Piada Italian Street Food in other cities:
This experience feels like something that cannot be real and I’m being pulled a prank on. Four people ahead of me and I’m waiting 45 minutes. The employees making snarky rude comments to each other about every customer. The filth. The grime. How does something go downhill so fast?
The food at Piada is super fresh and delicious. I had a salad (shown below). I didnt know what to choose. I like what they made me. It was spinach leaves covered with fresh strawberries, corn, and feta cheese. The lemon basil dressing on top made me want to go back for seconds!
We ordered for pick up, and the salad that came was just a container of lettuce, when we had ordered chicken, avocados, and lots of other toppings. Im not sure how someone could mess that up so badly. We called the manager who said they would issue a refund and they never did. Also, be aware that the in-store experience is extremely slow. Even if it only appears like there are 5 people in line, it will easily take 30+ minutes.
Ordered on the Piada app. Delivered through DoorDash. Items missing. Called the restaurant. They asked me to drive to the store and pick up the missing items. Why??? I paid a delivery fee!!! Plus I’m at work. So they said a manager could refund the item and put me on hold. After a 10Minute wait, I was cut off. I called back and recounted the whole story and asked for a manager. After a hold, a young lady named Tammy unapologetically told me since I ordered through the PIADA app/website, I would have to contact DoorDash for a refund. These people’s customer service is THE WORST. I’ve had problems before but this is the first I posted a review. Very likely they get your order wrong and good luck getting it fixed or a refund. This place needs new management.
Food’s not bad, but the service is. Made an online order and when I went to pick up, I gave the name for the order and was told it wasn’t ready. 20 min later I ask again, I’m told it’s still not ready, because they’re trying to get the customers out of the line through the store. Ask a third time, and the employee finally does her job and checks - I mean ACTUALLY checks - the name on the bags of food. Of course mine is right there and has been for close to an hour, and she offers no explanation or apology, but had an attitude when I ask her if it’s been sitting there this whole time. There are better small businesses to support.
I have never been to the restaurant. The food way good but the customer service sucks. I told them it was my first time there and the young lady was annoyed that I walked through the wrong side. I reminded her it was first time, she stated next time come the right way. FYI its my last time. Its a shame because the food is good. The was a young man that was very nice and explained the menu to me. Bathroom nasty. I dont normally write reviews but I had to do it. Customer service is number one. I should have known when I went in the restaurant I asked someone coming out, how was this restaurant. They told me that the place is going downhill. I hope the management starts caring put effort into the business.
Chipo-who?! Youve got to try this place. Ive seen a few locations around Cleveland and thought Id just try it. The food was excellent. Fresh and flavorful. The menu base was simple. But the topping choices gives a lot of options. This is being added to my rotation of comfort eats that you dont have to feel too guilty about. Im excited to try other things on the menu.
I’ve had very poor service my last 3 times ordering either the chicken is wayyyy over cooked, or something is missing from my order . This is the closest location to my job .that’s why I always order from this one , I don’t like going in to order because the workers are rude, and will leave you standing there until you ask to place an order…which isn’t terrible but the employees make it very known that they don’t want to make your food .which is weird because why do you even work here if it’s not what you want to do .
WORST PIADA EVER. This isn’t even Piada anymore. Food was all over the floor, work station where the food is behind the glass was a mess and the cashier tried to give me an old lemonade and I had to ask her 3 times for a fresh one. Where is a manager or owner who can be on this?
Rude staff. They are argumentative and the service slow. Not just slow; slow without any further effort to speed up when ppl are waiting. Paying customers such as myself wait and wait for food that should be ready at the set time when ordering online. The staff thought it was funny that customers were getting upset that food was not ready. They argued and one yelled out “I’m only one person, y’all are gna have to wait.” I frequent this location often and didn’t appreciate having to wait 20 mins for food I ordered 30 mins before arriving—I might as well had waited in the store line. I also did not appreciate being told to “calm down,” when I was just requesting my order be fixed (no attitude, no yelling). No one even apologized for the inconvenience. I will not be back to this location.
I tried Piada for the first time today via Doordash. I cant speak about the customer service or pasta, but the Farmers Market Salad was amazing. Everything is fresh and they give you generous portions. Id order again just for the lemon basil viniagrette. The lemon iced tea is sweetened, so just keep that in mind if ordering! Overall, thought everything was great.
