HAD TO TAKE LEGAL ACTION!! I had a membership years ago and cancelled my membership due to there not being a facility where I moved out of town. When I called in to cancel I was told that everything was taken care of and that my membership was cancelled. Fast forward to now I move back home and went to rejoin and was told that I have a $500+ balance but I was only told this after I showed up to work out after paying for a new membership (why would their system let me sign up and take my money if I have a balance owed?). When I arrived mind you this is not the former home location but I was told I could not workout after that day until the balance I had no idea about was cancelled from another location.. I called and spoke to Gabby and she told me that they can reduce the amount from $500+ to $104 or she can cancel my membership (mind you she told me she could cancel over the phone) ( and that’s a big gap to take off if I truly owed that amount so that to me is odd to reduce it to that) she told me to think about it and call back and that she was putting a note in my account so that whomever I speak with when I call back could cancel if I chose to, so I did. Last night planet fitness takes $40+ out of my account and when I call about it, I find out that Gabby lied on my account and did not put what she told me she was putting on my account and that my membership is not canceled and that she was not going to argue with me about it, mind you she’s speaking over me, cutting me off and was beyond rude and argumentative with me. So I told her thank you for showing out on that phone call because I was recording her and I hung up and called my lawyer.. I advise anyone who deals with them to record the phone calls and call a lawyer. This is NOT how a business is supposed to be ran they are ROBBING people by still charging after they have cancelled on multiple occasions! How are you taking my money for a service you say I can not use but then won’t even put the money towards the $104 you claim I can pay I would of been willing to accept that plan but at this point I want nothing to do with planet fitness.. CALL A LAWYER

Make sure you don’t forget to cancel your membership because there is no refund even if you have not been in the gym in months. My fault for not paying more attention but you’d think they’d be a little more understanding. And yes this is petty of me but I’m broke and now I’m out of 41 bucks that could have been gas money. Bad timing :(

Great place to workout! It is very clean, the staff are totally upbeat and friendly. This location has plenty of water bottles for purchase I bought mine from here especially for the price! Honestly you get pretty awesome deals each month for signing up and you will love the staff!

This isn’t my favorite PF location. It was enough to make me upgrade so i can visit different locations. I originally had a membership with South High and wanted to change to a place closer to work.This location is extremely crowded and not very beginner friendly. the tight space makes it difficult for those with anxiety around working out. it’s usually pretty busy.i saw the sign on the door that said if you don’t have a mask the front desk will provide one. staff said they didn’t have any, so i had to walk all the way back to my car which was parked pretty far away. not the biggest deal, but pretty inconvenient as a first time visitor.there are two stair machines, which are my favorite and the reason i have a gym membership. one is broken and the other is usually occupied. the room is super cramped and crowded.i prefer locations with less foot traffic and more spacious areas. i didn’t see any stretching or ab areas in this gym either, and stretching is a must for me before a workout. overall not a great location.

Franchise owner please contact meNew manager is pushing people out daily. This includes employees. I respect policies, but not poor approach. Polaris PF is immaculate, has great customer service and took time to explain policies to me. I’ve been a member for nearly 3 years and unfortunately Clintonville PF has declined heavily. The smith machines are not placed properly, equipment repairs are extensive and the gym is very small. I started my change there at 407 pounds and I’m happy to report I’m now 215-20. It’s sad today will be the last day I enter the building.I understand the rules, but was unaware of the bag policy. I’ve never been approached before, so was baffled. I chose to leave, but was followed by the new manager when I said I would leave to go to Polaris. It’s far superior in service and hours. The new manager made two regular members feel unwelcome.Polaris has been gaining more and more members who are extending their days and driving north.

Not only does this Planet Fitness have less equipment than all the planet fitnesses I have been in, but the repair time for machines that are down (quite a few) is slow. They removed a number of machines for social distancing, but since that it not required in the gym anymore they have retuned some, but not all. I am not sure why all have not been returned, as all of the treadmills are open and they’re not 6 feet apart.Additionally, they are not 24/7 and have limited hours compared to other gyms that are not 24/7 (even though two large decals on the front doors say “24/7”). I have asked multiple times when they will go back to 24/7 hours, like the agreement of the membership states, but they keep citing ‘lack of staffing’ as an issue. Management needs to pay more so that people will actually want to work there.Today, I tried to enter the gym and I realized I had forgotten my mask at home. No worries right? The sign on the front door says masks required, but that if you don’t have one there will be some at the front desk. I ask the worker (who has her mask around her chin LOL) for a mask, and she says they do not have any and that I cannot enter the gym. One glance around the gym will reveal about half of the guests not wearing a mask as they walk around. Literally every other business I have been in and asked for a mask when I forgot mine or it broke have provided me with one.

I don’t understand the logic of forcing people to have a mask as they walk in and then allowing people to remove it once you check in. Not only that, but not providing extra masks so if you don’t have one you can’t work out at all.
