I am a new resident owner of four months. I am quite impressed with the management team and the maintenance crews that work at Pikewood. Everywhere you look you see new construction and updating of the infrastructure especially the concrete driveways. The third-party that does this work are highly qualified cement finishers and have a great deal of pride in their finished product.( Rules) it is wonderful that the management does care about and enforce their rules! The end result is a clean neat appearing community. As long as we have a strong management team our community Will continue to be a outstanding place to live in Elytra.
This is the worst place to go you can’t even be outside and talk on the phone with out getting harassed never in my life has this ever been a thing they pick and choose who to leave tickets on there car they say u can’t park on the curb but there’s multiple cars parked on the curb I highly don’t recommend coming here
Always feel safe here, the new homes are lovely (though I wish they included car ports to shield the cars as there are a lot of valuable trees that need to be saved that break the noise of the turnpike on the backside.) Interested to see how the new management handles this park, so far so good!
This is a wonderful place to live have no problem with the security very clean nice Recreation Area for the children. Nice pool for the family they have the YMCA and the local community college does aqua aerobics on Tuesdays and Thursdays clean area well-kept the Managements make sure that no one leaves a mess
After a rough start with Pikewood, Kent Sommers took the time to sit down with me and work things out. I appreciate the dedication he has to his tenants and I am grateful he was willing to work with me even after my attitude towards his staff. After two years, my only complaint is that my children are not allowed to use the bathroom at the clubhouse. We go to the park weekly, but must go home each time my 4 or 2 year old have to use the restroom. I hope this changes in the future but it will not keep the kiddos from enjoying the playground.
I wish I could give this place 0! Run, do not pass go and collect $200.00, but they sure will, and fish and fish to find an excuse not to get you in.. You can make $2,000 a week and have a credit score of 850, but golly, you owe that hospital bill of $200.00 you forgot to pay 10 years ago and DENIED. They are a scam!!! Do not waste your money. You can be 92 and on your deathbed and get in though.
You get nothing but hassles for the expensive lot rental of $475 a month as of 3/20/19. You stop to file a complaint and call time and time again but Carol, the PM, never calls you back.My rent has gone up every year since 2015.Over the past year or so all the storm drains get blocked with debris. Which causes flooding that overflows into my lot and under my mobile home. Excessive moisture is causing soft subfloors and rusted supports. I have to keep their drains clean myself. There was a sunken storm drain plate at the end of my drive that needed repairing. Two ripped tires and 2 years of dealing with this sunken drain plate they finally replaced it. The broken curb never got fixed. Patio has big cracks in the concrete. They havent fixed that. The maintenance department dug for a new electrical line this past year or so, they replaced the dirt and now when it rains the water flows towards my moble home and floods my carport and runs under my home. The snow storm at the end of 2018. The maintenance snow plow PUSHED snow piles up my drive 6 ft. Im elderly with Ashma. My family was visiting and witnessed this treatment happening to me. A 4 ft. high snow pile.On Feb. 28 2019 around 1:30 pm theMaintenance from the park came to my home to investigate why the water meter wasnt reading. Without my knowledge proceeded to climb under my mobile home before asking for my premission. I heard all this noise in my drive and came out to find someone climbing through the crawlspace wall. This is my personal property. Let me ask you, if you came home to found someone under your home without your premission isnt that breaking and entering?? I hate to think what happens when Im not at home. No return call from Carol the PM. So I have placed security cameras around my home to catch this intrusion.into my prooerty. Which I rents and my rent is always paid on time every month. When the kid crawled in over my water lines he damaged them. He was laying all over the top of my water lines and heat tape, told he supervisor the saw sparks from the heat tape, I wonder how that happened. The that guy knocked on my door to tell me I had a problem that I had to fix but that they dont do that hat kind of Maintenance repair for home owners anymore after UNH bought the park. So I had to call someone else to repair it At 2:30 pm in the afternoon. ??? $425 dollars later. Never got a return call from Carol the park PM. all because they had to change a battery in the water meter. Im on a fixed income and 2 days earlier was broke and they did this to me in freezing temperatures. Never asked to touch my personal property or offer to reimburse or return my call. Its March 20, 2019. New ownership just like the old ownership. My advice, dont bring or buy a moble home here. Im contacting the TV news channels to find out why the rent is so high and what am I getting for my $475 lot rental every month. Hassels. Rents are the highest in Lorain County, Ohio.
These people are slum Lords. Ive been here for 11 years and have needed help reinforcing my foundation during the last 5 years. The management has no issues coercing me to power wash my trailer (that I own) with veiled threats of eviction if we dont, but, because I own my trailer, they dont feel it necessary to fix my slumping foundation. Theyve done a lot of work to upgrade the curb appeal, but living in the back seemingly makes you a pariah. What can you do when they come to your door saying if you cant keep up with cleaning your trailer, maybe you shouldnt be here? Because financial success is virtually unattainable in Elyria unless youre a doctor, dentist or drive truck, its been hard keeping my finances under control, working all day and fathering two girls as well as answering their every beckoned call. I feel trapped, our house is slowly sinking into the mud and instead of doing their job and helping, they make hollow promises and passive aggressive threats. DO NOT COME HERE.