Customer service needs improvement. I had Piada four years ago in Pittsburgh and loved it. I had no issues. The workers at the South Euclid location were very rude. We stood in line for thirty minutes while they proceeded to make several to go/carry out orders. Not one worker spoke to us or let us know they’d be with us momentarily. They left several items out of the bag (that cost extra). We had to continuously ask for the things we paid for. The manager was even a train wreck. She didn’t offer any assistance or leadership to the workers. Do not go to this location.
Im almost giving up on the fact that the food industry folks are passionate about what they do. Coming from a background myself a lot is changed. Nothing worse than walking in the door and they see you but when they get to the counter you get no hello or how are you doing its like youre an intrusion
Really disappointed in the quality of service, food and attitude of the employees. The employees made no attempt to pretend they had any interest in being there, they were extremely disrespectful, rudely confrontational, mumbled and you can forget the thought of simple basic courtesy’s like “have a nice day” or “enjoy your meal”. Overall a super awkward experience that could be prevented had the managers been a bit more selective in the hiring process. If you don’t want to be there—that’s fine, but I’m paying $25 for what is essentially two burritos—I’d expect a higher standard for the price. I would’ve let it pass had the food at least been up to par, however, they managed to mess up my order. I ordered two avocado piadas with calamari, one of them didn’t even have an avocado, the other used half of one that was well into the browning stage. I love Piada’s menu options but I will not be revisiting this particular one. I suggest taking your business elsewhere if you don’t want to be disappointed and enjoy ingredients that haven’t already begun the disintegration process.
Just left there about 5 mins ago. I have to write a review. I had a taste for some Piada so upon researching locations I found this to be the closest to me distance wise. However, due to the reviews I was very hesitant on stopping and I should of followed my first mind. Their customer service is horrible. Workers do not communicate with you. They stand there holding your bowl and they throw your food in the bowl. I said thank you multiple times because that’s what human beings do and each time I received no response. Their energy, body language and overall disposition is terrible. I understand you’re tired. Every working human being is tired but no one wants to eat food that was badly prepared.
I just moved in the area and decided to give the Cedar Rd Piada a try. Young lady asked what I would like and then immediately started talking to the chef behind her which was really unprofessional. She had to ask what I wanted 3 different times. Customer service needs improvement big time. The food we received was really good!
Ive been pretty disappointed with Piada lately. I hadnt gone there in a while but I visited twice in the past 2 months. This last time there was a line so I expected to wait but I am not sure why they let food get so low. It was a Saturday evening and when you run low on things, you should have them replenish before you get down to nothing. By the time I got up to order my food, there there was only one cheese stick left and was told Id have to wait about 10 minutes. Basically they were trying to discourage me from ordering one but I like those to eat with my pasta. Then when I ordered the crispy chicken, I had no idea they were completely out of that but they went ahead and made my pasta bowl. By the time the chicken and the cheese sticks were done, I was telling them that Im sure my pasta is cold. It was take out and by the time I got home I could feel a little warmth at the bottom of the bag but I dont know why they didnt mix the sauce in with everything. In all, my cheese sticks were still hot but just the level of service at this place has greatly declined. I guess when I get the taste for Italian food, Ill just make it myself or maybe Ill pop in for their Italian soda if its not too crowded. Or maybe Ill try the location on Richmond Road to see if I get better service.
The rocky river location sucks. Was slow only 2 ppl in store and they served both ppl that came in before me. I waited 10 min and girl would not tell me how long the wait will be I asked 3 times. I finally walked out with no food.. save your time. Dont order here. They definitely discriminate!!
Last time I try this location. Used the App, arrived on time for pickup, no food ready. Three people in line in front of me, (needed to make a sides adjustment, anyway.)Seven bowls in various stages of assembly on the counter, five people and the chef, (guy in kitchen whites) all miscommunicating over the orders/food in front of them, and direct customers. 5-minute wait, nobody acknowledges my presence, I leave without dinner, and get a charge-back to my credit card payment in the parking lot.
Poor customer service. No greeting. Front line worker rolling her eyes as if I’m wasting her time. Sorry you chose to come to work today. Nasty attitude sloppily slapping my food in bowl. Asked for two fried chickens and had to remind them about the second one. Worker picks up my chicken and threw it like a bounce pass to the next worker in line. That’s not how you handle people food.
Ordered through the app at 8:04pm. Food was to be ready at 8:15. Actually got the food at 9:05pm. SLOW SLOW SLOW. Management please do better! THAT IS 45 MINUTES LATE!!! Your food is delicious, but you are overpromising and under delivering on delivery time. Why would I even order if my food doesnt come for an hour and a half? I could have gone to whole foods and made it myself. I realize it is a pandemic, but you need to adjust your wait time or you will continue to lose customers. They also were favoring people ordering in line over call in. I saw walk in get their food before me! That tells me you favor walks ins as a business and devalue online orders. Not ordering online or better yet, not ordering at all. Terrible.
