded, so I think they should install noise dampening. Its still worth the visit and the price - clean, challenging, decent food selection, and fun for kids. Mine were 3 and 4 when we went - it may be boring for older kids.
We love exploring indoor playgrounds, especially since we have a 6-year-old and a 4-year-old who have been home this summer. When its storming out, we hit the indoor play areas. Play Day Cafe has a large play area for little toddlers and a bigger play area for kids up to 12. They also have scooters, a video play area, and a place to shoot balls at each other. There is a cafe area, though it is on the pricey side. The downfall here is that the cafe is open to the play areas with no separators, so if you want a quieter cafe experience where you can have conversations with other parents, this may not be the right place if its crowded.
When I was at the Play Day Cafe with my two daughters, the staff was very nice and welcoming. When I tried to make small talk with the other parents, it was not welcomed and Im not sure why they treated me in such a cold manner. I was the only adult male customer, but Id hope that wasnt the reason. Ill go back, since my one daughter had a great time. Hopefully what I experienced was a one time thing.
I met my friend and her children on a weekday morning to play - it was not busy at all. My daughter tripped over a mat and fell into the bottom of a slide. She bled badly and we ended up needing to go to the ER for treatment. The staff showed little care and concern for her during the time that I was calming her down although the injury was obvious and they were aware she was hurt.I gave two stars because my older child enjoys the play area and it is a clean facility.
If you are unfamiliar with the feeling of faux hospitality, simply spend five minutes at Play Day Cafe. For it is here that you will find the most unpleasant, unhelpful and downright rude behavior delivered with a manufactured grin slash smirk by all staff members.Honestly, youll be lucky if you last five minutes before the feelings of inconvenience, frustration and/or annoyance dont overpower you. For being a place that markets itself as a place that caters to families, their ability to inconvenience new mothers, alienate grandparents, and disrespect parents is unparalleled.I cannot DISCOURAGE you more strongly to never, EVER spend a moment (or a dollar) at this establishment. I could further elaborate on the nearly comically horrendous treatment my family and guests experienced at my sons recent birthday party, but Ill refrain.I do want to be sure that if there is any good that can come from this experience, its to prevent any fun-loving, kind, considerate, and thoughtful family from stepping foot in this establishment.
I gave two stars because my kids enjoyed playing. I will not come here again though. If am not in the play area but sitting in the cafe area why do I have to wear socks or take my shoes off on a vinyl floor. But if I’m standing or waiting for a Birthday party to end I can walk all over the play area with my shoes on? Sitting in the shoe area I heard a lot of parents come and complain about how obnoxious the staff was being about the matter and how 4.25 for a pair socks is ridiculous! I agreed. This policy needs to be reviewed and revised.
The facility is nice, however my older kiddos (5&6yrs old) get jumped on if they step foot in the toddler area, while they are just playing with their baby sibling. They arent being crazy or rough housing which I could see an issue with- however when there are other children literally punching and hitting my kids they stand there and say nothing. The last 2 times Ive been there I have had to yell at other peoples children because parents arent watching and my kids are getting slapped and pushed while the staff stands there and watches.Maybe the staff should be more concerned with other children hitting each other compared to a kid building a block tower with their baby sibling.
We’ve brought our grandchildren here multiple times. We had a birthday party for our grandson. We paid $325 for the party. I walked in carrying some bottled water for the kids. I was told I was not allowed to bring in bottled water.I spoke to the owner ... Nate.Nate’s response was even though we spent $325, we were not allowed to bring in bottled water. It’s “POLICY”. As Nate said, “It’s not Play Day Cafe’s fault.” I am sorry that you didn’t know our policy”.To make matters worse, as I was speaking to Nate, another family brought in food for their family. I asked Nate about it and his response was inadequate. As a business owner myself, we make exceptions all the time to “Policy”.I believe the correct thing to have done would have been for Nate to say, “We’ll make an exception. We’re a party center and we like to handle all the food”.When our granddaughter has her birthday, Play Day Cafe of Solon will not be an option. We will go to a more accommodating place. Sorry Nate ... We have to give you a 1 star review. You were right and the customer was wrong.
A fantastic place to take your energy bound toddlar! Plenty of room for climbing, jumping, and running for tiny ones! Socks are mandatory which I personally think is a great idea and you are responsible for your own child they only have workers watching when it is super busy. Both parent and kid get a wrist band saying who you are and only 2 adults per kid so I like that there really isnt any wondering adults or teens, truley a fantastic place for young kids to play.
Took my son here for a play date. He had a blast until we were leaving and his shoes were missing from our cubby. Spoke with a manager and she took down my info and stated that they would call me tomorrow after reviewing surveillance.Update: I was able to speak with the owner Nate a few times to reconcile the issue and he was extremely kind and accommodating. I was reimbursed for his stolen shoes and received a credit for us to return. I truly appreciate the understanding and glad we can go back to his fav place!
