First time for my mother and I... such a great place to eat. We even took my 85 year old father 5 piece chicken wings. He loved them and was happy we thought of him. We always take him foods, we try to keep him eating... one of his favorite foods.
Everyone was nice and very helpful. Our waitress answered all are question and helped me to choose the Thai chicken pizza. Which was out of this world good. We will be back. It was one of the best pizza cottage we have been too.
The food was delicious. Staff was kind and courteous. They seemed short staffed so we did go without drinks for a while. I know it seems like something small to be upset about but you need a drink while eating. Other thank that it was a great experience.
We had a wonderful experience dining at pizza c outages Sunday eve. The food was delicious and our server Sarah was a complete delight.
Food was ok, not great. Wait was ridiculous. We waited almost 2 hours to eat and they werent even busy so if you have small children and that get impatient then Id choose somewhere else

Great sit down pizza place. Pizza is thin and crispy and they use the small, spicy and crispy pepperoni. Yummy! Cheese bread is incredible. Wash it down with an ice cold beer. Can eat outside if the weather permits. Great place and will be back!
Never again. After 15 mins, had to ask for our waitress who took our order. 30 mins later still didnt have our drinks or salad. Again, had to ask about our drinks and salad from a different waitress. 20 later got everything at once and no silverware. Again had to ask another waitress to help us. No napkins. Food was barely even warm. Mine was dry, chicken was weird and chewy and some I couldnt eat.The manager sat in a booth the whole time with what I think was the Asst manager doing nothing. While everyone there was complaining about no service, long wait and terrible food. Our waitress had no clue what she was doing. Apparent lack of training
Very disappointed. Ordered carry out, had to take some of order back and have them remake a new batch because it was burnt, hard as a rock and inedible and then we get home to eat the pizza and the crust was soft almost rubbery texture. Not worth almost $50 we paid for the small amount of not very good cheaply made food!
We ordered the lunch special. 1/2 sub, fries and a drink. The only issue we had was the hair that was found deep fried on a French fry. Waitress was very attentive and very polite. She took cate of the issue right away.
Best pizza in town. There meatball subs are the bomb. So glad they came to Athens.
The servers were backed up because of staff shortages. Thats ok. But the pizza was the worst I ever had. It had a bad flavor and the crust was cracker thin. I wont go back.
Nothing was good about this place. Order was wrong and food was subpar. Ordered a Mexican pizza with extra jalapenos and what I got was a pizza with lettuce. Bread sticks and drinks were ordered several minutes before entree and everything came out together. Asked for another unsweet tea and the garbage they brought me was so sweet I damn near choked on it. Servers spent more time walking around doing nothing or playing on their phones instead of cleaning off the dirty tables and cleaning the food up off the floor. Definitely a one and done visit!!!