2022-05-24I love it here! Its so quiet very family oriented. My family loves coming to visit, they love the playground and picnic areas and the pool. Living in one of these mobile homes that are brand new practically is way more worth the money than living in a small apartment. And its pet friendly. I recommend it to all, If you want a small community within the city. Its wonderful.

2022-02-07The community is clean, quiet, and safe. Neighbors and management alike have been friendly and helpful. (A million thanks to the neighbor who helped push a pickup truck that was stuck in the snow in the middle of the night so my other half could get to work!) Very conveniently located, and people seem to care that our community is a comfortable, safe place to live.

2022-02-26Nice community, quiet, and well kept. Site rental is too high, especially since water and sewer are not included, and I dont trust the accuracy of the water and sewer charges. Also, community rules are not enforced. A neighbor installed a flagpole, in the ground, in front of his mobile home. Another neighbor has a lawn jockey outside his home. Also put up a covered structure behind his site. People park in the street, take their dogs out unleashed, or put them on tie outs, against property rules, and the only thing thats done, is they put reminders of the rules in the monthly newsletter. I still enjoy my community; we have a pool, and club house, its safe, quiet, and conveniently located .

2022-04-22Me and my husband was so excited to move their the guy their he automatically stereotype us we was looking for a nice size mobile home and he showed us a basic. So when I told him I needed something bigger he seemed frustrated that he had to show us another mobile home. I did the application online which it took 2 weeks for him to say we was not approved. I asked him why not because our credit is in good standing. So now I’m going to look more into it along with housing discrimination

2022-05-25Just moved here recently and so far its great aside from a few issues inside the home but they are very quick at responding and fixing issues! 😀 Well I guess it was just a new Comer thing because now its hard to get maintenance to do anything and when you say your availability for them to come in they dont really care about it, the communication with the office is also very poor and they obviously dont communicate with each other.

2021-10-12Initially frustrated by slow speed limits & extensive lot requirements, yet happy for my childrens safety & well maintained community. Nothing beats property ownership, but this is extreme value for rental. Amenities (pool, playground, basketball court) provide great outdoor activities for the kids, and multiple seasonal community events to participate in. Neighbors are great, and evenings are quiet. Its a perfect place for a family! Management is no nonsense, yet professionally responsive with valid concerns. Proud to call here home!

2022-02-03Is great quiet place to live but if youre used to a place that has a lot of rules and very structured this is not the place for you but they give you a lot to offer for your rent and money the people who run the place are really very cooperative but there is some favoritism to the people who own their houses but on the other hand theres a lot of folks that have been here for many years that wish it was still the way it was

2022-03-21Too many speed bumps!! We get it,take it slow. The roads are pitifully narrow especially when youre going to attempt backing out of a longer driveway that curves. The place truly needs freshening up. It looks depressing.