I love the food, but the service here is more bad than good, especially lately. Twice I’ve come in during business hours, but towards the end of the day, and been refused service. Most recently, me and half a dozen others including delivery couriers came for orders and were locked out. We were told that all of our orders were refunded and they were closing early. No way to do business. As much as I love the food and some of the employees who are consistently awesome, I’m hesitant to come back even living walking distance away.
The service here is very unprofessional. I visited this location around 7PM on May 14th when majority of restaurants were advertising carry-out only. Instead of counting the number of people who walked in, they locked us in the restaurant and refused to let new customers enter. They even announced (yelled) that they were not accepting walk-ins only door dash orders because they were frustrated with the online orders. The wait to be served was ridiculously long for walk-ins. People who ordered online didnt even have their orders started/finished when they arrived. There was no order in this restaurant. Staff members were arguing with each other about who should be doing what and their work stations were very messy and unorganized. They definitely do not follow protocol at this location. I have never experienced such bad service from Piada. I highly recommend you drive to a different location because the customer service here is just horrible.
First time ordering online after being quoted a time for pick up at 8:00pm didn’t receive the food until 8:40. Get home after 25 minute drive the order is wrong. 4 bowls with no sauce! Called and the sauce is in store didn’t make the bag. However I didn’t ask for sauce on the side. They offered to remake the order. 25 minutes back to pick up reorder. I was shocked as the worker on the line bought up a bag of sauce to refill the well. And what didn’t fit was dumped into my bowl. I thought that was very unprofessional not to mention the test for warmth with the finger in the sauce. (Gloves yes) No etiquette in service. First time and probably the last time at Piada.
Despite a previous review stating how unprepared this location is, i decided to give them a chance. It’s 4:15p on a Saturday and they were out of it seemed everything. The workers were not too friendly and unapologetic for their lack of preparation. I took my parents for a first time experience, and it left everyone lacking desire to ever come back. Not only was there a lack of preparation for food but also in the utensils for serving. I do like Piada typically, but this location definitely needs some training on how customer service and preparation for proper and efficient service.
I was very disappointed today with how badly my order from Piada was messed up. My husband ordered his bowl with Pomodoro sauce because he has a severe food allergy to even the smallest amount of dairy. When we got home with the curbside pickup order and he opened up the bowl, there was a large scoop of alfredo cream sauce smeared all over the entire bowl. It actually looked like they made him an alfredo bowl, and then topped it with Pomodoro sauce to try to cover it up. Not cool. My husband could have been severely Ill from this mistake. In addition, I paid an extra almost $2 for my son to have avocado on his child bowl but there was none. I called Piada and let them know. The manager wanted to remake the same bowl tomorrow. I declined and asked for my money back on my husbands order. I have a feeling I wont be refunded but we shall see...But seriously... HOW DIFFICULT IS IT TO MESS UP FREAKING PASTA?!
The management and service is absolutely horrible. We were standing there waiting for nearly 30 minutes, there were 5 people back there(including the manager) and they were taking forever to make ONE person’s order. They messed our order up and the manager had on NO MASK, NO GLOVES and he was touching the containers of people’s food, and his nails were disgusting, it was so much dirt underneath them! I cannot remember his name, but he wore glasses and had dreads. There’s no type of team work back there at all, they couldn’t even remember what our order was when it was time to ring it up. This location deserves proper management and someone to actually train the other employees. Do not recommend going to this location.
The regular size salad packaging has been changed to a smaller container than what was previously used for a regular size. Also, the prices have increased somewhat too. Paying $13.77 for a salad with a few pieces of steak on it and a cup size of Lobster Bisque soup is outrageous. No drink was ordered either as I took the food to go. No tax was charged. I wont be back anytime soon as this place is too expensive for the area. The food quality was very good however.
My husband and I ordered for the the first time through door dash. We wanted to support local restaurants but this was a terrible experience. I ordered the Avocado Piada with steak and when the food arrived, there was no steak in there at all. It costs $1.89 extra, so I called the restaurant. A very rude worker spoke to me and actually argued with me on the phone saying I need to bring it back in to show them..... totally defeating the point of delivery in this pandemic. Finally the manager got on the phone and apologized for the mess up and said they would remake the wrap for me and have a delivery person bring it. Waited for an hour, still nothing. I called back and they said they couldn’t contact Door Dash for a person to deliver it. And basically that I had to wait til they could contact them..... 3 hours later I still don’t have the food. Horrible service and way over priced for the little bit of food you actually do get. Will never be ordering from them again!!