Listen, I grew up next to the original Pizza Cottage at the lake. I used to eat the stuff at least weekly and loved it. I understand that prices tend to go up over time, but $17.99 for a large pepperoni pizza?That’s seventeen dollars and ninety-nine cents. For one pizza. With one topping. Are you kidding me?Not a chance. Lower your prices, by like, a third.
So as to be expected the waitresses are still trying to figure stuff out. Luckily for us one of the other waitresses came over and took good care of us. The food is what we were hoping for from pizza cottage! The pizza is phenomenal and the appetizers are pretty good especially the cheesy bread. Im glad PC came to athens and gave us a great family style sit down pizzeria!
Id give 5 stars on customer service and satisfaction but my party sat and ordered our all food, it was great other than waiting extra 20 minutes on the pizza for it to come out skimpy blt with barely any Mayo or lettuce. While table next to us ordered with a different server 20 minutes after us and got all there food first. And a stacked blt pizza with a inch of lettuce.
Service was great. Food was fine but no flavor nothing unique about it. We tried all the way pizza, Italian sub and white pizza. They had no red white vinegar. Just blah flavor. Fresh cut stuff, just no flavor to any of it. Over all expensive for what you’re getting.
Service was good but the food was not very good. We tried the spaghetti and chicken fettuccine Alfredo. To which my daughter labeled the spaghetti as dollar tree spaghetti. I did advise the waitress and she said um well... maybe next time youll get something better. Total order. Cheese bread app. 5 mild traditional wing. Fettuccine Alfredo add chicken (dinner) with garlic bread. Spaghetti with meat sauce. (Dinner) with breadstick. And a 7 inch personal cheese pizza. 1 pitcher of mick ultra an unsweet tea and a Pepsi. Will I come back again most likely yes but it will be awhile.
Lackluster service, we received our appetizer after our meals arrived. The food was decent, and I liked how you the personal pan pizza was small enough for one person. Once management irons out the problems, this place will be o.k.
We got there after 7 on a Saturday night. We have never been and was excited to try the new place in Athens.Waited a bit for a waitress to get our drink order.. but I expected that so no biggie.My husband said his sub was OK.. he got the Philly Sub.I got a pizza sub (very dry & and a lot of the mini pepperoni was EXTRA CRISPY) I still ate half brought the other half home. I also got a side of spaghetti -which was my favorite!My daughter got a Mexican pizza she said was very good!! She also got a side of alfredo( she said it was disgusting-her words)noodles clumped together and tasted weird.My son got the blt pizza.. he said it was good.We also got breadsticks (super yummy) and fried pickles- they was 👌.One box for everyones food when we left.I definitely do not think the meal was worth the $73+.We will try it again, maybe once they have been open a bit longer and get into their groove.
Food was not good at all! Service sucked when they were not even busy. Wings were not good, and the alfredo is DISGUSTING. I’ve seen posts the kitchen manager has made about Shade on State Street of him downgrading the place. Very sad to see someone running a kitchen in the food industry talk down on another food industry. I believe his name is Byron or Bryan and was an employee there at one point. Anyhow not a very good experience, take your money to Shades!!! Wings are good (as well as their pizzas😉.) Service is awesome, food is cheap and very good sized portions. Ice cold beer along with manyyyy alcohol choices!

I had a problem with an order that they made incorrectly and after trying to resolve the issue for over 3 hours the issue still wasnt resolved. I spoke to a guy who told me that I had to call Doordash despite the fact that they made the food incorrectly and hung up on me. I called him back and he refused to give me his name (pretty cowardly in my opinion) and threatened to block my number and hung up on me again. Terrible service. If this is the type of employees they have I think I would not reccomend it to anyone which is too bad because I have spent over $500 there since they opened. I will be making 1 more trip there in the next couple of days to speak to their GM and see what he has to say.
The waiter was extremely nice, made my party of 7 feel very welcome. Atmosphere was fantastic, it was also very clean inside.
Nice atmosphere. Great sit down place, relaxing. Pizza was ok. I was expecting a little better. Our crust was burnt on the bottom. Sauce was good but the whole pizza together wasnt great, just ok.
Its decent pizza. Slightly better than the regular fast food pizza chains but pretty similar quality. Their fried pickles are pretty top notch, though.
My family and I went in on Sunday afternoon and it was bad from the beginning, My wife and I ordered salads to go with our pizza well my salad was messed up and it took awhile to fix it. Then when I was going to pay I was told I paid for a different table so they had to go fix that. They had a server/host walking around in short shorts. Guy was one miss step from getting a ball hair in someones food.
We sat down to a lovely meal pizza was not that great could’ve used more sauce chicken wings had more grease than sauce not that good chef salad was not a “chef salad” and Alfredo was like from microwave dinner no flavor. Stomach hurts now 😂

Good pizza. Had a side order of ravioli with Alfredo which was pretty good as well. A bit pricey, but still worth a shot for a nice meal.

2022-06-08The pizza was good. My husband didnt care for the thin sliced but said it was good. They were very under staffed but shout out to the ones that showed up. Our server was over whelmed but did her best.

2021-11-20Very quick service. Ordered cheese bread, bread sticks and 3 pizzas. Waitress was very nice. Food arrived fast, and was great. Clean restrooms, great decor with the football games on various TVs.