My niece mentioned Play Day Cafe to me for us to take our sons but before we could go and try it out, I decided to go and have my sons 4th birthday party there solely based off of the website. This place was PHENOMENAL!!!!!! Very clean, the staff was superb with their customer service, and the owner personally introduced himself to me and made us all feel very welcome. My son and I will definitely be a regular at this establishment. Thank you Play Day Cafe!
I used to give this place 5 stars but you can tell its so run down. And the price hasnt gone down. Very expensive when youre trying to get your kid some indoor fun. Time to replace some things that are broken and keep on top of cleaning the bathrooms. The bathroom counters are always soaked with water. Gross. Also, I paid $2.70 for a small little bottle of chocolate milk and if my daughter wasnt in the middle of a meltdown i wouldnt have bought it. What really grinds my gears is that they dont recycle. There are recycle bins out back but they dont have any for all customers to recycle. Why wouldnt they do everything to make the planet better for the kids?? And for Petes sake, GET NEW MUSIC
Good deal an price for all day play for kids, mine 5 and 2 only exception is on saturday an sunday it is busy with lots of kids and bday parties, so if you want to go through the jungle gym with your toddler on these days your not permitted to do so. Which is understandable since their are so many kids running. Best days are during the week. Food is pricey. But Overall good place and fairly clean. - WATCH YOUR KIDS !
Awesome place for the kids...I went at 12pm and super crowded (on weekday) and then 530pm in weekday and no one there which I like so we have run of the place :) lots to do for all ages...id say perfect for ages 1 to 7 or 8...older kids too the site says up to age 12 but I think younger children will enjoy best. There are snack options..healthy choices. ..and coffee and lattes etc for adults. They say smoothies coming soon since as of now just open few was. 12 bucks to get in was well worth to us..even the time my 3 or old stayed just 1 hr. Also great when kids are climbing and going thrust tunnels you can pretty much see them from the ground anywhere they are up high. I do wish they will soon come out w monthly or yearly passes or possibly after so many visits you get 1 free :). Oh and NO STROLLERS CAN COME INSIDE AND EVERYONE INCLUDING ADULTS HAVE TO BE NO SHOES BUT HAVE SOCKS ON (NO BARE FEET)...and you cant bring in your own food or drink :) well worth it though especially as its getting colder
Took my son and daughter for a birthday party. My friends, who are making the party, ordered everything through play day cafe. They had lots of food, drinks and cake. My children however had to watch the other children enjoy pizza and cake without getting any. My friend tried to order kosher food, on top of all the food she had ordered through play day cafe, only to be told that my religious law of only eating kosher, something I have been doing since birth, as have my children, and every generation before me, in the words of the manager “IS A DIETARY CHOICE. JUST LIKE HER OWN CHOICE TO BECOME VEGETARIAN, MY RELIGIOUS COMMANDMENT TO EAT KOSHER IS A CHOICE” and so they couldn’t accommodate and extra few slices of pizza that would have allowed my son to be included in the party.STOP ANTI-SEMITISM!!
Expansive indoor playground, perfect for rainy days or during the less accommodating months in the Cleveland area. There is a huge and expansive system of tunnels filled with all kinds of different fun activities. There is even a smaller playground for kids under 3. Definitely a go to, I drive 40 mins fromWilloughby Hills to come here and it’s always worth it.
This place is amazing , taking three kids was a break for me and my husband . So much for them to do everything spaced and age friendly . So many employee every where making sure play is safe for the kids . Food area love the staff ,Daysha t. And Dabrionne s. Amazing girls even though i took a while to order food for my kids they where very eduated on the food they served thank you for the experience.
What a joke! Overpriced playground. Waited an hour to get through signed in and to register then wasnt allowed to pay cash for daughters birthday and friends. It was the American currency so i thought but I guess girl at counter wouldnt know bout that seeing how she is only 12. Extremely crowded. Kids beating up kids while staff watches. Kids were bored very quickly. Wouldnt recommend this place to ANYONE! !!! Save your money, get a pizza and go to the park!
Nice place for family.. Entrance signup is way to painful and time asking... Nice concept.. Shoes off the moment I walk in? Should be in play area.. Nothing like being in socks to go to bathroom with little ones dribbling all over floor and have to walk in it.. Great concept that needs fine tuning.. Food available with poor menu
Kids r rude and parents pay no mind to their childrens behavior. Within 20 minutes I had 3 different children tell my boys they could not come up a certain tunnel, or ride on the little scooters, and lastly told they werent able to play with the cool shapes in the toddler section as 2 other toddlers felt that they were there and didnt want to share I had to explain to these other peoples children that it is not nice to not share and all my boys were trying to do is to play with them too and have fun. The unknown children listened takankfully but geez where r u PARENTS? LOST in ur facebook/phone or whatever while u pay no attention to your child whatsoever is absolutely risic. To those parents step ur game up and instill some values in your children before they become self entitled bullies! I mean we all know thats what we need more of in this world entitled thankfulness brats step your game up so called parents.