I give this location a 2 for lack of consistency. Example: I am in love with the harvest salad. For a whopping $10.88, I always order a size regular and add chicken. Somehow this location always misses a listed ingredient. Ive had my salad missing pecans, missing corn and even tomatoes...but this time they went too far; NO AVOCADO!!! I mean, WTH 🤷🏽♀️🧐. And I wont even start on the always burnt garlic dough that has drastically shrunk in size over the past year.Do BETTER.Rev. 7/31/19; Im upping my star count from 2 to 3, b/c the Regional Chef reached out, took accountability and made it right. So I believe they care and want to put out quality product.Rev. 8/30/19; used coupon in store - had to remind the staff 3x not to miss my strawberries. Salad made it all the way to the cash register - still no strawberries.Rev. 9/16/19: Ordered on line - No strawberries (sad and frustrated). This salad just has to be ordered in person where you can monitor the ingredient input.
The manager chanele is really nice it was a bit of wait but she made sure she greated me with a smile and apologized to me for the wait. It was my family first time here and she made sure she talked everyone through the menu, also helped everyone pic entrees as well. she suggested the hot crispy chicken and it was really good. As a owner of a restaurant I was very pleased with her spectacular customer service.
This is a very unique restaurant. Basically you go down an assembly line style service when choosing your food. They have a wonderful menu of pasta fresh vegetables with sauces and wraps. You can pick and choose as you go down the line of all the items you wish to indulge in. They also serve a small variety of fruit flavored beverages as well as your standard drinks and they have a nice little outside dining area if you wish to enjoy the summer weather.
Twice i have ordered from this location carry out. Neither time has the order been ready when I got there. The most recent time they gave me the wrong order, then when I went back they told me the piada stick stove was broken. They said they took them off the order but did not..
First time I visited this chain of restaurants in OH. Amazing concept and good food options.Amazing Italian street food restaurant chain. Superb food, courteous staff and good varieties. This particular shop is not well maintained, you can sense this when you enter the shop. Inside the hotel you can see it is not organized and you will see used utensils and fresh sticks spread across on the floor or in the shelves.Overall I love Piada chain, but this shop is not so well maintained.
Such a very bad experience. Ordered delivery. They sent a soup that was less than half filled, no dressing for the mediocre salad, and they didnt even give us our calamari side. They also forgot the pecans on my salad. We tried to call them for over half an hour, but they will NOT answer the phone! We have always loved piada, but this is horrible. They were better when they first opened, but have been seriously declining, and tonight was ridiculous! Do not go to this location!!!
Came in on dec 11 and dec 12 it’s one of my favorite places and my family’s favorite as well chef chanele was great as usual. even my husband said to me while we waited in line that are favorite person is here and I looked up and it was her. she is always pleasant and nice when we come in. I just love her energy and she keeps the line moving without rushing anyone who likes to take there time (my husband). I noticed she haven’t been there as often as before and I told her we missed her being in the restaurant when we come. I told her have tried to make my bowl the way she makes it when I come but I guess it be missing the love she puts into making my meal. She is very good at what she does. One thing I like about what she said that makes us coming back is the first time we came she told me I make the food how I would want to eat it. Out of all the managers that be there on night time she has the best customer service skills I have seen. It have been times that we have walked out at night because the atmosphere is not the same when she is gone. Good job chef
I absolutely love this place. I found this place in Columbus and it wasnt anywhere else yet. My family waited until it finally came up to us. If I had to describe it to any, I would say its and Italian Chipotle. They have a bunch of different toppings you can use. They have these Piada Sticks that are to die for! You cant go wrong with anything you get! Its all amazing!
I have dined at Piadas before and have amazing experiences. However, this particular location is managed poorly. Both times I have eaten at this location the food was poorly prepared. During one of my visits, the ingredients for the meal I selected were not in stock, and it was midday on a Monday. Staff are welcoming to guests but were observed to argue with one another. If you want mindless, mediocre food eat here, otherwise continue searching elsewhere.
Portion sizes have rapidly been getting smaller over the last few years. I love the pasta but I hate when I get a large and the bowl isnt even half full. The service is also lacking. The girl wouldnt even look at us when she was talking, she was just looking off into nowhere and I had to keep saying what because she was mumbling. I asked for chicken and she put sausage in my bowl and wasnt listening when I tried to tell her it was wrong. Honestly its a long wait when its busy and over $20 for two people, not worth it any more with all the great options nearby.
