Clean, well-organized waiting room with charging cables for devices and seats to accommodate folks with different body sizes. Very respectful, have never mis-gendered me (which is really awesome), have listened to my needs and been very up-front about costs and potential billing issues.

Always so patient, kind, speedy and helpful. Always gets me in faster and is cheaper than any other gyno too. Now that Im older I will always patronize PP and donate when I can.

Planned Parenthood has always been synonymous in my mind with compassionate, affordable womyns healthcare - especially for the uninsured and underinsured. When times were hard, I sought care from them and when times were good I donated what I could. I have always supported this organization in any way I could. At some point during the dark years from 2016-2020, Planned Parenthood could no longer offer affordable healthcare, thanks to all-out attacks from an administration that sought to shut them down. At least, thats what I was told when I called for an annual exam Id hoped to pay on their sliding fee scale, only to be informed it no longer existed. They specifically told me it was because they had been stripped of any government funding by a hostile administration. So, when I called them a few months ago, I had hoped this funding had been reinstated. No such luck. Out of desperation for a cancer screening I was well overdue for, I made an appointment anyway and the clinician was kind enough to give me a phone number to call for financial assistance with healthcare. I called, I left a message. No one ever called me back. This morning, a new symptom arose. Again, out of desperation, I called Planned Parenthood. Once again, I was told their fee is $265 - and I could pay the low price of $179 if I pay all at once (Seriously - how many people can do this?? Honestly, if I was a baller like that, I wouldnt be asking about their sliding fee scale and probably wouldnt be seeking healthcare in the inner city.) By comparison, the for-profit clinic I was using when I had insurance is $224 per visit for a self-pay patient - $40 cheaper than the non-profit PP clinic. Not to mention, the PP scheduler displayed zero compassion and droned her way through our call like a freaking automaton, even as I literally broke down in tears over the phone because I was so completely stuck between a rock and a hard place, needing healthcare I cannot afford. It is beyond sad what this Planned Parenthood clinic has become. They used to be a beacon for female-bodied humans who couldnt afford healthcare - now they seem to be operating on a for-profit business model thats gouging patients unlucky enough to fall through the cracks of our so-called healthcare system (job = no Medicaid/low pay = no money to buy healthcare). Also, I have to say Im not a fan of the schedulers demanding to know my pronouns before theyll speak to me. While some may think this is a woke practice, I find it very rude and invasive that I would be expected to come out to a total stranger over the phone - especially when Im dealing with a health issue! This is an outrageous practice that needs to stop. If I volunteer my pronouns/gender identity to a complete stranger, then that is my choice. Do not force me into this as a barrier to scheduling a health appointment. At the very least, this should be an invitation and not a demand: Would you like to tell me your preferred pronouns? NOT Whats your name, what are your pronouns? My pronouns are a more complex discussion than the usual trinary options of she/her, he/him or they/them. Im not getting into this with a random receptionist at a health clinic and I dont need the internal conflict of having to either lie to avoid further discussion or tell someone the truth when such a demand is made: its none of your freaking business, just schedule my appointment please. Not to mention, it is completely unnecessary for the scheduler to know my pronouns since they will only be referring to me either by my name or you in our brief discussion.Luckily, I found a new beacon of hope today in the Neighborhood Health Association and booked an appointment with Navarre Park Health Center. The woman I spoke to over the phone was very friendly, helpful and compassionate and thank goodness they offer a sliding fee scale. I wish I had discovered them sooner. Sadly, I was so loyal to Planned Parenthood that I couldnt imagine finding another affordable womyns clinic before but Im so very grateful I have found them now!

Great resource. Poor billing and administrative department. Filled out forms before appointment and paid my co-pay day before my appointment. Day of appointment none of my forms or co-pay transfer over. Later was told I had a bill from years ago?

Honestly such a sweet and patient staff. I’ve never had any issues. They’re great at making sure you’re comfortable and also ensure that you’re well informed on whatever you have questions about. Thank you for being a safe space PPH, keep up the great work! (:

Fairly upset. Went to planned parenthood because I was in financial difficulty. They took one look at me and sent me to the ER. Still had to pay for the examination I got here and now I have to pay and even more expensive emergency room bill. The ER didnt even do any thing. They looked and said it was fine, decided some antibiotics and sent me away.Edit - the ER sent me multiple bills. I went to you guys for advice and now Im worse off than I was before. It would have been cheaper if I went to the ER originally.

Absolutely horrible. Normally I go to a different network PP but this was my first and only time trying this place. It took them months to bill my insurance (I had switched insurance providers by the time they billed). Then it took them SEVEN months to send me an invoice (to a location I no longer even lived since it had been so long). So you can expect my shock when I finally heard I had a bill from ten months ago that I thought was behind me. I’ve contacted billing a couple times and no one can give me a good answer and just blame my insurance even though I had never had a problem before. I wish I had never went here.

I went in for an IUD. I didn’t expect to get it on the same day, but they gave me the option and I went for it! Everyone was very compassionate and patient with me. Although placement of the IUD was painful (which was expected), I left the office feeling confident that I made the right choice. It was the least stressful doctors visit I’ve had in a LONG time. Thank you for all you guys do!

Absolutely loved my visit here. I went to get birth control and the staff and nurses were very patient and polite. They give you a bag filled with information and other personal stuff. It was my first time and they were sweet and nice, made me feel so comfortable.