2022-01-30Our 2.5 yr old had a blast. there is a lot of different paths through to take. it is not the biggest place but it is fun. One disappointment is the price for “non participants” (read parents). not sure how great of a business decision it is to charge per person and given the rate.

2022-03-05The place used to be great but today we came and had to pay an extra per adult as a “spectator fee”.Also the price for toddlers is double what it used to be. I was not told adults had to pay until arrival with that being said I will tell my friends the place is not worth it. Also the staff was very unfriendly and rude.

2022-02-26Super cute place! I like the reservations, not as crowded and easier to watch the kids. Love all of the climbing areas and the toddler zone is nice. Only dropping it to 4 stars bc it’s sort of over priced, 18.99 per kid, I think over 3. I also don’t love that parents have to pay 8.99 a person. Overall it’s definitely a fun place to kill sometime and have the kids burn energy

2022-06-26Good place to bring your kids for playdates & birthday parties. But beware if you were here in the past. No more healthy meals & snacks ( I was looking forward to some hummus) . Also pre-pandemic parents got in free. I understand that price change but you cant take out the café and charge the parents. Not sure if Ill be back.

2022-06-26We got a gift card for my daughters Birthday to come here. My daughter just turned 3 and is very shy and nervous at times. I intentionally picked a weekend my husband could play with her as Im 9 months pregnant. I was shocked when we got here to find out that we werent able to go through any equipment with our toddler but were required to pay $9.99 a person to stand and watch. I feel like its extremely overpriced for what it is and the staff was less than friendly.

2022-06-26The kids love it here but man what a poor business decision to make nonparticipating kids or parents pay 9$ to watch your kids play I was wondering why it is so empty on a Sunday they even made us pay for a newborn who’s 4 weeks old there reason was cause she’s in the building… for the price I’ll be taking them to urban air or sky zone I hope they change

2022-01-29We have been frequent visitors of this place since my daughter has been 9 mo old. With the price increase and having to pay for an adult is outrageous. We have not been back since everything went up. I could understand the price increase If we could stay longer than 2 hrs but making the parents pay to simply watch is crazy. This place is so clean and everyone for the most part is super friendly! We loved it until the prices went crazy

2022-01-27Went here once and it was fine. Then the price increase made me never want to come back. Not to mention the reviews that talk about how they treated someone with religious dietary restrictions among other accounts of being treated poorly. Go to Cafe O Play. Much nicer staff and better pricing.

2022-03-16We used to LOVE Play Day Cafe prior to Covid. We were coming at least once a month for quite some time. We live nearly an hour away but it was worth the drive. The facility is great, and always clean. The coffees are pricey but good too.My son just turned 8 so hes getting to be on the older side to visit, but he absolutely loved going when he was younger and he asked if we could go during spring break. I went online to see what the current reservation process includes. I was very disappointed when I saw the new pricing structure. The per-child rate is now $18.99 (used to be $12), each reservation is limited to 2 hours (used to be unlimited for the day), parents and non-partisants, including infants of ANY age (including a newborn in a wrap/carrier) also must now purchase a mandatory $8.99 paid ticket to enter with the child. So for my husband and I to take my 8 year old to play for 2 hours would cost us $37+ instead of the $12 it cost for a full afternoon prior to Covid. Also, adults are discouraged from climbing in the play structures with this children, so theyre essentially paying for the privilege of escorting their child into the building and then sitting and starting at them from a distance. I am all for a reservation system, and understand the need for regulating entry. The 2 hour limit seems a bit short to me, but its the charging for caregivers at an indoor playground facility that I find to be beyond absurd. My son is disappointed, but we will NOT be going back. This blatant greed has completely changed my opinion on the entire company.

2022-03-19Price change is ridiculous! Loved taking my toddler to this place and meeting my friends for play dates with their children but unfortunately they recently started price gouging so we have been going to other places. I understand the price of everything has gone up but this is EXCESSIVE! $30 to take one child with one parent, really?! If I had multiple children I wouldn’t even consider this place an option. Sad.