Food is okay, the customer service is awful and expect to be missing items. Never had an order here that was correct the first time. Dont bother ordering anything online because you will need to go back three times before they get it right. Im usually not picky but how can you be this bad every time.
The staff needs more training on organization and customer service. I watched crispy chicken fall on the floor and the staff pick it up and proceed to almost put it on another persons bowl until I told her to stop. She rolled her eyes and pitched it after I called her out. Another staff member failed to change her gloves after cleaning the counter then proceeddd to touch seafood AND still didn’t change her gloves before touching another meal. The host was extremely rude. He got mad when we asked if we can add a drink to our order after he didn’t even bother to ask if we wanted one in the first place
We used to eat here twice a month. After this week, we won’t return. The last couple of visits I’ve noticed it’s dirty (overflowing garbage cans, food spilled, empty pans, etc.) and staff is slow. Im very concerned about hygiene, how employees remove and put on gloves, dirty aprons, long false polished nails (major foodservice no-no), and training. Plus, they were understaffed and trying to fill online orders simultaneously which made me wonder about following food safety protocols. Done with this one.
I love Piada’s food but this particular establishment is sometimes messy with the food presentation. There may be sauce on the outside of the container or the way the salad is prepared is not evenly distributed in the bowl with various ingredients spread throughout, but rather clumped together. These are simple fixes and I hope when I eat here in the future there is improvement.
Food was good but service was terrible. My son wanted plain pasta. I was willing to pay full price for a kids meal, but asked to have some extra pasta since he didnt want toppings. They refused. Lots of attitude with this and other things. I can see why they arent busy....
Very poor service. Dont even bother ordering online because unless you are doordash they go through a whole line of people before finally doing yours. Ordered at 8:53 pm, it was supposed to ready at 9:04 pm, received my food at 9:20 pm. After waiting all that time I didnt check the bag because I saw them make it. The worst thing is they put my sauces for one of my pasta bowls on anotger bag, so even though I saw them put it in the bag, it wasnt the bag they gave me! Super disappointed.
First time here. I have always been curious. 3 stars are solely based on the dish I got. I ordered the pasta with pesto and sun dried tomatoes. I love pesto. This was bland, dish was cold and the sun dried tomatoes were really gross. Service was very friendly though. I will definitely be back to try the other stuff, but the pasta was a no.
First let me say I love piada. I have been to several other locations and had an awesome experience each time. This specific location was the worst experience I have had in a while. While the staff was nice, they audibly talk about how unappealing the food looked that was being put into my order. I ordered the steak avocado wrap. When I ate it it was steak and corn with some bland white sauce. Thats it. Not to mention it was smaller than a 12 oz. Can of soda for $8.99. My wife ordered the tasca sandwich the chicken was inedible it was so over cooked. It was disappointing to say the least and I think its mostly a management issue, but it was so bad I felt it needed mentioned.
Average pasta. They kind of skimp on the sauce. I havent tried the wraps, which seem popular. Not quite worth the price. For pasta and a drink youre paying about $10. It would be a good deal at $7-8. They have 4 flavors of Italian soda on a refillable fountain, which is great if you dine in, but their only cup size is 16-20 oz and costs $2.50 so its not great for a to go drink. The dine in experience is cafeteria like. It is definitely no Mirkos, but if youre craving cheap pasta, its about the only option in the area.
Whoever decided to come up with an Italian fast food was very smart. I like that you can add some extras or switch up your sauce and your proteins and personalize it each time you go. I absolutely love the Italian soda. Wish they sold it in bottles because I would definitely buy some for home. The only thing thats missing from Piada is some sort of dessert but other than that, its definitely worth trying at least once
Sensory nightmare! Its loud and unpleasant.Much like many made to order places, everything is just concocted on an assembly line, except its mediocre pasta. If you or anyone in your party have sensory issues, then avoid this place like it is the innermost circle of hell. This place is a short drive from many nicer destinations: family restaurants, fine dining, and even some chains that are far better.Go here if you want to lose your hearing and hate food that has taste or real texture.
Theyre food is fantastic! Its different, its not the same old same old burgers, pizza, ect... I personally love the Piadas but they have great salads and pasta bowls. Theres alot of healthy choices. The people who work there are excellent, theyre friendly. Its my favorite place to get take out or meet a friend for lunch.