2021-11-14The environment is clean and looks really nice, however, it’s extremely pricey for what you get. I ordered a personal buffalo chicken pizza with mushrooms and banana peppers. The pizza was around $8.50 for a 7 inch, plus $1.19 for each additional topping. So for my 7inch pizza with chicken, mushrooms, and banana peppers with buffalo sauce, it was roughly $ 11. Additionally, your pizza is served on a piece of cardboard, not a plate so it makes it feel like it came out of a box. The pizza didn’t taste bad, but it definitely wasn’t worth $11 given it’s size and that it came on cardboard. For two personal pizzas and an appetizer of 6 mozzarella pieces, it was $27. This place is nice, but not worth the price.

2021-10-16My partner and I walked away from Pizza Cottage calling the establishment Pizza Tent because the new name better reflected the quality of the food, service, and atmosphere.As soon as we entered the building, a delicious aroma hit our noses. We were excited as we waltzed through the aisles adorned with generic pizza restaurant decor. Service was slow, but the place was busy. We ordered the jalepeño poppers, which were underwhelming. They came to our table lukewarm and werent crispy. They tasted like boxed jalepeño poppers from the frozen aisle at the grocery store. Dare I say, Sonic has a much stronger popper game.Next, we ordered one personal pizza each. My partner got a Mexican pizza, which was just okay. It tasted just like a burrito from Taco Bell. I got the loaded baked potato pizza. It was very simple. The crust was thin and the flavor was as expected. Neither pizza wowed us, yet, the pizzas were somehow still the best part of our meal.We topped off our meal with a dessert pizza. If Gordon Ramsay filmed an episode of Kitchen Nightmares at Pizza Cottage, the entire 30 minute episode could have been Ramsay scraping off the sugar pile from the top of the dessert pizza. The toppings actually formed a pile, with a heaping one inch tall pile of brown sugar and cinnamon in the middle of the pie. The flavors were overpowering and one note.it was literally just brown sugar and cinnamon on crust. There was so much sugar, it was like I was biting through a pile of sand.After a faux pas with our check, we left the restaurant feeling simultaneously hungry from the mismatched portion sizes and ill from the dessert pizza.There are plenty of better pizza places in Athens. Unless you are a dad who wants to watch the football game and throw back a few Coronas while your kids eat cheap pizza, I would not recommend this place.

2022-07-03We had a cauliflower crust pizza - not all cauliflower crusts are created equal. Ive had some that werent so good and some that were excellent. I would rate this one as the next to the best that Ive had. Quality and amount of toppings were great, no complaints. Our server was attentive but not a nuisance. Some pizza places will charge extra if you order one of their specialty pizzas and substitute an item. Pizza Cottage didnt do that which made me a very happy camper! We will plan to return.

2021-11-03Great food, fast service, and a welcome sit down pizza place with lots of room. Get the Sicilian crust when you can. I do wish there were some better specialty pizzas, but the topping choices pretty much cover everything.

2022-02-10Update.......... we chose to go back tonight calling this time and the pizzas we received were amazing! Thank you for making this experience 20 times better than the last! Kudos to the guy working tonight!!!Fast service maybe when you go in to eat but dont dare to order online! Most places push online ordering like this one and still didnt make our food. We waited an hour after putting our order in and recieved the confirmation email that it would be ready in 25 minutes. After waiting said our was told they hadnt even made our order! Dont offer online ordering if you can not read online orders or just ignore them!!!!

2022-04-07My first time there. It was a strange atmosphere but it may not be that way all the time. No dedicated bar tender at lunch time and she was not too pleasant. People were coming in and leaving right away which I never did figure out. They have local beers and the sub was decent. I would like to try the pizza.

2022-06-01This was the most scrumptious,incredible,fantastic,delicious,beautiful, and truly influential pizza I have ever had in my life. I think that just through eating this pizza I have taken a type of communion and that the pope has blessed this lunch. 10/10 would and will come back. The breadsticks were indescribable as well.