This was my favorite Piada but when I went the girl behind the counter moved a trash can with her gloves and proceeded to make food with her gloves. I had to ask her to change them. Unacceptable and disgusting and if I wasn’t there at that time, I would’ve missed seeing her doing this. Restaurants really need to train and educate people on health. Like come on now. Why don’t you know to change your gloves after touching TRASH. What else are you doing!? It’s simple. Change your gloves and wash your hands! Period!
I ordered a create your own pasta bowl, calamari and a pepperoni piada stick online and chose Grab and Go. However, this location does not have the Grab and Go shelf so youd have to go up to the counter anyway. The calamari was drenched in oil, a bit disappointing. Everything else was good. Not my favorite Piada location though.
UPDATE6/22/19 The food was ok but the staff was not listening for example ask for crispy chicken I got grilled which wasnt as good as the cripy chicken. Then when I ask for light sauce I got 4 scoops and she was going for a fifth. OLD REVEIW Tasty food we have been a few times now. I like their traditional red sauce much better than the white sauce they have, the meatballs and salmon are both surprisingly good. Dont forget the garlic dough!
Piada has stopped offering selections like sun-dried tomatoes and mushrooms, but the change from one large meatball to the three smaller ones was the biggest issue I have. They have been overly salted and almost unbearable to eat sometimes. I cant say Ill be going back as often after these changes.
Definitely wont return!! This establishment has the WORST customer service ever!! And the employees are so very unprofessional and ontop of that cant add! The young girl at the register had the nerve to have a attitude because she overcharged me. Terrible Terrible Terrible!
Very incompetent. I ordered pickup online and when they didn’t have my order ready they apologized and made my order once they found my order slip. Unfortunately, they made me the wrong order so they had to make my order for a second time. I get home to find that they had just piled on my actual order on the messed up order. I ordered a ‘make it yourself’ with diavolo and pomodoro sauce (I do not like creamy white pasta sauces), but they made me a carbonara with calamari. I can’t even eat the meal I paid for. My order was set to be picked up at 845 and I left at 930. There’s another piada in beachwood, I would recommend going there instead.
Fresh well made food, with phenomenal service. I was waiting for my food for about 5 minutes and upon finding out, the manager immediately tended to my order while providing me a gift card for my next visit. This kind of service is very important to me, and is something that is hard to find these days. I highly recommend this location as well as the entire chain.
They completely ignored us. No greeting and they all looked very upset for some reason. My husband’s first language is not English. He tried to explain something to them and they ignored him. He had ordered the crispy chicken which was completlely over cooked. He is not a picky eater at all so it must have been really bad.
I was sceptical about coming because of some of the reviews but I came for the First time here Tuesday night and I must say I loved it. I told the chef it was my first time so I didn’t know what to get and she said ok and helped create my pasta to my liking then she told me what she liked as well and what I should try I really enjoyed it and I appreciate her helping me along the way. Then once I got to the register she told me I didn’t do to bad and that I will be a piada pro in no time. Thank you and I will be back again.
Food was ok, not great. Front staff was rude and brusque: I asked about gluten free options, she told me I could have the pasta. I asked her to check because I have an allergy and could get sick, it took a while and she came back saying only the salads are gf. No apology for the mistake. Drink (and ice and water) machine broken.Lady in front of me had a gift card from the manager but they gave her a really hard time about it, took a long time asking her questions and checking. Dont know that Ill be back, at least not THIS location.
Terrible for Piada. Dont waste your money here go 5 minutes down the road to the one in beachwood. If you want clumps of noodles that look like theyve been cut up by a 4 year old be my guest. By the time you drive back to work to eat the entire bowl will be a solid mass that you cant mix or eat without it just being chunks of what you ordered. Idk how they mess it up but its not good. If you have a craving for piada take the time to go down the road. Certainly dont bring anybody here for their first experience, theyll never want to eat it again at the price.
So fast and yummy! If youve never been, piada is like Italian Chipotle, where you build your own salad or pasta bowl. The ingredients taste fresh and the combinations are delicious. I recommend the deluxe ceasar. Even the small was enough for dinner (and I was hungry!)They also have cute Italian sodas in a fountain. I recommend mixing the peach and lemon :)
Their food is great. I always feel super rushed when I come here. Especially at first when I was trying to figure out what each of their dishes were. Im not super familiar with a lot of Italian foods. They answered questions well enough, but pushed me through the line even when no one was behind me.
Lousy new manager! Been here before, as I enter to order a salad to go, the guy stops the line and says that myself and a girl that sometimes I come with, are always packing up the salad with lots of toppings, and according to him, we do it on purpose so that we may split it, mind you, we order calamari and chicken on it, and the salad becomes $12-$14. isnt that enough for a salad at a fast food place? By default, topping portions are extremely skimpy, you can barely see or taste the chicken or other toppings. I should charge you for two salads he said. Who the hell is this guy? Send him back to the Beachwood store where he came from! Mind you, all thisis happening while a line is forming behind! I walked out! Are you sure you dont want to stay? he said. No thanks I dont need to be insulted in front of the waiting staff and customers. Finally I pointed out as I have in the past, that the new grains bowl didnt resemble the photo promoting it above the counter. Either, their preparation of that dish is skimpily prepared, which I believe it is, or your photo is very misleading, which I also believe it is. So it is one or the other or in this case both, sort of a TV dinner with a good photo and a mediocre terrible product. Why not make it right! In the summer you also have a big problem with your strawberry-avocado salad. They are always running out of key ingredients here, and when they have them you barely get any, might as well bring a magnifier to locate them. Overall a crappy experience made worse by lousy management! In conclusion, I walked out and went to Panda Express instead, and carried out a dinner which was consistent in taste and portion.
It was fair. Service was both fast (frantic) and still slow. Cold and impersonal. Main line was a mess, store its self was fairly clean. I wouldnt avoid it in the future, but I also doubt I would go out of my way to visit again either. In an area with a lot of choices all I can say is.... this is one of them.
I was visiting from England and I ate here several times. The staff were working their fingers to the bone with the crowds wanting their order. They did get my order wrong a couple of times but were very sorry. But what they made for me I ate and loved! So no problems. I would highly recommend here
I was visiting some friends for the weekend and visited Piada for lunch. I had a delicious pasta bowl with a Piada stick, My friend had a salad and she was able to choose exactly which toppings she wanted as they prepared it in front of us. I have visited other locations and this one was no different in providing a great fresh meal that tasted fabulous!
I know theres more important things in the world, but sometimes its just the principle. The sign on the front door of Piadas says Students, eat here between 2 and 5 pm and get and entree and a free drink for $7.00. So I took my high-schooler there today and they refused to give him his free drink because he didnt go to college. Maybe the manager should go back to school and learn about bait & switch marketing.
The food is amazing but their customer service was horrible. Is like they’re in a hurry. I was trying to add few items to my order and they were already trying to bag the order. I asked why are you rushing me? I am paying for this food that I am buying and going to eat and you are rushing us? I said there is no one behind us so what is the hurry? I am never going back to this location!!!! I say again I love the food hate their customer service!!
Every employee has a nasty attitude and looks at you like you are crazy when you ask for simple things. Everyone acts as if your asking for too much. One employee was actually avoiding to take our order.we come to this location muitlpe times and everytime its a terrible experince. I only come here because of the convenience and the location but I will definitely make the trip to beachwood next time. I would not recommend anyone to come here!!! This place needs to hire new staff with better attitudes and actually want to work!!
I love the food here its great but today there was a grill cook as I was told she was a manager also heavy set black woman with red hair that wasnt in a hair net preparing our food which I feel was unsanitary and her attitude was terrible she yelled at the front line staff because I had a large order which wasnt a problem paying for this was very unprofessional and when my wifes order came up she threw her food on the counter I wont ever return here I will patronize another establishment in my area.
Tasty convenient and relatively inexpensive. Piada is like an Italian Chipotle.Customer service, okay.Food hot and delicious. This particular piada used to be much better. No peach Bellinis, leaking drink machine, and the restaurant needs a good wipe down. The staff is cranky.
Great option for wraps, pasta, or salads with an Italian theme. Lines can be extensive during dinner hours, so it may make sense to order online to beat the rush. My favorite option is the crispy fritte Piada, but I see most people ordering pasta most likely due to the generous portions.
The premise that an Italian restaurant can do what Chipotle does (basic, same ordering structure only with Italian fare) proved to be unowrthy of a stop. The Piada Stick we had was burnt and should NOT have been served. The Alfredo sauce was runny and the quality of food was not good at all. My wife and I will not return and will patiently wait in the long lines at the Chipotle for our next burrito bowl.
It was a bit of a wait on 11/14/19 I came in around 7:30 chef chanele was great she was doing her best to get everyone out the restaurant she made sure she apologized to everyone for the long wait and greeted everyone with a smile I really enjoyed her customer service
It should be no stars for the service I received by the chef that was on duty this afternoon he is rude and disrespectful also very aggressive I’m not use to coming to this location and he made it worse he basically was arguing with me because I decided to do a create your own piada instead of the blt piada not happy at all where ever he came from he need to be sent back unprofessional
Food was pretty good, but service was slow, tables were dirty, bathroom was stinky and the floor was sticky. Check out the trail of muck on the pavement leading out of the restaurant door. It was a shame because I went months ago and was very pleased with food, service and establishment.
I just had to say I came here and there was a long wait and even though the girl on stone had a really bad attitude the short chef was really polite and was very apologetic for the lack of running out of items and having to wait on the items I appreciate that because it was my first time coming here and I didn’t know what to get but she helped me with every step of the way I understand it was very busy but I enjoyed her customer service
Flies/Nets in food and don’t put all ingredients in order, there preparing to close 830 9 o’clock before closings which is why they have no bacon or sauce etc. Never received meat once and came back they just poured it on top of my meal and didn’t remake the whole meal again VERY POOR SERVICE
Its all about finding what works for you. I personally believe that all of the hot(temp) sauces are extremely bland and lack flavor while the room temp ones are pretty amazing/quite flavorful. Its like chipotle..you need to find the right COMBINATION. Plus the Cannoli sticks are to DIE for. YUM.BUT I must say that the piada...burrito sort of thing is pretty basic and they should go back to the drawing board w/ it.

2022-04-30Took my mom to 𝐏𝐢𝐚𝐝𝐚 for lunch on a weekday afternoon. It was slightly busy but our food was prepared in a timely manner. I usually order a pasta 🍝 bowl with 🍣 salmon but instead I tried the farmers market salad with chicken and a power bowl. The salad was decent. Service was great!

2022-06-15The food is very good, the service was not very friendly and not very solicitous. However, it could have something to do with the fact that it’s 85° in the restaurant. Apparently ownership is too cheap to run the air conditioning. That would probably aggravate me if I was an employee working in a hot kitchen in a hot restaurant.

2022-04-08I had to go and look at the reviews before leaving this one. Normally this is a great place to go to, but today all three employees were cracking jokes and laughing with each other other so much so that they barely paid attention to how they were preparing my food. My avocado wrap wasnt even placed on the warmer that toasted it a little. And then the girl all whilst they continued their joke telling back and forth and howling and hooting put so much sauce on the wrap that the moment I took off the foil it speaped avocado dressing all down the foil as I unwrapped it. And lastly, after the man who I usually always compliment on his beautiful locks, took my bag and literally tossed it over to me. It hit the counter with so much force. I had to stand there for a minute and think if I was just going to ask for my money back. This was a horrible experience and Ill never go back

2022-06-13A little disappointed. I know prices are crazy right now but they use to takes two strips of bacon and crumbled on top now it’s 3 small teaspoons is all they can give you after it’s been minced into almost powder. Then the salmon is a 3 inches cube for like 4-6 dollars. You pay extra for everything which some stuff I get but damn.

2022-06-01Dirty…restaurant not clean even at the beginning of opening. Soon as you walk in you can see the floors and rugs haven’t been cleaned. Would be nice if cleanliness was really taken serious these days…

2022-03-22I feel like the biggest A hole. I ordered on the app and thought everything was fine. Got to the restaurant. Realized my order isn’t what I wanted & thought they messed up my food. In fact, I messed up when ordering. The manager was kind and so were the employees.EDIT: ordered online 3/21/22.. entire order was messed up. Had to get one remade. Thought the other one was fine, but they gave me spaghetti noodles instead of penne. The girl at the register was nice about the remake. But I’m sad about my noodles :(

2022-07-19I am disappointed in the quality of the food I paid for and the service I experienced. I stood in line by myself without anyone greeting me behind the counter while the 3 workers looked me in my eyes and continued to talk amongst themselves complained about how they didnt have enough staff and how they hated their jobs. As a customer I feel like thats super unprofessional to talk like that in front of a customer and it made me feel uncomfortable, not to mention how soggy my penne noodles were and the squash I got on my bowl was super soggy and oily. I literally could not even eat my large bowl ......it was so unappetizing

2020-06-22I ordered a salad on 6/13. I added chicken and asked for no pecans. The salad came with NO chicken, which is an extra 1.89. Plus, it came with pecans. I am allergic which is why I requested for them to be removed. I called and spoke to a manager immediately. He pulled up my order, and showed the employee that made it, (I overheard him speaking with her). He let me know he would refund my order and apologized. I would’ve been fine and continued to order there, but it is 6/22 and have yet to receive a refund.
